Most people raised in the United States strive to avoid poverty. We work 50-60 hours a week, save, read investment advice and often place value on people based on their financial status. I grew up in a small town close to the Canadian boarder. On a world wide scale I wouldn’t call my hometown impoverished, but on a national scale it distinctly falls far below the national average income levels. My aunt calls my hometown “the armpit of the nation” because of the harsh environment which has plagued economic development since it was first settled in the late 1600’s. The long dark winters are a breeding ground for depression. Despite the economic and climatic challenges, I like to visit often because I like to reaffirm my value system. Most of my friends in my hometown struggle to survive and yet they are happy most of the time. Here are a few things I’ve observed about their life. I call these the gifts of poverty.

1.Simplicity. When you don’t have much money, your choices are fewer. It creates a simpler lifestyle and less anxiety. Researchers say the human mind gets overwhelmed by too many multiple choices. Let’s say you drive an old junker car and it breaks down. You decide whether to take the bus for awhile, or how you’ll go about fixing your old car. You don’t have the option of thinking about which of the many new models of cars and trucks you are going to buy. And therefore you make a decision and don’t waste any time ruminating over an impossible obstacle.

2.Empathy. People who struggle or suffer loss of any kind are far more likely to empathize with others. Most of my childhood friends who stayed in my hometown may not have fat bank accounts, but when someone has a fund raiser for a member of the community who’s in need, the whole town shows up and gives generously. As a kid, I was expected to help shovel sidewalks for senior citizens, give up my bus seat to adults and help my community. I learned everyone can have difficult times but it doesn’t mean that person is any less valuable to the community.

3.Community and Creativity. When you don’t have much money, companionship becomes a great treasure. You learn to work within your community. Since your not spending so much time at work or shopping, you have time for friends. You learn how to throw together a quick potluck dinner. You also learn everyone has something to give and find your own gifts within the spectrum. Money losses it’s value. If someone acts with kindness you can cook them a meal or bring them vegetables from your garden, but most people are insulted when you try to give them money.

4.Time and Friendship. Some people are poor because they cannot find fulltime work, or cannot handle fulltime work. This gives them much more free time. If they do not have money to waste on retail items, they have more time to spend on meaningful activities such as time with friends and family, time outdoors, or time being creative.

5.The Value of Money. Despite overwhelming odds, I learned how to use and appreciate everything money could do for me–how to save, live on next to nothing and how to make a wise investments. I put myself through college and learned to carefully evaluate my purchases and therefore value my possessions. At the same time, I know nothing is more important than life and at a certain level my material possessions mean nothing to me. It’s my experience of life and those who share my journey that are important.

These lessons of poverty served me well though out my lifetime. I’ve always been able to live on less than what I make, and I enjoy my life. I’m grateful that I know people are always more important than possessions. I like the options that money can buy and I’m glad I’m no longer poor, but I will always be grateful I wasn’t raised with a silver spoon or in a culture that values net worth more than the worth of a soul.

Throughout the course of our business, we have the opportunity to attend many car shows to demonstrate and market our products. The shows that we go to might be a casual cruise-in, a local or a national meet. Regardless of the type of show - there is always one thing that stands out - a nicely detailed car!

Your ride might be a “driver”, a concourse-quality “trailer-queen” or even a racecar. No matter what you drive, there is no doubt that a detailed car that “pops” grabs your attention. And who doesn’t like to drive a nicely detailed car? And if you are a gear-head like me, yes I have a great job!

Some of these shows are meant to be just “fun”, while others are highly competitive. For example at the Mid America Truck show they have a show and shine. All of these “Big Rigs” are working trucks. The judges actually use white gloves! These guys even wax the inside of the frame rails - and detail the tires inside the tread. I couldn’t fathom such detail until I attended the event last year with our Canadian distributor Stephane Gauthier who is well known in the Big Rig Show and Shine circuit. They start detailing their rigs the week before the show.

Assuming that you don’t have a week to dedicate to detailing and staging a car at a show and the judges aren’t using white gloves, I will attempt to share with you tips and techniques for prepping your ride on site at the show. Now, your car might never see water and be towed to the event in an enclosed trailer, or it might be a cruiser and you drive it - the process is about the same - and can look equally nice - it’s all in the details!

Let’s assume that we are starting with a fairly clean surface - there is no sense in putting wax and dressings on dirty, soiled or otherwise contaminated surfaces.

Start with the exterior. Think of detailing your vehicle like painting a room - always start from the top down. The reason for that is if there is any overspray from wax or dressings, you can catch them as you work your way down the surfaces of the vehicle.

If you have a convertible or vinyl top, it’s time to dress it! Let’s talk a little about dressings here. For the most part, there are basically two kinds of dressings for vinyl, rubber and plastic - they all are either water based or solvent based. You will want to use solvent based dressings for the exterior of your ride - solvent based dressings won’t wash right off and fall apart like water-based dressings will, and in my opinion give a richer, deeper luster. As well, a solvent based dressing, like our Super Blue will do a better job for conditioning and UV protection.

I always suggest dedicating an applicator to your solvent-based dressing. The reason for this is that you want to do this as efficiently as possible and minimize any clean up of overspray. Start with spraying small amount of dressing on the applicator and wipe the entire top from front to back. Now - this is where some people stop and they get streaky-looking results. To eliminate this - repeat the process going from side to side, front to back. This crisscross technique ensures even coverage and eliminates any chance of getting those dreaded streaks when it dries.

If you don’t have a convertible or vinyl top, start with a quick detailer / spray wax and a clean microfiber towel on the roof surface.

Before you begin, let’s talk a little bit about your quick detailer /spray wax and microfiber towel. To get optimum results, you will want to use a quick detailer / spray wax that will not streak. Some will, given the humidity and temperature when they are applied - the bottom line is you want to enhance the appearance of your ride - not add smears or streaks. Also look for a quick detailer / spray wax that contains a small amount of carnauba - as an added benefit you will also be extending the protection of any existing wax you have on your ride. We also recommend using a clean microfiber towel dedicated to this purpose.

When using your quick detailer / spray wax - a little goes a long way. Just spritz the product lightly. Other than adding more protection and “pop” to your surface, it will also serve as a lubricant helping to safely float off dust and grime. Our natural tendency is if this much is good, more is better, right? Just like me with laundry detergent - wrong! All you end up doing is wasting product and making a mess.

The reason that we recommend a microfiber is that if used correctly, it will not scratch the surface of your ride. Don’t treat the microfiber towel like sandpaper - wipe gently, turning the towel over frequently - let the towel do the work. You won’t be adding any more shine or luster my rubbing hard, and even a microfiber can scratch your paint if you rub hard enough. Just by turning the towel over frequently and wiping off any excess it will easily collect any dust, road grime or bug splatters. I usually concentrate on a concentrate on a 2-foot by 2-foot area at a time - the old cliche applies here - inch-by-inch life’s a cinch! Do your entire surface of the roof.

Next, let’s move down to the glass with your quick detailer / spray wax. Now, some of these products don’t work well on glass, but the good ones will, like our Body Shine Showroom Spray Wax. Spritz a little on the glass surfaces, then wipe with a microfiber towel. The microfiber will make it a snap to clean up any contaminants like bug splatter if you drove to the show, and they are highly absorbent to suck up any excess detail spray. Your quick detailer / spray wax will make your windows “pop”!

Now is the time to start with the front part of your ride. Start at the hood and continue to work your way down. After the hood is wiped off, I move to the front of the vehicle. Repeat the same process, paying particular attention to the nooks and crannies of the grill and other trim of the car, including the headlights and grill.

Staying with the front part of your ride, I then start on the front fenders. Repeat the same process. Don’t worry about any vinyl, rubber or plastic trim; I usually save that for last. Ensure that you hit the chrome with your quick detail / spray wax as well as any painted surfaces. At this point - take a step back, check it out and admire your work - things are starting to come together after only a few minutes!

Next, move to the back of the vehicle. Start on another big surface - the trunk lid. After the trunk is done - continue on to the rear of the vehicle, again doing all painted and chrome surfaces. Next, move on to the rear quarters. I usually then will do both doors and surfaces in between the front and back last.

Now is the time that you want to dress the rubber, plastic and vinyl trim on your ride. Again, I apply the product with an applicator instead of spraying it on - it saves clean up time. Don’t worry or fret if you get any of the dressing on the adjoining painted or chrome surface - just wipe it off with your microfiber towel!

After dressing the trim on the body of your ride, move to the wheel wells. Yes - the wheel wells. Use your dressing to spray under the wheel wells to get it to look like new. It will easily cover up any dust or dirt that you might have accumulated driving to the show or parking at the show and it will look like new! Next hit your tires. There is nothing better looking than fresh-dressed tires - remember - it is all about the details!

Again, I suggest dressing wiping the tires with an applicator for two reasons. First, you will minimize any clean up from overspray. Secondly, we all have personal preferences about shine and finish - wiping the product on will allow you to get the exact finish that you desire - the heavier that you apply it the shinier the surface.

As a last step, use your quick detailer / spray wax and microfiber towel on your rims/wheels. This last step allows you to wipe up any excess dressing off your wheels.

Take another break and step back and admire your work. Next - let’s look at the interior.

Start with cleaning the interior glass. If needed, use a streak free glass cleaner and a microfiber towel dedicated to cleaning glass. Remember to clean up any overspray on the dash and door panels. Using your microfiber towel, wipe any dust off the dashboard, rear deck lid and the rest of your interior trim.

After wiping the interior down, open the door and pay attention to the jambs. Using a quick detailer / spray wax, spritz the surfaces and collect any grime that might be present.

As a final touch, use an aerosol touch up dressing for hard to reach places, like our Dash Vent Magic to dress those hard to reach areas like the conduit that carries wiring for power windows and locks. It will make them look like new!

Open the hood and trunk and wipe down those compartments. Use your spray wax / quick detailer if needed. Pay attention to the seams where the hood and trunk meet the body - on both sides of the panels - remember - it’s all in the details!

Grab your lawn chair, get a cold beverage and admire your ride - and watch as everyone else does.

In Mother’s Hands
By Colleen Avelli
ISBN 1424100968

How long does it take for us to find our soul mate? How many lifetimes do we actually spend together? How can we truly know when our spirit’s other half has re-entered our lives? These unexpected questions are answered in Colleen Avelli’s book, “In Mother’s Hands.”

Our understanding of the main character, Susan, begins in her childhood. Losing her mother at a tender age had a huge impact on her life. It is fair to say that she became who she is through the circumstances that evolved because of her mother’s death. Her deep relationship with her brother, her turbulent relationship with her father, and her every relationship thereafter, all were affected by her loss. Discovering who Susan is lends understanding to the story as it unfolds. Susan will join the Peace Corps and discover her destiny. Her connection to the people she stays with in South America is powerful. There is a purpose to her being there that only the wise ones are aware of. Susan will soon understand that she has been brought to this place by an ancient pull that her spirit feels. Will it be enough to save her?

Colleen Avelli tells a tale of deep emotion, vivid imagery, and the pure bliss of following one’s heart. Her characters are full of life, demonstrating passions and sadness alike. Her settings are bursting with nature in all of its glory, eliciting moments of breathing in the moist river-misted air. In a plot that evokes thoughts of pursuing dreams and the unconditional love of parents, Avelli also opens the doors to mystic circumstance, the power of purposeful thought, and having faith in the unknown. “In Mother’s Hands” is a positively delightful read.

Many of you have considered installing the Firefox browser
but haven’t yet because of the unknown. Some of you may
have even tried it but went back to IE (Internet Explorer)
because no one was around to explain how to use and
configure it. Some of you have no idea why you would even
want to switch from using IE to Firefox. This article will
cover all that and more including how to create a one of a
kind unique browser just for you. You can’t do that with
IE.

Because of the complete lack of custom options in IE as
well as it’s constant security holes, Firefox was born. At
the time, IE was more popular than all other browser
options combined but there was no way to customize it. It’s
rapid adoption and exponential user base growth was due
solely to the fact that it started out as secure, addressed
all new security issues in a timely manner and offered
users limitless was to customize it. Because it’s open
source software, Firefox will always be a step ahead of IE
when it comes to stability and security.

Why open source? With the source code publicly available,
thousands of independent users can review and test it for
potential issues. With closed source browsers such as IE,
if Microsoft doesn’t find a problem internally, it will
most likely be found first by a malicious hacker and
exploited. Open source software such as Firefox is more
secure and robust because so many more independent people
are reviewing, probing and testing it. Their much more
likely to find and fix an issue before it can be exploited.

What does all that mean to you? You’ll know that your using
the safest most secure browser and it can even be
customized by you. You have access to thousands of other
customizations already created and you can share the ones
you may create with every other Firefox users. Firefox
doesn’t leak your personal and financial information as you
use it and any issues that are found in the future are
usually fixed within 24 hours. IE is not supported by the
huge user base that Firefox enjoys so it’s security issues
can linger for months all the while being exploited.

How can Firefox be customized when IE can not? Little
pieces of software called themes, plug-ins and extensions
allow you to control Firefox. There’s a plug-in that lets
you keep an eye on the weather anywhere in the world as
well as notifying you instantly about severe weather
alerts. Astronomers can see, at a glance, sunrise, high
noon, sunset and moonrise as well as when the next full
moon will occur. Do those flashing banner adds annoy you?
Banish them permanently with the Adblock plug-in. You don’t
have to create your own customizations if you don’t want to
because there are thousands already in existence to choose
from. If you do want to create your own, Firefox will even
show you exactly how to do just that.

Firefox is extremely stable and secure because it enjoys a
loyal and active user base which you can join for free. As
you use your browser, you private info stays private. Due
to the fact that Firefox is open source, it constantly
improves over time. You have full control to customize it
any way you want. If you have a need for customization that
doesn’t already exists and you create it, you can share it
with millions of other Firefox users.

Why is Firefox the fastest growing browser on the Internet?

Witness in the Square
by Gini Anding
ISBN-10: 0595410952

In the reflective tradition of Agatha Christie, Gini Anding offers another great mystery for readers to pick apart. In “Witness in the Square,” we find ourselves once again in Paris with Amy Page and Jean-Michel Jolivet, deep in a plot of murder, intrigue, and of course, passion.

Amy is always on the verge of turning out a new article for a magazine back home in the states, always taking notes for her cookbook, and always in the thick of things on the Ile Saint-Louis, in the heart of Paris. It seems too that she is always in the midst of criminal activity, occurring unbeknownst all around her. Inspector Jean-Michel Jolivet, her lover, is recovering from a gunshot wound from one of their previous escapades and is not by Amy’s side when she is brought in for questioning in regards to a murder she is somehow connected to. The victim was carrying Amy’s umbrella and so the web is woven. How very involved Amy unknowingly is, becomes key to figuring out what is going on. When a second acquaintance falls victim, the entire Ile Saint-Louis is turned upside down in concern. What could the clues left behind mean? Things that normally would not make any kind of sense, to Amy, is a puzzle to ponder. In her unorthodox fashion at figuring, Amy holds further clues that she isn’t even aware of. Jean-Michel patiently takes on the task of drawing out what needs to be known, while trying to protect his beloved. Throughout it all the couple realizes that they are indeed, a couple, and tries to understand the importance of that realization.

The plot is bigger than imagined with twists that lead to high staked risks. With points of interest that include stamp collections, hand carved earrings, Hawaii, forged passports, and terrorist activities, this is not your typical murder mystery. Author Gini Anding goes into wonderful detail of her beloved Ile Saint-Louis, giving historical facts to deepen the reader’s experience. Hawaii’s history too is explored, as well as the use of the female form in classic art, among other tidbits.

The environments that Gini brings her readers to are rich with detail and breathing with life. If you can’t afford to travel you can always delve into a Gini Anding book! The characters are endearing and capable of living out the plot and you will be left wondering what they are up to while not in a story in front of you. This third book in a series certainly adds to the collection but it also stands alone as a fantastic read. I highly recommend “Witness in the Square” as a murder mystery with a darker side than most.

Practical Spirituality - The Ego

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /wwwroot/gphone-android.com/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1142

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to surl.cn:80 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) in /wwwroot/gphone-android.com/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1142

There is a popular movement today with the coming of a so called “New Age,” to partake of spirituality, instead of just religion. Many of the ideas from Eastern religions stress enlightenment, and dissolution of the power of the ego. In these religions the concept of the isolated self is false. The idea is to come to knowledge of the true self, the self that lies beyond the false self constructed by those around us. The true self is the larger self, the one connected to everything.

In the world of dualism this is a difficult teaching for some. The dualists who hear it and agree with it work to let go of the idea of ego and false self quickly, wanting to abandon it right away, and wanting to be in contact with the true self. It is the right thing to do to them. In Eastern thinking, however, this dualistic tension usually doesn’t exist. One example of the lack of such tension can be seen in Taoism and in Tibetan Buddhism.

In Tibetan Buddhism there are thousands and thousands of wrathful and peaceful deities, as well as Bodhisattvas that you pray to during your journey through the bardos in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. In Taoist temples there are often pictures of Gods that people venerate. At the same time, these are non-theistic religions. The practitioners find no tension in the fact that there are many Gods, but none, whereas some of the westerners try to uphold such religions as religions without a God. The truth is, however, that these religions realize that reality is too great to possibly understand. Images of God or Gods are a tool for understanding powers and concepts they can grasp. Some feel comfortable focusing on Gods to do this, and some don’t On the surface it may seem that these groups are practicing different religions, but at a deeper level, both have the same belief. That belief is that we cannot be absolutely sure until we are there. Using our energy to discover if there is or isn’t any such things as God is only a tool of the ego that stops us from the true work of spirituality. It is that simple.

In the western mind there is a great deal of unrecognized ego attachment. A theist must remain theistic because his idea of humanity and who himself is attached to his idea of being a theist. If he should be convinced to become an atheist or non-theist, he will have lost the battle of wits between these different parties. He will have given one of his most central core beliefs, and therefor, will have lost the battle. Accepting a new idea of a God would make an atheist have to surrender. She would have to give up her identity as an atheist-someone who has been standing against superstition. What would her friends say? Doesn’t this whole discussion and holding on and letting go sound like the fruit of the ego? That’s what it is.

As we begin to partake of these various Eastern religions, and even Western spirituality and mysticism, it is important for us to remember the ego, and how it subtly shapes our experience of the world and our belief systems about God and humanity. Dualism is the main tool of the ego. In order to loosen the boundaries of the ego it is necessary for us to begin to see the world holistically, not dualistically. In holistic thinking there is a place for dualism, but in dualism there is no place for holistic, singular thinking. In the self actualized person there is a place for ego, but in a person with an ego ruled life, there is no room for self actualization or enlightenment, because the ego is afraid of such things.

While partaking of your spiritual journey, therefor, be sure to notice where ego begins and ends. Your ego could actually be shaping your spiritual experience to the point that everything you experience, everything you study, and every teacher that you have, is being suggested by the ego so that you can remain the way you are and can strengthen the beliefs that you already have about the world, thus making the ego impenetrable. You can become more ego attached by doing spiritual exercise and meditation. If they are the ones you feel comfortable with, they are probably being chosen by the ego. Spirituality does not feel comfortable most of the time. In the beginning it rocks ones world and causes stress. It tears apart comfortable ideas about the world and stretches one to the point of breaking sometimes.

After the breaking and during the mending one feels comfortable and one grows. If, however there is no stress, there is no fear, disillusionment and breaking at various points during one’s spiritual journey, one should question whether he or she is really doing the type of spirituality that will bring about enlightenment, or if he or she is religiously feeding the ego in yet another way. Be aware of the ego, my friends, because the ego is a Fifth Avenue penthouse cage when it needs to be. Through our spiritual practice we could just be relaxing the mind and strengthening the body so that the ego can use it to partake of the world of illusion with more vehemence and persistence.

My initial reaction to “Wearing the Spider” by Susan Schaab is, “Wow.” It’s a wicked web we weave and this book will leave readers with the feeling of needing to brush off a few spiders.

This legal thriller is also a work of suspense and romance, offering a bit of something for everyone. Evie Sullivan is a hopeful lawyer up for partnership at her law firm. She works diligently and passionately, often staying in the office well into the night to get things done. What she doesn’t know, could certainly hurt her. Overhearing part of a conversation in the conference room late one night sets Evie on edge and has her looking twice at things she’d brushed off as simple errors… things like her name appearing on work she hadn’t done, strange hotel receipts in her name in her expense reports from places she’d never been, emails from clients she had no known contact with. Someone seemed to be trying to make her look bad in the eyes of legitimate clients and the partners. Could it all have something to do with a forced kiss she’d fended off months ago? Was someone trying to exact some sort of revenge? Or was this all just part of something even bigger than a suffering ego? The plot thickens to reveal the inclusion of a US Senator, a commission worth $25 million, and the murder of a woman set on giving Evie some important information. Time will tell if the spider is spotted before it is too late, through it all though, readers will feel the creepy crawly sensation of Evie dealing with something quite evil.

A nice counter to the sleazy feelings elicited by certain characters are the amorous moments Evie has with a man she meets on an airplane. Drawn together, by chance or by fate, the two have a connection. He wishes to be her knight in shining armor and she needs to feel his support and good intentions. He convinces her to take action and takes part in bringing the FBI into the mix.

Susan Schaab offers a high-tech thriller that cracks open the inner workings of a large law firm and leaves one wondering just how often sexual harassment and hostile work environments are tolerated in the corporate world. Her plot is complex and compelling, inspiring the continued turning of pages well into the night. Her characters are rich with human flaws and positive attributes that draw the reader into their world. If you’ve ever been manipulated by anyone, you surely will be rooting for Evie, and booing her adversary. The feel of the book is fast paced, well planned, and most interesting. I highly recommend “Wearing the Spider.”

Fablehaven Rise of the Evening Star
by Brandon Mull
ISBN-10: 1590387643
Release Date May 2007

When the world needs protection, and magical beings are at risk, the power of youth is called into action. In Brandon Mull’s newest book “Fablehaven: Rise of the Evening Star,” readers will be swept up in the fantastical realm of the unusual and unexpected.

Kendra is fourteen years old and her brother Seth is twelve. Their youth and energy will see them through some amazing adventures as the school year ends and summer begins. The magic won’t wait for the two to enter their grandparents’ home in Fablehaven, a refuge for magical creatures. Something lurks the school halls, and someone tricks Seth into letting loose a goblin. A phone call from Grandpa Sorenson warns of danger and explains the need for the siblings to help protect the sanctuary. An ancient artifact is hidden somewhere on Fablehaven and with the help of some of their grandparents’ companions, Kendra and Seth have to find it before the Society of the Evening Star discovers it. The safety of the world depends on this quest, and the future of magical creatures everywhere hinges on the outcome.

Kendra finds that she has some amazing, fairy gifted, abilities, like seeing in the dark and understanding different languages. Seth finds that he is braver than he ever dreamed possible, but smart enough to know when a little fright and caution is a good thing. Together, the two will uncover mysteries, make their way through Brownie tunnels, and face terrors of high proportions. Will they figure out who has infiltrated Fablehaven? Can they get to the artifact before it is too late? Do you know who to trust?

Brandon Mull has done it again. His works are an absolute escape into fantasy but with a grounded foundation in reality that makes it all the easier to fall under his trance. This stand alone book, the second in the series, is much anticipated, but it will also leave readers frantic for more. The implications of future storylines are highly enticing and promise great enjoyment. Mull has a way of drawing in even the most reluctant of readers. His characters are teeming with strengths and abilities, weaknesses and faults. The imagination is set free, all the while inspiring readers to discover their own inner selves. With a social message or two, Brandon Mull has penned another masterpiece. In the traditions of Tolkien and Rowland, but with a wonderful style that is all his own, this author is one to watch and eagerly anticipate future works from.

These days you hear a lot about hormones and estrogen in particular especially when it comes to the effects of women aging. Recently we’ve been hearing that hormone replacement therapy may not be the great answer we once thought it was and can, in fact, be dangerous.

But estrogen is not the only hormone in your body and in fact, progesterone is just as important and as much a part of the aging process as estrogen. Hormone replacement pills often contain synthetic progestins which in themselves may not be so good for you and at the least do nothing at all. However, natural progesterone can be quite beneficial in helping your body in a few key areas.

Natural progesterone has not shown to be toxic or cause any increased risk of disease even when taking at much higher levels in the body typically produces. In fact, it is then shown that breast cancer cells which were exposed to natural progesterone did not multiply as fast as those cells which were not exposed to it so there may be some protection against breast cancer.

Another thing that natural progesterone can help in aging body with his bone health. We all know that as women age, the risk of osteoporosis increases. One of the reasons for this, although it is not widely publicized is that your body does not produce as much progesterone. In fact this can happen in even younger women who, for some reason, do not ovulate properly be it due to excessive exercise or other factors.

You see, your bones are made up of osteoblasts and osteoclasts. Osteoblasts are responsible for building new bone and they are stimulated into production by progesterone. And osteoclasts, on the other hand, are responsible for the removal of old bone and are stimulated into production by estrogen. If you are producing too much estrogen in comparison to progesterone, then your body is taking way old bone but not building any new bone.

Natural progesterone can also help with a slew of other symptoms including migraine headaches, hot flashes, unstable blood sugar, depression, ovarian cysts and a lot more!

You can get natural progesterone pills, but the easiest way is probably to just get a natural progesterone cream that you can buy without a prescription. You should check with your doctor before doing this though because you want to be sure that this will not interfere with any other medications or hormone replacements that he has you on. The creams are quite easy to use and you simply rub them on a thin skin area such as your breasts, or underneath your arms. Depending on whether you are premenopausal or postmenopausal you may use the cream on different days out of the month.

In our previous article: VPN Access we discussed connecting to your workplace network using Virtual Private Networking (VPN). Today we’ll discuss using Terminal Services to connect. In my opinion this is the preferred way to connect and easier to understand for the client.

Terminal Services is the ability to login into a remote computer and use its application/file resources as if you were physically sitting in front of that computer. For the remote computer you will need an operating system like Windows XP Professional or any server operating system. For this example we’ll be using XP Professional.

To configure please do the following: right click “My Computer” -> left click “Properties” -> click on the “Remote” tab on top. Check the box that says “Enable Remote Desktop”. Click “Apply” and “OK”. An important note is if your remote PC is using XP Pro, when you log in remotely it will lock the local computer out. You don’t have to worry about this if you are using any server operating system. As mentioned in our previous article you will have to configure your router for port forwarding to the computer you want to access. The port that needs to be opened is TCP Port 3389.

From the home computer click “Start” -> “All Programs” -> “Accessories” -> “Communications” and then select “Remote Desktop Connection”. When the Remote Desktop window opens you will see a white box and the word “computer” right next to it. In the computer box this is where you need to enter in the public IP address of your workplace computer. To obtain that IP address, from your workplace, open up a web browser and go to this address www.whatismyip.com. Write the IP number down and enter it in the “computer” field on your home computer.

I want to mention quickly in order to print or copy files from your remote computer you will need to enable a few settings. On the Remote Desktop screen you will see a button that says “Options”. Click “Options” then click “Local Resources”. Check mark Printers and Drives and then click options again. This will redirect your home printer and drives to your workplace computer.

Once the IP address is entered into the computer field click connect and you will be brought to the log in screen of your work computer. Enter in your user name and password and you should be in. In order for this to work, your work computer must have a password set.

In our next article we’ll be discussing Router Port Forwarding.
