Can a Clickbank and Adsense combination really make a home business?

Yes, and there are five reasons why. In fact, using this method, you can make more home business income now than you could a few years ago. Let’s have a look:

1. Products

Clickbank has a huge amount of e-products to promote. In fact, the amount of products available is in-exhaustive. Finding a niche market (and niche keywords) is easy with such a diverse range of products. Choose gardening, health, beauty… Just choose a category you love, something that would be a great subject for a home business.

2. Commissions

Clickbank commissions are usually quite high for the products you can promote. Whilst there are the odd low-paying ones, most commissions are 50% and upwards. With commissions like this, on products averaging $40 each, your income adds up quickly.

3. Campaign immediacy

When you promote a Clickbank product, Adsense is with you immediately– automatically adjusting to the exact content that is being promoted. If you don’t make the sale with Clickbank you will likely get a profitable Adsense click instead. It’s win-win!

4. Guaranteed payment

When dealing with firms via the internet, it’s good to know you are dealing with reputable companies. Google and Clickbank are two of the big boys. They have been around long enough to give you peace-of-mind– Your checks are not going to disappear.

5. Cost

Start a bricks and mortar business and you have instantly got costs. You need to earn a lot of money to get your initial investment back. Start up a home business using Adsense and Clickbank and you are off to a flying start. No money down.

The Adsense Clickbank boats leaves regularly, you just need to climb on board.

Do it now.

One of my favourite questions in seminars is, “Who thinks their marketplace is more competitive now than it was 5 years ago?” I love it as a question because the vast majority of people believe that their markets are more competitive. They’re probably right.

Clients are more knowledgeable, information is easier to come by every day, and sales and marketing techniques are getting more and more sophisticated. What a nightmare!

Or not…

I believe that today you have an unprecedented opportunity to make your fortune by outselling, outmanoeuvring and outclassing your competition. It’s true that business is evolving at an ever faster pace but if you embrace this change and thrive on it you can succeed like never before.

Think about it!

Most of your competitors are sitting around moaning and whinging about the fact that they can’t keep up! Don’t be a doofus! Get your act in gear and take your market by storm.

Here’s 10 tips for outselling your competitors and the market every time!

Tip1: Work harder

Whoops! I just lost a lot of my readers! Didn’t you want to hear that? Most people I work with don’t want to hear that… at first! Today’s society is all about getting it cheap and easy. Fame comes to the fortunate… get on TV, win the lottery, make an insurance claim…

Well, maybe you’re prepared to sit around and wait for it to happen but I’m not and neither are thousands of people I’ve worked with… now. You have an unprecedented opportunity to sell but you’re going to have to work for it. Period.

The best salespeople are the hardest workers. So get over it and get on with it! Hey and you know - if you sell something your passionate about hard work can be fun!

Tip 2: Work smarter

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a brain surgeon or a nuclear scientist to work smarter! Most salespeople go with the flow working on all sorts of activities that do not produce results. I watch them day in and day out as I am visiting with clients and amazed by the stuff they call work! You know the stuff… surfing the web somewhat aimlessly, checking email boxes, shuffling papers… What SATS (Sales Avoidance TacticS) do you use on a daily basis?

To work smarter you have to ask yourself one simple but powerful question… “What daily activities do I need to do every day that will make me more sales?”

Whatever the answers, work out how much of it you have to do and do it come what may!

Congratulations! You’re working smarter!

Tip3: Increase the lifetime value of existing clients

Most salespeople make a sale to a client and then move on to the next one. Most clients think that salespeople only ring them when they want to a) sell something new or b) renew their contracts.

If someone only rang you when they wanted to sell your something or get you to commit to a new contract what would you think about them? What feelings and emotions would you associate with them?

When a new opportunity came up in your business would you ring them or would you ring the salesperson who stayed in contact with you?

It’s obvious isn’t it but because most salespeople only ever “chase the money” they forget the lifetime value of a client and consequently they run the risk of losing deals and clients.

One of the easiest way to increase the lifetime value of a client is to increase the longevity of the relationship. I speak to clients every day who say things like, “Well no client lasts for ever?” and “It’s normal for clients to move after a couple of years - that’s industry standard?”

When we look at the way their clients are treated they realise that they have created the industry standard themselves. Standards are set - you can change them.

How would you need to treat your clients to increase their longevity?

Tip 4: Create new products for existing customers

Another great way to increase the lifetime value of clients is to sell more products to them. There are two ways to do this…

Firstly, you need to ensure that your clients are introduced to your whole product range. Just because you know what else you sell doesn’t mean that your clients do. They’re not psychic! What’s more, if you approached them in a specific area they may well have you “pegged” as only dealing with that area!

Expand your sales possibilities by expanding your client’s knowledge of you! As a young salesman, one of my most sobering moments was when I told one of my most loyal clients that I could have fulfilled a huge deal he head just signed and he said to me, “Gavin, I’m so sorry. I didn’t even know that you did that!”

Secondly, you need to develop new products and services to meet your clients’ needs. Find out what else your clients need and give it to them. How easy is that!

Tip 5: Add value to client relationships

How do you add value to your client relationships? When I ask most salespeople that question they look at me blankly! Eventually, they usually say something like…

“I provide a good service” or…
“We have the best products”…

These are what you do, they like them sure but they’re not adding value beyond the sale.

Let’s try a different question…

How could you add value to your client relationships?

Aha! Ask a better question and get a better answer! You need to work out ways to add value above and beyond the sale. Why? Because that will make your clients think of you as someone who cares about them and their business and that, in turn, will make you more sales.

There’s many ways to add value… free training seminars, product updates, market updates, technology reports, white papers, newsletters…

Think of some for your business right now!

Tip6: Under promise and over deliver

I hate sounding like some old hack but some phrases just can’t be beaten can they! Most clients have no real expectation of salespeople. They expect to be under whelmed and they’re usually right. - sigh -

Here’s a couple of tips for how to under promise and over deliver…

1)-Don’t exaggerate, bullshit or waffle! Most salespeople lose the plot when they’re “selling” (see authors many comments on selling vs. telling) and get carried away. Don’t!

2)-Set client expectations so that they are always delighted with the solution they get from you.

There is no better way to set yourself apart from the competition in your clients’ eyes than to be seen as “the one” salesperson who always delivers!

Tip 7: Know Your Market Inside Out & Upside Down

Do you read the industry press? Do you read the business section of quality newspapers? Do you study how your market and your clients are evolving? Do you know how both yours and your competitors products help your clients?

Most salespeople don’t know these things well enough. They say that they want to be the best but they don’t behave like they want to be the best.

The best in every field are experts!

You want the best doctor. What is he? An expert!
You want the best engineer? What is she? An expert!
You want the best sales speaker? What is he? Me! Oh, sorry - an expert!

Being an expert doesn’t have to consume your life! You won’t have to burn the midnight oil, skip the family holidays or abandon the pub!

What it does require is commitment. Commitment to find out what you need to know to be the best. Commitment to developing your self. And commitment to taking action for a small period of time, regularly.

Imagine what you could achieve if you committed even half an hour a day to becoming an expert.

Tip8: Understand and predict customer wants and needs

You’ve got market knowledge.
You’re an expert in your products / solutions.
You ask questions and you listen.

You can predict the future!

And you should! If you can use your expertise to predict customer wants and needs then you’re going to have one heck of a lot of happy customers!

Tip9: Know how your product really helps your clients

OK! OK! I know! I’ve said this before! But most salespeople just don’t get it!

I don’t care about your product! I don’t care about how many widgets it has? And I certainly don’t care how many dongles it has! And neither do your clients! Get me?!

You need to understand how your product really helps your clients. What pain are they in that it solves? What happens if they don’t solve that pain? What happens if they do?

Tip10: Understand the true biz context of your offering at the right level of specificity

Most salespeople laugh (or cry!) when I mention the word specificity but I believe that this rather strange word makes and breaks sales every day!

Everyone operates at a certain level of specificity and you need to meet them at that level…

Consider a chocolate factory… the CEO of a factory cares about profits, operating costs and efficiencies; the ops manager cares about the smooth running of the factory, the day to day operational issues and resources; the line managers care about the job getting done, their staff doing what they’re supposed to and their hourly targets being met; and the Oompah Loompahs care about how easy their life is!

Now I know that’s a simplified example but you get my point don’t you! Speak to the CEO about hourly targets and you’re not going to make a sale; speak to the Oompah Loompah about operating costs and efficiencies and he is unlikely to know what you’re on about.

You need to understand fully how your product or solution helps your clients in their business at the right level of specificity.

Got it! Get on with it!

There are two aspects of God, the universal and the personal aspect. Most people know a lot about one aspect but little of the other.

The universal aspect of God is the Universal Power we can use at will. The personal aspect of God is the Person of God moving as He Wills.

Universal power is mental power. It is the divine nature of our being when God created us. It is the power within us that is a reflection of the omnipotent. As we are created in the image of God, we have the universal aspect of God within our spirit. We are creators of our own reality, the microcosm in the same way as God created the entire universe, the macrocosm. Man is to rule his world like God governs the universe.

The universal aspect of God is the realm of inspiration, creativity and genius. It is the power of the universal mind that is accessible by everyone without exception. The individual mind is connected to the universal mind by thought. The ability to think makes us conscious creators. The better a person is able to think, the more intelligent he is. Intelligence is what separates one level of being from another. We are all equal aspects of God’s creation, but we all manifest his power at varying degrees.

Thought and Knowledge are One. Thought leads to knowledge and knowledge influences thought. Choice is an illusion created by those in control for those who are not. To be in control, you must know. It is knowing how things work and understanding what is going on that gives you awareness of the governing dynamics of reality. It is awareness that puts you in a position of being a master player instead of a pawn on a chessboard.

Mental power is spiritual power because Mind and Spirit are One and the Same. With the power of the universal mind, you can accomplish all miracles and do great things. The power is a natural power because it follows natural laws. We might think that certain things defy natural laws but that is because we are seeing things from only one level. Natural laws exist on every plane of reality, both the physical as well as the mental planes. Laws if the lower plane are governed by laws of the higher plane. Therefore everything supernatural is actually natural when we have an understanding of a multidimensional universe.

The universal laws are essentially the whole process of Divinity, Consciousness or Energy in motion (E-motion). When we understand these laws and apply them in our life anything we want can be created. Because the same laws that natures uses to create a forest or a galaxy or a human body can also bring about the fulfillment of all our desires.

All things in the universe have a connection with the universal mind. Nothing can exist without that connection. It is the universal mind by which all things consist and have their being. We are connected to everything else through the universal mind. Separation is an illusion for we are all one.

We can use our mind at will. All power is within and is absolutely within our control. This is referring to mental power which is the universal aspect of God. We can all train and develop our skill in using mental power. Visualization, affirmation, reality creation, mental influence, hypnosis, sublimal messaging and subconscious programming are all forms of using mental power.

Using mental power to make things happen is what the concept of True Magic is fundamentally about. Magic is the control of the visible world through invisible means. Magic in its absolute form is purely mental. Magic could be more properly referred to as Manifestation. What you create in your mind becomes manifested in physical reality over time. The Law of Attraction is whatever you focus on most of the time, you get. That is why we all create our individual realities by the thoughts we think.

Holistic health and alternative medicine use Magic to manifest healing. Our physical bodies are simply channels of our energy bodies. Consciousness affects our state of being in all aspects. It is the metaphysical understanding of bodily function in holistic health surpassing the understanding of formal medical science that enables curing of many incurable diseases and physical conditions.

The universal power of mental Magic is neutral. It can be used for either good or evil. What differentiates between Black Magic and White Magic is the intent of the user. Just like a person can pray another well, a person can also pray another sick. Sending thoughts of love, joy, peace, well being and happiness to someone will influence that person’s mind in a positive way. Sending thoughts of intimidation, discord, doubt, weakness and discouragement will influence his mind in a negative way.

Realizing the psychic nature of our thoughts and learning how to use them consciously and effectively enables us to be much better at creating the reality we desire in account of the greatest good of all. There is nothing wrong with developing our psychic abilities and expressing our God given powers for the betterment of life and the universe, but the problem comes when we are so content with the universal aspect of God that we overlook or deny the existence of the personal aspect of God completely.

Knowledge of the universal aspect of God is enough to give us tremendous amount of power to rule the universe and achieve our dreams, desires, destiny and almost everything we could ever want in this life on Earth. But there is the personal aspect of God that we should come to know about. It is more than just using our God given natural divine powers. It is about having a relationship with Him.

There is a personal God and He is the personal aspect. Theosophy, New Age, Gnosis and various other religions and philosophies deny the existence of a personal God. They believe that there cannot be a personal God because God is infinite and a personality is finite. They believe that the universal mind can only manifest through the individual mind and not on its own.

The truth is that the trinity of the Godhead are three distinct individualities. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three actual persons. To have a relationship with God is to relate with the personal aspect of God. It is the universal aspect of God that is infinite but the personal aspect of God is finite. God has a fixed personality that has boundaries without variableness nor shadow of turning. God cannot lie, God is love, God is holy. The person of God is only perfect and complete good. In him is no evil.

For such a reason as this, God cannot coexist with sin in his presence. Anything that has sin is separated from the personal aspect of God although it is still connected to the universal aspect. Understanding this is what solves the paradox between Theosophy and Christianity. We are all connected to God and can draw inspiration from the universal aspect of the divine but we cannot have true fellowship with Him unless we are washed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Salvation is of two aspects. Salvation from ignorance through knowledge (Gnosis - Learning) and salvation from sins through knowledge (Oida - To Know Fully) and belief of Jesus Christ as God and savior.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Why does Theosophy, New Age and Gnosis contain so much knowledge about the nature of the Universe and God to the extent that it makes Christianity appear as if we know so little? The reason is because one side has been focusing mainly on the universal aspect of God while the other has been focusing mainly on the personal aspect.

The question is who is The One at work manipulating world events and making things happen that way? The person can be none other than the most powerful heavenly being in the universe. The one who was full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. His name means Bringing Light. His name is Lucifer the anointed cherub. Who else has all knowledge of the universe and the different planes of reality than him? Who else knows more about the nature of God than him?

But being the greatest in heaven, he chose to think that he could be like the most High. He desired to exalt his throne above the stars of God but Jesus cast him out of heaven. Lucifer fell like lightning from heaven because he had sinned against God with his wrong thinking and ignorance. Though he was full of wisdom, he still had the free will to choose his thoughts. He chose to think wrongly and hence sinned through ignorance. Wrong thinking is ignorance and ignorance the only evil that leads to all other forms of evil.

And now the Bringer of Light is at work making people believe that there is No God or that God exist but it is the God of a greater scope than the God of Christianity. His intention is to make spiritual people focus purely on the universal aspect of God and deny the personal aspect of God. By denying God as a personality, the person of Jesus Christ as God is denied. The Angel of Light’s grand scheme is to make people develop themselves spiritually in of the universal aspect of God and then inserting himself in one name or another somewhere along the path as the God they should believe in.

Lucifer knows that he cannot make a direct lie be a universally accepted truth. Therefore he knows that the best thing he can do is to promote the truth, not the whole but a portion. He knows that a lie cannot contend with the truth, therefore the art of deception is not to enforce the lie but to conceal the truth. The lie can be enforced when the truth is hidden. The way the conceal the truth is to control the vision that looks upon it, by making it focus on one area and away from another. Magician’s misdirection. The portion of the truth that is missing can be replaced with error that can be complemented with the remaining portion of the truth creating the perfect illusion.

2Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

His other intention is to keep the Christians in as much ignorance as possible about the universal aspect of God. The less knowledge they have about the universal aspect, the less power they have. Lucifer makes Christians believe all kinds of things are satanic, evil and not of God when those things truly belong to God and not him. He even uses scripture and the law of God to make people shun away from knowledge considered to be doctrines of devils. The truth is, truth is mixed with error in every place. What good is light among light? Christians are called to be a light among darkness.

Many symbols that belong to God are neither good nor evil, even though Lucifer may have made use of them in his own works. The serpent was created by God as the most subtle creature in the garden. The entire signs of the Orion from Virgo to Leo was placed by God in the heavens to tell the story of salvation and Jesus Christ. Virgo represents the virgin Mary and Leo represents Jesus as the victorious Lion of Judah. All angels are angels of light. Lucifer is no longer really an Angel of Light but a Prince of Darkness.

Lucifer was God’s greatest creation which had fallen. He believed that he could be like God because he and God were made of the same substance which is consciousness. He persuaded all of heaven’s angels to join him in becoming like God against the permission of the Godhead by claiming that the trinity was egoistical to disallow any other being to be their equal. He only succeeded in turning a third of the angels to his cause and fought against God but they lost. Lucifer became Satan which means Adversary of God. He was cast out of heaven and into the earth where God had created Man.

Revelation 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Lucifer did the same thing with Man that he did with Angels. He told Adam and Eve that they could become God if they ate the forbidden fruit so that they would know good and evil like God. God had originally given Man dominion over the earth but when Lucifer got Man to sin against God, Man’s dominion was shared with Satan. The fall of Man gave place of the world throne to Lucifer. That is why Satan could tempt Jesus with the deal of sharing ownership of the material kingdom if Jesus would worship him.

Satan may be the god of this world, but God is still the ultimate owner of the material world. Whatever we as Christians touch in the material world becomes redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Jesus had come to redeem perfect purity of Man and God’s shared dominion of the material. To us nothing is secular, everything is sacred.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

There are only two to think about in this world, Jesus and Lucifer. The two are not the same. When you are not thinking of one, you are not aware of what he is doing and may attribute his work to the other. Keep the two in mind so that you can keep them separate. For every matter there is antimatter, but Light and Anti Light are exactly alike. True Light is pure and never changing. Anti Light shifts one degree beyond light and changes into pure darkness which is at the other extreme end of the polarity. Nothing can be above God. God is the highest, to go beyond the highest is to fall into the lowest.

Universal Knowledge is Universal Power. For this reason, the Children of the world are wiser than Children of Light. It is time for the Christians to be wise as serpents and use the Angel of Light’s tactics against himself. The tables have to be turned around against the Lucifer. We are the greater serpents, just like the serpent of Moses rod that ate up all the serpents of Pharaoh’s magicians. The wisest Children of Light are those that truly understand both the universal and personal aspect of God.

Stair Lift Prices

Stair lifts allows aged and disabled people to live a normal life. It is a pretty new technology that has surfaced recently that allows people who have difficulty walking up and down the stairs. An electric rail is installed along the side of the stairs and the disabled can sit on the seat and with a press of a button, it will bring the person up the stairs. It’s similar to how a monorail works except on a smaller scale.

Of course, installing a stair lift is not cheap and before purchasing or renting a stair lift, there are a couple of points you need to take note.

Type of Stairs

The prices of stair lifts will depend on the type of stair lifts you plan to purchase or rent. And this will depend on the type of stairs you have in your house. Generally speaking, curved stair lifts are more expensive than straight rail stair lifts. Other types of stair lifts such as wheelchair platform stair lifts, outdoor stair lifts and goods stair lifts are also available.

What You Need

It can be difficult to determine the best type of stair lifts for your house. In this case, I would highly recommend you speak to the stair lift company first before purchasing one. Get quotations from different stair lift manufacturers before deciding which is the best. Also factor in the warranty period, cost of installation etc as it can be quite costly to repair or install a stair lift.

Stair lifts prices are dropping tremendously as more and more people start to realize the benefits of stair lifts. If you can’t afford to purchase a stair lift, most stair lift companies also provide stair lift rental service. It is much more affordable and the cost of installation and warranty is already accounted for.

How Much Do You Really Need to Retire?

Introduction

How much do we really need to retire? There are four factors involved here.

  • The amount of capital invested into the retirement fund.
  • The rate of capital growth.
  • The amount of time for the compounding to work.
  • The amount of income generated for retirement once the capital is established.

We shall go through a few case studies here. I trust they will help you understand the need to start early, and to choose the correct vehicle for growth.

Fixed Deposit Instruments (aka Certificate of Deposit)

These are our assumptions.

  • $200 invested in this instrument each month. I believe this is a reasonable amount to set aside each month for our retirement.
  • Interest rate at average of 3% per annum (0.25% per month). This is not impossible. Here in Singapore, we had FD rates of 6% before, but currently we are at a super-low of 1.25%. Over our assumption of 30 years required for capital growth, 3% should be reasonable.
  • Retirement in 30 years after the investment plan.
  • This part is tricky. The fluctuations in interest rates can really destroy your retirement objectives. But let us assume that there is an economic depression akin to what we are experiencing now at the time of retirement, resulting in current interest rates at 1.25% per annum (0.104% per month). Tell you what, let us try this even at a good 6% per annum (0.5% per month).

This results in final capital of $116,547.38 with an investment of $72,000. Unfortunately, the retirement withdrawal each month is only $121.21. This is barely even subsistence living! The CPF Board itself allows a withdrawal of $300. To me, FD instruments represent the most ridiculous planning for retirement. Even assuming 6% per annum, we are talking about $582.74 a month. If you want to retire on that living standard, I really have nothing to say.

Stock Market Instruments

Many insurance plans use this instrument as well. Money Market instruments have performances slightly less than equity markets, but it is similar enough not to matter. The average investor would use Mutual Funds run by professional fund managers instead of investing on their own. Personally, I believe with good financial education, the personally investor can do better than the professional fund managers. This is due to something called the Institutional Imperative.

  • $200 invested in this instrument each month. I believe this is a reasonable amount to set aside each month for our retirement.
  • Stock market average performance of 8% per annum (0.67% per month). This has been historically proven accurate when you talk about a time frame of 30 years. Shorter time frames give wide fluctuations. The shorter it is, the wider the fluctuations - even negative growth is possible!
  • Retirement in 30 years after the investment plan.
  • With stable companies like utilities and food, yearly dividends should average out to 6% (0.5% per month). Companies with business cycles can vary from no dividends to huge 12% or more dividends. Let us assume 6%, otherwise, we can write about it forever!

This results in a final capital of $300,503.50 with an investment of $72,000. The retirement withdrawal each month is $1,502.52. This is considered pretty good for someone who supposedly has no major financial commitments. I beg to differ, however - a major illness in the family can wipe out a big portion of the nest egg. Also, I believe after working for our children and our parents, our retirement is meant to be enjoyed. I personally would find it difficult to enjoy retirement on $1,502.52.

Private Investment Fund

I used to run a private investment fund, yielding much better returns. The better returns is due to the use of derivatives to secure leverage over the underlying stock. And since I buy the underlying stock as collateral as well, I am pretty much covered in case the market moves against me. I have since then closed the fund.

  • $200 invested in this instrument each month. I believe this is a reasonable amount to set aside each month for our retirement.
  • My investments net me conservatively 2% per month (24% per annum uncompounded) on my money.
  • Retirement in 15 years after the investment plan (yes, I can retire that fast!).
  • Continued investment at 2% per month (24% per annum uncompounded).

This results in a final capital of $343,208.31 on an investment of $36,000. The retirement withdrawal is $6,864.17. Now I can definitely live comfortably and well off on that amount!

Conclusion

My most sincere hope is that you will think deeply about the amount of money you will need to fund your retirement. Most of us do not spend enough time thinking about it, and find ourselves not able to have a good retirement when we can no longer earn the kind of pay we used to have.

How to Make an Easter Bunny Cake

Making an Easter Bunny Cake

For many years, chocolate has had the poor reputation of being “bad for you.” But researchers have now discovered that chocolate contains as many if not more antioxidants than tea.

To make this double-chocolate Easter bunny cake (chocolate cake and chocolate frosting), use your round layer-cake pan.
In addition to the cake and frosting, you will need:

*-jelly beans
*-coconut
*-malted milk eggs (the large ones that come in a variety of colors)
*-2 wafer cookies (for the ears)

Cake

*-1 1/2 cups flour
*-1 cup sugar
*-1 teaspoon baking powder
*-1/2 teaspoon salt
*-1/3 cup cocoa
*-3/4 cup milk
*-1/2 cup cooking oil
*-1 egg
*-1 teaspoon vanilla

Measure all ingredients into a medium-sized bowl. Use an electric mixer and blend at low speed for 1 minute. Scrape the bowl while blending. Beat at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes in a greased and floured round layer-cake pan. Allow the cake to cool thoroughly before removing it from the pan.

Frosting

*-3 cups powdered sugar
*-1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon cocoa
*-6 tablespoons butter, softened (or margarine, if you prefer)
*-1/4 cup milk

Measure all ingredients into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Blend at low speed for 1 minute. Scrape the bowl while blending. Beat at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping occasionally. If frosting seems too stiff, add milk by the teaspoon until the frosting reaches the desired consistency. If the frosting seems too thin, add powdered sugar by the tablespoon until the frosting reaches the desired consistency.

How to Make Your Chocolate Easter Bunny Cake

Remove the cake from the round cake pan. Cut in half. Frost the flat side of one half and put the two pieces together. Place on a platter or a large plate, cut side down.

Frost the cake with chocolate frosting.

Place two jelly beans for the eyes and one jelly bean for the nose. Use a large malted milk egg for the tail.

With a sharp knife, cut a hole on each side of the head where you want to place the ears. To make the ears, use the sharp knife to trim a wafer cookie into the shape of bunny ears. Frost the ears. Put a little frosting into the holes to anchor the ears.

Sprinkle coconut around the Easter bunny cake. Decorate with jelly beans and malted milk eggs.

Did you know that it is entirely possible to create your own natural deodorants? Creating your own deodorants cuts down costs, helps the environment and is a lot better for your skin!

Why Use Natural Deodorant?

Natural deodorant is definitely better for your skin than the ones which are laced with chemicals. They control the sweat naturally and do not clog up the pores like other deodorants can do.

They come in two different forms, either ones which you can eat to improve your own unique scent, or ones which are used externally to cover up the body odor. It is also possible that some natural deodorants actually work with your body odor to compliment the natural smell, rather than masking it. This usually occurs because it does not allow the offensive bacteria to grow.

How to Create Your Own Natural Deodorant

There are several ways in which you can make your own deodorant and some of them are extremely simple. If you want to first make sure that you smell nicer naturally, it may be worth looking into what your diet consists of. Junk food can often make our bodies smell quite bad, and if you tend to eat a lot of meat that can also cause your natural body odor to be quite strong.

Yogurt is supposed to be good for changing the bacteria within the body, and therefore it is a good food to eat when wanting to improve body odor.

Now, the ordinary deodorant acts as a body spray which uses a nice smelling fragrance to reduce the levels of bacteria. Unfortunately they do not stop you from sweating, and if you just use deodorant instead of antiperspirant, you will notice how quickly you will start to smell. When you do start smelling, deodorant will mask the smell but it will not get rid of the sweat itself so you will still end up with sweat patches.

The amount of alcohol you drink can also have a negative effect. So, take a look at what you are eating before you decide upon which natural deodorant you would like to create. That way you will have the best possible chance of creating something that will work really well. If you are really struggling, sage and peppermint are quite good natural deodorizes used in drinks. Sage should be used in tea, and a couple of drops of peppermint should be added to an ounce of water and drank every hour or so. Some other natural deodorizers include:

Witch Hazel. Used as an underarm splash

Borax Mixed With White Willow Bark. Acts as a deodorant wash for strong smelling sweat. It is better to also add a few drops of Patchouli also for best results

Chaparral. - You use this externally under the armpits as a natural deodorizer
Orange and Lemon Peel. Blended together into a powder, these two make a really good, fruity underarm deodorizer.

Those are just a few low maintenance natural deodorizers you can create and use, however, if you have a little extra time to spare there are some really good natural deodorizers you can create including:

Unisex Lavender Body Powder

This Lavender Body Powder is great for both men and women, and men in particular seem to really like the scent on their body. All you need is 2oz of Lavender, PO and 2os of unscented talcum powder.

Simply mix the ingredients together and sift them through a fine sieve. Be sure that any large particles from the ingredients are discarded. That is basically all you need to do and if you want a more refreshing scent, half an ounce of lemon peel could easily be added.

Violet Body Powder

This natural deodorizing powder has a really light, pleasant scent and is mainly suited to women. To create it you will need 1oz of powdered Violet flowers, 4 drops of Violet oil, 2 drops of bitter Almond, 1oz of powdered Orris root and 2oz of unscented talcum powder.

To start simply add the Violet and the bitter Almond oil onto the Violet flowers in a container. Close the container and then shake to mix the ingredients together. Now add the Orris root and close the container and shake once more. Next add the talcum powder and mix the ingredients thoroughly before sifting them through a fine sieve. Store the mixture in an airtight container and simply use when needed.

Overall, it is quite simple to make your own deodorant once you have the ingredients that you need. It is not that expensive and your body will really thank you for it.

Natural deodorants work just as well, if not better than shop bought ones and you have the added benefit of knowing what is actually in them. So what are you waiting for? Try making your own deodorant today, you never know, you might like it!

How To Choose The Best 10 Minute Oil Change Service Center

Here are a few things to consider the next time you want a quick 10 minute oil change.

Location
Since you’re a busy person, you want to make the most of the time you have available. And spending a lot of time driving just to find a 10 minute oil change center isn’t going to make your life any easier. So you want a place that can be gotten to quickly so you can have your car serviced and be on your way. In most cases, a ten to fifteen minute drive is ideal if you want to get in and get out so you can take care of other matters.

Just as important as how long it takes to get to the 10 minute oil change service center is how easy it is to get in and out. Trying to cross 3 lanes of heavy traffic will probably take more time than it will to get your oil changed. And when time is precious, the last thing you want is to be stuck in the middle of the road for fifteen minutes just trying to make a left.

Convenience
Believe it or not there are still some places that require you to get out of your car and wait for your 10 minute oil change service to be done. And while these places sometimes offer 10 minute oil changes, it’s really a hassle for consumers, especially when they’re pressed for time.

Busy people like you should look for a place that allows you to drive in, sit in your car and drive right out as soon as the work is finished. There really isn’t much of a reason to leave your car for a 10 minute oil change unless you’re having other things done to it that’ll take more than 10 minutes to complete.

Services Provided
10 minute oil change centers usually offer a variety of service packages. All will change your oil, but many will check and top off your car’s fluids, check your air filter, check tire pressure, check wiper blades and even lubricate vital parts.

You should look for a place that will give your car a thorough inspection in addition to changing your oil. It generally doesn’t take up any more time and will give you the comfort of knowing that your vehicle is as safe as can be when you drive away. While you may not always need those extras, it’s nice to know they’re available and that most problems can be fixed while you wait.

Price
The sheer number of 10 minute oil change facilities to choose from is good for you because competition helps to keep prices down. Still, you want to find a place that’s not going to gouge you for basic service. In my area the standard price for a basic 10 minute oil change is around $20, which is a fair price for the convenience, time savings and not having to get under the car myself. From that base price you can usually opt for additional services and checks to be performed on your vehicle.

Oil Types
Valvoline, Castrol, Pennzoil, Lucas, 10W30, 10W40 - it’s all Greek to me, but it may mean something for your particular vehicle. Today, cars and trucks are advanced machines and some demand certain types of oil.

While most 10 minute oil change places offer a primary brand of oil, many stock competing brands for those that have a preference or a special need. Just be careful because, in many instances, if you opt for a brand that’s something other than the primary one offered by the service center, you’ll pay extra.

So if you have a preference of Castrol over Valvoline, then find a place that offers that as their brand of choice.

Time
I know that a 10 minute oil change should mean exactly that, but if you get additional services that some centers provide you’ll probably end up being a little longer than ten minutes. How much longer is acceptable is a matter of preference, but ideally you should be in and out within 15 minutes, if you get the full service. For basic oil change service 10 minutes should be the norm.

Still you don’t want to feel as if you’re being rushed through like cattle. A 10 minute oil change is fast, but if the company goes over because they’re being thorough, then that’s better for you and your car.

People
It seems like finding good customer service these days is like finding the Holy Grail. If you can find a 10 minute oil change place that offers quick service AND has a friendly, knowledgeable staff, then you’ve hit the jackpot.

A good staff who knows what they’re doing is important because they not only treat you like a person as opposed to a fistful of dollars, but they can also alert you to problems you might not have known about - like a leaking radiator - until it was too late.

While these might seem like a lot of things to consider - especially for something as simple as a 10 minute oil change - you and your car will be better off once you find a place that offers everything you’re looking for.

Tim LaGanke, Jr. is president of QuickChange Oil, a 10 minute oil change center, with locations across Cleveland, Ohio. QuickChange is currently seeking applicants interested in the oil change franchising business. Please contact LaGanke at gank@quickchangeoil.com for more information.

The Main Differences Between Deodorant and Antiperspirant Deodorant

Sweat is a natural occurrence and it happens to every single person in the world. However, each person sweats different amounts each and every day, and the activities we participate in, help to determine exactly how much we will sweat.

For example, everyone is said to sweat at least a pint overnight whilst they are sleeping. Then throughout the day, if you do a lot of exercise and your job involves being on your feet a lot, you will no doubt be sweating quite a lot too.

Whilst others who have a sit down job and who are not as active will not sweat anywhere near as much. So this means that if you are doing more exercise, you will need a better deodorant than one designed for somebody who is not as active!

Overall, we have 2.6 million sweat glands in our entire body and both males and females have exactly the same amount. However, results show that women are better at taking the heat than men; therefore their deodorants are usually weaker than male ones. So how do you know which deodorant is right for you? What is the difference between an ordinary deodorant and an antiperspirant?

Deodorant versus Antiperspirant

A lot of people are uneducated about the difference between antiperspirants and ordinary deodorants. First of all an antiperspirant is mainly what you should use for under your arms. It helps to reduce the sweating by controlling the flow of the underarm sweat, and it also masks any body odor. Basically, the active ingredients which are contained in the antiperspirant dissolve the sweat on the skin surface, and it forms a gel which reduces the amount of sweat released.

However, whilst antiperspirants are definitely better at eliminating sweat, there have been some health concerns over the past few years. Some experts say that there are health risks with antiperspirants due to the aluminum compounds in it.

However, there have also been potential health risks found in ordinary deodorant due to the parabens which are found in them. In fact, some of the health risks they have been linked to shockingly include breast cancer, though critics argue that the studies were flawed so the results are not accurate.

So which one should you choose? Well, some healthcare experts say that although antiperspirant is great for eliminating sweat, clogging up the pores may not be the healthiest way to go about it. Therefore they recommend ordinary deodorants. However, it is entirely down to personal choice so if you do want to use an antiperspirant, it is entirely up to you.

Of course if you are still unsure you could bypass both options completely and look for more natural alternatives. If you do not sweat quite so much, it is recommended that you use baking soda under the arms. This helps many people though some cannot bear to use it. In natural stores you should find some deodorants, though they may not all be that natural so it is always better to check the label first!

Overall, it is entirely up to you which one you choose to use. Antiperspirants are by far the best choice though they are not always as perfumed as ordinary deodorants. It all depends upon how much you sweat so make a judgment based upon that. Whichever one you choose to go with, you should find a huge variety in your local drug store!

Get A Taste Of Burgundy In France

If you have bought a property in France and want to get to know the best places for food and wine, look no further than Burgundy.

This historic region in the central-eastern area of France is located in the Rhone and Saone river valleys, with routes from Paris, the Rhineland and to the Mediterranean.

The area’s capital is Dijon and is most famous for its mustard and black currant liqueur Cassis, which originated there.

Beef Burgundy Beyond these two culinary delights is the ever popular Beef burgundy and French Burgundy wine.

The former is a slow cooking stew which is made particularly delicious by its red wine sauce.
It is prepared with cubed beef stewed in a full-bodied wine and generally flavoured with garlic, onions, carrots and lardoons with a bouquet garni. Enjoy!

Nothing goes better with this dish than the local Burgundy wine. Red Burgundy wines are usually made with the Pinot Noir grape while white Burgundy wines are generally made with Chardonnay grapes.

Beaune No visit to the region would be complete without a trip to the lovely town of Beaune which is nestled among the sleepy villages of the Burgundy region.

It is often seen as the centre of the area’s commercial wine trade and attracts tourists throughout the year who are hoping to get a taster of what the wines have to offer.

Beaune hotels are in abundance but if you fancy wine tasting, it’s worth booking well in advance.
