Many recommend that those who want to make money on eBay end their auctions on weekend days or evenings. While this works for those sellers, there is more to it than just picking a day and ending on that day. It involves knowing your products and your customers to make the ending day and time decision.
Sellers who want to make money on eBay need to conduct the research that is required to know their target customer. They need to know when that target customer prefers to shop on eBay. Sellers need to know when that target customer is most likely to be ready, willing and able to make the purchase of their item.
In our case many of our products are targeted for stay at home moms. We have found through testing that our target buyer will buy throughout the week. They prefer BUY IT NOW to make their purchases. They do not make as many purchases on weekends. For us to make money on eBay we need to end auctions on weekdays and routinely use the BUY IT NOW option on our products.
On the other end of the spectrum is the buyer who works Monday through Friday and prefers to make purchases on weekends. If your product is targeted at that buyer respond accordingly. To make money on eBay requires that you end auctions on the weekend for this customer.
Do you want to make money on eBay? Know your target buyer and that target buyers preferences. Accommodate those preferences in the day and time that you end your auctions. Both you and your buyer will win when you use this strategy.
