An Industry Where Jobs Are NOT Exported

While American labor continues to be exported to cheaper places like China or India and the average American spends more than they earn, it’s comforting to know that there is one industry where jobs are not exported and money actually comes from both domestic and foreign sources. That industry is Tourism.

Tourism encompasses a variety of activities to encourage spending in a destination for pleasure such as dining, sightseeing, transportation, lodging, and services. According to the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), it is a $1.3 trillion industry responsible for nearly $105 billion in tax revenue for local, state, and federal levels of government and about 17 million jobs in the country - making it the third largest source for employment in the private sector. These jobs remain in the country because the goods and services supporting the tourist activities do not leave the country.

In addition to the obvious economic benefits, there are numerous other benefits. For example, tourism (and travel in general) promotes a culture of goodwill through open-mindedness, sharing, and understanding. It’s one of the few industries where the US can use it as a tool for diplomacy to improve foreign relations as well as the safety of both domestic and international travelers. Meanwhile, people who are on vacation tend to be friendlier, enlightened, and happier. Providers who tend to have passion and pride about various attractions and aspects of their local regions are eager to accommodate and lead tourists to such interesting places. As a result, cultures and customs are shared in such environments resulting in the traveler getting a greater perspective and understanding of the world as well as memories that are cherished for a lifetime.

Furthermore, tourism (especially nature-based ones) tends to encourage responsible use of land if the tourism being sold is sustainable. Sustainable tourism means you don’t necessarily have to deplete natural resources (e.g. clearing forests, polluting the air, altering watercourses and rivers, hunting or overfishing, etc.) to make money. After all, if the land gets trashed (whether by industry, overdevelopment, overexploitation, urban blight, etc.), then there is nothing except contrived tourist traps to attract tourists. Without the tourists, the economic activity and goodwill that benefits all involved would disappear.

So the Tourism industry seems like something that makes sense for the US government to get behind it, right?

Sadly, the United States is the only major industrialized nation without a nationally coordinated effort or office to promote international travel to the country. Tourism is mainly carried out amongst a scattering of independent agencies and offices at the local and state levels. The National Park Service is perhaps the only federally administered organization to promote tourism nationally, but underfunding and political agendas have forced the NPS to compromise its principles as it finds itself unable to maintain the sustainable tourism necessary to keep the system relevant. According to a 2005 TIA study, the US government has spent $6.1 million in promotion of travel and tourism while Australia has spent $92.9 million, Spain $119.7 million, Greece $141.8 million, Canada $47 million, United Kingdom $65 million, and India $24.1 million.

According to the Discover American Partnership, overseas travel to the United States has dropped 17% since September 11, 2001. The reason for this decline is primarily the deteriorating perception of the United States (exacerbated by the Iraq War, a difficult and lengthy US visa process, and questionable security practices at the point of entry). According to a recent RT Strategies survey comprised of 2,000 international travelers polled, the US entry process was rated the worst by more than 200% over the next worst region - the Middle East. Furthermore, the Travel Industry Association also cites that the US market share in the international tourism trade has dropped 35% since 1992.

As a result, the United States (both the government and the majority of its population) is becoming increasingly out of touch with the rest of the world. This is evident with the slow acceptance of Global Warming and Global Climate Change, the irresponsibly wasteful and consumeristic way of life, and an ignorance of what’s really going on in the world.

So how did it get this bad in the first place?

Unfortunately, tourism does not directly profit for politicians and corporations as quickly as industries thriving on a culture of consumption (especially products related to energy and/or gas and oil, health products, self-esteem, or housing/real estate). After all, if tourism is not on the political agenda, it gets ignored. There’s also media influences (much of which promotes a consumeristic lifestyle) which is especially strong in the United States because of the amount of time most Americans spend watching television. The failing education system has also contributed mightily to the consumerism mentality - especially at such impressionable ages. Such factors have ultimately resulted in a population that’s largely indifferent to travel as a necessary means of improving the quality of life as evidenced by the fact that only 25% of Americans have a passport.

So with these disturbing trends in mind, what can we do about it?

The reality is that short of a war or a revolution, meaningful change will not happen under the democratic process unless we make informed decisions when we vote while changing the way we live. We can inform ourselves by questioning what the media is bombarding us with as well as what we were taught throughout our education system, and determine the sources (and motives) of the information we have received. We can also choose to take public transportation, to be more cognizant of the way we spend our money and utilize resources, and of course travel and learn. Furthermore, even although writing to elected officials is a longshot way of addressing problems, it has worked in the past (such as the usage and preservation of Niagara Falls). There’s really no way around the fact that it’ll be up to us to change America (and the world) for the better.

Certainly the world is not perfect, and consumerism and economics are necessary to sustain a comfortable existence that the majority of us hope to enjoy. So with this in mind, it seems that of all the industries that are out there, tourism is practical and sensible and certainly worth supporting.

Multitasking Again?

Do you pride yourself on being a magnificent multitasker?
Do you feel as though you can accomplish everything on your list only if you multitask?

There are more and more studies being done about how the brain operates when we are doing more than one thing at a time. Concern over the safety of using cell phones while driving has spurred some of the research. People are talking on their phone, eating or smoking, and driving all at the same time. There is no wonder that errors of judgement are occurring, causing traffic collisions.

Rene Marois and Paul Dux, scientists at Vanderbilt University, have found in their research that even though it seems as though we are able to do two things at once, our brain actually shuts down one of the functions briefly as we’re performing the other task. They described it as having all the information in our brain suddenly hitting a bottleneck. This delay is know as dual-task interference.

They have located the bottleneck by using functional magnetic resonance imaging, a technology that shows what areas of the brain are active in mental tasks by mapping changes in the blood’s oxygen levels. The scientists studied the brain activity of their subjects who were performing two demanding tasks.

They could see that the neural response to the second task was postponed until the response to the first was completed. Still to be determined is what is actually happening in this “bottleneck” of the brain that is slowing performance.

What does this mean to you as you’re working to increase your productivity?

You may overlook obvious solutions.
Your creativity will not be accessed completely.
Most likely work will need to be redone due to errors.
Your anxiety level may increase.
It will be difficult to have the satisfaction of a job well done.
You’ll probably miss what others are saying to you.
You may not notice physical discomfort or tension until it is serious.

What is the solution?
Mindfulness.

Being mindful means focusing attention on what you’re experiencing from moment to moment. It’s quite a challenge to be mindful in our hectic world. Studies are showing us that mindfulness is a worthwhile habit to develop.

At the Mind/Body Medical Institute and the University of Wisconsin, they found that after mindfulness training, brain wave recordings showed a pattern of activity greater in the left prefrontal cortex that is associated with happiness and optimism. Mindfulness also influenced the immune system of those in the study. The mindfulness students produced more antibodies than the controls.

All of these studies are showing us that multitasking is not the panacea that so many of us think it is to getting everything done.

Instead, we’re hearing that mindfulness is a worthwhile habit to develop.
Our safety, happiness, and productivity depend on it!

The Power of Successful Logo & Branding

Tips For Creating A Memorable Logo

Everyday consumers are bombarded with millions of marketing and advertising brands. Typically you will only remember a handful of them and more than likely they are big business names. Competition in the logo world is difficult, but with these tips your businesses will shine.

Take Time To Research

Discover what your competitors have already done. This is a must do for your business. It gives you a chance to see what has already been done, strengths, weaknesses and is a great brainstorming technique.

Research your internal business as well. Find adjectives that punctuate your organizations mission. What distinguishes your organization from competitors? Dig deep to reflect the overall feel and uniqueness inside.

During your research remember that anything can be used as your logo. Whether it be animals, abstract shapes, letters, numbers, nature, or animation. No matter what you choose they all can be used to create a recognizable symbol for your business.

In addition you will want to research your customer or target market. Take into consideration their lifestyle, values, needs, and demographics. An excellent way to identify with your audience is to uncover what they relate to.

Leave an Impression

Simplicity is key to a lasting impression. You must not “awe” your audience with overwhelming detail. Think of your logo as a smile that represents your company. This smile is filled with life that draws consumers in to discover what your business is all about.

When consumers see the Pepsi logo they immediately think cool, fun and pleasurable. Pepsi leaves a first-class memorable impression. Keep in mind although we live in a colorful society black and white are still recognizable and beautiful.

When creating your logo, internal, external, and audience research are vitally important to executing a successful logo. Logos are very simple, so keep yours simple. Have your logo represent your organizations brand, its products, identity and trademarks.

A Rhythm Clock Puts on a Real Show

Tired of your traditional clocks with just a few chimes or chirps? Well, a company out of Japan, Rhythm Clock Company, has taken the world of animated and musical clocks one step further. Established in 1950, they developed what is now the standard for sound and motion clocks. Their rhythm clocks are not some cheap promotional clock, but are high quality, musical timepieces. They display magical motion and brilliant sound for your entertainment.

What Does a Rhythm Clock Do?

If you have never seen a rhythm wall clock in action, you are in for a real treat. These amazing clocks not only announce the time, but put on a real show. A typical rhythm clock’s dial will split open into 2 or 3 sections, parts and figures will start spinning, synchronized lighting will start flashing, and quality sound and music will start playing. What a treat for your senses!

But don’t worry - these clocks generally have an automatic night shut-off sensor to disable the lighting and sound options once the lights go out. The “show” could prove a bit much at two o’clock in the morning!

What Sound and Music Does the Clock Play?

Here is where rhythm clocks really set themselves apart from your more traditional musical clocks. These clocks have a high-quality sound system built into the mechanism that would do stereo aficionados proud. Each clock utilizes either a Clarion Sound System or Dynamic Wave Sound to produce their exquisite sound. These systems produce a crisp and melodic sound while playing a variety of tunes.

If you are a music fan, a rhythm clock will play famous Broadway show tunes, a little Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, or any number of familiar favorites, depending on the model. Some will even play a few Christmas carols to get you into the holiday mood. Not only do these clocks produce music, but include a lighting system that is synchronized with the beat of the music and motion of the figures.

What Does a Rhythm Wall Clock Look Like?

Surprisingly, these wall clocks look like any high end model, with frames constructed of walnut, oak, or composite materials. The clock faces are very attractive with numbers or numerals set in gold and silver. Some models even have Swarovski crystals to give the clock a more elegant appearance.

Rhythm clocks come in a number of different styles - Traditional, Contemporary, and even a Cuckoo - to match all types of decors. Their attractive appearance would make you comfortable decorating with one of these clocks in almost any room. Their elegant styling lends these clocks for use in your living room, den, or most family living areas.

So, if you are looking for a wall clock that is unique and attractive at the same time, a rhythm clock is an outstanding choice. These time-focused “entertainment” centers are truly a joy for family and friends to watch.

Through The Years - Errr Flames

Zippo has been lighting our cigars and cigarettes for 75 years now and who knows how many packs have we finished and how many have died of cigarette and fire related incidents. Just kidding!

Zippo’s well loved by all consumers and collectors. They have put on a vast variety of design through the years and they never failed any of the expectations.

It all began in 1932 when George G. Blaisdell watched a friend use an Austria-made lighter. And with any flaws, he decided to work on it and improve it. He let the chimney design stay, put on various modifications so as it is easy to operate and to handle. Then it was born 1933.

The same year saw the name Zippo. They stuck to it because it sounds cool and very much the epitome of modernity and success. $ 1.95 each was the retail price of the said baby. It came with a tag saying, “It works or we fix it freeTM.”. It was a guarantee Mr.Blaisdell had kept all this lifelong journey.

Kendall Refining Company placed an order for 500 Zippo lighters during the decade and they are believed to be the first company-advertised lighters produced by Zippo and are highly collectible.

World War II saw all major companies close to help bring out America’s best, including Zippo. They still continued to produce lighters and handed them out to soldiers. From this, Zippo was given the free advertisement and publicity. It was later known as one of America’s symbol. And after the war, Zippo was a class on its own.

Zippo established their Canada plant in Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1949. Outside the USA, this is the only place in the world where Zippo lighters were made. To give proper due, Zippo included the Niagara Falls icon at the bottom of each lighter. Free trade policies in the 90s gave way to the closure of the said plant and bring back it’s entire production in Bradford Pennsylvania. The plant was closed in 2002.

Date codes were stamped on the bottom of every Zippo lighter. The codes have since become an invaluable tool for collectors. They keep track of everything! From here they launched the Slim model in 1956. The reason behind them were women. Other items saw the steel pocket tape measure, or “rule”. There were brought so as to promote the company. It includes key chains, pocket knives, golf greenskeepers, pen-and-pencil sets and the ZipLight pocket flashlight.

The 70’s and the 80’s saw Zippo expanding into 120 countries. Japan was their largest consumer outside the US. the company now is being run by the grandson of Mr.Blaisdell. Mr.Blaisdell passed away on October 3, 1978.

There are over four million collectors of Zippo lighters. They held a gathering called Zippo/Case Intl Swap Meet every odd year. Even years, the meet is held in Japan. Together with their commitment to bring collectors and fans, they opened the Zippo/Case Visitors Center in 1997. This facility houses a repair center, museum and a store.

Being famous required the presence of Zippo in Hollywood’s walk of fame. Thye were seen in countless movies depicting the character embodied by the lead actor or simply the era shown by the scene. Nevertheless, Zippo will never go out of line.

Zippo went out their way and make those multi purpose lighters handy. They even filed a patent to their lighter’s image. No more fake one’s!

Last year. Zippo surpassed the milestone of 425 million lighters. And they are still counting! Different cultures have been in the Zippo lighter. The style and design speaks of the unparalleled reach of Zippo throughout the world. One proof is the 98% of the people worldwide knows what a Zippo is. Also, they kept their promise! Not a single cent on repairs because, not a single one broke.

And now, they are offering three distinct and unique lighters worth every penny that you’ll be shelving. All of them comes in high polished chrome. One comes in gray metal finish with a symbolic 75 years 1932-2007. bearing the Zippo name on the cap, this piece comes in two tone silver and gold plated finish. They wont be complete without bearing a diamond.

The last masterpiece saw it in 18K gold. It sells for $4,000. the previously mentioned lighters comes at $75 and $45 respectively. They bore a certificate of authenticity and is available worldwide.

A piece of time is what you need to rekindle the passion brought by your desires.

And There Was Light

And there was light.

God loves us so much that He never left us sitting in the dark. And so upon His likeness, they had invented the lighter!

Man encountered fire when lightning struck a tree while rain was pouring. From then, they used it to give heat and cook food. Drying things was done under a big ball of fire which is the sun. Fire killed all bacteria when a meteor washed out all living things on Earth.

And by then, by striking stones and continuously rubbing a stick on a plane of wood creates friction and therefore releases heat in the form of fire. From this concept, a pistol was invented.

Lighters were invented back in the 1800’s. They used flint to ignite flammable liquid or gasoline. Overtime, they improved and were done in automatic by 1911. The main idea was to give light or fire. They should be light to be carried around with enough fuel to last a couple of days.

From the advent of smoking, lighters became more indispensable. It served as the match to what could be death at an early age or lifelong sickness.

Lighters became fashionable and then became good buddies in cigarette packs sold in grocery stores and other establishments. They can be worn even as necklaces as ornaments. They look fashionable on belts!

1933 saw lighters that operate under butane. Butane is a chemical under the branch of alkane. They are flammable, colorless and liquefied. Its name was derived from butyric acid. You may die as well from butane contact through inhalation.

One famous type of lighter was Piezo. They sell almost 500 million a year! They use the strike method to bring out flames. This was done through hammer impact.

Before 1950, gas lighter came. The success of this lighter prompted others to source alternative means to distribute fire.

A prized possession was the electronic lighter. They became a hit that anyone would want to buy one. Upon its launch, queue of lines were formed and before the day’s half, it was gone already. Next to them was windproof ones. Would you still need an explanation about it?

And even unexplainable one’s were quickly gone on the shelf. The flameless lighter attracted thousands of consumers. There were reports that cigars and cigarette manufacturers went into miles just to woo companies making them. Promotional hits were delivered. Everybody happy!

Lighter manufacturing is a good business, just look at Zippo!

Lighters have their purpose and with this should be responsible usage. Proper handling. One may be engaged on handling lighters for smoking and lighting sticks of cigarettes but this privilege should be given only to legal aged persons.

Lighters should be admired and given respect. They have been usual suspects whenever fire razed a house or a building. We just know what a lighter can do to our property if and when they are handled improperly.

Lets take the time off and watch them lit our breaks!

Big Hitters to Avoid in Your Relationship (3)

A. Conflict with Relatives. This occurs most frequently when one spouse remains dependent on her parents for money or emotional support or another is too weak to defend his family against undue interference from his parents. Interfering relatives are always a problem for new couples trying to make their own life in their own way and with little experience. The new couple does not really want to cause antagonism by being impolite to their loved ones, as they would value any advice or expertise, especially when they ask for it and it isn’t imposed. But they have to do things their way to learn about life.

Young couples setting out on their own exciting journey cannot live their lives entirely according to someone else’s expectation or as a mirror to someone else’s relationship. They have to find their own course and establish their own values and boundaries in their own time, regardless of the obstacles. Unless both parties show confidence and faith in each other at the early stages, and defend one another from interfering relatives, the problem will inevitably escalate, leaving one partner always feeling isolated, unsupported and powerless.

For example, my ex-husband is an Indian Sikh. Some of my newly acquired relatives were so racist, it took the patience of the biblical Job to actually deal with them. Up to the time I left my home, 33 years after my marriage, one of my husband’s sisters in Birmingham never visited us once because I was Black and she did not want her friends knowing we were related! But then, she was only following their father’s example. After his young son’s death, I felt very pleased to read a poem for him in the local temple on the day of the funeral. However, I learnt later what the father had told other members of his family that very day. He said that, while he appreciated the poem, he did not like the fact that I read it in the temple where everyone could see I was Black! He would also prefer it if I did not come to the house during the day, only at night. This was after 28 years of being married to his son, with me mistakenly believing I was a family member by then.

Discriminatory Behaviour

The most hurtful thing to me was that not one of the relatives present thought his comments were wrong. Fearing him, they simply accepted what he said without questioning the morality of it. He was old so his actions could be excused. But there is no excuse for racism or any other kind of prejudice. In fact, it took my husband a very long time to accept that some of his relatives were racist, which made me feel even more isolated and low in esteem, but exceedingly proud of who I was and deeply resistant to their discriminatory behaviour. However, it felt like a long, lonely battle, with me on one side and ‘the family’ on the other, trying to validate who I was when I was not seeking anyone’s permission to be Black. It was interesting to see that, after I left home, not a single one of them contacted me, not even those who used to tell me how much they cared for me! It was as if I were invisible. I was disappointed, but not too surprised. It is difficult for superficial, uncaring and racist people to behave otherwise.

B. Chauvinism and Controlling Gender Roles. This includes a ‘my way or else’ approach, insecurity, possessiveness, a desire for perfection and trying to change your partner. Wanting things to be a certain way and having preferences are completely natural and even healthy. However, when this tendency becomes extreme and starts to encroach on the rights, needs and desires of others, it can cause major havoc. Where there is no equality in a relationship, there is no respect. Instead, there is usually a passive, fearful doormat who allows her/himself to be walked upon. Both parties to a relationship have equal rights, regardless of the division of labour and the nature of their careers. Both enhance one another, thus teamwork should be paramount.

Freedom of will and self-determination are basic needs. When these are being threatened, negative reactions may include anger, resentment, and/or rebellion. One person should not be taking advantage of the other in domestic matters or in sexual expectations. The relationship can only survive through both people working in tandem, otherwise it will fall apart at the first opportunity mainly through resentment and lack of respect. If the need to control is a problem in your relationship, identify the motivation behind it and work towards dealing with those issues rather than imposing your will on your partner.

What Is Dark Matter?

There are many things we still do not understand about our universe. Scientists have recently reached the conclusion that a ‘Big Bang’ really did start it all, because they have detected the heat-noise from the radiation that the Big Bang created. But that does not explain how our Solar System is so unique. Why we have no proof, as yet, that there is life on any other planet. It does not explain how our universe is held together by a strange substance called, ‘Dark Matter’, without which, the universe would collapse.

I believe that all of these questions can be answered by two words, Intelligent Design. In other words, a creator God. He is the reason that all of the particles from The Big Bang, ended up exactly where they were supposed to go. Our unique Solar System, with the sun at its centre, has two big gas planets called Saturn and Jupiter, which swallow up many meteorites before they get to us. The Sun itself is just the right distance from the planet where God created life. Any closer to us and we would burn up, any further away and we would freeze. The moon controls our tides, but if it was any closer to us, or any bigger than it is, the Earth would flood. As it probably would if we had two or more moons.

But the greatest argument for Intelligent Design, is this mysterious ‘Dark Matter’. No one can figure out what it actually is and where it came from, but without it, the universe would loose cohesion. In my opinion, there is only one explanation. Dark Matter was created by God, to hold everything together.

I think we are living in a wonderful age, where scientists are realising that the universe could not have happened by accident. If life had begun on Earth by random chance, then the chances are that we would have discovered life on some other planet by now. But life has NOT been discovered, despite all our technology and the probes which have been sent from Earth to investigate space.

Maybe its time we stopped looking to send people into space, and started concentrating on helping people on this Earth. This unique world, where God created life.

WOW Power Leveling - How To Power Level - Is It Too Risky?

Is Powerleveling Too Risky? That basically depends on one question: How do you want to powerlevel your character? Whatever your reason is for wanting to powerlevel your character, you need to find out what your options are. The bottom line is you want to get them leveled faster and you want to find out the risks involved in the powerleveling options that you have.

How Do You Want to Powerlevel Your Character? You basically have 3 options.

1. Pay for a Powerleveling Service

Why use a powerleveling service? One reason is that it is the fastest way for you to get past all the excessive and grueling hours it takes to level your characters so you can get to the fun levels. Most leveling services assign 2-3 people to your character who know how that specific class is played. Powerleveling is mostly done by grinding and sometimes by simple questing. Cost varies (and it can be expensive) depending on how much powerleveling you want done. One of the drawbacks of a service is that when you are not doing the leveling, you miss out on the game experience of leveling your own character.

2. Acquiring Used Accounts by Trading or Buying

Another way to get a character to a certain level would be to acquire accounts by buying or trading accounts. This would mean acquiring an account from another player who no longer wants his/her account. You can buy, sell or trade used accounts through a company specializing in this or you can use auction sites and forums to trade accounts. Trading accounts is however against WOW’s game rules.

Note that the companies that buy and sell accounts can be costly. Also, in regards to Auction sites, the trading market has been restricted by having the biggest sites recently closing user accounts and auctions that have WOW accounts for trade. Ebay, one of the first to start this concept, decided it went against the gaming company’s terms of service. There are still some auction sites out there but beware they may be filled with gold farmers. There is hope of another company launching an Ebay type secure trading site in the near future that will provide a safe and secure environment to buy, sell and trade accounts.

3. Do it yourself

You can power level the traditional way, by killing monsters (grinding) and doing quests and missions. This can be very time consuming and sometimes frustrating if you don’t know what and where the quests are, what quests to do and which to avoid. So to speed up this process, you can use powerleveling guides which will enable you to streamline the process by doing your own leveling and still have the experience of playing the game. There are a number of guides out there for Horde and Alliance but only a few good ones. The moderate price of the guides I can suggest (a one time fee with free updates) is definitely worth it.

What Are the Risks Involved in These Options?

1. Powerleveling Services

Having your WOW account banned by Blizzard is a potential risk. They have banned over 100,000 accounts due to powerleveling services. One way for them to find out about accounts being powerleveled is by tracking the IP address for accounts that are from China. This is where most if not all powerleveling is done. Another risk is having your account compromised. This is due to the fact that you have to give out your login name, password and the server you are on to the powerleveling service in order for them to powerlevel your character.

2. Trading/Buying accounts

There are many Forums where players go to trade accounts. Having someone take your account in a trade and give you nothing in return is a risk with trading through forums. Generally players post information about the character and account they want to trade and then complete their transactions while communicating through instant messaging. These forums can be filled with scammers who will take your account and then give you nothing in return. If you are going to trade, use only US accounts.

3. Do it yourself

The only risk to this method is spending money on a guide that is worthless. Pick a guide that publishes testimonials on the site. Make sure they have customer support contacts so if you have questions or problems there is someone to help. Powerleveling with the help of a good powerleveling guide is a very cost effective and safe way to powerlevel. You also get the pleasure of experiencing the game without wasting a lot of time doing it. This is by far the safest and fastest way to level your characters that will not get you banned.

Building That Muscle - Abs

A great six pack is the most sought after thing in the bodybuilding world, at least if the sheer amount of questions asked about ‘how to get a six pack’ are to be counted. Unfortunately most of these questions are also suffixed with the words ‘fast’ or ‘quick’, when the reality is that there is no quick fix solution for developing a visible six pack. It takes dedication and work, and if you’re not careful you will lose motivation. For those who are willing to work and put the effort required into developing their abs, read on.

Do not believe claims of ‘miracle’ diets or ’secrets’ behind getting a six pack in a week, or some such outrageous claims! Remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

The truth is that most people have already have abdominal muscles, or at least they should have if everything is functioning probably. However, in most cases the layer of fat around you stomach will cover them and conceal whatever six pack you have. The key is to lose the weight!

A two track attack will work best, combining aerobic exercise with weight training. Muscles will help as they help raise your metabolic rate. The more muscles you have, the better your ability at burning that fat.

Combine this with aerobic exercise, running, an exercise bike, or even dancing. An idea is to chose 3 days on which to do weight training and 3 days on which to do aerobic, and alternate between the two, giving yourself one ‘rest day’ each week’.

To enhance the look of your six pack, throw some stomach crunches, and other ab exercises into the mix.

Stick to the plan, stay motivated and eat healthy, and you WILL get the six pack you want!
