Immortal Runners - Rob Decastella

As tough as the Australian countryside and as kind and forthcoming as the best of its people, Rob DeCastella represents one of the all-time greats of running, giving the sport a new edge and flavour with his unprecedented racing zeal. In the eighties DeCastella, or ‘Deek’ as he is affectionately known by friends, became for the marathon what his fellow Australian Ron Clarke was for the 10,000 metres in the sixties - an icon, inspiration and example.

DeCastella’s victories in the marathon include the first ever World Championships gold medal in 1983, two Commonwealth Games gold medals in ‘82 and ‘86, one World Record of 2:08:18 in Fukuoka, Japan in 1981, and big city marathon wins in Boston, Fukuoka and Rotterdam. Despite of never winning an Olympic medal - a fate too often suffered by the world’s greatest runners - he finished in the top ten in three consecutive Olympic marathons, a feat not repeated until this day.

DeCastella quickly earned a reputation for his unbelievable grit and toughness during races, especially in the last six miles of the marathon when worse gets to worst. Olympic champion Frank Shorter commented in 1983, “DeCastella is stronger over the last stages of a marathon than any marathoner ever before.” The comment was made right after Deek had surged away from the field in the last kilometres of the World Championships marathon in Helsinki and made his claim to world’s best marathoner official. Two other epic races stand out in his long career.

One year earlier in 1982 DeCastella ran his first Commonwealth Games marathon, which was to become one of the most unforgettable and gruelling finales in marathon racing. Being over a minute behind on the leaders DeCastella made his move at mile 18 and finally caught up with the lead runner, Tanzanian Juma Ikangaa, at mile 24. A fierce battle of surges and resurges ensued, which DeCastella eventually won to run into Brisbane’s stadium victorious.

In the spring of 1983 DeCastella and Alberto Salazar - at the time considered the two best marathoners in the world - raced each other in a world class field in Rotterdam, including the later Olympic gold medallist Carlos Lopes. At 35 kilometres Salazar dropped away from the lead pack and two kilometres before the end only Lopes and DeCastella were left. It seemed that Deek was fated for second place as the Portugese, who had greater speed over short distances, surged away from him. Yet again DeCastella proved both his legs and his will were made of steel when he gave an all-out effort and outsprinted Lopes in the last 400 metres of the race. It was a show of sheer strength and will-power in a race that will be remembered and treasured for years to come.

DeCastella’s training methods were somewhat unorthodox for their consistency and simplicity. Throughout his entire career he did the same workouts on the same weekdays, week in and week out. People dubbed his method ‘complex training’ but really it was as simple as your ABC and as transparent as water. His week consisted of a hill workout, a speed workout and a long run. Just because of his unfaltering discipline and perseverance - he hardly ever missed a workout - DeCastella slowly and steadily grew out to become a world champion.

Perfect Moment is the latest release from Smooth Jazz Artist Peter White, and I can only think of one word to describe it… AWESOME!

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

Perfect Moment is a pleasantly varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly outstanding artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are his own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Smooth Jazz isn’t your favorite genre you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

If you’re even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you’ll enjoy this CD. Overall Perfect Moment is an outstanding release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.

While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2, Kinda Sweet, track 5, Don’t Want To Be A Foo, track 9, The View From Your Window

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 3, Midnight In Manhattan. Wow!

The origin of belly dancing has been an issue that has been long debated by professionals because there is no clear answer to where the origin of belly dancing actually was born. Some professionals such as anthropologists believe that perhaps it was Egypt as there is evidence indicating this by the carvings left that seem to indicate the same movements and pictures that would be similar to belly dancing. Others believe that it originated from the Middle East and even Africa and there is significant evidence left behind by these ancestors that would seem to support that belief.

The origin of belly dancing can be better defined and understood when you appreciate what the belly dancing purpose was for and who performed them. Many cultures of this day lived with the earth, as one with the earth and it is these societies that gave way for the origins of belly dancing. It is believed that these cultures utilized belly dancing to provide sensuality much in a way as today’s society would call foreplay and it stimulated sexual senses. It was also largely used in sacred ceremonies as well as initiation rites and fertility rituals as it was a helpful tool in creating spirituality.

In countries such as Polynesia and Africa the origin of belly dancing don’t show that it was specifically a dance exclusively for women, as most people today believe. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that dancers of both male and female variety participated in such erotic dancing that was accompanied by a blissful rhythm from the African drums.

In just the opposite of the African tribes who used belly dancing for the erotic dance form that is became the people in India took the origin of belly dancing and interpreted them as an act of worship. In fact, if you visit India it would be well worth your time to go to Konarak to see the temple wall. It is an Indian shrine that dates back to the 13th century and displays dancing girls that are carved in the stone in a variety of erotic poses. This is even one of the still standing remnants of years ago when the origin of belly dancing were beginning.

As with every art form that is studied for years, the origin of belly dancing also suggest that many dancers were banished from these temples because their dances became far more erotic than they were spiritual and were even involved in prostitution. It is from this bit of belly dancing history that people associated belly dancing with strippers and other undesirable professions.

Should We Change Or Should We Undo Change?

Change has become the current global Buzzword for solving most problems. Everyone is talking of it and trying to CHANGE like never before. If organizations are not doing well then the usual conclusion is that they have not Changed with times and a ” Change Strategy ” is evolved and a ” Change Process ” put in place .

If nations are having problems then it is not unusual to see leaders talking about ” Change ” .

Motivational speakers and most leadership programs will never tire of expatiating the virtues of change and also the dire consequences of not changing .

Counselors will always advocate ” Change Yourself ” if you want to improve a strained relationship . But CHANGE from what ? No one talks about that .

What is the reference point for change ? How do we know what to change and what not to change ?

Do we have answers to the following questions ? Why do millions of people across the world , including in wealthy nations , go to bed on empty stomachs ? This is in spite of the fact that Nature has provided so much that it can produce and feed ten times over the current global population ,

Why are millions of lives getting affected due to violence in the name of religion .? Why so many people get killed due to meaningless war ?, . Why do Companies only think of top lines and bottom lines ?

You will observe that the problem lays in change .

Change has occurred and that is why :

Nations no longer follow their constitution . The great people who founded nations always thought about internal prosperity through global peace

Original preaching of the religions has been distorted to suit few individuals. We all know that , no religion in this world preaches violence or hatred .

Companies deviate from their Purpose and Core Values to keep the business analysts happy . Founders of great companies have ” Service to community ‘ as the Core to their business .

If Change from the original state is the root cause for so many problems across the world , then the question I would like to bring to your attention is : Should We “Change” ?

Or Should We “Undo Change “?

Should we not endeavor to ” undo Change “ and revert to the natural state that ensures peace and prosperity at the individual level across the world .

If change is the ONLY CONSTANT then should we not keep UNDOING IT .

Marketing is all the activities and processes of planning, communicating and executing a product, with a price, the promotion and the placement of an item to an end user. Your music is your product which you are then supplying to the end user - the music fan. Between you and the fan is a big space on how to bridge this gap. You may think that if you just get a record deal with some label, your prayers are answered and this instant bridge is built across that space. This is for the most part, not how things work today.

As an aspiring indie or unsigned singer, songwriter, or a musician in a band you can not do just a few things to promote yourself and expect success in your music career. Offline and online music promotion and marketing exposure is an ongoing process in this DIY age. Music companies are looking for artists that already have fan bases, sold CDs, and are proven ready to move up to a higher level. Presented here are more than 100 tips and ideas for you to think about and tweak as you will, to get noticed, gain fans, and get heard. You have to find a way to stand above the crowd, for talent alone is not enough.

Promo Tip #1 A music artist must start somewhere, that’s usually locally, but it’s better to not just dive in without a plan. But begin you must. Create a plan with some ideas and set goals as to what you need to accomplish weekly, monthly, and yearly. Start small and make it progressive. Reach bench marks and keep at it.

Promo Tip #2 Image is everything. Image is the complete package - artist/band name, look, performance, merchandise, and style, to how that brand is marketed. A stage name can be a descriptive statement of the image you or your band project. Be unique and interesting to look at in some way….build your own unique stage persona.

Promo Tip #3 Word of mouth has always been the best promotion - tell people what you do. Get people talking. Create your buzz by just giving enough info to get people interested, but hold some secrets close.

Promo Tip #4 Those that promote the most win.

Promo Tip #5 You may be a truly great talent, but without getting out there and consistently marketing yourself, networking, meeting the right people, maintaining your image, and being humble, your talent will only get you so far.

Promo Tip #6 Be innovative in your promotional efforts! The Internet has made it possible to hear a LOT more music, from a LOT more artists. You are now a very small fish in a very large pond - you will need to find a way to stand out, above and glow in the dark. Think beyond the box on every promo tip.

Promo Tip #7 Learn web basics to use the Net to your advantage. The Internet thrives on links, quality content, keywords and consistency. Properly use the tools of the Internet to build your online brand.

Promo Tip #8 Create a web site. Buy your own artist name or band name URL for your web site, keep it simple, easy to remember, make sure it loads quickly and is easy to navigate.

Promo Tip #9 Submit your web link to online music directories, search engines, good music resource sites, in the best possible descriptive category. Use niche sites like tour date sites, lifestyle, regional, music magazine, music ezines, music Blogs and similarly themed sites.

Promo Tip #10 Use Myspace, Tagworld, Frappr, Facebook and any of the good social networks and extend your fan base. Update on a regular schedule.

Promo Tip #11 Go beyond the social networks and sign up to the best indie and unsigned music artist sites. Add a full profile, good photos, your best music, update the info regularly and DO NOT REDIRECT them with only a little info to find out more at another site. These indie communities are built to attract music biz personnel as well, to browse for the talent needed for various projects. While you have the viewers attention and time, have the important info right there, don’t waste their time with a redirect link! Include a link to your main site, if they want to learn more they will go to it.

Promo Tip #12 Hand out your CDs (or demos). Have your web link printed on the CD. Include your band name and contact info as well. Remember, your name on the work is more important than the name of the work. Hand the CD to club owners that feature your type of music.

Promo Tip #13 Send press releases and reviews of your shows to local print newspapers, magazines and event papers. When writing press releases, read up on “press release tips” and the like to tweak your presentation.

Promo Tip #14 Professional photos mean you take yourself seriously. All photos in your press kit should be quality photos, not just your main bio picture. The money spent on a photographer that can capture your music “image” is money well spent.

Promo Tip #15 Collect addresses and email addresses (email is free!) to keep your fans current on what you are up to. When building your lists, try to list their location - city, state and zip with a bit of personal input about that fan. This is a great way to create a more personal and targeted mailing list without bombarding people that are too far away to attend a show.

Promo Tip #16 Practice and practice and practice. Longevity in the music business means learning new things, constantly creating, and always improving.

Promo Tip #17 Zero in on your target. Know where they hang out, where they shop, what they do for fun, and hit them where they live - online and off. Your audience is a specific crowd of people so don’t waste time being where they are not.

Promo Tip #18 Play, play and play some more. Get gigs in one part of town on Friday and another part of town on Saturday. Do mini tours outside of your town.

Promo Tip #19 Create your own support group of family, friends, and school mates - communicate well with them on your plans and goals to help spread the word on you, where you plan to go and how you plan on getting there. Delegate tasks to the appropriate people.

Promo Tip #20 Online send out press releases and reviews of shows via all appropriate sites.

Promo Tip #21 Get online air play. There are a lot of indie radio webcasts, join sites and do what you have to do to get on the playlists.

Promo Tip #22 Create an interesting banner to drop in your forum signatures or other online locations. Many message boards will let you leave a link and/or banner in your signature, but don’t like blatant advertising.

Promo Tip #23 Brand your name across the world and be ever mindful of the image you wish to portray whenever out in public or online. When it’s in print, it’s permanent.

Promo Tip #24 There is such a thing as overkill, in that it is better to describe your band/music as “we sound similar to the Beatles” rather than “we are the biggest thing since Led Zeppelin!” (or better than). So word your description accordingly.

Promo Tip #25 The music business is in the business to make money. If your career is in music, know when to be businesslike.

Promo Tip #26 Learn every area of the business you are in. Knowledge is power.

Promo Tip #27 You must network. Meet people, get out there, shake hands, listen to them as well and let them know about your music. Build those relationships.

Promo Tip #28 Be on friendly terms with other bands and artists in your area.

Promo Tip #29 Create a “street team”, online and/or offline…they are core people that wish to help you further your marketing efforts. Give away free tickets, CDs or merchandise to your street team as incentive.

Promo Tip #30 Announce every song, every CD, decent chart position, contest win, top sales on releases, announce anything and everything to stay in the public’s eye. If you can’t write a decent article up for the press release, get someone that can. Write a review of every gig and get feedback from local VIPs, fans, whomever matters and include the best quotes. Is it news worthy? Write and promote it. Get the most mileage you can from your promotional tactics.

Promo Tip #31 Never mail your CD without a purpose or a contact person’s name on it and expect miracles. Far better that the contact person knows to expect your CD, his or her name is spelled correctly, and you are mailing it to a company that actually works with your style of music.

Promo Tip #32 Wear your band! Get a jacket, t-shirts (etc) and add your band name or logo on it. Wear it everywhere and be a walking advertisement. If you have a niche fan base, think of a merchandise item that they need that of course has your name on it!

Promo Tip #33 Create an interesting band logo. It can be a conversation starter or a potential contest question.

Promo Tip #34 Join a Songwriting Circle. This is a local idea (though it is possible through the Internet), to meet with other songwriters in your own area and share your songs. You can get feedback on your work, share ideas and tips, possibly collaborate on work, learn about what’s happening locally, help each other in many ways. If you wanted to start your own circle or look for one, you could use Craigslist for your Wanted or Needed post. Most ask that you be open minded and dedicated, with a willingness to listen and give feedback.

Promo Tip #35 Burn your best song as a single. On the CD and cover include ALL contact info, website, names, etc and distribute that CD wherever you go, for free.

Promo Tip #36 Have a custom vinyl car wrap created about your music/band and put it on your car. OR a use a magnetic door sign for your vehicle will work as well.

Promo Tip #37 Cross promote online on your web sites with local bands as well. You give them a boost on your site and they give the same back to you. Ask other people to LINK TO YOUR music site from their website!

Promo Tip #38 Introducing your band whether in person or online has a lot of similarity in speech writing techniques, in that you have to grab the reader or listener or viewer in the first 30 seconds. Your opening line needs to have punch, snag the audience and reel them right in. Remember the rock group KISS and “Are you ready to Rock?!!” Find your attention getting line and use it. Don’t fall victim to the less inspiring, “um, hi guys, um, we are the ‘Example’ band…”

Promo Tip #39 Use Internet class ads as well as local newspapers to promote upcoming events and possible collaborations with others. Print papers and magazines need advance notice so plan accordingly.

Promo Tip #40 Create an online newsletter, with content of value to the receiver. This is an invaluable way to keep fans informed on gigs, news, gossip, new releases and other great info. Send out your newsletter about once a month.

Promo Tip #41 Be outrageous or controversial. Shock value can work, but it can backfire too. Can you maintain the image? It has worked for many, but was a disaster for many more. Think this tip out.

Promo Tip #42 Create a fan club online and get them to spread your banners, links and provide content for them to spread.

Promo Tip #43 Who are the VIPs in your community - who are the popular people in your area? Get to know them, give them a free CD and invite them to your show. When they speak, others will listen.

Promo Tip #44 Create a video and get on YouTube. Place your video on all relevant video sites. Video Scrapbook (or Diary) your music band’s progress, accomplishments, and jam sessions. This could make for good clips in other projects.

Promo Tip #45 Have a CD, digital download and other merchandise for sale. Generate some sales so you have something to invest in other areas of your marketing effort.

Promo Tip #46 Have star quality, but don’t be a big-head. Let people know you are professional and have the ability to be a long lasting star in this business.

Promo Tip #47 Never Spam email.

Promo Tip #48 Have a press kit ready to send out or email. Have it neatly organized with a brief bio, a short description (about 30 words or less) on what you sound like, full length bio, quality photos, music samples, current press releases and quality newsworthy items, song lyrics, radio airplay and chart position information, and detailed contact information.

Promo Tip #49 Join online music groups and newsgroups.

Promo Tip #50 Be a bit mysterious, hold back and leave them wanting more. Timing is everything for some info, releases, etc.

Promo Tip #51 Create a music slogan of up to 8 words (less is better) that quickly, accurately and in a catchy manner describes your music in a real way.

Promo Tip #52 Give a review to get a review, honestly is the best policy, but never brutality. Many times someone will return the favor and it shows your knowledge, your twist, on the music created.

Promo Tip #53 Print up posters and/or flyers about your upcoming show and post them wherever your type of fans would hang out and include your web link, show date, name of CD, where CD can be purchased.

Promo Tip #54 Get into podcasting and videocasting yourself or making your music available for podcasting.

Part 2 of 100 Tips to Marketing Your Music continues the remaining promo tips plus some bonus ideas!

Today’s “the couple next door got divorced so it must be OK” mentality leads many others to conclude that ditching their union is the only choice. Contrary to popular belief, marriage resuscitation is a viable option. If your marriage has hit a fork in the road, the following 10 pointers will help you and your spouse find renewed happiness together:

1. Accept that neither of you are exactly the same person as when you married. Experiences and events change us. Attempting to recapture what once was is futile. The relationship, much like a faltering business, has to be restructured to meet each other’s needs today.

2. Get to know each other again. In the busyness of life, spouses forget to focus on each other. Jobs, professional commitments, community activities and other obligations pull couples apart. To counter the tug-of-war, just as you schedule meetings for these responsibilities, make appointments to be together, just the two of you, and re-connect.

3. Look in a mirror. Would you marry you? When a relationship hits the skids, natural inclination is to blame the other person. Instead, take a good, hard look at yourself. Do you still make an effort to look attractive (not to be confused with being skinny)? Are you proud of who you are? Do you have a healthy sense of self-worth? If you can’t answer “yes” to these questions, there’s work to be done.

4. Peel back arguments to identify their roots and modify how you handle your differences. When a dispute is stripped down to its core, it’s often discovered that the squabble was precipitated due to one spouse possessing a “strength” where the other has a “weakness.” The person with the strength has more knowledge, information, experience, skill/talent or education than his/her mate on the subject of the disagreement. A strength pit against a weakness turns into a fight. Rather than function in opposition, re-program yourselves to “blend” your differences.

5. Don’t stick to the same old patterns, routines and habits. Predictability causes monotony. Sit down together and list the boring “stuff.” Then brainstorm new ways to do those things, creating a new list to spice up the relationship.

6. Create a “couple” tradition. “Family” traditions are commonplace, but what about traditions solely for both of you? Traditions can add excitement to a relationship, serve as an anchor, and provide “glue” for the union to remain sturdy when the going gets rough. Establish one or more traditions to make your relationship special year after year.

7. Love the one your with. Observations at the office, gym, social outings and elsewhere may lead you to believe that others are having all the fun. Don’t be fooled. How many times have you seen the couple who seemed to “have it all” wind up in divorce court? Rather than wallow, devote mental energy to rekindling the romance between you and your mate.

8. To improve communication, eat marshmallows. Imagine that you have mouthful of marshmallows. Now, think about it: What is the one thing you absolutely cannot do? Answer: Talk. That’s precisely the point. Communication is more about listening than talking.

Also, never, ever, miss a good chance to shut up. Every comment doesn’t need a retort. Every issue doesn’t need another opinion. Speak up when it’s important, and keep your lips zipped when it isn’t. What you don’t say is often as important as what you do say.

9. Concentrate on the things you can change and don’t try to fix things you can’t. Display greater patience and tolerance for the things that your spouse does that bother you. Most quirks and annoying habits are negligible in the scheme of the entire relationship.

10. If you seek professional help, do so with a positive attitude. For marriage counseling to have a chance of success, a couple must start with the proper outlook. Think “How can we revitalize our marriage?” not “Should we get a divorce?”

Taking action to transform a marriage that has fizzled into a renewed source of joy and pleasure requires time and patience. In the process, each spouse is likely to discover incredible strengths within themselves and the relationship. With steadfastness and perseverance, there’s high probability that you will come out of the journey amazed to have opened a new world of opportunities with your marriage not only intact, but better than ever.

It’s been said by wiser folks than me that one of the very best things about investing in real estate is the ability to “leverage” high-value properties with very little cash. If that’s true, and I believe it is, then doesn’t it seem reasonable that if you can borrow more money, you can leverage more property? Of course it does, and using private money for real estate investing allows you to maximize your borrowing potential.

It’s all too common for real estate investors to hear the following from their mortgage loan officer: “I’m so sorry, Miss Investor, but you have too many mortgages already. We can’t approve another one for you.” This in spite of the fact that the subject property is at 65% of market value, and there’s three other investor’s in line behind you to buy it.

ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

Ah, but if you had a network of lenders set up, all waiting with cash in fist to loan you private money for real estate investing, this wouldn’t be your problem, would it? No, and here’s why.

When you use private money, the lender isn’t going to tell the credit bureau about the loan. Therefore, it’s never going to show up on your credit report, and it’s not going to be listed as one of your debts, or used to calculate your debt-to-income ratio. In fact, about the only place the loan will be noted is with your county, as security for your lender, assuming that’s the way your loan agreement reads.

Now, if and when you DO need to apply for a conventional loan or mortgage, Mr. Loan Officer will say, “Gee, Miss Investor, your credit looks as clean as a whistle. We’ll be happy to grant your loan request.”

This in spite of the fact that you may have 20, 30, 40, or even more private real estate loans, all secured by the real estate you’re making a killing on. You’re happy, your lenders are happy, your banker’s happy… so who’s not happy?

The great thing about this is, whose business is it anyway. Assuming you’re setting up everything according to the law, and you’re securing your lender’s interests with the underlying real estate, and you’re investing wisely by buying value and keeping your word, the only person who needs to know is you.

Use your head, and keep excellent records of all your private lending for real estate relationships and transactions. Make real estate your business, not your hobby. Do these things, and your slice of the pie will grow ever larger.

Reason 3 to use private money? Maximize your borrowing potential.

Globally ,Organizations as well as individuals spend over 50 Billion US Dollars every year in books , training programs , software , and other tools related to TIME MANAGEMENT .

The single objective , I believe is to improve their productivity . In other words , convert their Time effectively into various forms of accomplishment It is difficult to comprehend why a similar stress is not being given to Personal energy management , considering the fact that it is Energy which is the basic currency for accomplishment and not Time .

In the absence of energy we will not achieve anything irrespective of the time deployed . We all know it but we take energy for granted and continue running after time .

Effective management of our ENERGY and not TIME is what will lead us to a prosperous , smooth and abundant life . On the other hand if we are struggling then we need to check out our ENERGY FLOW rather than time .Our Accomplishments primarily depend on our Energy Efficiency rather than Time Efficiency .

You cannot convert time into energy . For the simple reason that accomplishment happens only when one form of energy gets converted to another form .

It is this ignorance of energy and the blind following of Time that leads to frustration. One is not able to understand as to why their results do not commensurate to the best time mgmt techniques being applied . They keep chasing time like a cat trying to catch its tail .

It is not my intention to hit out at the TIME INDUSTRY . But I do have very strong convictions on the roles of Energy and Time in our lives . I urge the readers to mull over this .

To me , Energy is the most undervalued resource in our lives and it is high time we accord Energy its rightful place .Having said this , I do not want the reader to think that I do not value time . It would be foolishness on my part to do so . Both energy and time have their own roles to play in our lives . My issue is with the unfair treatment we all give to our personal Energy as compared to time . We take it for granted even though it is the basic currency for all accomplishment To Put , ENERGY AND TIME in perspective , Let us look at the following .

If we want to differentiate two individuals based on their achievements on the data below .

Person Accomplishment A 100 Units

B 100 Units

There is nothing choose since their accomplishment is the same .

However if we bring in the dimension of Time then the whole thing would be viewed in totally different manner . …

Person Accomplishment Time Taken A 100 Units 100 Units

B 100 Units 10 Units

In this case Person B is able to accomplish 10 times faster than Person A .

We can also say that Person B is 10 times more powerful than Person A because rate at which he accomplishes is 10 times more than Person A .

And this is where the TIME FACTOR comes .

It measures your personal power .

Like an athlete , Finally the time he takes to reach the finishing line is what will determine his power . But time is not what makes him accomplish . It is just a measure .

Most of us have probably heard a beautiful song on the radio or at a live performance and wished that we too could sing with such a pleasing voice. Perhaps you were inspired at the moment to take singing lessons to learn how to sing, but then shelved the thought because you felt you did not truly have the potential to sing well.

But if you have a genuine desire to learn to sing, don’t give up, and never think that you’re a hopeless case! Contrary to what many people say, singing is not something you’re born with– it’s something that must be developed, and something that anyone can learn.

Sure, some people are born with innately rich natural talent, but then again, not everyone aspires to be a professional Grammy-winning pop star! Normal, everyday people can learn to develop a pleasing and impressive singing voice with the proper training. Usually that’s all most of us want–to not have to be afraid that we’ll be asked to perform a karaoke song at a party, or to just be able to sing along with our favorite songs on the radio without straining.

Without question, the very best way to learn to sing is to hire a professional voice coach. You should be able to find a good instructor in your local area who will teach you the basics of vocal technique and breath control needed to be a good singer. But do make sure you get references before you hire a singing instructor, as it’s all too easy to hire someone who really has no business teaching how to sing.

A good vocal coach will teach you the solid fundamentals of singing, such as the principle that singing should not be hard, and your voice should not experience stress or strain even when belting out notes or reaching high on your highest octave scale. Establishing a good foundation of singing fundamentals will ensure that you progress rapidly in your singing skills without danger of harming your voice.

Although utilizing a vocal coach is the best way to learn to sing, it’s very expensive for most of us (usually around $50 to $200 an hour), and it’s somewhat difficult to find a singing instructor who’s truly good at teaching beginners how to sing.

A viable alternative these days is to learn how to sing online using your computer. You may be asking yourself if it’s truly possible to learn to sing by using software and audio training courses. And the answer from thousands of satisfied students is a resounding YES!

With the advent of the Internet and the increasing sophistication of computers, you can learn how to sing from the very best voice teachers in the comfort of your own home. It’s a much more affordable option than hiring a voice teacher, and, with many of today’s downloadable training courses, you can get started right this very moment; you don’t even have to wait for a package to be delivered to you.

There are literally dozens of products available on the market these days that can effectively get you started on your journey to becoming an excellent singer. Check the Internet and ask knowledgeable friends and colleagues to make some good recommendations for you.

Singing is definitely something that makes life much richer. If you truly have a desire to learn to sing, don’t ever give up your dream. Why not get started toward achieving it instead? You just may be surprised by how quickly and by how much you can improve your singing with the proper training.
