Answering Your Questions About Home Garden Irrigation

Q: Do I really need irrigation for my home garden?
A: The most compelling reason to use any type of irrigation system is to provide an assured, continuous supply of the most vial requirement for plant growth - WATER. Drought stress for even decidedly short periods of time like a week or even just a few days can dramatically affect the yield and quality of your garden at harvest. A reliable, efficient irrigation system protects the substantial amount of time and money you have invested in your landscape and garden projects, so yes, we believe it is absolutely essential to use an irrigation system for your home garden.

Q:What type of irrigation system is best for my needs?
A:There are two primary considerations in determining the best type of irrigation system to use for any garden: uniformity of water delivery, and control over the quantity of water being delivery. In fact, it is often just as stressful and damaging to your plants to “overwater” as it is to “underwater”. In our experience, drip irrigation systems are far more effective and economical in addressing these issues than by other methods (sprinkler, flood, etc).

Q:What are the different types of drip irrigation systems on the market?
A:1) EMITTER: These systems deliver water through non-porous plastic tubing to evenly spaced emitters or “drippers”. These emitters are fairly easy to install but require frequent maintenance to adjust flow and unplug. The initial investment is also quite significant, as is the ongoing operational expense of supplying filtered, chlorinated water.

2) DRIP TAPE: This collapsible, black plastic film tubing has emitter holes spaced 8-12″ apart. Pressure and flow rates are reduced through sealed chambers which tend to plug even when using filtered and chlorinated water. The initial cost of the tubing is relatively low, but generally has a short life-span riddled with clogging issues.

3) POROUS RUBBER HOSE: Made of scrap rubber tires, this product emits water through small perforations in the hose wall. It suffers from non-uniformity of water distribution, short product life due to rotting and clogging, and is considerably more costly than alternative products.

4) MICRO-POROUS TUBING: There is only one manufacturer of micro-porous irrigation tubing that we have been able to find, International Irrigation Systems, located in Canada. Their primary product is the Irrigro Drip Irrigation System ( www.irrigro.com ). This micro-porous tube has (as this phrase implies) millions of microscopic pores through which water is emitted. Using relatively low pressure such as that of a garden hose or gravity tank (anything 3-5psi) the tube, when pressurized, will fill completely until a critical pressure threshold of about 3psi is reached, at which point water begins to be uniformly emitted from all of the pores at once. The material used in the tube itself is a type of spun-bonded plastic supplied by DuPont that is extremely strong, immune to bacterial growth, and impossible to clog. If that weren’t enough, product life expectancy is about 10 years, which is very rare for irrigation systems. We are thrilled with the effectiveness of this technology, and recommend the Irrigro Drip Irrigation Systems to everyone. Once again, their website is: www.irrigro.com.

Whats A Turbo?

But what on earth is it?

Well, its a combination of two wheels, usually mounted on the very same shaft. When I say a wheel, I mean that it is more like a fan, impeller or propeller. Though none really describe accurately, what either wheel is.

A fan will blow something in a particular direction, while it must also suck something from a particular place.

An impeller is like a fan but usually associated with liquid, and would accurately describe the apparatus which pumps water in the water pump housing of your car.

A propellor is like a impeller and can apply to air as in an aeroplane, or a liquid as in the device for propelling a boat in either a forward or backward direction.

But a turbo has two forged wheels, one known as a compressor wheel and the other is known as the turbine or turbo wheel.

The turbine wheel is in the exhaust stream or path and the compressor wheel is in the air intake stream or path.

With both wheels on the very same shaft, then it follows that if one turns, then the other must turn as well. No pulleys, belts or external driving devices!

So, as the exhaust “fumes” are forced or evacuated from the cylinder by the action of the exhaust stroke, then one is in a position to harness this power. With a conventional non-turbo engine, such forces are wasted to the environment.

With a turbo system in place, the exhausted air causes the turbine wheel to spin, which must turn the compressor wheel, which then pumps air back into the intake system. While the air is not compressed to any large degree (as compression goes), this gives a considerable advantage when compared to an engine without a turbo. In the absense of a turbo, intake pressure is dependent on the induction stroke and other channelling factors.

Where Do We Go After Death

The innumerable recorded cases of past life experiences are proof of the concept of life after death. In all the recorded cases of rebirth, it was found that there was a variable time lag between the death of the person and his next birth on Earth. So, where does the person go after death till his rebirth on Earth? Is it a single place or are there a variety of places? If so, what are the factors that decide where a particular person will go after death?

In this article, we present the answers to these questions obtained through spiritual research done by seekers of the Spiritual Science Research Foundation with highly developed sixth sense (ESP).
What happens after death?
When a person dies the physical body ceases to exist but rest of his existence or consciousness continues which is known as the subtle body. It comprises of the mental, causal (intellect) and supracausal body (super ego). This body then goes to one of the 13 planes of existence other than the Earth plane.
Subtle planes of existence
There are 14 main planes of existence in the Universe. Seven of them are positive planes and seven are negative planes.
The seven positive planes are Heaven and Higher Regions of Heaven. They are occupied by living persons and subtle bodies doing righteous deeds and who are engaged in doing spiritual practice towards God-Realisation as the ultimate in spiritual growth.
The other seven are negative planes commonly known as Hell. They are occupied by the subtle bodies that have done unrighteous deeds and are engaged in spiritual practice according to the negative path to attain supernatural powers. This spiritual power is primarily used to enhance one’s control over others or for negative purposes.
The Earth region is the first plane in the hierarchy of the positive planes.
Importance of subtle components in us
Each one of us is made up of three subtle basic components. These components are spiritual in nature and cannot be seen but they define our personalities. They are:

  • Sattva: Purity and knowledge
  • Raja: Action and passion
  • Tama: Ignorance and inertia
  • In an average person in the current era, the basic subtle tama component is as high as 50%.
The ‘weight’ of the subtle body is primarily a function of the amount of the subtle basic tama component in our being.
Attributes affecting our destination after death
The more we are filled with the raja and tama components the more we display the following characteristics which add to our ‘weight’ and impact which region we go to after death:

    • More attachment to worldly things and selfishness
    • More unfulfilled desires
    • Feelings of revenge
    • Higher amount of sins
    • Higher amount of personality defects such as anger, greed, fear, etc.
    • A higher amount of ego: By ego we mean how much a person identifies himself with his individuality in the form of his body, mind and intellect as opposed to the soul within
    • Resulting in lower spiritual level
    • Conclusion
The above facts give us a fair idea of the possible after-death consequences of how we live our lives. Only with spiritual practice or with extreme merits can one go to the higher planes of existence and avoid unhappiness and punishment enjoying higher levels of happiness. Once we go to the lower regions such as the Nether region or Hell, we stay there and experience severe unhappiness for centuries until we completely pay for our sins by suffering the intense punishments and get a chance to be reborn on Earth.
To do consistent spiritual practice on the Earth plane according to the 5 basic laws of spiritual practice is a guaranteed way of advancing to higher realms of existence after physical death.

X Games Party Theme

X Games are now becoming the world’s most popular games and is gaining popularity throughout the world. If your kids really like X Games, then you can just theme an X Games Party. That specific event can be a birthday party, graduation party, a book party etc. I went with my son to his friend’s birthday party and I was really surprised that the entire party was themed with the X Games. They did an excellent job decorating the room and there were posters and banners that had a background of the X Games.

My son really liked the X Games theme and I told him that we are going to decorate his birthday party the same way. I searched the internet to find out as to what are the different ideas I could get for decoration as well as the different things related to it. I found a couple of sites on X Games Party and the items for the X Games Party that got my attention were table covers, invitation cards, dinner plates, cups, matching spoons, forks and knives, lunch napkins, crepe paper streamers, balloons, and candles.

Those were exactly the things that I needed for the party and I ordered them after making the list of guests with my friends. We decorated the room for his birthday and all the guests who showed at the party really enjoyed and liked the decoration. My friend at the party wanted to know as to how I got the idea of this theme and I told her about it and also told her that she should go on a search engine and type X Games Party and she will find a lot of information on the related subject and also gave the number of the service from where I got the stuff from.

6 Ways To Super Charge Your Lose Weight Fast Plan

For many of us our excess fat is becoming a burden on our bodies and is increasing our likelihood of health problems and a shorter life. While that should be our primary motivation for losing weight, the truth is that many of us want to lose weight to look slimmer, more attractive and downright sexy! Whatever is motivating you - and probably it is a bit of both - here are 6 tips to keep in mind when you are planning your “Slim and Healthy” campaign. These tips can super charge your efforts!

1. Eat 4 to 5 Smaller Meals Each Day

No skipping meals, particularly breakfast. If you skip breakfast, your body will be worried that there won’t be enough food. So it will go into survival mode and hoard fat. By eating a meal or a snack every 3 to 4 hours you reassure your body and it keeps your metabolism at a higher level throughout the day…burning more calories. Don’t eat a large meal before bedtime. In fact, don’t eat any large meals - just smaller meals.

2. Eat Protein and Some Dairy

Researchers found people who eat more protein lose more body fat than those eating more carbohydrates. Makes sense. You use protein to build lean muscles.

A study of women dieters found those who included dairy products in their diet lost more weight than those who didn’t. Now don’t go overboard though. Make sure the dairy products you eat are low fat.

Cut back on carbohydrates, sugars and fats. You will notice after eating a meal with white flour, white rice, white pasta, or potatoes that you don’t feel very energetic. Your metabolism has been lowered.

Remember variety is important in any diet to ensure you are ingesting the vitamins and minerals your body needs to properly function.

3. Water, Water Everywhere - and Lots to Drink

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. It helps to keep a large water bottle beside you at your work place. Water flushes out the fat derivatives as the fat is broken down. It also helps with digestion, assimilation of food, waste removal and the elimination of toxins.

4. Get 7 Hours Sleep a Night

A research study found that women who get 7 hours sleep a night typically weigh less than women who only get 5 to 6 hours. They don’t know why this is.

5. Exercise (that double 4-letter word!)

Exercise increases our body temperature and this suppresses our appetite. Our metabolic rate remains increased for several hours after the exercise so more calories are burned..

Aerobic exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, etc. works to exercise your heart and lungs. Get out every day if possible. It doesn’t have to be done in one big burst of energy. Incorporate several energetic episodes into your day. Set a long-term goal to accumulate at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity on most, or all, of the days of the week.

Strength building exercises. These increase you muscle mass. This helps by increasing your metabolism. Plus, muscle cells burn more calories than fat cells…a lot more calories. Weight training will give you a slim athletic-looking body, not bulging muscles unless you really train for that. In particular, many woman need to increase their upper body muscle strength. This helps your heart.

6. Plan Your Meals and Shop Ahead

It is important to set out your food plan and ensure you have the foods at hand. Don’t sabotage yourself. Shop carefully so you are prepared. Write your menu out. Find low fat, low sugar recipes and experiment with spices. Buy low calorie salad dressings or make your own. Read the labels on the packages you buy. Know how many calories, fat grams and sugar it contains.

Reserve one day a week when you treat yourself but keep the quantity down. You don’t have to deprive yourself of food you enjoy. Just reduce your portion by 25% or more from what you would have eaten previously. Enjoy the taste. Roll the food around in your food and really experience it.

Establish a habit of eating healthy foods that you like. It has been said that it takes 21 days to establish a habit. Once you have, you will find yourself enjoying the taste of fresh fruits and vegetables. Your taste for sugar and fat will be almost gone. You will also enjoy the feel of your slimmer body and having more energy to enjoy your life.

The Get CLEAR Process for Business Success

Have you been struggling to reach your goals and achieve the level of success you desire and deserve? Then use my Get CLEAR Process to get the results you want.

Clear the Clutter. The first step in the process is to eliminate the clutter that takes up physical and mental space in your life. Your goal is to make room for your future by getting rid of the excess “stuff” that creates chaos in your surroundings and clogs your mind with overwhelm.

To accomplish this, you’ll want to first select an area to work on-whether that’s your desk, your home office, or some other space that’s in disarray-and then implement a sorting strategy to 1) throw away things you don’t use or need; 2) give away or recycle items that someone else can use; and 3) place in file folders paperwork and other documents you need, and place in containers your tools of the trade and other supplies. Everything should have its own designated space so you can find things quickly and easily every time you need them.

Clearing the clutter frees up your mind to focus on matters that are really important to you. You’ll be amazed at how much more time and energy you have to do the things you love and that bring you the highest return when you’ve purged your physical space and put systems in place to keep you organized for the long term.

Lighten Your Load. This next step involves taking inventory of your responsibilities, deciding which priorities are most important to help you accomplish your goals, and then either delegating those things that can be done by others so you’re not trying to do everything yourself, or saying “no” to projects and obligations that prevent you from achieving your objectives.

Managing your time is key because it’s easy to sabotage yourself by taking on too much. Pick your top three priorities and then set boundaries so you can stay focused and on track. Use a time blocking strategy to plot your scheduled tasks and stick to your schedule as much as possible. Treat yourself as if you are the client-you must get the work done, so focus on doing just that.

Another time management strategy is to build accountability into your system-enlist a buddy or a team member who will hold you responsible for achieving the goals you’ve set for yourself. This also means making sure that others don’t overstep their bounds by expecting you to do things that are not in alignment with your priorities. Learn how to say “no.”

Establish Your Goals. Your ultimate success relies on having, and reaching, a concrete set of goals. Using your top three priorities from the previous section, put your goals in writing and evaluate them against your responsibilities. Ask yourself: Are my goals specific? Are they measurable? Are they realistic?

You need to be very clear and concise about what outcomes you want to achieve, and what timelines are involved in getting from one milestone to the next. This will help guide you to accomplish tasks, measure your progress, and be accountable for your time. It also helps ensure that your goals are in alignment with the rest of your life. If not, you will continue to struggle with frustration and overwhelm as you try to find that balance, which brings us to the next step.

Align Your Goals. As you’re establishing your goals and setting timelines, evaluating your current responsibilities against what your goals are, you will probably discover that you’ll need to include other activities in your timeframe too, such as taking classes, creating joint venture partnerships, outsourcing projects, and building a team of people who can help you get from where you are to where you want to be. This is part of aligning your goals to make sure they fit with your life. Having a team and asking for their input also helps you learn what is and isn’t working so you can make necessary changes and improvements in your systems and products.

Every year you’ll want to revisit and realign your goals so that you’re keeping up with industry trends and technological advances that can help you maximize your time and run your business more efficiently, which is how you align yourself for success.

Realize Your Potential. This is the result of all the work you’ve done so far: clearing the clutter, lightening your load, establishing and aligning your goals, so you are responsible for your own success. You are now able to use leverage to realize your potential-leveraging your time to increase productivity; leveraging other people’s time and energy to accomplish tasks you delegate to them; creating partnerships with others so you can leverage their contacts and database to expand your market reach; leveraging your knowledge to create information products that are out there selling for you even when you’re not working.

You are now focused with accountability built into your system to keep you on track, and you’re delegating, outsourcing, and using leverage to make the best use of your most precious resource-YOU. Now you can truly realize your potential by performing tasks that have higher payoff values because you’ve set a CLEAR course for success.

Short Sleeves Insights - I’m More Than Words Can Say!

“I don’t take your words merely as words. Far from it. I listen to what makes you talk; Whatever that is; And me listen.” Shinkicki Takahashi was born in the fishing village of Shikoku, smallest of Japan’s four main islands, in 1901. He is considered one of Japan’s most prolific poets and was greatly honored throughout the country before he died in 1987. This is one of his works titled, “Words.” As you can see, his thought was Zen, and as you might suppose, there is no correct interpretation.

Words are the symbols we use to communicate with one another. They are the foundation for how we perceive each other. With one word I can do as much damage as any weapon can do. I create words with thought and from the words matter is formed.

I was taught to listen and be respectful to those who spoke to me. I could then form my own thoughts and words around that discussion. How did it make me feel to be judged or hated or discounted? What matter did I create from those feelings? How did I project myself back to my listener? What vibration was I attracting from what I was hearing? How long did I feel and become the message, that was given to me?

Takahashi brings up an interesting thought. “Listen to what makes you talk,” says to me that I must feel where the words are coming from. Are they said in anger, fear or pain? Those feelings only create lower vibrations and disconnection. By searching for the better thought I can change my words and my reactions to them. No one can make me feel anything that I refuse to feel. If I raise my vibrations with better thoughts, my words change, my world changes, and the people in it change as well. I become what I want to hear. I listen to what everyone says, and perceive what I am, by feelings of love. That’s what Takahashi listened for, if it was not present he was deaf. I can be deaf and live a life of joy, and hear everyone. It is the choice I make, to vibrate with the words that create the matter I live in. We all have the same choice.

Now, in conversations, I listen to where the words are coming from. If it is a place outside of love, I move my thoughts to love. I accept, forgive and release any negative words, and send them into the universe to be recycled in a black hole. The universe is the birthplace of matter, and the recycle center for pain. My connection with the web of the Divine Matrix, is there to assist me in vibrating in love.

Words are the symbols I use to identify myself and my world, and my alphabet has four letters in it: L-O-V-E. Love is much more than words can say.

Rhode Island Child Support Law FAQS - Daycare, Overtime, Modification, College, Termination

1) What if my child’s parent works overtime? Will overtime be included in child support?

There is no standard law or rule in Rhode Island regarding whether or not the non-possessory parent’s overtime will be used to calculate child support. One Judge in Rhode Island consistently rules that overtime compensation cannot be used to calculate child support. Article By Attorney David Slepkow 401-437-1100

Other Judges in Rhode Island have different opinions regarding overtime. The Family Court is a court of equity and fairness. Judges in Rhode Island will typically look at whether or not a person consistently works overtime over a substantial period of time. Judges may also look at whether or not overtime is consistently offered to a spouse. If overtime is infrequent or not typically offered Judges may be hesitant to calculate overtime as a factor of child support. In that case, many attorneys argue that a person’s income should be calculated using their W2 or gross income for the entire calendar year. By calculating gross income over an entire calendar year even infrequent overtime becomes an element of child support.

Judges may also look at other factors such as the needs and expenses of both parties and any extraordinary expenses for the child. At least one Judge has suggested that the possessory parent get a percentage of the overtime that is worked by the non-possessory parent. Other Judges in Rhode Island believe that overtime should always be a factor in child support. Often the issue of overtime is negotiated by the lawyers prior to any formal ruling by the Judge.

2) My child is about to turn 18 but is still in high school and living at home, can I still get child support?

Under Rhode Island Law, child support should end when a child turns 18 and graduates high school. If the child is still in high school, then child support will continue until the child turns 19.

Child support in Rhode Island automatically continues even after the child turns 18 unless a Motion to terminate child support is filed. If you are a non-possessory parent, your best option is to contact a lawyer to file a Motion to Terminate Child Support approximately 40 days prior to your child turning 18 and graduating high school. This will mean that the motion will be heard on a court date soon after the child turns 18. Please note that the non-possessory parent can still be found in contempt for failure to pay child support even after the child turns 18 if there is no motion granted to terminate the child support. If a child is seriously disabled, child support shall continue until the child turns 21 years old.

3) Can I get my child’s father to be ordered to pay for my child’s college education?

In Rhode Island the Court has no jurisdiction to order a parent to pay for the college education of his/her child. However, if pursuant to a Property Settlement Agreement or other contract, one party agrees to pay for a child’s education, then that agreement may be enforced by a court of law. Therefore, if you seek to have your child’s parent pay for your child’s college education, then you must negotiate payment of college expenses as part of a global settlement of the divorce or custody agreement or other similar agreement.

4) Who is going to pay for my child’s daycare?

The Rhode Island minimum child support guidelines take into account both the importance and expense of daycare. The child support guidelines and worksheet are used to determine the proper amount of child support to be paid by the non-possessory parent. The bottom line is that a party will be ordered to pay approximately the same percentage of the daycare that the party makes in relation to that party’s percentage of the combined gross income of both parties.

For example: If the husband makes $100,000.00 and the wife makes $50,000.00 the combined gross income for the parties is $150,000.00. Therefore, the husband makes 66 percent of the income and will be ordered to pay 66 percent of the daycare in addition to child support. (There may be an adjustment to take into account the federal tax credit.) This amount is added onto the minimum Child Support Guidelines amount.

5) How do I modify, increase or terminate child support in Rhode Island?

In Rhode Island child support can only be modified if there is a substantial change of circumstances. In order to get a substantial change of circumstances, the child support amount must be 10 percent more or less than the old child support order. The change in circumstances could result from loss of a job, increase of income of either party, new dependents, loss of overtime, unemployment, a disability, etc.

How To Naturally Lower High Blood Pressure And Cholesterol

High Blood Pressure and Cholesterol

Heart attack is the leading cause of death not only in the United States but in the entire world. It kills twice as many people in the world than the 2nd leading cause of death, which is cancer. Heart disease is also known as the silent killer because it happens suddenly with no fair warning. More than 50% of people who die of cardiac causes have no history of heart disease because sudden cardiac death is the most common cardiac sign. According to the National Institute of health high blood pressure should be a priority concern of over 65 million Americans. That is over 1 in 3 Americans. This statistic is also directly linked to the fact that 62% of Americans are overweight or obese. If you are overweight or obese you probably have high blood pressure or cholesterol and don’t even know it. High cholesterol oxidizes in your arteries and forms plaque which blocks blood flow which leads to a heart attack.

In addition to exercising on a regular basis and eating foods low in trans fats and cholesterol. There are many all natural ingredients you can take to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure. First you should know there is a three step process to lowering cholesterol and high blood pressure and there are all natural ingredients out there that are clinically proven to assist in all 3 of these steps reducing the use of statins and drugs. Below is the 3 step process and its assisting all natural ingredients.

1) Preventing Cholesterol Absorption - It is common sense to eat less high fatty foods and eating fresh fruits and vegitables to reduce cholesterol absorption. Of corse no matter what you do you will still eat food that has cholesterol therefore you should take Phytosterol to help your body to absorb much less cholesterol. Phytosterols are also called plant sterols, which are a group of steroid alcohol, photochemical naturally occurring in plants. They are white powders with mild, characteristic odor, insoluble in water and soluble in alcohols. They have many applications as food additives and in medicine and cosmetics. Phytosterol have a very similar molecular structure as cholesterol therefore it mimics cholesterol in the digestive tract and blocks cholesterol from being absorbed. In this way your body absorbs less cholesterol and less cholesterol enters the bloodstream and the unabsorbed cholesterol passes through your body as waste. By lowering cholesterol absorption you help prevent the risk of heart attack.

2) Preventing Plaque Build Up - The second step to lowering cholesterol is to prevent it from oxidizing in the arteries and forming plaque since Plaque is what makes high cholesterol deadly. There are several all antioxidants which are great for preventing LDL cholesterol from forming plaque. Grape Seed, Grape Skin, Bilberry Extract, Quercetin, and Gingko Baloba are all flavenoids found in certain grapes and berries which naturally prevent plaque formation, which lowers cholesterol levels. Gingko Baloba comes from a 4000 year old ancient plant which also helps to prevent blood platelet activity.
