Affiliates - Creating Content And Maximizing Eficiency

We all know deep down inside that content drives the internet. Without it, our sites will have no leg to stand on and fail miserably. So it’s reasonable to assume that we definitely need content when we’re affiliates trying to make money. Yet there are only limited ways of doing this.

Here are roughly 5 ways to do this:

1. Write it yourself

2. Hire or outsource it

3. Scrape the content

4. Use PLR

5. RSS

Before I explain what to write, let me introduce you to one strategy that works really well. Instead of going after the hard to get rankings with the top keywords, you should go for the low hanging fruits.

Say what?

What this means is that you should go after keywords that aren’t heavily competed for just yet, and instead focus on the ones that are easier to dominate. The ones with less competition are always the winners when it comes to this strategy. For example, don’t write about “online business” go writing for the keyword “online business consultation in Boston”. You might be getting a lot less traffic with these but look on the positive side. You will most likely get ranked in Google a lot faster as well as the other search engines. Plus, by doing this, you will no doubt get better quality traffic opposed to those more generic keyword terms.

Alright now for the different ways that you are going to build content with the methods I listed.

1. Write it yourself

This one isn’t necessarily bad and it’s how most people start off. The disadvantage is that you’ll probably have to sit on your chair for hours every day trying to pump out as many of these as possible. Not the most pleasant experience at all.

2. Hire or outsource it

This is a good strategy and what most people do. The problem is going to be the quality of the articles and you’ll need to watch out for who it is that you’re hiring. There’s been plenty of horror stories so make sure you’re at least prepared for the worst. Usually there’s a review of the writer on places like Elance so you can get a glimpse of the work that they do. It’s also recommended that you hire somebody who speaks the targeted languange that you’re going after.

3. Scraped content

This one is not recommended because it falls under the blackhat category. What this is, is taking content from other sites and using it as your own. Things have gone to the extremes lately with this one and the search engines have retaliated with much stronger filters than before. Also because of this, sites using scraped content don’t really have the longevity of other sites. Usually banned within the first three months.

4. Use PLR

Private label rights are probably the best way to go when starting out. Second only to outsourcing because of the costs if you don’t have the money for it. PLR means that you have the rights to the content (the content is in your name) and you can do whatever you wish with.

They are usually very easy to re-write and can be done by just about anybody.

5. RSS feeds

This use to be popular and it still is. Basically the content is created by others and gets re-used by you. This is different than scraping since you actually have permission from the others to use it. Disadvantage is that others are using them as well, so they aren’t really unique. Also, the search engines won’t ban you but having a site “just” with RSS isn’t going to get you anywhere.

So my top picks are to write it yourself if you have the time and energy to do so. Hiring out if you have the money and PLR if you lack both.

Adwords - Applying It To Your Offline Business

People often think that Adwords can only be used to help your internet business. That is NOT true. It can be a good use for your offline businesses as well! The first thing you need to do is to have a website for your brick and motar business, if you don’t have one already. Usually the design doesn’t matter that much, but you want something that stands out to give your business a more professional look. Make sure the words that you write aren’t just professional but are able to convert. Your business info such as the address should be very close to the homepage for people to easily find it. Also you probably want something to capture prospects, and a mailing list will actually do. If you could, a contact information page is a better option.

For the actually Adwords part you’ll want to use the Geo-targeting feature. This means that Google will pay attention to your ads and given the location that you input, will only publish those ads to that specific demography. They will ignore the rest, so it will actually help you target the people in your local area. This is an excellent way to get you a good ROI and steer you in the right direction. Furthermore, you should also look into using the keywords out there that are related to your area. This helps to make people realize that you’re right around the corner before they even enter your site.

One aspect you want to take into consideration is that people want to buy things online. They have this instant gratification mindset and have an attention span of a flea most of the time. So make sure your page is sticky. Then if possible, try to create a method for distributing your goods online where most people can order and have it shipped right to their door.

In order to make sure your product converts make sure that the instructions for ordering is crystal clear. Also, make sure your product isn’t too expensive that people are really thinking hard on whether to make the decision to purchase. Low to medium costs often works best.

Marketing online with Google Adwords is just one solution. There are others ways to do this and may not even require as many hours or capital to keep up. One legit way of doing it is to create a website and just use SEO or capitalize on your natural search engine traffic. It may take some work but if you hire other to do this, it may give you some more time to work on other areas.

Vitamins For Headache Prevention

Studies show the link between an increased risk to getting chronic headaches when you are deficient in certain vitamins and minerals. If you eat a balanced health diet, then you would find that this can hardly be the case. As it is, most of us do not eat well for a variety of reasons. You should therefore up your intake of vitamins for headache prevention. I suggest that you try the following take supplements; especially of B2 (Riboflavin), B6 (Pyridoxine), Calcium and Magnesium.

In fact, many already know about the benefits about Magnesium. Studies have shown that if you suffer from migraines you probably do not have enough of this mineral in your brain. This headache pain treatment product is required for the proper performance of serotonin. Magnesium also affects your arteries. When your body is low in this headache pain treatment product your arteries will constrict more. So, upping your intake of this headache pain treatment product is a good idea. You can do this by eating more dark green leafy vegetables, whole grains, seafood, beans and nuts. However, do take a note in what you eating because some of these foods, like nuts, can also trigger headaches. For this reason, you may wish to consider Magnesium supplements instead.

Calcium is another mineral that can be found in dark green leafy vegetables. Other sources of calcium are found in dairy products and seafood. If you are taking Magnesium supplements and decide to take Calcium supplements too then you should know that you cannot take them at the same time of the day because Calcium can block the body’s ability to properly absorb Magnesium. Therefore you should take take them at different times of the day; say one in the morning and the other in the evening.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and Vitamin B6 have been proven headache pain relief products that will reduce the number of migraines you will have. While you may prefer to take a B complex supplement, please note that the other B vitamins are not proven headache pain treatment products. However, you may still wish to take the other B vitamins as they are known to reduce the risk of strokes.

You can always check with your doctor about consuming the above mentioned vitamins for headache prevention. Also, try to ensure that you eat healthily so that you get natural sources of these vitamins. Taking these vitamins for headache care and prevention is far better than popping in headache drug medications!

Overconsumption of drugs for headache relief can result in rebound headaches and worsening migraines. Get free information on various headache natural remedies here on this site at http://www.headacheremedysecrets.com

Has Your Diet Stalled?

Start with a new exercise program and invest in a daily workout. This may motivate you to make dietary changes. Instead of planning to exercise three days a week- make more ambitious exercise goals. Plan to exercise every day even if you know you will not make it. Get an iPod or MP3 player to make your workout fun.

Keep your diet simple. Too much variety can stimulate your appetite and you may be more likely to over eat. Prepare dinners at home instead of eating out. Keep an accurate journal to analyze what you are eating, when you are eating and why. Most dieters often under estimate the calories they are consuming. Writing it down helps you stay committed and accountable.

When eating out, order first so you are not influenced by what others are getting. Stick to healthier choices like salads or grilled fish or chicken. Limit your exposure to high fat food by not bringing them into your house. If you enjoy chocolate, do not just avoid it, because avoidance can lead to cravings and result in binging. Eat other things that are lower in calories and fat but comparable in taste.

If you do overindulge do not beat yourself up but do not slough it off either. Once you determine why it happened, come up with an alternative plan so that next time you will handle the situation better. Daily weighing is a winning weight loss strategy. It is important to know where you are and when you are going up or down.

To control calories have three meals a day and skip snacks. Sometimes even the sight of food can stimulate your appetite. A good support system is helpful in making better diet and exercise decisions. Many people who use weekly meetings with counselors or through internet based programs regain less weight than participants who do not use either. Develop a ritual to help you relax at night so you get a good night’s sleep. To lose or maintain weight there is an ideal sleep zone of about eight hours a night.

Things To Consider If You Are Thinking Of Retiring Abroad

More than 1.3 million British people have chosen to spend their retirement abroad. Why? Well, many are simply pursuing a life long dream. Others are moving to benefit from an improved climate, away from the British winter chill. Some are heading to a place where their pension will stretch further, or where their lifestyle will be much improved. Social factors, crime statistics, rising costs and general disillusionment with “life in Britain” are commonly cited as reasons why retirees look overseas. Many opt for the popular destinations of Spain, France, Portugal and Florida, while others look at the Caribbean or even further afield. Indeed, surveys suggest that an amazing 75 per cent of people in the UK dream of retiring to a place in the sun.

Moving abroad is a big decision and one that stirs up a complex mix of emotions. There will be plenty of excitement, but also some anxiety too. The immediate fears that people have include being far from their family and loved-ones; having to make new friends and dealing with a new language and culture. However, bare in mind that many retirees find a whole new social world opens up to them abroad. Learning a new language can be a challenge, but even investing a small amount of effort will pay dividends. Your family and all those friends you are worried about missing may still be back home, but wait until you have moved into your new home. You will be amazed at how many reasons they will find to spend a couple of weeks with you. Just make sure the spare bed is made!

Health care is often a worry too, but English-speaking doctors are available in many places, and health services in many countries are now on a par with the UK, if not better.

The process of finding and buying a property in an unfamiliar country is also bound to cause concern. Set about buying a home in the sun the wrong way and you might lose your shirt. As with any major financial decision, take expert advice, keep a cool head, and do plenty of research. Hundreds of thousands of people have made the move abroad without mishap - there is no reason why you can’t too.

Digital Pen Pals

VIRTUAL SCHOOL COMMUNITIES

Digital Pen Pals

Many people never forget writing pen pal letters when they were young.
Some people even become life-long friends with pen pals they first wrote to
in elementary school.

Today, as communicating with people on the other side of the world is as simple
as a click of a mouse, the art of writing pen pal letters should not become a lost
teaching tool. On the contrary, today’s technology can only enhance and improve the
pen pal experience for your students.

Here are some tips to help you give your students an enriched pen pal experience:

1) Alternate between handwritten letters and emails.

2) Allow students to communicate with pen pals via instant messaging.

3) Have student create audio and/or video clips for their pen pals.

4) Have video conferences with your pen pal class.

5) Create projects that students and their pen pals can work on together
via the internet.

6) Encourage your students to continue to write to their pen pals over the summer and in future years even when the leave your class.

Using technology to write pen pals in the 21st century will help teach our students
how to better work within the global community around them. My class has been writing letters, emailing, and talking to many different classes from around the world. They are fascinated with the similarities and difference between them and their pen pals on the other side of the world. To get started visit People to People international at http://www.ptpi.org and get matched up with another class from almost anywhere in the world.

Work at Home Options

Are you considering working from home? If you are the first questions you should ask yourself are how much are you wanting to earn? and how hard are you willing to work? Each method works in different ways and thus each has a different earnings potential. If you are just looking for a bit of part time work for a little extra income or perhaps a mum with a bit of spare time whilst their child is at nursery then I would strongly recommend paid surveys. Paid surveys are never going to earn you enough money to live off on their own, but they are quick and easy to complete, taking as little as ten minutes, so are ideal. They aren’t time consuming or strenuous. You still have to be careful which sites you use as there are many sites which are just scams but I would also recommend against “free” survey lists as these sites just tend to sell on your personal information and the ones that do work take a cut from each survey you do.

Drop shipping is probably the riskiest method of working from home. This involves you buying products in bulk and selling them for profit on sites such as eBay or amazon. You never have to store the products as the wholesalers deliver directly to your buyer but this is where the risks come in. Many of the wholesalers will take your money but never send any goods. Another problem is finding products that both sell and make you profits but if you can find these products and a list of reliable wholesalers then drop shipping can be very lucrative.

If you are wanting to make serious money however and aren’t scared off a little hard work then the only option has to be affiliate marketing. There is no limit to the money making potential of affiliate marketing the more hard work you put in the more money you will earn, simple as that. Beware of scams or products which are just there to mislead you and send you in the wrong direction. If you do this you should be able to fulfill your dream of telling your boss where to stick is job and work from home on a full time basis. Just one more thing and that is don’t even think of joining a data entry scheme as they are a complete scam. I have joined many over the years non of which have ever earned me a penny. Good luck in whichever path you choose to take.

Self Improvement - A Word Of Caution

Self help. Self improvement. Personal development.

We’ve all heard these words before. Maybe some of you have used self improvement ideas and self help books to try and improve your life.

But the truth is that succeeding in your own personal development is more a matter of perseverance than finding a ’secret key’ that will unlock the door to your happiness.

Undoubtedly, perseverance is the vehicle which will carry you, however your sense of direction needs to be very focused on your overall goal. And this is where self help books and personal development systems are useful. They can provide a road map for your perseverance to transport you along to your destination. Think of them like a satellite navigation system for your goals and dreams.

I have bought or downloaded several hundred self help books over the last few years. My motivation and perseverance have not waned. But my bank baladce certainly has. I have spent thousands of dollars in my pursuit of self improvement. But in hindsight I could have spent a couple of hundred to help me get where I am today. The rest of the money was wasted on self improvement products that simply did not deliver.

Be careful where your desire for self improvement leads you. Temptation to take a chance on the latest self improvement ideas and systems is always strong, but caution is recommended.

Keep a tight hold of your credit cards and find out all you can about a product before handing over those numbers.

Quit Smoking Tip - Your Smoker’s Personality Might Be A Problem

This interesting tidbit came across the wire the other day. You might find it amusing, you might find it interesting or you might find it downright insulting. You might even find that it’s the reason you have been unable to quit smoking.

According to recent studies into the behavior of smokers, it has been suggested that smokers have more anti-social characteristics than do non-smokers. So what does this mean?

Anti-social behavior, also referred to as anti-social personality disorder, is identified as acting contrary to what is accepted behavior among the masses. Anti-social behavior usually involves ignoring the rights of others and being selfish.

Other signs of anti-social behavior include: breaking laws, risk-taking, not considering the results of their behavior, being impulsive, ignoring the safety of self or others, and not worrying about hurting other people.

If you think about the actions of smokers, it’s fairly easy to see where this ‘diagnosis’ fits. This research could explain the earlier resistance that smokers showed towards new non-smoking bans. They felt their rights were being violated and continued to light up regardless of the law. Those who still reject such laws might well be experiencing anti-social behavior.

You’re probably asking, where’s the proof that smokers are anti-social?

Although small, one test was done on 346 smokers by the University of Victoria in British Columbia. It produced some interesting results. They learned that 28.8% of smokers demonstrated higher neurotic characteristics and were more likely to have symptoms of alcoholism or drinking-related problems.

They also were younger, of a lower income, and had anti-social behaviors. The interpretation is that a portion of smokers are more anxious than other smokers and have strong anti-social tendencies.

And earlier large-scale studies conducted by another group produced other interesting data. They revealed that people who smoked were either extroverted or anxious.

This second test was done among adult American males who had never smoked, who had been light smokers, those who had been heavy smokers, and those who were current heavy smokers.

The results showed that the current heavy smokers were significantly higher on the neurotic or anxiety scale than non-smokers.

So what can we derive from this?

If you want a quit smoking tip, consider that perhaps the difficulty lies in your personality rather than in any addiction.

Anxious people will certainly be more likely to reach for anything to calm them, which can be alcohol, smoking or even extreme sports. And people showing anti-social behavior will have little consideration for those around them.

This quit smoking tip suggests that you need to overcome your smoker’s personality first. Resolve your anxiety issues, and your efforts to quit smoking will be more successful.

This will require doing an intensive and honest review of your personality to determine whether you exhibit any of the traits revealed in these studies.

You’ll likely resist such scrutiny if you have anti-social behavior and believe in your right to smoke. However, if you can modify this believe and view it from a non-smoker’s standpoint, you will likely find it much easier to quit smoking. If, in fact, that’s what you want to do.
