One of the best ways to maintain a healthy body and avoid malnutrition is to ensure adequate vitamin and crohns supplement treatment. Many studies that have been conducted on crohn’s sufferers have found that the vast majority of those with crohn’s are generally deficient in vitamins A, B, C, D and E. The natural deficiency of these vitamins is likely due to dietary restrictions, medications, and poor nutrient absorption.

Vitamin A - Vitamin A is necessary for a healthy normal immune system function, which is required to maintain a healthy mucous membrane. The skin and mucosal cells that line the digestive tract, urinary tract and airways, create a barrier and are the body’s initial defence against infection. Vitamin A also plays a vital role in immune response and in the proper function of the adrenal glands which control the way we respond to stress.

Vitamin B9 - B9, also known as folic acid or folate, is vital for the production of nucleic acids, proteins that are essential in cell reproduction and separation.
It is thought that a folate deficiency may cause high levels of the amino acid homocysteine, which is believed to play a role in the development of some chronic illnesses. In addition, B9 vitamin and crohns deficiency can cause intestinal damage and trigger diarrhea.

Vitamin C - Vitamin C is needed to convert folate into folinic acid (its active form). It is also an essential requirement for the formation of collagen, which the body needs for proper growth, maintenance and development. When taken with bioflavonoids (a vitamin-like nutrient that helps the body to absorb vitamin C), vitamin C can help alleviate inflammation and may even help prevent the formation of fistulas in crohn’s sufferers.

Vitamin D - Vitamin D is essential for maintaining healthy bones and cartilage and helps the body absorb calcium. Many crohn’s sufferers experience bone loss. Adding the D vitamin and crohns calcium supplement can improve bone mineral density, and help prevent and control the development of osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Vitamin E - Vitamin E is primarily an antioxidant. This means it helps protect tissues and cells from the damaging effects of oxidation, which can lead to the formation of many diseases. Vitamin E, in particular, has been found to prevent scarring that can occur from crohn’s disease.

How are vitamins taken? Most vitamins and mineral supplements are available in caplet, tablet, chewable tablet, and powder form.

Remember to read all instructions concerning recommended dosages before taking vitamins. Also, be sure to consult your health care provider about the vitamins for crohn’s treatment you are interested in, or intend to use, prior to taking them.

How to choose quality vitamin and crohns supplements - Not all vitamin supplements are the same, so you should never make the assumption that all products on the market are made with identical ingredients and will provide you with equal nutrients. To ensure a quality vitamin product keep the following in mind:

–The ingredients used should be all or primarily from organic sources
–Artificial ingredients should not have been part of the manufacturing process.
–Nutrients should have been tested for contamination and toxic substances
–If you have certain food sensitivities make sure that ingredients such as wheat, corn and yeast are not listed in the ingredients.
–All vitamin supplements should have an expiration date
–There is no regulation of vitamin supplements. This means the dosage claim noted on the label may not be the same as what actually exists within each pill, tablet, etc.

Therefore, it is in your best interest to get in touch with the lab that produces the particular vitamin supplement to find out how their products are tested. A reputable supplement producing lab will answer all of your questions.

Finally, keep in mind that the best way to obtain quality vitamin and crohns treatment is through your health care provider.

One of those rare places with a character all its own, blue Nile’s quirky lounge couldn’t be mistaken for anything else, painted with stories from Ethiopian mythology-if you’ve ordered one of the many goat dishes, its best not to read the panels about poison until you’ve finished your meal! For the full communal African eating experience order the seven-person doro wat (spicy traditional chicken stew, Kshs 3500) with a few glasses of tej (honey wine, Kshs 125)

Addis Ababa Restaurant

(Wood vale grove, Westlands; mains Kshs 400-500)

The 300 movie workout is the talk of the fitness world. The 300 workout helped actors chisel Greek Statue bodies while causing weight loss and calorie burning. Here’s a version of the workout for men and women.

The 300 workout is a challenging 300 repetition workout put together by a trainer for actors in the 300 movie. It helped to sculpt their bodies for the legendary fight scenes. And the 300 workout was also legendary.

Here’s how it went down…don’t try this at home! There was no rest between exercises…

a) Pullups - 25 reps
b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps
c) Pushups - 50 reps
d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps
e) Floor wipers - 50 reps (This exercise has to be seen to be believed)
f) 1-arm Clean n Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
g) Pullups - 25 reps

A man in superfit shape can do this in less than 20 minutes.

But what about the rest of us?

Fortunately, this can easily be changed. Appropriate exercises should be subbed in, and you should drop down to 100 total reps - or as .: recommends - 4-6 exercises of 15-25 reps each.

For example, you might do a 200-repetition workout - this is great for a man with moderate fitness:

20 prisoner squats
20 pushups
5 Chinups
100 Jumping Jacks
40 Bicycle Crunches
10 decline pushups
15 bodyweight rows

Optionally, you could do 100 reps of rope jumping to finish off 100 total reps!

An intermediate woman could do a 150 rep workout:

10 Bodyweight Sumo Squats
5 bodyweight rows
15 bodyweight squats
5 pushups
10 kneeling pushups
50 jumping jacks
10 spiderman climbs
20 reverse lunges
25 bicycle crunches

You might even rest 5 minutes and try and go through it again for 300 total repetitions.

Tough, but fair. So you can do your own version of the 300 workout and build your own Greek God or Greek Goddess body. Work with a trainer to come up with other ideas. And always, train safe.

If you were perhaps of a more cynical nature, and were looking for an ideal target market for your payday loans business, how would this scenario sound to you?

How about people working in a business where the paychecks are absolutely guaranteed to come in on time each and every month, no matter what?

A business with a large, relatively immobile workforce, who tend to stay in one place for predetermined periods of time, and who will, moreover, have plenty of notice that will move, should that happen.

A business whose workforce is overwhelmingly comprised of young, who are perhaps not too worldly wise, and who are used to doing what they are told to do, when they are old to do it.

I guess that, were you that somewhat cynical payday loan company owner, this would sound pretty good to you, right?
Perhaps that is why most military bases in the USA are now almost surrounded by payday loan outlets.

At a time when ever increasing military demands are being made of young army and navy personnel by the continuing Iraq conflict, Senior Military Officers are increasingly concerned about the additional stresses on the servicemen and women caused by the prevalence of outstanding payday loans.

Whilst the payday loan companies themselves deny that they specifically target military personnel, it is hard to actually believe that to be the case, simply from looking at the concentration of payday loan outlets near most military bases.

Stories of both Army and Navy officers falling prey to such lenders are fairly easy to come by, and of course, the last thing that such soldiers, sailors and officers need at a time of war are the additional stresses placed on them by increasing debts.

In fact, the problem has now got so bad that many military bases are running training courses in responsible personal financial management, a key module of which is teaching the younger servicemen and women about payday loans.

In particular, these courses are designed to teach the students how it is probably best to avoid payday loans completely if at all possible, or, if not, how to deal with them responsibly.

Of course, this cannot get away from the fact that military personnel are no different to anyone else, and they will have times of cash flow problems, just the same as their none military counterparts.

And this is equally not saying that payday loans are of themselves a bad thing. Anyone who has used such a loan to dig themselves out of a hole will probably have no problems with payday loans, on one proviso. That is, that they paid it back in time!

Unfortunately, whether the payday loans companies concur or not, there does seem reasonable empirical evidence to suggest that perhaps they are unusually willing to extend such loans to military personnel.

Personnel whose very existence depends on them being able to concentrate 100% on the task in hand, who, perhaps morally, should not be placed under any additional external pressures.

The fact is that payday loans for military personnel are big business, and they do serve a real purpose for the beneficiaries of such loans.

However, there can be no denying that military personnel are not like other people who take payday loans, and it is good to see that the powers that be have taken this on board, and are attempting to deal with it through additional training and education.

Thousands and thousands of people annually seek medical care for back pain. For some, the pain is gone within 6 weeks. For others, it becomes chronic back pain.

Chronic back pain affects individuals in various ways. Most make repeated visits to physicians, seeking relief. They want to know what causes their chronic back pain. They want new tests. They want to try whatever treatment may be available.

Chronic back pain sufferers may report difficulty in performing normal daily activities. They may believe the pain is increasing. They may simply want someone to sympathize, and agree that it is not “all in your head” at all.

Although back pain is the main reason people visit orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons, and the second main reason they visit primary care physicians, an estimated 5 to 10 percent of those visitors will receive no cure. They will go from low back pain to chronic back pain.

Patients are frustrated because physicians do not cure back pain. Physicians are frustrated because they cannot cure low back pain. Many think they can do little to prevent occasional severe back pain from becoming chronic back pain.

If nothing is done, however, chronic back pain limitations can seriously impinge on daily activity.

Possible Limitations

A look at possible chronic back pain limitations reveals a long list. There are limitations placed by a physician, but there are many more limitations that patients place on themselves. They may include physical limitations, emotional limitations, or mental limitations. Of the many chronic back pain limitations we can discuss only 7 here.

1. Depression: One of the most common limitations of chronic back pain, depression affects everyone involved in the daily life of the sufferer. The type of depression experienced by sufferers of chronic back pain is not simply a matter of feeling sad or “down at the heels” for a day or so. “Major depression” and “clinical depression” are the terms used for this kind of depression.

When chronic back pain limitations include a major depression, the person feels emotionally miserable everyday for at least two weeks. He or she also may have unexplained crying spells; major appetite changes; fatigue, sleep problems; agitation; and thoughts of death or suicide. There may be little interest in activities that were normally enjoyable.

2. Social Activity: A second of the chronic back pain limitations reported is that of social activity. People suffering chronic back pain become reluctant to attend parties and other social functions. They may curtail recreational activities or outings with the family.

3. Work Time: Those who suffer chronic back pain are also more likely to take off more work time. Statistics show that back pain causes the loss of more than 83 million days of work time each year due to back pain.

4. Job Loss: Since it often means lost work time, another of chronic back pain limitations is job loss. Too many lost days, or poor performance due to chronic back pain, can result in replacement.

5. Work Ability: Chronic back pain is a leading cause of work limitations. Back pain limits workers’ ability to lift, carry, and perform other duties that are required. It places restrictions on workers, and narrows the job field for many people.

6. Low Pay: Chronic back pain limitations include financial limits for some. Those who are limited in work by chronic back pain earn, on average, only two-thirds the amount of those without back pain.

7. Housework: One of the largest limitations of chronic back pain appears to hit normal activities associated with housework, gardening, and lawn work. Patients with back pain that lasted more than 60 days often report they are no longer able to do any gardening, lawn work, or normal cleaning activities such as vacuuming, mopping floors, etc.

Clinically Proven Limitations

For the patient, it is difficult to believe that chronic back pain limitations are often unnecessary. They continue to believe that the pain has a cause that can be readily diagnosed, despite their physician’s repeated assurances to the contrary. They believe the physician can find a medical sure for their back pain if pressed often enough and hard enough. As for treatment, patients often believe that until the cure is found, the best treatment is bed rest and limited activity.

The result of such beliefs is that back pain that could initially be resolved with exercise becomes chronic back pain. Chronic back pain that might still be resolved if the patient were to exercise regularly gradually develops and produces chronic back pain limitations.

TIP: Back pain is very, very common in our society. Rather than let it lead to complications and limitations, you may want to ask your physician for gentle exercises that may resolve your back pain before it becomes chronic.

They are not there to see your advertisements!

Please try to bear in mind that “yes” they do use search engines but they go there to look for something else, somewhere else to go…most certainly they do not go there to see advertising!

In “Marketing Myopia” Theodore Levitt wrote:

“The reason (the railroads) defined their industry incorrectly was that they were railroad oriented instead of transport oriented. What the railroads lack is not an opportunity but some of the managerial imaginativeness and audacity that made them great.

Even an amateur like Jacques Barzun can see what is lacking when he says : “I grieve to see the most advanced physical and social organisation of the last century go down in shabby disgrace for lack of the same comprehensive imagination that built it up”.

Much the same could be said about the advertising industry, advertising agencies have ignored Interactive Communication forever that is because they are in love with creativity and media manipulation and have completely forgotten the process of communication.

Interactive Communication is marketing from the customer’s point of view. The Internet represents a new marketing dynamic, where the market, does not give one dam about Top-Down-Management together with its convoluted, self-deluded marketing packages.

But hey, here they go again, pouring huge sums of money into Internet Advertising, poor deluded fools, they haven’t cottoned onto the fact that they, the market, could not care less about their slick, glib, glittery advertising programmes.

Instead of Advertising-as-Usual Advertising Agencies should be encouraging their Clients to indulge themselves with Interactive Marketing Communication…because Interactive Communication is a powerful technique much better suited to effective communication than Top-Down demographic slicing so typical of broadcast media.

Interactive Communication would enable companies to stop marketing completely - by that I mean in the sense of marketing to and marketing at because it would repersonalise the communication process connecting people (but most certainly not Top-Down-Management) to each other.

When you start to produce interactive advertising “Events” your customers start talking to you, yes, having conversation with you, and that is when you really will be making significant progress!

All advertising is a form of learning whereby you are asking people to change their behaviour after learning the benefits of the products or services you offer.

However, we all tend to filter out information, which we do not want to hear. This clearly alters the effectiveness of conventional advertising in quite a dramatic way.

The final purchase decision is invariably a compromise and this leads to a certain amount of anxiety; the worry that perhaps the decision was not the best or the right one. In order to minimise this anxiety the purchaser seeks to reinforce their choice and begins to take more notice of their chosen product’s marketing communications.

Due to a lack of understanding of the communication process we have created a media society during the past 40 or 50 years, where the whole process has been de-humanised.

There is now an extraordinary reduction in interaction because conventional advertising and marketing have become a one-way practice whereby information is disseminated in a passive form.

But, people still have this desire to be taken account of. To affect change, to learn and personalise their relationship with their environment. There are a phenomenal number of reasons that cause people to interact, going far beyond just giving them things.

When people agree to participate in truly interactive marketing programmes they are told that their efforts and feedback are of positive help to the advertisers.

And most important to the advertisers, by participating and becoming involved, they then learn and understand the advertising message and do so at their own pace and to fit in with their schedule. Consequently, because they are being involved in the process of developing the product or service, it starts to re- personalise their relationship with the advertiser and their products.

This takes the consumer through the barrier of not wanting to address change and takes that compromise, the anxiety and worry that perhaps the decision was not the best or the right one, out of the equation.

In other words, there is no reason why they should not change from their usual brand in favour of this alternative that they have now learned, fulfils their needs better.

And this isn’t this the ultimate market the advertiser is after - the people who use his competitors’ products. Now the consumer can say, “Yes, I will change my behaviour and I have a very good reason or series of reasons why”. They can adopt this position because they have a well-in-formed opinion or have developed an image of why that product is appropriate for their needs.

Now the long silence - the industrial interruption of the human conversation is coming to an end.

People who practice yoga have found that only ten minutes per day practicing in the privacy of their homes or even offices do wonders to ease stress, high blood pressure, emotional imbalance and depression. It also can boost one’s energy, improve concentration and help strengthen the immune system. Practicing for only ten minutes per day, these health benefits can be extremely beneficial to the over-stressed executive!

For starters, just practice a five minute routine standing right beside your desk. First do a chest expansion exercise which will only take you about two minutes. Stand straight with you heels placed together. Slowly bring both arms up and straight ahead of you with the palms turned outward. Stretch your arms so you can feel the motion. Now bring your arms straight back and upward as high as you can. Slowly bend backwards at the waist, keeping the position with your knees unbent and your head back. Hold this pose for five slow seconds. Now bend as far forward as you can while still holding your arms high. Keep your head down with your neck relaxed. Stay in this position for ten slow seconds. Then straighten up. This routine helps the spine, shoulders and elbows.

The head twist can be done in two minutes. Simply sit at your desk, place your elbows close together, put your head between your hands while covering your ears and close your eyes. Clasp your hands at the back of your head and slowly push your head forward until the chin touches your chest. Then, keeping your arms still, turn your head to your left and rest your chin in the left hand and grip the back of your head with the right hand. Turn your head slowly as far to the left as you can. Hold the position for several seconds and don’t move your arms. Then repeat the exercise by turning to the right.

The back stretch should only take you one minute. Sit on your desk chair’s edge and extend your legs outwards. Next bend forward and hold the upper calves firmly. Then bend your elbows outward. Pull your trunk down and relax all of the muscles, including your neck and let your head hang down. Hold this position for at least 20 seconds. Then straighten up slowly, rest for a minute and repeat once more.

If you perform this set of exercises you should start to feel a heightened physical and mental energy shortly after the end of your exercise regime. You can enhance your yoga program with meditation also. There are several types of easy meditation for the beginner and a fun and enjoyable one involves watching a burning candle while sitting in a darkened room. By fixing your attention on the flame and relaxing and breathing slowly and naturally, you can begin to allow your thoughts to pleasantly wander. The calming candle flame will help you to forget your everyday problems and bring you into a neutral and pleasant stress-free state.

If you try all of these wonderful yoga exercises just a couple of times a week, or better yet once a day, you’ll notice your health and well-being will improve. Science has documented the effects of yoga and meditation by measuring brain activity. So go ahead, try these procedures and enrich your life!

They say that the best things in life are free. When it comes to getting free hits and traffic to your website, this is very true. The best traffic is often the traffic that money can’t buy. It’s true that you can buy loads of traffic on various traffic networks, but the fact of the matter is that the most targeted traffic often comes from free sources.

Spending your time and effort on generating free hits and traffic to your website will be time well spent. Apart from being free, free traffic is often highly targeted and can greatly increase your online efforts in getting your website to be noticed by millions. Regardless of your market, there are people looking for what you’ve got. The only challenge is to connect to them and the various strategies for generating free hits and traffic is aimed at exactly that - real people with real needs. This is primarily why free traffic is such good traffic.

The secret behind many top marketers success is their traffic sources. Highly successful marketers know how to get free traffic and they often have sources that Joe Public won’t even think about. There are hundreds of sources online for getting free hits and traffic to your website. Here are five easy ones that you can use immediately to start driving free traffic to your website.

Tip #1 - Creating Content For Distribution.
Sharing is the secret behind creating tons of free traffic. One of the oldest and most effective sources of free traffic is to write and distribute articles for use by eZines and other websites. More recently websites like YouTube opened up more opportunities and by creating different types of content, you can leverage your efforts with high traffic websites which will use and distribute your content. Although you can potentially get huge amounts of free traffic from content distribution, the process tends to be very time consuming.

Tip #2 - Getting Search Engine Traffic
Search engine traffic is still the biggest and best source for getting free hits and traffic to any website. The search engines, to a large extent, control the traffic on the internet. Not only can you get huge amounts of free traffic via the search engines, but search engine traffic is excellent traffic as it is highly targeted and very credible. The biggest challenge with getting free hits and traffic from search engines is actually getting a decent ranking with the search engines. The top spots are highly competitive and getting to the top can be a tough (and sometimes expensive) job. Using software like SEO Elite can greatly help you in your efforts of getting top rankings with the search engines without breaking the bank.

Tip #3 - Getting Involved in Online Communities.
Community websites or Web 2 as it is commonly referred to, has become the free traffic source of choice for many marketers. By getting involved in forum discussions you can get a lot of highly targeted traffic. Birds of a feather flock together and online this is also very true. People tend to find other people with similar problems and interests and if you can help and be a part of such a community in your niche, you can be of service. In return you can get loads of free hits and traffic to your website. Posting comments on forums and blogs can be very ‘addictive’ and you can easily get caught up in discussions. It’s important stay focused on ‘helping’ and not just to post for the sake of it. Once you establish yourself as an expert you will get more than just free traffic.

Tip #4 - Start Your Own Lens On Squidoo:
Squidoo.com was masterminded by marketing legend Seth Godin. Squidoo is a blog-type website where anyone can start their own Lens on any topic. The search engines absolutely love Squidoo and your lens will quickly get indexed - meaning more search engine traffic to your site. However, within the Squidoo network, you can generate loads of free traffic and Squidoo really has a lot of cool stuff you can use as a marketer.

Tip #5 - Craigslist: Google’s new Best Friend:
Craigslist is a classified website where you can post free ads. At first glance it might not sound that glamorous, but this is an excellent source for more free hits and traffic to your website. For some reason Google loves Craigslist.com and your ads will be indexed within 24 hours. Apart from your ads showing up in Google searches, your ad will be seen by millions of visitors who visit Craigslist every day. Your ads don’t even have to be ‘ads’ and you can just as easily write product reviews and articles to get free traffic from this excellent traffic source. The only downside is that your ad will only show for 30 days before it automatically gets deleted. It used to be just 7 days and if you consider the amount of free traffic you get, posting your ad once a month is not such a bad deal anyway.
