We are in the business of relationship building. How can you develop a relationship with anyone if you don’t send, speak, write or communicate with them frequently? The easiest way to start to do that is to collect e-mails addresses, physical mailing addresses and or phone numbers. Today everyone is afraid of spam, and to be blasted by offers in their e-mail or at their home or office. They are already conditioned to dismiss an uninvited person as a pest or nuisance.

You have to get past their guard. One of the ways to do that is to make it feel harmless. Would you like to receive a copy of my Free newsletter or catalogue of the many unique products we offer? No obligation to buy. They may give you the mailing address or the PO Box address. Send them what you told them you would.

If you see them on a daily or weekly basis, you could have a sign up sheet, where you get their phone numbers and or e-mails addresses in case of an emergency. Again use their information for just that. If you need to cancel a class or session, call or e-mail them. That is building a trusting relationship with them.

When you e-mail them make sure in the subject line it says your name and re: schedule change or cancellation of meeting. They would be sure to open it. Same if you call. Hi so and so this is “Michelle, I’m calling to tell you about a cancellation. Sorry about that can you make it at this new time?”

Another way to get the clients e-mail or physical address is to ask. Would you like to receive updates from me from time to time? I’m planning a newsletter would you like to be updated when that occurs? Then you have permission to send them updates of what you are doing. A new product comes out, or you wrote a book. Let your clients know about it. That is a legitimate reason to contact them.

Another reason that they would like to give out the e-mail address or physical address is a contest or raffle of some sort. We are giving away an hour coaching session please fill out your contact information.

Still another way to ensure that they may want to give their e-mail address is to give something away for free. No strings attached. You gave your e-mail address, and I’m going to reward you with a free downloadable report. Yours to keep.

Once you have the e-mails or physical addresses don’t abuse it. Let them know that you will be sending them information of importance to them. Don’t send them all sorts of offers. If they want to leave your list take them off immediately. Make it easy for them to get off. Send something to them at least once per month. But whenever possible keep collecting those addresses. Your list is vital to building your business.

Numerology’s Birth Chart and Missing Numbers - Things Lacking in Your Life

Ever wander why two people with the same Life Path number, or Astrology sign can be so different? In Numerology, part of the explanation is that your Life Path is made up of different combinations of numbers in your date of Birth. And the greatest difference occurs when you have numbers which are missing; indicating things you need to work on in your life.

Everyone has some missing numbers in their Birth chart; with a Gregorian birth date of eight digits, you’ll always have at least one number missing. Missing numbers don’t point to some fatal flaw; rather they show us areas we need to improve in. These are the aspects that give flavor to your personality; that color your life.

Determining your Missing Numbers

Your missing birth chart numbers are those digits, (1) through (9) which are not used in your full Gregorian date of birth. For example Johnny Depp was born on June 9th, 1963, so charting his birth date, we get:

06/09/1963 = (1)(-)(3)(-)(-)(66)(-)(-)(99) (missing digits: 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8)

So, Johnny Depp has (5) different missing numbers on his birth chart.

(Missing 1)

You need to work on your confidence and drive. Learn to take the lead in your relationships and not be shoved into the background by others. Work on your self-image.

(Missing 2)

You need to become more sensitive to the needs of others. Learn to trust your intuition about other people. You need to be more open to cooperation with those around you.

(Missing 3)

You may have a need for more imagination or you may find creative expression difficult in some manner. Math can be a problem area for you.

(Missing 4)

You need to be more practical in your day-to-day life. You dislike working on tasks which are boring or do not challenge you. Carelessness over details can cause problems for you. Many tasks that you attempt will be abandoned before they are completed.

(Missing 5)

You have problems in motivating yourself and need to be pushed by outside forces to be productive. You tend to be uncertain about which path to take in life. You recognize many opportunities in your life but don’t know how to use them. A life partner or friend who pushes you to take action can be a blessing to you.

(Missing 6)

Your home life, though important, is not the central focus of your life. An appreciation of beauty or art may need to be developed. You may have had conflict with one of your parents as a child. Some element may be missing from your home life.

(Missing 7)

You may be hesitant to rely on yourself for strength. You fear loneliness and crave the support of others. You may have problems keeping yourself physically fit. You distrust anything which must be taken on faith; you need to see things with your own eyes before you’ll believe them.

(Missing 8)

You need to work on your organizational skills. You tend to avoid the details in a job. You may have a lazy streak. Carelessness about money may be a problem area. Lack of attention to the mundane chores of life could be your downfall.

(Missing 9)

You need to develop a broader view of life; a long-term goal. Seek the help of others in this area; their world view may be clearer than yours.

I was watching Judge Judy the other afternoon. The litigant was charging her “ex-friend” with fraud. The defendant asked her friend to cash some money orders for her. Apparently, there was a Nigerian model that had some money orders she needed cashed. She couldn’t do it in her own country so she sent out a rash of unsolicited emails hoping someone would come to her aid.

If you cashed the money orders for her, you could keep a certain percentage and then wire her the remainder. Naturally the model would only accept U.S. cash.

Oddly enough, the money orders were fraudulent. But by the time the bank notified the litigant of this fact, she had already passed on the cash to her ex-friend, who had kept her share and wired the rest to the poor model in Nigeria.

Now, my question is…how is it that people continue to get duped by email scams promising the world?

Yes, it’s fair to say the scammers sending out fraudulent emails are greedy, hoping to cash in on peoples apparent good will. At the same time, it’s important to note that the people responding to the emails are also hoping to make a lot of money for doing basically nothing themselves.

In the end, both parties are, when it comes right down to it, greedy. Remember…if it sounds too good to be true…it probably is.

The same logic can be applied to the mountains of unsolicited emails I get every day touting tomorrow’s “Wall Street juggernaut today”. Somehow, I am one of the fortunate ones lucky enough to receive the “heads up” on tomorrows next wonder stock.

According to my most recent unsolicited email, (grammatical errors aside) I need to “GET IN BEFORE THEY RISE AGAIN SO YOU CAN TRADE AT THE TOP THIS WEEK!”

For fun, I watched this stock’s trading patterns over the next couple days…just to see how many people got involved in this dog-of-a-stock. Well, the stock was trading near $0.45 the day the emails went out. Over the next two days the stock soared to $1.01, by the third day it had fallen back to the $0.45 range. Where it continues to linger.

More often than not, the individuals or companies pumping these publicly traded companies are paid in stock. No where in the press release does it say they are paid in restricted stock. And I guarantee they sell their stocks the day after the email blitz is sent out to unsuspecting investors.

Naïve investors that think they are going to get something for nothing. And they won’t.

Still, I have to ask myself, why would someone give me an unsolicited heads up on a financial windfall? Exactly, they wouldn’t.

If the stock was so great, they’d secretly snap up shares themselves. I certainly would. But the fact is the stock isn’t all that great and they need unsuspecting investors to buy into the hype and send the stock price higher.

Stock market scams are not limited to emails. Stock market hucksters have evolved in stride with modern day technology.

Aside from showing old clips of WKRP in Cincinnati, YouTube has become a stomping ground for stock scams. Companies issue press releases promoting their high-tech developments to investors on YouTube. For astute investors, this might raise a few eyebrows…and red flags.

One investor I am aware of drops the names of the executives of companies he receives spam emails from into the SEC’s litigation database. It may (or hopefully not) surprise you to learn that a number of these executives have been charged with “Executing a Fraudulent Pump and Dump…”

This bit of 15-second Due Diligence can yield eye-opening results.

So, avoid reading unsolicited emails and financial invitations to YouTube. Neither will help you locate good stocks.

Meet The New Microsoft MP3 Player

For those of us who are old enough to remember the 8-track tape and the vinyl record, we can appreciate the advancements that playing music has made over the past years. In a blink of an eye we went from large records to small discs; and now, playing music wherever we are rarely requires more than a tiny piece of equipment that can easily fit into our shirt pocket or slip into our briefcase. The MP3 player has utterly transformed the way in which we listen to music. And savvy companies know that in order to stay competitive they have to get in the game. So it’s no wonder that Microsoft has entered the world of this technologically advanced portable music with the Microsoft MP3 player.

An MP3 player plays recorded music that you have stored on the system through the downloading of CDs or the purchase and download of music through online resources. The MP3 technology literally compresses audio files into its smallest size without compromising sound quality. The result of the compression is enough room to store - in some cases, depending on the MP3 player - up to thousands of songs. Better still, the MP3 player is a portable unit often no bigger than a pack of playing cards and can be connected to your car, headphones, or portable speakers to enjoy music anywhere.

Until now, Apple’s iPod has cornered the market in the world of MP3 players, offering a variety of models that complement Apple’s comprehensive online resources. In an effort to level the playing field, the new Microsoft MP3 player - the Zune - has been launched for a waiting public.

This new Microsoft MP3 player promises to further revolutionize the world of music through a variety of high-end offerings previously unseen in the market of MP3 players. With larger storage, a bigger, brighter screen, the ability to share music from Zune to Zune, and a built-in FM radio, the Microsoft MP3 player has greater functionality that its closest competitors to date.

Like Apple and its iPod, Microsoft understands that in order for the Microsoft MP3 player to be its most successful it must offer comprehensive and convenient online resources for users. For instance, the ability for users to transfer music to and from each other is handled through the Zune online marketplace where members can share their favorite tunes.

In addition to storing all your favorite songs, the Microsoft MP3 player also offers video capabilities, allowing users to download video content onto their Zune and enjoy it on its 3-inch LCD screen anywhere they are.

With the ability to enjoy the Microsoft MP3 player anywhere and everywhere, users are sure to enjoy this new member in the MP3 marketplace.

Add Some Insolence to Your Home With a New Armoire

Besides having the snootiest name in the furniture kingdom, the armoire is, in fact, a very useful and practical piece of furniture. Ideal for both the bedroom and living areas, armoires make great use of space as they are tall and narrow, as opposed to the square footage-hogging dresser or chest of drawers who have been plopping their wide bodies in bedrooms around the world for centuries. The armoire, literally and figuratively, looks down on these lesser, distant relatives with disdain and an air of superiority. The armoire is French, after all.

Armoires can be seductively beautiful on the outside. From the traditional old-timers with their carved accents and exquisite detailing, to the sleek new kids on the block, hangin’ tough with simple, square lines and a sophisticated modern aesthetic, armoires are renowned for their looks. But to dismiss the armoire as just another pretty piece of pine would be very presumptuous. The armoire has so much more to offer.

Many armoires can accommodate up to a 32″ television. For those who are still living in the dark ages and haven’t made the jump to a plasma or LCD flat panel, this is a very appealing feature (seriously though, it’s time to upgrade). Also, there are still those out there who see the television as an eyesore, and the ability to hide it behind closed doors, only letting it out when you want to be entertained, like a clown or court jester, appeals to you (you selfish bastard). In addition to this large upper chamber, which can be used for the aforementioned TV storage or as extra closet space for your hanging frocks, armoires are often equipped with two or more good-sized drawers down below. These bottom drawers are ideal for everything from media storage to clothing, and everything in between. Just keep your Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme DVD’s elsewhere. Most armoires are way too highbrow for that filth.

One last thing. If you’re going to own an armoire, you need to know how to correctly pronounce it. The dictionary says to pronounce it thusly: ahrm-wahr. I say, go all out and be as hoity-toity and contemptuous as possible and avoid pronouncing the “r” altogether. More like aahm-waah. Go ahead and try it a few times, just let it roll right off your supercilious little tongue. Oh, and enjoy your new armoire.

Some astute penny stock investors look on the front page of the daily newspaper to see what kinds of stocks they should be investigating in. Marketing and speculation are after all one of the engines that help propel the markets on a daily basis.

Still, there are other penny stock investors who glance at the calendar; taking note of upcoming holidays. Some stocks operate more cyclically than others. Meaning, there are some penny stocks that perform better at different times of the year.

Holidays can also help you look for companies you may not encounter on a regular basis.

For example, this past Wednesday was Valentine’s Day. While your immortal beloved may forgive you for neglecting Robby Burns Day or even St. Patrick’s Day…Valentine’s Day is (probably) a different matter altogether.

Even if you don’t have (or want) someone to spend Valentine’s Day with, it’s a marketing bonanza that should make most investors wake up and smell the roses. And maybe uncover neglected penny stocks that are directly impacted by the holiday.

Valentine’s Day remains the nation’s third-biggest occasion for spending, behind only Christmas and the back-to-school season, according to the National Retail Federation.

This year, the average consumer spent $119.67 on Valentine’s Day, up from $100.89 last year. With six of every 10 consumers celebrating the holiday, their total outlay on Valentine’s Day is expected to reach $16.9 billion.

Greeting card sales have increased over the past decade, which means that Valentine’s Day–already America’s second-largest holiday for greeting cards, trailing only Christmas–should be a real boom.

The U.S. Greeting Cards Association estimates that Americans sent out 190 million paper cards this past Valentine’s Day. That number doesn’t even include those given out by children at school.

If investing in cards leaves you cold, you could look into flowers. According to the California Cut Flower Commission some 189 million rose stems were sold this past Valentine’s Day. In fact, Valentine’s Day is the number one floral market holiday, capturing 35% of holiday transactions and 34% of dollar volume.

Here’s another reason why penny stock investors should check the calendar. The day of the week a holiday falls traditionally determines the amount of business shops will enjoy.

If it falls on Friday and Saturday, people tend to go out to eat more, rather than buy chocolates. Falling on Wednesday this year — smack in the middle of the week — Valentine’s Day 2007 should prove delightful for chocolate emporiums.

In February, jewelry stores in the United States will sell over $2.5 billion worth of merchandise. According to the Chocolate Manufacturers’ Association, more than 36 million heart-shaped boxes of chocolate were sold by Valentine’s Day.

The point of all these statistics is to illustrate just how lucrative the holidays can be. While a couple of greeting card companies may have a strong-hold on the North American market, there are other publicly traded small-cap card companies out there.

A strong holiday season may only be seen as a blip to mid or large-cap stocks, but one strong quarter can significantly boost the bottom line of a penny stock.

Look close enough and you’ll find that there are a number of specialty retail penny stocks waiting to be discovered; companies that sell flowers, cards, party favors, perfume, and jewelry.

And if you happened to have forgotten Valentine’s Day this year, just say that you like to celebrate that special day in the Japanese tradition. In Japan, men are not expected to give chocolates or cards on Valentine’s Day, and in fact do not. Valentine’s Day is a day where women give chocolate to men.

The Importance of the Decision Making Process

In No Limit Holdem, it seems it can’t be stressed enough the importance of the decision making process on any given play. I’m writing this for my own good as much as for anyone else who may be struggling in this area. Making bad calls, checks, or raises in my game is the #1 offender to my loss ratio. For example, the tourney in question I am referring to one player limped, all else folded to the big stack. Big stack raises to 400(blinds 50/100), I have 99 and push to roughly 2400. Honestly looking at it in retrospect, with 99 here, I would be hard pressed to even call this bet let alone raise all my chips. It was too early in the tournament to make a play like this. The limper folds, the big stack calls, turns over QQ and I lose the tourney.

The factors I should have taken 15 to 30 seconds to think about were my position and the myriad of hands I could have put him on that would allow me to make the proper DECISION about my action. Instead, in my mind, I wanted to “gamble” at that point in the tourney because all I could see was what position that would put me in had I won the hand. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

There’s also a large mental block here that has been creating hindrances in my recent game performance. I have been finding myself wanting to blame other things besides my own play (the site, “luck”, other players’ actions/attitudes, the rng, etc.). Does this sound familiar, too? I’m not trying to call anyone out or pinpoint a particular player by asking those questions, just trying to provoke thought about your game in these areas. Yes, referring back to the above hand analysis given, poker is very situational. But, in that instance, I believe the “situational” excuse could have been left out of the equation.

One final thought, I must always try to remember to play when I have enough time to play a tourney, and when I am NOT hungry, angry, or tired. If you would like to see more No Limit Holdem strategy, visit my blog at

Many people, particularly older ones who have been married for a while, tend to take their partners for granted. They also believe there is nothing new for them to learn about life or love. But if we have not been taught how to communicate and solve problems, it is always useful to learn. Most parents are not able to teach their children the skills for handling difficult times, yet those skills are essential for keeping the romance from dying in relationships, especially on days when the children are crying, money is tight and the job is boring or demoralising. New ideas and fashions relating to social interaction are always being introduced so, as we go through life, we will change, our partner will change and our relationship will change. Staying open to accepting change means we can grow from it rather than resisting it. Learning about ourselves and our partners, while building an enjoyable and mutually sharing environment, can be a wonderful, empowering experience.

No matter what the past teaches us, there is still an awful lot to learn and to anticipate. Developing and reviewing our coping skills, no matter how old we are, is important for keeping the relationship alive over a long time. Some of the key skills required in these situations include: building self-esteem, understanding and supporting your partner, communication, creating ground rules to avoid conflict, handling anger, a willingness to compromise and keeping the love fire burning. Taking action in your own self-education, while including your partner in the process, will allow you both to benefit from a successful relationship.

Some people come to the partnership believing that, as long as they do their ‘half’, their ‘bit’ or their ‘fair share’ all will be well. However, our perception of a genuine ‘half’ can be someone else’s idea of 10 per cent - a discrepancy which causes the most disagreement in relationships. There is no such thing as a successful long-term relationship where each partner gives only a personal interpretation of their half. The inevitable truth is that, after a while, the differing perceptions of sharing will result in cries of “Selfish!” or “Unfair.”

Fair Shares in Relationships

What is genuinely fair is usually decided between both parties in advance of living together, or soon after moving in with each other. True halves have to be negotiated to become the couple’s reality. Better to come to the union expecting to give 100 percent and find that much less is taken from you, than prepare to give 50 per cent, only to have it regarded as insufficient! If you know that your partner is contributing more than their perceived ‘fair share’, it’s easier for you to do the same too.

Everyone knows that improving a relationship is a disfficult task. However, genuinely identifying the problems will lead to their root causes which, if addressed in a caring way, should ultimately lead to solutions. The key in all this soul-searching has to be what people want in any relationship. What, exactly, do they hope to come out of it? One cannot have an improvement if one is not sure what is lacking or what could make things better. So, perhaps the best place to begin the search for improvement is with a series of surveys conducted by AboutMarriage.com. Their Marriage Qualities Survey Results collated 932 responses from their readers to identify the top ten essential qualities for a long-lasting marriage. The most popular selections, in descending order, were: honesty, love, communication, trust, respect, commitment, humour, support, compassion and being dependable.

I was surprised at the number one choice being honesty (selected by over 700 people). I thought love or respect would top the list. But, it seems most of us just want openness and transparency. We do not want lies or stonewalling. At least, with honesty, people know where they stand in any relationship. However, when asked about the qualities of a successful marriage, love shoots right to the top. It seems that there is a subtle distinction between having a long-lasting relationship and a successful one. Perhaps being long-lasting and unhappy is not regarded as successful. Either way, love and communication head the list of our needs in any relationship with others.

So how does one go about securing a successful relationship in the first place? This must be the primary question occupying many single minds. It obviously begins with finding the right person.
