Using Poems to Express Your Love

Romance and poems just go together. If you are looking for some inspiration in this regard, here are some sources for poems that never fail to do the trick.

If you are looking for the perfect way to express your love in writing, a romantic poem is often the answer. You can write verses yourself or dedicate a famous poem to your sweetheart. With dozens of legendary love poems, and an infinite number of verses you could pen yourself, you will never run out of options to make a lasting impression.

If you lack time or creative ability, dedicating a famous poem to your loved one can be the perfect romantic expression. There are hundreds to choose from and you are sure to find one that truthfully depicts your thoughts and feeling. I Carry Your Heart, a touching poem by ee Cummings is sure to pull at the heartstrings of someone in love. William Shakespeare’s Shall I Compare Thee to a Summers Day is a captivating and heartfelt elegy perfect for those in love. Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s How Do I Love Thee is yet an additional poignant piece of writing, ideal for giving at any occasion. Among other celebrated poets include Robert Browning and Robert Frost. Poems can often be interpreted many ways. Some poems have been written about the beauty of the ocean or of a flower, but they are equally appropriate to discuss the beauty of your partner.

Nothing says “I love you” like a unique and custom-made poem written just for your special someone. The most important thing to remember is that not all poems rhyme. It is not necessary to center so much on the perfect word to rhyme the last, but to focus on what words describe your truthful feelings and flow with the feel of the poem. If you can’t find the right word, try using a thesaurus to find a more meaningful remark. Poetry is an art form with no real rules. You can express your love in any type of poetic form that fits your relationship.

Do you remember the first time you saw your love’s face? Describe in evocative words the way you felt. Talk about the way you still feel, each and every time you see him or her. Reminiscing about some of your favorite times together is a wonderful way to compose the body of your poem. Describing exactly the way you feel about your special someone is always a great and effective way to jot down a poem. Giving your love an insight into your emotional mind and all the things you love about him is a great way to finish off your poem.

In the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones’ commitment to save his dying father is to find the Holy Grail. To do so, requires a leap of faith both literally and figuratively. He steps onto a chasm where a thousand foot drop separates him from the other side. This step is a leap of faith because there is no bridge until his foot finds an invisible path unseen by the human eye.

Indiana’s commitment demanded a leap of faith. With a book in his hand, he reads the cryptic notes and steps off the ledge to his death or the possible saving of his dying father. Commitment requires a continual leap of faith even when the impossible seems impossible.

Today, thousands have viewed the video The Secret. This highly engaging video does not share anything new. To achieve success requires a commitment to that success. Unfortunately, most people give up when they are so close to the finish line to achieve the impossible dream because their commitment lacks that leap of faith.

  • How many times have you reached for something, felt it so close and then gave up?
  • How many times have you thought what if but talked yourself out of going forward?
  • How many times have you decided to change your life, but you are still where you were?

Everyone desires success to achieve the impossible dream, but few people actually achieve it. Part of this is because of their level of commitment. Athletes demonstrate commitment every time they rise before sunshine to run 5 miles or push themselves beyond their last achievement. Their results simply show that commitment can be developed.

So if you want more success, to achieve that impossible dream, check out your commitment level and ask yourself are you committed to making a leap of faith to achieve what is important to you?

Weight training improves your muscular strength. With improved muscle strength you will be able to work longer without getting tired. Weight training also improves your appearance and helps to fight age-related muscle loss. It is not as complicated as you might think, and it does not take as much time as you would think.

When I use to think of weight training, I had visions of long hard work-outs, lifting heavy weights what seemed like 1,000’s of times. I could see the sweat dripping from weight lifters faces and their entire bodies looked wet with sweat. It was not something I was real enthused about doing for myself. Now that I have learned some of facts about weight training, I will be starting a program soon. You can build muscle with only one set of repetitions!

What is weight training? Weight training is a type of strength training that uses weights for resistance. Weight training challenges your muscles by forcing them to adapt to the stress of the weights.

Research continues to show that a single set of 12 repetitions with the proper weight can build muscle just as efficiently as three sets of the same exercise. Good news for those of us who do not want to spend hours in the fitness center working out with weights! I will probably soon see if this actually the case for myself, but I am one who would never spend hours lifting weights. I see the young guys in the fitness center that look like they do a lot of “just hanging out,” there when I arrive for a 60 minute walk. They are there when I arrive, and there when I leave. For some, the theory that it takes countless sets of repetitions to build muscle still prevails. And this might be also true for those who want to build muscles big enough to compete in the wrestling rings or something else. For those of us who only want a little extra strength while pushing the vacuum cleaner and routine chores around the house, one set of 12 repetitions should suffice.

You will need to use a weight heavy enough tire your muscles. You will know the weight is heavy enough when you are just barely able to finish the 12th repetition. In just 20 to 30 minutes, you should be able to complete a series of weight training exercises for your arms, shoulders, abdomen, chest back and legs.

If you have never lifted weights before you might find you are only able to lift a few pounds. Your muscles, tendons and ligaments need to get used to weight training exercises. Once this happens you will be surprised at how quickly you progress. After you are able to do 12 repetitions with a particular weight, increase the weight by up to 10 percent at a time.

Your muscles will need time to recover. A rest of one full day between exercising each specific muscle group is recommended. A good plan might be to work the major muscle groups at a single session two or three times a week. If you decide to lift weights every day, exercise specific muscle groups each day. On Monday you could work your arms and shoulders, then on Tuesday work your legs, and so on until you have finished all major muscle groups, then start all over again.

Most people find short sessions two or three times per week are more practical than extended daily workouts. Just 20 to 30 minutes two to three times a week should allow you to see significant improvement.

As you age if you do not do anything to replace muscle loss, it will turn to fat. Weight training can help you reverse this trend at any age. Weight training and other types of strength training can improve the quality of your life giving you the ability to complete daily tasks for adults even in their 80s and 90s.

As muscle mass increases, you maintain joint flexibility, increase bone density and better manage your weight. The results of weight training may also improve your mental health and reduce the risk of depression. These are all good reasons to include sessions of weight training into your total fitness program.

Trampoline History - Ingenuity at Its Best

Have you ever wondered how the trampoline ever came to be? Such a simple piece of equipment that doesn’t have a lot of moving parts. There are several theories as to how the trampoline was invented. The purpose of this article is to provide you with some insight as to how the trampoline came about and some of the accomplishments made because of it.

Walrus Skins

The idea of having fun by being bounced into the air was created by the Inuit People of Alaska. They used a piece of walrus skin to be held by several people in much the same way as firemen would hold blankets or a sheet to catch people jumping from buildings. This was thought to be the first form of trampolining.

Bouncing Bed

There has been some evidence of people from England in the beginning of the 20th century that used blankets to toss people into the air. This could have been trampolining in it’s infancy. It has also been said that some circus acts used a “bouncing bed”. It was said to be a small trampoline covered with bedclothes to which was used to amuse audiences during their acrobatic comedy routines.

Circus

A circus artist by the name of Du Trampolin was said to have developed the first trampoline as we know it. He used what most trapeze artists use, which is the safety net. He used the safety net as a way to propel a person as well as provide a safe landing area too. Through a testing process he reduced the size of the net to make it more practical for his use. This could be all a myth about Du Trampolin for there is no evidence that can be documented.

Diving Board

In 1934 the first trampoline as we know it was built by George Nissen who was a gymnastics and diving competitor and Larry Griswold who was a tumbler on the gymnastic team, both at the University of Iowa, USA. While observing trapeze artists using a net stretched tight to add to the value of their performance, they came up with the idea of a piece of canvas stretched around an angle iron frame to which they attached coiled springs that were inserted into grommets on the canvas and to the angle iron. The word trampoline in Spanish means diving board. Griswold and Nissen created the Griswold - Nissen Trampoline and Tumbling Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1942.

World War II

During the second World War the United States Navy Flight School used the trampoline to train their pilots and navigators. The use of the trampoline was again used in training American and Soviet astronauts during the first years of the space program.

Olympics

In 2000 trampolining was recognized as an official Olympic Event. A couple of the more popular games involving the trampoline is Slamball, which is similar to Basketball and Bossaball which is a variant of Volleyball.

We would agree that everyone has at least some choice
in life but we feel that most “choose” to do that which aligns
with their fate regardless of how much decision-making
power they think they have. As outlined in previous
columns, our belief is that everyone has far more power
of choice in spirit form before they incarnate.

Our view is that people generally don’t change and that
at least 75% of personal circumstances and events for
everyone are predestined. If people did change, nobody
would remain as they are and nobody would match the
myriad of personality traits, events, and circumstances
symbolized (quite clearly through comprehensive
methods if the analyst is going about it correctly) in
their numerology and astrology charts. We’ve observed,
time and time again, that people don’t ever “choose” to
do something that’s out of line with who they are as
defined by in-depth numerology and astrology charting,
even if they’re unaware of their charts.

Some might call us “fatalists,” and incorrectly label our
positions as overly-cynical and void of “promise,” but
please understand that we are simply relaying the results
of our research. If the idea of predestination discourages
you in any way, know that you have the ability to “get
what you want,” on a personality and ego-self level at
least some of the time, as long as the desired result
doesn’t conflict with your earthly path.

For example, your fate might deny you enduring
sizzling romance with your spouse; but you apply
your free will, decide to make the most of your
connection by emphasizing the rewarding parts and
therefore enrich your life through the expression of
gratitude.

Those who have patterns in the comprehensive charts
symbolizing the following random traits or circumstance,
for example, will “choose” to behave a certain way (at
the appropriate time, indicated by the timing charts) that
supports the manifestation of a related event, regardless
of whether or not they believe in fate.

*Aggressive
*Affluent
*Social
*Family oriented
*Romantic
*Sexually assertive
*Partnership oriented
*Spiritually disciplined
*Friendship oriented
*Antagonistic
*Submissive
*Expressive
*Linguistic
*Versatile
*Traditional
*Secretive
*Controlling
*Altruistic

Furthermore, people whose primary motivation is
recognition, for instance, will “choose” the options that
offer them the most fame and recognition, and they will
have the opportunity to manifest it if it’s their destined
path.

People who are naturally highly motivated by money
will “choose” the path with the highest compensation,
and will manifest amounts in accordance with their fate,
considering they act on their inborn desire, which they
invariably do. People who have great lifetime money
aspects in their comprehensive charts will “choose” the
path where they make a lot more money than most people.

Alternatively, people who have very challenging lifetime
money aspects in their comprehensive charts will “choose”
the path where they don’t acquire much money, or they will
acquire money and then lose some or all of it by “choosing”
ill-advised, high-risk investments, for example.

Those who have aspects in their comprehensive charts
for having happy family relationships will “choose” to
do things that encourage that. People who have aspects
in their comprehensive charts for having unhappy family
relationships will “choose” to do things that promote
those circumstances.

People who have not-so-great love karma will repeatedly
“choose” partners who cheat on them or who are otherwise
unreliable.

People who have strong addiction aspects (food, alcohol,
drugs, etc.) will “choose” to overindulge, again and again.

Emotionally needy people (as easily discerned through
handwriting analysis) will “choose” to never be alone by
“choosing” to either stay complacently in a relationship
that is over, or by leaving a connection as soon as they
find someone else with whom they can form a relationship.

Hollywood actors who have great lifetime fame and
recognition aspects will “choose” the path that allows
them to become famous. Hollywood actors who have
terrible fame and recognition aspects will “choose” the
path that provides them relative obscurity. People who
have great fame aspects, along with “fall from grace”
aspects, will “choose” the paths that allow for fame and
also infamy.

It’s good to assertively direct your energy toward goal
achievement, but even the most goal oriented and
motivated person will admit that often life seems to
“happen to” them. Circumstances beyond your control
will nudge and often times push you in the predestined
direction. The best anyone can do is to make the most
of themselves and their fate, strive for self-awareness,
change what they can, accept what they can’t change,
and stay open for clues about the next best step in all
areas of life.

Yes, everyone has the power to choose, but they
invariably “choose” what feels right, and what feels
right is consistently in harmony with their fate.

Every leader and business owner should have a dream for their business — a dream that they want to turn into reality. How do we make those dreams come true? We begin with the establishment of a stated purpose for our business and the development of a vision of what we want this business to become in the future. We should be able to answer the following questions: “Why does my business exist?” and “What do I want my business to be like in the future?” Once we have answered these questions, we are ready to move to the next step - organizing for success.

There are four steps to success:

Plan - Execute - Track - Analyze Many people think Henry Ford invented the automobile. He did not - it was invented in 1769 and powered by steam. The first gas powered car was built 18 years before Ford sold his first car. Henry Ford’s dream was for every family in America to own a car. This was considered an impossible dream in the early 20th century, yet Ford achieved his dream by turning it into a clear plan of action. He did that by turning:

1. His dream into specific goals

2. His goals into specific activities

3. His activities into specific daily and weekly actions

4. He assigned a specific time to complete each action

All he had to do was follow that plan, step by step, action by action, and his dream would be achieved. There were about 250 other car manufacturers when Ford built his Model T assembly plant in 1908, however, he built more cars in one day than most of his rivals could build in one month. By 1914, he was building more cars in one day than most competitors could build in one year.

Even the most possible dreams need a plan. Think about what you want to accomplish with your business; begin now to dream the most possible dream for your business. Turn your dream into reality. A large majority of students that qualified for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the last 10 years were from the state of Bihar. IAS is the backbone of the Indian government. If it were not for these officers the government machinery would grind to a halt.

The model of property taxation called the “Area Detail System” (ADS) or the
The Patna model exists in Patna in Bihar. The revenue increased substantially after this model was applied in Patna by the The Patna Municipal Corporation. Even the United Nations liked it and is not being applied by several countries.

The cooperative movement is making great advances in Bihar, especially in the dairy sector. Co-operative movement in its modern form started in the year 1904. Now co-operatives and formal legal entities under a statute have been in existence for a hundred years and this is the centenary year for Co-operatives.

Bihar is highly dependent in grain production and 13 other states of the country buy rice from Bihar. The Begusarai district is the largest maize producer in India.

Interestingly Bihar is way head in per-capita deposits, getting around 7 thousand crores per year.

Patna rice (also called also called Parimal rice) is as well known brand of rice.

Ancient patna (Patliputra) was once the capital of India and Bihar was greatest seat of learning in the world. The ancient ruins of Nalanda are considered the ruins of the oldest university of the world. The history of India is the history of ancient Magadh.
