Have you ever fumbled in the dark to find the light switch? Chances are you most certainly have. If you have a brick and mortar business and not using the internet to sell your products and services, then you are fumbling in the dark. As a result, you will not be able to maximize your business sales and make the most profits.

The internet has change how businesses sell even though the reason why they sell remains the same. Of note is that today’s sales force tend to be shrinking. His is as a result of more transactional sales done in the internet. Today’s sales force will consist of mainly top performing salespeople and very low producing sales professionals will be eliminated. The enormous costs eliminating process will mean higher sales productivity for businesses and also a more dedicated sales force.

Having lower producing sales professionals eliminated will mean lower expenses for companies as salaries and traveling expense will be reduced. Given the same overhead budget the bottom is more profits for business. The increased profits can then be used to increase market share through increased marketing channels. Using the internet in business sales allow business to reach market segments they normally would never be able to reach because of the enormous costs involved offline.

Consumers have also felt the impact of the internet in business sales and this has resulted in a change of buying patterns. With so much information available o n the internet customers have more choices and most likely will do more research before buying products and services. This forces more value and competition from businesses .Customers also need to be wary and exercise e caution when shopping on the internet. Compute savvy is not a necessity as the internet is much easier to use today as opposed to years ago.

Finally, it can be seen that both consumers and businesses are impacted by the internet in business sales. In the end it is a win -win situation for all parties involved.

If you can physically sit directly on the floor, this is best. Sit on a pad or carpet, cross your legs Indian style and place a small, firm pillow under the tip of your tailbone. If the floor is too uncomfortable, you may sit on the edge of a chair in an erect position. If you are disabled and can only meditate lying down, this is fine. If sitting cross-legged on the floor, tuck your left heel between your legs and try to place your right ankle either on top of your left thigh, on top of your left calf, or on the floor next to your left calf, while keeping both knees firmly on the floor. This might take some getting used to depending on your physical flexibility.

When using a chair, sit on the edge with your feet flat on the ground and your back straight. Your feet should be able to touch the floor and your thighs should be parallel to the floor so that your knees are neither higher nor lower than your hips. Your hands should be relaxed, lying in your lap palms up, one cupped within the other. Your left hand should be underneath, right hand on top, with your thumb tips touching lightly.

Make certain that your spine does not slump during meditation-this is the essential thing. Retain the natural inward curve of your spine in the small of your back by thrusting your hips foreword. Never allow yourself to slump in this area. Your shoulders and legs should be relaxed, feeling only a slight tension to keep the back curved inwardly. In time, as you learn to thrust your hips forward, this tension will relax as well. It is important that you remain relaxed at all times and that you do not become tense. If you notice any tenseness, relax for a few moments, take a deep breathe, and then continue your practice.

The position of your neck is very important. It should not be tilted forward or backward, but upright and stretched toward the sky while at the same time your arms should be relaxed and falling from your shoulders. Your chin should be tucked in slightly. You may keep your eyes open or closed, as you prefer. If open, keep them only half, or barely open, gazing at the floor three or four feet ahead. Try not to glance around.

If you are sitting on the floor, some back discomfort or knee ache can be expected until your body adjusts to the posture. Do not be too quick to surrender to pain or numbness or you won’t learn about them, which you should. On the other hand, always treat yourself kindly regarding acute pain at this stage in your practice. If the pain does not subside after a reasonable amount of time, adjust your position. Later, you will be able to disassociate the pain from the body and neither pain nor fear will be a problem. Notice the cycles of any pain or stiffness that might arise in your back or legs, and especially how the pain affects “you” mentally.

If possible, breathe through your nose during meditation, and relax. Everything should be relaxed, peaceful, and still, with your body as motionless as possible. Moving around, swallowing, sniffing, scratching. clearing your throat and so forth should be restrained. These types of distractions are considered hindrances, and hindrances can be extremely clever. You might think that your valuables (vulnerabilities and weaknesses) are put away in a safe, but the hindrances somehow know every combination to all your safes, and will steal your things without your noticing.

Hindrances will make you lazy, sleepy, listless, irritable, numb, distracted (preferring to do something more exciting), create a lack of confidence, question your innate ability to meditate; is it working? Am I doing it right? Create doubt, is the effort worth it? Encourage you to put things off until later, until I am in the mood, or when I have more money or time, or, after I write my book, or when I am in a more favorable situation. Hindrances will create worries, for example; that you might alienate your friends and relatives. Or hindrances will persuade you to insist upon intellectual answers to spiritual questions; What is eternity? This represents only a partial listing of the hindrances’ cleverness and nonsense - the list goes on. So keep a keen eye out for hindrances.

Your whole body should be stress-free with only your back muscles or legs feeling some pressure, along with a slight tension in keeping your neck stretched upward and your chin slightly tucked in. The rest of your body, including your stomach, should be relaxed. If you can swivel your hips far enough forward, even the muscular stress holding your back straight will eventually relax as your entire body settles into a state of perfect ease and balance without effort.

If you can arrange it, a separate room for meditation is supportive. It should be quiet, cool, and subdued with the curtains drawn. Loose fitting, light clothing is best to keep your legs unrestricted and your body cool, which tends to heat up during meditation. After establishing your posture, just remain relaxed. Remember, silence is best, but if you live in an active household where noise can be a distraction, mask the commotion with noise-eliminating headphones. It’s better to avoid music during meditation; however, recordings of the ocean, the forest, or any soothing nature sounds are okay if necessary to screen unwanted noise.

You may be checking out this article because you want more money in your life. Maybe you need it. And making money can be difficult, especially if you don’t know how easy it can be.

Let’s be clear: If you’re not earning at least $15-$30/hour for your part-time job (or even full-time job, for that matter) - it’s time for you to get the money you deserve. Stop working for less than you’re worth.

I know all sorts of people busting their butts as salesman and waitresses - they hate their jobs and they sacrifice their personal lives to work these terrible jobs. Worse - when you average out how much money most of those people are making, it’s pretty pitiful (even really great waiters/waitresses earn an averages of only $13.50 per hour!). They know they hate their job, but somewhere inside they don’t believe a better option is out there. Therefore, they often block out the thoughts about how small their paychecks are… they actually believe they can’t do better!

I’ve been there. I’ve worked for different sales jobs - in the beginning, my bosses would get me all pumped up. They’d make all sorts of claims, such as, “You’re going to make $100,000 in your first year.” (And if anyone’s ever interviewed for a sales job, this is a pretty standard claim. It was only a matter of time that I realized that I probably wasn’t going to earn $100,000 a year as a real estate rental agent in Boston. In fact, I probably wasn’t going to break $40,000. Worse, I was putting in a 50-60 hour week for 6 months!

Don’t be a sucker - you should be paid a guaranteed amount of money per hour for your work. It’s what you deserve.

Do you know the single most common way brides shoot themselves in the foot when they meet with wedding professionals? I’ll give you a hint. It’s also one of the most common tips you find in most wedding planning books about what you should say when dealing with a wedding professional. Unfortunately, it is, for the most part, bad advice.

That’s right… The most common line wedding professionals hear is, “I’m on a budget.” And all too often by saying those four short words their relationship is suddenly not what it could be and occasionally it will prompt the professional to decide the bride is not one they want to deal with at all.

So, why is it bad advice to tell a bride to say that to a wedding professional?

It’s bad advice because nearly every bride says it, so it runs off like water on a duck. At best, it’s a waste of time and breath.

It’s bad advice because it attempts to put the professional in the awkward position of deciding what’s important to you - the bride.

And it’s bad advice because it insults the professional’s intelligence - and you don’t want to establish any business relationship by first insulting the one you will be working with. It’s not worth it, especially when you are talking about your wedding day.

Any reputable business person in the wedding industry knows that unless you’re a Hollywood starlet, everyone is on a budget. Yes, some might be tighter than others, but everyone is limited in what they can spend. The question is not are you limited, but what are your priorities? The second question, and only you can answer this, is how to fit your priorities into your budget.

The trick is for you to figure out how to spend what you have. Don’t put the wedding professional in the tight spot of doing that for you. There is no way the professional can know how important their discipline is to you compared to the flowers, photography, cake, etc. They can’t know your ultimate priorities. You have come to them; they have to assume that you have placed a priority on their part of the wedding planning process in order to give you a top quality product. Anything less would be to shortchange you.

Advocates of using the, “I’m on a budget” phrase claim that it will protect you from the ‘hard sell’ professionals who might try to push you into something you don’t want in your wedding. I understand that. In my experience, however, those kinds of people will push anyway. Besides, aren’t you better served by knowing what you do want for your big day than by hiding behind four words?

What’s the answer?

Take the time to prioritize so you know exactly what elements you want in your wedding.

This is true of the big items like whether you want a limo to whisk you away from the reception or would rather put the money keepsake jewelry for your wedding cake to make your reception sparkle, or flowers, or catering.

It’s also true of the details of each item. Certain flowers are more expensive because they have to be flown into the area where you are getting married. Is it important that you have those particular flowers? Maybe it is, but the fact that your resources are limited means that you will have to cut back on something else. The same is true for wedding location or your cake design.

Take the time and effort to research each discipline you want in your wedding and discover what is realistic for your budget.

In every discipline there are aspects that drive the cost up. By determining what they are you can decide in advance what you want to pay for.

This is one area where an experienced wedding planner can be worth every penny you pay them. With their time in the industry comes familiarity with the various disciplines that make up a typical wedding. They know that some things which look dramatic are relatively simple while other designs that might look simple are extremely time consuming and therefore will raise the price you will have to pay for that touch. Maybe it’s worth it. Maybe it’s not, but only you can decide. Research and / or experience in the field will help you solve those issues before it becomes a problem for your budget.

It is work, but it will save you grief, frustration, and money when you begin to meet with your wedding professionals - a lot more than those four common words.

Value in one’s product or service should be and almost always is defined on customers’ terms. It is a matter of perception. If your product or service is perceived by the customer as having value then that perception will result in a purchase. Customer value may also arise from having used the product consistently with satisfactory results.

Customer value in its most basic form is merely the difference between the benefit receive from a product and the cost associated with that product. Of note, is that today’s consumers are much more educated and informed due to the power of the internet. As such, they will tend to purchase products they feel are worth the cost needed to obtain such product. Consumers tend to know exactly what they want to purchase and will not waste time with unsuitable products.

It is important to have something unique that is not readily available anywhere else. This s will make your product perceived as very profitable. A higher price would thus be favorable. In their quest to communicate information about products and services sales professionals often oversells and overlook the customer’s needs. Consequently, the solution presented becomes unsuitable and of little value to the customer.

Reducing price dramatically or changing price too often will erode your products value. To maintain customer value refrain from volatile price changes and embrace cost. Clearly demonstrating that the benefits of your products far outweigh the costs associate with the product will work wonders in wining customers over. Think of a time you purchased a product that you found completely valuable ad that solved a need you had. Strive to provide this same feeling of satisfaction to your customers and you will be rewarded for doing so.

As always, a satisfied customer is a happy customer and will be loyal.

Medical researchers are still discovering new ways in which humans are adversely affected by airborne and waterborne pollutants. Some people assume that what they eat and drink are the primary ways in which their environment can affect their health. But actually your skin and your lungs are your main interface to the outside world. In fact, your skin is your body’s largest organ, and it plays a crucial role in regulating your body’s temperature, and keeping the outside… outside! Your lungs and skin can easily absorb toxins for which they were never intended.

The most effective and healthy ways to reduce or completely eliminate these ailments that afflict our lungs and skin…

Conventional Western medicine typically turns to prescription drugs, to try to cure the problems or mask the symptoms. But these unnatural chemicals often do more harm than good. Consequently, people interested in more natural solutions are getting terrific results from speleotherapy and halo therapy.

Speleotherapy is essentially the treatment of respiratory diseases using the air found in underground caves. (See resource list below) Such air is typically rich in natural salt microns and ions, which have been found quite effective in reducing asthma, allergies, and other breathing problems, in addition to soothing irritated skin and restoring ionic balance within the body.

Speleotherapy is most popular in former Soviet bloc areas — such as East Germany, Romania, Armenia, and the Ukraine — for several reasons. Initially, Eastern European health practitioners and medical clinics did not have the financial resources for purchasing expensive Western pharmaceuticals, and so they turned to more traditional and lower-cost methods, including speleotherapy. The mountainous regions of Europe and Asia are well-known as having the best mines for ancient salt, as well as being the primary sources for crystal salts. These natural crystals — formed countless millennia ago — are also handcrafted into beautiful salt lamps that give off healthy negative ions, which have unique healing properties.

Who uses Speleotherapy and the results…

There are numerous medical modalities used by speleotherapy practitioners. For example, at the world-renowned Ukrainian Allergologic Hospital (UAH) located in the foothills of the Ukrainian Carpathian mountains, three major types of treatment are offered: the healthy microclimate deep in their salt mines, water from those salt mines, and brine and mud from a nearby salt lake. UAH utilizes speleotherapy to treat patients with bronchial asthma, psoriasis, neurodermitis, allergic dermatitis, post-burn conditions, nervous system dysfunction, sex disorders, and chronic nonspecific lung diseases (CNLD). During more than 30 years, an estimated 60,000 patients are reported to have been cured of their maladies.

As a result of people all over the world learning the benefits of speleotherapy, clinics outside of Eastern Europe are simulating the deep cave microenvironments, offering halotherapy (HT) in specially constructed rooms, halochambers, whose surfaces are coated with medicinal salt. Natural ionization of the air is supplemented with a dry sodium chloride aerosol, to maximize the health potential of the treatment while the patient is there. Halo therapy clinics have the advantage that they are more accessible to people living outside of Eastern Europe. Yet patients only get exposure to the healthy ions while they are at the clinic, which might be for only a few days or weeks per year.

See resources below for clinics around the world….

The most cost-effective solution by far is to create your own mini-halotherapy environment in your own home and/or office.

Thus you derive the health benefits of this remarkable therapy, every day that you choose, without having to travel anywhere. Many experts consider one device, the Salin Device to be the best air purifier/salinizer, partly because it is so effective at creating a halotherapy micro-environment, and also because it is quiet and well-made. In fact, Canada considers the Salin Device to be a Medical Device Class I, just as various clinical studies have demonstrated its value in alleviating respiratory diseases. Even more portable is the Salt Pipe, which is made of ceramic porcelain, and whose daily use helps to flush away impurities from the nasal passages, as well as helping to heal and calm inflamed lungs and airways. Man’s best friend. That’s how we know them. Our canine pets that we let in our house, to sit at our feet by the warm fire or just keep us company as we work the night away. Who knew that this tame animal was once descended from wolves? But that’s how the story goes, and that’s what DNA research and fossil evidence say.

As recently as 15,000 years ago, dogs were domesticated from wolves. More recent genetic fossil evidence also shows that they might even be domesticated earlier than that. In one study, it is said that dogs are domesticated from wild dogs, which had diverged from wolves.

Where Dogs Come From

It is said that canines originated from East Asia. Specifically, evidence points to China and Japan as the first places where people domesticated dogs. When the first peoples entered North America, they took the dogs with them.

According to genetic research, there at least 14 breeds of ancient dogs and among the oldest are the Chow Chow, Shar Pei, Akita Inu, Shiba Inu and Basenji. Considering that many of the 14 ancient dog breeds come from China and Japan, it is most likely that the theory that dogs come from Asia is true.

Interactions with Humans

Dogs, like humans, are highly social animals. It is because of this distinct behavioral pattern that they are highly trainable, playful, and generally good companions. Moreover, this ability of dogs to fit into human households and social situations puts them in a unique position among interspecies relationships.

Dogs, being descended from wolves, have pack instincts. These instincts are humanly interpreted as loyalty and devotion, which are close to the very human emotions of love and friendship. This is the very reason why so many dog owners consider their canines as full-fledged family members. Conversely, many canines seem to consider their human companions as part of their packs.

Intelligence

Both anecdotal evidence and scientific research reveal that dogs have reasonably high intelligence. In fact, many dog lovers especially value this intelligence. However, not all dogs exhibit their intelligence in the same manner. While some breeds are very good at obeying commands, others are not so keen on obeying. Instead, they display their cleverness by devising ways to escape the yard or steal food.

Because of their intelligence, dogs have come to fill a variety of roles in human society. Some breeds are especially trained to recognize dangerous situations and avoid it, and this ability is very useful for blind or deaf people. There are other canines that are very useful in law enforcement, including attack breeds, sniffers, or search-and-rescue. There are also those that serve as guards for livestock, work as herders, or as arctic exploration sled pullers.

An Easy Quick Recipe For Dinner Tonight - Taco Salad

Are you in need of an easy quick recipe for dinner? No matter how busy you are, your family still needs to eat. If you’re the cook, dinner can become an insurmountable problem on a busy day. Take-out gets boring pretty quickly and puts a strain on the pocket book as well.

Lets face it, half the battle is in planning ahead. When you know the menu, and have the meat thawed, then an easy quick recipe like this one is a snap. If the dinner hour approaches with no plan in mind, then a lot of energy will be expended in the planning and shopping. With a few simple recipes and planned ahead menus you can have dinner on the table in double time.

This Taco Salad recipe is a staple at our house. Some people like the corn chips mixed into the salad, others like to eat the chips separately. If you want to mix it all up before serving that’s ok also. You could add canned pinto or kidney beans that have drained and warmed. I like to serve it just like this. Some people use Thousand Island Dressing instead of the sour cream. The great thing about this meal is that the salad, meat and starch are all included in the one recipe. This is easy to double. I will usually cook extra meat for my freezer, giving me an additional easy quick meal in the future.

Taco Salad

1 pound ground beef

1 package taco seasoning mix

½ large or 1 small head of lettuce, shredded

1 avocado, sliced or diced

½ green bell pepper, sliced thin or diced

½ large diced onion

2 medium tomatoes, diced

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

¼ cup black olives, sliced

1 package corn chips

1 jar salsa

½ cup sour cream, fat free sour cream works fine

  1. Prepare the taco meat according to seasoning package directions and let simmer until ready to serve.
  2. Shred the lettuce and dice the vegetables.
  3. I like to put out all the ingredients in separate bowls and let each person mix their own salad.
  4. Start with a bed of shredded lettuce, add vegetables. Top with the hot meat, then the cheese. A dollop of sour cream goes on top and surround with corn chips.

You don’t have to be sick to benefit from a salt bath. It is cleansing and health-building for anyone. Bathing with Himalayan bath salts stimulates circulation, hydrates the skin, increases moisture retention, promotes cellular regeneration, detoxifies the skin, and helps heal dry, scaling, irritated skin. Salt water bathing reduces inflammation of the muscles and joints, relaxes muscles and relieves pain and soreness.

Bathing in seawater (and natural salt solutions) has a long history. Almost 500 years before the birth of Christ, Hippocrates, who is called the Father of Medicine, noticed fishermen who had injured their hands soaking their hands in seawater. They seemed to have few infections or complications from their injuries after the salt soaks. So Hippocrates encouraged his patients to bathe in warmed seawater in a treatment called thalassotherapy (in Greek, thalassa means sea). This kind of bath encourages a release of toxins between the blood and the water and a restoration of mineral balance in the blood.

In a 1982 study in Israel, researchers found that soaking in salt baths got relief from pain and had greater mobility after the treatments. Another study established relief from osteoarthritis and tendonitis. Yet another demonstrated relief from itching, problems with sleep, and skin scaling. Patients with recurrent infections have turned their health around with regular salt bathing. Research has documented relief from poison ivy, poison oak, insect bites, and wounds of various kinds.

Salt bathing works partly because natural mineral salts restore mineral balance via the skin. Medical research has long established absorption of medicinal factors through the skin. Natural salt contains many minerals, including magnesium, which helps the nervous system, relieves stress, and can relieve water retention. It also helps bring about a healthy calcium balance, which strengthens bones and nails. The salt also contains potassium, which you need for your blood after exercise, and which you need for moist, healthy skin and all-over energy. Bromides in the salt heal and relax your muscles. And of course you need the sodium for healthy immune system as well as for appropriate fluid balance in your body.

While salt bathing is relaxing and healing, it can also be challenging to your circulatory system because you are cleansing while in the bath. Therefore if you have a weak heart or other heart problems, consult a doctor before taking salt baths.

Refinancing Your Home When You Have Imperfect or Damaged Credit

Many homeowners choose to refinance their homes to obtain a lower interest rate or to utilize the equity in their home. If your credit is damaged, however, this process can be fraught with pitfalls. It is imperative that you understand the basics of refinancing a home when you have imperfect credit.

Should I Refinance?

Borrowers who already have loans with a non-prime lender (a lender who specializes in loans for customers with damaged credit) are constantly bombarded with refinance offers from other non-prime lenders. This does not necessarily mean that refinancing is in your best interest. You must carefully evaluate the costs associated with the refinance versus your actual savings per month. In addition, if closing costs are to be financed you must consider that you are lessening the equity in your home with a higher mortgage balance. Unless the monthly savings are significant and the debts being paid off sensible, you may be better off with the mortgage you have.

Evaluating the Options

Once you have carefully analyzed the numbers and decided that refinancing makes sense, you must evaluate the different refinance options to choose the best loan. Damaged credit means that you will pay a higher interest rate than someone with perfect credit, but careful shopping can insure that you get the best value. You want to compare not only interest rates, but the total cost of the loan. Lender fees can vary widely. Never allow the mortgage consultant to “sell payment.” Insist upon receiving a Good Faith Estimate that lists specific charges - not a range of costs for each item. This will allow you to compare different lender costs to determine which loan is best.

Refinancing your home can be a sensible idea even if you have damaged credit. Taking the time to shop for the best rate and closing cost package insures that you make a smart financial decision.
