If you’ve used Google Earth then you know what an amazing application it is especially for a golf course.

The tools inside Google Earth are as impressive as our big blue planet and for golf courses it is a valuable piece of software that gives players an insight into your golf course.
Below is a simple guide on how to map your course.
It is tricky and if you are a little technology challenged then be prepared for late nights and some head scratching!
To start, locate your course using Eye Spy Golf and click on the “Aerial Image” icon at the top right of the page. This will automatically fire up Google Earth and zoom you into your course.
Next zoom in to a position that you feel golfers would want to see of your course.

Adding Pins and Tees.

1. In “Add” on the top menu click on “Folder” and name your course. You can also add a description of your course in this dialogue box.
2. Now add another folder inside this one and label it “Hole 1″
3. Now comes the fun bit, Locate hole 1 by moving over course and add a Placemark (Small tack icon)
While this dialogue box is open move the tack to where the hole is on the course.
You can change the tack icon into a flag by clicking on the tack icon inside the dialogue box. Here you will find a few preset icons to choose, the golf pin is perfect! Add a description in the dialogue box . E.g. 450 yards - Par 3.
You have just marked your first hole!

4. Click on the course name which is the top folder you created and follow steps 2 - 4. The hardest bit is now adding all 18 holes!
5. To add Tees is very similar to adding holes. It is important you have clicked on the hole where you want your pin to be. It’s an easy mistake to start adding pins and realise they are all in the wrong folders. It’s not a problem, all you have to do is click on the placemark icon in your folder structure and drag it into the right folder.

Making amends to Pins or Tees is very easy. If you have made a mistake or you want to move a pin then just right click on the icon in folders and a pull out appears, scroll down to “Properties” if you are on a PC or “Add info” if you are using a Mac. You’ll notice your icon (Pin or Tee) will start flashing. KEEP THE DIALOGUE BOX OPEN and move your placemark to it’s new position.

Tip: To make your map look even better when you have finished move to Hole 1 in a view where a golfer would get most benefit and take a “snapshot view”. You do this by right clicking on “Hole 1″. If a golfer now clicks on your file and clicks Hole 1 folder then the snapshot view is saved at angle you predetermined.

Sony’s Latest Release - The PSP Camera

Although Sony only released its PSP (PlayStation Portable) in March of 2005, it has been updated with new accessories on almost a daily basis. The PSP is a small handheld device weighing just over half a pound, but packs the fullest punch for the audio-video enthusiast. Its capabilities include playing back music, movies, television shows, other saved or downloaded video clips, wireless Internet connection, and its primary purpose: video games in a portable system.

All this is available to users anytime of day or night and virtually anywhere. The most recent release accessory announced by Sony is the PSP camera. This comes as a joy to PSP users on the go all around the world looking to complete their micro entertainment center with the ability to not only view picture and videos, but actually take their own pictures and videos with their PSP.

The PSP camera was first announced at the E3 in Japan in March of 2006, where it also made its first public demo behind protective glass. The camera will don the name of Chotto Shot. Physically it is a small and seemingly basic camera lens about the size of the bottom half of your thumb that attaches to the top of the PSP system just above the screen. As if a camera attachment to the PSP would not be enough to complete this compact media center, the quick shot camera will also have a GPS attachment available. The camera is capable of delivering 1.3 megapixel image quality for the pictures as well as the video clips it captures.

Also included with the camera’s features is its digital zoom ability, allowing the user to bring the object of their photos closer than they can reach. A mono microphone will be included with this camera attachment to round out the extraordinary value of this extremely tiny little package. The microphone will capture the sounds to accompany video filming. And to protect your new addition, a protective carrying case is available. It’s incredible to think that in a handheld device as small as the PSP, you can have the ability to play countless games, connect to the Internet, view pictures, listen to music, watch movies and other videos, and now take pictures and movies.

The PSP camera and GPS attachment officially went on sale in Japan in December of 2006. The price tag was equivalent to a miniscule $50 U.S. for this incredible little bundle. As of March of 2007, Sony has not committed to a release date for the PSP camera in the United States. For this outstanding value, the release could not be soon enough.

With the constant upgrading of the PSP and the accessories available, Sony has truly created a portable handheld device capable of managing all things media. With the upcoming addition of the PSP camera to the line up of accessories, the capabilities extend as far as the galaxy reaches. The PSP system has taken entertainment, gaming, and media to a whole new world.

http://www.AllPSPInfo.com brings you the latest on PSP. PSPs are very popular, and we want to bring you the most up to date information online! Be sure to check out our latest information page on PSP camera.

Sports Card Forums and Sports Cards are great ways to gain knowledge of your favorite players and follow sports. At one time Sports Cards trading was reserved for children on their bus rides to school. Now adults and children of all ages collect and trade, some making a large amount of cash. Currently there are modern sports cards that can sell in the upwards of $100,000. Sports Cards no include things such as Game Used Sports Cards, Autographs of past legends, and Sports Cards redeemable for Sports Memorabilia.

The key to collecting Sports Cards is to find something and focus on it. This may be collecting a certain set such as Topps or possibly collecting a certain players cards. My suggestion is to find a player that won’t be incredibly expensive but will have cards in many sports card sets. A good example is Brandon Roy Sports Cards. Brandon Roy is a rookie in the NBA and will have a good amount of sports cards. He is also affordable because he is not considered to be the best rookie of this season. So you an average person can afford to collect Brandon Roy Sports Cards without going bankrupt.

Another key to collecting Sports Cards is keeping them in good condition. My suggestion is keeping any card that sales above $10 in a penny sleeve and sports card top loader. Any card over $100 should be kept in a more rigid sports card holder. I also keep all of my personal collection in penny sleeves to protect the sports cards from dust scratches as well as dings.

If you would like to collect sports cards I would like to suggest a site like http://www.sportscardfreaks.com which is a large sports card forum that allows people to trade and collect.

On behalf of The Food for Everyone Foundation I am pleased to announce the launch of a unique Teachers’ Virtual Gardening Training Program, that promises to empower teachers with real gardening skills and experience, along with teaching and demonstration materials, like nothing has ever done before.

The foundation’s generosity in giving almost $300 worth of unique gardening materials to qualifying teachers is simply fulfilling the foundation’s mission of “teaching the world to grow food one family at a time.”

We have been working for many years to make these materials readily available in a format that can be downloaded to computers anywhere in the world. I am excited at the program’s potential for helping young people get back to the basics of really knowing where their food comes from, and even growing their own food.

We are looking for teachers who teach - or who want to teach gardening - and particularly for those who would like to display and promote their class’s vegetable gardens on a website. This could be especially beneficial if the school supports the class and garden.

The foundation is prepared to donate the following digital books and training videos, created by world-renowned Dr. Jacob R. Mittleider, for qualifying teachers’ use:

* Six Steps to Successful Gardening - a graphically illustrated short book on the basics.

* Mittleider Gardening Course - created by BYU PhD’s in Educational Psychology - Excellent!

* Gardening By the Foot - Pictorial how-to on container gardening around the world.

* Lets Grow Tomatoes - The favorite of millions. Teaches you tomato growing start to finish.

* Mittleider Gardening Manuals (9) - On several of the most important gardening subjects.

* Grow-Bed Gardening - Hundreds of pictures show & teach growing in the natural soil.

* Soil-Bed Gardening Basics (23 videos) - 10 to 20 minutes each on dirt gardening, or

* Grow-Box Gardening Basics (21 videos) - covers everything needed for container growing.

These vegetable gardening books and videos are so GOOD the foundation is able to promise people ‘a great garden in any soil, in almost any climate’, and further promise that those following the true principles and procedures taught will typically increase their garden yields by a factor of 5 to 10 times! Specific information on each book is found at www.foodforeveryone.org/store

Only the Six Steps to Successful Gardening book is needed for a teacher to jump-start the gardening season right away, and the easiest way to develop a first year quick-start teaching plan is to follow the Six Steps book page by page.

The Mittleider Gardening Course is designed for the student who wants more in-depth information, or if the class needs or wants to grow in containers. The combination of the two, along with the other digital training material, provides for teaching students from Elementary all the way through College levels.

As classes start and begin to see results from their gardens they are requested to document their progress and success on their own website. The foundation will also give some direction and assistance in setting up a website to those who request it.

Agriculture-based and other teachers interested in teaching vegetable gardening using the foundation’s methods are encouraged to send an email to Steve@Foodforeveryone.org and put “Teachers’ Virtual Gardening Training Program” in the subject line.

Other interested gardeners are invited to learn sustainable, high-yield gardening principles and procedures FREE by visiting the Foundation’s website. A free ebook, free tips and techniques section, free greenhouse and watering system plans, and a free gardening group are provided, as well as a free chapter from each of the Mittleider vegetable gardening books.

Jim Kennard, President of Food For Everyone Foundation, has a wealth of teaching and gardening training and experience upon which to draw in helping the Foundation “Teach the world to grow food one family at a time.” Jim has been a Mittleider gardener for the past twenty nine years; he is a Master Mittleider Gardening Instructor, and has taught classes and worked one-on-one with Dr. Jacob Mittleider on several humanitarian gardening training projects in the USA and abroad. He has conducted projects in Armenia, America, Madagascar, and Turkey by himself. He assists gardeners all over the world from the http://www.foodforeveryone.org website FAQ pages and free Gardening Group, and grows a large demonstration garden at Utah’s Hogle Zoo in his spare time.

Gardening Books, CDs and Software are available at http://www.foodforeveryone.org

Herbal crohn’s teas can be an effective remedy, and can often be used in conjunction with vitamin supplements and the proper diet to further relieve and prevent gastrointestinal symptoms. Although herbs that are considered beneficial for crohn’s can be taken in forms other than tea (I.E. pills) herbal tea tends to be the best way to treat gastrointestinal issue.

Why? According to some studies, warm liquid is easy for the body to digest, and allows herbs to come in direct contact with the walls of the stomach and intestines. Conversely, herbal crohn’s supplements in pill form can be difficult to digest, and may contain alcohol which often results in most of the herb being absorbed in the mouth.

The following information is focused on the herbal teas that are considered the best for herbal crohn’s treatment.

Peppermint Tea
Peppermint is made up of the essential oil menthol. When ingested, menthol produces powerful antispasmodic effects that directly soothe the muscles in the digestive system, aiding in digestion. Furthermore, peppermint tea has a very calming aroma which can help relax nerves and subdue a nervous stomach. Peppermint tea can also alleviate stomach cramps and cramping of the intestinal muscles.

Peppermint tea helps alleviate the following crohn’s symptoms:
–Bloating
–Gas
–Flatulance
–Abdominal pain
–Irregular bowel movements

It is best to consume peppermint tea after large meals and before bed.

Chamomile Tea
Chamomile has been used for centuries in treating a variety of health ailments including common gastrointestinal issues, and is an ideal herbal crohn’s remedy. Chamomile is a mild sedative and has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and carminative properties that help aid in digestion and soothes and heals the mucous membrane of the digestive tract.
Chamomile tea alleviates and prevents the following crohn’s symptoms:
–Gas
–Flatulance
–Digestive discomfort
–stress

Chamomile acts as a mild sedative, and is therefore best taken before bed.
Note: Chamomile is part of the daisy family. Therefore, if you are allergic to daisies you should not drink this tea.

Fennel Tea
Fennel has a calming effect on the stomach and is one of the most effective herbal crohn’s remedies for relieving gas pain and reducing flatulence. Fennel tea aids the digestive tract, and is also recommended for use in conjunction with an herbal laxative to reduce cramps. In addition, fennel is known for its ability to boost the metabolism and works as a detoxifier.

Fennel tea is considered effective for relieving the following crohn’s symptoms:
–gas pain
–flatulence
–bloating
–stomach pain

Fennel tea is best taken after meals or when symptoms are present.

The following are five herbal crohn’s teas that aid in digestion which you can try:

1.-Peppermint tea - see above
2.-Chamomile tea - see above
3.-Fennel tea - see above
4.-Ginger tea - Relieves gas, bloating and pain. Ginger is exceptional at relieving nausea and vomiting. It does not have sedative properties, but it can make the body generate more heat and the warm feeling in the stomach may cause discomfort.
5.-Lemon balm tea - Relieves pain and discomfort of indigestion, as well as gas and bloating. Lemon balm is also effective in alleviating anxiety, nervousness and mild insomnia. Lemon balm is like mint in the sense that it has a soothing effect on the stomach.

Where can you find herbal teas and which are best? You can find herbal teas in your local grocery store, health food or nutrition stores and online. Although loose leaf tea is best, teabags are fine as long as you can clearly smell the distinct aroma of the herb through the bag.

In addition, make sure herbal teas are caffeine free as caffeine can irritate the gastrointestinal tract and trigger symptoms. You should also ensure that the herb is the only or primary ingredient listed in the tea.

Understand The Tennis Court In Order To Understand Tennis

So you have decided to take up tennis? Or maybe you are content to be a spectator but you would like to expand your knowledge of the game. There are a lot of variables to tennis, from the proper clothes to the equipment, from the rules to the players, but there are some constants in the game too.

At seventy-eight feet long from baseline to baseline, and twenty-seven feet wide - thirty-six feet for doubles matches - the size of the tennis court is one of those constants, and one can learn a lot about the game simply by understanding this field of play.

While the size of a tennis court never changes, the surface of the court can vary from location to location. There are three basic types of surfaces on which tennis is played, and each surface dictates a particular style of play.

Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, or shale, and are usually reddish orange in color, although they can be green as well. Clay courts are considered slow courts where balls tend to bounce higher and more slowly than on other surfaces. Consequently, points often last longer on clay courts as players tend to stay near the baseline - the line farthest from the net - and play defensively because it is so difficult to simply blast one by their opponent.

Clay courts are more prevalent in Europe and South America than they are in the United States. Of the professional Grand Slam tournaments only the French Open - or the Tournoi de Roland-Garros as it is officially known - is played on a clay surface.

The second kind of playing surface that one would find on a tennis court is grass. Rarely seen because of their high maintenance costs, grass courts are grown on firmly packed soil, much like a golf green. Of all the playing surfaces, grass presents the most variables to players.

Wear and tear, moisture, firmness of soil, and the length of time the grass has grown since being mowed all play a role in the playing characteristics of a grass court. Despite these variables, grass court players can usually expect the ball to bounce low forcing the players to get to the ball faster if they are to have a chance at a return; hence, grass courts are fast courts.

Successful grass court players typically play a serve and volley style of game where they quickly rush to the net after serving in hopes of forcing their opponent to hit a fast and perfect return; not easy on a fast, grass court. The most famous grass court is most certainly Centre Court at Wimbledon, home of The Championships, Wimbledon, a Grand Slam event and the oldest event in championship tennis.

Faster than clay courts yet slower than grass courts, hard courts are the most common type of tennis court. Constructed of cement or synthetic materials, hard courts vary in speed and bounce, but generally fall in the middle of the spectrum on both fronts. Hard courts are also the most conducive to all styles of play and, unlike grass or clay, they do not provide significant advantage or disadvantage to players with different styles.

Consequently, hard courts are often considered to provide the fairest test of all around skill. The United States Open and Australian Open are both played on hard courts, although the US Open uses an acrylic surface while the Australian Open utilizes a synthetic surface. Indoor courts are a variable of hard courts that are usually made of cement, wood, or even artificial turf. They typically have similar playing characteristics that are similar to other variations of hard courts.

Now that you understand the different surfaces that can be found in tennis you can use that knowledge to enhance your strategies on the court, or your appreciation for the game as a spectator. Either way, you must understand the tennis court in order to fully understand tennis.

As the music industry continues to change and new musical acts surface that are reflective of the styles of trend-setting youth, we have come to embrace bands of every variety. One such band reaching a recent pinnacle of popularity is My Chemical Romance, considered to be one of the most prolific alternative rock bands of its time.

Formed in the United States, the group assembled in New Jersey shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks of 2001. Inspired to write by the events of 9/11, Gerard Way put his feelings to paper and enlisted the help of drummer, Matt Pelissier in organizing a fledgling band. Recruited into the band shortly thereafter was lead guitar player, Ray Toro and bass player, Mikey Way - younger brother of Gerard. It was Mikey who named the band My Chemical Romance - derived from the title of a book that caught his attention.

After being signed by Eyeball Records, the band brought on its newest member - rhythm guitar player, Frank Lero in time to record their first album. The album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love was released in 2002 to a moderate reception. The next two years brought a series of changes for the band as they dropped their label to sign with Reprise Records.

They began a whirlwind tour following the release of their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004 - an album that quickly went platinum and prompted the release of popular singles, Helena and The Ghost of You - rocketing the band to popularity through the airwaves. Around this time, the original drummer, Matt Pelissier, was replaced by Bob Bryar, who continues to hold the position to this day.

The year 2005 was a year of touring as the band headed out on a Taste of Chaos tour - a compilation of alternative bands - and as the opening act for Green Day’s American Idiot tour. But by the end of the year, the group had toured throughout the United States in support of their own album. They kicked off 2006 by beginning to record their third album - Welcome to the Black Parade which was first aired on the radio on September 11th of that year and released in stores by the end of 2006.

My Chemical Romance fans are a dedicated group who carried the band to stardom amidst a grassroots movement, and remain dedicated to the band’s laidback alternative style and horror genre inspired music videos. Also adding to its popularity among fans, the band was also heralded for being among the first to offer free downloads of their songs through MySpace and other online resources.

My Chemical Romance continues to tour this year in support of their album with a legion of loyal fans behind them and packed arenas around the country. Since the band’s beginning they have stayed true to the music and their own personal style - and in so doing have attracted another generation of music lovers coming up in the world.

Greasy hair, cheap suits, slimy handshakes - these are the descriptions that come to mind when we mention “salesman.”

It’s the twenty first century, and times have changed. So should the public’s persona of salesmen. Don’t be frightened by recession and customer apathy. Being the best salesman you can be will allow you to enjoy the ever changing economy. How can you be the best?

First impressions are everything! We’ve heard this our entire life for a good reason. Your first meeting with a potential client can make or break your sale. How can you ensure a successful impression every time?

It is an old cliche so often missed in our modern society of jeans and t shirts, but in the sales world dressing for success cannot be stressed enough. Not only do people respect a person with a suit and tie (preferably classy ones!), but it makes us feel better as well. Endorphins released by our emotions impacts significantly our own persona. If we look successful, feel successful, we will be successful. Dress like a million bucks and you’ll make a million bucks!

Next we must work on our facial expressions. Practice a warm smile in the mirror. What is the definition of a warm smile? Friendly but not fake. Be natural but not overly personal.

Now it’s time for the ice breaker. This part of the equation is not only the hardest but also one of the most important.

Starting with a question triggers thought in your potential client. But avoid yes or no questions that often result in the end of a conversation. You’re fishing for a customer, use a line strong enough to pull them in not scare them away. Suggestions are “Are you more interested in this model or that model?” “Do you prefer these features or those features?” Comparing two items allows you to find out more about the interests and needs of your potential client.

You have them hooked, now its time to reel them in. Preparation and knowledge are impressive to all but friendliness and courtesy are the most important. Customers often assume that all salesmen are dishonest so make use of all opportunities to show your desire to be honest and upfront whether it is about special features, deals, or details of a sale.

Now you’re ready to close the sale. There are many philosophies as to how this should be done, but the keys are being confident and ready to sell your customer what they want. Too often we ask them to come back tomorrow when the paperwork is ready, or when the model arrives. Consumers usually know what they want when they come to us. We must be ready to fulfill their needs on their time table. It can’t be stressed enough to have the paperwork ready and be willing to close a sale instantly. Don’t be afraid to put the pen in their hand! At the same time we must balance this with not being pushy. The more experienced we become closing sales, the easier this will become and we find our own style.

Lastly, if you want to build your customer base, be sure to check back with your customer. Don’t be afraid of their concerns. A few minutes with previous clients can increase your future customer base significantly. Want a sure sale? Get a referral from a satisfied customer.

So we can be a slick salesman without being greasy! Just remember to sell with class and you will always be successful.

Since the beginnings of perfume in ancient Egypt, perfume has been the accessory of choice for women who wish to add another level to their appeal. Cleopatra and Nefertiti clearly understood the power of a beautiful scent; their frequent use of fragrance reflected a reverence by their society at large; perfume was used throughout the ancient cultures of Egypt before being adopted by Greek and Roman cultures.

Such ancient cultures used the oils infused with the scent of burnt wood, spices, and aromatics as a part of their bathing rituals and religious ceremonies; but its eventual popularity in Europe truly sparked the modern woman’s love affair with perfume. Since this time, women’s perfume has continued to grow in popularity as manufacturers keep pace by introducing new designer and brand name fragrances to the market every year.

Perfume initially came to Europe somewhere around the 12th century by way of the Arabs who brought scents as part of trade of the day; but its popularity peaked in the 18th century in the French court of Louis XV who delighted in fragrance so much that he demanded a different scent everyday.

The application of perfume at that time - to the body as well as to the home - was largely to cover body odor that stemmed from infrequent bathing. It is no wonder, with his frequent use of fragrance that Louis XV’s court came to be known as the le cour parfumme (the perfumed court). From that time, fragrance continued to gain popularity in France.

Queen Elizabeth I was one of the first women of the time to champion women’s perfume. The Queen demanded only pleasant scents and a variety of fragrances were designed to please her; women of the time followed suit, elevating perfume to a level of creativity in which people felt comfortable to experiment. The popularity of perfume continued to reign in France - even through The French revolution and beyond - as well as in Europe as a whole. Before long, chemical advancements were made in the world of perfume in which systems were implemented that are still in use today. To this day, France holds the title of largest manufacturer of perfume in the world.

In the United States, the advent of the department store can be held largely responsible for the popularity of perfume. The early 1920s saw an influx of popular fragrance to the marketplace. Most notably was the creation of Chanel No. 5 in 1921 - a classic fragrance that would go on to be the one of the most famous women’s perfume in the world. New scents were added to the shelves every year and were reflective of the women of each particular time period.

Today, women’s perfume comes in a variety of scents - and in beautiful bottles to match. While perfume of all prices and quality can be found in high-department stores, there are also a multitude of online stores where women can shop for their favorite fragrances at often more affordable prices. And in the name of convenience, your purchase will be shipped straight to your door.

Women’s perfume will undoubtedly continue to evolve over the years to keep pace with changing styles. But no matter which perfume you choose make sure that complements your personality and fosters your personal style.

Have you ever found yourself lacking the confidence needed to do your job successfully? You’re not alone! How can you develop more confidence not only in your career but in your life as well?

First off, find out what makes you a star. Gather a notebook and get to work! Make two columns. One column will be all of your best qualities. Don’t hold back, patronize yourself! You’re obviously smart; you’re reading a great article aren’t you? Yes, go ahead and include your eighth grade spelling bee win. This list isn’t just about qualities; it is also about your accomplishments. You may ask friends close to you what habits they appreciate about you and include these comments as well.

Please take a few moments to meditate on what you have written - these are all the reasons why you are a valuable employee.

Now, in the second column, honestly record some of the items you know that you could do better in. There is no shame in admitting these, we all have weaknesses. Some are worse than others. Admitting them is the first step toward fixing them.

At this point, meditate only on your column of good habits. This list is your personal cheerleader. When you feel that a task is too difficult to perform, feel free to pull out your list and reexamine why you are a valuable employee and a good person.

So you have a whole page of great qualities, but you still feel that you’re just not good at your job. What can make it better?

Fear is the unknown. Anytime we are in a situation that is uncommon, we are going to have a degree of fear. What is the best way to conquer such fear? Stare it straight in the eyes. How? The more we know about what to expect, the less fear we will have.

Research the goal or task troubling you. Find out how it can be accomplished, just as if you were preparing for battle. What qualities do those who have faced this task successfully had that you are lacking? Many times you will find that those less equipped than you have done a good job at the assignment in question. This fact will give you more confidence. Tackle your task with both guns blazing, and don’t look back.

With each accomplishment, take a moment to recognize what you have achieved. Even write them down in your notebook for future consideration.

We all have what it takes to be great, no matter what our background or lifestyle has been in the past. But in order to take advantage of our true abilities, we must let go of the culture of failure that is holding us back. Such culture can come from our upbringing, our co-workers, our friends, or simply through challenging circumstances that have faced us all.

Do not be content to follow the leader. Instead, use your mind to contemplate how and why rules work. Doing so will instill in you principles that you can carry with you through different jobs the rest of your life.

Finding your inner strength is the key to happiness and success. Now that you have your notebook of success, and a list of what you need keep working on, you can face the world with confidence that you are a proven winner!
