Writing is an artistic release. Cyberspace allows millions of pairs of eyes to review your words. The opportunity to express your opinion and send it clear across the world is the ultimate in free speech. With the privilege of public expression also comes the responsibility of choosing your words carefully. Speaking is less deliberate. Unless your words are recorded, you can rebound from a faux pas with either good humor, a silver tongue, or groveling for forgiveness. Unlike speaking, the written word can either be your badge of honor or the nail in your coffin.

Bad writing is like a reality television show: the first showing is bad enough, but the reruns are like recurring nightmares. Be careful what you write. In ninth grade, I was jotting down a note to my friend because the lecture in class was incredibly boring and I said so in those exact words. Before I knew it, the paper on which I was composing was snatched from my desk by the teacher who recited its contents to the class. That episode left some scar tissue on my psyche. Apparently, time heals wounds because I forgot and committed a worse breach of trust later in life when a relative e-mailed me asking me a very personal question about another family member. Once I typed in my unrestrained opinion and pushed the “send” button, my stomach sank from the sick feeling that overwhelmed me once I realized what I had done. “What was I thinking?” That was just it, I wasn’t thinking. My written words were out there. There was no retrieving them out of the mailbox. There was no rewrite. I felt naked and ashamed because my written response could be taken out of context and hurt someone badly.

Paper trails will catch the culprit every time. It may take time, but in the end, the bad guy is always caught. Embezzlers are stupid. Briefly, the thief gets away with his crime, but eventually, the gig is up. Authors should be wary of their craft, too. Publication is a permanent record. Language is a gift from God. No other species on earth has the ability to communicate in such a way that it can affect society as a whole or just one individual for the remainder of his life.

The next time you sit down to write your memoirs or simply to express your thoughts for a newspaper editorial, picture yourself explaining your writings to your beloved grandmother, your pastor, your children, or to Jesus.

Must be a mutation…) This is, though, a bit more advanced part of the whole idea for it requires that you use a web host where you would install the script in question.

The beauty of this idea lies also in that the buyer gets to download his ebook right after he made a payment to the seller Paypal account. No more waiting for the seller to wake up, have a cup of coffee, brush his teeth, stretch his back… None of these things at all. Now, you may wonder what the original seller has to gain by letting others resell his ebook for the full commission. Well, he gets to build a list of future buyers and he can also offer them some more expensive products in addition to the ebook via the so called one time offers (OTO). You, as an affiliate, share 50% of those extra profits!

If you would like to create your own ebooks and resell them through the script mentioned above, you need to get the ebook that started it all. To only resell the ebooks created by others, this is not necessary. For this, however, a Paypal account is needed. Then, all you need to do is buy some of those 7 dollar ebooks, resell them and keep watching your Paypal account grow. Ain’t life great or what?

When you use private money for real estate investing there are several clauses your lending agreements should never be without. One of those clauses is the “No Pre-Payment Penalty” clause. Here’s how it works.

When you borrow private money for real estate investing, you’re accomplishing a great deal. You’re protecting your credit, and maximizing your borrowing potential, as well as gaining access to a ready and flexible source of money.

However, with the changes that are taking place in corporate America, those days of security with JOB (Just Over Broke) has become almost non existent. Expecting to go to work and stay with a job for years is becoming harder to find let alone think about. With the downsizing, unstable economy, lack of job security and the list goes on, now you have more reason to look at change for yourself.

Even, if you are from an entrepreneurial family with hopes and dreams of scoring the big one, that too becomes fear based. What has happened to our American dreams? What has happened to the majority of the people? Have they settled for complacency or just getting by? What makes the successful person keep on dreaming and making life happen instead of life happening to them?

Having said all of that, how do you decide what to do? You know that you want to work at home and you want to have your freedom back. Now, this may seem very simple but it really is simple. Yes, get the paper and pencil out and start writing. Think about what gets you excited or what you come passionate about a topic or theme. There have been too many people who are stuck in a rut doing things that they are just doing without any enthusiasm.

Write down as many things that you can think about and then put them in a priority of liking each one more then the other. Then take the top 3 of your likes and do some research, find out what it is going to take to start that idea/business. Find out what the competition is for the business model if any.

Now, after you have done some homework and decided, “Yeah, I can see myself liking this and working towards getting this started”. Then start the next step, of writing down your goals. Yes, this is a very necessary part of accomplishing any task. It has been noted in research, with people who have set goals they are absolutely likely to far surpass the people that have no goals.

After the goals, continue the search to learn all you can about starting your own home business. There are so many resources on that topic it could in itself overwhelm you. But, keep it simple and just follow the steps that are required on a consistent basis. If you are now working full time, commit an hour or two an evening to working on one section of the project. Yes, it may take awhile to get your business running; however, if you do not start towards your goals you will be in the same place you are now.

To leave you with a simple strategy, become an entrepreneur with improving yourself and then find some type of a problem in the area that your are passionate about. Take a close look at what people are asking questions or seeking some type of solution. Then you develop a solution that is unique and has value. Craft your offer and develop your business with specific marketing strategies that drives the benefits..benefits..benefits of the system.

For April Fools, head for the Anza Borrego Desert in California to spin your wildest yarn. Tell a tale of Pegleg Smith, a colorful desert character. Tell a tale of found gold, only to lose it again. Tell a tale that would make Pegleg proud.

Pegleg Smith was a mountain man, guide, horse thief and liar. In the mid-1800s, he and another man were taking a bunch of furs across the desert from the Colorado River to sell in Los Angeles. They were getting low on water and Pegleg, so called because he had a wooden leg, climbed to the top of a butte looking for water. It was one of three buttes in the area.

While on top of the butte, he gathered some black pebbles and stuck them in his pocket.

And so begins the tale of the legendary Pegleg Smith Lost Mine.

When Pegleg got to Los Angeles, he learned the black pebbles were gold nuggets, covered with a dark “desert varnish”. He managed to put together a few expeditions to go back to the spot for more gold, but could never find it again.

He was willing to tell anyone who would listen (for a shot of whiskey or two) about his rich gold mine. He sold maps to it. He sold claims to it. And prospectors headed out to the desert to find the butte covered with gold nuggets.

Supposedly, more people have searched for the Lost Pegleg Smith Mine more than any other lost mine. If anyone has found it, they’re not saying.

That is, unless they’re at the Pegleg Monument the first Saturday in April, participating in the Pegleg Smith Liars’ Contest.

Anyone can enter the contest. The only requirements are the fabricated fable has to either be about Pegleg Smith or searching for gold. Costumes and props add to the story.

The contest begins at sundown. It is free to watch. Bring blankets, a lawn chair and something warm to drink and sit back and enjoy the story telling.

We all enjoy different types of scents and associate them with a variety of things. For example, we often link lavender to relaxation.
