The first step towards a noticeable solution of adult acne vulgaris is to understand the basis of acne formation. The dermatitis occurs when the sebaceous glands underlying the hair follicles of the skin overproduce sebum. The sebum oozes out of the pores of the skin, get intermingled with the dead epithelial cells from the outer layer of skin and chemical reaction leads to the development of hard red pilings called comedones. These clog the pores and are often quite painful. If the inflammations are pus filled and white, these are called as whiteheads, or if these turn black due to contact with the oxygen in the air, these are known as blackheads. The clogged hair follicles get saturated with sebum and swell up, get infected by bacteria and cause inflammations known as pimples. Eventually the pimples burst and release the contents. While the affected are heals, it often leaves scars.

Here are a few acne scar treatment methods that have been proven to be fairly effectual.

Retin A: this remedy is excellent in the treatment of skin conditions and scarring. However, due to its side effects, a medical practitioner should be consulted.

Mederma: this is a topical medicine believed to be effective in healing acne scars. The manufacturers have their own website that provides comprehensive information on the product.

Copper peptides: these comprise the modern modes of treatment and have gained widespread popularity. Detailed information is available on the official website of this scar treatment product.

Before beginning any treatment, one should ascertain which procedure will suit them best. A dermatologist should be consulted prior to trying out any medication. A wide variety of treatments are offered, and because of this some research work on the efficacy of such procedures is imperative.

Selection of the right treatment depends on a variety of factors, including the severity of scarring and the amount one can afford to spend. OTC ointments and creams may help deal with superficial scarring. Prescription medicines and advanced scar treatment procedures like laser therapy might be needed in extreme cases. Results often vary from one person to another.

Most health insurance companies treat the acne vulgaris and acne scar treatments as cosmetic procedures, and hence these treatments have to be paid for out of pocket. anyhow modern dermamycosis scar treatment methods have become extremely affordable and everyone can make use of the benefits of such treatment procedures. - acne scar treatment

There are many reasons as to why you should be considering the DeMarini Vexxum as your next choice when looking to purchase a new baseball bat. Firstly DeMarini Bats are one of the leading manufacturers in the industry of baseball and softball bat production. Also they are able to produce bats which can cope well with both slow pitch and fast pitch balls even if you are not the best hitter in the world.

But just why should someone consider purchasing a DeMarini Vexxum bat over say the Reebok Vector LSI.

Firstly this bat made by DeMarini is a combination of a composite handle which has flex tune and an aluminium barrel known as the half and half system. This system allows the weight to be redistributed in order that it provides optimal balance to the person using it so they are able to swing it faster with little effort. Because of this the player using this particular bat will find that they have more power behind their swing at the plate without actually having to exert as much energy themselves when going to hit the ball.

Also this bat feels much more comfortable when being handled because of the positack grip and it provides the player with much more control over the bat when using it. Another feature that you will not find on such bats as the Reebok Vector LSI is that it has a rotation index in the handle. What this means is that you are able to evenly break in your bat as well as distribute the load because after every visit to the plate you can rotate it a quarter of a rotation.

Some of the things to consider when purchasing a a Demarini baseball bat or softball the bats are not cheap compared to to other models. You also will probably have to deal with other people on your team using the bat so the life of the bat will shorten. If budget is an issue for you than you may want to look at other options.

What is especially good about the DeMarini Vexxum compared to such bats as the Reebok Vector LSI is that the half and half construction makes it much stronger. Plus the flex tune in the handle gives your swing delivery and more natural whip action which results in more power coming from the bat and being sent through to the ball after it has been pitched at you. Also the Demarini Vexxum long barrel technology has been able to provide players with the longest barrel possible which provides you with an even larger sweet spot on the barrel meaning that you are more likely to hit more good balls than bad balls.

Choosing the right bat for you can make a big difference in your performance in baseball or softball. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, was a spiritual and philosophical man. There is a great deal of controversy regarding the history and origins of Reiki. To understand this history, it is necessary to understand the man behind the healing. Usui-Sensei was born on April 15, 1865 in the small village of Taniai, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. At the age of three, it is reported that Usui was sent to a Tendai Monastery School. When Usui was 12, he began to study martial arts. This was the beginning of a longstanding appreciation for martial arts and training. He studied ‘Yagyu Ryu’, a martial art incorporating Samurai swordsmanship (Ken-Jutsu) and unarmed combat (Ju-jitsu). Usui went on to earn ‘Menkyo Kaiden’ in his 20s, this being the highest level of mastery in weaponry.

As a child and young man, Usui’s life was difficult. He did not come from a wealthy family, was regarded as an eccentric and had a number of jobs. He married Sadako Suzuki and had a son, Fuji, in 1908 and a daughter, Toshiko in 1913. While working in diplomatic service, he had the opportunity to travel to China, Europe and America where he learned about Western cultures. Usui has been reported to have practiced as a Tendai Buddhist Monk (not living in the monastery) and in 1922 studied Zen Buddhist training for three years.

Reiki has its roots in the religions Usui had studied, Tendai Buddhism and Shintoism. A form of mystical Buddhism, Tendai nurtured spiritual teachings and Shintoism incorporated manipulating energies. Usui, as a swordsman and proficient in kiko (the Japanese word for the Chinese art of Chi Gung), combined his martial arts skills and spiritualism studies and training to create his vision of Reiki Ryoho. This term, literally translated, is Spiritual Healing and the term was used by other therapists of the time.

Usui- Sensei, as he is known (meaning master), was teaching at this time and had some loyal students. In 1921, it is believed he employed the five principals/precepts (’gokai’) as adopted from the 1915 book ” Kenzen no Genri” (Health Principles) written by Dr. Bizan Suzuki: ” Just for today, do not anger, do not fear, work hard, be honest and be kind to others” into his teachings.

In March of 1922, Usui-Sensei climbed Mt. Kurama to perform fasting and meditation. On the last of his 21 days, it is said he experienced enlightenment in the form of a ball of light that spoke to him, giving him the opportunity to accept this light into his body, which could kill him but give him the energy to heal others. This is where Reiki was born. One month later, he opened a training center in Harajuku, Aoyama, Japan. “Unity of self through harmony and balance” was the motto for his teachings. Usui-Sensei administered his teachings to his students during a time of great modern change in Japan and it was important for people to retain historical spiritual teachings. It was here that he began his healing techniques. One of his students, an Imperial Naval Officer by the name of Dr Chujiro Hayashi, was responsible for bringing Reiki to the United States after Usui-Sensei’s death from a stroke in 1926.

The History Of Reiki

The teachings of Reiki Ryoho (Spiritual Healing) began with Mikao Usui becoming enlightened on the holy mountain of Kurama in the spring of 1922. Usui-Sensei was a spiritual man, constantly working to understand the meaning of one’s life and how to achieve contentment. He had many students who followed his teachings before his breakthrough 21 days of fasting and meditation on top of the mountain. His students referred to Usui’s system of spiritual teachings as ‘Usui Do’ (Usui hand-application) and the man himself named his system a ‘Method to Achieve Personal Perfection’. Usui taught his system as a method of self-discovery and development as well as a method for healing.

He healed many people throughout Japan and taught a handful of people his teachings, including three naval officers, one of who was named Dr. Chujiro Hayashi who is credited with bringing the Reiki teachings to the West together with another student of Reiki, Mrs. Hawayo Takata. Mrs. Takata was Hawaiian and traveled to Japan to learn spiritual teachings under the tutelage of Dr. Hayashi. After Usui’s death in 1926, Hayashi continued with the teachings of Usui and renamed his teaching center ‘Hayashi Reiki Kenyu-kai, (Hayashi Reiki Research Centre). He added hand positions for healing that are well integrated into the now traditional Western Reiki Ryoho. Mrs. Takata brought these teachings back to Hawaii in 1937.

Mrs. Takata is said to be the last of Hayashi’s Reiki Master students before Hayashi took his own life in 1940. The history of Western Reiki teachings can all be traced back to Mrs. Takata. There is some controversy regarding Mrs. Takata’s storytelling on the part of communicating the history of Reiki to her students. At the time of her initial teachings of this Japanese healing technique, after World War II, the anti-Japanese sentiment in the West was high. She modified the history of Reiki to suit the times, transforming Usui’s history to be palatable to her Western students. This is where the false information of Mikao Usui’s being a Christian Monk began. She concocted a story about Usui’s worldwide quest for spiritual enlightenment and magical healing techniques based on his desire to understand how Jesus healed and performed miracles. Today, there still exists a great deal of incorrect reference in many Reiki resources to Dr. Mikao Usui, Christian Doctor, who studied theology.

In any case, Mrs. Takata had many students and called herself a ‘Grand Master’. This type of delineation or hierarchy is incongruent with the original teachings of Usui, who was not concerned with any type of dogma or guru-worship with Reiki. Between 1970 and 1980, when Mrs. Takata died, she taught 22 ‘Reiki Masters’ the teachings of Dr. Hayashi, who in turn was teaching his modified Usui Reiki Ryoho. From these ‘Masters’ the Western World has been indoctrinated with Reiki and it is now a spiritual practice and healing method studied by millions of people. In the 1990’s many Westeren Reiki teachers wanted to travel to Japan to uncover the ‘original’ Japanese Reiki techniques and clarify the beginnings of Reiki.

This information continues to be cloudy, as the living Japanese descendents of the ‘original’ Reiki techniques, in true Japanese fashion, did not want to offend their guests by offering conflicting information about Reiki’s history. Much of what is practiced and taught in Japan today actually comes from the more Western Style of Reiki Ryoho.

During my high school years, I had terrible acne all over my face. Unfortunately, the acne left some scars that look many small dimples on my cheeks. I feel like I’ve tried every product out there and have spent hundreds of dollars. One of the best products I found for clearing my acne was surprisingly not Proactiv as many people would suspect. It is called Beautiful Skin. Yes, I did try Proactiv and I wasn’t completely satisfied as some of the other “no name” products such as this one. The great thing about Beautiful Skin was its free 30-day trial. All I had to pay was the cost of shipping. I stuck with Beautiful Skin for about five months before trying various acne scar removal products. Like most, if not all, acne treatment products, Beautiful Skin involves a few steps (four to be exact) that are done once or twice a day. These include:

  1. Cleanser: Gently removes dirt and makeup without drying the skin
  2. Toner: Refreshes and softens the skin
  3. Day Serum: Lightweight, non-greasy gel helps combat daily pollutants while heals acne
  4. Cream: Gentle, yet effective, treats and heals acne without irritation and helps prevent future acne

Beautiful Skin is not just for teenagers either; adults can use it effectively too! My mother had a light case of acne during the summer and she used some of my Beautiful Skin to get rid of it in a matter of weeks. Seems to work great for all acne cases, whether its as bad as mine or very light cases of acne. I cover more acne treatment tips and acne scar removal products in my blog:

The Western style of Reiki teachings is focused on the use of symbols or shirushi (Japanese) to convey the Reiki energy to the person being healed. It is said that in Mikao Usui’s original teachings he did not employ the use of these symbols. He did, however, bring the symbols into Reiki when he taught the three naval officers his techniques, one of who was Dr. Hayashi, supposedly because they were having difficulty understanding how to transmit energy on a spiritual level and Usui procured the symbols to help them grasp this concept. These symbols were further developed by Hayashi in his spiritual teachings after Usui’s death.

In Western Reiki, the symbols are used as ‘keys’ to the Reiki practitioner. The practitioners intuition must be developed and, using his or her hands guided by energy, either to fixed positions on the body or intuitively ’scanning’ to the body to be healed. The Reiki ‘Masters’ are attuned to the symbols and use these symbols to invoke Universal Life Force Energy, vibration and cosmic or celestial energy that flows through the practitioner into the body to be healed.

SYMBOL 1- CHO KU RAY (Pronunciation “choh-koo-ray”)

Alias: “The Power Symbol”

This Symbol is used to focus Reiki on a specific location, drawing energy from around the practitioner for a specific intent. It is used an all-purpose symbol and may be used as a seal or amulet for protection. Practitioners use this symbol to cleanse negative energies, on food, drink or material possessions. This symbol can be used in conjunction with other Reiki Symbols for further empowerment and to seal energies after the treatment is given.

SYMBOL 2- SEI HEI KI (Pronunciation: say-hay-key)

Alias: The Mental/Emotional Symbol

This Symbol is utilized primarily for the treatment of mental and emotional issues, calming the mind and for the treatment of addictions. Also employed in treating stress, anxiety, fear, depression and nervousness. It can help to cleanse and heal past traumas or emotional blockages. It removes bad vibrations and negative energies, to balance the left and right brain, for psychic protection and to deprogram inappropriate behavior as well as programming positive habits.

Sei Hei Ki restablishes emotional balance and harmony.

SYMBOL 3- HON SHA ZE SHO NEN (Pronunciation: Hanh-shah-zay-show-nen)

Alias: The Distance Symbol

Meaning: “Correct Thought /(Correct Mindfulness) is the essence of being” or “Right consciousness is the root for everything

This symbol is made of 5 kanji characters making up HSZSN.

It is used to send Reiki ‘at a distance’ to people, animals, places, situations or events. It is also used to send Reiki across the idea of time as we know it. Using this symbol, the practitioner sends Reiki to situations that have passed and/or events that have not yet happened. This symbol can also be used to assist interaction with spirits of place, ancestry, ancestry energy patterns or deity.

In some forms of Reiki, this symbol is understood to represent the idea that there is ‘oneness’ between practitioner and receiver of Reiki, that energy transcends delineation of forms.

SYMBOL 4- DAI KO MYO (Pronunciation: dye-ko-me-o)

Tip #3 Get With The Best:
One of the most powerful things you can do in web site traffic optimization is to get with the best. In any niche there are usually two or three authority sites that get most of the traffic in that niche. Under them there are usually another five or six decent sites that get a fare chunk of traffic. The key to success online is in networking and sharing. Start building relationships with websites in your niche, even if you consider them to be your competition. Exchanging ideas, links and even viral guides can add credibility to both your businesses and improve both your traffic statistics.

Tip #4 Spy On The Rest:
Ok, so if you really don’t want to network with your competition then you should at least ’see’ what the sites in your niche are doing. SEO Elite is a very powerful software package that allows you to ’spy’ on your competition and to look underneath the ‘engine’ of any website. SEO Elite is a very powerful web site traffic optimization tool and once you know what the best sites in your niche are doing you can simply copy their strategies and even improve it.

Tip #5 Tap Into Web 2.0
Social websites, or community websites as they are commonly called, makes up what became known as Web 2.0. This really is like a ’separate’ internet and one that is purely based on personal contact. Web 2.0 is definitely the most exciting thing that happened to the internet since it’s start. Web site traffic optimization without Web 2 traffic sources is almost unthinkable in this day and age.

Regardless of your niche, your personal preferences and your budget, web site traffic optimization is something you must do on a daily basis. Doubling your traffic every month is not some far fetched idea, but it really is an achievable goal. Many people are looking for that ‘one golden nugget’ that will bring them thousand of automatic visitors. This will rarely happen. Traffic is something that you ‘build’ and it must be a process that is consistent.

Online, traffic is a currency and it directly translates to money. Web site traffic optimization is just so much more than just getting more visitors to your website. It’s about increasing your credibility, establishing yourself in a market and improving your sales, profits and visibility. Ironically, the biggest challenge that any website face is not in how to get traffic, but in actually ‘getting it’ - the biggest challenge is in sitting down and getting out there to bring home the traffic. Anyone can do it, but you have to do it.

How to Structure an Article

In my previous article I talked about how to optimize an article to get the highest listing possible in the search engine results. In this article I’ll talk about how to structure an article to give the best impression to your readers.

Article Structure

Remember, with any article you are ‘presenting’ information to your reader and you must make your presentation compelling.

There is a very old but tried and tested rule when presenting information to people. I use this rule every time I write any article and I recommend you do as well.

1.-Tell them what you are going to tell them.
2.-Tell them it.
3.-Tell them what you have just told them.

So right there you have the outline for your introduction, body and conclusion of your article.

Let’s use an example:-

Title: Potty Training Your Baby - Five Easy Steps

Intro: “In this article I’m going to give you five easy steps on potty training your baby…”

Body: “List the five potty training steps”

Conclusion: “I hope you enjoyed my five easy steps on potty training your baby…In my next article…

An Article Template

This is the template I use together with the important elements to include in each section

Title : Make sure you include your long tail keyword.
Introduction: Tell them what you are going to tell them and make sure you include your long tail keyword.
Body : Tell them it! 300 - 600 words. No more, no less. Make sure you break the body up into smaller paragraphs. If you can, add bullet points. A list of tips is very effective.
Conclusion : Tell them what you have just told them and make sure you include your long tail keyword.

Big Tip! - Both the Article Directories and the search engines love series of articles, so keep that in mind.

Once you have mastered how to structure an article, not only do they become easier to write but are far more presentable and compelling for your readers. In my next article I’ll talk about the most important part of your article writing. How to write a compelling Author Biography?

Is that a question? The act of blogging or, putting out personal, private, community or sub-cultural information, thoughts, opinions and communication for the masses is by no means a new idea. People have been forcing their opinions down other people’s throats since the dawn of man and the development of language and the written word. Beginning with writing on stone tablature to record accounting of goods and services to monks scribbling scripture to the invention of typesetting and the newspaper to radio to television to the Internet, human beings have wanted to express themselves verbally to a mass audience in order to effect change or simply stir things up. Blogging allows for the small, insignificant individual to bring to the world wide web his or her thoughts, musings and beliefs for better or worse.

The benefits of this not entirely untapped genre are bountiful. There are no editors. There are no rules for grammar, spelling, biased or unbiased viewpoints. There are no (so far) corporate magnates controlling the content of the Blogosphere. Ideas may be presented at the whim of the author; there is no red tape or bureaucracy to navigate through or around. There doesn’t need to be any sugarcoating. It is instantaneous, live and collaborative. A person can respond to the another person’s seemingly frivolous diatribe on the benefits of a cheese sandwich and, boom!, a communication is born that can spiral out of control, spinning to the far corners of cyberspace or simply lie dormant or dead, never to be discussed again. There is no schedule. No waiting. Perfect for our day and age of get it now, while it’s hot because once it’s cool, no one will care. Radio, TV and newspapers creep at a turtle’s pace compared with blogging. It is a system of checks and balances on the Internet itself. Content put out into the public consciousness can be responded to instantly. The user controls it and gives validation to each person’s personal opinion. This social phenomenon connects the world by the mere fact of communication. Author X writes a post. Reader Z disagrees. Reader Z comments, instantly responding to the ‘authority’ of the author X. Reader Z’s comment starts a new train of thoughts and opinions among 15 other readers and writers. People include the commentary and the original article in new weblogs, and so on and so on until the topic and content itself is maxed out.

The creation of blogs has skyrocketed in the last two years. According to Technorati, a San Francisco based website dedicated to tracking, researching and highlighting “what’s new” in “citizen media” (the blogosphere), as of August 2006, statistics are showing that there are over 55 million blogs. The survey began in November 2002 and shows that the blogosphere is 100 times bigger than a mere 3 years ago. From March 2004- June 2006, the amount of blogs doubled every 5-7 months. Since June 2006, blogs are doubling every 200 days. This breaks down to 2 new blogs being created every second of every day, somewhere in the world and being updated over 18 times a second. That’s an incredible amount of information being traded, responded to, recreated and linked back and forth. This is the future of the Internet and it’s happening right now. It is no longer a tool to submit to and look at or observe, it has become an interactive tool to express opinions, thoughts and a democratic account of one’s existence.

“In a sense, Blogs function like peer-review journals do in the academic world, but there’s a key difference. The distribution of articles in academic journals is largely controlled by a publishing cartel that charges exorbitant amounts for subscriptions, which are subsidized by the institutions that can afford them. Think of it as a socialist model for information exchange. With Blogs, however, anybody with an Internet connection can engage anybody else. Concepts are presented, attacked, sliced, diced, added to and subtracted from, mangled, massaged and molded until what is left is an amalgam of the finest we as an online society has to offer. For the digitally well-endowed, it’s akin to free-market capitalism, with information as its currency. And not only do we all get to watch, we can join in.” Adam Peneberg, “Like it or Not Blogs Have Legs”, Wired News.

With gas prices soaring and no end in sight, what are parents of college bound kids to do. A right of passage is to get a car so that you are not stranded while away at college. What an expense that can be. If most of your time is going to be traveling around campus or just off campus, then would it not make sense to opt for a cheaper, more convenient means of transportation? Here is your solution.

The perfect transportation for campus. Instead of running across campus, waiting for the bus or hoping for a ride from a classmate, you will have safe, reliable transportation to an from classes. Electric scooters are becoming more accepted on campus and you don’t have to fight for a parking spot.

Stop running across campus to your next class. With an electric scooter at your disposal, you have to time to stop on the way and still get to your next class in time. By having an electric scooter at your disposal, you can get to your next class with plenty of time to spare.

You don’t have to wait on your friends anymore, nor do you have to depend on them to get you where you need to be on time. Stop wasting time waiting for the bus and hop on your electric scooter. You are no longer confined to the schedule of the bus and you don’t have to worry about it running late any longer. With your electric scooter, you will probably get there faster and with time to burn than waiting for and riding the bus.

Electric scooters are reliable transportation. With the average scooter going about 15-20 (+/-) miles on a single charge, you will have no problem getting where you want. Electric scooters required minimal maintenance as well. The only real maintenance is ensuring that you have enough charge to get to your destination and making sure the tire pressure is correct to provide maximum efficiency.

Stop fighting over parking spaces. So much time is spent looking for a parking space that is not out in Egypt. Another significant amount of time is spent walking from your parking space to class. Just pull up in you electric scooter and park right in front.

College campuses are accepting this means of transportation and some have even made special parking concessions for electric scooters. At some colleges, electric scooters ssre treated like bicycles. They love the fact that they are quiet and friendly on the environment.

The next time you are out on campus, count the number of scooters you see. Their popularity is increasing and soon will out number the cars.

So if you’re smart, you will avoid the traffic, gain some time and put some money back in your pocket and get on board with a new electric powered scooter.
