Be Honest About Your Product

I’m sure that you have gotten a lot of over hyped opportunities that have come your way. Some take one or two benefits about the product and make it sound like something really special. Other’s just outright lie about what the product will do. The only thing that is on these marketer’s minds is to make as many sales as possible, as fast as possible. Be very wary of sales copy that promises to make you thousands of dollars in a very short period of time. These are one-shot wonders that will never get repeat sales.

The worst thing that a marketer can do is to make claims about a product that are over exaggerated or untrue. Saying that a product does something that it doesn’t do or saying that a product will make a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time is committing online suicide in my opinion. How can anyone say that you will make “X” dollars in “X” amount of time. Without knowing the person and not knowing his or her level of marketing expertise there is no way that anyone can make such a claim.

Stay away from this type of marketing. You want to gain trust with your prospects. Lying or embellishing what your product does will not gain their trust. If you can make money in a short period of time you can say so. Just don’t put a timestamp on how long because everyone is different and that very fact will dictate how long it will take before he or she will make money. If you want to talk about how much money the product can make, tell your prospects how much money that you have made with the product rather than saying how much money that he or she will make. If your product takes time and work to see results, be sure to tell your prospects that. They will appreciate your honesty and will be more likely trust you and buy from you.

You should always sell products that you actually use because you will become an authority of the product and will be able to answer any questions that your prospects may have about your product.

Bottom line; be honest about your product. Tell your prospects what it does without making it a too good to be true thing. Most people have been online for quite some time now and will sniff out a scam very quickly. On the other hand, being honest is so rare that most will take notice of it.

Building And Bettering Your Team

There are few things in the world that can help a company become more successful than a team that works well together and conversely there is nothing that can ruin a business faster than one that doesn’t. Many companies suffer greatly if they cannot find a team that works well together naturally so a market has expanded that helps to create better relationships within a working team. Different team building companies offer different types of activities which will appeal to different people and different industries. The range of different activities makes sure that no matter what type of company you are from and what staff you have, there is a team building exercise that can help you.

There are some companies that provide very physical team building programs to help foster trust though necessity. Other companies create team building programmes that provide cultural programmes and more options to allow people to discover common interests outside the workplace and foster good relationships in that way. There has been no investigation of which one of these methods works better since different types of team building activities work best in different situations. For some people having to trust a colleague completely in order to accomplish their task might open their eyes ot the trustworthiness of that person.

Team building is something that more and more people are embracing as common business practice since more and more teams are lacking the ability to work in harmony. This is due to many factors including the increased stress that people face in the workplace and the reduced job security that everyone has to deal with on a daily basis. It is left to external forces, such as team building exercises to create the harmony that people are unable to create themselves. The range of team building events that a company provides will help to ensure that regardless of their customer’s needs they can provide something to help increase the internal cohesion within the company.

If you choose to partake in team building activities you can choose how much time you wish to spend on those activities. One thing to be aware of is that not everyone is going to agree on what activities are going to work best so there is a chance that you are going to have to compromise on what you decide to do. People who have physical problems may feel uncomfortable doing certain exercises so you need to take this into account as well when deciding which team building activities you plan. The planners must remember that the time is about helping people work better together so highlighting their differences might have the opposite effect to what you intended.

5 Steps to Building a Successful Team

There is a 5-step process that we have found to be very effective in building effective teams.

Before we start, it’s important to remember that teams exist for one reason: to achieve results! However, it’s also important to remember that teams must be sustainable in order to continue producing those results, so that’s why we look at the inter-relationships among the team members — to ensure that those relationships are working at the level needed for the team to continue producing results without getting burned out. Let’s look at this process of building a successful team so that your team can get to the next level and be not only effective, but sustainable, in achieving its desired results.

1. Measure the current effectiveness of your team

In order to help your team be more successful, it’s important to first look at how successful the team is currently. Measuring your team can serve as a benchmark for team development, as it gives you a current evaluation of your team as it exists today. The best way to do this is to measure your team’s effectiveness, which can be done in several different ways:

- Personal interviews: Asking each team member a specific set of questions designed to measure their effectiveness is a great way to learn about what’s really going on within your team. The disadvantage of this method is that some team members will not be forthcoming with information during face-to-face interviews because they are not anonymous. Results are best yielded when the interviews are done by an external facilitator who will maintain individual confidentiality.

- Simple measurement: A very simple method to use is to ask your team members “on a scale of 1 to 10, how effective is this team”? And see what their responses are so that you can ask some follow up questions to learn more about their perceptions.

- Assessment tool: In our opinion, this is the best method to measure the current state of your team because it is anonymous, unbiased and team members are generally very candid and open in their responses. The assessment results are then shared with your team in a specially-designed team development process that includes exercises to help the team improve in areas needed.

2. Create your vision of a highly successful team

This is where you can use the “begin with the end in mind” concept that Stephen Covey and others have used for years. This step is about using your imagination to create the most successful, productive, cohesive team that you desire! The vision of your team can include the following components:

- Team’s values, priorities and desired results

- Organization’s values, priorities and desired results for this team

- Your own values, priorities and desired results for this team

- Productivity factors: these are factors defined by Team Diagnostic International as the factors that support the team in achieving results, accomplishing tasks, staying on course to reach goals and objectives. They include strengths such as accountability, decision making, goal setting, etc.

- Positivity factors: these are factors defined by Team Diagnostic International as the factors that focus on the inter-relationships between team members and the spirit or tone of the team as a system. They include strengths such as trust, respect, clear communication, handling conflict, camaraderie, etc.

I encourage you to create your “desired team” vision with your team. Schedule a time to meet with them to allow for everyone to participate in this creative process! And, remember to think out of the box — what would it look like to have a team that was achieving results beyond what you think is possible today?

3. Communicate effectively

This is a huge topic that I will only be able to scratch the surface in this article! However, here are the most important tips to remember in my experience of working with teams:

- Everyone receives information differently. Some people have to see it, others have to hear it, etc. How do you like to receive information? Remember that just because one way works for you, that same way doesn’t work for all of your team members.

- Find out how each person needs to receive information in order to process it. Ask your team members “how do you like to receive information?” so that they can tell you whether they are visual learners, auditory learners, etc.

- Remember to communicate important information using several different methods so that all of your team members will receive the information you are trying to convey.

- Check in with your team regarding your communications and ask them how you can improve.

4. Develop a plan to turn your team vision into reality

Now that you’ve measure your team’s current effectiveness, you’ve created a vision of your desired team and you’ve determined how to best communicate with them, it’s time to create an action plan!

This step is about creating goals that support you in growing your team to the next level. We do complete workshops on effective goal setting and don’t have space here to go into all of the details, but here are the basics:

Remember to set goals that are

- Specific

- Measurable

- Attainable

- Realistic

- Time oriented (make sure each goal has a deadline!)

5. Take a stand for your team!

Whether you see yourself as “the leader” of your team or “a leader” of your team or “a member” of your team, you are in a position to influence your team. Take a stand for the improvement of your team! Here are a couple of ways that you can do that:

- Remind your team members of the vision you see for your team and what you see as being possible for your team. Remind them that it IS possible to grow to the next level! And, ask them what they need to grow to the next possible.

- Look for ways to build and develop your team. When was the last time your team had a meeting that was dedicated to enhancing your team’s relationships? When was the last time that your team went out to lunch together, or did another fun activity? If you aren’t familiar with the types of team development that be effective for your team, or if you don’t have the time or expertise to develop a program, call in an expert to help you create a program for your team.

Investing time, energy and financial resources in your team can be simple — it doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. The important thing is that you do something on a regular basis to keep your team motivated, engaged and productive so that they can produce the results that you and your organization desire!

Are you a business leader struggling to get the results you need from your team? Despite the many challenges facing organizations today, it IS possible to take your team to the next level and get the results that you and your organization desire! Want to learn how? Business Card Scanner What You Need To Know Before Making An Investment!

If you are one of the many who seems to spend a lot of time being given business cards during your working day and just do not have the time to start inputting the information into your contact manager on your computer and wonder what you should do with them (other than throw them into the trash). Well help is at hand. So instead of just letting them sit on your desk or in a drawer gathering dust why not get yourself a business card scanner. In fact many people put of setting up a database into which they can enter all the details on the business cards that they receive because it can be such a tedious task. However with the use of a business card scanner this task can be completed in minutes rather than hours.

A business card scanner is a small card scanner which allows you to quickly scan business cards and then converts them into text. Once converted into text you can decide whether you want them to be placed in your Outlook contact list or you can use the software that comes with them in order to organize your own database.

Certainly when they first appeared on the scene business card scanners were over priced and considered to be a frivolous piece of computer equipment so many companies would spend their money on more important things. However as you will soon discover the prices of these business card scanners have dropped dramatically and now becoming a very important part of everyday office equipment.

This type of business card scanner is particularly useful in both CRM and Sales orientated environments as no longer does it mean time is being wasted in searching for the information that is required with regards to a particular client. Once the information has been input into the database on a computer then others can easily gain access to it as long as they have access. This is particularly great for sales staffs who when away from the office are able to gain access to their list of clients just by opening up the database on their own Pocket PC, smart phone or Palm OS device as the software provided with a business card scanner allows for these devices to be synched to the database.

So if you are looking for an easier way to get all the information from all those business cards you have sat on your desk gathering dust then investing in a business card scanner may be a good way to go.

A business card scanner business cards scanner can save you a lot of time and effort. To get a review of one of the top business cards scanners on the market today go to http://card-scan-executive.com

Repossessed Cars For Sale - Local And Nationwide Resources

All of us want a great car, the type that runs like a top and looks like a million bucks. The problem is that most of us want those cars but we don’t want to have to spend a million just to look like a million. The good news is that there are plenty of opportunities to buy a great car at a discount, if you know where to look that is. I’m talking about repossessed cars for sale, and the market for them is always open.

Buying repossessed cars has turned into more of a science than an art form, and part of knowing that science is knowing where the repossessed cars are and how to get to them. Remember, we are no longer just dealing with a local market, although you can generally find some repossessed cars in your area. Now we are dealing with a nation wide market and if you aren’t looking outside your local area you are probably missing out on some great bargains.

Repossessed cars are cars that are taken back, or repossessed by the bank because of non-payment. Often the banks are willing to let the car go for the payoff price since they are in the money business, and not in the car selling business. This is not the same as government seized cars, which is something that we will discuss in a future article.

So once you have located where the repossessed cars for sale are located you will need to start finding a way to buy. Many times they are either put on a lot, perhaps at a local mall for example and sold as if they were at a used car dealership, but other times they are up for bid and go to the highest bidder. This can be done online as well as offline and if you are in the right place at the right time you can really land a beauty of a deal. So get started looking for those repossessed cars and save yourself a bundle.

Seized Vehicle Auctions and repossessed items on auctions are now listed on our website at http://www.carbuyingfacts.info/

How To Avoid Marrying A Jerk By John Van Epp

This is definitely one of the best books that I have read on dating the right person, and eliminating the wrong ones. Epp gives practical advice, don’t get too heavily involved too soon, look at their relationship with their family, wait for patterns to emerge, and know what their values, norms, and standards; are just a few of the ideas from this book. While the title may suggest that sometimes we all make mistakes, this book is a much more serious look on how we behave in relationships, and the power we have to stay or walk away from any given relationship.

Epp suggests that we don’t get too involved too soon. He does this on a couple of different levels. Suggesting that 3 months is far too soon to make any serious kind of decision when it comes to where to go in a relationship meaning marriage, moving in together, or any other life changing decision. Within three months both parties are still on good behavior and not showing their true self. Within a year you will see patterns emerge, and by the end of two years the tone has been set for the relationship, and you will know how you two work together.

Another aspect of the relationship and moving too fast was his breakdown of trust, intimacy, and commitment. He clearly states not too move to far into one of these three areas, and leave the other two behind. This creates a warped relationship, and this will leave to many problems. If relationships become too intimate too quickly this may leave one partner thinking they have a serious commitment of the other person, and they do not have a serious commitment at all.

Another one of my favorite chapters of the book has to deal with how someone treats others; this could mean the waitress, their mother, their best friend. When you read advice sites everyone says this, but no one explains why this works. People tend to behave in certain patterns. Arguments, happy moments, we all tend to behave in certain ways. For example perhaps someone needs to sulk a bit before they will engage in an argument, or perhaps name calling is the norm for them. The person involved will have tough moments with you, and he will behave at his best and his worst with you. You need to be able to handle this person’s worst moments.

This information is in just a few of the book’s chapters. As you can see the book is packed with advice that is practical. Many dating advice books are often a couple of trite sayings here and there, and thrown together in a book. John Van Epp far exceeds dating book expectations and gives a book that you can pick up and read many times, gaining a new perspective.

Taking Out Loans For Travel

If you want to go on holiday but cannot afford the large payment in one go, then you might want to think about taking out a loan for travel purposes. Many people never get to travel to the places they want because of a lack of current cash flow. However, more and more companies are offering loans specifically for travel and holidays. If you want to know more about these holiday loans, then here are some tips about taking out a loan for travel purposes.

What are the costs?

Travel loans are a form of personal unsecured loan, although you can also get secured travel loans in some circumstances. You can usually borrow between £1,000 and £25,000, depending on your circumstances and how much you need to borrow. The length of repayment is shorter than traditional unsecured loans, with typical terms being between 1 and 4 years. You pay back the loan monthly as you would any other loan. Interest rates are fairly competitive, and range between 7 and 10%.

Why use a travel loan?

There are many reasons why you might want to use a travel loan, even if you could afford the holiday with your savings. Many holidays require a large fee up-front in order to secure the booking, and this can be a strain on anyone’s finances. Getting a travel loan will allow you to pay for all the associated costs of the holiday whilst still having enough money to live right now. A travel loan can allow you to travel to the places you have always dreamed of going, but thought you would never go to because you couldn’t save enough money at once.

Travel benefits

Another advantage of some travel loans is that they come with added travel benefits. Some loans include items such as free travel insurance or possible discounts on some holidays, depending on which lender you use. If these offers can help reduce the cost of your holiday, then it might be worth checking out the loan.

Who provides travel loans?

Travel loans can be got through your normal bank, or through travel agents who have teamed up with lenders to offer travel loans. There are a variety of loans available, and it pays to shop around to find the one with the best features and rates to suit your needs.

Why not a normal loan?

Getting a travel loan is slightly different to getting a regular unsecured loan, but is it better? Well, that depends on your circumstances and how much you need to borrow. Travel loans are dedicated to travel and holidays, and will help you get a better deal on your holiday. However, they have short loan terms, so if you want a longer term then you might want to go for a normal unsecured loan. In general, if you can afford to pay back the travel loan in the shorter term, then it will save you money and help you get the holiday you always wanted.

The Capacity for Discernment - Linking The Spiritual And The Political

There is a need for souls today to understand how to apply principles of spiritual awareness to every aspect of life including political perceptions and choices and the observation of the political arena in general. In this way, what has been a compartmentalized spiritual life can remove itself from the more protected corner of our awareness, to inform all areas of choice and decision that we make, from the most lofty to the most mundane.

Within this view, to be a spiritual being is to treat consciousness as the precious gift that it is in all its manifestations and to become aware of the need to hold this gift responsibly when we are asked as members of a family, as partners in a relationship, or as citizens of a nation, to make decisions. To be responsible for our consciousness allows us to draw conclusions that are more aligned with truth and light in all areas of our life, including the public and political arena.

The need to hold choice in a sacred way as it applies to these spheres involves us in a need to understand ‘discernment’ - what it is, how to cultivate it, what interferes with it, and how to stabilize it as a process within ourselves. To do otherwise, especially in relation to those things that affect us as members of a community or nation, is to allow ourselves to be swayed by the prevailing public view of something - a view whose shape is often defined by fear rather than by wisdom.

Our choices in the public or political arena are often influenced by what media would have us believe about events, their causes, the merits of persons in public office, and the need for actions of different kinds. To become discerning involves not only being aware of the influence of media as it shapes, informs, and cultivates public awareness, but also includes the understanding of how energies of darkness can play a role in this shaping through the effect that they have on our emotions. These energies are more potent today because we are living at a time of expanding light and expanding consciousness, and their role and intent is to prevent such expansion. Discernment involves knowing when something that is affirmed as true is really true, and when something that creates fear in us, is actually worthy of fear.

Often, the basis for fear is the incorrect belief that something that is offered as the ‘only’ way to view things is actually the ‘only’ way. This profession becomes even more disturbing when the ‘only’ way has grave consequences for life or is reprehensible in some way. Discernment, when present, conveys to us that there is another way, and that what appears to be a necessity, is often not. The capacity to foreclose the sense of choice is one of the primary tools of darkness, and it causes many within the public sphere - both elected officials and the public in general - to reduce their capacity for more creative solutions to problems out of a perceived sense of threat. This sense of threat reduces the feeling of choice and gives rise to a perception of need for immediate action.

Discernment involves us in an interactive process that joins reason with intuition. It relies on our capacity to join with our higher intuition to arrive at a closer approximation of truth than is possible through information alone. Sometimes this intuitive knowing comes easily. At other times, it is necessary to immerse ourselves more deeply in the practice of alignment with light so that a sense of truth can emerge from a different level of our consciousness.

The capacity for aligning with light is central to our ability to discern truth. For if darkness or motivations that are more ego-based color our mental or emotional perceptions, we will not be able to discern truth, but will be held in bondage to the public opinion that prevails at a given time or to our own fears. The capacity for discernment is the bridge between our spiritual life and our life in the public arena, and the practice of alignment allows us to live with a sense of truth on both sides of this bridge. Such a practice allows us to release our smaller self and ego and to join with the higher aspects of ourselves. It increases our ability to hold light in the world and our ability to hold truth for the benefit of ourselves and others. As we seek to commit ourselves to a unified life, a life that is sacred in all its aspects, it is essential to anchor ourselves within a practice that supports our capacity to hold light and to remain anchored within the wholeness of our being. Out of this anchoring, discernment can emerge, as well as a broader ability to live life fully and completely from our sacred humanity.

Modern Jewelry Design

1950’s- The invention and explosion of the Atomic bomb influenced this period with designs of starbursts and sprays of diamonds. Jewelry was classified into day (gold with no adorning stones) and night (diamonds) wear. Florentine finishes, twisted rope, mesh, piercing, fluting, foxtail chain and braided wire became popular textures for gold jewelry. Cultured strings of pearls became fashionable for daywear and turquoise, coral and amethyst were the in vogue colors and gemstones for the period.

1960’s- Few restrictions in the groovy 60s brought a hybrid of gold, platinum, silver, natural gemstones and geode crystals. Faceted gems and round brilliant cut diamonds along with organic, abstract and jagged shapes dominated metalwork.

1970’s- In this feminist era, women saw fit to purchase their own jewelry and define their own style. New and different materials were used such as wood, ivory, rock crystal and coral were incorporated into jewelry design. The 50s austerity of diamond daywear and nightwear was abolished and diamonds again saw the light of day. Other prominent stones were onyx, lapis lazuli and coral and other non-precious materials. Theme bracelets or charm bracelets are introduced, with add-on attributes and purchased separately.

1980-1990’s- The affluent 80s brought a demand for sparkle, glamour and glitzy “Dynasty” and “Dallas” type of ornamentation. This was countered by the elegant Princess Diana’s marriage which saw refined taste and grace reemerging. Like most fashion of the 90s, jewelry design was produced in many retro forms, a collection of times past. Aquamarine, tanzanite, colored pearls and silver were incorporated into sophisticated or chunky styles. Many teenagers began wearing multiple earrings in both or either ears, and Punk Rock influence was seen with the advent of safety pins and other household items being used as jewelry. Body piercing came into vogue, drawing unknowingly to most wearers from African origin. Bangle bracelets of rubber were popularized by Madonna and other pop icons as the global fascination with fame and superstars began to trump obsession with royalty.

2000- present day- Hybridizing metals and non-precious materials became fashionable with new techniques and designers collaborating colored diamonds or pearls with rubber, stainless steel and even plastic. Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is employed along with synthetic gemstones for unique, new designs.

Traditional gold wedding bands have been replaced by the platinum wedding band as the ring of choice for matrimonial wear. Sea glass has become a popular material in jewelry design. Tough resins of adaptable, colorful and waterproof materials are increasingly used as technology makes them available. The anklet has become a popular choice for adornment and is seen everywhere around the world. Black pearls have become highly desirable in jewelry pieces and Kokichi Mikimoto is the leading designer and harvester of these gems. The rolex watch is also a status symbol for the rich and famous. Depression-Era Bakelite has come full circle and is enjoying a Renaissance in modern jewelry wear with polka dot or multicolored bangle bracelets and pins of butterscotch and pea green colors. These pieces, although recycled from days gone by are not cheap and the value of these items is increasing. Hip-hop culture has infiltrated jewelry design and wearers with ‘Bling-Bling’ style of large, elaborate diamond and gold jewelry and pendants as a statement of affluence and status. The entire human history of jewelry making is known, excavated and documented, nothing is taboo and styles are recovered and fashion trends follow, making modern jewelry wear the choice of the consumer.
