Over Thinking, Under Performing

I’ve studied many top performers in various lines of employment, and have looked at several over achievers, and one of the major commonalities amongst them is the ability to not only do what they need to do, but also to take action!

Nike coined the phrase, “Just Do It,” and that simple quote, although so simple on it’s own, can make or break a person’s success in life.

How many times have you thought to yourself, “If only I had…”, or “Why didn’t I…?” Many times it’s either we chose the wrong option or we didn’t choose one at all. Most of the time, it’s because we didn’t choose one at all because we over think whatever it is and we end up doing nothing. You become one of the “Frozen Chosen.”

Leaders and successful people are able to act fast when needed. They don’t sit back and over analyze all of the what-ifs. Doing that will let the opportunity pass you by. You can’t possibly have all the answers without knowing all the questions, and the only way to know the questions is just by doing it sometimes.

In whatever you’re trying to accomplish, there will always be an inherent risk. Risk is a part of life. As children, we accomplish so much because we are not afraid of risks. As adults, we’ve been bombarded by negativity for years that we’re afraid to take risks. We over analyze everything because we want to assess ALL the risks. It’s impossible to move anywhere in life without taking risks and you’ll never achieve anything unless you stop over thinking.

Over Thinking = Under Performing

If something you want to accomplish has been proven by someone else, follow in their footsteps. Do what they do. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You can improve on things, but you’ll never get anywhere unless you…Just do it! It’s so easy to think yourself out of accomplishing your goals, whether it’s to start a home business, succeed in network marketing, become a super salesperson, or improve on any area of your life. If you sit back and over think your dream, you’ll never accomplish it.

The only way to win a race is to get running. Don’t stand at the starting line and try to figure out how to turn the corner a mile down the road. Cross the starting line! Put one foot in front of the other. Soon, the finish line will be within reach.

Darren Robinson has been involved in network marketing for a number of years. Many of those years spent in frustration and failure. Now, success is all that happens in his life and you can visit Darren’s blog at http://workathomefreedom.blogspot.com/ for more articles to help you achieve your goals.

Does your fragrance make you feel dapper or well dressed? People who are always well dressed create memories for those who are constantly around them. In the designer world, fashion and fragrance are twins. To be successful in the dapper world, a designer name helps. People are intrigued by a name. Once you have formed this special bond with the name, it is the memory of the fragrance that lingers in the minds of others. This bond should not be broken simply because you want to make a change. This fragrance has now become a part of who you are.

Fashions change constantly, but memories of a fragrance linger from generation to generation. Bourjois created Evening in Paris in 1929. The fashions of that time are no longer with us, but often times I have listened to several old timers tell their tales of the Good Ole Days. It is evident that this beautiful fragrance was a solid favorite during the early wartime days. The memories of this lovely fragrance have lingered through the years.

Fragrance can also make a woman feel that she is the heroine of a romantic story and the man can feel that his cologne is the amour which makes him her knight. A lovely fragrance represents beauty, dreams, pleasures and even romance. There is no language barrier in fragrance. All the peoples of the world react to a great scent.

Designer fragrances are successful because each designer’s fragrance represents something special about them. Many people today can relate to these designers in different ways whether by fashion or fragrance. I am sure many of us have that special “classic” designer suit in our closet today with that favorite name on the label.

Whether you are a man or a woman, your fragrance should give you the freedom to feel good about yourself. All of us have some favorite things as well as favorite people. I love fragrance and just in case you have not found your favorite designer fragrance yet, I will offer you my suggestions because you deserve the “real” thing for long lasting pleasure and not knockoffs or imitations.

For the man looking for the top selling masculine scents to be worn at any time of the day or evening, I suggest the following designers: Giorgio Armani, Davidoff, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein and Paul Sebastian.

For the woman looking for the top selling feminine scents to be worn at any time of the day or evening, I suggest the following designers: Thierry Mugler, Ellen Tracy, Dolce & Gabbana, and Oscar De La Renta.

Go ahead and enjoy these distinctive and unique classics.

What exactly does this Me, Myself, and I mean? You hear it all the time and figure that perhaps we are comprised of three parts, the physical, the conscious, and the subconscious and each has a certain function which, well combined make up who you really are. Well. If this is what you think, you are right on the money, though some philosophers divide humans in four and not three parts.

But, for the sake of argument, let’s say that Me is your physical body, the one that reacts to your environment and gives you sensation; Myself is your subconscious, the elusive part of your being which controls everything, including all your life experiences and gives you direction in life; and finally I, your conscious being, which determines your experiences.

Now, as a living being you must have all 3 parts working in unison, in order for you to be happy and enjoy life. Think of yourself as a big ship. The RMS Cynthia, or RMS Claude, or, RMS Your Name. Your body is the ship, sturdy, ready to face all types of weather, from spring days when the breeze is fresh and the ocean is calm and clear, to blustery wintry days, when squalls and gigantic waves shake and toss it everywhere.

If your body is that great ship, the crew is your subconscious mind. At the command is your conscious mind, the captain of the ship. The captain decides the best route to take for a perfect trip. The captain is in charge. The crew performs all the tasks necessary for this successful voyage. From cleaning and fixing the ship, to steering the wheels your crew is crucial to the trip because it is formed by extremely experienced sailors who, together, know even more than the captain what is best for the trip.

When all 3 components of the ship are working together, the trip is indeed splendid and very much enjoyable. Trouble is when the captain decides to do something and the crew, filled with experience does not agree. Mutiny ensues. The captain says: “I wish to go this way”; the crew, knowing that there might be an iceberg on the way says “No, we are not going there at this time” or “No, this is not the best route to take.”

An impasse has been created and the crew, being more powerful than the captain does what it thinks best. The captain’s orders fall into deaf ears. The result is a stalling. The captain becomes very unhappy and the ship goes nowhere.

For example: Think of something you truly desire. You command: I wish to buy a house. And you tell your crew: make it east. Your crew, knowing that east is full of obstacles will do nothing. The result? No house, however many times you command your crew to go east.

Now, what if, instead of just exercising your authority and determining where to go, your form a committee with your crew and ask their opinion? They have the experience; you have the will. Whenever you have an idea or a desire, instead of just shouting orders, you ask your crew’s opinion and make sure both parties agree on the best route.

You will see that your trip will be much smoother and you will be much happier. So, instead of saying: “I will do this, I will go there, I will buy such and such,” ask your subconscious mind its opinion: “Cindy, what do you think about this?” “Clo, can we do this together?” — be sure to speak to it using an endearing nickname– and when ready for action, say: “We will do this, we will go there, we will buy such and such.”

It may sound funny for those listening to you. Never mind that. You will be a happier person because now, with the willing engagement of your crew, your wishes will become your reality.

4 Keys To Staying Motivated

Staying motivated is easy when everything is going well, but it not always last! We have to renew it each and every day. That is okay. It does not make motivation a bad thing. You simply have to realize that if you want to stay motivated over the long term, it is something you will have to apply yourself to each and every day.

1. Have a goal for your life.

If you do not have a goal, then what are you moving toward? The root word of motivation is “motive.” The definition of motive is, “A reason to act.” This is the cognitive or rational side of motivation. It is your vision. You have to have a vision that is big enough to motivate you. Set out a vision and a strategy for getting there. Have a plan and work the plan.

2. Fuel your passion.

It is much easier to be motivated to do what you are passionate about. Set yourself on a course to have a consuming desire to reach your goals.

3. Work hard and get results.
The harder you work, the more results you get, and the more results you get, the more it will motivate you to work harder! Start with a small achievable goal. Aim to lose a few pounds. When you have, it will motivate you to work toward losing more.

4. Surround yourself with motivational material.

Find good material that will motivate you toward where you want to go. Read books that teach you new ideas and skills. Read books that tell the stories of successful people. Buy them, read them, and get motivated! Buy great music and listen to it. It gets you going and motivates you!

Horseshoeing for Sheared Heels, the Problems and Risks

First let’s define what sheared heels are. Sheared heels are when the heel of the horse’s foot grows forward toward the toe. Instead of there being support for the foot in the heel area where the horse needs it support is reduced - the heels have grown forward and there’s no foot (heel) to provide the support for the horse’s foot.

Now instead of the horse having heel support when he or she walks there’s a good chance the horse is rocking back on the heel instead of having his foot just land flat and then being able to easily walk off. Now the horse’s foot “labors” on the ground and slows down its normal way of travel. The foot does more work now - first it’s heels sink into the ground at the heel then it has to recover before returning to going forward.

This labored process of slowed travel comes with several issues you should be concerned with. As the foot labors on the ground and the heel sinks into the ground it’s stretching the deep flexor tendon - a bowed tendon would really ruin your day. Also as the foot labors the stretch to the tendon puts more pressure on the navicular bones which is not desirable either. The deep flexor stretch also pulls on the coffin bone causing rotation in worst case scenario. None of these issues add up to future well being of your horse. In some cases horses already sense these things physically and is just not happy.

What usually comes along with sheared heels is a long toe (growing forward). The forward growth contributes to hoof wall stretch and drift - the whole hoof capsule is drifting forward which pulls along those heels with it (sheared heels). Most farriers are afraid to rasp the toe to the rear so the problems continue.

While the hoof stretch continues and the heels shear usually there’s some contraction to the heels as well (narrowing). In this case the contraction puts more pressure on the navicular bones - putting “The Squeeze” on them. And what you’ll see many times with horse’s feet under these conditions is what I call “The Blowout”. It’s the area of the hoof just forward of the heels where the downward pressure (from the weight of the horse) combined with the sheared under slung heel - the contraction puts the load on the hoof wall out of balance and you’ll see a horizontal crack blow out the side of the hoof.

Well this should give you enough to think about for now. Talking about the “Fix” to sheared heels will come - just find my article called “Sheared Heels the Fix” at EzineArticles.com.

You should know I have a 16 year 100% track record “Not One Lame Horse” due to my method of shoeing. This method is not taught in the schools or textbooks. For some reason the industry just hasn’t caught on yet - it’s still behind the learning curve. You can remove any misunderstandings about horse shoeing and remove any mystery you still have about it as well by just going to the website link below in the Author Bio. How do you figure out the best type of golf clubs to buy? First off, you probably will want to find out about a little of their history and how golf clubs and golf balls have changed as they have improved to become what they are today.

Here are some quick highlights about golf equipment.

1. Why are there are different types of golf clubs?

When golf began, the first players used just the wood that was available nearby to make one or two rough clubs. As golf became more popular, the clubs were carved and formed to handle the different shots necessary for various soils. However, even with shaping the club for more precision, the wooded heads of the clubs wore out quickly.

Then, the iron heads were developed and placed the the wooden shaft, which made the clubs last a lot longer. Now there were two distinct types of clubs commonly used.

2. How did the lengths of golf clubs change?

So, who did make first golf clubs? Mostly, the golfers themselves make their own clubs. Golf clubs of high quality were produced by local farmers and skilled craftsmen. These men were the most capable and had the materials already to make the iron heads and hard wood golf clubs.

The Scottish kings and then other European kings, had their personal craftsmen make their golf clubs. The very same craftsmen that fashioned the bows and arrows, made the royal golf clubs as well.

3. What are modern golf clubs made out of today?

Today, thanks to development of a vast number of metals, plastics and ceramics, the number of materials that golf clubs are made of is overwhelming. The most common materials are titanium, aluminum, steel, copper, and beryllium. Actually the majority of golf clubs have graphite shafts and titanium heads.

A set of good golf clubs may cost you a pretty penny, but with their strong modern construction, your clubs may endure many different kinds of golf courses, weather and accidental abuse as they get tossed around while being moved from course to car to storage.

Few golfers these days have any wood in their golf clubs at all. This makes golf clubs and other golf equipment last for many years, extending their life considerably. Passing on a favorite golf club to a son or an honored friend is not uncommon with people that have enjoyed playing golf for decades all of their life. Surely, the best kind of golf club.

College Manners

If you have been in a college setting as a student, or faculty, or staff, you know very well that there are some behaviors that need to be re-thought and re-enacted in order for everyone to benefit from a more harmonious college environment.

What one can see is that the longer one stays in the university setting, the less one can see little acts of kindness and good breeding. Blame it on TV or perhaps lack of proper parenting. Perhaps younger parents are not aware that having good manners is not only important for the person displaying it but also for the society in general. Good manners promote good will and harmony.

When we seek the definition of politeness we see that it is nothing else than paying attention to, and being considered of, others. Since we leave amongst other people, it is crucial that we become aware of those around us and whenever possible perform acts that will make each other’s life a little better. What we do to ourselves and especially to others matters greatly.

Nice matters. And nice is nothing but demonstrated politeness. For instance, a student says good bye to a professor upon leaving the classroom. A professor apologizes for a comment out of context. A secretary brings water to a distressed student. A receptionist goes out of her way to try to fix a jammed copier. A janitor greets a professor with a smile. A janitor opens the door to the mail room as a professor approaches the room. And so on.

If you are a student, here are some situations that deserve your attention not only when you are in a college setting, but every time the situation requires:

1. Turn off your cell phone when you enter an elevator. No one cares for your conversation and having to hear it is a great imposition.

2. When you are coming down the stairs, pay attention to those going up. If you are talking to someone and therefore are descending in double line, those going up may have no room.

3. Even if you have not being introduced to them officially, greet your classmates if you meet them somewhere else on campus. Likewise, greet your professors and other staff from your department.

4. Avoid wearing objectionable clothes, especially T-shirts with writings on them. They may be funny to you but insulting to others. For example: “Love sucks; true love swallows,” “Masturbation is not a crime,” “So many boys, so little time,” etc.

5. Groom yourself. Take a shower every day, comb your hair, and wear a deodorant.

6. On the other hand, avoid marinating yourself in lotions and perfumes. Someone may be allergic to strong smells.

7. Go a little farther from entrance doors to smoke. Many people are allergic to the smoke of your cigarette.

8. While holding an umbrella, make sure you are not drenching the next person, especially under heavy rain.

9. Hold the door to the person following you. This is a gesture that goes a long way.

10. Thank the person who held the door open for you. It is good to feel appreciated.

11. If you happen to make eye contact with someone, smile. You never know how much the other person needed a little warmth.

12. Thank the person who just left a spot for you in the parking lot.

13. Keep your music to yourself. Blasting music from other people’s cars is very annoying, especially when there are a lot of students using the roads to go to other buildings.

14. Always flush the toilet and wash your hands.

15. Knock at your professor’s office door; wait until you are allowed in, and greet your professor. When you leave the office, thank the person, say good-bye and close the door behind you.

16. Let older people get in the elevator ahead you.

17. Let others come out of the elevator before you go in.

18. Likewise, let others come out of the classroom before you come in. Wait until the professor leaves the classroom as well.

19. Always put your chair back in its original position before leaving the classroom, in case you moved it.

20. Toss your garbage in the trash can.

21. Remember to recycle your bottles upon leaving the classroom.

There are many more situations to which one must pay attention. For now, if you can do the ones suggested, you will be greatly enhancing the happiness of everyone around you, including yours. It costs nothing to be polite and the rewards are so big.

Your bodymind’s state of health is formed from a complex interrelationship of your heredity together with a myriad of other considerations like your physical, emotional, mental and environmental history; your memories (habits and attitudes).

As an individual you have your own unique lifetime of experiences.

I often witness forgotten traumas and injuries from a client’s past surfacing during a Bowen Therapy session.

Your bodymind stores cellular memories in your subconscious mind.

When suppressed memories in your subconscious mind are unlocked by an appropriate trigger or signal the information held in your bodyminds surfaces; comes to your conscious awareness.

Healing means wholeness!

As your memories bubble up to the surface your acceptance of them allows for healing and wholeness to occur.

Your act of acceptance allows your previously suppressed and painful memories to naturally surface and melt away. The result is you feel at peace.

Thus your allowing and acceptance naturally results in the healing of a wound previously held in your subconscious mind.

Bowen Therapy used in this way can be viewed as regenerative and restorative rather than simply remedial.

What To Look For In Web Hosting Services?

This is a question that gets asked a lot, and with good reason. With so many hosting services to choose from, it is hard to know who to go with. Each one promises the moon and one is cheaper than the other. This is where you have to be very careful. Hopefully, this article will give you some basic things to look for and be careful of. The wrong choice can cost you more than just money.

The first thing you want to look for in a web hosting service is reputation. That’s not to say that a new company can’t give you a great service, but there is always a risk in going with a company that is brand new. So do a little research into the company you’re thinking of going with and see if there have been many complaints logged against them. See what other people have to say on blogs and websites. Naturally you have to take what people say with a grain of salt, but if almost everybody speaks highly of a web hosting company, then there is a very good chance that the company is reputable and will provide a good service.

The next thing you want to do is look for certain features. Most web hosting companies will provide you with many options so you can always upgrade at a later date if you find you need more than your current package gives you. Some of the features you want to look for are decent monthly bandwidth, disk storage, script and database support, such as PHP and MySQL, and uptime guarantees.

The thing you want to be careful about are hosting companies that make promises that are unreasonable. Many companies promise unlimited monthly bandwidth and unlimited disk storage. Think about this logically. How can you have unlimited disk storage? Hard disk drives do have a finite storage capacity. So any company that makes claims like these is probably one that is just after your money. It is not unusual however to get disk storage of 10 gig or more. Just look for a finite size. Same thing with bandwidth. No company will give you unlimited bandwidth for a set price. If you exceed a certain limit, they WILL charge you.

Finally, there is price. In this case you do get what you pay for, though basic hosting packages with decent bandwidth and storage can be as low as $5 a month. However, if you want a really top notch package with all the bells and whistles and enough disk space to choke the state of Alaska, then you will have to pay significantly more. Just sit down, think about what your budget is, and then take it from there.

Choosing a web host is very important. The decision that you make can affect you for the rest of your life on the Internet, especially if you lock yourself into something that is going to be very hard to get out of.
