So far we have discussed articles and opt-in forms as means of driving targeted traffic to your website. Another is to optimize your website so that you get a first page listing in search engines. If somebody finds your site through using a keyword to find it, then they are going to be interested in your site if it is relevant to the keyword. It is going to be relevant, since that is the job of the search engines. They send visitors to websites that meet the search parameters used by the potential visitor, so these visitors will generally be quality traffic.

What you do not do to get quality traffic is to purchase lists of people described as ‘pre-opted in’ or offer gifts for people to visit your site. Sure, either of these will provide you with traffic, but none of it is likely to be described as ‘quality traffic’ since they have been offered an inducement to visit your site. The lists you can purchase have not provided their email addresses as a gift to those selling them.

The best way to send quality traffic to your site is to generate your own based upon honest information about the content of your website, and refusing to provide inducements to have people visit your site. One targeted visitor is worth fifty paid ones.

Keep your mind on the prize..the profits or whatever your primary goal is. Do not be led astray by getting too caught up in the little things…ask yourself, what is really making me money? And then do more of that.

So you’re the best man and you have to give a speech at the wedding. You could be the brother, the best friend of thirteen years, or you could have met the groom last year. The point is, you have to make a speech in front of a lot of people. What do you say? You might think that it’s easier for girls- they are good at the mushy stuff after all. Being male, you might not know how to approach your best man speech, with the fear that you don’t want to sound too mushy and be made fun of for years to come by your guy friends. So here are some tips to help you avoid that, and come out with a great best man speech that everyone will love.

First, tap into your softer-side. It might be hard and you may not have seen that side of you in years, but try. It is a wedding after all. Begin by congratulating the couple. Relate how happy you are for your best friend/brother/friend/cousin, whatever he is to you, and that you know he and his new wife will have a wonderful life together.

Second, give it a personal touch. Tell an anecdote of you and the groom. Talk about something that will illustrate how deep your friendship is. You could also talk about an aspect of the groom’s personality that will illustrate what a good husband he will be, or how he and his beautiful bride are perfect for each other.

Third, remember your audience. Best man’s speech can be humorous, but do not go overboard. Some things may be appropriate to say in front of the groom and your friends, but not a room full of people, including parents, young children, and grandmothers. You and the groom might have a long, history together that include crazy road trips and wild parties. This would be the least inappropriate time to comment on these times. If you’d like to lighten up the speech a little, make small jokes about little things the groom has done or said. Remember, you do not want to offend the groom, nor you want to embarrass him and everyone else in the room.

Fourth, remember to congratulate the groom and his bride. Tell the groom how happy you are for him that he found someone to spend the rest of his life with. Also, thank the audience for allowing you to talk before them. Finally, end with a line about how you know the new couple will be happy for many years to come, and that you wouldn’t wish anything less for your best friend/brother/etc.

Fifth, practice. Your nerves might be trying to take over your rational thought when you stand up to give your speech. Therefore, so as not to give a speech that’s jumbled and jumps from one topic to the next, plan it out and practice. Try reading your best man speech in front of a mirror, a friend, or even a room of your little sister’s stuffed animals. It doesn’t matter; just practice and you’re going to shine with your best man’s speech.

A meditator, a true meditator, has no role to play regarding the world. None whatsoever. What a meditator must do is discover the truth about herself, himself, and that is the extent of it. This is a very self-enclosed, seemingly selfish endeavor.

The world has tried it the other way, a shallow, haphazard understanding of truth and a fictitious regard for humanity that comes down to nothing more than appearances. We care about others in the world . . . if it involves our national security. This is compassion with sharp teeth, and is not compassion at all, and we see the results of it every few years when we go to war and our kids are sacrificed because of our arrogance and ignorance.

So a meditator’s only responsibility is to herself, but it is a big responsibility. If she does not get it right, and begins teaching before she truly understands humanity, then the world will not change. Then we will continue to act out of fear, and the direct consequences of fear - which are hatred, greed, and ignorance.

How do we get it right? We get it right by going deeply into our own motives with an open mind. We investigate our drives, our fears, our beliefs, and most importantly, our “selves.” The self is the key to understanding. When we discover the falsity of self, we discover everything else, and then we can understand from a compassionate angle the situation that all humanity finds itself in - that we all suffer in many ways.

It’s when humanity tries to wiggle out of its suffering; blame someone else for its problems, think that if it can only accumulate more than the other guy it will be safe, this when everything flies off the rails. All these things must be understood with a meditator’s heart before she can dip her toes back into the world and do some good, and she will know when to do this - if her meditation practice is correct.

A meditator will have only one motive when he or she teaches, and that is to point out greed, hatred and delusions so that the world may become more peaceful. If they have developed a true understanding, they will never teach for money, not even to “cover expenses.” They will cover expenses in this country by working at a regular job like everyone else. They will never have ulterior motives to teach, and will only be driven by compassion to help a troubled world. They usually won’t teach until they have practiced meditation for many, many years, and usually not until they desire not to teach. This means that their teaching is not from ego, and therefore they teach quietly, slowly, step-by-step, explaining cause and effect, and without disparaging others.

So a mediators only job is to only meditate - patiently, carefully, and with passion. Only then might the world change.

You have found your preferred web host, got your domain name, and designed the format of your web pages. Now you are wondering what to put on your web site. You might think it easy to check other web pages, but what they have might not be what you need. Here is a list of the various features that you should have on your website.

First you need a title. Whether it is your home page or one of the internal pages, it should have a title. Not only does this indicate to your visitors what the page is about, but it also does the same for the search engines. Each page should have a different title that should contain the keyword for the page.

Next you need content. Without content there is no point in having a website. The content for each page will, of course, be different, but should be related to the theme of the website as a whole and provide information on your products or service. Like the title, the content should contain the keyword that is the theme of the page. Use it once in the first paragraph and once in the last.

Your page should also have some form of navigation, logically arranged, without linking every page to every other page in your website. For example, if your website is about pets, your home page should provide links to cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. Each should link to a page introducing the subsection. So the cats page will introduce cats in general, and will provide navigation links to cat food, cat care, cat species, and so on. Each sub page will then provide further links, so your cat species page will link to Siamese, Burmese, Tabbies, etc.

Get the idea? That keeps it tidy with not too many links on every page. There should be some navigation links, however, that are on every page. You might provide the following text links at the bottom of each page:

Home: your visitor should be able to get back to your home page from any page on your site.

About us: you should have a web page that gives some background about yourself and what there is about you that should persuade a visitor to believe you or purchase from you.

Contact: your contact page should contain at the very least an email address. A postal address and fax and telephone number also give your visitors some confidence in you. If you are not afraid to be contacted, then you must be trustworthy.

Disclaimer: legal disclaimers may be appropriate and these are best written up for you by a solicitor, of which there are many advertising this service on the internet.

Site Map: if your site is large, an easy to read site map should be available and search tool would also be useful for a large website, so that your visitors could search your site for what they are seeking.

Where appropriate any landing page for visitors, including your home page, should an opt-in form. If your visitors are allowed to leave your site without leaving an email address you will likely never get them back. This should also be provided on any other page that visitors are directed to from your adverts, such as sales pages, etc. A testimonial page is sometimes useful for sites that provide services, and you must make it clear what your payment methods and delivery services are. Most people making a purchase like to know how long it will take for their purchase to arrive.

Although your payment methods might be dictated by your payment processor, wherever possible allow credit card payments, and payments by PayPal, check and internet bank transfer. By curtailing any of these, you could lose customers.

There are other options for web pages, but these are generally what to put on your website without packing it so full that there is no room for content. Don’t forget to give lots of information about your product or service. Put yourself in your visitors place, and if you are happy with what you are being provided with, then they also might be.

What do you use to treat the your child’s hurt and the injury?

A new study in the latest issue of Pediatric looks at three commonly used medicines for kids’ painand found which one works best. The study looked at how well the medications worked for
musculoskeletal injuries to the neck, back, arms or legs in kids who came to the emergency room.

You would think that in this day and age we’d have a grasp on which medication is best for children’s pain due to musculoskeletal injuries–things like bruises, and even fractures.

It is somewhat unbelievable there hasn’t been a lot of research into this, which is why this new study
sheds a lot of light on the kids pain issue.

Kids who come into an E.R., or even are just treated at home, need pain medicines that can be managed with less intense medicine then codeine. But which one is best? Tylenol? Ibuprofen? What about codeine?

Except for codeine, These are Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, usually abbreviated to NSAIDs, are drugs with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. They reduce pain, fever and inflammation. The term “non-steroidal” is used to distinguish these drugs from steroids. NSAIDS are unusual in that they are non-narcotic.

The findings clearly shows a pain relief advantage to ibuprofen, which acts both centrally in the brain pain centers and at the site of injury.

After one hour, more children got more pain relief using ibuprofen than those taking tylenol or codeine. In fact, there’s no difference between tylenol and codeine in terms of pain relief.

Dr. Ting An Lee, a pediatrician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, “Tylenol acts more centrally and the ibuprofen also is acting centrally but also has peripheral effects. That is the major difference between the two. Often times we will use ibuprofen because of what I mentioned before the peripheral effects and helping to reduce the swelling and the inflammation that comes along with these muscular-skeletal injuries,” says Dr. Lee.

So for treatment of you childs pain, it looks like ibuprofen should be the medicine of choice. But, you should look into non-addictive, non-oral solutions as well.

Baking soda is a versatile and natural substance that is made from sodium carbonate, soda ash, or sodium bicarbonate. It is a known fact that baking soda has numerous uses including baking, deodorizing, everyday cleaning, and best of all beauty.

Many beauty products can be created in the convenience of your own home using a box of affordable baking soda and a few other ingredients. Below are ten beauty products that you can easily make using baking soda.

1. Relaxing bath: To create a relaxing bath, add ½ cup of baking soda to your bath water. This will leave your skin feeling refreshed and smooth.

2. Foot care: To give your feet a treat, mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda in a tub or basin of warm water. Soak your feet for desired amount of time. Then, create a paste of baking soda and water and gently scrub your feet with it. Your feet will thank you for this!

3. Clean brushes and combs: To clean brushes and combs by removing natural build up of oil and hair product residue, soak combs and brushes in a solution of 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small tub or basin of warm water. Rinse combs and brushes thoroughly and allow them to dry before use.

4. Skin exfoliant: To create a gentle skin exfoliant, create a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Rub the mixture in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate your face and/or body. Rinse baking soda off with warm water.

5. Hair care: For beautiful, shiny, and more manageable hair, sprinkle a quarter-size of baking soda into the palm of your hand and mix it with your favorite shampoo. Shampoo your hair as normal and rinse thoroughly. The baking soda and shampoo mixture will help remove product residue allowing your hair to be cleaner.

6. Whiter teeth: For whiter teeth, brush your teeth with baking soda. Rinse out your mouth with water when finished.

7. Baking soda bath oil (for 1 bath): To create a soothing bath oil, you will need 4 tablespoons of baking soda, 8 fluid ounces of honey, 16 fluid ounces of milk, 16 tablespoons of sea or cooking salt, and 4 fluid ounces of baby oil.

In a large bowl, mix the baking soda, honey, milk, and salt; stir well. Pour the mixture in a bath of warm water and add the baby oil. Use your hands to stir the mixture with the water and step into your soothing bath.

8. Rough skin: To smooth rough skin on your elbows, knees, and other areas, make a paste of baking soda and water and rub on skin. Rinse away paste with warm water.

9. Nail care: To soften your cuticles and clean your nails, apply baking soda to your cuticle brush. Now, scrub your nails and cuticles for great looking nails.

10. Dry shampoo: Running late and don’t have time to shampoo? Mix 1 part baking soda, 1 part baby powder, and 3 drops essential oil. Apply the mixture to the roots of your hair, including bangs, and comb through. This mixture will absorb excess oils and freshen up your hair.

The best thing that you can do for your website is to give it an SEO makeover. Make it friendlier to search engines, because the free exposure that they can give you could be provide you with more traffic than all of the other suggestions we have to make here combined. To do this, though, you have to start with your website structure then attend to some of the details that make the difference. However, SEO is a subject you must study and learn, but after a while it will come to you what is required.

The second best form of online traffic is that achieved through article marketing. Writing articles might seem a chore to you, but they provide you with the best type of traffic: targeted to what your site has to offer. Send your readers to the right page and you have traffic that wants what you have to offer.

Third, and for the same reason as the first two, PPC advertising. If you word your advert right and lead those that click on it to a page on your website that relates only to the subject of your ad, then you again have visitors very targeted to what you have to offer. Just remember that you are paying for everybody that makes a click to your web page, so use that money the best you can. Make sure that you have an opt-in form on the page you lead them to, and give them an incentive to give you their email address and add to your list.

If you offer a free ebook to all the visitors you get to your website from the above techniques, they will probably accept it. If you also offer them distribution rights, they will love it and use it to give free to their potential customers, especially if you show them how to do it.

Now, if you pack that ebook full of your affiliate links, offering readers some great software and help with their own businesses, you can make a great deal of money from just the one viral ebook. That’s what viral means, and if done right it can be an amazing way to make money and get traffic to your website.

Another great way to get traffic is to use forums to your advantage, but within the rules of the forum. You can offer forum members help with their problems, and perhaps lead them to your website with a genuine offer of help or advice. Once you can show the other members of the forum that you have something to offer they will have an incentive to visit your website. Forums, after all, tend to be focused on a niche or a specific subject, and you are generally allowed to use your website URL in your signature and profile which is always good advertising within a targeted group of people.
