All marketing campaigns need the same four P’s to be successful: Product, Price, Promotion and Place (Distribution). Who is your target market for anti-aging skin care products? People who want to look younger. Who is the target audience for laundry detergent? The person deciding what laundry detergent to buy is normally the one doing the majority of the laundry (want to or not).

1) Target your marketing effort to those who want your product or services, not those who need them. Learning about the color personalities in this FREE copy of “Success In 10 Steps” will teach you how to talk to people in a way that meets their needs.

2) Realize some people are satisfied where they are in life. You can’t help them. Just move on. I know. I don’t understand it either, but it is true.

3) If you have to “sell” to your prospect to get them in your network marketing opportunity or on your product, you WILL have to “sell” them each and every month afterwards. Let them go. Move on to help someone who wants what you have to offer.

4) You may not be the right person to reach them. It is better to wait for your target market. You can build a solid business relationship with the right person. If it isn’t right, it won’t work in the end.

I personally sponsored a lady with a self-proclaimed successful record in her former network marketing opportunity. It did not take me long to realize I spent all my time trying to spur her into some sort of action. She in turn, wanted to attend trainings, but never acted on any portion of the business opportunity. She was always too busy in her personal life to act on the business building tasks. She appeared to be a great prospect, but it would have been better for me to miss out altogether on that opportunity. Some people enjoy talking about building a business, but will never act on it.

Is your prospect for your MLM business someone who wants what you are offering or do they need it? Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish the difference. It doesn’t matter if you think they need it and should want it; what do they think?

The hardest thing to learn in the MLM business is that everyone who needs a product doesn’t necessarily want it. I would personally exercise, diet, and try whatever within reason to lose five pounds. If I would do that, doesn’t it stand to reason, from my perspective at least, that someone who needs to lose 150 pounds would do the same? It did seem logical to me when I first entered the network-marketing arena. This logic is does not hold true.

A person must want to achieve a goal, not just need to achieve a goal. Owning a MLM business is just like any other business; your family and friends may not be your target market. Defining your marketing plan and activities to attract only your target market audience will build your MLM business.

Are you having a job, however not loving it? Or are you out of job and all you have is your camera? Photography these days are becoming a huge trend, everybody’s mum and dad, grandson and granddaughters, are taking pictures for their everyday photo album collection.

You see, though many people have been to Niagara Falls, or even had a postcard of Niagara Falls, one would still love to go there and take their own pictures. My point is, everyone has their angle of views though looking at the same scene. You might love the whole sight of Niagara Falls and its water flowing down, however the person next to you might like the calm but rushing water before the waterfall. Some will even be in awe of the amount of water that is poured down, and some would rather go to the foot of Niagara Falls to photograph the sprinkle mist of the splashing water.

Would you believe if I tell you that your creativity is unique to your self and no one can reproduce what you could do. And I stand by that, to say that everyone can sell their pictures of that beautiful scene for a hundred bucks. One has just got to be unique, creative, and have a good eye to capture the moment, then one can be certain to get jobs in photography.

I love to take pictures, however I am no means a professional photographer. I make friends by writing articles for them and some of them are professional photographers. Their stories are amazing, for instance one of them stumble upon his creativity by going on a vacation trip. The pictures he took from his vacation trip proved to be of very nice angle, he knows how to adjust the color, contrast, white balance and focus until he create that a unique kind of photo shooting. It goes without saying, that he soon quit his job and started a photo shot center.

A computer friend of mine, doesn’t have much skills in photography, however he took the photos from his amateur shots, giving them a little touch up on his computer with his photo editing skills and software. The end results were stunning looking pictures, much better looking than the originals!

If photography is your passion, you could do freelance jobs in photography for companies who needs lots of pictures. Or you could do your own websites of galleries filled with pictures from your everyday life and share your experience with people who are interested in what you do. Pictures can speak a thousand words, and I hope that brings you a thousand bucks.

There are some general principles that need to be considered in any web design. Web design is an art. Any art is going to have a variety of styles. There will be no style that is perfect or that is going to appeal to everyone. What is important is to understand and define your style and to match it to the type of website that is being designed. A Mortgage website and the website that promotes a hard rock band are going to have a different style. This is common sense. A Mortgage is a serious investment, and people involved with them are not going to be impressed with flashy or comic websites. This is why the overall style needs to be matched to the purpose of the site.

Another principle of effective web design when a potential customer is going to be viewing the site is ease of use. If a website is unclear and hard to navigate, the average user will simply go elsewhere. It is not likely that many will invest much time in trying to figure out what you are trying to say, or how to get the information they are seeking. Ease of navigation is essential to any commercial website.

People seeking mortgages are not also studying foreign languages. Make sure that your website is not presenting information in one. It is important to carefully explain terms that might be unique to the mortgage field and unclear to an inexperienced visitor to the site. When a visitor is talking to a mortgage broker face to face, he answers only the questions he is asked. Online, this can’t be done. Every possible question must be anticipated and answered in advance. FAQ links are understood by the majority of internet users and are essential for the site. Information is the key to successful mortgage broker websites.

It is also necessary to consider search engine optimization in your web design. It does not really matter, ultimately, how well designed any site happens to be if no one ever views it. Contact information is equally important. It will do no good to have millions of hits on a site if no of them are converted into basic customer contacts or leads. Appropriate overall style, easy of navigation, clear and abundant information, search engine optimization, and good contact information are the keys to any web design.

Tips on Dealing With Women

Knowing how to deal with women is one of the most important life skills anyone can have these days.

Here’s a list of what NOT to do with women EVER.

1) Do not fight with her. Fighting always creates tension and kills attraction. Fighting with a woman is useless. Even if you win the argument, you will still lose the war.

2) Do not try to use logic to show her why she should come be with you. Attraction and sexuality is based on feelings, not logic. No matter how brilliant your logic is, she’s still going to leave you, with women logic does not win you anything but the door.

3) Do not reassure any woman that you will change, that old things will be “different from now on”. It’s like trying to it’s a sign that you are conforming to what you believe to be her view of you. You will loose her and loose your self in the process.

4) Do not keep telling her you love her. She won’t care. All a woman cares about is how much she loves you…not the other way around!)

5) Do not beg her to come back. The more you beg, the more she will ignore you.

6) Do not try to make her feel guilty about leaving you. (Examples: “I can’t work without you.” and “Don’t break up with me during exam period…”) It won’t work. It will only make her dread being with you even more.

7) Do not act depressed so they will feel bad for you. Sympathy does not equal attraction!

8) Do not talk to her friends to win their support. All she cares is how SHE feels about you. Even if her friends love you, they can’t make her love you forever. External pressure never lasts longer. If your girl decides to stay with you, her motivation has to come from within.

9) Do not spend money on gifts and flowers for her. You can’t buy her heart back with money. There is nothing more expensive then cheap woman.

10) Do not push her into getting back with you. The more
you push, the more she will pull away.

Here is a list of what to DO with women
1) COMPLIMENT her whenever you feel she looks her best, smells her best, feels her best and especially feels her worst. Because women are junkies for compliments. You keep feeding them compliments and they will keep coming back. And always stagger compliments because you need to keep the suspense when the compliments are coming. This is really important, this is how dogs and dolphins are trained, works great for women too. Don’t forget to compliment details, hands, jewelry, and clothing.

2) Try and do something she has never done before. Something new and exciting. Adventure is something women look for in men. Keep her wondering what you will do.

3) Stay mysterious. Women get bored if they know everything about you. Be unpredictable at all times. Never let her know what your feelings are about her. Let her write her own fantasies because it will be much greater than anything you try to instill.

4) Always look and smell your best, no matter where you go and what you do. Women love to smell cologne on a man, it reminds them of you whenever they smell that same cologne. Smell is primal and all the politically correct media hype cannot erase 3.9 billion years of evolution.

5) Always be fun. Most guys are morose and depressed. Everybody always wants to be where the fun is.

6) Talk about your family and friends. Women love to know you are a caring, considerate, loving guy.

7) Make her feel like she’s the most important person when you are with her. Don’t give her too much confidence; just make sure she feels that she is the center of attention when you are with her.

8) Look in her eyes whenever you talk to her. When men look away women look at it as they are afraid, and unsure of themselves. Let her know that you are confident. A study done on cult leaders there was one common denominator found among all the cult leaders including Charles Manson is they always smile.

9) Hold her hand, as much as you can. It makes a woman feel that you title her as your girl. They enjoy it and feel that you are in control. Women cannot handle being in control of a relationship, date, or encounter. You must take control.

10) Always have a plan. Never leave anything up to her or up in the air. Women get bored easily.

As a college student, you know that books and tuition add up quickly and can leave little additional money to be used on an automobile. Being a full time student is demanding and at times it leaves little additional time to find a lender that will be the source of a student car loan. Having a car is a necessity that most college students have difficulties landing. Most lenders are not taking auto loan applications for college students since they generally do not have a substantial income and a lack of credit.

There are several steps to take as a college student to get a student auto loan. The first is to find a lender that can cover your high risk. Students are very busy getting through classes and need to work with lenders that will save them time, money and limit the amount of credit pulls on their young credit report. Secondly, being honest with themselves about the car that you can afford while attending class and working a part time job is very important. Most lenders will not even think of financing a student after they review an auto loan application and find out your information might not be what you claim it is. Honesty is the only path when working with a lender on a student car loan. Fully indulging your status and income will bring you closer to a student car loan then trying to pull a quick one on the lender.

As previously mentioned, as a student you should purchase a car that is affordable with your limited income. Having a huge car payment to worry about is the least of your worries, when all that an automobile needs to do is get you from point A to point B. Also it is best to write down a list of all the additional expenses that come along with owning a new car, truck or SUV while attending a university or college:

* Car Loan Payment
* Car Insurance (Insurance rates for students is the higher than any other age group)
* Fuel
* Car Warranty (make sure to have a warranty just in case a car breaks down)
* Car Maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, etc.)
* Parking Fees
* Upgrades (Stereo, Rims, Engine modifications)

Use DRIVERCREDIT’s car loan calculator to help in finding the amount that you can afford on your new car. It is also recommend that you get a credit report so that you are prepared when working with the lender. Having your credit score will protect you from lenders that are looking for “uneducated” buyers.

Americans are far more socially isolated today than they were two decades ago, and a sharply growing number of people say they have no one in whom they can confide, according to a comprehensive new evaluation of the decline of social ties in the United States.

A quarter of Americans say they have no one with whom they can discuss personal troubles, more than double the number who were similarly isolated in 1985. Overall, the number of people Americans have in their closest circle of confidants has dropped from around three to about zero.

This is an increasingly fragmented America, where intimate social ties — once seen as an integral part of daily life and associated with a host of psychological and civic benefits — are shrinking or nonexistent. In bad times, far more people suffer alone.

That image of people on roofs after Katrina resonates with me, because those people did not know someone with a car. There really is less of a safety net of close friends and confidants.”

If close social relationships support people in the same way that beams hold up buildings, more and more Americans appear to be dependent on a single beam.

Compared with 1980’s, nearly 80 percent more people in 2007 reported that their spouse is the only person they can confide in. But if people face trouble in that relationship, or if a spouse falls sick that means these people have no one to turn to for help.

We know these close ties are what people depend on in bad times,” she said. “We’re not saying people are completely isolated. They may have 600 friends on Myspace.com [a popular networking Web site] and e-mail 25 people a day, but they are not discussing matters that are personally important.

My research is based on a high-quality random survey of nearly 1,500 Americans. Telephone surveys miss people who are not home, but the General Social Survey, funded by the National Science Foundation, has a high response rate and conducts detailed face-to-face interviews, in which respondents are pressed to confirm they mean what they say.

Whereas nearly three-quarters of people in 1985 reported they had a friend in whom they could confide and count on, only half in 2004 said they could count on such support and in 2007 almost no one. The number of people who said they counted a neighbor as a confidant dropped by more than half, from about 19 percent to less than one percent.

I smoked my first cigarette when I was eleven years old. By the time I was thirteen I was smoking a pack a day. When I began to seriously attempt to quit in my early twenties I was often puffing down two packs, or nearly 40 cigarettes a day!

There were many unsuccessful attempts to stop smoking. I just didn’t seem to have the will power, the confidence, the strength to kick the habit. Living in New York City at the time, I watched joggers in Central Park with a lump in my throat. Running seemed like something I would never be able to do. These runners seemed to possess such freedom, something missing from my life as I lay prisoner to the cigarettes and habits I could not seem to overcome.

In my early twenties, not only was I struggling with the addiction to cigarettes, but I was also struggling with what to do with my life. I had a couple of bartending and secretarial jobs but with nothing more than an Associate’s degree, it didn’t seem likely a big career lay before me. Feeling lost, and often confused, an Aunt of mine suggested exploring the field of Physical Therapy. Her friend had just completed his degree. He liked the work and jobs seemed plentiful. I knew nothing about physical therapy. As I began to investigate the possibility, I was, little by little, taking the steps that would change the course of my life forever.

I went back to school to meet the academic requirements. I started volunteering at different hospitals and facilities to get a feel for the work. Once I decided on the path, my commitment had been made. Yet I felt hypocritical. How could I step into this field of health and wellness and be a smoker? How could I inspire others to take care of their bodies when I was sucking down cigarettes like candy?

Running was my way out. So I started, slowly and painfully. I didn’t quit right away. When I first started running I was still smoking. The first thing I did when I finished a run was light up. This went on for weeks, a little running, a lot of smoking. Finally the moment of truth arrived. This conflict of running and smoking was living in my body and mind. I could not do both. A choice had to be made.

I chose running.

Quitting was still hard. And my first real success at quitting didn’t put the habit behind me completely just yet. I applied to Physical Therapy schools and didn’t get in the first year. After the initial rejections there was a ray of hope. I made the waiting list at Stony Brook University on Long Island. Even though I did not get in that first year I was more determined than ever to reapply. I had invested everything in this decision to be a physical therapist, including my health. So I retook classes and upped my efforts.

I was accepted to Stony Brook University the second time around. The summer before university started, I lived on Fire Island cleaning houses. I was running every day on the beach and was up to 6 miles. I felt so strong. I even placed second overall for women in a 10K race at the end of the summer.

My dirty secret was I had started smoking again. I was so embarrassed. Here I was running, this supposed health nut now. Everyone I knew thought I kicked the habit but I would sneak back to the house from the beach to smoke a cigarette. I was so afraid of all the changes and uncertainty before me; moving to Stony Brook, starting school, being a bit older than most students, feeling insecure about my capabilities, that the cigarettes provided a comfort, a solace that only a smoker, or addict could understand. What would people think of me if they really knew how scared and insecure I was? I was so afraid of appearing weak.

There were a number of stops and starts before completely leaving cigarettes behind me and running the New York City Marathon helped me to never look back.

I decided to run the marathon in February of 1990.

The start of my training in February, until the actual race in November, took nine months. This period of gestation saw myself emerge from one who felt powerless in their addiction to cigarettes to one who had the power to do anything.

One of the biggest obstacles to training for the marathon was overcoming the resistance of my own mind. Of course the body needs conditioning to ready it for 26 miles but it was my mind that wanted to stop well before my body. I can’t do this anymore…enough….it hurts….I’m tired. Overcoming the resistance of my mind through training for the marathon has served me in so many aspects of my life.

Because no matter what we set out to do in life our mind will always get in the way of our growth and development. Our mind wants us to stay the way we are. Our mind wants us to feel safe and secure. There is nothing wrong with feeling safe and secure and certainly we need to feel safe and secure within our self to be able to venture into new territories.

But when we are attached to safety and security we become paralyzed to rise beyond the limitations that safety and security imposes on our life.

We need to develop our will in order to rise above the habits that limit us. For me running has been one of the most beneficial practices I have embarked on in my life and the New York City Marathon is one of its high points.

There were moments that felt like I couldn’t go on. Heading over the 59th Street Bridge on to 1st Avenue in Manhattan felt like climbing Mount Everest. You don’t realize how much of a climb a bridge is until you have run 15 miles to get there.

There were moments of inspiration. The streets of Brooklyn were full of crowds and music. Approaching 8 miles I heard the theme from Rocky playing. My heart pumped harder, my stride was stronger, I felt the power of running.

There were emotional moments. The race starts in Staten Island, 25,000 people running over the Verranzano Bridge. You can actually feel the bridge vibrating under your feet from the power generated by so many runners. At this point it is just you and the rest of the runners, each in their own race, with you yet against you in some way.

Heading into Bay Ridge Brooklyn the streets were so thick with people cheering, yelling and high fiving, it was incredible. I felt this overwhelming outpouring of love and support, especially in contrast to the relative silence of the bridge. I couldn’t hold back the tears. I was running in a sea of love and it felt beautiful.

There were moments of enlightenment. At twenty three miles, heading into Central Park for the last time, I knew I would finish the race but I had to stop for water before I could go any further. I suppose it is what people have called the wall. This was my first stop in the race. I had been taking water, pouring it into my body while still in motion. This time I had to stop before I could go any further. I drank water and started running again.
Shortly after that I saw my mother, brothers, sisters and their respective spouses. They were holding a banner high that read… KAREN, YOU DID IT! I still had three miles to go which at that point felt like it could have been another twenty-three. I didn’t want to disappoint them.

At twenty-four miles I went to a place I had never been to before. It was if everything within me; body, mind, heart and soul, shifted to some other inner gear. I was running….and it was effortless! EFFORTLESS! I had been running for three and a half hours now and I felt like I could have gone on forever. I was light, floating, higher than any substance has ever taken me. I rode that high for weeks.

And throughout the whole race I felt the love and support of my friends and family, cheering me on, in every borough, screaming for me as if I were some running star.

Those memories live within me forever. The accomplishment of running 26 miles is a reservoir of inspiration for me even 17 years later.

And I am still running, for over twenty years now. Although I never ran another marathon that moment still lives in me with inspiration and awe.

At 46 years old, there is no desire to run 26 miles again; at least not in one shot. I am grateful my body is still able to run, on the beach, in the woods, on the streets, in my travels. To be able to spend time outdoors, to breathe in fresh air and clear my mind serves me in all aspects of my life and is the blessing that running brings to my life.

I am grateful for the vehicle of my body that keeps on running.

Let’s face it - the dating game is rigged against men. Before a date, have you questioned yourself if the girl would end up liking you? Are you are going to get lucky? You are dating a girl in order to get the girl to like you. This article is going to show you just that - how to get a girl to like you so much that she will agree to go on subsequent dates with you, and possibly more.

In one sentence, how you get a girl to like you is to use communication and humor to attract them. True, women are naturally attracted to money and fame, but let’s analyze why it is so in the first place. Subconsciously, women take money and fame as a surrogate to a character which is interesting and intelligent, and therefore are genetically wired to be attracted to those with such attributes.

Therefore, if we look at a deeper level, if we could convey the same values (being interesting and intelligent), we would be able to get a girl to like you all the same, even though you are not rich or famous.

David DeAngelo (the famous dating guru who wrote the bestselling ebook “Double Your Dating”) once said, “It’s far better to ATTRACT a woman than to CHASE her. If a woman is attracted to you, half the game is over.”

Therefore, the correct mindset when using communication and humor to get a girl to like you is to aim to get a girl attracted to you rather than to chase her. First, by looking at what a girl wants (and giving that to her), you could get a girl to like you in no time.

Topping the list of what every girl wants is sense of humor. If you could get a girl to laugh, half of the battle is over. Further down the list is confidence, intelligence, leadership (or dominance), being adventurous, challenging and romantic. However, if there is one thing that you should work on that would get a girl to like you is your humor.

The key of using humor to attract a girl is to be challenging at the same time. This could be accomplished by not answering a girl directly when asked a question. For example, if a girl asks you if you are seeing other women, don’t say yes or no. Instead, say, “Yes, I do. In fact I meet up with my mom regularly for tea.” Deliberately look as if you misunderstood her question.

Girls would normally keep on testing you to see if you would relent to their requests. If you do comply, you would fail their tests. The answer therefore is to ‘pass the test’ by being challenging and humorous at the same time. Note that if you’re being challenging without being humorous, you’re just being a jerk.

In conclusion, it is fairly simple to get a girl to like you. Be challenging and use your sense of humor, and you would be able to attract the girl that you desire so effectively that it is almost magical.

In a recent discussion with an elite field of training experts many of the well-known authors, trainers and scientists had noticed a growing trend in the general population about the inability to lose body fat. Most of the experts first witnessed an increase in the number of guys and girls in high performance sport particularly bodybuilding that was not responding to traditional dieting and training protocols.

It seems no matter what these individuals did their bodies refused to drop the extra body fat. I had noticed a similar trend in some of clients who had been exposed to high levels of toxic substances, females who had given birth, and in individuals who consumed high levels of processed food.

To date it does seem that in large part the medical profession is blind to the seriousness and scope of Metabolic Damage, its causes and effects, there are always those few individuals who are able by experience, specialized knowledge, and integrated application of sound nutritional and training practices who can provide solutions.

I too came about the same observations of metabolic damage although from a slightly different route. I would also like to add that this topic is a vast and sometimes technical topic, and by no means can I illustrate everything you need to know about enzymes, metabolic damage, weakness, or deficiency.

For a detailed account of how enzymes work, why we need them, and why it’s so hard to obtain them in modern society I strongly advise reading Dr. Howell’s book: “Enzyme Nutrition”.

Dr. Howell was the leading pioneer in enzymes for almost 70 years before his death around the age of 100. His work lives on through the researchers that work for the company he founded. I will talk more about that in a future post. History often leaves clues I will first explain how I came about the discovery of enzyme therapy.

A Growing Trend

I have been in around the health and fitness community for about 20 years, but in the last few years I have noticed distinct trends in clients who were coming to see me. The first group I observed was high performance athletes who recently completed a major competition or long season of training.

These athletes for the most part had been training for most of their lives and then suddenly experienced a significant drop in performance, motivation, and experienced more injuries, body fat increases, and reduced speed, and endurance.

The second group I have encountered were women who had recently given birth. These women, many who were tremendous athletes prior to becoming pregnant suddenly began showing extreme fatigue, large gains in body fat, coupled with digestive disorders after giving birth.

The third group were individuals both men and women who had followed extreme “nutrient” and calorie deficient diets, particularly followers of the Dr. Bernstein diets, as well as people who had come off the Atkins diet, individuals with a history of eating disorders, and individuals who had experience challenges with brain chemistry.

All of these individuals had gained tremendous amounts of weight in short periods of time and had become to resistant to proven regimens of weight loss. Now most of these clients were not high performance athletes yet they all showed similar symptoms; constipation, low energy, depressed immune function, emotional discord, sluggish metabolisms and digestive disorders.

Many of these individuals had been following exercise and diet programs for years but suddenly there bodies just stopped responding.

The most startling group in my range of investigations was a group of extremely fit women, who after pregnancy experienced a host of metabolic disorders resulting in numerous complications.

Having experienced the rigors of extensive contest dieting myself, and the accompanying symptoms, I have continually sought out ways or solutions to improve my own performance.

Since my own experiences, although not as severe, were similar to what my clients were experiencing I sought to find a way to overcome these challenges and provide a solution to the conditions leading to “metabolic damage”.

The Mystery Cause of Fatigue And The Low Calorie Diet

I have never bought into the belief that just because someone is on a low calorie diet they should feel fatigued, tired, listless and all the side effects reported by individuals currently undergoing such regimens. Like many others in my field, I felt there was some other factor involved that was not being accounted for, but this factor remained a mystery to me for over 10 years.

I retired from competing to devote more time to pursue this avenue as it had become so widespread in the individuals that were coming to see me from all different age groups, sexes, and backgrounds. I started investigating digestive functioning, metabolism, as well as patterns of food production throughout history.

After pouring over research, speaking with experts in the nutrition field, and the reviewing the latest medical journals on diet: nutrition, and metabolism, I was lead to one key individual. His name was Dr. Michael O’Brien.

Medical Genius Rebuilds Dying Nutrition Expert In 8 Weeks

Now Dr. O’Brien is more than a remarkable individual. Accolades, testimonials, or descriptions, would not begin to quantify or qualify the man or the wisdom he possesses. First off he was the former director of two medical clinics in California, he is also a master nutrition formulator for over 50 years.

What’s more remarkable is that he successfully treated himself of cirrhosis of the liver, as well as “terminal” colon cancer using enzymes, probiotics, and a patented amino acid formulation he designed.

Dr. O’Brien also was the man behind literally thousands of recoveries from terminal diseases including: cancer, heart disease, lupus, AIDS and virtually every other terminal illness in existence. He was also the doctor who was responsible for orchestrating the complete and astounding recovery of legendary health expert Dr. Bernhard Jensen (See Chapter 13 “Come Alive” by Bernhard Jensen).

I had the good fortune of attending two professional lectures held by Dr. O’Brien. It’s hard to describe the sheer impact that seeing Dr. O’Brien in person has on someone. First off although he is close to 90 years old he has almost no wrinkles in his skin. His countenance radiates light, his eyes sparkle, his actions are quick and fluid and his mind is extremely sharp.

In fact I have never been in the presence of ANYONE who radiated so much life, wisdom and compassion. In other words he practices what he preaches, which in today’s world of false “gurus” is a rare occurrence.

Dr. O’Brien illustrates that his lifetime work, like aforementioned Dr. Howell, has concluded that all diseases are actually “Symptoms of Deficiency”. In the course of his lectures, he provides a wealth of support to back up his claim. He also has proven that when an individual treats the deficiency the “symptoms” stop and the “disease” is cured. It is also Dr. O’Brien’s belief that there are “No Incurable diseases, just incurable people.”

Now I know you might be asking, “What does this have to do with Metabolic Damage?”

Metabolic Damage, Obesity, And Enzyme Deficiency

In fact I asked Dr. O’Brien this very question myself. He quickly stated and presented a wealth of information both research and anecdotal that the primary cause of deficiency is a lack of Enzymes present in our food supply. While this is not the only factor it is most definitely the prime factor and perhaps the easiest to correct.

Dr. O’Brien stated that he had first come to this discovery after reading a book by Dr. Howell on Enzymes when he himself was on his deathbed. He then applied a series of aggressive enzyme treatments to himself over the period of 16 months and cured himself of terminal liver disease. Dr. Howell explains the reasons and causes of Enzyme deficiency in his book Enzyme Nutrition but I will try to summarize.

Enzyme deficiency over time puts tremendous strain in the human digestive system as the body must use “Metabolic Enzymes” to digest Enzyme Deficient food. This drain on metabolic and systemic enzymes over time, leads to most of the symptoms of disease as well as the primary cause of the effects of what we call “Aging”.

How Food Supple Became Enzyme Deficient

Since World War II there has been an extensive use of chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers used in the growing of our food supply, coupled by a leaching out of minerals in the soil. In all of these cases, the plants grown give up their enzymes in order to accommodate the compromised growing conditions. The result is that the enzyme content of our food is extremely diminished from that of food production a hundred years ago (For example: In 1900 wheat was 90 percent protein, today its just 9 percent, similar reports are available in nutrient depletion in the Medicine Today Journal, April, 2002).

The use of pharmaceuticals on livestock also contributes to enzyme damage in the animals human consume. Other factors that contribute to enzyme destruction include food cooked at temperatures above 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat destroys any enzymes present in the food you consume.

Irradiation of vegetables and fruits, modern food processing, depleted soil, and the widespread use of chemicals, drugs, and preservatives all contribute to an absence of food enzymes in our diets. These combined factors contribute to considerably higher demands on the metabolic systems of humans. In other words there is a host of factors that are contributing to the problem not “a singular cause” as most of us are conditioned to believe.

Your Body Produces Enzymes… But Is It Enough?

Now every doctor will tell you that the body produces its own enzymes in sufficient amounts to digest your food. What the doctor will not tell you, as he most likely is not aware, is the fact that no species on earth was designed to exist on enzyme deficient diets.

Dr. Howell’s research demonstrates clearly that in every single species he tested that was fed an enzyme deficient diet, developed metabolic disorders such as extreme weight gain, Type II diabetes and a host of other conditions including pre-mature death (see studies in Dr. Howell’s Food Enzymes and Longevity).

Numerous other researchers in the field duplicated these studies and are cited in Howell’s books. What’s worse is that these enzyme deficiencies were passed on to subsequent generations.

In all cases, species fed enzyme deficient diets for a period of three generations developed extensive genetic disorders, such as inability to reproduce, extensive and unusual behavioral disorders, development and acceleration of various diseases, as well as severe metabolic dysfunction (see the classical study done by F.M. Pottenger’s over 10 years on 900 cats).

Again I am summarizing a considerable amount of information and I strongly advise reading Howell’s books to get the Full Picture.

Enzyme Deficiency And The Diabetes Connection

Research has also shown that the Pancreas of humans has shown to be three times the “normal” size in bodyweight comparisons between species. Interestingly this exact pathology was demonstrated in Dr. Howell’s experiments on animals fed enzyme deficient diets.

In all cases, Type II diabetes, excessive weight gain, as well as other metabolic and genetic disorders became prominent in the “Enzyme deficient” populations compared to the control group, even when the animals were fed exactly the same amount of calories. What’s interesting is the result coincides with observations I, and my colleagues have made in relation to our clients.

It became apparent to me that the Enzyme deficiency in the food supply had become so common and widespread for so long it isn’t even considered a factor by the medical community. Keep in mind that FDA testing and grading of food does not include testing for the presence of enzymes. So there is no pressure for farmers to produce high nutrient content food.

The classification of food is primarily determined by the “look” of the food, and the weight of food. Another factor contributing to the Enzyme oversight is the fact most doctors have only a few credit hours of basic nutrition and are not really qualified to make nutritional assessments of their patients. The medical field is primarily concerned with the treatment of disease not disease prevention. “Big Difference” so pointing fingers does little good.

Don’t Blame The Doctors!

Doctors have a tough enough job as it is and discovering the cause of Metabolic Damage in general is not high on their priority list considering the current challenges facing most medical practitioners today.

While there seems to be a correlation in food enzyme deficiency and metabolic damage or the conditions leading to the onset of disease, I needed more information to support the case. This is where Dr. O’Brien’s experience and expertise completely obliterated any rational objections one might have against the Food Enzyme Concept as presented by Dr. Howell.

Dr. O’Brien developed a regimen, which included enzyme therapy to control, reverse and eliminate virtually every major disease known to mankind. The regimen was relatively static and only varied in the dosage the individual could take based on the current state of his patient, the economics of the individual, and the speed at which the person desired their conditions to cease.

Deeper Down The Enzyme Rabbit Hole

I personally subjected myself, and a group of 12 individuals of different ages, backgrounds, sexes and conditions to Dr. O’Brien’s regimen. All 12 of the subjects experienced radical improvements in metabolism, body fat reduction, improved muscle building, recovery, digestive, and eliminative functioning. We all experienced positive changes in dietary selection, emotional well being as well as improved cognitive function.

O’Brien states that in most cases 4-6 months of aggressive enzyme therapy was enough to eliminate the “symptoms of deficiency” and “cure” almost any symptoms of metabolic dysfunction. In some patients he stated 1 year to 18 months was required to completely eradicate serious states of metabolic dysfunction, such as those conditions present in advanced conditions of AIDS, Lupus etc.

Now Dr. O’Brien’s interest was primarily in the treatment and prevention of disease as well as the field of longevity but I knew that his discoveries could be applied to the area of athletic performance including more mainstream goals such as weight loss.

I speculated that if athletes and ordinary people began supplementing their diets with digestive enzymes it would improve performance by reducing the drain of metabolic enzymes to digest food thereby correcting “metabolic damage” in the population at large.

Treatment dosages were the primary limiting factor in how fast one recovered from any condition or how fast their performance improved in a given athletic endeavor. Unlike traditional therapy with drugs, enzyme dosages were not limited as side effects such as the breaking of the GI barrier did not occur in patients on dosages as high as 1000 capsules a day (this is Extreme to say the least).

Finding The Right Formula

Since Dr. O’Brien’s company was not able to provide me with his Enzyme formulation as he could not provide enough enzymes to meet his current demand I immediately set about formulating an Enzyme Product geared particularly for athletes. In other words, people who followed dietary and training practices such as bodybuilders, fitness competitors, and every one else involved in “cosmetic training”.

What I learned will come as no surprise to anyone else on the inside of the supplement industry is that most products sold commercially on the market were of little to no value. The extreme costs of developing and stabilizing enzymes that would work in the broad PH range experienced throughout the gastro-intestinal tract is considerable.

The sheer economics of the situation had reduced most supplement companies to produce cheap enzymes that do not work in order to make viable profit margins. These enzymes are often animal based, or come enterically coated, and can be bought for a fraction of the cost of effective enzymes. This is one reason why enzyme therapy has traditionally been reserved for pharmaceutical companies or for individuals with extensive resources to afford private treatment.

Undaunted by the costs of development I engaged the expert formulators at Dr. Howell’s company to produce an enzyme product designed for the dietary and training demands of myself, my personal clients, and athletes in general.

After several months we came up with a new product that included a proprietary blend of Enzymes, precursors and stabilizers specifically designed and formulated for athletes interested in increasing muscle mass and decreasing body fat.

Tried, Tested And True

We then spent 6 months testing it out on a small group of bodybuilders’ age ranges of 15 to 72. The results have been encouraging to say the least.

Recently, I met with other industry professionals and discussed my findings and positive experiences with Enzyme Therapy as well as the potential solution to individuals suffering from metabolic damage. To say the least many of my peers are overjoyed and excited about what could be the greatest nutritional breakthrough of the last century.

I will also be making a small amount of my product available to individuals on my website who wish to undergo a regimen of Enzyme Therapy. This protocol is rather intense and expensive but its results are quite impressive. Our team is confident that the protocol we have developed can improve and alleviate the symptoms of “metabolic damage” and/or to improve individual athletic performance and health.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and information with you as well as answering your questions on this fascinating and exciting field.

A quick look at any of the literature will tell you that black men are more likely to die from prostate cancer than white men and most statistics agree that the risk for African Americans is about two and a half times that of white Americans. But are these statistics misleading?

It’s well known that there are variations in disease rates between different countries and that, for example, America has the highest rate of obesity of any country and Japan the lowest. But this has very little to do with the passport you hold or the color of your skin and a great deal to with your diet. So why is it that African Americans and white Americans differ so widely when it comes to prostate cancer deaths since they are both members of a common society?

Well, the answer might just lie in a study conducted recently involving a mixed race group of 337 men between the ages of 40 and 75 from North Carolina who were diagnosed between 2001 and 2004 with prostate cancer.

The study looked at a variety of factors including family history, screening history, symptoms, treatment, the presence of other medical problems, access to medical care, the men’s relationships with their doctors, their attitudes towards health care and health care providers, employment, income and whether or not the men carried health insurance.

The study found that more than half of the black men earned under $40,000 a year compared to less than a quarter of white men who fell into this income group. The study also found that black men were more likely to have blue-collar jobs, to be educated to a lower standard, to have additional medical conditions and to be unemployed as the result of illness or disability.

The study also found that only three percent of white men had no medical insurance, compared to eight percent of black men and that one-third of white men has some form of supplemental Medicare coverage, compared to seventeen percent of black men.

Perhaps most interestingly the study reported that both black men and white men were equally well informed about the risks posed by prostrate cancer and the need for treatment, but the black men demonstrated a greater sense of responsibility for their own health and were less likely to trust their doctors. Indeed many were suspicious of their doctors and felt that their decisions were more likely to be based on the cost of treatment, rather than on the needs of the patient.

On the important question of screening for the early detection of prostate cancer, black men were less likely to have regular check-ups, digital rectal examinations or PSA blood tests.

Putting all of the data together, it became clear that a significant different between the two groups lay in the lack of early detection in the case of black men resulting in no small part from the fact that they did not have as well established relationships with their doctors, had poor access to affordable and convenient care and lacked the necessary medical insurance.

So what does this mean in terms of the statistical difference when it comes to prostate cancer deaths between African Americans and white Americans? Well, although it’s difficult to put numbers to this study and further studies would be necessary to be certain, it would appear that much of the difference does not result from the fact that black men are more likely to contract prostate cancer but simply from the fact that they are more likely to die from prostate cancer because of its late detection.

Clearly the answer doesn’t lie in the disease itself but in society’s provision of healthcare.
