14 Ways to Skyrocket Your Profits

You can quickly increase your work at home profits if you apply a few simple tricks.
Below are fourteen ways to skyrocket your profits.

1. No one is using just one technique to make money anymore. Not even celebrities, they sing, act and do promos this same strategy should be applied to your website. Create multiple streams of income with your web site. You could sell your own products, join affiliate programs, and sell advertising space. There are various ways to do this, get creative

2. Don’t get greedy. Sell a few products on your web site instead of selling a large amount of products. Having too many choices can overwhelm your visitors which will prevent them from buying.

3. Who doesn’t love freebies? Include content and free stuff on your web site that promote the products you’re selling. If they don’t read your ads, they may read your offerings.

4. Adopt a viral marketing strategy. You can do this by publishing a free ebook and giving it away for free from your web site or in your e-zine. This will increase your traffic, sales and e-zine subscribers.

5. Have your Opt in form on various locations on your website. Some places may compel a sign up for different people. The bigger your list the greater your target market will be.

6. Never under estimate the power of praise. Give your visitors compliments in your ad copy. This can earn their trust and put them in a good mood, in return they will be easier to sell too.

7. Sell your backend products to your customer’s right after they order. Take them to a “Thank You” web page that includes other products you offer.

8. Sell short reports on precise topics.

9. Offer your customers a full refund when they refer 4 friends. You get three sales for the price of one.

10. Provide a “Contact Page” on your web site. Give your visitors as many options to contact you as possible. Provide an e-mail address, business address, and phone number (preferably toll free). This will add credibility to your business.

11. Remind your visitors that you’re human, not just a web site. You could publish information on your family, post pictures, as well as a profile.

12. Use a “P.S.” at the end of your ad copy. This is where you either want to repeat a strong benefit or use a strong close like a free bonus. You can even go as far as using “P.P.S.”

13. Create new products or services only if there is a strong need for them. You will not have anyone to sell them to if you do not have a market.

14. Use any “dead real-estate” to advertise- that is if your website has a space that is blank or is just sitting there, use it to promote a product. For instance, the confirmation page that your subscribers receive after they sign up is great place to put an advertisement.

Working from home can be a great way to generate profits. Apply a few of these techniques today
and watch your online earnings soar.

If You Want To Fly Like An Eagle, Then Stop Hanging Out With Turkeys

Success-bound people tend to hang out with fellow travelers and those who have already achieved a modicum of success or much more. To do anything less is to lock into marginal results and mountains of unhappiness and regret as we age.

No matter where you may live and no matter what the conditions may be in your life, it is a sad reality that many… no, most! - people choose to hold onto the “safe” life, no matter how unfulfilled that life may be. They listen and respect the swarm of nay Sayers buzzing about who have achieved little and aspired little. When looking for ideas and encouragement, they find slim pickings of either in this safe-thinking group.

We have all tried things which were uncomfortable to do at first. When the first baby steps are taken, we feel a tinge of embarrassment or even a degree of humiliation with the initial feeble result.

So what do most people do at that juncture? They retreat ever deeper into the Well of Doubt. Some even hide their head in the sand…forever. They tell their friends that they tried this or that and it was too difficult or too dangerous or too financially risky. Their turkey friends offer them a crying towel and a bundle of consoling hugs.

Welcome to the Den of Spiritual Inertia.

These so-called friends pop open the brew, fill the bowl with pretzels and flip on the remote control to the newest hit program from the television wasteland. All is well, as long as one doesn’t bother to think and open his eyes to the screaming, omnipresent sea of opportunity.

We deserve a different fate than a small ant which is stomped upon by a conquering army.

We don’t have to be in the way of the marching boot. Our lives are not predetermined. Our actions need not be robotic or routine. Our minds need not always hold to the linear patterns pounded into our psyche since infancy.

Our very existence is proof of our uniqueness. That uniqueness cannot be stripped from us without our consent. Our brain is not our master, but our slave. God only knows how many times my hair-trigger temper has led me down the path of regret because I didn’t claim my brain.

Each event is a creation. It is not a certainty. We can paint it white, black or mauve. We can salt it or pepper it. We can trash it or frame it. The menu for each event in our life and our reaction to each is joyfully infinite.

What we focus on is what we see, and what we see is what can make us special.

Every time we say “They say…”, we sell ourselves short. Who is they? Is they you?

If you are following the invisible they, then the you in you will remain invisible.

Get hold of yourself.

Reclaim your mind.

Take bold action.
Hang out with the eagles, not with the turkeys.

Soar rather than gobble gobble around the farmyard keeping your head low.

Find your niche in the scheme of things - your special place in the world - and follow through.

Stake your rightful and divine claim to excellence starting today.

If life is who you hang around with, then I have been fortunate to have compiled a great bundle of friends in recent years. They have empowered me, given me the strength to take off nearly 40 kilograms and keep it off since my 50th birthday, and I want to share their world with you through my writing, through my actions, and though my discretionary selection of programs I market. Please visit the Success In Japan site and begin or improve the empowerment process in your life. You deserve the best and you CAN get it!

We Are All Going No - Where

For days, we have not seen another ship and on Saturday, we passed a fishing vessel, in the early afternoon. All of sudden she popped up at the horizon. We locked her on the radar and observed she was not moving at all. It was a fishing vessel, which looked like hovering on one spot. We were speeding on our massive green kite, autopilot set to follow the wind, about 155 degrees off wind, a course that brought us heading straight for the fishing vessel. - is it not odd, that for days on end you don’t see any other ship, and when one is spotted, it always seems to be on a collision course? -

Anyway, there she was, just hovering on one position, not moving at all. She did not drag any fishing gear, just ‘lay there’. We called them on the radio, in English, No response. In French. No response. In Portuguese. No response. In Spanish. No response.. It was not until we raced past her, a hundred meters off her bow, that all of a sudden we heard a voice on the radio. It seemed the crew only saw us the moment we passed her.. The guy on the radio sounded surprised… Probably he was on watch on the bridge, and had dozed off, until he saw us speeding by. I mean, put yourself in his place, here you are, in the middle of the Atlantic, minding your own business, not seeing anyone or anything for days on end and all of a sudden, this sailboat with this massive green sail comes racing past you..

Anyway, they were very friendly. They were Portuguese fishermen (what is a Portuguese fishing vessel doing so far south in the middle of nowhere, we wonder?). They asked who we were, where we were going to.. We answered we were on our way ‘to Saint Lucia’.. And he said ‘but you are going the wrong way, Santa Lucia is behind you..’. It took us some time to explain we were not going to ‘La Ilha de Santa Luzia’, one of the islands in the Cape Verdes - indeed now one day off our stern - but to St.Lucia in the Caribbean..
So we parted, with the fishing vessel left in our wake. We were wondering what the hell a Portuguese fishing vessel was doing so far south, just hovering on the spot in the mid Atlantic. And they were probably wondering what a sailing vessel was doing crossing the Atlantic only to go from one from one St.Lucia to the other St.Lucia.

The Best Campground Cooking

When you are getting ready for your camping trip, packing your cooking supplies takes on a whole new meaning. Not only will your environment be different, but the very nature of a natural setting will affect how you cook as well as what you eat.

You should plan on preparing simple, but still tasty meals, that are easy to clean up when everyone is finished eating. The majority of adults and children like having hamburgers, hot dogs or other simple foods when on a vacation. Foods such as these, are ready to roast over a grill or wood, burning fire.

To round out your meal, you can serve a salad, fresh fruits, nuts, chips or other convenient foods as side dishes. As long as you keep the number of personal utensils and plates down to a minimum, you will not need as many items to eat with, to pack or to clean afterwards.

To keep your cold beverages chilled, perishable foods fresh, or leftovers okay for the next day, you will want to pack a cooler. Be sure it is large enough for the number of people that are traveling with you, or take more than one to handle all your food and drinks.

Your cooler can easily maintain a cold temperature, if you simply change the ice about every other day. Many campgrounds have ice machines, but you might want to check, before completing your reservation.

Salads are a good alternative for an extra side dish, that if prepared ahead of time, can not only save you time, but also let you bring items that you may already have on hand, eliminating the need to buy more items for your camping trip.

You can even make a chuck box, to save more time and storage space. This box can be made of plastic or cardboard, as long as it is sturdy and can be sealed. This container will hold your entire set of plates, personal utensils, pans, pots, and cooking utensils. During your camping trip, this will help you stay organized and since it only has enough space for you to take essential things, helps to give you less to carry.

Many cabins in our modern time, supply the pots, pans, and plates for the entire party of campers. If cabins are in your camping plans, be sure to call ahead and find out all the features available.

By following the simple suggestions above, your campground cooking preparation, can be space efficient, easy to use in the campground setting and can help to provide you with tasty menus, without much clean up to boot!

Why It Doesn’t Pay To Be Overweight

Being overweight reaches beyond personal appearance and pride. If you are overweight, you are likely to trigger or worsen any number of health problems. Obesity is now thought to be as big a cause of ill-health as smoking!

I have listed the major health problems associated with being obese or overweight. Its important to remember that I am not saying you will have these problems. Rather, your chances of having at least one significantly increase the more excess weight you carry.

  1. Heart disease and stroke

Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death and disability in the western world. Being overweight increases your chances of angina and sudden death from heart disease and stroke. Recent research suggests that if your waist size is above 35 inches your risk of heart disease is high.

  2. High blood pressure

High blood pressure rarely makes you feel ill. That is not to say its harmless. It can lead to heart disease. Being overweight is one of the causes of high blood pressure.

  3. Diabetes

Noninsulin-dependent diabetes (Type 2 diabetes) is the most common type of diabetes. About 8 in 10 people diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes are overweight. Carrying extra weight may cause the insulin the body produces to work less effectively. This makes diabetes more likely to develop. The effect is more severe if the excess weight is around the waist. One of the most serious long term risks of diabetes is cardiovascular disease.

  4. Cancer

Cancers of the colon, breast (postmenopausal), endometrium (the lining of the uterus), cervix, gall bladder, and ovary are associated with obesity in women. Overweight men are at greater risk of developing prostate cancer, cancer of the colon, and cancer of the rectum.

In 2002, it was estimated that approximately 3% of all new cancers are linked with obesity. A recent study estimated that, in the United States, 14 percent of deaths from cancer in men and 20 percent of deaths in women were due to overweight.

  5. Snoring and sleep apnea

Sleep apnea causes a person to stop breathing for short periods during sleep. It can also cause daytime sleepiness. The more overweight you are, the greater the risk of developing sleep apnea.

  6. Osteoarthritis

This joint disorder normally affects joints in your knees, hips, and lower back. The extra weight increases the risk of osteoarthritis. The excess weight is thought to wear away the protective cartilage from the joints.

You also increase the risk of the following if you are overweight:

  • Stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Gout
  • Vaginal prolapse of the rectum, womb, and/or bladder.
  • Poor recovery from medical operations

Facing Acne - How To Compete With It’s Effects

As we are all informed of, there are explosive effects caused by acne. More than those obvious red bumps on your face, there are effects of acne that could not just be healed by any face cream or acne preparation and that is the emotional scars left by acne. Well, no doctor or any expert dermatologist could deliver you with the best answer to this complication on acne.

Types Of Acne

Acne keloidalis nuchae (Pseudofolliculitis nuchae) - a rash caused by shaving

Acne vulgaris - most commonly experienced around puberty, typically of the face and shoulders/chest

Acne fulminans - an extreme form of acne conglobata

According to studies, acne is very common when one is on his teenage years. For teenagers experiencing the pains of acne, it is very hard to understand to face the social impacts of acne. There are these marks of embarrassment, anxiety and even self-pity. As a parent of a teenager who faces this worry, you could be one of the greatest advises. What could you do? You could do a lot.

Acne Problems

In 16 cases (9%) the physician rated the acne as moderate or severe while the patient gave it a low rating on the severity scale, and in 45 cases (25%) the physician rated the acne as mild while the patient gave it a high rating on the severity scale.
If not washed away, the slurry of sweat and sebaceous secretions mixed with dirt and dead skin is decomposed by bacterial flora, producing a foul smell. Of the many skin conditions that are externally visible, acne is most likely the most common.

Remind your offspring that acne is temporal.

As a guide, you need to be there and give the support to your teenager. You would afterwards see him or her so down due to the way people and criticisms pinch him or her. Advise that it will not live for long and that it would be successfully surpassed. Never stop to make it clear the authority of pressing on despite the negative reactions from others for their words are not that competent at all.

Escort your teen to a excellent dermatologist

Do not wait for your teen’s acne headache to get magnified before you go and see a dermatologist. The early the better, this may be a cliche but very true for this matter and you could realize the credibility behind this. You need to find the dermatologist who deserves your trust. Be with your teen as you have visits to the dermatologist. Also, help along your teen follow the reminders and message of the dermatologist.

Show your teenager to do the right things

There are some things or acts that may increase acne. See to it that you are near your teen to suggest that those are not the right things to do and it would just cause bad effects. Make clear the cause and effect of acne problems and be sure to answer questions that your teen has.

Build up your teen’s assurance

Faith plunges down when all those mocks and teases arise. The effect to your teen would be bad. Be there to liven the worth he or she has inside. Be agreeable with praises but do not use them just to overpraise. Confess to your teen about how cool his or her ability is. This would be a lift to his/her spirit.

You are a parent, and you could advise out your teen feel better through the misjudgments of the society towards people with acne. This is just a stage; it would surely be put to a finish. Be there and applaud your little fellow like no one could

Indoor Gardening Tips For Healthy Plants

Bring nature inside and start an indoor garden to make your home more colorful, but be careful to follow these indoor gardening tips. Plants are so soothing to look at and many indoor gardeners feel that they add that extra little spark to any room. An added benefit is that plants are nature’s purifier, taking carbon dioxide out of our air and changing it into oxygen cleansing the air in your home. Mix up your plants; try a few exotics or tropical plants, anything you choose will make your room shine with their fresh beauty and their colorful blooms. To maintain their beauty here are some indoor gardening tips to keep your plants lush and healthy.

Light is the one thing you cannot skimp on. Without this essential ingredient your plants will wither and die. Each and every plant have different requirements so for one indoor gardening tips here is some things to look for when shopping for houseplants. Ask the person at the nursery center how much light the plants you are consider will need. Some plants need direct sunlight while others crave indirect sunlight. For a direct sun plant, place the container near a window that faces south. For indirect plants they can be placed near a window but keep them far enough away so their foliage will not burn. Plants that require little light, like philodendrons, African Violets or ferns, can be arranged anywhere in the room as long as a little natural light filters in.

Indoor gardening tips on watering your plants are always needed. If you over-water your plants you are subjecting them to insects and disease and you will eventually kill it. Over-watering will also rot the roots. Plants hate wet feet. Once you have discussed the watering needs with the nurseryman invest a small amount of money into a water gauge. The gauge will tell you the moisture level of the plants soil. They are extremely helpful in deciding whether to water or not and really only cost a little money, a very wise investment.

Another indoor gardening tip is to fertilize. At the nursery center they fertilized the plants to encourage them to grow so they can sell them to you. If you do not fertilize your plants they will droop and wither. Find out from the center or from the internet what each plants feeding schedule should be. The secret to keep happy, lush plants is to feed them on a regular basis.

You want to keep a close eye on each plant for any pests. If you find pests on one plant isolate it from the rest and treat it immediately. Try not to use pesticides on your plants especially if it is a plant you will eat, like herbs.

A very good pesticide free natural formula for eradication of pests is:

In a jar, combine 1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid and 1 cup vegetable oil. Shake vigorously. In an empty spray bottle, combine 2 teaspoons of this mixture and 1 cup water. Use at ten-day intervals (or more often if needed) to rid plants of whiteflies, mites, aphids, scales, and other pests.

If you follow these few indoor gardening tips you will have beautiful houseplants that enliven every room. Take time to enjoy your indoor garden. Let it relax and soothe you, after all that’s why you planted an indoor garden.

Happy Gardening!

The Tibetan Terrier and Willy - Crufts Best of Show Dog 2007

Many may now be considering the Tibetan Terrier as a family pet, since the Tibetan Terrier ‘Willy’ (full name Fabulous Willy) won the trophy for Best in Show at Crufts Dog Show 2007. If you are, you will be pleased to hear that the temperament of this breed has been one of the most attractive aspects of the breed since it was first established in the 1920’s. As would be expected from a dog previously used as a watch dog, they tend to be reserved around strangers, but should never be aggressive or shy with them.

One of the features for which the Tibetan Terrier is known is their broad, flat feet. We don’t think that such feet can be found in any other dog breed. The eyes are large, and dark. The Tibetan Terrier is one of the most ancient of all dog breeds, as has been established by recent DNA analysis. The feet have developed for mobility in snow. It has been said that the Tibetan terrier, is more of a herding dog, than a terrier.

It makes an excellent guard and has a powerful, siren-like bark which is surprising in a dog this size. It is also a loyal and affectionate pet, though it has a mind of its own and needs firm training. Although its coat requires regular grooming, it does not need a great deal of exercise. This is a playful breed and will enjoy human company in the garden or on the occasional foray into the countryside.

The eyes are large, dark, and set fairly far apart. Long and thick, but should not be so long as to touch the floor, as is typical in breeds such as the Lhasa Apso, or the Maltese.

The appearance of the Tibetan Terrier is that of a powerful, medium sized dog of square proportions, with a shaggy coat. A fall of hair covers the face and eyes, but long eyelashes generally prevent hair from getting in the Tibetan Terrier’s eyes, and the breed has very good eyesight. As such, the early history of the breed is linked to only a handful of foundation dogs.

No particular colours are preferred, as with terriers generally a wide range of colours are permissible, however, liver and chocolate are not allowed. Although waves are acceptable the coat should not be silky or curled.

Breed health problems have been seen and because of that, Tibetan Terrier clubs recommend purchasing from breeders who participate in eye and hip testing.

The Tibetan or Lhasa Terrier, being such an ancient breed, is probably the ancestor of the Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. The most plausible version of its history is that it was bred as a herder, working in tandem with the much larger Tibetan Mastiff which guarded the herds. Less hardy individuals were given to the Tibetan monks, who in turn may have given them to nomadic tribes to protect them on their travels; it is also possible that the nomads stole the dogs. Another account claims that the Tibetan Terrier originally came from Japan and was brought to Tibet by nomadic traders.

Like the other Tibetan dogs now popular in the West, the Tibetan Terrier has a long and luxurious coat. Typically it has a fringe falling forward over the eyes, a small beard and a jaunty kink to its tail.

It makes an excellent guard and has a powerful, siren-like bark surprising in a dog this size. It is also a loyal and affectionate pet, though it has a mind of its own and needs firm training. Although its coat requires regular grooming, it does not need a great deal of exercise. This is a playful breed and will enjoy human company in the garden or the occasional foray into the countryside.

Especial care should be taken when using “hot” oils! Always use “hot” oils in extremely weak dilution of less than one percent for skin application.

Commonly used “hot” essential oils known to have the potential to cause, skin irritation, include: basil (Ocimum basilicum), bergamot (Citrus bergamia), birch (Betula lenta), black pepper (Piper nigrum), cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), clove (Eugenia aromatica), ginger (Zingiber officinale), expressed (cold pressed from peel) oils of lime, lemon, orange and grapefruit (Citrus limetta, limonum, sinensis and paradisi), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citrates), oregano (Origanum compactum), Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris), Siberian, balsam or silver fir (Abies siberica, alba, balsamea), thyme (Thymus vulgaris), wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) and in some cases, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) and peppermint (Mentha piperita).

If any of these essential oils is applied in a dilution of carrier oil on the skin and a hot, red irritation occurs this is the result of a burn to the skin that requires immediate attention. Always have a vegetable carrier oil like Pure Light Coconut Oil or Jojoba available to apply onto the skin in such cases!

Apply a carrier oil will have an immediate effect of calming the skin irritation. Do not wash or rinse the area with water as this will drive the essential oils further into the skin and increase, not diminish discomfort.

Do You Have A “Dinner Party” Portfolio?

When they’re starting out, investors are inundated with opportunity. On websites. At tradeshows. In the mail. It’s everywhere. Cyprus, Croatia, Spain, Florida, Estonia, Las Vegas, Bulgaria, Thailand, Germany, Goa, France, Hungary, UK and so many more. It’s a candy store for the budding property investor with so many outstanding opportunities to choose from.

The experienced professional investor knows that most of the countries are simply distractions or ways to easily line the pockets of salespeople… and to lose money.

Let me introduce one of my investors - “Tina”. She has an awesome “dinner party” portfolio, meaning that around the dinner table she can hold her own with the best of them.

She owns a great place in France on a 17 year leaseback, a wonderful Spanish apartment only 10 mins from the beach, a main street apartment in Auckland, New Zealand, an off plan Dubai apartment, a Bulgarian ski chateau, a Northern Cyprus apartment to die for with views of the Mediterranean from the bedroom, an apartment in central Berlin (that’s on the infamous east side only minutes from Alexanderplautz). She also has 3 apartments and her own home in the UK.

After I met with her, it was obvious that her investment strategy consisted of buying whatever sounded good. In fact, she was blissfully unaware of the fact that her portfolio was a ticking time bomb.

Tina was in:

  • 8 different property markets, with

  • 7 different languages, and
  • 8 different property laws, and
  • 10 different letting agents, and
  • 8 different market cycles.

If that wasn’t enough she needs to understand the mortgage products of 8 different countries so she can access her equity as well as 8 different taxation laws. Are you starting to get the picture?

I have always loved Warren Buffet’s investing ethos, especially his opinion on diversification:

Diversification is protection against ignorance… It makes very little sense if you know what you are doing.

You see I have always been a fundamentals investor. One of the things about fundamentals is that once you understand a market and begin making money in it you simply keep doing it, you DO NOT think well I made some money, so what’s the next challenge? You persist, you build systems to make it easier for you to make money, you build better relationships and as a result you make more money, easier.

That’s the essence of my ‘Set and Forget’ philosophy

The only time you even consider going into a different market is once you have built a solid foundation in the first. That’s what being a fundamentals investor means.

You see Tina had bought one property everywhere without any fundamentals, she never cared about questions like:

  • when my French property goes up in value over the 17 years how to I take the equity out?

  • When I try and sell my Bulgarian property once they join the EU who will buy it?
  • How much capital gains will I pay?
  • How many inner city Auckland flats are coming online at the same time as my flat?
  • Who will either buy or rent my Dubai flat once it’s ready in 12 months?

It’s questions like these Tina had no idea how to answer. She had simply been attracted to the initial deal. This is one of the best ways to be assured of losing money.

Property investment is a small part buying and a big part holding. Don’t think that just because you got a good deal on the purchase that it is a good deal. You need to consider the holding, the re-mortgaging, and the disposing.

Only then can you truly say it’s a good deal.
