Easy Steps to Designing the Perfect Fundraising Campaign

Designing the perfect fundraising campaign is simple if you follow a few key steps to success. No matter what cause you are trying to raise money for you need a solid fundraising plan of action. This article will outline some basic steps you can follow to develop a fundraising campaign that should prove to be a huge winner.

Step One - Pick a Theme for Your Fundraising Campaign

Before you can have a successful fundraising campaign you must clearly define your theme. When deciding on your theme you need to consider some of the following points:

1. What is your organization about?
2. How much time do you have?
3. What types of resource do you have available to you?
4. Will you use the internet or stay strictly off line?

Step Two - Define Your Audience

Consider the audience that will be the target of your fundraising campaign. Will you be focusing on individual donors or larger groups? Have you worked with these people in the past?

Be sure when you select your audience that it fits well with your theme and your expected outcome. Once you know for certain what your fundraising theme will be and you have determined the main audience of people you will target you can develop a solid fundraising plan.

Step Three - Define Your Outcomes

You need to be especially clear about what outcomes you are trying to achieve and how you will effectively determine the success of them. You should always set your sites higher. If you fall short you will almost always have accomplished more than if you set your goals low and achieve them.

Step Four - Select Your Internet Tools

The internet has opened a vast new world to fundraising campaigns. You can access tools for creating a plan and find professional groups with the click of a mouse. You can send targeted emails to groups of people who are specifically interested in your cause.

Before you get too excited you must do some research! There are some good systems for email and some bad ones. In the same light there are good sources for list of people and bad ones. The best source for finding the right internet tools for your fundraising campaign are to ask around. The internet can help here as well. You can quickly find groups who have raised money and contact them to get their opinions of different services they may have used. If you get several email see who the unsubscribe link goes to. That will show you some of the more popular email programs on the market.

If you follow just these few simple steps you will have a great fundraising campaign off and running in no time. If you need more fundraising help you can find many wonderful resources online today.

The possibilities to grow your mlm business online are endless. There are virtually millions of people at your fingertips…who are already interested in what you have to offer. On top of that, more and more people come online every day searching for information and opportunities.

When you learn how to tap into that huge market, you have endless networking abilities at your fingertips. So here are 3 ways you can tap into that market to find new recruits for your business.

1. Forum Marketing - Forum marketing is a fantastic way to network with bright and driven people. It works like this; find a forum about a topic which is of great interest to you. Then, become a member of the community and start contributing!

That’s all there is too it. So where does the marketing come into play? In forums you are given what’s called a signature file where you are allowed to post a message of your choice. You can use this signature file to drive traffic back to your site, or leave contact information for people to contact you if they are interested.

If you show the forum you have value to offer, people will respect you for your knowledge, and you will attract business partners to you.

2. MySpace marketing - MySpace is not a place just for kids. If you go on myspace and start looking around you will see very successful people have profiles on MySpace. On top of that, there are 165,000,000 people using MySpace! That is an incredible market.

Create a profile that encompasses attraction marketing principles. Brand yourself as someone who knows how to help others, and then start inviting friends. This will drive lots of traffic to your profiles, and will create you LOTS of connections quickly.

3. Ezine Advertising - There are THOUSANDS of targeted Ezines all over the web. Find an ezine that has your target market, and place an ad. I advise placing a solo ad as that will get you the most targeted view of your ad for the least amount of money. Solo ads have been proven to be more responsive then other types of ezine ads. They are worth the money.

Spend time learning new ways to build your business every day and very soon you will look back with a huge organization and say, “wow, where did this come from!”.

Horse Facts - Tips And Tricks For You And Your Equine Love

Horses have long been among the most economically important domesticated animals; although their importance has declined with mechanization, they are still found worldwide, fitting into human lives in various ways. As prey animals, they have very large eyes (only the whale has a larger eye), with excellent day and night vision, though they may have a limited range of color vision. Horses also are used for historical reenactment of specific periods of history, to preserve cultural resources, or for ceremonial purposes. Around the world, horses play a role within human economies, for leisure, sport and working purposes. But today the term “warmblood” usually refers to a group of sport horse breeds that have dominated the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games in Dressage and Show Jumping since the 1950s. Horses require annual vaccinations to protect against various diseases, need routine hoof care by a farrier, and regular dental examinations from a veterinarian or a specialized equine dentist.

Horses or ponies should be shod (hoof maintenance) every 4-6 weeks, depending on the horse and the weather. A horse that is not ridden daily or subjected to other stressors can maintain adequate nutrition on pasture or hay alone, with adequate water (10-12 gallons per day minimum) and free access to a salt block or loose salt. It should also have some form of regular exercise whether it is being ridden, lunged or turned out in a spacious field. Horses that are fed improperly may develop colic or laminitis or “founder,” particularly if fed spoiled feed or subjected to excessive feed or a too-abrupt change of feed. Bran should be fed with care as it is high in Phytates that bind dietry Calcium, Iron and Zinc preventing their absorption into the blood stream

A hackamore is a type of bitless bridle usually used to train young horses, or to go easy on an older horse’s mouth. German martingale: This design consists of a split fork that comes up from the chest, runs through the rings of the bit and attaches to the reins of the bridle between the bit and the rider’s hand. Some western saddles will also have a second strap known as a flank or back cinch that fastens at the rear of the saddle and goes around the widest part of the horse’s belly. Saddles, stirrups, bridles, halters, reins, bits, harnesses, martingales, and breastplates are all forms of horse tack.

Andy McMellan writes for the bi-monthly newsletter American Horse Care. It contains useful information on horses and horseback riding.

Liberal Perspectives - The World Viewed Through A Straw

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /wwwroot/gphone-android.com/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1142

No matter what the issue, event or circumstance, the Liberal mind is incapable of grasping big pictures. It is a micro world view grown in the Petri dish we call the university. Today the university has lost sight of a true liberal education and is today producing specialists. Therefore, along with books, pencils and paper, the modern student is required to be well supplied with plenty of straws through which to examine closely the world around them.

Through this straw one sees the rights of man, while the responsibility that accompanies each of these rights escapes their field of vision. History always begins in the morning, and the events of the day occur in a vacuum, with no past reference.

If the Earth’s temperature rises one degree over the last one hundred years, it must be because of all the plastic bags, tin cans and Wal-mart. Only a “savior,” a god-man like Al Gore can rescue humanity from calamity. The eons of years prior to man’s arrival, with all the ebbs and flows of seasons, the destruction and catastrophes, are never seen through the straw.

It is through this straw one sees immigration, but misses the illegal part. It is through this straw one sees stem cell research, but bypasses the embryonic part. It is through this straw that Bush and Hitler, Gitmo and the gulags all appear to be one and the same.

If they see Pavlov, it must all be a bell. If they see Freud, it must all be sex. If they see Sagan, it must all be dust. If they see the New York Times, it must all be true. If they see god, it must all be themselves.

It is through this straw that war is never the answer, no matter what the question might be. Treason looks the same as patriotism, defeat the same as victory. Success is punished while failure is nurtured.

While the amount of information, and the ease of access to it has never been for man as it is today, if you view life through a straw, no high speed laptop will suffice to correct the vision problem in today’s world of the specialist. While we as men have gathered great quantities of information, so much that we had to create a cyber-space to store all of it, we still have lost much of our wisdom through the forces of historicism, relativism, positivism, and straw-ism.

The Liberal perspective is a narrow perspective. It is a shallow perspective. It is a young perspective, like a top 40 pop song, that is here today and gone tomorrow. Most important, it is a dangerous perspective, for it sees not the cliff it is about to walk over. It cannot see the canyon. It cannot see the forest nor the trees. It is a high-speed train rolling down the tracks of the regress express. All aboard and let it roll! Ding-ding…ding-ding…ding-ding…

Don’t you just hate it when you are caught off guard and not prepared for something. It could be a birthday, anniversary, test, or just a spur of the moment decision that may leave you with company coming for dinner and nothing planned for it. If you don’t entertain thoughts about your future, you could get caught off guard there as well. A retirement plan is very important for your days ahead. There are many things to consider when you retire and many people are just not prepared for it. They may look forward to the future days, but not really plan for them. This article will help you consider a retirement plan and some of the things that you should be thinking about now.

Many people will think about money when they think of retiring, and a retirement plan will need to have that on the list. How are you going to live when your job ends. Do you have a retirement account with money building in it or investments to count on when you retire, or maybe you have been saving money each month in a saving account. One important thing to consider when placing money in an account is will your money grow. Don’t just place money in the bank without investing it in something that will make it grow. A retirement plan should also consider the monthly bills you have each month, and your goal should be to try and be debt free by the time you retire. Can you pay off your home by that time or should your retirement plan consider selling the home you have and downsizing to something smaller with less maintenance.

If you are planning on doing some traveling, your retirement plan will not only have to consider the cost of traveling, but how much time you will be away from your home. Do you have a lot of yard work that has to be kept up or will you need to hire a landscaping business to do a weekly or monthly maintenance. If you do, then you will need to include this expense in your retirement plan. If you look around your home, you may have other considerations such as inside house plants and pets that would need care while you were away. Make sure you always include extra expenditures in your retirement plan as no matter how much you plan ahead, there will always be something that comes up unexpected.

If you have trouble figuring out how much you will need to save up for your retirement plan, there are companies trained to help you. They can help you plan for your future in many ways as there are many things to consider upon retiring. Do you have a medical plan that will take care of most of your medical expenses if the need arises. Do you have a life insurance policy that can take care of any remaining debt your spouse may have to be responsible for or do you have a burial expense already set up so when the time comes, your loved ones won’t have to pay for it out of their own money, not to mention removing the burden of unhappy decisions. A retirement plan will cover a multitude of future fun and expenses so don’t put it off. The sooner you begin your retirement plan the better off you will be when you retire.

Game Cheats

When I see my children and grandchildren sit in front of computer or television screens for hours on end, I wonder if this can be good for them. Although it seems to me it teaches them good hand to eye coordination.

I know some of the games are very violent but I’m not talking about the violent ones for Nintendo, Xbox or Playstations. That’s a whole new story.

Some of these children can’t sit for 30 minutes reading a book or doing their homework but put an Nintendo, Play station, Xbox or Wii control in their hands and they are there for hours

When my children were smaller I worried about them sitting too close to the television for hours, ruining their eyes. I guess that comes from not being raised with a television. We played outdoors, walked everywhere and invented ways to stay busy. Then along came Sony, Panasonic, Magnavox and RCA with televisions and houses being air conditioned and there went the outside play.

In this new age of electronics which seems to boggle the minds of us older generation, I wonder if we are not a little jealous. How much easier it would have been to run our businesses with cell phones and computers.

When I went online to www.wordtracker.com and put in the key words electronic games. I was appalled at what came up: People wanted cheat sheets for Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation2 and Wii games. The top ones were “ps 2 game cheats” with a count of 14602 hits in 24 hours, ‘game cheats for ps2′with 17042 hits in 24 hours, “playstation2 game cheats” with 4858 and “games cheat” with 3898 in 24 hours.

What is this teaching our children? I want to win but I don’t want to cheat doing it. Maybe the children of today don’t think this is cheating but just smart tactics since every one can copy the cheat sheets off the internet and all have the same advantage. Maybe it is not cheating and I am just over reacting. As I read thru one of the sheets it seemed complicated to remember all of this in a fast pace game. But on the bright side “games play” came in with 21377 in a 24 hour period, “play game” with 8078, “play games” with 4102 and “games” with 7949 in a 24 hour period.

I guess time will tell the effects of all these electronic video games, but one thing for sure it certainly keeps the brain dusted off and active.

The right ESL pre-k teaching tools can make learning easier and more fun. Take, for example, the research work of Dr. Howard Gardner who came up with the theory of multiple intelligences. This essentially rules out the idea that the best way for children to learn is by sitting at a table doing “desk work”. Instead, Gardner pinpoints different “intelligences” which are essentially learning styles. Everyone has a specific intelligence (or a few specific intelligences) that defines how he or she learns best. This means that in order to reach all the children in a classroom, different learning methods must be made available to them. The multiple intelligences are

* Linguistic intelligence: Learning and using spoken and written language
* Logical-mathematical intelligence: Logically analysing problems, detecting patterns, reasoning.
* Musical intelligence: Performing, composing, and appreciating musical patterns.
* Bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence: Using the whole body or parts of the body to solve problems.
* Spatial intelligence: Recognizing patterns of wide space and confined areas.
* Interpersonal intelligence: Effectively working with others.
* Intrapersonal intelligence: Understanding self and feelings.

By using games and other activities in your classroom, you’ll be able to create a class period that explores various intelligences and reaches a variety of children instead of just the linguistic learners.

Additionally, it’s important to remember that preschoolers simply learn best through play. Just think about how preschoolers learn to count. They may count how many cars they have lined up or how many blocks they’ve stacked.

Here is an example of how to transform a mundane activity into an exciting game that stimulates the children’s imagination and encourages better retention of vocabulary. Imagine you are teaching colours. Tell your children they are pirates who have lost their treasure overboard and they must dive down and retrieve it. Spread coloured objects or cards around the floor. Demonstrate by taking in a big breath, hold your breath and dive down and pick up one of the coloured objects, then come up for air and ask the children to name the colour, or you name it, depending on whether you are doing a speaking or listening activity. Then tell the children which colours to dive down and collect. You could make it even more dramatic by dimming the lights when the children dive down and turning them up when they surface. The children can then sort the different coloured treasure by stowing it safely in treasure chests (boxes or bags - one for each colour).

Any paediatrician will tell you that the best way to encourage a large vocabulary in your children is to read to them everyday. For young children learning English you need super simple stories, and in an ideal world, stories that reinforce the language and vocabulary you are teaching in class. You can access a free ESL preschool story with games in the resource box below the article.

As well as using games and stories you’ll need to take into consideration a few other things:

* Preschool children have small attention spans so change your activities every five minutes or so because if they go longer than that, they’ll start getting restless and you’ll spend more time trying to keep their attention than actually doing the activity.
* Teach a small amount of language in any given session. For this age group, try to introduce three words at a time and then add to the list as you see the children understand the meaning of the words you’ve already introduced.
* Engage the children on multiple levels. This includes using fine and large motor movement, singing, talking, listening and looking. For example, you could have a game where the children need to move around the room to stand next to a picture or object of the word they heard you say.
* Competition in the preschool classroom causes undo stress on the children. Avoid playing games or doing activities that have winners and losers. Either have the class work together to “win” as a group or do not distinguish between winning and losing. On the same note, be sure to be supportive and encouraging to all of the learners in your class.
* Preschool children can get very excitable so vary excitable games with quiet ones to balance out the energy level in the classroom.
* Preschoolers are very visual. Bring in real objects whenever possible. When it is not possible, find colourful and vivid pictures.
* Preschooler children usually are not yet reading and writing (at least not to large extent) in their own language, so don’t expect them to do it in a second language. At this age, you can expect them to listen and understand first. After a while, they will begin speaking individual words and short phrases.
* Themes work well in the preschool classroom. Focus your vocabulary learning on groups of similar types of words such as foods, colours, numbers, animals, families and body parts. You can work in short phrases that are relevant to your theme.
* Be well prepared, plan more than you think you will use and move seamlessly from one game or activity to another. Use colouring or similar quiet activities when the children need some downtime.
* Repeat, review and revise. You need to frequently review the vocabulary that you’ve previously taught them or they will quickly forget it.
* If you have a particularly naughty or rough student in the class, keep him or her close to you. Ask him or her to be your special helper and be sure to give a lot of praise when you see him or her behaving appropriately.

Above all, just remember what you liked to do in school. If you were bored, you probably didn’t get much out of the class and the same is true for preschool and pre-k children. The birth of the internet was supposed to give people the freedom to download private adult entertainment into there homes.

However, their homes are no longer a private place. There is nothing private on the internet. A constant online connection means that the door to your home is always open. The internet privacy industry has grown exponentially because of the need of people to delete porn from their computers. However, those poor souls have no idea that the techniques they are using to delete porn are mostly wasted. These actions are done online not offline.

Internet privacy and evidence erasing software cannot protect your from being tracked online or targeted by identity thieves and hackers. The effort to delete porn from your PC hard drive is nothing more than an offline solution to an online problem.

Users never stop to think that their IP address can be tracked and monitored by spy software, ISPs and the new IP hijackers. There has been little information provided to the public about protecting their online privacy. This is why search engines are being flooded with the entry “how to delete porn”. Obviously, this is a sign of ignorance. One of the few effective ways to cover your web tracks is to perform a “secure delete” to learn more about secure deletion procedure.

User must seek out information in order to protect themselves from identity theft, embarrassment and I guess learn “how to delete porn”. This action is not difficult but the solution is not lock away in one click software. No-one is a hundred percent sure exactly how subliminal videos work but the best theory is that the subliminal messages they contain bypass your conscious mind and go straight through to your subconscious.

That probably sounds a bit weird. So let’s examine the idea of subliminal messages a bit further.

Consider that we process millions of pieces of information every second we view an object or scene. Most of what we view is unimportant at any given time, so our mind “tunes out” the bits of information that it doesn’t consider worth thinking about. For instance, if we’re looking at a lawn of grass then our mind will say “that’s a lawn of grass”. It won’t spend time analyzing each blade of grass and noting how each one is a subtly different shade of green.

It follows that there is an awful lot of information that goes straight through to our mind’s internal trash can.

Subliminal messages exploit the idea that our mind can process a lot more information than it lets on.

If you’re watching a video that contains subliminal messages, chances are that the message will only appear for one or two frames. Which means that the messages will only show on screen for a fraction of a second. Fast enough for our subconscious mind to notice them but far too fast for our main, conscious, mind to notice them at all.

Although the effectiveness of subliminal messages in advertising is not totally proven, most major countries have decided that it’s better to ban the idea. So subliminal advertising, whether it’s subliminal messages in videos or advertising jingles, is banned in the USA, UK and Australia.

Subliminal videos are available to run on your computer, so you can test their effectiveness on yourself.
