Just What Is A Pre-Paid Credit Card?

A great way for a person to re-establish good credit is by getting a pre-paid credit card. These are now becoming very popular in the world of plastic money. They are similar in many ways to a normal credit card except that you have to pay the spending limit upfront before you can begin using it. In fact you can compare it in many ways to a pre-paid phone card.

A pre-paid credit card can be used by anyone who has bad credit and it is virtually guaranteed that a person will be successfully approved when they apply for one of these cards. But in order for someone to open a pre-paid credit card they will need to deposit a certain amount with the bank where they are getting the card from. The bank will then issue with a line of credit in relation to the same amount of money that you have actually deposited with them. Not only does the bank know that it is sure to be repaid even if you do miss a monthly payment, but they can also report your good payment history to the credit report agencies as well. So not only does your credit improve because of your good payment history but you also have a card that can be used in much the same way as credit card that is unsecured would be used.

Certainly there are lots of benefits to be had from using a pre-paid credit card compared to the normal credit cards that are available. Probably one of the most important of these is that you can not go over your limit. So as soon as your account is empty then you can not use the card and if you need to make more purchases using it then you need to deposit more money into your account.

A pre-paid credit card may be the way for parents to go who are looking for a way to give their teenager’s spending power, but also curbing just how much they are able to spend. The parents are able to fill the card with an allowance or it may be that their teenagers put their summer paychecks on to whenever they can. By doing this you are able to provide your child with the freedom and security of credit card spending, but you are still in control of what they actually spend.

The pre-paid credit card is especially good for those people who have either a poor credit history or are impulsive shoppers. This card is certainly good for those people who would like to avoid going into debt or as a great way of rebuilding their low credit score.

The Wedding Flowers - Considerations

They’re beautiful and they smell wonderful. They have vibrant colors that lighten and brighten up any occasion. No wonder no wedding is complete without flowers. They may simply be in the bride’s bouquet, they may adorn the bride’s and her attendants’ hair, they may be simple dashes of color on the groom’s and the groomsmen’s lapels, or they can adorn every possible nook and cranny of the wedding venue. However they are used, flowers cannot fail but add a necessary element of beauty to a wedding celebration.

Using flowers for weddings presents quite a challenge, however. Fresh flowers, for instance, bloom only in certain seasons, they don’t last long and they can be truly expensive. In fact, the expense can quickly add up if you are not careful.

Flowers can adorn almost any part of the wedding process - the congregation, the church or civil office, the reception tables and as gifts and presents to special people on the day. They therefore need to be considered carefully, including the range and type of flowers as well as the cost.

It is useful to set a reasonable budget for wedding flowers as they will brighten up and enhance any wedding. They are as important as any other component of the wedding process and need careful thought. It is best to sit down with your intended partner and any other people that are helping to arrange the wedding, and develop a plan that will encompass the different choices, costs and “feel” of the wedding ceremony - not forgetting before and after.

What You Need To Know Before You Hire A Website Designer

If you’re looking for a website designer it can be confusing trying to choose the right one. Go through the Yellow Pages in any town or city and you’ll find a long list of web designers. Look on the Internet and you’ll discover even more.

Perhaps you have a friend who knows a bit about web design and has offered to build you a site for free. Should you take up the offer? Or perhaps you are thinking about building your own website. Should you take the plunge and buy some web design software? Or should you use one of those do-it-yourself website builders that many web hosts are now offering?

Well, it depends what you want your website to look like and, more importantly, what you want your site to achieve. If you are developing a website for your business, the ultimate aim should be to sell more of your products or services. If your website doesn’t help you sell more, why would you invest money in it? A website that doesn’t sell is a liability for your business. But a website that brings in new inquiries and sales, is a valuable asset. As some businesses are discovering, the Internet can be a powerfully effective form of marketing.

For example, one of my clients, who sells steel-frame kitset homes, is getting 99% of his business off the website I built for him. Every morning he opens up his emails and sees 20 or 30 new inquiries from the website. They come like clockwork, every day. He Doesn’t need to do any other form of advertising.

So how do you find a designer who can build you a site that sells?

There are two main types of website designer - those who are primarily skilled in graphic design, and others whose main strength is in programming. Those with a graphic design focus will build you a nice-looking site, while the programming whizzes will build a site that works efficiently but may not have the same visual flair.

However, a third factor is needed in a business website. If this third factor is missing, your website will be like a two-legged stool. It will fall over. It won’t work effectively to build your business. It will simply sit out there in cyberspace looking pretty but will get few visitors and make few sales.

This third factor involves marketing. When a visitor arrives at your website, you have just two or three seconds to get across your key marketing message. It needs to be spelled out clearly so it hits your visitor right between the eyes. Visitors don’t come to your website to be entertained by all the cool effects that your website designer has added.

They don’t care how well the back end of the site works. They just want to know what your product or service is all about, and what it can do for them.

So your website needs to have a clear sales message. It needs to present your visitor with an irresistible offer that they can’t refuse. It needs to inspire your visitor to take action. either to purchase your product off the site, or to contact you for more details. That’s why the ideal website designer needs to have a marketing brain. This kind of designer knows how to lay out the words and pictures on a page for maximum marketing impact. They understand how the human eye moves across a web page (scanning very quickly for anything that looks interesting). They know how to write a compelling headline that makes your visitor want to keep reading.

Successful web design is essentially about marketing

So you need to bear this in mind when choosing your website designer. When you get to the heart of it, web design is not primarily about art. Nor is it about technology. Web design is essentially about marketing. It is about providing information to your prospective customers, so they will buy from you.

Will your site get a good ranking in the search engines?

If your website gets lots of free traffic from search engines, it can provide a huge boost for your business. There are some simple secrets for getting a good ranking in the search engines, particularly Google, for the main search phrases that your prospective customers are likely to use.

A good web designer will think about the best search phrases, known as ‘keywords’, to build each page of the site around. For example, when I built the site for my client who sells kitset homes, the most obvious search phrase was ‘kitset homes’. I used these keywords in strategic places in the site, such as in the ‘title’ tag which is hidden in the code behind the site, which is what the search engines see. I also used the keywords in other places throughout the content of the site. As a result, this site ranks very highly on Google and other search engines for the search term ‘kitset homes new zealand’.

What about the cost?

If you.re a small business on a tight budget, the cost of your website is vital factor. You want every dollar you spend to be effective in the prime aim of your site, which, as we have just discussed, is to sell more of your products or services. You may be tempted by cheap offers from designers who say they can build a six-page website for $300 or less.

These kind of sites are based on ready-made templates that, quite frankly, look terrible in most cases. I have re-designed sites for clients who have opted for these cheap offers and later realised their mistake. Generally the old axiom is true - you get what you pay for.

You may get a cheap site by getting your friend to build it. But will this site really help establish the professionalism and credibility of your business? Or will it look cheap and amateurish, and do your business more harm than good.

While a professional web designer may charge more than your friend, bear in mind the incredible long-term marketing power of the Internet if you have the right kind of site.

You can keep a website online for less than $20 a monthly. Compare that with the hundreds of dollars a month you can spend on advertising in newspapers, magazines and other media.

In conclusion

As we have discussed, a successful website is one that ranks well in search engines and elicits the desired response from its visitors, and the secret to a successful website is persuasive, keyword-rich content. The layout, the colours, and the pictures are all very important, but the search engines and your visitors respond above all to the words. This means when you are looking for a web designer, your top priority should be to find a designer who has a marketing brain.

Chris Mole is an Internet marketer and web designer based in New Zealand. He owns Ace of Webs, a website design and Internet marketing company that specialises in building websites that SELL.

Too Long a Pursuit - Pursuit of Happiness Review

Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a struggling salesman who’s wife (Thandie Newton) becomes frustrated with their way of life, leaves him and his son to go get a better life

Chris and Christopher(Jaden Christopher Syre Smith) are on their own. Chris lucks out and gets an internship at a stock brokerage. He’s one of twenty people fighting for a spot at the brokerage and he is constantly the underdog. Whether it be having to be the one to stop his work and get a donut for an executive or walking into work with one shoe and being stared at the entire way into the office area. With the good (Winning the internship) comes the bad (He gets no pay, which in real life, he did, but in the movie, he didn’t) Chris spends the next six months of his internship living off the earnings of the remaining stock of his product he invested in. He and his son have no stable home. One night they are in a hotel and then the next they’ll be sleeping at a homeless shelter and some nights in the bathroom of a subway station.

Performance wise, Its Will Smith all the way, there are no other characters well defined. And Smith does not disappoint and shines in certain scenes. Smith’s transformation to “A” list actor is complete. The chemistry between him and his son Jaden Christopher Syre Smith is not much to talk about, most of the times the kid is shown as an extra luggage he has to tug along everywhere. Thandie Newton, spends most of her screen time with a frown plastered upon her face. One nice surprise is Homer Simpson acting; Dan Castellaneta has a role as Alan Frakesh, one of the big boys of the company Chris is trying to work for.

Although this movie had its moments, I felt that the story moved to slow to make it entertaining. With lines like “This part of my life is called running “(duh), after an hour of this movie I wasn’t even paying attention anymore, I was just waiting for him to get the damn job and get rich. In my opinion it was all filler and no killer, a movie only worth seeing if you want to be inspired or have to spend the day with your mother.

12 Cancer-causing ‘Elements’ in our Home? How to Fight Them

Fight smart! Look out for natural, safe, easy ways to reduce or solve the 12 cancer-causing ‘elements’ I posted a few days ago. Here are some suggested ways to counteract those 12 cancer-causing ‘elements’! They should be referred as corresponding to its numbering of the previous article.

[1] Bring into the new home plentiful of green non-toxic plants to be placed outside your home and some at your verandah, [only one or two inside your rooms]. Keep your rooms airy and open. Fresh air comes from the plants during the day.

When night falls, use quality air purifiers that really works inside your home. A good air purifier will remove odour, airborne harmful contaminants and pollutants from the air at the same time keep the room clean with fresh air.

Good air purifiers will effectively removes pollen, dust, tobacco smoke, airborne bacteria and viruses, mold, fungi, dust mites, radon decay products, asbestos and dioxins..

[2] Electrical appliances should be kept at a safe distance

When using a computer, place two pots of green plants at each side so as to reduce radiation. These living plants will be the ’scrapgoat’. It will minimize our problem, but it is still best to stay in a safe distance from all electrical appliances especially when it is on.

Beware of our main switch when the household electric comes into our house. Work or stay far from the main switch or just any electrical switches. Be smart to arrange your working table away from them. It pays in the long run.

Try not to work in the evening. Evenings are time for us to rest and rejuvenate and be revitalized. A normal healthy person should go to bed before eleven for best total body rest.

[3] Use water purifiers

When bathing, throw in some natural flowers or natural green leaves to minimize and neutralizing of the unseen contaminants in the water. It works. Or have a pre-treat filter installed outside our home to filter dirt, chlorine and bigger contaminants.

But for drinking and cooking, one should use a reputed, safe, branded filter that emphasizes on filtering the contaminants and leaving behind valuable minerals. We call that water treatment systems.

[4] Use biodegradable shampoos, detergents and safe toothpaste that are proven to be safe.

Use biodegradable and safe products that will not pollute our environment. Fresh, clean water and air now is getting scarcer now. The importance of using biodegradable products that have quality control should be emphasized. Safe products means safe to hands, safe in the sense that they are made from plant origins instead of petroleum distillates or other chemicals.

Though we need to pay more for those biodegradable products, it will be comparatively ‘cheaper’ in the sense of toxicity and poisoning or cancer-causing problems . If we don’t heed them, one day we will pay dearly for this ignorance.

[5] Use traps, boiling water to rid off those insects

Keeping our home clean and hygiene really means to clean it thoroughly. A clean house is detestable to flies and other insects. It is the filth and dirtiness that attract more unwanted pests into our home.

One can also use traps, boiling water to rid off those crawling insects. Mosquitoes nets can be a built-in for homes in humid and equatorial areas.

[6] Use good vacuum and quality air purifiers, it helps!

Poor ventilation in enclosed bedrooms should be regularly aired and to let sunlight into Use of good vacuum and quality air purifiers is a must to keep our rooms clean and green.

[7] Use stainless steels pots

Avoid using aluminium pots, non-stick pots that cannot withstand scratches and abrasive cleansing. Buy pots made of stainless steel. Or utensils made from iron can do too, but there is a need to keep it clean and non-rusty.

[8] Use safe food containers

Proper and safe food storage would stand in advantage where health and hygiene is concerned. Get acquainted with proper food storage.

[9] Don’t stock up canned foods, just don’t buy in excess, use low heat cooking

Most foods are perishable within days of harvest, cooking or storing. One must be advised as not to eat moldy nor burnt foods. Especially those foods that contain fats cannot be kept long.

[10] Wear silk or cotton light clothing

Fabrics made from plant fibers and origins are safer than synthetic fibers. Be careful with its dying processes too. Dark colored materials for internal wear should be out.

[11] Take food supplements instead of medicines

Go for preventive measures, nutritional cures, natural food cures, reflexology, massage or detox programmes which are much safer and effective. Understand the meaning of total health and happiness achievable through the 4 dimensions of health.

[12] Make sure you use ‘proven-to-be-safe’ products, for our skin, eyes and overall health.

There might be cancer-causing agents hidden in some skin care or cosmetics. Buy only from reputed sources.

Since all of us fear the overloading of contaminants in our body, special care should be taken to prevent instead of waiting for it to happen. Prevention is much better than cure. Don’t overload our body system with toxemia and acidosis that cause all kinds of cancer!

Cappuccino Machines - More Worldwide Varieties

As many types of wine and grapes as there are, there are just as many coffees and beans. The pleasure is in the trying.

The most renowned is the Colombian. Tolima grows the La Esperanza beans at almost 600ft above sea level. The aroma is a delicate cherry, combined with pipe tobacco and chocolate. If only it tasted that way, but of course, skip the tobacco part. The worlds second is the famous Supremo. Warming vanilla combines with hints of bittersweet chocolate, but this dies quickly and needs to be drunk hot. The handpicked Hawaiian Kona beans offer medium and dark blends. They are brilliant as an espresso roast.

On the other side of the world, on the southern side of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Tanzanian Peaberry beans offer a light bodied drink with a slightly high acidity. These beans are distinctive in shape, being slightly oval. Many a climber has been welcomed with a fresh cup as they ascend the mountain. Then, Ethiopia, the legendary birthplace of coffee, boasts a citrus flavored cup made from beans from the Yirgacheffe area. The flavor is like a combination of orange peel, lemon, ginger and chocolate. Yummy, and it is in my opinion reminiscent of famous German Christmas herbal teas.

Across to the sub-continental India, the Monsson Malabar, yellowish puffed beans brew into an apricot infused blend. The Jumboors is also another good one with its subtly sweet, raisin like flavor.

Head into Asia and find the Lake Toba area of the island of Sumatra. These beans are light, sweet and almost infused with jasmine/cherry flavor. It is quite acidic. Other provinces offer darker, spicy and fruity blends that smell of cedar and grapefruit. Nearby Vietnam grows the Lampung Robusta beans. They used the wash, dry and polish process to give an almost woody, slightly acidic brew that is more subtle than the arabica.

Far away from Asia, entering the Caribbean, the Jamaican Peaberry beans are more full-bodied, sweetishly acidic, and have slightly floral tones. They make for a pleasant, but strong drink.

Whether you are buying a cappuccino machine and want to know what types of beans and coffees you can brew in your kitchen, or you simply want a cappuccino or other coffee from your nearby coffeehouse, knowing what is available is a real treat. Even the caffeine cannot dampen a great cup of home brewed coffee, no matter where the beans originated.

The scriptwriter Clinton Maxwell is very interested in themes similar to roasting and cappuccino. Sharing his passion in detailed publications such as http://www.coffee-espresso-maker-tips.com , the reviewer affirmed his skill on themes corresponding to cappuccino machines.

Cappuccino Machines - The Makers of Coffee

How coffee beans are judged is the profession of a barista, a coffee maker. Coffees taste is judge by a cupper, a professional taster. All this expertise is combined to help buyers get the best beans to make the best cup of coffee. However, the barista is the person you see at your coffeehouses. They note every comment, good and bad, to judge the failure or success produced by cappuccino machines and other coffee brewing methods.

About 70 countries grow coffee beans in a band from the Equator to about 25° north or 25° south. Plantations are found in Africa, the Middle East, South America, the Caribbean and even Hawaii. It is the barista’s job to decide which region supplies the best beans as influenced by their customers.

Due to varied climates, altitudes, machinery and techniques, each country’s beans have different qualities. Each plantation will also have individual variants of the two main types of beans, robusta and arabica. Robusta is the bean of choice due to lower caffeine levels. It is used for the best coffees, supplying better flavor and aroma.

Arabica beans are best grown at above 3000ft. Brazilian arabica beans are less preferred, being grown at lower levels. Ultimately, the final decision is down to if you are roasting your own beans or getting pre-roasted beans. Green beans normally smell like vegetables and are soft. Choose them if you are doing your own roasting. If you want roasted beans, the varieties are seemingly endless.

Roasted beans come in many flavors. Cinnamon or light beans refer to the color only. They are very acidic and very high in caffeine. American roast or medium is fractionally darker and used by Folger and Yuban, but not the best quality. City roast or dark is a specialty item with less caffeine and the taste is acidic, but the final cup is not so bitter. It is an average type espresso. French roast is very dark and oily in appearance, but not burnt. They give a full-bodied flavor. Italian roast is used for the best espresso drinks. It is the darkest colour, a strong aroma, the least amount of acid, has the lowest caffeine and is much sweeter. This sweetness results from the carmelization of the beans’ sugars during roasting. The lower caffeine levels result from being burned away during roasting. The result is a mellow cup of coffee.

Therefore, when you go coffee bean shopping you can play the amateur barista. You have the basic knowledge, but without the long line-ups of customers and a store full of machines.

Johnathan Bakers often writes reports on issues corresponding to coffee and coffee making. His observations on cappuccino machines can be found on http://www.coffee-espresso-maker-tips.com .

Disability Insurance Policy - How To Get The Best Deal

To quote William Shakespeare, “As flies to wanton boys are we to the Gods”. So, just like little boys get some cruel pleasure by torturing the poor, helpless tiny creatures; the Gods also seem to entertain themselves by setting free untold miseries on human beings when they are not pleased with them.

You are left to suffer the heavenly curses while asking yourself what wrong you did to deserve such a horrible punishment. Instead of investigating the reasons, you face the challenge like a brave person, as He wished you to be. Now, you are left with only one choice, give a stiff resistance to it and be well prepared to deal with such an outcome.

Fortunately, Disability Insurance comes to your rescue on such occasions and lends you a helping hand. Several insurance companies are in the fray with stretched hands to help you. Still, it is up to you to study the pros and cons of each insurance policy one after another before arriving at a conclusion. Take your own time and be wise in your endeavor. Listed below are five important things, which you must understand well before you sign up with an insurance policy.

1. There should be enough flexibility in the terms and conditions of the policy. This gives a guarantee that when something unexpected happens seriously, the policy could act as a savior immediately.

2. The policy should give you enough financial coverage to meet all your expenses yourself without losing out on your freedom and honor.

3. The insurance policy you are inclined towards must pay you enough to keep your lifestyle the same as you had been leading before the disaster struck you. To make it clearer, the policy you choose must be able to convince you that there is no financial difference even if you are unemployed.

4. Say goodbye to a policy that has a clause only for security but not any to fulfill your dreams. You may be having your own plans and ambitions about your future. Your search will be completed only with the discovery of an insurance policy that will safely land you in a better career after you regain your fitness.

5. Lastly, make a careful comparison of the amounts to be paid as premiums and confirm whether there is any advantage in paying a higher premium. Never assume that higher premiums will fetch you more coverage.

The amount of disability premium is determined by several factors such as a person’s age, sex and job. Disability Insurance is something that no one likes to think about, but it might produce a big difference in an unexpected eventuality.

5 Great Reasons To Visit Bangkok in 2007

Perhaps your plans to visit Bangkok have been shelved owing to reports of a military coup, bombings, and unrest in the south. Or maybe you think long-haul flights are not worth the hassle these days.

Think again. Bangkok is one of the world’s safest cities. It’s also one of the most pulsating and exotic. And there are treatments for your jet lag. This year is an especially good time to drop in. Here are just five great reasons to visit the Thai capital in 2007.

1. It’s The Critics’ Choice

Bangkok was voted best city in Asia by Travel & Leisure magazine ousting green Singapore and frantic Hong Kong. Bangkok was also selected by DestinAsia as Best Leisure City by virtue of it being cheap, safe and vibrant along with its good food.

2. Jet Cheaply Around the Region

Local and regional airfares are a bargain. The recent launch of many low-cost carriers has resulted in jaw-dropping fares for short hops to other Asian cities as well as the islands and beaches of Thailand. Check out the web sites of Air Asia and Nok Air among others for budget trips in the region.

3. Hook Into The Matrix

While still rooted in the past, this city of venerable temples and palaces is racing into the future. Bangkok is getting wired. Wifi is cheap and easily found. The whole of Siam Square is an outdoor Wifi zone and you can find a Starbucks on every corner. Geeks can spend their whole vacations in the IT paradise of Panthip Plaza with its staggering range of hardware and software.

4. Shop Till You Flop

Long a poor cousin of Hong Kong and Singapore, Bangkok can now rival those city-emporia for the range and quality of shopping. Prices are generally lower too. Other than old-style markets, there’s a glut of trendy malls. The jewel in the crown is the new Paragon shopping center. It sprawls over 7 floors, each the size of a football field and offering every brand name imaginable.

5. Pamper Yourself At A Spa

Bangkok is the spa capital of Asia. With a long history of traditional massage and herbal therapies together with a gracious concept service rooted in ancient Siamese culture, Thailand can offer an unparalleled standard of spa and beauty services. In fact, Travel & Leisure magazine chose three Thai spas in its top five best resort spas. Whether it’s a five-day total pampering or a one-hour jet-lag relief head massage, you can find what you want here.

If all this hasn’t tempted you, remember the great hotels and the spicy, piquant food. And don’t forget that Bangkok is one of the best places in the world for a sex change. Doctors are very experienced and prices are much lower than in the west.

If you’ve ever wondered how Bangkok developed into such a place of exotic contradictions, find out at http://insiders-bangkok.ampawan.com/
