Men Love Jewelry Too

Jewelry is a symbol of a person’s status. People, especially the ladies, show off their jewelry to reveal their social standing and their wealth. Jewelry is also used to show other people how fashionable the wearer is. Admittedly, people dress up more if they have jewelry on.

This love for jewelry is not just exclusive to women, however. Although women commonly wear jewelry to a greater extent than the male population, we now see some men displaying their jewelry for more or less the same reason as the females.

Rings for Men

When one steps into a jewelry shop, it is easy to recognize the jewelry made specifically for men. Jewelry made for men are usually chunkier and heavier than jewelry made for women. Take a ring, for instance. The rings made for men are usually bigger and heavier and they usually have squared centers. On the other side of the display, the women’s rings are more rounded in shape; they are also smaller and lighter.

The disparity between the jewelry meant for men and jewelry meant for women certainly makes sense. It is hard to imagine a man wearing a thin band of gold with a raised, fiery diamond at the center that is suited to long, slim, feminine fingers. Most guys would go for rings that have simpler designs. Thus, it is more reasonable to expect a man to wear a plain platinum or gold band or perhaps a band that has recessed diamond studs. Men may wear a ring with a central stone (like a ruby) at the center, but this ring is likely to be wide-banded and the stone is likely to be recessed at the wide, squared center.

Necklaces and Bracelets for Men

The same also applies to bracelets and necklaces. The necklaces for men are usually longer to match the girth of a man’s neck and chunkier to accentuate his masculinity. They also are not likely to contain diamonds or fancy stones anywhere. A pendant is not likely to grace men’s necklaces either.

Moreover, women’s bracelets may have charms adorning their whole length while men’s bracelets are likely to be plain platinum or gold links with no embellishment whatsoever.

Earrings for Men

Earrings, too, are no longer considered solely feminine. Some men find earrings appropriate. Unlike the females, though, men do not wear earrings to enhance their attributes or to accentuate their face. Males usually wear earrings as a symbol of defiance against a society that deems earrings inappropriate for male use. Earrings make a man look rakish and encourage the image of a rebel and a rouge.

Usually, though, men who wear earrings do not wear a pair. If each ear is adorned, the adornment would not usually be symmetrical. Thus, you will normally see a man wear a dangling or a stud earring on one of his ears, or studs of differing numbers on each ear.

Watch for Men

A watch is probably the only jewelry most, if not all men, will willingly wear. Most men, however, wear a watch because it’s functional. However, men do consider the appropriateness of a watch to his attire and his activities. Businessmen prefer using a time piece or a watch fob, or a plain yet elegant gold or platinum watch. Sportsmen, on the other hand, will prefer waterproof, scratchproof and extremely durable watches to slim watch bands.

The Rich Pom Business Scam

The Rich Pom has been promising us the world for weeks now. Advertising on high profile high
rating TV and Radio programs.

Like you I shun these foolish notions of making money on the internet but
when you get a pommy git plugging away in your ear on prime time radio you start
to take note.

I visited the Rich Pom website with great trepidation thinking before getting there this
guy was just like all the rest. Wow was I right! His website was promising me
the world! So why did I fall for it? I’ll tell you why - I know for a fact as a
business owner myself that this guy had to be making the money he says - how
could he afford such expensive advertising for starters?

I parted with my hard earned dosh to find out how the Rich Pom is making his money and to see if I could get a slice of the action.

I have been doing this for exactly 6 weeks now - made my money back I paid
for the information and now make money every single day. No I am not able to use
this as my prime income source - I never would expect that and nor should you.
But, I followed the rich pom information to the letter - one step at a time -
this bloke knows what he is doing and there is no reason why I should not
continue to make more and more money every week. So what I am saying is don’t discount everything as a scam it may just be legit.

Pre-Wedding Jitters

Marriage is a very big step in one’s life. The decision to get married is a decision that’s likely to change your life forever. You’ll stop being single and, in the words of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, you’ll become one of the “smugly-married.” You’ll stop thinking for one and start thinking for two. After the priest proclaims you man and wife, your life will never be the same again. Thus, it’s only normal that you get those pre-wedding jitters.

Pre-Wedding Jitters

Pre-wedding jitters, cold feet, last minute anxiety – you know all about them. You’ve been with the guy for several wonderful and blissful years. And though you’ve turned the idea over and over again in your head – like a burger patty that you want properly cooked – when it comes down to it, you can’t seem to take that first step down the aisle.

You’ve always been sure that she’s the one girl for you yet you can’t get your lips to move and say “I do” because you know that she’s the one girl for you… and that’s the problem… one… the word keeps repeating in your head, over and over again. One and only one – never again shall you have another girl. Never again because she’s the one and if you have another one, then you’ll have broken your vows and God’s thunder will strike you down.

They’re Natural

But you know that these jitters are inconsequential. You’ve thought it over and you’re sure. You’re just nervous and your anxiety is getting the better of you. Don’t worry – that’s perfectly normal. Pre-wedding jitters isn’t some sort of sign that the two of you aren’t meant to be. It’s caused by all the stress you’ve been through in the months that you’ve planned your wedding. Couple that with the uncertainty of the future and you’ve got yourself pre-wedding bedlam. It’s not hopeless, however. You can do something to stop this malady.

The Cure for Cold Feet

If you’re having the jitters while you’re looking at yourself in the mirror, don’t be afraid to talk with someone. It may be your mom or your best friend, it doesn’t matter. Don’t be afraid to divulge that you’re nervous and having second thoughts. Letting all your feelings out will clear your head. Sometimes, you just need someone to remind you, somebody who will tell you, “Hey, this is the best day of your life, turn that frown upside down.”

If you’re having the jitters while you’re walking down the aisle, count from one to ten and breathe deeply. This will help you regain your calm. If that still doesn’t work, try to recall the reasons why you agreed to marry him or why you chose her. Remember all of your good times, even your bad times, remember all you’ve been through, and remind yourself why he or she’s the one for you. Remind yourself how wonderful he or she is and how much you love him/her and how much he or she loves you back.

The one you’re marrying is the love of your life; don’t let a few jitters ruin your special day or the rest of your life.

VoIP From Historical Perspective

VoIP is a technology that spells out as Voice over Internet Protocol and as the name would tend to suggest it also originated around the same time that the internet itself did which is around 1995.

Initially the voice quality of VoIP was not overwhelmingly impressive as the data packets were small and transfer rates very slow. Do you remember the days when 14K modem was considered fast? Talking about modems…in the early days of VoIP – in order to even make a single PC to PC call both parties had to have the same sound card installed on each computer. If not then only one person could talk at one time, like say in a walkie-talkie or CB radio.

Also at first VoIp0 was able to initiate phone calls only between two PCs. Then around 1998 call switching with PSTN (Public Service Telephone Network) phones come into being along with enabling it devices from companies like Cisco and then begun its quick progress towards current wide spread and soon to be telephone industry domination.

As the time went many competing VoIP standards become merging as well which further facilitated a wide spread of the technology. Then as the bandwidth of internet become wider and more widely available, mainly with the advent of technologies such as DSL and cable broadband – then video telephony also become possible and ever more popular. All you need for a video VoIP call is any video supporting VoIP hookup and a webcam. Some VoIP providers also sell these days dedicated video VoIP phone sets.

As time went another thing become possible with VoIP – cheap, instantaneous multiparty conference and video conference calls. The days of paying astronomical amounts of money for global video conferencing become a thing of the past, again thanks to VoIP.

4 Real Acne Questions and Answers - Issue 1

As an author of an acne newsletter, I recieve all kinds of questions about acne and skin conditions. I’d love to answer each and every one of them, but unfortunately some are too general and would require pages and pages of information to answer correctly.

However, I am going to answer some of the more specific questions - that come from real acne sufferers.

Let’s get started..

–> Question 1

Does food cause acne?

–> Answer 1

Yes. I am a strong believer that diet has a lot do with almost any disease. Todays foods are over-processed, chemically preserved, and seldomly provide the essential nutrients necessary for a healthy body and skin.

However, with that said, diet is not the only cause of acne. There are other factors such as hormone imbalances (which can be managed through diet to a degree), hereditary inheritances (oily skin for example), stress, allergies (eg. dairy products), improper hygiene, bad habits (eg. picking skin), weak liver/colon, as well as toxic blood and lymph nodes.

–> Question 2

What foods are best for me to eat to prevent breakouts?

–> Answer 2

Eating a lot of cleansing/healing/building foods will go a long way to prevent breakouts. Along with eating the right foods, you must also avoid the wrong foods.

Here’s a quick list of what to eat and what not to eat (not all-inclusive).

Foods to Eat:

-Fresh fruits and vegetables (peel and wash all fruits; wash veggies)

-Nuts and seeds (unsalted and not roasted are best).

-Organic chicken and fish (look out for fish with heavy metals)

-Dairy alternatives (almond milk, rice milk, soy milk, goats milk, help milk etc.)

-Organic foods (many food lines now offer completely organic meals)

-High fiber grains and oats (natural)

Foods to Avoid:

-Processed foods

-Foods with large amounts of preservatives

-Any foods with MSG, hydrogenated oils, or aspartame (most packaged food contains hydrogenated oils)
-Refined sugars (refined sugars cause a surge in androgens (hormones) that lead to excess oil production)

-Hard to digest foods (red meats, heavy starch foods such as potatoes etc.)

-Avoid ingesting large amounts of gluten (found in most rice, wheat products)

–> Question 3

How do I stop pimples that start out as red sore patches and swell to cysts?

–> Answer 3

This is probably a common occurance and reality for many of you reading this. You wake up to find a new red spot that is a little tender to the touch. At first you may think nothing of it, and sometimes it may even go away if left alone. On the other hand, you may wake up the next morning and find your “red spot” has turned into a full blown cyst or nodule.

While there is no sure-fire way to prevent this red spot from swelling to a cyst or nodule, there are a few ways to decrease the chances of that happening. Normally I would say to prevent acne you must do so using a natural approach that attacks acne from the inside out. In this case however, the underlying factors for acne are already present, so only topical treatments will work to prevent the potential cyst or nodule from forming.

Tip 1: Use a hot compress, or steam yourself with a combination of tea tree oil and water, twice a day. This will help open your pores allowing the tea tree oil to penetrate further into the layers of your skin and help fight off the infection.

Tip 2: Apply a solution of baking soda and water to the affected area, twice daily. Leave the mixture to dry for 10-20 minutes before rinsing off.

Tip 3: Avoid touching the affected area at all costs. If you must touch the area, wash your hands thoroughly before doing so. Also do not let food or crumbs linger near the affected area.

Tip 4: If you have access to a sauna, use the sauna twice daily for as long as you can comfortably handle.

Tip 5: Many times exercise can help to prevent this type of red spot from turning into a full blown cyst or nodule. Exercise will help reduce stress, balance hormones, release special chemicals, and also aid in blood and oxygen flow as well as help to eliminate toxins.

–> Question 4:

Many people have written me asking about acne scarring and how they can heal existing acne scars.

So the question is, “How can I help to heal existing acne scars, as well as prevent future scarring?”.

–> Answer 4:

Your skin is constantly shedding skin cells, and replacing them with new skin cells. For some of us this cycle has been slowed down to a crawl due to vitamin and mineral defficiencies.

For many people who exhibit slow scar healing, this life cycle is much longer than it should be for healthy skin cells. This can usually be improved through proper supplementation of necessary vitamins and nutrients. This process can also usually be sped up through the use of glycolic acid peels, exfoliation, and microdermabrasion. These treatments should only be used if you no longer have acne itself, just scars.

Though I am an advocate of natural solutions, in extreme cases where the scar has penetrated both the dermis and epidermis, only surgery may completely irradicate scars. In this case, there are a few options, such as laser surgery, skin grafts, collagen injections or manual microdermabrasion.

The Secrets Of How To Cure Stuttering

I am sure there are many people who are having to endure life with a speech impediment. My name is Steve Hill and I had a problem with my own speech which started when I was just four years of age. The problem that I had is known as stammering or stuttering and caused me many frustrations, it even made me consider, for a short period of time, taking my own life. Now some people may laugh at this and say that I am lying but ask any person who has a stutter and they will explain to you just how hard life can be. What I needed to find was a cure for stuttering as I was determined that one day I would be able to talk free from the fear of stuttering.

I attended speech therapy throughout the eighteen years that I had the stutter. I have to say that I was rather disappointed with the treatment and advice that I was given, perhaps I was also partly to blame as I could have possibly tried harder to make it work. What annoyed me greatly however was that these so called specialists kept informing me that there was not a cure for stuttering and that basically I would have this horrible stutter for the rest of my life. As you might be able to imagine, this would leave me feeling very positive about the future, not!

As I became a young adult I started to look to alternative avenues in my search for a stuttering cure. This led to further disappointments as I now heard that the so called national association in England also believed that there was not a cure.

After getting over the initial shock and frustration I decided that I would attempt to find the cure to stammering/stuttering myself. I am by nature a very determined person, I also believe that I have brains, some may disagree stating that I left the education system aged sixteen. I only left school at this age because the stutter was making my school life extremely difficult.

After a year of attempting to achieve fluency, I finally managed to achieve my goal. That was eleven years ago, I can not describe how good it feels to be free from those horrible stuttering demons.

I concentrated on two main aspects, firstly how I spoke in a physical manner and also how I was thinking compared to the way fluent people do. For the physical I had to work out how fluent people were breathing compared to me and to then basically copy them, as for thinking, I was a person who used to in a way think too much. This would be OK in some people’s world but I was a person who thought in a negative manner. I had to learn to think in a much more positive way.

There was obviously a lot that I had to concentrate on, the above is just a very small sample as an example. It was quite slow progress, but progress I did, eventually to full fluency.

Andropause - Fact Or Fiction?

Lucky women. They’ve always known that sometime in their mid-40s they will begin to experience changes in hormone levels that will lead to uncomfortable symptoms and culminate in the change of life: menopause. It may seem odd to consider the certainty of menopause a lucky thing, but being able to openly talk about a medically documented event is liberating. Women can commiserate with each other and consult with their doctors for help dealing with uncomfortable symptoms. Men, however, have not had the luxury of receiving help for their mid-life discomforts. In fact, andropause, or male menopause, is not even widely accepted as a legitimate medical phenomenon.

There are several reasons the idea of Male Menopause has been received with skepticism. First, it’s a much more gradual event than a woman’s menopause. While a woman will experience a measurable and obvious drop in her estrogen levels beginning in her forties, a man’s testosterone levels begin to drop very gradually as early as thirty years old. Since the shift in hormones occurs so differently in men, the accompanying symptoms are also more gradual. For example, a woman may suddenly find herself irritable or depressed, and recognize that a change has taken place. But a man’s onset of symptoms takes much longer, so he may not recognize that he is changing.

Second, Andropause is not as final as women’s Menopause. When a woman’s estrogen levels decline sufficiently, her menstrual cycle will cease. She will be unable to bear children. Her ovaries will not produce eggs, and her uterus will not be able to sustain a pregnancy. She truly experiences a change of life: she has changed from a fertile human to one unable to procreate. This doesn’t happen with a man. Men continue to produce enough testosterone into their 80s to be able to father children. Even if a man cannot have intercourse and ejaculate to impregnate his partner, semen with sperm in it can still be collected and used to fertilize an egg. Perhaps the biggest reason that scientists have discussed andropause with skepticism is that men do not experience the change of life to the extent that women do.

Three, men are expected to be stoic about symptoms. Women have support groups, literature, and medical experts lining up to assist with the change of life. Decades-long, nationwide studies are done about the benefits and risks of hormone replacement therapy to treat menopause. Women talk about, joke about, and complain about their symptoms and discomforts. Men, meanwhile, endure their discomforts in silence. It’s not manly to whine about problems such as weight gain, thinning hair, difficulty achieving or maintaining erections, sleeplessness, or depression. And what man would ever want to discuss his loss of libido? Women talk, men cope silently. The sad thing is, coping is often easier when professional intervention can be openly sought.

Acknowledging the truth of male menopause is definitely the first step in helping men cope with the changes taking place in their bodies.

How To Select The Right Jewelry Gift

The Stone that Goes with her Birth Month

It would help if you asked your wife, your mother or your girlfriend what kind of jewelry she likes. However, asking your intended recipient about her preferences takes away the surprise of giving a magnificent gift and really defeats the purpose.

As an option, you can find out about her birth month; she’s most likely to appreciate jewelry with her birthstone in it. Find out, too, what the birthstone symbolizes and dazzle her with your newly acquired knowledge.

All that Glitters

If you want to keep it conservative and keep the jewelry as simple as possible, a nice simple gold jewelry would be perfect. All you need to be aware of is the person’s preferences pertaining to the color of the gold jewelry; there are white, yellow, rose and other variants, too. Gold jewelry not only makes it easier for you to find the perfect design; the lady you give it to will also probably find gold jewelry a good match to her wardrobe.

Classic and Elegant Pearls

For special moments in one’s life, what symbolizes sophistication better than a pearl necklace or a pair of pearl earrings? Although expensive, pearls are not quite as expensive or as ostentatious as a diamond. They can be worn casually and the wearer would still look fabulous. If you can’t afford a pearl necklace, then an abundant number of pearl pendants are available. You only need to determine the right size and the best design to make the gift a truly classic one.

A Woman’s Best Friend

In any case, if you have a bigger budget and if you feel that the occasion merits it, then you can never go wrong with a diamond. Diamonds are certainly expensive, but that’s what makes them sure winners. Diamonds are favorites in engagement and wedding bands, and diamond stud earrings will certainly make your mother’s eyes shine. Diamonds also never run out of fashion. Elegant diamond jewelry will still be elegant 50 years from now, so you can consider buying diamonds as a practical investment.

Whatever kind of jewelry you may decide to buy and give to your special someone, you should always remember that it’s still not the monetary worth of your gift that is so important; what matters more are the effort and the thought that came with procuring the jewelry.

Everybody Loves Jewelry As A Gift

Whether you are a husband buying your wife jewelry for an upcoming anniversary, a son buying for your mother on her birthday or a boyfriend planning to propose marriage to your girlfriend, you have to know what kind of jewelry you should buy. But, whatever happens, you will know that everybody loves jewelry!

Jewelry is a present that will never be rejected – provided you buy the right piece. Jewelry makes us feel special and loved. A good piece of jewelry bought by a special person will have everlasting memories and will be cared for and nurtured through life.

But you must make sure you choose the right gift. Choosing the right piece of jewelry is necessary because even if everyone loves jewelry, every person has different tastes and preferences. Think about what you would like as a jewelry gift – you will have your likes and dislikes no doubt. Well, that will be the same for your intended recipient.

If you fail to buy the piece that your intended recipient is sure to love, then you’ve just wasted a lot of money – jewelry pieces made of precious metals and stones can be expensive, you know. Besides, you want to make a good and lasting impression. Yes?

Buying jewelry for someone special should not be rushed. Remember, jewelry oftentimes become treasured family heirlooms. The person you are giving it to may pass it on to an offspring or a grandkid. A little bit of planning on what kind of jewelry you ought to buy for your special someone is therefore merited.
