Who has not been told off by their parents for slouching and not standing straight? Every parent has told their kid, and most kids just ignore that advice, or take it only when parents are around. I know many kids who even felt that they were being harassed by their parents because they were told to stand the way parents wanted them to, and not the way kids felt comfortable themselves.

But the truth is, parents tell us what many have learnt from their own experience and do not want their kids to go through the same sufferings and anguish of back pain. Right posture is not about appearance but it is to minimize the sufferings of back pain. Right posture helps back muscle to get stronger and neck to be held up better. If you hold yourself wrong then these muscles must work harder to keep every thing in the right place. And this causes strain in the muscles, which causes back pain.

Do an experiment. Go find a full-length mirror. Stand sideways in front of it in the posture you would naturally stand as if there as no mirror. Imagine a line at the back of your body touching your ear lobe, shoulders, hip, knees and your ankle. Is it straight? If not then you are not standing straight. Your natural posture is causing your muscles to hold themselves at the wrong angle. This is one of the most frequent reasons why people suffer from chronic back pain.

More than 80 per cent of our time is spent in either sitting or sleeping. Imagine if were to be using the posture which strain our muscles during all this time. We want to make sure that we do that right, not just how we stand. Most people sleep 7-8 hours on average - some more, and some less. Make sure that you sleep on a mattress that keeps your back as straight as possible. This will help you with back pain. A soft mattress is unlikely to give firm support to your back. If you already have a soft mattress then the best option is a half an inch thick plywood board under your mattress. If you can afford one than go buy a new firm mattress.

If your job requires sitting for most part of the day, or you drive long distances either going to work or as part of your job than you should pay particular attention to how you sit. Your sitting posture should be straight. Many people use a pillow or a towel to help them sit straight or for extra support. Every hour take a 30 second stretch break. This will make sure that any tension in muscles is straightened. You may already be using specially designed chairs at work but you should still take stretch break.

So from now on, make sure that your posture is straight. When you grow old and see others suffering from back pain, you will thank you self for taking the corrective action while young. - because you will not suffer from aches and pains that are often associated with bad posture. And it is so easy to correct, especially when you know how easy it is, and how high the stakes are.

New Ford Focus Car Review

Ford set them selves a tough challenge, to re-design their best selling European car. Get it right and they can expect sales figures as astounding as the previous model (over 4 million). Get it wrong and it could be a disaster!

Inside the new Focus, Ford has continued with a technique that works well. They have used good quality, sturdy materials and have laid all controls out in a way that seems to make every switch and button feel completely intuitive. There is also plenty of space in the Ford Focus to fit four adults and their luggage. The back seats feel roomy and comfortable, and the sloping roof line that makes the exterior so attractive does not leave the focus short of headroom. In the front, the driver’s seat and steering wheels are fully adjustable to allow people of all shapes and sizes to get comfortable.

Equipment levels in the Ford Focus are great with even the entry level models coming with front electric windows and height adjustable driver’s seat. All but the entry level ‘Studio’ model, also come with air-con remote central locking and CD player.

The drive has always been the selling point of the Ford Focus. Ford managed to make a car that was practical enough to be a family car, affordable, and an absolute joy to drive and own. The good news is they have made the drive even better! The handling is great, the steering is precise, and there is a huge range of engines to choose from, so all tastes will be satisfied. Owning the new Ford Focus will put a smile on your face every time you drive it.

So, have Ford done the impossible and bettered the old Focus? Yes

It has been just over a month since my daughter was killed in a car crash. Every day has been a day of tears, some voiced, some silent. My 15-year-old twin grandchildren are so overcome with grief they are almost paralysed. Both of them are looking for reminders of their mom, things they can hold onto, and my husband and I have given them things.

The twins want to hear stories about their mother. But it is the values their mother instilled in them — values passed from one generation to the next — that will help them most. So I typed a list of their mother’s values for them. The title is “Some of the Values Your Mother Gave You” because other values will become clear in time. Values are something the kids can hold onto, indeed, they are a prescription for life.

FAMILY IS IMPORTANT. Your mother found love and support in her family. She wanted you to have this, too, which is why we had Pampa for dinner when you came and why she took you to see him when he was dying.

GET AN EDUCATION. Read your mother’s resume and you will see that she was always learning. She knew more knowledge would lead her to better jobs and a better life.

WORK HARD. Your mother worked hard for you. That is why she got up at the crack of dawn and drove two hours to her job and two hour home. She wanted you to live in the house she chose for you and attend the high school you wanted to attend.

BE A CARING, SPIRITUAL PERSON. Your mother believed that kindness leads to more kindness and this is why she was a Girl Scout leader, a church volunteer, and gave back to the community in other ways.

SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE. There were times in life when your mother did not have much, but she always shared what she had: extra children’s clothing, appliances, food (Christmas cookies and apple pie) and plants. Sharing made your mother feel good inside.

BE HONEST AND ETHICAL. When your mother worked for one company a disgruntled worker threatened to take production shortcuts because your mother, a female, was his boss. His threat was not only unethical, it was unsafe, and your mother told him if he left out a bolt she would shut down production.

LAUGH EVERY DAY. Thanks to “The Big Book” and the way she lived her life, your mother found laughter in life. Laughter energized her and delighted those around her. Your mother would want you to laugh every day and enjoy the life you have.

Credit cards are becoming an indispensable part of our lives because of the fact that you do not need to carry cash in wallet anymore. This provides a certain financial security, and especially if you need money in case of any emergency. However, if you have a bad credit history you may be prohibited from getting an unsecured low interest credit card. Unsecured credit cards can be owned by those who have a good credit history, who pay off their monthly payments regularly, and have not had the need for debt relief settlements. Such low interest credit cards aid in effective debt management as well as provide various other discounts or benefits.

If you have good credit ratings and you make sure that do not use your credit card for reasons other than certain unavoidable emergencies then low interest credit cards can help you save the money that you would actually spend in paying off the credit card bills along with their high interest rates. There are various options that you can choose from depending on how much annual fees, APR%, etc. you wish in terms of your credit card.

Consider you require a card with zero annual fees or APR%. Then you may choose from the following:
Discover Platinum also has a preliminary rate of 0%APR and cash back bonus opportunities between 2 and 5%.

Chase Platinum Credit come with no annual fee and 0% APR rate for an introductory period of half a year. They also have some special traveling perks and travel insurance for their customers.
Businessmen who own businesses in which the investment is not too huge, often find it tedious to select the credit card providers who will satiate their needs completely. But now companies like Advanta offer platinum business card with no annual fees, 0% APR on balance transfers and lesser introductory rates for no balance transfer accounts. Apart from all this, Advanta also offers certain travel rewards and cash back schemes similar to Chase Platinum credit card.

However, you must realize that it is imperative for you to thoroughly understand every term and condition of the lender before finalizing on a particular credit card provider because once you sign the contract you cannot back off then. You may also seek help online through the innumerable websites that guide you to the correct lender. There are also Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which you can review before choosing the lender. Such additional help should be especially taken in case you have had credit card issues in the past.

2007 Mets Predictions

I think the Mets are here to stay. With three possible MVP candidates in David Wright, Carlos Beltran, and Jose Reyes and a solid pitching staff, I don’t see anyone dethroning them in the NL East. With that being said, whether this team can do much damage in the playoffs is yet to be determined. My guess is that the Cardinals will still be tough to trump in the National League pennant race.

The Mets pitching staff is not the best in baseball, but it has two key ingredients: experience and balance. Tom Glavine proved that he still has it last season with 15 wins which puts him right at the door step of 300. Despite injuries to guys like Pedro Martinez and Victor Zambrano, the Mets rotation still exceeded expectations with great work from John Maine, Orlando Hernandez, and Oliver Perez. With three lefties and two righties making up the starting five, the Mets have a nice balance to keep giving teams new looks in three and four-game series’. If Pedro can get healthy, he’ll only make this rotation stronger.

They don’t get any better than Billy Wagner in the Pen. He was 40-for-45 in converting save opportunities during the regular season. This guy doesn’t get batters out, he strikes them out. He tallied 22 more strikeouts than innings last season. The Mets will hope that he can steady his shaky playoffs performances, however, as he could be key in getting to the World Series.

How would you like to have David Wright as your number five hitter? Most teams in the league would love to have him as their number three hitter. Wright may move into the two-hole this season, but regardless of where he hits, the Mets have a menacing lineup. With Reyes, Beltran, Wright, Delgado, Alou, and Green, we will see uncanny power numbers once again. I didn’t even mention Lo Duca who is a great contact hitter at the catcher position.

Everything is going in the right direction for the Mets. A new stadium is on its way, cable revenue is way up, and the perfect blend of young talent and veteran stars should give Mets fans plenty of reasons to support their team. But after coming up short of the World Series in 2006, the Mets will have a lot of pressure to carry around on their shoulders to get to the Series. I don’t think a division title will be enough to keep Mets management or their fans happy. Winning makes you greedy which is why the Yankees fans from across town do not except anything less than winning it all every year. Anything less than a World Series title will be considered a failure in 2007.

The lack of upsets continued this past week as seven of the top eight teams in the nation (based on my power ratings) made the Elite Eight with North Carolina, Florida, UCLA, Kansas, Georgetown, Ohio State, and Memphis all advancing. The only team in my Top-8 that did not advance was Texas A&M who lost by one point versus Memphis.

The Final Four is now set with a pair of #1 seeds battling a pair of #2 seeds. The defending national champion Florida is still the team to beat as the Gators have a 36% chance of winning their final two games, followed by Georgetown at 24%, Ohio State 22%, and UCLA 18%. These percentages break down to the following “true odds” for those of you looking at the Final Four future prices.

Florida 2.8-to-1
Georgetown 4.1-to-1
Ohio State 4.5-to-1
UCLA 5.6-to-1

The two semi-final games present a pair of interesting matchups as Florida and UCLA meet in a rematch of last year’s national finals. The Bruins are 9-1 SU in all tournament games the past two tournaments with their only loss coming versus the Gators 73-57 last year.

The other semi-final presents a matchup of two of the best big men in the nation with 7′1″ Greg Oden and 7′2″ Roy Hibbert. It will be interesting to see if Ohio State is comfortable with the half-court style that Georgetown prefers to play.

There are four possible matchups for the national finals on Monday night. Below are the “true odds” of each pairing.

Florida/Georgetown 32% (3.1-to-1)
Florida/Ohio State 30% (3.4-to-1)
UCLA/Georgetown 20% (5.0-to-1)
UCLA/Ohio State 18% (5.4-to-1)

The UCLA vs. Georgetown matchup would be a nightmare for CBS with an extremely ugly halfcourt battle that might struggle to top 100 total points.

If you rent property, then you might think that it is hard to get hold of a good loan. However, this is simply not true anymore, and personal loans for tenants are increasingly popular. If you are a tenant and want more information on how to get a tenant loan, then this article might have some information that can help you.

What are tenant loans?

Tenant loans are often referred to as unsecured personal loans or non-homeowner loans. They are for people who do not have the collateral of property to secure against a loan amount. With house prices increasing, many people are renting property instead. Lenders have noticed this trend and are offering more and more competitive loan terms to people who do not own property.

Criteria for a tenant loan

Instead of securing the loan amount against your home, you need to prove to the lender that you are able to pay back the loan amount. This is done by reviewing your credit rating and employment details. If you have a good credit rating and have paid back all your debts on time before, and you are also in stable full-time employment, you should be able to get a loan. The amount you can borrow will obviously depend on your earnings and your credit history. The more you earn and the lower risk you are to the lender, the more you will be able to borrow. However, usually you can borrow between £500 and £10,000 over a period of 1 to 7 years.

Costs of a tenant loan

Obviously, because the lender does not have the added security of property against the loan, interest rates are generally higher than for homeowner loans. However, if you shop around you can get rates that are very good, which will help to keep the amount of interest you pay to a reasonable amount. Somewhere in the region of 7-10% is a good figure to look for when trying to get a tenant loan.

Poor credit rating problems

If you have poor credit or are self-employed, then getting a tenant loan will be harder. However, it is not impossible to get a loan at a good rate, even if you have poor credit. As long as you can prove to the lender that you are not a huge risk, you should be successful. There are companies that specialise in tenant loans for people with poor credit, but the rates they charge are often higher. Your best bet is to shop around online to find a good deal.

Fast to get hold of

Although you might not be able to borrow as much as you would with a homeowner loan, tenant loans do have the advantage of being quick to get hold of. Many online companies allow you to fill in your details online, and because there is no need to value your property you can have the loan in a matter of days or even hours. If you rent property, then consider getting a homeowner loan to cover your financial needs.

With the onset of December comes the season of shopping, the season to celebrate, the season of holidays. But once the New Years Eve is done with, we are hit by the bank statements or mails asking us to clear the bill payments. If you have not followed the holiday shopping tips of purchasing with cash, then you are seriously going to fall prey to the so called holiday credit card debts.

To get out of such credit card debts you need to proficiently manage your finances along with an effective plan of action to become debt-free. The first step towards this plan should be to evaluate all your income and debts with priorities on each.

Step 1: Prepare a list of all your bill payments and sort them out into specific groups like the credit card bills, mortgage bills, medical bills, or any other bank statements.

Step 2: Next, prepare a monthly budget for yourself. For this, you need to distribute your salary for the basic needs first. Do keep in mind that you should not use gross salary figures but instead need to use the actual take-away home figures. So you fix up your monthly budget for basic needs like food, transportation, monthly rentals/ mortgage, etc. After all these, you can then assign some budget for clothing, holiday trips, or any other unimportant purchases. Once your spending budget is ready, and you still have some money left, you can divert this amount to clearing off your debts or pending payments. But if you realize that after fulfilling your basic needs you do not have a penny to pay off your debts, then you are definitely facing severe crisis and need to consult a chartered accountant or a financial analyst on urgent basis.

Step 3: However, if you do have resources left after this budgeting, you should efficiently use them to clear the debts. You must also be cognizant of the fact that along with clearing off the debts, you ought to do some savings. These savings will help you to not get under the debt clouds in any emergency situations.

Step 4: You should always be proactive by being highly alert to any signals of debt hitch. Also, never skip certain debt payments to fulfill other debts. if you do so, you are on the threshold of entering the vicious circle of debts.

By following these simple yet vital steps, you can be debt-free and can secure your near future successfully.

There many types of carb blocker pills readily available to be purchased either through your local health and fitness store or at one of the many online stores today. In this article we will take a closer look at the ultra carb diet pill and how it works.

As with all carb blocker pills the ultra carb diet pill works in two ways.

Firstly it helps to prevent complex carbohydrates or starches that we consume in our food from being broken and absorbed into the body and then stored as fat.
Secondly it helps to prevent glucose or sugar that we consume from being converted into fat as well.

Because of this any excess carbohydrates that get consumed will be removed from our bodies before they have the chance of turning into fat.

Not only does the ultra carb diet pill contain phaselous vulgaris which is an extract of the northern white kidney bean, it also contains Gymnema Sylvestre which can be extracted from wheat. As well as these two extracts it also contains chromium polnicotinate. The extract from the white kidney bean is the substance which helps to prevent the complex carbohydrates or starches being broken down and absorbed into the body. Whilst the extract from the wheat germ (Gymnema Sylvestre) blocks the transformation of excess glycogen into fat and it does this by binding with the enzyme that is necessary for this reaction and is known as “Acetyl Coenzyme A”. But not only does it prevent the conversion of glycogen it also tones the blood and this in turn helps to strengthen our bodies.

However, what you should keep in mind if you decide to use ultra carb diet pills is that these and other carb blocker pills are not actually regulated by the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration). That means you need to do your due diligence when deciding to buy ultra carb diet pill.
