Best Hair Loss Treatment Solutions – Consider These Facts When Choosing Your Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss, the curse of many men and surprisingly an ever-increasing number of women, is still largely a medical enigma the true cause of which has still to be established. And in fact there may not be a root cause to hair loss, but rather, hair loss in men and women can be caused by a number of factors each playing their part. For any hair loss treatment to be effective these possible causes such as nutritional deficiencies, inflammation and infection of the scalp itself, hormonal imbalances, environmental factors and certain disease states all need to be considered in deciding what is precisely the best hair loss treatment solution.

As difficult as it may be to establish the specific cause of hair loss in an individual we need to start somewhere and looking to the patient’s medical history and background to see if we can identify any possible causes, thereby allowing the correct hair loss treatment option to be taken.

For example the age of the patient needs to be considered. Obviously, as we age, general wear and tear and failing health, to a greater or lesser degree, can compromise the health of our hair. Also does the patient have a recent history of surgery or medication usage. Both of these factors can compromise the bodies health to the extent that hair loss can occur.

As far as an appropriate hair loss treatment in these cases, oftentimes all that is required is to simply allow normal recovery to occur whereupon the hair will return to normal.

Significant hormonal changes are often one of the main causes of hair loss especially sudden hair loss. Postpartum hair loss is very common with many women experiencing hair loss up to several months after pregnancy. Similarly, menopause brings with it changes to a woman’s hormonal system that can often lead to hair loss.

Basically there are four hair loss treatment options available today. The best hair loss treatment will always be determined by the individual in consultation with their doctor who has identified the likely cause or causes of the individuals hair loss and can then make the correct decision as to the most effective hair loss treatment. With most hair loss treatment options there is a choice of a natural hair loss treatment program or a more conventional prescription medication treatment program.

The first treatment option is the application of topical mendicants with the purpose of stopping any further hair loss and encouraging the re-growth of new hair. Within the topical category there are two subcategories; natural (including the applications of substances to the scalp such as apple cider vinegar, olive oil, fish oil and the like). Additionally there are natural proprietary medications including various shampoos and conditioners all made with natural ingredients and free of any prescription chemicals or drugs.

The most popular pharmaceutical topical application for hair loss is Rogaine, which has proven to be highly effective in the treatment of hair loss.

Second category for hair loss treatments are medications both natural and pharmaceutical that are taken internally. On the natural hair loss treatment side nutrients such as B complex vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals can be taken as supplements as well as herbal products such as Saw Palmetto.

Pharmaceutically, Propecia is the main internal medication used in the treatment of hair loss. Unfortunately Propecia does have some side effects and needs to be taking continuously or else the hair loss will return.

Hair loss treatment category three is surgical intervention, which would include hair transplants and grafts. Although extremely costly, surgical interventions are often the best hair loss treatment option as they are relatively safe and usually very effective as a permanent hair loss solution.

Lastly we have the cosmetic hair loss treatment solution. Here we include wigs, hair extensions and toupees.

What hair loss treatment solution you choose is of course up to you. As you can see there are a number of options for you to consider. The best advice is to find a medical practitioner who specializes in the treatment of hair loss and hair re-growth and together explore your hair loss treatment options.

If you are suffering from hair loss you must consider the best hair loss treatment solution for your specific case. To learn more about your best hair loss treatments options, visit http://www.hairloss-treatments.net for more information and resources.

Urinary Tract Infection

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that originates in your urinary system. UTIS are not only painful but they are extremely annoying. Serious complications can occur if the infection spreads to your kidneys.

Your urinary system includes your kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra, all of which play an important role in removing wastes from your body. Your kidneys are a pair of bean shaped organs that are located in your upper abdomen and filter the waste from your blood. Tubes known as ureters carry urine from your kidneys to your bladder where it is stored until it exits through the urethra. Any and all of these parts can become infected.

Women are much more likely to experience a UTI. Actually over half of all women will develop a UTI in their lifetime. Some women will experience UTIS multiple times. Thankfully there are many ways to cure the infection and regain proper function of your organs and muscles.

Some people don’t develop any signs at all of having a UTI but common signs and symptoms include a strong and persistent urge to urinate, a burning sensation while urinating, passing frequent but small amounts of liquid, as well as blood in the urine or cloudy urine with a strong odor.

Each different type of UTI may result in specific signs and symptoms depending on which area of your urinary tract has become infected by bacteria. Acute pyelonephritis is the infection of your kidneys and can cause symptoms such as upper back and flank pain, high fever, shaking chills, nausea, or vomiting.

Cystitis is the infection or inflammation of your bladder which may cause pelvic pressure, lower abdominal discomfort, frequent and painful urination, and urine with a strong odor. Urethritis is the infection or inflammation of the urethra and causes a burning sensation when urinating. Men may experience a penile discharge.

Many UTIS occur when bacteria has entered the urinary tract and has began to multiply. Your urinary system has natural ways of fighting infection which are designed to help stop the growth of bacteria and keep out other such microscopic invaders. There are certain factors that will increase your odds of getting a UTI.

Cystitis commonly occurs in women after sexual intercourse. However even girls and women who aren’t sexually active are still susceptible to lower urinary tract infections simply because the anus is located so close to the urethra. In men urethritis is commonly a result of bacteria acquired through sexual contact. Such infections include gonorrhea and Chlamydia.

Thoughts To Ponder - #89

Carl Jung’s work is second only to Sigmund Freud’s in the brief history of human psychoanalysis. He and Freud worked closely for several years, but eventually split on the role of sexuality in human neuroses. Jung developed his own theories, which he called ‘analytical psychology.’ Jung is also famous for his concept of the ‘collective unconscious’ shared by all human minds.

“The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.”

“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”

“What you resist persists.”

“Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol, morphine or idealism.”

“Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the unlived life of the parent.”

“Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.”

“We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.”

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”

“Religion is a defense against the experience of God.”

“The dream is the small hidden door in the deepest and most intimate sanctum of the soul, which opens to that primeval cosmic night that was soul long before there was conscious ego and will be soul far beyond what a conscious ego could ever reach.”

“Children are educated by what the grown-up is and not by his talk.”

“If there is anything we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.”

The Choices We Make Shape Our Lives - A look At Emotional Intelligence

People forget the great power they hold within-the power to shape their life. Our life is shaped by the choices we make. You are the one who choose how to live your life or create your life’s path. Our first step is to choose the type of life path we want-hills and valleys or rolling plains. Remember you ultimately make the choice.

How do I create a life path?

Start by visualizing the life you really want. What does it look like, what does it feel like. Write it down. Describe it in detail so it becomes alive and real for you.

Is there such a thing as a perfect life path?

Ok you spend a great deal of time creating the perfect path for yourself. Two things to remember life is never perfect and road we take can become bumpy and painful because of the choices we make along the way.

What do I do when the path gets bumpy?

Yes, there may be times we make choices that cause our path to become bumpy, confusing and uncertain. Our path seems like a series of hills and valleys there is never any balance.

When this happens, we should stop and examine the choices we made that have taken us down this path. We should evaluate those choices and identify alternative or new choices that will bring us back to our true path-the one we originally created. Once again we shape our lives by the choices we make.

What about the unexpected?

Despite the wise choices we made and make in creating our path, things happen in life that we cannot control or the “unexpected”. We shape our lives by the choices we make.

We can choose to give up or we can choose to keep going and turn the situation into a positive vs. a negative. We can spend our energy looking for positive solutions or we can waste our time focusing on the problem which is negative energy that will get us no where fast.

Once again it’s the choice you make that shapes your life.

What’s the payback for looking towards solutions?

You can look for a solution or you can dwell on the problem each choice has a different affect on your life. The choice is yours. Positive energy focused on solutions tends to bring positive results in all areas of our life. The results can take the form of happiness, satisfaction, inner peace, humility, a sense of accomplishment and achievement, increased self esteem, greater self confidence those are just a few.

Once again, it’s the choices you make that shape your life even when life brings you the unexpected or unpleasant.

When we choose to turn bumps in road into success experiences, we reach new levels of success and enhance our overall quality of life. In fact it is these choices we make that inspire us and positively transform our lives.

We are motivated to go for more in life, to reach new levels of learning and self awareness. We experience a sense of balance, happiness and harmony in our lives. We dare to live our life a bit more fearlessly-taking risks and using our inner creativity more freely. We experience an increased sense of self esteem, confidence, courage, wisdom and inner peace.

Wow, that’s an awesome pay off for going positively with the flow. Now that’s a wonderful life. Yes, but that was he choice you made.

So I say to you once again, the choices we make shape our lives.

How do I start?

The secret of making wise choices is based on our values, morals, principles and self awareness.

What about emotions?

Choices should not be based purely on emotions. The wiser approach is to consider the state of our emotions when we make choices. The best choices are made when we recognize and understand our emotions and have skills at using this awareness to manage yourself, your choices and relationships with others. The ability to understand our emotions and the emotions of others is an important emotional skill to have when making choices. We call this Emotional Intelligence- EQ.

What about Emotional Intelligence or EQ Coaching?

“Emotional Intelligence is your ability to recognize and understand emotions, and your skills at using this awareness to manage yourself and relationships with others.”- Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves, “The Emotional Intelligence Quickbook”

In 1995, Daniel Goleman’s first book was published and Emotional Intelligence became a much talked about topic in classrooms and boardrooms. The term, EQ (Emotional Quotient), was mainstream. But the study of EQ was not new. It had been around for over 30 years. It wasn’t until the early 1990s however that EQ emerged as a strong indicator of future success. Psychologists Jack Mayer and Peter Salovey (Yale University) confirmed that IQ, the traditional measurement of intelligence, is not the most important factor in determining success in life - but that EQ is the major indicator of achievement.

EQ coaching is specifically focused on the development of emotional skills to increase personal effectiveness and enable one to demonstrate the competencies at work and in life that result in success. EQ coaching involves a process of creating discovery, which supports the clients to become more aware of and understand their own emotions and the emotions of others. EQ coaching also focuses on building emotional skill.

Clients quickly recognize the value of emotional self-awareness, but don’t know how to become more aware. Generally speaking, through social conditioning people have become better at avoiding feelings than recognizing, understanding and using them effectively. So part of a good EQ coach’s role is to be an instructor in emotional literacy - recognizing, using and effectively expressing emotions.

As with all coaching, emotional intelligence coaching involves identifying new choices and taking new actions. EQ coaches, support clients to recognize the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and actions, identify possibilities for new behaviors, and take new actions to create different results and make better choices.

How do I get started?

Here some action steps to help you make wise choices that positively shape you life.

1.Determine what you want from life- Visualize what it looks and feels like. Write it down. Draw pictures, use shapes, symbols and colors to truly capture the life you want and love.

2.Clarify your values. Make a list of the things in life that are most important to you-write them down and in order of importance.

3.Identify your morals and guiding principles by which you live your life. Write down at least 10 qualities that reflect your morals and principles you hold yourself true to. Such as honesty, integrity, loyalty, compassion, dedication, humility

4.Look at the “current reality” when you make choices. What’s the reality of the situation?

5.Develop and build your emotional skills. When you recognize the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and actions you can identify possibilities for new behaviors, and take new actions to create different results and make better choices.

Eleanor Roosevelt sums it all up in the following quote:
“One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes. In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” - Eleanor Roosevelt, first lady

“Finding Nemo” Earns an Oscar and Wins the Hearts of Children Everywhere

Finding Nemo - 3 Stars (Good)

In the never ending battle to find good family films without filth and nasty surprises, Walt Disney Pictures comes to the rescue with “Finding Nemo”, an animated film about a fish rescue.

Finding Nemo is everything that your average Hollywood film is not, a good, clean, entertaining story with likeable characters. Finding Nemo is anything but all wet, it will give you a good feeling in the dry comfort of your home. Add popcorn and low-sugar drinks, and it makes for a good family night together.

Just as important as finding a good film for your children is finding a film that also teaches valuable life lessons in an entertaining venue. Finding Nemo delivers.

Marlin, a clown fish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his only son Nemo. Marlin lost the rest of his family to a predator attack and now fears that Nemo will venture too far away into the open sea.

His worst fears are realized when Nemo is captured by a scuba driver, and eventually Nemo ends up in an aquarium in a dentist’s office in Sidney, Australia. With no family left Marlin embarks on the dangerous journey to find and return Nemo home.

Along the way Marlin meets a new friend Dory, a blue tang (surgeonfish) suffering from short-term memory loss. Together their attempt to find Nemo is like trying to find a needle in a haystack as almost 75% of planet Earth is covered with water.

After escaping the sharp teeth of sharks, the stinging tentacles of jellyfish, the huge mouth of anglerfish and other predators, Marlin finally locates Nemo. Marlin is unaware that all this time Nemo and his tank mates have been plotting an escape from the dentist who is about to give Nemo to his niece.

Thankfully, Finding Nemo has a happy ending.

A number of life lessons are taught during this film, including the dangers of carelessness, seeing a difficult adventure through to the end, learning to trust others, recognizing the good in others, being resourceful and thoughtful, refusing to give up, fighting for those we love, helping those in need, and being appreciative of the life we have.

I really liked Finding Nemo because it is total animation without mixing animation with real people. It gives more clarity to the story and allows us to escape into another world.

The voices for the fish included Albert Brooks as Marlin, Ellen DeGeneres as Dory and Alexander Gould as Nemo.

The film was written by Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Stanton and Lee Unkrich.

Finding Nemo won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and was also nominated by the Academy for Best Music, Best Sound Editing and Best Writing for an Original Screenplay. It also was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture and picked up 30 more wins and another 29 nominations.

Natural Progesterone Cream For Menopause Relief

Progesterone is a female sex hormone, and like many sex hormones it begins to decline when women reach the menopause. Although most menopause related problems are thought to be related to declining estrogen levels, women are encouraged to take a combination of estrogen and progesterone as progesterone protects the lining of the uterus and decreases the risk of endometrial cancer.

Although scientific research has not yet corroborated the theory, many people believe that menopausal symptoms are actually due to an imbalance in hormone levels, rather than simply a decrease in estrogen, and that using progesterone on its own could relieve this imbalance. This is particularly worth trying for women who avoid traditional HRT because of a family history of heart disease.

Taking progesterone transdermally (through the skin), as a cream, gel or patch seems to be a more effective way of absorbing the hormone into your blood than taking an oral pill. Taken orally, the progesterone has to pass through the liver, where it loses much of effectiveness. In theory taking progesterone transdermally requires a dose five to eight times smaller than taking it orally, to achieve the same results.

However, taking the hormone through the skin makes determining the dosage difficult because each person absorbs at a different rate depending on their skin type and temperature. Progesterone cream also needs to be applied very precisely in the right places to be really effective.

It is essential, when you are buying a cream, that you make sure it contains natural and not synthetic progesterone. Natural progesterone has exactly the same chemical structure as the hormone produced by the ovaries in menstruating women, by the placenta during pregnancy and by the adrenal glands after menopause.

While administering natural progesterone may affect the regularity of your cycle, synthetic progesterone has many more sinister side effects. As well as abnormal menstruation it can cause fluid retention, nausea and depression, and increase your cancer risk.

Cream containing natural progesterone should only be available on prescription. You may be offered an over the counter alternative containing diosgenin, which is a plant steroid found in Mexican yams. The belief is that the human body can convert this substance into natural progesterone, but there is no scientific evidence to support this, so the yam cream is best avoided!

As well as treating symptoms of the menopause, natural progesterone cream has also been used effectively to treat pre-menstrual syndrome. Wellsprings manufacture a progesterone cream and they say that it really addresses the root cause of PMS which is a hormone imbalance, rather than simply alleviating the symptoms.

Wellsprings also suggest a variety of other benefits for all women in using natural progesterone cream. These include achieving quality sleep, promoting thyroid hormone activity, reducing hormone related migraine, preventing water retention, decreasing risk of breast and uterine cancer, stabilizing blood sugar, and avoiding depression.

Roulette Introduction

The allure of the Roulette wheel has captured the attention of many walking through the casino. In some areas of the world, it is viewed as an elegant game-thoughts of James Bond come to mind. Roulette has a few versions. The two most popular are the European and American versions. The main difference and its effect on the game will be discussed in this article. We will also go over the probabilities of winning. Anyone that wants to win at a casino game needs to know as much as possible.

American Roulette

The American Roulette wheel has 38 slots in it. First, there are the numbers one through thirty-six. Finally, there are the 0 and 00 slots. American Roulette has a 5.26% house advantage over the player.

European Roulette

The European Roulette wheel has 37 slots in it. Like the American wheel, there are the numbers one through thirty-six. The European wheel also has a single 0 slot. The lack of the 00 slot makes the European version better to play. The house advantage drops down to 2.70%. There have been many systems devised for Roulette. The origins of these systems were really devised for the European version of the game.

Betting Types

Following are some common types of betting in Roulette. If you are playing in a live game and have any trouble, just ask the dealer. He or she will be happy to assist you.

Column Bet: The column bet is on the outside of the Roulette layout. It pays 2-1.

Dozens: Players can bet on the first, second or third set of 12 numbers. It pays 2-1.

Low or High: This bet pays even money. Players can bet on the winning number being 1-18 or 19-36.

Odd or Even: Another even money bet. Players bet on the winning number being odd or even.

Red or Black: A very common even money bet. Will the winning number be red or black?

Split Bet: Placing your bet on the line between two numbers creates a split bet. You win if either number comes up. It pays 17-1.

Straight-Up Bet: Placing your bet on any single number. If your number comes up, you win 35-1.

As you may have noticed, if the winning number is 0 or 00, these bets lose. That’s why the house has a nice advantage. To win on a 0 or 00, you must bet it straight up or split. Honestly, the game of Roulette is not that complicated. In a live game, there tends to be a spin every minute or two. Most live games also record the last 10-40 numbers for you as well. Even if you are brand-new to the game, you can have it down pat in about 10-30 minutes. Online players can play at their own speed. Most online Roulette games offer betting help too.

Easter Gift Basket Ideas For Babies And Young Children

A gift basket is versatile. It can be adapted for any occasion and the types and sizes of the basket items can range from the frugal and small to the extravagant and large. It all depends on the gift giver and the basket receiver. Try on a few of these ideas for Easter for the wee ones in your life.

Newborns are so small and adorable. They rely on mom and dad for everything that they need. Make life a little easier for new parents. The gifts in an Easter basket for babies are mostly for the parents and others who will be sharing in the care of the child.

Let’s start with the layout of the basket. Depending on how many gifts you plan to give, make sure that the basket is deep and wide enough to accommodate all of the goodies. Keep in mind that the season is spring and the holiday is Easter. Instead of the traditional green grass that normally lines an Easter basket, fill the bottom of the gift basket with a layer of rolled up washcloths and baby bath towels in spring pastel colors. The towels should be lined up along the outer edge of the basket and the washcloths should fill the center.

Put in the bigger items starting at the outer edge of the basket and working your way towards the center. Include coffee mugs in pastel colors and a jar of instant coffee along with a box of sugar packets. Getting up in the morning is hard with a baby that wakes several times during the night. Slippers for mom and dad would help during those long nights. Include an outfit for baby that can be worn on Easter morning if they choose. If you have any pictures of baby, have them mounted in a lapel pin or brooch so that the proud parents can showcase their precious little one on Easter Sunday morning.

Young children get store-bought Easter baskets each year. Surprise them this Easter with a homemade creation that comes from the heart. Be mindful of the age of the child when choosing edible additions and toys.

The Easter gift basket itself can be use all year round after the goodies are gone. The basket can hold clothes, toys, or other items in the child’s room. Instead of the usual grass, use pastel tissue paper to line the Easter basket. Cut several sheets into thin strips. Use the sharp edge of a pair of scissors to curl them.

Fill the gift basket with coloring books and crayons, small plush rabbits or baby chicks, and, depending on whether you are giving to a girl or a boy, action figures or small dolls. Since it is spring, the addition of a pair of plastic binoculars, a butterfly net, and/or bubbles would give children something to do during playtime outdoors. Fill plastic eggs with fun size packs of M&M® candies and small candy bars. Include small boxes of raisins and dried fruits for a change from jelly beans and marshmallow treats.

Easter gift baskets are an excellent idea for babies and children. The children receive a greater variety of gifts than they ever would from a pre-made basket. Gift givers have to do a little more work, but the smiling faces will make it worthwhile.

Internet - Is It Spoiling Your Child?

Internet today has become the need of everyone. It is everywhere. It is fast and rich source of information.

You have given your child a computer lately which is having an Internet connection. But do you actually know if your child is actually using it for just information or something else.

Internet has no restriction, anybody can view anything.
Any type of information is available to everyone without any rule or constraint.

There are high chances that your child might be watching a bad website at times when there is nobody is at home.
So even if your kid is not doing that, can you actually avoid this situation for future precaution?
The answer, up to some extent is ‘yes’.
You need to do some basic things in order to secure the computer for popular misuses.
All you need to do is regularly check the computer history option in your web browser. This will tell you all websites address your kid has recently visited. For more information check the temporary internet files. You can have some idea.

But when you go and try to check them, you find that there is actually no web address even after several days. Well that means that your child is smart enough to delete all history after watching something he does not want to tell you.

The very good solution to this is a ‘Third Party Key Logger’.
These programs can secretly log the all keystroke pressed by anyone who uses the computer and you can easily come to know that what is going on.

But always buy these software from a trusted vendor only or your antivirus program will never allow it to be installed as most of key loggers come in the category of spy wares.
A word of caution. When you come to know that there is a sure misuse of the computer in your home, try not to be very strict with your kid. Else they may become more stubborn. They just need your help and trust.
