Visit The Islands On These Vacations

Visiting one of the famous islands that are specially prepared to provide tourist with what they want can really be the solution to avoid getting stressed.

You just need to purchase a package and the agency and affiliates will take care of all the rest. There are also all inclusive packages where you won’t even need to take care of food, transportation, or anything at all. Probably the only thing that will be expected of you is a good tip if you feel that the service provided is up to the standards they claim to provide.

The Quietness That Islands Offer

The isolation implied gives away quietness beyond comparison. You may be close to home but you know that there is a sea separating you from continental land and that provides a sense of tranquility. Besides, everything goes slower and more peacefully at the islands. There are neither hurries nor people hasting you. At the islands you feel that the day expands to new broadness.

But by no means this represents boredom; within the islands you’ll find entertainment of all kinds. The difference is that you won’t be rushed, and thus, you’ll be able to balance entertainment and relaxation to get back home feeling like a new man or woman. If you are seeking quietness and recreation, taking your vacations on a tropical island is the smart way to go. There’s no doubt about it.

Close to Home or Far Away

There are many alternatives to choose from. There are islands that are close to home like Hawaii and Bermudas. These islands are perfect for having a good time knowing that you won’t have problems with the language or currency and that you will be able to communicate with the continent and get back home right away if anything rises.

There are however alternatives that are not that close but offer more exotic and far away paradises. You can visit Australia or New Zealand Islands or Those fantastic Greek Mediterranean Islands with so many things to see. The choice is yours, islands far away from home help you relax a lot more as you get disconnected from home without watching the news and reading newspapers. Everything is resting and peace.

Costs Of Vacations and Financing Options

Depending on your choice, vacations on some islands can be a bit expensive, but there is no reason for you to deny yourself this time off due to lack of funds. There are many financing options available. Even if you don’t have a credit card with enough balance to pay for one of these packages, there are many online lenders offering unsecured loans you can use for any purpose including going on vacations. And if you are less conservative, you can resort to a small home equity loan which will end up being a lot cheaper with monthly payments so low that you won’t even notice.

Get Paid to Take Surveys - Easy Work-From-Home Money

To make sure money on the Internet, you need multiple streams of income. One of the streams of income that is easy to set up is to arrange to get paid to take surveys online. All you need to get paid to take surveys is an Internet connection, an email address, a physical address and time to fill out applications and take surveys.

Here’s how it works:

1. All over the world big companies are spending many billions of dollars in advertising and product development. Competition is keen and small differences in what their advertising “targets” and the way the new products are set up can make huge differences in corporate profits. Yet most companies have little or no direct contact with the ultimate consumers who buy their products.

To know what these consumer-customers are thinking, what features they are looking for, what they want, these big companies employ market researchers. Market researchers use surveys as a method of finding out what “target market populations” are thinking. An important way to get people to take these surveys is to pay them, so many get paid to take surveys.

2. The survey business goes through specialized companies who contract to set up and take surveys for big company clients. There are several hundreds of these specialized companies, some reliable, some flaky, all different kinds. The service they sell is competitive and changeable so these companies grow and shrink, come and go; the mix is constantly changing.

3. To get paid to take these surveys you need a guide company which is up-to-date on which of the specialized survey makers are good for survey takers like yourself, right now. There are hundreds of these guide companies out there, some good, some not-so-good and some which are outright scams.

4. You need to choose a good guide company. It should be large, should have been around for awhile, should have a very strong guarantee and a low refund rate. Probably the single most important point is that low refund rate, since the refund rate is the best measure of client dissatisfaction; the more unhappy clients, the higher the refund rate. Look for a paid survey program company with a refund rate in the 3-5% range. Avoid those with refund rates over 10%.

5. There will be a membership sign-up fee to start, usually around $35 - $50, which you can expect to get back with your first 2-3 surveys.

6. When you pick your guide company and start, it will be very important to sign up for as many of the survey makers on their recommended list as possible. They have to know that you are out there and ready in order to invite you to take surveys so you can get paid to take those surveys.

That’s basically it. To get paid to take surveys you pick a good guide company, sign up with them, then follow their instructions. You fill out as many applications as you can, then respond to the offers to take surveys as they come in. This will give you another, continuing income stream from getting paid to take surveys.

The Life And Times Of The Ipod Battery

When you purchase an iPOD, what do you think about? Are you imagining what songs you’ll put on it? Do you think about all the accessories and kits that you’ll get for your iPOD? Can you picture in your mind all the places you’ll take your iPOD? Of course you’re thinking about all those things. Are you also thinking about the lithium iPOD battery that powers your device, and how it works? Probably not.

The iPOD is a remarkable device that has changed how people transfer and enjoy music and information, but little is paid attention to what makes an iPOD work. We know how it works, and what it can do, but what enables it to do all those cool things? The answer is a small but powerful lithium iPOD Nano battery.

Lithium iPOD batteries are more powerful than standard nickel-cadmium batteries. Because of this, lithium batteries last longer and don’t require to be charged as regular batteries. This allows you to max-out the times you need to change your iPOD battery. Now, with any form of battery - lithium-ion or otherwise - you will eventually need to purchase an iPOD or to simply replace the iPOD battery itself. After all, it won’t last forever, but it’s sure close!

A lithium-ion iPOD Nano battery works better for two reasons:

1. Lithium is lighter than nickel
2. Lithium batteries have smart “fast-charge” technology

Let’s focus on point number one. Because lithium-ion is lighter than crystal, which means that your iPOD doesn’t have to work as hard to charge a light material vs. a heavy material. So, your iPOD battery uses less power to fully charge up. That’s good for you, because having lithium iPOD batteries gets your device charged up faster. It also saves you the expense of having to frequently purchase iPOD Nanos.

On the second point, iPOD batteries are smart charging. Now, you can’t use your iPOD Nano battery to help study for a test! Rather, they’re smart because they can tell the charger when they’re almost full. When your iPOD is charging, it charges up to 80% capacity in no time flat. Then, the iPOD battery tells the charger to slow down, so the charging process goes from warp speed to snail’s pace. This ensures that the battery doesn’t overcharge, and makes certain that you’re spending your time with your music, and not spending your cash on iPOD batteries.

With any battery, every time you charge it, it loses a bit of its performance and power. Over time, that battery will die, and after you give it a proper funeral, you’ll have to change it. The same is true with your iPOD. Eventually, you will have to replace the iPOD battery. You can either change the iPOD battery itself or purchase a new iPOD Nano . But, because your iPOD battery is a lithium-ion beast, you won’t need to worry about that for a while!

Paid Survey Reviews Can Help You Find a Good Paid Survey Site

You can make good money taking paid surveys, if you go about it in the right way. The right way involves picking a good paid survey site that can guide you to the better, more reliable survey makers.

Your paid survey site guide company can also save you a lot of time and grief by helping you avoid the flaky survey makers and fakes. Fakes? Yes, like those sales sites that disguise themselves and try to look like free paid survey sites. Their game is to get all your info in order to “send you paid surveys”. Then they pass your contact info to scores of sales companies who try to sell you things. Some even send you to a ’survey’ to ask you which of their products you are more likely to buy! Sheesh! A salesman wolf dressed up in paid survey site sheep’s clothing! You find those (to one degree or another) frequently at “free” sites.

So how do you go about finding the good guide companies?

There are a number of “review” sites out there that review paid survey companies and make observations and recommendations. Can any of these help?

The answers are Yes, Maybe, no and NO! Let’s break that answer down into its respective parts:

Yes. Serious Unbiased There are sites that make a serious effort to examine the alternatives, measure them against each other and pick out the best for you. These serious sites seem to all look at several (more than ten) alternatives. They find or develop objective, numerical measures. They compare and recommend candidates based on these measures and they recognize that companies change so they re-evaluate all periodically.

Paid survey review sites that do all of the above are useful and can help.

Maybe. Semi-serious Biased These sites look at 5-8 alternatives, compare based on few facts and their personal opinion and seem to always recommend the same favorites. Maybe their advice is better than blind guessing, maybe not. At least most of them seem to recommend popular “known” companies, probably based on past reputation only.

No. Biased These sites deal with 3-5 alternatives, show obvious bias in their treatment of their candidates, have almost no objective indicators and seem to be being recommended because the webmaster knows them. Their advice is completely suspect, nonobjective and not useful.

NO! Straw Man Game Players You can see several sites that say things like, “We checked out 197 companies and all were frauds or scams except for 3.” Then they proceed to try to sell you on the 3 supposedly legitimate sites. Clearly they are setting up “straw men” for the purpose of knocking them over. It’s a sales gimmick, pure and simple. It doesn’t prove anything. Maybe they did find 194 sites that were worse. Avoiding the worst is not the problem; finding the best is. Anyone using such obvious gimmickry is going to extraordinary measures to make his choices look good by comparison, and is definitely not to be taken seriously or trusted.

So Yes, good paid survey review sites can help, but beware of imitations!

Why People Don’t Make A Living Doing What They Love

You’ve seen it before: people who make a hullabaloo about following their dreams and then end up broke, busted and disgusted. If this has made you put your own dreams on hold, here are 5 reasons why most people fail and how to avoid making those same mistakes as you strive to make a living doing what you love.

1.They don’t carve out their own niche- Many aspiring singers fail for instance, because they’re too busy trying to become the next Kelly Clarkson, James Brown or Michael Jackson. Same thing goes for wannabe models, writers and business people. Does the world really need what it already has? Stop trying to clone somebody else, learn from successful people by all means but project your uniqueness too. On a sheet of paper list your talents, hobbies, life experiences, educational background and practical skills. Can you infuse your culture into your work? For instance American author, Amy Tan, has made a fortune writing stories about the trials and triumphs of Chinese immigrants. If she’d tried to become the next Joan Collins she would have failed to convince her audience. Think, ‘how can my life experiences, education and practical skills contribute toward creating my desired lifestyle?’ Thoughtfully write down the answers to these questions. If you require further insight, get some feedback from family and friends. Work with what you’ve got- it’s more than enough.

2. They don’t perfect their craft- You’d be surprised how many times an actor rehearses for a single movie scene or how many times a writer has to proofread a manuscript. Some dreamers think that raw talent will fetch them a fortune overnight. When crude oil is drilled out of the earth’s crust is it supplied to gas stations right away? No one shells out their hard earned money to amateurs. Work on your skills so that you can compete with the best in the world. Get a guru to mentor you, enrol in a refresher course or practice devotedly. The more you work at your craft, the better it’ll become and the more remuneration you can command for what you do. Strive for excellence if you want to make a living doing what you love.

3. They don’t establish demand- Many dreamers assume that there is an instant market for the products and services they aim to provide. If you plan to make a living doing what you love, don’t make assumptions- do some market research. Is there really a demand for your homemade scented candles? Will people outside of Hollywood queue up to buy your doggie haute couture? Test the waters thoroughly before stepping out of the boat. Hand out questionnaires to friends and neighbours, visit local shops and find out what sort of items sell best. Read newspapers and learn to spot and analyse emerging trends. Think big by all means but if you don’t start small you may well be sorry.

4. They don’t sell to persistent needs- You don’t want to invest precious time and money crafting a product, only to find out that demand isn’t steady. You want the need (for whatever you plan to sell) to be as regular as your utility bill. One can’t go wrong in the food industry for instance because whatever happens people have to eat and in order to serve their customers, cooks have to buy crockery from the manufacturing industry. People who eat also have to defecate at some point and that’s where toilet roll production comes in. Think strategically. Seek to meet a genuinely pressing need or at least have the ability to convince your target audience that they can’t do without your offering. Again, determine persistent needs and sell accordingly.

5. They give up too soon- If it was that easy then everyone would make a living doing what they love. A lot of people have failed not because they weren’t talented enough but because they gave up way too soon. Is your dream worth waiting for? Are you willing to leave (and stay outside) your comfort zone or endure rejection for the sake of what you want to accomplish? Can you really bear to live your life burdened with the pain of unfulfilled dreams? Sylvester Stallone endured poverty and abuse in his childhood. It is said that Sylvester was often beaten up by his father and advised to develop his body as he had no brains. Stallone struggled as an actor for many years but one day whilst watching a Mohammed Ali boxing match, he was inspired to write the script for the movie ‘Rocky’. He finished the script in less than a week and peddled it to producers demanding that he be cast in the lead role. His persistence paid off and today ‘Rocky’ (asides earning Sly millions of dollars) has become one of the most loved American movies of all time.

You can take the word ’starving’ out of starving artist, you can turn any hobby, habit, skill or craft into a decent livelihood. Bored with your day job? You can change that. Perhaps you’ve got children and want flexible work that allows you to be the best parent you can be? Create it. Want some extra income on the side? Go for it. There’s no better motivator than satisfying work. So long as you avoid common mistakes like these, you too can make a living doing what you love.

How to Get Government Contracts

Government contracts are not as unattainable as the paperwork makes them seem. Once you learn the system, they can be an excellent source of revenue for your business - even when the economy takes a dip and business is harder to come by.

Federal, state, and municipal agencies routinely contract for outside support. They have to; the requirements for all of the services they provide far exceed the internal structure of most government agencies.

The key to winning a government contract at any level is knowing the system - the specific system that an agency requires you to follow. Don’t let the red tape intimidate you. Once you clear the initial hurdles, the rewards can far outweigh the challenges.

Government contracts vs. private contracting

Projects for the government are covered by strict statutes and regulations to protect the public and reassure taxpayers that their money is being spent properly.

Government contracts are different from private contracting in several ways. To begin with, most public works jobs require that you pay the prevailing wage rate. Public works as opposed to private work is very highly competitive. For example, contractors are on a much bigger margin than public works, while public works typically involves a greater volume. So markup is less. But you’re working with a higher price in labor.

You also have more outside agency inspection, which is often extremely critical. And it’s much more paperwork-intensive: tech submittals, payroll, and legal (lien) documentation, just to name a few areas.

Since the government typically requires more paperwork, many businesses never enter the market. So what’s in it for those who do? Is it worth it?

Good opportunity for stable businesses

Doing business with the government won’t make you instantly wealthy. But it can certainly work to your financial advantage. For one thing, it can help you to level out the economic peaks and valleys during the business year. If you can apply the profits from government revenue to paying for your business overhead, you can be more selective with other contracts that involve a higher margin.

One of the good things about contracting with the government is that when the economy is tough, Congress pours dollars into public agencies to help jumpstart the economy. When the work is properly done, you know you’ll get paid.

Is Your Business Ready For Government Contracts?

To succeed with government contracts, first make sure that your business is solid enough to complete the job term. If your business is in financial trouble, a government contract isn’t going to save you.

In fact, if you can’t fulfill its requirements (which include sustaining your business throughout the contract term), it could put you out of business. Be sure that you have enough capital and the right people and resources to do the job before committing to it.

Also, the government does not typically finance contracts before the work is performed. You may be able to receive incremental payments if the contract’s value and duration are substantial enough. But there must be a good reason, not just the fact that you need money to stay in business.

Since public projects involve paying the current prevailing wage, labor costs are considerably higher than the industry average. The norm is usually based on the highest union pay scales. A business bidding a public works job has to be able to carry those costs for several weeks prior to receiving payment from the government.

The importance of proper capitalization and paperwork filing can’t be stressed enough. You have to consider your payment schedule: the labor dollars you’ll have to front during the project and your materials cost. To get paid, you’ll have to make sure that you’ve correctly filled out all of the paperwork, submitted it on time, and gone through proper channels.

Make sure that you get all of the information in advance so that you won’t be caught flat-footed after starting the job. Make sure to read all of it thoroughly, and then read it again.

Once you’re armed with that, and are sure that your business is strong enough to sustain itself through the initial phases of government contract work, get ready to enjoy some great profits and business relationships with government agencies who will seek out your services for years to come.

How to Sell Affiliate Products and Make a Profit?

Affiliate marketing was there even before internet came into the picture. It was not invented by netpreneurs. That’s what they would like us to believe but they would be telling the truth when they say that affiliate marketing took off like never before with the coming of the internet. In the beginning it was only homemakers wanting to make some extra money who went into this business. But, the success of affiliate marketing has been such that professionals like doctors, lawyers etc., are jumping into the bandwagon. This is because the growth of affiliate marketing has been nothing short of phenomenal. So, if someone wants to sell affiliate products how can one go about it? Selling is not enough of course, you have to learn to make a profit, how can you do it?

If you have some products and want to start an affiliate network, then, let me put a word of caution, it is going to take a long time before you can make a profit. The reason is you have to have many number of affiliates - in thousands, before you can think of making a profit. So, the best approach would be to join an existing network if you want more immediate profits. If you are willing to wait then you can start your own network and obviously your profit is going to be higher but, if you are not then join an existing one.

Joining an existing one is not difficult. There are hundreds of affiliate networks out there. Do not join just anyone blindly. Do a thorough research. There have been many cases of fraud on the net so, be very careful before you join on the net. Never join a network which needs some sort of deposit from you. A genuine affiliate network will not ask for money upfront. They will be interested in a percentage of the profits.

Once you have joined an affiliate network you need your own set of affiliates. Before that you need to have the affiliate software in place. Keeping manual records of referrals is not an option. Next you have to start recruiting your affiliates. It will be tempting to allow anyone and everyone to your group but it will be best if you screen the applicant before you accept them. Some of the screening tips are

–People should have an active site. If they don’t have one chances are that they are spammers
–The content of the site should be relevant to your product
–The content of the site should not be made up of ads. Exceptions can be if these sites are very popular with visitors
–Nor porn or gambling related advertisement on the website.
–The content handed over to them should not be misused
–Your products should not be misrepresented on their websites

It is not enough if you have affiliates, you have to be constantly in touch with them. Unless you are in touch with them they are likely to forget you and your products. This is especially true for high performers. These people are likely to be a part of many other affiliate networks as well. So, it is up to you to keep them happy and make them feel appreciated. Don’t wait for them to contact you. This is not the place to let your ego come in your way.

The success of any affiliate program depends on the referrals that you get. Whenever you want a referral from someone don’t beat about the bush - come straight to the point. Don’t generalize. Specify as to what kind of referrals you are looking for. If you have support materials with you it is a good idea to use them. All those leaflets and brochures are not for safekeeping. They have to be used. When describing your business break it down to small pieces. This will make it much easier for people to understand your business.

There are many resources available on the internet if you are interested in affiliate marketing. But before you jump into the fray to start one or join one, make it a point to do your research.

Audio Books And Recorded Books - Do You Know The Answers To These Questions?

You’ve heard of audio books, or recorded books before, haven’t you? Many people, even the ones who use them daily, remain tongue-tied when it comes to answering correctly the following questions.

Why? My guess is that audio books in general are so convenient to use. Many of us prefer to venture into the scenes of an audio book without delay more willingly. Spending our precious time researching every detail about its creation remains a distant “maybe”.

On the other hand, there are a few details about recorded books you want to know.
What for?
‘Cause knowing them makes it easier for you to navigate around audio books with more confidence. Your improved “shopper’s education” to make the right choice is worth it.

I admit I used to be unaware of even the basic terms about audio books myself. So, I asked questions to get answers.

Guess what? I’ve found them. And I’d love to share them with you so you can save time researching the same questions. If you’d like to know the answers to the following basic questions about audio books, keep on reading.

What’s an audio book?

An audio book is a book in audio format. It is a “fun replacement” for a physical hardcover or paperback book you’d read from cover to cover. Instead, you grab-n-read books on CD, books on tape, or MP3 books versions.

What formats do audio books come in?

You can get recorded books on tape, books on CD, and MP3 books. From an old-fashioned cassette player to modern and sleek MP3 players, audio books keep you company on-the-go where traditional book reading is simply unsuitable.

What’s an MP3 book?

MP3 books are still audio books. But a clever compression technique reduces the file size to take up less recording space. Besides that, MP3’s are portable and easily downloadable. Storing them is a breeze when compared to piling up stacks of cassettes or CD’s.

How can recorded books in MP3 format be played back?

You can play MP3 audio books on any MP3 portable player. You can also play them on your home PC (need to have Windows Media Player or similar). Playing MP3’s on a laptop or MP3-enabled cellular phones is the latest trend. If you don’t have an MP3 player, but have a CD player, you can burn MP3 files to a CD using your computer. You’ll need special software to do that. Search Google for “free software to burn CD’s” :).

What does “unabridged audio book” mean?

Good question. An “unabridged” audio book is narrated (or told) word for word. It’s the printed book equal in audio format. Nothing’s missing. Nothing’s added. As a result, they are longer than “abridged” versions.

What’s an “abridged audio book” version then?

It’s similar to the printed original, but shorter. The word-for-word narration from the previous example is not exact. “Abridged” also means shortened, cut. Keep that in mind if you are looking for the original version.

What are “dramatized audio books”?

Dramatized audio books are stage-like, “play-life” versions of printed books. You get all the bells and whistles: full cast, music and sound effects. Some people prefer it; some would rather get a simple, told version by an experienced narrator.

Is there a difference between having the author of the physical book tell the audio version, or is it better to have a professional narrator do the job?

Some authors are gifted for both writing and telling their own book. Others are better off leaving it to professional “voice-over calibers”. If you can, listen to a sample of the recorded book that catches your interest. It’ll help you decide if the narrator resonates with you. Some people swear that half the beauty of an audio book is the voice-over quality.

Where’s a good place to start for a novice interested in recorded books?

An excellent place to start is to pick up a favorite story you already know about, but would like to “read” as an audio. About the length, pick “abridged” audio books to start with to cut down on time they take to play back. Once you become more skilled with recorded books, you got to check out “unabridged” editions as downloadable audio MP3 books as soon as you can.

Once a beginner, Lou Smith shares the riches he’s found in href="http://www.mybigaudio.com/">Audio Books He offers you a special invitation to get href="http://www.mybigaudio.com/free.html">free Recorded Books as gifts now. You can listen to MP3 books samples right away.

What is True Education?

“Education Is one of the chief obstacles to intelligence and freedom of thought.” Bertrand A. Russell (1872-1970) English philosopher, mathematician, and writer.

I would like to touch on the subject of education. As you are all probably getting familiar with my columns, it is not going to be a traditional viewpoint, but more of a pragmatic view.

It has come to my attention that much of education as we know it - formal schooling and the like - has fallen very short of the goal of actually educating someone as defined by the dictionary, which is to instruct or enlighten. How many of us know people who are highly “educated” and don’t have the first clue about how to treat people. Nor do they ever apply the education that they have paid tons of money to acquire. Instead, they squander it as a trophy, a title or a trinket to prove their worth.

“Education is one of the few things a person is willing to pay for and not get.” William Lowe Bryan

Education, unless directed toward our own predetermined outcomes, is a waste of time. Our school systems have become a bastion of political warfare and feel-goodism that adults are waging among themselves. We have forgotten that our children at the epicenter of the fray, especially in the minority community, are paying the price. We don’t want kids to feel upset if they get a bad grade, lose a game or have to reach inside of themselves to tap the character building point of going through a difficult test of any kind, be it a mental, spiritual, physical or moral test.

Education happens as we learn the right and wrong way to spell, add, speak, throw a ball, talk to our peers and respect our elders. We are losing all of these invaluable lessons one day at a time with the current attempt by career politicians to educate our children. The base starts with the parents - involved parents, caring parents, parents who are not afraid to look at circumstances and call the emperor’s clothes for what they are.

So what is the answer Jason? We hear complaints all the time … we know the system is failing … what do we do?

The answer is knowing the goal of our kids education. Currently, it is designed to teach our kids how to get a job and be good little soldiers marching to someone else’s drum. The climate has changed. How many of you reading this right now are doing what you went to school for, or even in the same profession that you were in 5 years ago?

Our times demand a new type of teaching that is based on outcome and focused on leadership - if not a leader of others, at least a leader of ourselves. Leadership does not mean waiting around for a government to take care of you. Leadership is not living at home until you are 30. Leadership is not blaming others. Leadership is not doing the least you can for the most return. Leadership is not how many beers you can drink or how we can escape the pressure of growth through modern pharmacology ( Xanax, Prozac, etc.).

Leadership is looking deep inside ourselves and asking the question, “What am I here for?” The answer that always comes back if asked in earnest is to grow, to serve, and to love. How can we grow if we release pressure through rules that are either constantly changed or not enforced. How can we grow when we rely on mood altering drugs and alcohol to vanquish pain whenever a psychological or physical ache appears? The answer is simple: we cannot. The very thing that we are attempting to spare our children from, and the very thing that we are constantly trying to avoid ourselves, is the only thing that will make us move forward as an individual, a family, a nation, and a world. The greatest leaders of modern and historic times have always been those who face tremendous odds and overcome them. Imagine for a moment if Martin Luther King Jr. had dropped out of the Civil Rights Movement with the excuse, “Forget this crap, let someone else deal with it” or Mother Theresa would have decided that the poor and ail need to just die and get it over with, or a Nelson Mandela would have turned his head in apathy.

Imagine instead that you and I banded with our communities, not for the aggrandizement of the self, but for the common good. Imagine if you looked in the mirror today and exclaimed, “Enough!” I am finished being the victim who bickers, bitches, and complains. I am officially going to lead and not follow. I am today going to believe in the power of good, not only to acknowledge it, but also to become it. Those of you who are reading this column and are inspired to do something today, take action now. Research charities, causes, and organizations in which you believe; search out groups that believe as you do. Take massive action toward your dreams. We need all of you who believe in this magazine to become a voice and engage in this world in actions that make a positive difference. Offer you help by talking about it to your neighbors, by subscribing yourself, by sending in your stories of challenge and decision. DO something today and watch the transformation happen in your own lives! I will leave you now with a mantra to recall when tempted to return to former beliefs and habits: LEAD, SERVE, GROW and LOVE!
