Fibromyalgia Symptom Relief Through Cupping Therapy

What is cupping therapy and does it work for fibromyalgia? If you suffer from the devastating condition of fibromyalgia, you may wonder this exact question. There are medical treatments for fibromyalgia and there are alternative therapies for fibromyalgia. You, as a sufferer, probably have tried a few of both trying to find relief from your symptoms. Cupping therapy falls underneath the alternative therapies.

Alternative therapies are becoming more and more popular for fibromyalgia sufferers. Why? Because they work. And the good news is that most of the alternative therapies don’t come along with the nasty side effects that a lot of the conventional medications do. But it is important that you do your research as there are a lot of hoky alternative therapies out there as well. So, let’s take a look at what you need to know about cupping therapy so you know if it is a viable option for you.

So what is cupping therapy? Well, like a lot of our alternative therapies it comes from the Chinese. Surprised, of course not, since this is where a majority of alternative therapies come from. Cupping involves applying glass cups, hence the name, to the skin in order to help your body rid itself of toxins, pain, and increase circulation. I know this sounds a little weird for us to grasp but so did acupuncture when it was first introduced to the West. With cupping each glass is placed on various spots on your body and acts as a vacuum through heat and are left on your body for about 15 minutes.

There are two main ways that cupping are used. The first is massage cupping and it entails the glass cups are moved in a massage like patter around the skin. The benefits of massage cupping is less sore joints and muscles. The second method of cupping is stationary cupping where the glass cups are left untouched and not moved at all during the session.

Sound a little weird? Well, a typical cupping session generally involves using glass cups, cotton balls, rubbing alcohol, candles and matches. So, let’s go through step by step and see how the session would play out. First, a cotton ball is soaked in alcohol and lit on fire, a vacuum is created inside the glass by the holding the cotton ball inside the cup. The heat causes the vacuum. Once this is done and there is suction the cotton ball is removed and the glass cup is placed to the trigger point on the skin. A typical session includes about 4 or 5 cups and sometimes 6 placed and left on the skin for no longer than 15 minutes.

Although this may sound a little weird and painful, it’s not. Usually the typical person undergoing a cupping session only feels a slight suction feeling where the cup is placed. You may have little red rings on your skin afterward but they will fade.

There are benefits to the Fibromyalgia patient who goes through these sessions. You will see a definite change in your relaxation and feel calm. Cupping helps to release the toxins from your body and promotes quicker healing time of muscles, joints and all the achiness we often feel when we suffer from fibromyalgia. You will also see improved flexibility in your muscles. Another benefit is reduced pain from trigger points and it can also help your anxiety level go down and help your depression.

Cupping is a safe treatment for fibromyalgia when it is done by someone who is qualified. Never try this by yourself at home. Find a qualified massage therapist or visit a holistic treatment center. Cupping can provide great benefits to you and help in your overall healing of the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

Italian Style Decorating Tips For A Fresh New Look

An Italian home is an inviting one. Italians are fans of people and the homes that they live in have a welcoming atmosphere. Creating that atmosphere in your own home is easy to do with a little paint, arrangement of furniture, and certain accessories.

Good cooking, company, and wine are at the heart of an Italian; therefore, your decorating efforts should start in the kitchen. Italian decorations for the kitchen are very popular, so you shouldn’t have a hard time locating them. There are paintings and other clever things such as representations of spaghetti or meatballs that can be hung on the walls. The olive, a staple of Italian foods, is represented on many serving trays or other functional pieces for the kitchen. If you choose one thing and build on it, soon you’ll have things all over your kitchen that scream Italian.

Somewhere within this kitchen or in a dining room there should be a wine rack and at least four wine glasses, but preferably more. Wine is in the hearts of most Italians. They are famous for their vineyards and their love for their wine is obvious. White or red does not matter, but wine is a part of the Italian culture, and makes a wonderful addition to an Italian style decorated home.

The walls of an Italian styled home should be colorful. Rich earthy tones immediately come to mind. The kinds of colors that you may find out on one of those vineyards in Italy or on the shores of the ocean are the types you should use. The walls should also include some type of texture. It may be painted texture created by using the sponging or ragging technique while painting or it may be actual texture created by either using stucco or mixing paint with some sort of textured material such as sand, but there should be texture. A decorative moulding between the tops of the walls and the ceiling would also be a nice touch in at least one room, preferably the dining room. This will enhance the decor as well as add more texture to the room if it’s lacking.

Another staple to the Italian culture would be that of fresh herbs. If you have a sunny windowsill, place some fresh herbs in terra cotta pots. Not only are they functional, but they are also fragrant. Their scent will waft throughout your home creating a smell that in pleasant and reminiscent of Italian cooking. If you purely want these plants for the decoration and have no intention of using fresh herbs in your cooking, many stores will sell fake pots with fake Italian herbs in them or you can buy the supplies from a craft store and make them. Either way, they will give you that Italian look and you won’t have to worry about watering them or trimming them down.

The Italian decorated home is one that has a lot in it. There is a lot of color and warmth. There is a nice family feel to this home. With a little effort, an Italian style home will be created for many generations to enjoy.

5 Specific Symptoms To Look For With Yeast Infection

If you are suspicious that you may have a yeast infection, there are specific symptoms that can help clarify whether or not you indeed have an infection. Although it can be embarrassing and possibly painful, you’re not the only one out there to get a yeast infection. In fact, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention says that around 80% of women will be afflicted by vaginal yeast infection at least once during their lifespan. So what are the yeast infection symptoms to look for?

1. Burning Sensation During Urination

Men and women can be afflicted by a yeast infection, and both may notice a burning sensation during urination. If you notice that it hurts to urinate and burns for more than a few bathroom breaks, it’s a sign that you need to talk with a physician.

2. Pain During Intercourse

This is only relevant for women who have a vaginal yeast infection. Although it is uncommon, it is possible for a woman to infect a male partner through vaginal intercourse. Because of this, it is vital that the women avoid vaginal intercourse completely until treatment has cured the infection.

3. Discharge

For the male, there are very few yeast infection symptoms, but a discharge from the penis is one of them. This can be either during urination or ejaculation. For the women, the production of a thick white vaginal discharge will be found that often resembles cottage cheese.

4. Itching

Any kind of itching around the vagina or penis is a red flag. It can become extremely irritating and is a clear sign that something is not right. In this case, it is vital that you get a medical exam immediately.

5. Irritation Or Redness

Going along with the itching, women may experience other forms of irritation around the vagina. The vagina may also begin to appear red and begin to rash. Although this often is more irritating than painful, it can become quite painful without quick treatment.

When you are concerned that you may have a yeast infection, it is vital that you check for all of the above symptoms that may be relevant. Sometimes having just one symptom isn’t enough. For example, irritation for women can be caused by the use of products such as perfumed soaps, bubble baths and sprays. If you do have a symptom and are worried, the safest thing to do is to go and get a medical examination. This is the most efficient way to get rid of a yeast infection prior to it worsening.

The Lotus Elan - A Remarkable Classic

Ever thought that driving a forty year old car could put a smile of satisfaction on your face?

The smile is not from the quirky looks, or from from the sound system, as this brilliant little car
does not even have one.

The classic lotus elan was made famous partly by Emma Peel from the old TV show the Avengers (1960s), Emma chose to zipp around in an elan. It was the kind of car that had instant sex appeal, and somehow made people on the sidewalk say, “I’ve just got to have one” as they watched the lotus disappear down the road.

Lotus elans are small, cute, and made many a young girl swoon, as well as a few young blokes wishing they could afford one.

Forty years on, these fantastic Colin Chapman designed Lotus/British sports cars have become highly desirable driver/collector cars. While they did earn a reputation as unreliable and expensive to repair and maintain, they were really no worse than any other high performance sports car of the time.
But they are an exhilarating, fun sports car that can still put many so called performance cars to shame, drive an Élan on a twisty winding alpine road, and few cars will be able to keep with it.

Special parts are no longer a problem for the lotus elan as there are many specialists manufacturing high quality after market parts, which help owners & enthusiasts alike to maintain the marque, parts that provide longevity and cutting edge technology to keep the classic lotus elan sports car even more desirable than when they were new out of the factory.

As most people know, Lotus was once a major force in the world formula one scene, having won several grand prix and F1 constructor’s championships. The late Colin Chapman, owner of the Lotus Car Co, produced some brilliant racing car chassis designs, many of these principles were bestowed in his road going Lotus Sports cars, and the elan was no exception, the basic design was perfect right from the
beginning, in it’s day (early 60s) the elan could zip from zero to 60mph (100kmh) in about 8 secs, even today quick elans are under 7secs, not bad for a car powered by a small engine of only 1600cc capacity.

The elan was well known for it’s zippy performance, brilliant chassis dynamics, handling, and excellent brakes, it was just a delightful…. “put a grin on your face kind of car to drive” and still is.

Few cars of old can evoke a smile of approval quite like a lotus elan, they were almost the perfect driving recipe. Today’s cars are becoming so over controlled with electronic overrides that the fun has been removed from everyday driving.

If you want to change all of that, and add some driving zest to your weekend motoring, go buy a classic lotus elan, it will quickly become your weekend mistress.

How To Sponsor And Recruit More Effectively

Effective sponsoring is no more or less than successfully connecting with people emotionally and intellectually and, in some cases, spiritually. The primary reason so many people have difficulty sponsoring others is they confuse sponsoring with recruiting or use the terms interchangeably.

Sponsoring is not recruiting and recruiting is not sponsoring. Yet, so many well meaning people fail to comprehend the differences between these two activities. In order to completely understand why so many people fail at this critical aspect of their business, I will define sponsor, sponsoring, recruit and recruiting.

Recruit: A recruit (other than a newly enlisted man or woman in the military) is any new disciple or follower of a cause or organization.

Recruiting: Recruiting is the active process of finding followers or disciples for a cause or organization; whereas, the organization can be a commercial enterprise.

Sponsor: A Sponsor is anyone that literally accepts responsibility for another. This includes, but is not limited to, his/her debts, statements, obligations, actions and activities.

Sponsoring: Sponsoring is the active process of finding people that will be responsible or accept responsibility for others.

Accepting the responsibility for another human being is a solemn obligation that should not be taken lightly. Recruiting is basically finding bodies to fill quotas. The language of networkers that are trying to build organizations by recruiting is: “You get 5, and they get 5 and so on down the line”.

The language of a sponsor is entirely different. When a sponsor speaks, it is always what we are going to do and what we are going to accomplish. The sponsor achieves his/her objectives by becoming a leader and a team player. A sponsor realizes his/her income is dependent on how well he/she fulfills his/her obligations to the person he/she is sponsoring.

Your role and function as a sponsor is to lead, help and teach. You lead and help by managing and organizing activity. You teach by instructing the individual you are sponsoring how to accept responsibility for someone else. Hence, You teach Harry how to sponsor Bill, so Harry can teach Bill how to sponsor or accept responsibility for Sally. What happened to so many MLM companies is this: Thousands of people in these business organizations stopped sponsoring and started recruiting.

Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary, Sarasota - Florida

How It All Started

Every caring person can make a difference. Even more powerful, a dedicated team of employees and volunteers in Pelican Man Bird Sanctuary is making a huge difference in the life of more than sixty thousand migrating and native birds and other animals of Florida’s Sarasota Bay.

It all started in 1981, when Dale Shields found a pelican, lying on the beach. The bird looked dead. When it finally moved its eyes, Dale rushed it home. At the time, there were no organizations that would be able to help, so the nursing took place in Dale’s bathtub until the pelican was well enough to be released back into the wild.

During this experience Dale developed a vision to create a Wildlife Rescue of Sarasota and succeeded after eight years, in 1989. The construction of the Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary began with the generous help from the City of Sarasota. Throughout the last year alone the Sanctuary has rehabilitated and released over 4,000 birds into the wild.

Injuries

Some of the common injuries for which the birds are treated in Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary hospital are: wing, eye, leg and feet injuries, and beak damage.

And reasons for most of these and several other injuries?

There are many of them, including the environmental issues like polluted water and traffic struck. Fishing line entanglement and fishing hooks cause lots of troubles as well. Therefore, all the fishermen should keep in mind not to cut the line when a bird swallows a fishing hook. The hook has to be removed. Lots of injuries are caused from predator attacks as well.

One of the most surprising common injury reasons are hits by golf balls. In particular Sandhill Cranes are the victims of golfing quite often.

Since the wetland and grassland areas are smaller and smaller every year due to drainage projects, agricultural development and logging, these sensitive to disturbance and very majestic birds are trying to survive and look for new feeding and roosting habitats which include margins of lakes and ponds. Two very important factors for nesting location of sandhill cranes are isolation and presence of water. No wonder we find them at the golf courses.

Hospital

The backbone of the sanctuary is of course the hospital in which on average fifteen patients per day are treated. Wildlife Rescue volunteers bring the birds in after caring people report injured, sick or orphaned bird.

All of the birds are supposed to be released back in the wild. Unfortunately, that’s not always possible. Some of the injuries are so severe that a survival is endangered. For that reason some birds are given a permanent home in natural, spacious habitat at the Pelican Man’s Bird Sanctuary.

And what better proves that this is a nice place to live than a choice of several wild birds to live and breed in or around the Sanctuary.

How You Too Can Help

Dale Shields passed away in 2003. His life was dedicated to wildlife despite his ill-health. But his vision survived. It is alive and growing with new areas developing in the Sanctuary and more being planned on.

If you, too, are concerned about the wildlife or just birds, it’s easy to help this bird-and- visitor friendly and well maintained place. You have several choices and you can find one that suits your budget and interest with no hassle. If you are in the area, go visit and see the Sanctuary for yourself.

Recently constructed Heronry, the most advanced habitat at the Sanctuary for Herons, Ibis and Egrets, is focused on water and native wetland plants. This super-structure is designed for minimizing maintenance and disturbance to the birds. Any size of your help or donation improves the living conditions for all the birds that found safe home at the Pelican Man’s.

Search Engines Like the High Street

Search engine optimization is confusing to many business owners. In many ways, the importance of high ranking web pages in search engines is similar to the importance of a premium position in the high street for a retail shop. Retailers well understand the benefits of paying some premium to be well placed in the street but do they have a similar understanding of the value of premium search engine rankings? It is unlikely. How can SEO practitioners help to build this understanding?

In the bricks and mortar world, it is well understood that a premium location in the high street benefits from ‘passing trade’. People passing by a shop will gaze through the window and, depending upon the effectiveness of the window dressing, might be enticed to visit even though they had not originally intended to do so. Most of these people are on their way somewhere planned or are just ‘browsing’ for a little recreational activity. Either way, they can be enticed to enter the shop and when they do, there is always the prospect of a sale.

Similarly on the internet, a search for something specific might result in a list of ‘most relevant’ content being presented. All of the top positions in the resulting list have been paid for to some extent. Listings in the pay per click advertising are competing through a bidding system for premium locations on the page and those websites prominent in organic search results have typically spent some time, effort and money to be there. Like the bricks and mortar world, these listings present opportunities to entice the visitor to click through to the website; and once there have the potential to spend.

My research in recent years shows two important trends in online behavior; as people become more familiar with the internet, so they are more likely to buy online and secondly, perhaps as a consequence, the proportion of sales is shifting from traditional channels to the internet. In some industries, there is more business conducted online than in other channels. Some businesses have been quick to recognize this and have responded rapidly by establishing a strong presence in search engines. Others though are slower to react and are losing business.

The high street analogy with search engine optimization is useful because it helps to explain the online phenomenon. Search engine optimization is money well spent (assuming that the money is directed to effective SEO activity) and unlike premium retail positions, is not yet affordable only for large companies. Smaller companies have every opportunity to position well in the search engines and reap significant rewards.

Business does not yet understand the online world and the science of search engine optimization or search engine advertising. By using analogies that relate to the offline world, we as SEO practitioners can help to grow that understanding.

List Building - 5 Keys To Build A Responsive List Through Pay Per Click

List building can be easy if you know what you are doing and can be very difficult if you don’t know what you are doing. One of the most lucrative way to build a responsive list is through pay per click. The key to pay per click is to convert your traffic to ads to subscribers. Do you know about the 5 secrets that can improve your pay per click list building?

1.-You don’t need to be the number one. You just have to one the first page. For your ad to be on the first page your ad has to be 1 to 8. The goal of the campaign is to make profit so figure out the number of clicks that the makes you profit and work with that.

2.-Find the right keywords. Be specific in your keywords and don’t be general. Use long tail keywords. They are cheap and profitable if you use enough of them. Wordtracker is one good research tool you can use.

3.-Be as specific as you can because this will save you money. Our target in pay per click list building campaign is qualified, targeted clicks and not just any clicks. You are looking for clicks that will eventually result in sales. Tell prospect exactly what they will get when they click on your ad. This will cut down on unqualified clicks which cost money. Google or search engine charges you for clicks so the more you reduce unqualified clicks the more money you get to spend on qualified clicks.

4.-Match your product name to your site and keyword. This is very important because web surfers search for words and keywords. Hardly do people search for website address. Unless the person know the web address off hand. Most searches are done through Google. In your ad campaign try and thick like the visitor who is searching for information on a keyword

5.-Concentrate on signing visitors up and not sell them on your landing page. Once a visitor clicks on your ad them are already qualified so don’t try to sell them so much. Rather give them a reason to come back or give them the opportunity to sign in so that you can contact them. Remember studies show that the average subscriber takes 7 contacts before they make a purchase.

These are just a few of the tricks you can apply to your pay per click campaign to increase your responsive list building. Pay per click is not as difficult you may think. Know what you need to do and apply these simple keys and you will increase you list.

Elegant Charm Of Gold Bracelets

Wearing a gold bracelet or several bracelets stacked altogether along the wrist would certainly grab people’s attention. Bracelets are a fun, elegant and sexy way to accentuate your wrists and your outfit.

Gold Bracelets in History

Bracelets have always been around for centuries. These are accessories worn on the wrist and are sometimes called wristbands or bangles. They have been fashioned from a bracer, a covering used in the medieval times.

Gold bracelets vary in designs, in materials, size and shape all over the world, depending on the culture and society. They are small, beautiful and dazzling. These days, they have now become a basic daily accessory like watches and earrings.
Gold Bracelet Styles

They are made out of different materials, like cloth, plastic, silver, gold and other metals. A common gift and a common purchase by women themselves, gold bracelets may be just plain thick or thin bands or they could be accentuated by precious stones. Emeralds, rubies and other gemstones render additional elegance to gold bracelets. This design made a big impact on wealthy women looking for social acceptance as they have always been a reflection of status of prestige and wealth. Unlike other accessories, they were never associated with bad omens. Although, suspicious individuals could always avoid buying gold bracelets with particular stones that they are wary of.

Bracelets vary in sizes according to current fashions of a certain era. The styles were continuously reinvented with the Romans extravagant designs, to the Victorian’s design suitable for women, to the 20th century’s chic designs.

Anything goes these days in terms of designs, unlike in the past where there were limits and regulation to what kind of pattern or mould would be used. In spite of the varying patterns, the drawback is that, there is mass production of the same mould, and most of the time, you would find the same design on almost every store. Similar to every other trend, the craze in fashion determines what kind of bracelet cut will come out. Gold bracelet fashion has become bolder with time and because of this you can have a lot to choose from. You could also consider getting white gold bracelets as they are more elegant and dazzling in appearance.

If you are thinking of buying one for yourself, or for someone else as a gift, you could always try a local jewelry store or shop. You can also go online as the internet offers a lot of websites selling gold bracelets in all kinds of sizes and designs that you would really love. You can find thousands of bracelets with different patterns, with or without gemstones, made of white or plain gold. You can opt to have gold charm bracelets, gold I.D. bands for your husband, or gold name bracelets for your sister’s newborn. There is no need for you to restrict yourself to just one kind of bracelet. If you can afford it, give your outfit some zest. Don’t be afraid to be a little bit more dazzling, modeling a very stylish gold bracelet.
