Brian Culbertson’s release Come On Up is a nicely varied, mix of 12 tracks and is simply an outstanding smooth jazz CD.
It certainly doesn’t hurt that Culbertson is one of those musicians that is just flat out supremely talented. The kind of artist it’s really a treat to be able to listen to.
This is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It’s quite simply great listening. A must buy for the Smooth Jazz fan.
While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 3, Midnight featuring the great Marcus Miller, track 5 Days Gone By, and the title track 10, Come On Up.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 7, an interpretation of the Earth Wind and Fire classic Serpentine Fire. It’s a really great track!
