Step #1 - Sign up on Ebay as a seller and open a Paypal account
The first thing you have to do is pretty obvious. You have to open an Ebay account. You will need to make sure that this account is a seller’s account so that you can sell on Ebay. You will also need to open a Paypal account to be able to accept payments from your customers.
Step #2 - Find products to sell
You can find products all over the place. You can use Dropshippers, Wholesalers, other auctions, garage sales, flea markets, and a variety of other sources to find products. Where ever you get your products from you will want to make sure you have good solid research so that you know you can make money off of what you buy.
Step #3 - Learn how to list your products
You will have to learn how to design your listings, when to list them, what categories to put them in, and how long to list them for. This is very important because just a few little tips and tricks and you can double your bids on each item. You can find a lot of information out there on how to list your items on Ebay.
Step #4 - Set yourself up on a shipping schedule
If you decide to carry an inventory you will need to get on a weekly schedule with your shipping. I prefer to do all my shipping on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That way I can do all my packaging on Mondays and Wednesdays. This will take up about 4-6 hours of your time each week, but it is necessary that you ship on time to ensure your customers are happy with your service and product.
Step #5 - Stay focused and work hard
There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme and it is only pure luck when people start making a huge income from something right away. You can make money on Ebay, but you are probably not going to make thousands your first week or two. Most business failures give up before they ever have a chance to build their business fully. Do not give up stay focused and work hard towards your goals.
