There is no replacement for a good bikini wax. You just can not get the same results by shaving. If it is time for you to get that bikini wax there are a few things you can do to make the process go smoother. Keep reading and find out what those things are.

The first thing you should do is choose your waxing salon carefully. Find a clean salon that you feel comfortable in. If you are uncomfortable or are worried about the cleanliness of an establishment the experience will not go well. If you are considering doing it yourself think about that decision carefully. Kits are readily available in stores but you will probably be much happier letting a professional do the work.

Next you should consider taking your favorite pain reliever before going for your appointment. This will assure that it is at its full strength when you actually need it and you will probably need it. Also, go to the store before your appointment and get a good pain relieving gel. You might not need it but you will be happy you got it if you have some lasting pain after the waxing. it is better to be prepared.

Finally you need to be realistic. If this is your first time waxing do not try to do too much. Start with a basic bikini wax before you go for the full Brazilian. You can go further on your next visit after you have become used to waxing. Remember, it gets easier every time.

Hopefully this article has given you some useful advice about bikini waxing. Don’t worry you will get through it and you will probably return for more waxing treatments. As you will soon see, you just cant beat the long lasting effects of waxing. Good luck and don’t worry.

Most of the diet plans on the market today require you to reduce or restrict certain foods. Can this be healthy? Will your body function properly on reduced nutrients vital to your body’s performance?

The diet plans on the market today prey on a person’s sense of quick weight loss. Trying to lose weight quickly will present unsuccessful results. At the onset of the quick weight loss plan, most of what you lose is fluid. There is very little, if any, fat lost in a quick weight loss plan. In the long term, you end up gaining the weight back you thought you lost.

Have you researched the diet plan you have chosen? Are you aware of what the diet plan will do for you for long-term weight loss? Are you sure you want to fill your body with laxatives and diuretics? Do you know that most, if not all, of the weight loss programs on the market today contain pills? And do you know that most of those pills are nothing but laxatives and diuretics? Do you think this is a healthy way to lose weight? What is this type of diet plan doing to your vital body organs? Do the research before beginning one of these diet plans.

I have been introduced to a phenomenal weight loss plan that begins with a five-day fast. The five-day fast has all of the vital nutrients your body needs for optimal body performance. The fast gives you motivation to continue where the five-day fast left off in your weight loss goal.
After the five-day fast, there are two phases to keep you on the path to the weight loss goal you have set. Phase I has you phasing in regular foods into your diet. Guess what I found when I finished the fast? I found that I no longer craved certain foods and drinks I was eating and drinking before I started the fast. Therefore, the five-day fast was successful in “curing” me of unhealthy eating habits. The five-day fast played an integral part in my weight loss plan.
Phase two of my phenomenal weight loss plan shows me how to continue and maintain my weight loss. It shows me some simple, easy-to-do exercises. This is a magnificent weight loss program that promotes healthy and safe eating habits. My weight loss program has taught me to implement more water into my daily routine. I no longer drink soft drinks. I only drink water. I read somewhere that the brain is made up of mostly water. If this is true, then I give my brain plenty of fuel.

My weight loss program does not allow me to starve myself nor does it allow me to restrict certain nutrients that are beneficial for the performance of my body. My weight loss program is totally healthy and totally safe. My weight loss program does not allow me to skip meals. If I am unable to eat one of my meals, I substitute a meal-replacement shake or fruit for the meal. The fruit gives me the energy I need to sustain my normal daily routine.

Because my weight loss program does not allow me to restrict certain foods, I am able to maintain my weight loss program for the duration of my weight loss goals. Most restrictive weight loss plans leave a person feeling frustration, depression, failure and a quitting. When this happens, it is inevitable that the weight loss will become weight gain.

Before starting any weight loss plan, you should first consult your physician to find out if there are any unknown medical issues that would dictate if a weight loss program would prove healthy, safe and productive.

Mary Mason-Shields encourages this form of weight loss motivation to help you unload those unwanted pounds and help you find that little person you lost. This will also help you begin a healthy and nutritious diet plan.

THIRD ACTION STEP

You are developing your personal will force by practicing keeping your FOCUS in the Present, Here and Now.

Your will power must become strong enough over time so that you will no longer lose consciousness to your habits of mind or to lower frequency feeling states like fear, doubt, worry or anxiety.

Negative feeling states are always involved with imaginings about your past or the future.

Learn to dissolve past attachments and release your energetic connections to the past through being in the present moment. This will greatly increase your energy level!

To fully embrace today’s unique opportunities for experiencing life and self expression you need as much of your Consciousness in present time as possible.

Releasing and forgiving things in your past frees you to create in the present moment.

You must free your sense perceptions and develop your powers of observation and become aware of how you are investing your energy on a daily basis.

The quality of your Consciousness determines your future and your degree of Presence determines your Consciousness. For your life to get better you must get better!

Practice releasing your resistance to what is and being in the present moment.

A daily meditation practice can be helpful for releasing resistance to what is.

Other means of relaxing into present moment awareness and allowing what is include: being aware of your breath, being in nature, listening to natural sounds, listening to music (especially stringed instruments and the flute), different forms of fluid movement and exercise, bodywork, massage and energy work.

Love handles are very difficult to remove but there are physical activities that will reduce love handles. Some of the physical activities are already in your daily routine or if they are not, they can easily be implemented.

The five physical activities to do daily that are possibly already in your daily routine are:

1.-Climb up and down stairs for approximately 18 to 20 minutes. If you live in a split-level home, you have stairs to contend with daily. Use the stairs as a mechanism for reducing your love handles. No need to spend unnecessary dollars to exercise on gym equipment. No need to spend unnecessary dollars to join an exercise club or the Y when you have stairs already at your disposal for those love handles.

2.-Mow your lawn for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Don’t ride your lawn beautiful. Push your lawn beautiful while pushing those love handles. Today’s gadgets are making us gain weight and making us put weight on in areas that are very difficult to remove. Try to stay away from the motorized equipment that makes our lives easier and stick with the power of your own body. After all, it is your body you are trying to get back in shape.

3.-Wash your car, rather than let someone else do it for you. You exert a lot of energy washing your own car and you use a lot of muscles in your body. Instead of using the automatic car wash or paying someone else to wash you car, do it yourself to reduce your love handles. Why give up your chance of reducing your love handles by giving in to that ‘lazy bone’?

4.-Walk your dog/pet for approximately 20 to 30 extra minutes. Use this chore to your advantage. While allowing your pet the freedom to take care of its business, take this opportunity to take care of yours - physical activity to reduce your love handles.

5.-Do housekeeping chores for an additional thirty minutes. Okay, the housework has to be done. Use this physical activity to your advantage. Make your housework a little more vigorous and a little bit longer to enhance your chances of reducing your love handles.

The physical activities I have listed here do not require you to expend any money and they do not require you to set up an exercise plan. All of these activities are resources at your fingertips and are at your disposal at any time. Repetitiveness is the key to combating the reduction of love handles. Repeat these physical activities as often as you like and in any combination you choose to do them.

Paul Brown has released his most recent CD entitled Up Front.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Up Front. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Up Front is a pleasantly varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are his own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

The nice thing about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if smooth jazz isn’t your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

This is a first rate CD, delivering a little something for everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It’s quite simply great listening. A must buy if you’re even mildly into smooth jazz music.

While the entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 1, Wes’ Coast Swing, track 2 Angel, track 5 My Funny Valentine.

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 4, Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight. This is a great track!

“Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.” William James. This article provides some reflections on this quote and introduces the theme of procrastination — what it is, why we do it and tips to help overcome it.

This William James quote is all about procrastination. It’s about that task which has been on your to-do list for days, weeks, months, possibly even years. You made a start on it — you just didn’t finish it. For one reason or another, you are putting it off. It may only take five minutes to complete but still you cannot bring yourself to do it. As such, it remains around for what seems like eternity. It just will not go away; it is there at the back of your mind.

You feel fatigued by the task — the mere thought of it saps your energy. You put the task off for another day, but it does not bring you happiness. The avoidance of the task can cause more stress to you than the task itself.

What is procrastination?

Procrastination is when you put off doing something, for whatever reason. It may be a decision or an activity. It also involves those tasks that you have made a start on but have just not finished. People procrastinate over many things - from major decisions (should I change my job?) to small tasks (cleaning the windows). Furthermore, the task itself does not necessarily have to be unpleasant. All that is known for certain is that something is definitely holding you back.

Why do people procrastinate?

There are many reasons why people procrastinate. In fact, you may not even know why you are procrastinating. Take a look at the following, to see if any strike a chord with you:

Fear of failure. You may be concerned that you are not good enough to complete the task, or if you do it will not turn out as you had planned.

Fear of success. Perhaps you are concerned about the consequences of you achieving your desired goal or activity. Will it bring more work, unwanted attention or higher expectations?

You cannot see the point in finishing. Past experience tells you that your hard work will not be recognised or rewarded, so why bother?

The environment may not be as you would like. It may be too noisy, quiet, bright, dull, hot or cold.

Other people. You believe others are expecting you to fail, or they may be demanding your attention.

Boredom. The task is too dull to waste your time over it.

The belief that the task is too big, so why bother as you will never finish it.

Lack of motivation — you can think of no good reason to do it.

Past experience tells you the task is uninteresting or difficult.

As time moves on, you may start to doubt your ability to even finish the task.

Tips to help you overcome procrastination

Get motivated. Think about what motivates you. Do you need to reward yourself for completing the task? Do you like starting things? Then maybe think of an activity you can start only when you have finished your uncompleted activity. If you are motivated by completion, procrastination will hinder this reward, so remind yourself how good you feel when you finish something.

Set yourself a goal. Give yourself a deadline and break it down into achievable chunks. Schedule a time when you will do it; make sure it is a time when you work best or are the most motivated. Be realistic with your goals, they should be big enough to be interesting but small enough to be achievable.

Limit your distractions. Think about all the things that will get in your way and decide how you will deal with them. If you work on a computer, close down all windows except the one you are working on, including chat and email programs.

Imagine how you will feel once the task is finished. No more fatigue and no more unfinished task!

Remind yourself of why you started the task in the first place. Recall how you felt when you began the task and relive those positive emotions.

Find enjoyment in a seemingly boring task. This is especially important if it is something you need to do on a regular basis.

Make sure you are not hungry or thirsty, too warm or too cold. These can all reduce your concentration levels.

Imagery. Close your eyes and imagine yourself carrying out the task. See yourself hard at work, happy and motivated. You are thoroughly enjoying the task, nothing is distracting you. Imagine how good it feels to be engaging in the task.

Avoid multi-tasking. You will soon find yourself avoiding the task once more, as you allowed something else to get in the way.

Identify your barriers. Write down what is standing in your way of achieving the task. It may be something in your environment or thoughts that you are having. Once you are aware of your barriers, you are in a position to do something about them. You may need to challenge your thinking to achieve this.

Brainstorm solutions. If you are uncertain about how to achieve your particular activity, brainstorming can be beneficial. Write down all the different ways you can achieve your goal. Think of as many possibilities as you can. From this list, choose the most realistic, the one that will work for you. Then make a plan for carrying out your chosen solution and get started.

Unfortunately there are people out there that want to profit from your financial misfortune. If you are facing foreclosure you are vulnerable to these scam artists. In fact, you are their primary target.

How do they find you? It’s easy. Once your lender files your foreclosure notice with the public trustee the public must be notified, usually by a listing in your local or community newspaper. When this occurs you will likely be bombarded with mail, phone calls, and even personal visits by people claiming to be able to help you. These crooks watch the foreclosure listings like sharks circling their prey.

These predators will arrive at your doorstep at the most opportune time posing as caring allies who can ‘creatively’ solve your problems. In effect they are only interested in stealing your hard earned equity or even your home itself.

You can usually spot these scam artists by their bogus titles such as ‘foreclosure specialist’ or ‘foreclosure consultant’. These titles are red flags. They will act like your friend, give you false hope, and tell you everything you want to hear. Be very skeptical of anyone claiming that they can help you. Tell them upfront you will be looking into their qualifications, background, and business standing. That should send the worst of them away. For those remaining, you’ll need to know the three primary techniques they will employ to try to rip you off.

The first and most commonly used technique is called Equity Skimming. In this scam a person claiming to be a buyer will approach you. They will promise to get you out of your foreclosure dilemma by paying off your mortgage and giving you a sum of money when the property is sold. The “buyer” will probably suggest that you deed the property to them, move out, and discontinue communication with your mortgage lender.

Typically the scam will play out by the buyer renting out your home to a third party and collecting rental payments for a few months. During this time they will not make any of your mortgage payments and will allow your lender to foreclose on the property. Signing over your deed to someone else does not relieve you of your obligation on the loan.

If you are reluctant to sell your home to them they may offer to ‘lease it’ back to you if you agree to deed the property to them. On the surface this option may seem appealing since you can remain in your home - but don’t be fooled. This almost always leads to disaster.

Usually these crooks will promise to sell your property back to you on a future date after the threat of foreclosure subsides. Arrangements like these usually end up benefiting only the person or company approaching you. Do not risk it. Once you sign over the deed to your home you lose control of it. They will have the ability to borrow against your home or even sell it without your permission.

The second scam technique involves a phony loan transaction. You are presented with documents that appear to be a refinance loan that will bring your delinquent loan current. But in reality the documents may be cleverly worded to transfer title of your home to their company for only a fraction of its value. Or if the loan doesn’t transfer title to them it still may have undisclosed, hidden traps in the terms that can spell disaster for you. Common traps such as outrageous fees, interest-only payments, immediate rate adjustments, balloons, and prepayment penalties.

You have to know exactly what you are agreeing to. Once you sign the documents, even if the terms were not explained correctly, you will be responsible for those terms upon the funding of the loan. Always have an attorney review any such transaction in advance before signing anything. If you are pressured in any way to enter into an agreement regarding your home you can safely assume that you are being victimized.

The third most common technique used to separate you from your money is the bogus ‘expert’. Here you are approached by someone offering to help you solve your foreclosure problems for a fee. Usually the help entails simple tasks that you can do yourself for free - such as negotiating a payment plan with your lender. The worst of these individuals will simply take your money and walk away without helping at all. Never agree to pay anyone up front for their foreclosure services.

In summary here are the basic rules to follow:

  • Never agree to deed your property to anyone
  • Assume the person approaching you is more interested in the money they can make than they are with solving your problem
  • Never pay any money upfront to people claiming to be experts or specialists
  • Never sign any document you don’t fully understand
  • Do not allow yourself to be intimidated by pressure or threats from any third party
  • Make sure you get all “promises” and offers in writing
  • Any agreements or offers should be reviewed by an attorney before you sign anything
  • Always remember that verbal agreements mean nothing
  • Beware of any contract of sale or loan assumption where you are not formally released from liability for your mortgage debt
  • Check with your lender before entering into any agreements affecting your property
  • Never agree to pursue a new loan with monthly payments you know you will have trouble making
  • Never sign any document that has blank lines or spaces to be filled in later
  • If you don’t speak English use your own translator. Don’t rely on anyone else’s translator
  • If you are selling the home yourself to avoid foreclosure, check to see if there are any complaints against the prospective buyer. You can contact your state’s Attorney General, the State Real Estate Commission, or your local District Attorney’s Consumer Fraud Unit for this type of information
  • Be especially aware of ‘affinity marketing’ techniques offering you help. For example Christians helping fellow Christians, Hispanics helping Hispanics, etc. There has been an increase in scam artists looking to exploit people that share a common interest, belief, or social group. Their goal is to gain your trust through a common thread and get you to let your guard down

One last note regarding foreclosure scams. People looking to rip you off don’t necessarily have to be strangers. Make sure any offers from friends or family meet the same criteria and are in your best interest.

Recently I watched an excellent movie called “The Tao of Steve”. In this movie, an average guy lived by a simple philosophy which helped him attract a wide variety of attractive women.

While you’re probably aware of the fact that most movies are the product of some screenwriter’s imagination, there is a lot to be learned about the main character’s philosophy.

Simply by adopting the three basic principles of Dex (the main character in ‘The Tao of Steve), you can be on your way to increasing your success with women.

Here’s how to incorporate Dex’s ideas into your life…

1) Eliminate your desires and all thoughts of having sex

In order to meet (and attract) women, you have remove all thoughts of having sex with her. This is important because most women can tell if you’re only looking to get laid.

So when you’re talking to a girl, don’t worry about trying to go home with her. Instead focus on enjoying the conversation for the sake of the conversation.

Once you eliminate your desire to have sex with her, you’ll become free to relax and live in the moment.

2) Always Be excellent around her

Women go for guys with elevated status. If you can do something excellent around her, you’ll increase your status level and make yourself worthy of her attention.

What’s great is when you prove your worthiness she’ll start to pursue you.

So if you do something that’s both interesting and different from the average guy, you’ll appear to be a valuable person who she should know better.

3) Retreat when you have her attention

After you have proven yourself and created desire in your target woman, move away from her.

If you’ve done the first two steps properly, she’ll pursue you. Since you now have proven your worth, retreating will make her want to work for your attention.

There is a saying which talks about how human beings pursue the things that retreat from us. So when you have her attention, moving away from her goes against what she’s probably used to. In essence, you’ve become a prize which she must obtain.

While the ‘The Tao of Steve’ is only a movie, there is a lot to be learned about how to succeed with women. You really can learn a lot just from applying the three techniques that’s described in this movie. So if you have time, I definitely recommend you check it out and learn how to become more like Dex.

If you ask most kids today what “Easter Eggs” are, they’ll probably tell you that they’re undocumented features found in computer games and DVD’s. Of course, when it comes to the history of Easter gifts, it refers to brightly-colored eggs. The egg tradition associated with Easter is an old one, predating the arrival of Christianity in Europe. It has long been a fertility symbol in many cultures.

One the other hand, Easter - which in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches is considered the main observance of the liturgical year - has a close connection with the Jewish holiday of Passover, or Pesach, which celebrates the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. During the traditional seder meal, hard-boiled eggs flavored with salt water are eaten. (In fact, the “Last Supper” was actually a Passover celebration.)

Colored eggs are also part of traditional Easter gift baskets, and many of these are works of art. In Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and other Slavic-speaking countries, Easter eggs are painstakingly painted with highly elaborate geometrical patterns in vivid, contrasting colors such as brilliant whites, reds and yellows against black dark maroon and deep blue. This decoration method is known as pisanka.

In Iran, colored eggs have been part of the Persian New Year celebration of Nowruz for over 3,000 years. Nowruz coincides with the spring equinox.

It nearly all of these cultures, the egg represents dormant life waiting to be born - a fitting metaphor for Spring, and for Christians, symbolic of the resurrection of the founder of their faith, Yeshua ben-Yosef, or Iesus Christos as he was named in Greek.

In the Roman Catholic Church, Easter also marks the end of a forty-six day period of fasting and privation known as Lent. During Lent, it was traditional to give up eating animal flesh and/or dairy products as well as eggs. Of course, one’s chickens didn’t stop laying during that time, so it was common to boil them in order to preserve them and avoid wasting food. Hard boiled eggs are an ingredient in many traditional Easter dishes, such as hornazo, a savory pork-and-egg pie eaten in Spain.

Today, eggs are often as not made from chocolate and are a welcome part of children’s Easter baskets. If you are in Scotland during the Easter season, you might even be able to get your chocolate Easter egg deep fried from a fish-and-chips establishment!

Other Easter egg traditions include numerous games, such as the Easter egg roll, a speed contest in which hard-boiled eggs are pushed along with a spoon; rolling eggs down steep slopes; and of course, the ever-popular Easter egg hunt. It’s possible nowadays to get “beeping” Easter eggs that allow children with visual impairments to join in the fun, as well.
