How long does it take to get your pilot’s license?

It is natural to be afraid of flying at heights of 10,000 feet above the ground. After
All, human beings are not born with wings naturally. Like any other form of
Transportation, flying has its own inherent risks. However, it is the safest form of
Travel, safer than driving. Apart from airplanes used in military combat and
Airliners, travel by all general aviation aircraft is ten times safer than automobile
Travel.

Flying a plane is not only exciting, but also a wonderful challenge. Traveling 400
Miles becomes a three to four hour trip by plane. Planning a weekend away to
The beach or to mountains or to any other location can become a reality when
You fly your own plane.

There are two major factors involved in determining how long it will take you to
Get your pilot’s license.

They are (1) the kind of license you are getting

(2) Amount of flight time.

There are three kinds of licenses in general that most pilots receive:
(a)-Private pilot license,
(b)-Commercial license,
And (c) flight instructor license.

Apart from these main licenses, there are numerous other certificates
That a pilot can receive to further enhance their knowledge, experience, and skill
Level.

A private pilot’s license allows a pilot to fly a single-engine airplane using visual
Flight rules (VFR) that require a visibility of at least three miles, even at night.
Private pilots can share operating expenses with passengers but cannot be paid
For flying them.

To be paid for transporting people across, a pilot has to get the
Commercial license.

A flight instructor license allows the pilot to teach others how
to fly and an airline transport certificate allows the pilot to fly an airliner.

The amount of flight time varies for each pilot license and certificate. Some
Require twenty hours, other requires forty hours, and yet others, require a
Minimum of two hundred and fifty hours. The average amount of time it takes a
Pilot to get their private pilot license is about six months, during which time they
Acquire all the knowledge and experience, take tests, and fly a lot with their
Instructor and alone. Of course, there may be variations to this depending on
You’re own personal circumstances and the weather as well. Flying in the winter or in inclement weather, may take undue amount of time or may even be cancelled.

Taking classes in good weather and continuously will enable you to get your
Private license in a relatively short amount of time.

The term “toddler” is generally used for babies between the ages of twelve months and twenty-four months. During this age, a child’s main interest is usually himself. Lots of plastic mirrors and a full-length mirror at his or her eye level are perfect at this time.
Toddlers may not share toys easily as they consider their toys to be most valuable possessions. Expose your toddler to other children to help him or her learn the skill of “sharing.”

Kindergarten readiness means a child has the ability to listen, focus, learn and socialize with other children and adults. Help your toddler develop these skills by having your child around other children and adults as well as teaching your child to play alone.

When a toddler learns something new, they want to it over and over again. Completely normal behaviors for a toddler is watching the same program over and over again or doing the same puzzle over and over. Do not want worry that your toddler is exhibiting obsessive-compulsive behavior.

Of special note, however, is a story I know of a little boy who seemed to be absolutely “obsessed” with certain things in his household. Each night when everyone else had gone to bed, this little boy would rise and go to the porch, where everyone kept their shoes in the summertime, and arrange all the shoes in an order that suited him. The family used an old bucket and dipper for drinking water. This little boy also had an obsession with the dipper and how it was positioned in the bucket of water. Each time a family member used the dipper for water; this little boy would rise from wherever he was at the moment, and go to the bucket to re-arrange the dipper to his liking in the bucket. Sad to say, this same boy grew into a man who continued to exhibit obsessions and compulsions and was ultimately diagnosed with an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I suppose the moral to this story is that there are limits, even if the child is a toddler. If your child seems to be excessively doing things over and over and is still performing these rituals by the age of 24 months, then you might want to at least mention this to your family doctor.

If your toddler seems to be afraid around others, don’t give in to this fear. Have your toddler in the company of others more often. He or she will soon learn to enjoy being around others instead of being afraid.

A lot of babies and toddlers love older folks as well. Visit older relatives, friends, or stop by a local nursing home. These visits also provide your baby and/or toddler with valuable lessons of how to treat older adults with honor and respect.

Vocabulary development:

Your toddler should be able to say at least two or three one-syllable words in a row with purpose by the age of 24 months. He or she should start saying things like “My bed,” “My teddy,” etc. You can expand your toddler’s vocabulary by constantly introducing new words. Start out using words like “fork,” “spoon,” “knife,” then progress to “silverware.”

Do not be surprised if your toddler calls all meat “chicken” or all vehicles “cars.” Until about the age of four, toddlers tend to generalize objects.

If your toddler substitutes easy words like “choo-choo” for “train” or “ee-ee” for “monkey,” you might think about arranging a speech-and-hearing test. Most communities offer free early diagnostic and intervention programs.

Remember that your toddler is always listening to what you say and watching what you do. Try to practice the feelings of: “do I want my child talking and behaving as I am at this moment.” You might be surprised to know just how much your examples will mold and shape the personalities of your children. Try to make your examples positive.

Also be careful about calling your child names like “brat” or telling your child that he is “bad.” He or she most likely believes everything you say, so when you use these kinds of names, your toddler may begin to learn that he or she truly is “bad.” Avoid name calling at all stages of development in your children’s lives.

Talk, talk, and talk to your child. Makes a special effort to listen carefully to what your child has to say to you. He or she is usually saying something important. If you ignore your child and refuse to listen, he may begin to feel “unimportant” to you and others around him or her.

Read a new book to your toddler every day at a certain time of the day. Make it a very special time between you and your toddler. These times are so important for your child’s development. It is also another way of saying to your toddler, I care so much about you and think you are so very special, I take time each day just to spend it with you and read a good book. These activities also teach your child to “love to read and to love books.”

These are just some of the many ways in which you can help your baby and/or toddler develop normally and for you to understand the development of your growing child.

These films do not hold a candle to the amazing piece of artwork that is “300″ Frank Miller, who did nothing but take a flashlight the size of the sun and shine it on his graphic novel work with green-lighting the film adaptation of “Sin City” in ‘05, is now back in film once again. But instead of Robert Rodriguez manning the directorial duties, Zach Snyder was tapped to do Miller’s graphic novel “300″, Znyder uses Rodriguez’s revolutionary visual green screen technique utilized in “Sin City” to create the world of Sparta and the Battle of Thermopylae for “300″. However, that isn’t to say that the two movies look the same. Where “Sin City” felt like a comic book in black and white as per Miller’s source material, “300″ feels like a whole different world.

The story is very simple Spartan King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) leads 300 of his finest warriors into battle against the vast Persian armies of King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Outnumbered beyond reason, Leonidas chooses to make his stand at the ‘Hot Gates’, a twisted mountain path facing the sea where the vastness of the Persian army will be of no use. Meanwhile, on the home front, Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) struggles with the corrupt and complacent Greek senate to send reinforcements to aid in the King’s battle.

The actors are deserving of a word or two. Gerard Butler’s Leonidas was a bit over the top, intense every moment. Some acting dynamics would have made his high-intensity scenes feel more intense. The same is true to come extent of the entire cast. Lena Headey was great as the unfortunately-named Queen Gorgo, and Dominic West was wonderfully malicious as the evil traitor Thereon.

300 was by far the best cinematic experience that I have had since Return of the King came out. And that’s quite saying something .The visuals in the movie were spectacular and unique. The colors used were perfect with an antique look about the whole movie. It was the best war movie I have ever seen with jaw dropping action sequences and tasteful slaying (blood was flying, but in a good way). Don’t go around looking for character development and chemistry between actors .If you are eager for one hell of a movie, Look no further.

DaimlerChrysler AG’s Mercedes-Benz brand has recently announced the 100,000th sales milestone of the company’s CLS-Class luxury 4-door coupes. Actually, more than 100,000 units of the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class are already sold in markets and delivered to customers all over the world since the new Mercedes-Benz 4-door luxury coupe model was launched in 2004. Stuttgart-based automaker said the top selling markets for the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class are in Germany and in the United States.

“The CLS-Class combines the elegant design vocabulary and dynamics of a coupe with the comfort and functionality of a sedan in a completely unmatched way.” said Dr. Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Mercedes Car Group, responsible for Sales and Marketing.

“The extraordinarily positive customer response to a model that is still unique underscores Mercedes-Benz’ role as a trendsetter in the development of new vehicle concepts and impressively demonstrates the success of our product strategy.” he added.

In addition, in an official company press released, Mercedes-Benz reports that:
“Demand for the CLS is particularly high in the U.S., where about 27,000 units have been sold since the vehicle was introduced to the market in January 2005. The second most important market for the four-door coupe is Germany accounting for about 20 percent of global sales. The most popular engine version in Germany last year was the CLS 320 CDI, which was chosen by more than half of the customers.”

The Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class comes with a wide range of models. These include CLS 350 CGI, CLS 500, CLS 63 AMG, CLS 320 CDI, CLS 550, and CLS 63 AMG. All models feature a sleek and luxurious body styling and impressive vehicle driving and handling performance coming from a 4-door coupe with 4-seat cabin. Before it goes on sale this summer, General Motors will first showcase the HUMMER H3 Alpha at the forthcoming 2007 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The H3 Alpha is the second model that will join HUMMER’s Alpha model series.

“H3 Alpha is, simply, the ultimate HUMMER H3. It delivers all of H3’s renowned off-road capability, but with enhanced performance that is suited to a variety of lifestyles.” said Martin Walsh, HUMMER General Manager.

“Because HUMMER stands for more than just off-road performance, the H3 Alpha builds on the style and refinement of the H3 lineup and offers a unique, instantly recognizable statement on the road. In short, the H3 Alpha matches HUMMER’s off-road expectations with on-road attitude. Details matter and our customers told us these details were particularly important, so we updated the H3 lineup to address them.” he added.

Powering the H3 Alpha is a monstrous 5.3-liter V8 engine that belongs to GM’s legendary small-block V8 range, which is similar to the power plant under the hood of Chevrolet Silverado truck. The engine pumps out a maximum 295 horsepower (224 kW) and produces 317 lb.-ft. (438 Nm) amount of peak torque, mated to a Hydra-Matic 4L60 electronically controlled four-speed automatic gearbox. The engine allows the H3 Alpha to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8 seconds, and offers a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds.

Just like the other members of GM’s small-block V-8 engines, the 5.3-liter found on the H3 Alpha also features advanced engine parts like deep-skirt cylinder block with cross-bolted main caps, high-flow cylinder heads, electronic throttle control,58x ignition system, e67 32-bit controller, polymer-coated pistons with full-floating wrist pins, returnless fuel system, lightweight valvetrain, steel camshaft, and low-restriction air intake system.

In spite of the engine’s powerful driving and towing performance, the small-block V8 engine offers cleaner exhaust emissions and complies with the U.S. Federal emission standard, thanks to the iron exhaust manifolds with four close-coupled catalytic converters, similar to Mercedes oxygen sensors found on one of H3’s competitor, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

“For jobs such as towing personal watercraft up a mountain to the lake, the small-block V-8’s torque performs with effortless ease and little impact on fuel mileage. The 5.3L engine greatly broadens the H3’s towing capability.” said Christopher Meagher, Assistant Chief Engineer of small-block V-8 truck engines.

“All of the powertrain options in the H3 lineup deliver performance suited to different driving styles and needs. But when it comes to certain tasks such as towing, there is sometimes no substitute for a V-8 engine.” he added.

Mercedes Benz– manufacturer of ML series and producer of quality ML parts like Mercedes ML320 parts– is one of the favorites of the tuning giant Brabus. Just recently the company engaged in a venture that involves the Mercedes ML 63. This special project has made its debut at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show.

The Brabus Widestar does not only present a new and exciting wide track version of the SUV but also presented the new Monoblock E 23-inch forged wheels and Brabus B63 S performance tuning for the ML 63 with 550 hp/404.8 kW.

The Widestar concept which is available for all current M-Class models combines dynamic looks and maximum functionality. The graceful flowing lines of the fender flares front and back increases the vehicle’s width by approximately 4 centimeters. The extra centimeters enhance the car’s looks while the wide track improves handling. The multi piece Brabus Monoblock E wheels with size 11 Jx23 were custom fitted for the wide track version of the M-Class. Their forge wheel center ensures an optimal combination of light weight design and maximum strength. The new light alloy wheels are mounted with high performance tires that measure 315/25 R 23.

Brabus has also equipped its Windestar Concept with a control module for the standard Airmatic air suspension that lowers the vehicle’s height by approximately 30 millimeters which further enhance its sporty road handling characteristics.

The Brabus Widestar body conversion kit is consists of add-on parts for the doors, and rocker panels that results to a more homogenous transition between the fender flares. There are also a complete front and rear fascias replacements for the production counterparts’ front and back. The front spoiler bumper with its three striking air inlets and four integrated auxiliary headlights lends the M-Class more power while minimizing lift on the front axle.

In addition, the combination of the rear spoiler, the rear fascia with integrated diffuser, and four chrome tailpipes of the Brabus stainless-steel sport exhaust system create a remarkable aerodynamic balance. And this very same aerodynamic property of the Brabus Widestar makes it the perfect platform for a tuned version of the ML 63.

The tuned ML 63 was developed by the Brabus motor engineers in the form of a B63 S performance kit. The production V8 engine produces 510 hp/375 kW and fitted with sport air filters together with high-performance metal catalysts and newly programmed engine electronics with custom mapping for ignition and injection. The combination of all these components gives off an increase in power output by 40 hp/31 kW to 550 hp/404.8 kW. The peak torque also increases from 630 Nm to 650 Nm.

Other benefits derived from the Widestar concept includes the ability to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 4.9 seconds. Similarly the engine tuning as well as the installation of the Brabus V/max unit increases top speed from 250 km/h to 275 km/h.

Safety features were made even better by the Brabus Widestar concept like for instance using high-performance brake system which features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers with vented and cross-drilled 380 x 36 millimeter discs on the front axle. Plus add to it the 355×28mm brake discs and 6 piston calipers in the rear enables this Widestar brake system to deliver an impressive stopping power that is comparable to purebred sports cars.

Interior designing is another specialty of the Brabus and for the M-Class they have created an exclusive interior options consisting of stainless steel door sills with illuminated Brabus logo, an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel and a leather covered door trim pieces to upgrade the factory leather. The Brabus exclusive leather interiors were made from carefully crafted combinations of the finest Mastik leather and Alcantara.

The production front seats were also equipped with special rear consoles that reach all the way to the headrests in which a seven-inch 16:9 LCD screens with integrated DVD player. There is also an electric folding table made from precious wood added to complete the interior.

The Mercedes master cylinder that is usually used for Mercedes vehicles are manufactured by Girling, ATE, and Bendix. Above the brake pedal is the stoplight switch, loosen lock nuts and adjust switch in such a way that the contact button extends 6-8mm and then afterwards tighten lock nuts.

Parking Brake

1.-Before raising the vehicle it is best to remove only one lug bolt at each rear wheel.

2.-Try to rotate wheel until lug bolt hole is positioned over parking brake adjuster at an angle of 45 degrees forward for diagonal swing axle and 90 degrees forward for diagonal swing axle with starting torque compensation. And remember that parking brake must be adjusted if the brake pedal can be depressed by more than 2 steps of 6 without any braking effect. Try not to try to alter screw on parking brake intermediate lever since these screws are for balancing cable lengths only.

3.-using a screwdriver inserted through the lug bolt hole, hand turn the adjuster until rear wheel can no longer be turned, back off the adjuster until it can be turned without the dragging the wheel.

Checking the Brake Warning Light

1.-On the dash is mounted a dual warning light, try to turn the ignition on. Normally you will see a light glowing once parking brake lever is pulled tone notch and goes off when brake lever is full released.

2.-To test the circuit warning sensor, again turn on the ignition, release the parking brake and make sure that the light is off. Open the bleeder screw on one wheel and depress brake pedal and the light should light up.

3.-Close the bleeder screw, refill the brake fluid and bleed system. Make sure also that light goes out after testing and if the light didn’t turn off then the differential pressure pin of the Mercedes brake master cylinder should be reset.

The NSTP theory is a (philosophy of mind) semi-idealistic as well as semi-dualistic theory that the material universe, where some peculiar phenomena like quantum non-locality exist in, is exclusively a group of superhuman as well as non-superhuman thinking processes existing in the form of (non-spatial physical/material) feelings (i.e. states of consciousness).
