A Philadelphia Personal Injury Lawyer Talks About Philadelphia Wills

Have you ever thought that you might want to put together your own will? Here is a sample you can use.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
OF
THEODORE B. EDWARDS

I, Theodore B. Edwards, of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, declare this to be my Last Will and Testament and hereby revoke all prior wills and codicils.

FIRST

I give my entire estate, including but not limited to, any and all automobiles, furniture, furnishings, china, silverware, jewelry, ornaments, works of art, books, pictures, and wearing apparel, but excluding cash on hand, together with any insurance thereon, to my wife, Heather Edwards provided she survives me by ninety (90) days. If she fails to do so, all of my tangible personal property shall be divided equally among my children, as they may agree, or in the absence of agreement, or if any of them is a minor, as my Executor may think appropriate, in my Executor’s sole discretion; provided that articles which my Executor considers unsuitable for my minor beneficiaries may be sold and the proceeds thereof added to my residuary estate. My Executor may, without further responsibility, distribute property passing to a minor under this paragraph to the minor or to any person to hold for the minor. If none of the above beneficiaries survive me by ninety (90) days, this bequest shall lapse and be distributed as part of my residuary estate.

SECOND

I give the residue of my estate to my wife, Heather Edwards, provided that she survives me by ninety (90) days. If my wife, Heather Edwards, should fail to survive me by ninety (90) days, I give the residue of my estate to be divided equally among my children who survive my death by ninety (90) days. In the event none of the above beneficiaries survive me by ninety (90) days, the residue of my estate shall be distributed to Christopher Todd Edwards.

THIRD

No interest of any beneficiary under this Will or any Codicil hereto shall be subject to anticipation or voluntary or involuntary alienation.

FOURTH

I appoint Christopher Todd Edwards, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. In the event that he is unwilling or unable to act, I appoint Kristen Fisher as substitute Executor of this my Last Will and Testament.

FIFTH

My Executor shall not be required to file a bond in this or any other jurisdiction.

SIXTH

In the event that any person who is entitled to distribution of my estate shall not have reached the age of 18 years, then their respective shares shall be held in trust. I appoint Christopher Todd Edwards as Trustee. In the event that Christopher Todd Edwards shall at any time be or become unwilling or unable to serve as Trustee, I appoint Kary Fisher as Successor Trustee.

SEVENTH

The Trustee shall divide the Trust into as many equal shares as there are persons under the age of 18. Each share shall constitute and be administered and distributed by the Trustee as a separate Trust.

At the end of such year the Trustee shall accumulate and add to the principal of each beneficiary’s share of the Trust estate the balance, if any, of the said net income.

(2) When such beneficiary attains the age of 21 years, the Trustee shall thereafter pay to or apply for the benefit of such beneficiary all of the net income and principal in his or her share of the trust estate.

(3) If at any time in the discretion of the Trustee a beneficiary should be in need of funds for his or her proper care, support, maintenance, and education, the Trustee shall in his or her discretion, in addition to the payments hereinabove provided, pay to or apply for the benefit of such beneficiary amounts from the principal of his or her share of the trust estate, up to the whole thereof, as the Trustee may from time to time deem advisable.

(4) If any beneficiary for whom a share of the Trust Estate has been set aside should die prior to attaining the age of 21 years, upon the death of such beneficiary the Trustee shall distribute both the distributed and undistributed portions of each share and partial share in accordance with the residuary clause of this my Last Will and Testament.

The trouble with the way many of us are working today is that we are leaning more and more heavily on sorting information, organising e-mails, and cramming facts. And no matter how creative you were to begin with, if you focus on facts and details for long enough your creative side will slip into lullaby land.

More and more of us are losing touch with our intuitive side, our creativity and our ability to think “out of the box”. The problem? Many of us are only using half of our box! Read on and find out how to nurture the right side of your brain and get back with the bigger picture.

The Limited Majority
Research shows that around 60% of people in the developed world are dominant in left hemisphere style thinking. Thinking with the left side of your brain is excellent for fact gathering and analysing and for precision and analysis, it’s also great for organising information and situations, keeping records and developing plans. In short, your left brain loves order and details.

But the trouble with zooming in on the details is that you can miss out on the bigger picture. That’s the realm of your right brain and it facilitates wonderful abilities such as flexibility of thinking, intuitive problem solving, creative planning, considering values, spotting new possibilities and interacting sensitively and positively with others.

The trouble with the left brain ruling the roost is that it can lead to what appears to others to be arrogant, locked down thinking and poor understanding of other people’s concerns and feelings. Left brain dominance can lead to an arrogant streak or critical nature, it can cause impatience, resistance to change and can make you socially unpopular as left brain people have a tendency to fix on being always right, and are quick to point out faults in others. Does that sound like someone you want to hang around with? Me neither!

Three Fun Ways to Boost your Brain’s Right Hemisphere

- Use your non-dominant hand
if you’re right-handed try brushing your teeth with your left hand, or spending a few minutes a day writing with your left hand. It’s fascinating to see how awkward it is when you first write with your “wrong” hand. But after some practice you’ll see that your writing will start to look like your early attempts of writing at school. If you keep practising it will slowly improve and your control of the pencil and speed of writing will get better and better and so will your access to your right hemisphere.

- Try some brain boosting body moves
certain body moves are known to balance the brain. Juggling, walking while swinging opposite arms and legs, and marching on the spot all help to get the left and right side of the brain working together.

- Creative Planning
doodling rather than writing word lists or linear notes is a good way to engage your right brain. You can daydream, scribble and sketch your way through a problem solving session and find yourself stress free and super resourceful when you emerge from the other side.

Mind Mapping is another great way to work on paper with your whole brain. It’s fast, fun and encourages excellent radial thinking and recall with minimal effort.

Join the Whole Brained Elite
By practising whole brain thinking you are associated with a minority of genius thinkers - Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci are often referred to as whole brain thinkers, and it’s their natural inclination to think in an integrated manner that won them genius status. Nurture your right brain today and let your imagination fly…

Detoxification or detox for short is one of the liver’s most important functions. Your liver has to break down and safely eliminate everyday substances the body produces such as hormones and metabolic waste products as well the more obvious chemical toxins that you consume through our food and water.

It relies on two complicated phases involving enzyme reactions to break down toxins and render them safe for excretion via the bile in the form of feces or into the urine produced by the kidneys. Research has shown that specific foods and nutrients have an inhibiting effect or enhancing effect on these detoxification enzyme systems. Plenty of these foods should be used for the most effective liver detoxification diet. These same foods and nutrients can even be used to treat some common toxicity and immune system disorders.

There are two detox pathways known as Phase I and Phase II. Diet can help regulate and balance their activity for more effective and safe detoxification. For example if Phase I is working well but Phase II is slow the toxins processed by Phase I can build up causing damage while waiting to be dealt with by Phase II.

Many of these intermediate toxins may be more dangerous than the original substance and can have adverse effects on the glandular system, the immune system, and the nervous system causing health problems.

Some of the substances that cause increase in Phase I without the equivalent increase in Phase II are pesticides, cigarette smoke, exhaust and paint fumes, burnt or barbequed food, alcohol, intestinal toxins and certain medications.

Top foods to support liver detoxification:

1) Cruciferous vegetables: cabbage, Brussels sprouts, rutabaga (swede), broccoli, broccoli sprouts, mustard greens, turnips, radish, cauliflower, kohlrabi, collard greens, daikon.

They contain potent phytochemicals and antioxidants that support Phase II activity. They help the liver convert chemicals that could be cancer causing into something far less toxic that can safely be excreted. Broccoli sprout extracts inhibit Phase I but stimulate Phase II. This is beneficial for people exposed to a high level of toxins from paint fumes, cigarette smoke, pesticides and alcohol.

2) Sulfur foods: fish, meat, eggs, onions, garlic, turnips, radishes, celery, kale, string beans. These foods are beneficial for Phase II which uses sulphur for its sulfation pathway.

3) Fresh fruit and vegetables: Eating your 5 or preferably more portions a day helps supply the amino acid glutathione needed for Phase II. If you are exposed to a high level of toxins then eating glutathione rich foods is essential. Commercially prepared foods contain very little glutathione. Frozen vegetables seem to retain their glutathione content.

Especially rich in glutathione are cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, avocado, dill and caraway seeds. Fruit and vegetables are high in antioxidants which help protect the liver from free radical damage caused by toxins. Organically grown are best.

Grapefruit and its juice is an exception. It contains a substance, naringenin, which if regularly consumed inhibits Phase I detoxification. Drugs and toxins can stay in the body longer before detoxification causing damage. So if you are taking drugs or are exposed to a high level of toxins do not eat grapefruit or drink the juice.

4) High quality protein: Meat, fish and eggs supply the amino acids needed for the conjugation pathways of Phase II. It is important to eat organically produced or free range meat and eggs to avoid further toxins stored in the fats of intensively reared produce. Fish is best from deep clean waters or organically farmed.

5) Essential fatty acids: Many diets are sadly lacking in the beneficial fats that are
vital for Phase I detox. Avoid all hydrogenated fats found in many commercially produced and processed foods and meals, and heated fats which can damage them.

Eat fresh nuts and seeds and their unheated cold pressed oils. Oily fish may be contaminated with mercury and other pollutants so it is debatable if they should now be included.

No matter how good your diet or how clean your environment you will always be exposed to toxins. Strengthening detoxification pathways through specific foods mentioned above will help you stay well or can improve existing conditions. Its worth it!

Nelson Rangell “Look Again” Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

Very talented Smooth Jazz artist Nelson Rangell has released his latest CD titled Look Again and Wow! It’s good.

The CD launches with an outstanding track, Look Again, that I suspect will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It really is a very nice track.

Look Again has a pleasantly varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are his own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

Overall Look Again is a solid release. Quite possibly Nelson Rangell’s best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you’re even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you’ll enjoy this album.

Use of the flash in a camera can be perplexing to novice photographers. Many are not aware of the limits to the area its light can reach. This means that up to a certain distance the flash will be useful; beyond that, having the flash on won’t do any good.

Parents taking shots of their children 50 feet from the stage in a dark school auditorium are a case in point. They find out later that they’ve gotten pictures of the heads of the audience in front, with the kids hardly visible in the background.

This happens because the subject is too far from the photographer’s camera. Light from the flash isn’t strong enough to reach the distance. The flash illuminates only the area it can, and that’s what the camera captures.

Digital cameras generally have more limited flash ranges than either a point and shoot or a digital single lens reflex (DSLR). Of the three, the more powerful and costly DSLR has the longest flash range, but it, too, has its limits.

In most point and shoot cameras, the built-in flash is capable of illuminating a space of from five up to 10 feet away. Higher-end models might manage 15 or 20 feet, but they are not that common.

DSLR cameras may come with a built-in flash that can light up objects as distant as 30 feet or more. However, that depends on the camera’s quality, the flash and on what the camera settings allow. When in the default automatic mode, most built-in DSLR flashes reach only between 10 and 15 feet.

If you’re part of the audience in a concert or a school performance, chances are you’re seated too far away for your camera’s flash to be of any use. Moving closer, to within your camera’s flash range, will help. So will changing a few settings, if your camera allows it. Your camera has its own set of features that may be different from other models, so you might have to read the manual to find out what can be done to make it work optimally for your specific need. In this case you want the flash to illuminate as far as it can.

In many instances, simply putting the camera on a tripod then turning the flash off may be the best course of action you can take. Rather than lighting up heads in front of you with a flash, the camera will make adjustments for the dark area it will shoot if it is set on automatic mode. Look up the manual if you don’t know how to turn off the camera’s flash. Most cameras keep theirs turned on when in the automatic picture mode.

You name it, from how to build a website, how to writing articles for website content, search engine optimization, email list building, affiliate marketing, creating my own product to marketing the product.
