Who else hears sounds from the pictures in your PowerPoint Presentation?

You will not know unless you ask. Just asking will add more interaction to your PowerPoint presentations.

When you do your next PowerPoint presentation include a few pictures without text. Ask your audience “What sounds do you hear from this picture?”

Note: Be careful to distinguish from sounds versus words spoken. That is another exercise you could use with another slide.

At first your audience may think you are crazy. But stay quiet and they will give you responses. As each person shares the sounds they hear you could, if a small group, record the sounds on a chart. If presenting to a larger group ask someone to record the responses for you.

After everyone shares repeat what has been shared. When a few minutes have passed look at each of the responses written on the chart or paper and ask the person what in the picture made sounds to them.

Find a way to link the points in the picture to learning points in your overall presentation. This will enable you to connect the responses to material you have already covered.

For example, if you show a picture of a sunrise someone in your audience might say they hear the sound of birds. If you were speaking on retirement planning you could comment on retirement being viewed as a new day of opportunity.

You will find it fascinating to hear the perspective of each person as it relates to their perceived sounds. You could also comment on how each person perceives retirement differently based on the sounds they have heard in their life.

This strategy will engage your audience in a lively discussion and provide an interesting transition from the standard slide show process.

Time-starved gadget crazed home bodies have taken a new step towards the “Jetstones” cartoon version of house cleaning with a whole new generation of robot vacuums. Insert a couple of AA or D batteries. Select “go”. The little round disc R2D2 like robot never complains. Instead, while you return to the sofa to continue watching a film or game, your robot vacuum “rolls up its microprocessor sleeves” and settles into the task of cleaning your rooms.

Press release are a great way to let the entire internet world about something big that just happened or something big that is about to happen. Maybe your organization has just won a major award for something. Or maybe you are about to launch a new product. Press releases get indexed by the search engines and help you to achieve your number one goal and that is to drive traffic to your site or sites. Personally I use press releases just before I am about to start another large article series. Many of my series are 10 to twenty articles long.

Why Should You Write Them

Writing press releases can be very beneficial to your business in so many ways. Many editors will look at your press release. If they feel it is going to get people interested then they will publish it into their ezines. By doing that you are ensuring yourself free traffic. It is also another link to your website and most of us know what that means. The more positive links you have to your site the more times the search engines are going to pick it up thus moving it higher in the rankings. Finally I would like to think you are running an honest no scam business. By issuing press releases you can keep your business fresh. Your loyal customers will see the growth and remain loyal while knew customers will realize that this is possibly something they should be looking at.

How Should I Write Them.

Well practise does make perfect. The more you write the better you will get at it. The most important thing you have to remember is that a press release is not meant to be an advertisement. If you want to put it out that way chances are it will get rejected and even if it does get released publishers won’t be interested because they are looking for content that will provide value for their readers. You’re not writing a book. You want to keep your releases to one page and two at a maximum. Don’t wreck your credibility with the publishers and readers. Just be honest. You can use some hype but don’t lie or embellish. You also want to be straight forward and to the point. A press release isn’t the place to pretty up your story. Write it in a way that everyone can understand. You have to remember your going to have everyone from teenage dropouts to doctors reading your press release. I don’t care what you are selling you need to make your press release go out to everyone. If it is directed towards a certain audience it’s going to look too much like an advertisement.

For me press releases have become a great source of traffic. Especially when I am about to start a new article series. Anyone who has read my prior series usually watch for the next one to come out and with the right keywords anyone looking for something in particular might come along my release thus possibly adding another customer.

In the day of internet at any given time you can find hundreds and hundreds of ads to help your marriage succeed. There are books, tapes, DVDs, counsellors and lessons of every different kind. I decided to write a short article on what I think has helped my marriage to succeed for the last twenty years. Don’t get me wrong. I believe there is value in the information we find but I thought I would share what made my relationship so successful. These are in no means necessarily in any order.

1.- Communication

Communication is one of the most important parts in maintaining a successful relationship. It is important to always keep the lines open. You or your partner might not always like what they are seeing but it’s important to convey that to one another. Make sure the communication goes both ways though. It can’t always be problems that you’re communicating about. You have to make sure you communicate about the good things as well.

2.- Honesty

Lying is a great way to head a marriage into a disaster. No matter how big or small a lie is a lie. The marriage has to be open enough that you can convey anything to your partner. If you feel a need to lie then there is a weakness in your marriage. Once you start lying and get away with it then the lies will continue eventually leading to disaster and very possibly a break up.

3.- Trust

If you don’t trust your partner then you have to figure out why and see if the issue can be resolved. If it can’t be then the time has come for both of you to walk away. It is so important to have trust. You or your partner has to have time away from each other. Those are the times when trust is the most evident. If you can’t let your partner go out for a night with his or her buddies without calling them on the cell phone all night or continuously wondering what they are doing then you better get this resolved. It might work for a while but eventually things will come to an ugly screeching halt.

4.- I Love You

This is a phrase I must have used millions of times in my twenty years of marriage. It is so important to tell your partner that you love them. After twenty years they know but still need to hear it. I never hang up the phone without saying it. I never go to bed without saying it. You can’t be embarrassed to say those three words. Hell I have even yelt them out in the mall before more than once.

5.- Show Affection

In order for a marriage to last that long you have to keep the affection strong. You have to maintain a healthy sex life. If things go wrong there it is important to figure out why and deal with it. You have to be able to give your spouse hugs and kisses. And you have to be able to show your affection in public. I don’t mean that you should act like a bunch of teenagers but on a walk you should still hold hands and be able to give each other a kiss.

What I am writing about today is a Truth for which I need to be reminded at this particular moment. I’m no different than you in that sometimes I also get fixated on having things a certain way.

No doubt you already know all about ‘The Secret’, aka ‘The Law of Attraction’ books, videos and dvd’s that are currently all over the internet and throughout our Universe. . . including The Oprah Winfrey show. Yes, a big deal it is, indeed!

And, I feel sure you already know that this law of attraction principle is nothing new in that it has been a part of our existence since the beginning of what we call time. . . and will continue to be so through eternity.

And, like ‘The Secret’ being spread all over via grandiose marketing, what I am about to reveal to you is not a secret, nor has it ever been. It has been quietly, steadily expressing itself right in front of you all along. You just haven’t heard it because of all the endless chatter of your own secret demands.

So, quiet your mind and listen up. Here is The Secret - the Supreme Secret - to Having Everything You Want. . .

“Want What Life Wants.” It’s that simple.

“Wait a minute, you say. What if I don’t want what life wants, or don’t want what life brings to me?” Well, has it not yet occurred to you that perhaps your source of anxiety, or sorrow, is that of your thinking your life should be a certain way, rather than allowing life to bring itself to you.

It is not what life has brought to you that you don’t like. It is your perception of how your life should be and your reactions that turn the gift of life into resentment and disappointment of it. When life has failed to conform to your ideas of what you think you need and want, you deem yourself unhappy, unworthy, or unsuccessful. . . or whatever. It is your ideas and your perception about life that have failed you, not life itself.

Your false nature, your ego, will tell you that you must have control over all that is going on in your life and that your life must be a certain way in order for you to be happy and successful. This causes you both mental and emotional suffering. It is the primary source of your stress.

The truth is that no human being has total control of life. And, most importantly, no human being needs total control of life. Life IS. And, When you want what life wants, your wish is for life itself.

Your real nature is not separate from life. It is a part of the higher cosmic energy which fills your body. This is life itself, not some perhaps false idea of what life is, and this is who you truly are.

Let life bring itself to you. Welcome it, relax and flow with it, rather than resisting or trying to control and form it into your perceived, and often false, ideas of how your life should be. Remember it is your perceptions and re-actions to what life brings you that turn the gift of life into struggle and disappointment.

Among numerous other wondrous things, life wants you to be consciously aware, happy, healthy, wealthy and wise. And, when living in the true nature of the spiritual energy being that you are, life can bring you this, and more. It is simply your sometimes false perception as to exactly what all this is and how everything in your life should be that can cause you anguish and conflict.

Want what life wants. . . for life wants what you want. Place your energy and attention on all the abundant and positive possibilities of life, and allow them to come to you in a manner which is for the highest benefit of all. In doing so, you can experience The Secret. . . the Supreme Secret. . . to Having Everything You Want.

This is part four in my prosperity articles. This series is making out to be a long one but if people are getting any good advice out of it then it is worth it. For the most part affiliate marketing is how I put these into practice but they can be used no matter how your financial marketing works. I hope you will come back frequently to look at my newly published articles and I would hope you would tell you friends about them.

1.- Religion Doesn’t Matter

Some people might think that religion comes into play as soon as you mention the word faith. Well faith doesn’t have to do at all with religion. It doesn’t matter what religion you are a part of. For that fact you don’t even have to believe in religion to have faith. The only thing you have to believe is that you will get the results you’re looking for. So as long as your faith is focused and not divided then it can be there and help anyone.

2.- Using Your Faith

If you decide that you want something then you have to decide that you’re going to get it. You have to believe in yourself. You can’t let other people sway your decisions. Once you put a plan in place you can’t sway from it in any negative manner no matter what. If there’s a positive sway that’s okay because it will reinforce your faith. Faith isn’t something that you can have more or less of but rather it’s determined on whether you decide to use it or not. It’s kind of like an all or nothing situation.

3.- The Building Of Faith

So imagine you are connected to what you want through some sort of imaginary pipe. Now the energy that you send through that pipe will determine the level of faith. It took me a long time to find that pipe but once I did my affiliate marketing increased 10 fold. It sis this because I believed in my faith. This can work for almost anything. However don’t kid yourself into believing that faith is going to win a lottery or something like that for you because for faith to have merit it has to be something that you have some control over.

4.- Faith And Prosperity

So it doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you have faith. If you hate the job you are in now then it’s impossible to have faith thus it’s impossible to succeed at it. You have to keep looking until you find the right thing. It took me 9 years to find out what I wanted to do until I found affiliate marketing and now by having faith i8n the program and myself no one can take it away from me. I knew the money was there and all I had to do was go and work for it. That pretty powerful if you think about it. And that was the final source of my greatest prosperity.

Well I am back with my fifth article and it is exciting to see how many people are interested in the fun of fishing. These articles are meant for everyone. Some of the more experienced anglers probably know a lot about what I am talking about already but I think back to when I knew nothing about fishing. I wish there would have been something like that. Eventually this will be an eBook so take advantage of it while you can. I have decided to change it up a bit and submit random tips. I hope you enjoy

1.- Don’t Let Rain Ruin Your Fishing

Most heavy rains will cause rivers and streams to rise and get muddy. Fishing just usually isn’t very good when the water is turned to mud. However there is no reason to worry or let the rain wreck your fishing trip. Move to the tail waters of a reservoir or lake. By the time the dirty water gets there it is usually settled out. Eventually it may get dirty here but at least you were able to salvage your day and there’s a good chance fish will be caught there.

2.- See Your Line When Ice Fishing

The clear line that you use while ice fishing for pan fish can at times be almost invisible to see. Here’s a tip that an old fisherman taught me. I spool fluorescent yellow 4 pound test on my ice fishing rig. At the end I tie on a 4 foot clear leader. So now when my line is on the ice it is easy to see and in the water the fish still only see the hook and bait.

3.- Built Up Ice On Your Auger

Most guys after drilling a hole in the ice just lay the auger down in the snow. The combination of water and snow form ice on the end of the auger rendering it useless for the next hole. I carry a small BAL peen hammer with me in my truck. When I ice up my blades I use the hammer to get the ice off. You usually just have to tap lightly and it will fall off. However make sure you’re careful not to hit the edge of the blade because then you will be in a worse situation then you were with the ice.

4.- Bass Fishing In Slop

If you have a high speed reel this will give you a distinct advantage when fishing in slop. Firstly when your hook fills up with weeds you can get it back quickly to clean it off. Secondly if you keep your rod tip high you can get a better set with a high speed reel. And thirdly with the high-speed reel you can lift the fish a lot quicker and hopefully stop it from diving into the slop.

5.- Fresh Pork Rinds

We all know how fast a pork rind can dry up especially in the hot sun. Well if you don’t want to put the rind back in the jar because you’re going to use it later just wrap the rind in a wet cloth. When you come back to use it later it will be as fresh as brand new.
