Dating - Never Ever Do This Blunder

I would like to share some interesting things with you today.
This is all about committing a big mistake and the worst part is, you can never figure it out that what went wrong.

So here is the rule.
Most men behave like a sweet puppy when they go around with the girls.
These girls, however, NEVER feel attracted to these ‘Puppy Types’.

So let us explain everything one by one.
This puppy type guy is who is always to do anything just anything for women.

He never knows if a woman is testing him.
This guy will tolerate every kind of behavior from women and do not even realize that women are not attracted to them.

The worse thing about it is, they remain totally ignorant even a girl uses them.
They just run after girls like a puppy does. They try to impress them with the gifts, candle light dinner.

Now let us tell you why it never works.
Well, always know that, if something is free, it is FREE and that means of value.

Girls prefer top date the guys who are sensible, mature and sensitive.
Even if a girl does not have much options, dating a puppy type guy is better than nothing stuff for her.

So what to do?
The simple solution is, stop behaving like that and try to act somewhat mature when you are with some girl. Learn the art of communication that will help you a lot.

It is not difficult, it’s not a magic. Anyone can master the art of picking up the girl. But for now, you need to understand how to avoid this common mistake.

Thoughts and Feelings of Being a New Mom - Again

Sitting here days after giving birth to my second child, my head spins with thoughts, feelings and emotions. I am not sure exactly how a person is suppose to feel after becoming a mother for the second time, I’m not even sure how she should feel after becoming a mother for the first time. However, I can assure you the two experiences are very different. With my son, I was overprotective, emotional, and scared. I remember coming home from the hospital and wanting everyone to just go away so I could be alone with him, hover over him, and not let anyone else touch him. Visitors came and visitors went, it seemed like they’d never leave. I remember thinking and so I’m told even saying out loud, “I’m really tired, I think I need a nap”, in hopes that they would get the hint and leave. My husband says at times I was on the verge of rude, and I’m not normally a rude person.

This time was different literally hours after giving birth to my second child, a daughter, I had a room full of friends and family, at the hospital I might add and I was literally sitting up in bed laughing my head off at their antics. After coming home, more friends and family flooded in and I just sat back smiling as they ooohed and ahhed over my daughter. It was not until the thought hit me that I was going to be caring for two that I even got the least bit scared. My husband was home for a week therefore; I had not yet experienced trying to do that on my own. However, as soon as the thought hit me, another one did as well, “If she can do it, I can do it.” She being all those moms you see in the grocery store, with newborn in the car seat and another child hanging on the end of the basket. I began to get a little more confident, I had completed other difficult tasks in my life, and surely, I can do this.

I have not yet discovered how I will make this all work, being that it is all still very new, however, I know that I will be caught trying to be the best mother I can possibly be.

An Exciting Career With Fashion Merchandising Programs

If you love fashion and design, and are considering a career or further education in the field, you may want to take a closer look at fashion merchandising. Fashion merchandising combines various aspects of design, marketing, sales, and even accounting skills. If you like moving at a fast pace with a variety of duties, there are many opportunities in the field of fashion merchandising that a college or education program can prepare you for.

A fashion merchandising education involves marketing fashion lines to retail stores, or even working with the stores themselves to market products directly to consumers. Fashion merchandising is a broad field, and can encompass positions such as fashion buying, where you will select merchandise for a retail store, and event coordination, such as fashion shows. Another growing field is visual merchandising, which involves designing the way the actual clothes and products are displayed, such as window displays and floor layouts.

While the fashion industry as a whole is very competitive, there is a lot of growth and opportunity in the merchandising field, because of the wide variety of assignments available. Although clothes may be manufactured all over the world, many of the sales related aspects take place right at home. This is also the type of career that may involved a variety of different job descriptions over the years, so if you crave change and excitement, it could be a good fit.

The best way to get started in fashion merchandising involves related education. A quality fashion merchandising program will be comprehensive and involve a large variety of courses. In addition to design, you will learn other key concepts, such as marketing and advertising. You will also learn how the fashion business works, and how clothing is manufactured and delivered to retail outlets.

There are a number of choices available when choosing a fashion merchandising education. Many colleges offer fashion merchandising as an associate degree, and some that even offer it as a bachelor’s program. There are also many schools that embed fashion merchandising within a more traditional marketing degree, which will give you a broader course of study in basic business.

Other options include attending a strictly fashion design school, which will offer merchandising as one of their programs. In addition, you can also study online, as many of these schools will also offer an online or distance education program, as well.

Choosing which type of school to attend will depend partially on your educational goals. Are you looking to make a quick transition into the field, and want a career-oriented education, or do to have a strong basic business and marketing foundation? Most schools will offer internships in fashion, so you can have an opportunity to get your feet wet in the industry. Whatever type of school you choose, you can be assured that you will be learning a great deal about fashion and the fashion industry, and will be preparing for a fast-paced, quickly evolving career in fashion merchandising.

How Do $7 Reports Stack Up Against High-Priced Information Products?

Information has been viewed as a commodity that can be sold for quite high prices. But, are these high prices actually leading to long-term profits? Or, can the higher volume sales of low-priced information products bring about greater profits for your infopreneur business?

The Rise Of The Big Buck Launches

During the Fall of 2006, extremely high-prices were being introduced to the market in mega-launches - one after the other. The myth being passed around in Internet marketing circles was that you should charge as much as the market would bear.

As e-books climbed in price from $37 to $67, and in some cases up to $97, it became painfully evident that what the market could bear was enough to seriously cripple many a hapless buyer. Suddenly, important information was priced out of the reach of the ordinary person. For those living in countries with lower monthly incomes, these greedy pricing practices were dashing the hopes of those who really needed good information.

High Prices Can Hurt Your Long-Term Goals

And, the high prices weren’t just hurting customers. They were also affecting the long-term prospects of many new marketers. They were trying to follow in the footsteps of the big-buck gurus, by selling e-books and videos for inflated prices. What they hadn’t taken into consideration was the reduced volume of sales that resulted from high prices.

Less people buying meant less qualified subscribers to mailing lists. Sure, the marketers could still pump out free reports to build their lists, but a non-responsive list built of freebie-seekers couldn’t compare to a list of high-quality subscribers who had already spent money. Those who opted in to lists merely to get their hands on a free e-book, were not so likely to convert to actual buyers.

The Coming Of The $7 Report

Then, in Spring of 2007, came the $7 Secrets script that led to the creation of quality reports that sold for only $7. Suddenly, marketers could create a quality report, sell it for a reasonable price, and get their products into the hands of many prospective customers. Selling a $7 report is a lot easier than trying to flog a $67 e-book — and you’ll sell a lot more.

Making Money From Volume Sales

With a $7 report, instead of low-volume high-dollar sales, you’re going to switch to less cash per sale and a lot more sales. Just like McDonald’s, you’re now benefiting from the profits of sheer volume of sales. And you know how many millions of dollars they make off the sales of a $3.49 hamburger.

Breaking Down The Barriers To A Sale

Prospects who don’t know you from Adam are much more willing to take a chance on your products — when they’re only risking $7. And, if you provide a high-quality report, you can showcase your abilities and expertise to a large, paying audience. Not a bunch of freebie-seekers, but a highly-qualified group of proven buyers who can be converted to customers of your higher-priced information products.

Getting More Back-End Sales

Of course, on their first purchase with you they are only spending $7, but they are testing the waters. Once they see that you provide valuable information and high-quality materials, they’ll come back and buy e-books, audio interviews, video tutorials, and full home study courses.

You’ll find that a good number of your $7 report buyers become steady customers — snapping up each new product you release to your list. This is how you create long-term profits in your infopreneur business.

Much Easier To Create

A $7 report only needs to cover one subject. By teaching one technique in full detail, or thoroughly solving one problem, you’ll have created a $7 report that easily meets the expectations of your buyers. Simply adding a few extras can leave your customers with the warm satisfaction of having bought a product that truly over-delivers.

You can create a high quality report — one which pleases your readers and builds your good reputation — in an afternoon. You’re not writing a book.

Can $7 Reports Build Your Infopreneur Business?

With a solid plan in place to market back-end products to the list you build, $7 reports can be a powerful technique for growing your business by bringing in many qualified paying customers. A mailing list built with these reports will bring you increased profits.

The Maze Of Debt Relief Options

If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, struggling each month to pay your bills, and feel like you’re drowning in a sea of debt, perhaps it’s time to examine your options for debt relief. So, you do a google search and are more confused than ever because of the various options available, each promising that their option is the best one for you. You try to do your due diligence but are just getting more and more frustrated and deeper in debt.

What is a consumer to do?

The best way, obviously, to get rid of debt is to attack the balance with the highest annual percentage rate first. When that one is paid off, move onto the debt with the next-highest interest rate. Always attack that high-interest debt first. On that debt, you want to double, triple, or even quadruple minimum payments. When you’re done with that one, move on to the next one. But what if you’re falling behind more every month, which is what the debt relief options are really designed for.
In this seven part series, I will attempt to shine a light of reason on the subject in hopes of providing you with the knowledge necessary to make an educated and informed decision, as well as give you the peace of mind that you desire to become proactive (finally) and take the action necessary to do something about your debt burden.

In part 1, I will briefly touch upon each option (there are really only five) and give more detailed descriptions in the following daily parts (2 through 6) wrapping it all up in the final part on day number 7.

Debt relief is possible, but it requires determination and research on your part. Once you feel comfortable and sign on with a program, stick with it. If you are using the services of another company to help you obtain debt relief, make sure you read the small print and check out their references. Ultimately, your credit standing is in your hands. Do not trust it to those who are not actively working on your behalf.

So what are the debt relief options available to consumers?

1.Declare bankruptcy. Not as easy as it used to be especially since the president signed into law legislation to toughen personal bankruptcy laws. Still, it is an option for some. Just remember: depending on which course of action you take, Chapter 7 or Chapter 13, it can have a lasting impact on your credit.
2.Credit Counseling Services. You know, those “non-profit” guys. Be careful as often all these companies do is get your interest rates reduced for a period of time, earn money off of your payments, and cause more damage your credit rating.
3.Get a consolidation loan. Watch out as this means borrowing from the equity you have in your house (secured credit) to pay off debt that is unsecured. Be sure of your future if you chose this option.
4.Debt settlement. With the services of a company who would arbitrate on your behalf, you can get real debt relief without the stigma of bankruptcy. Yes, your credit would take a bit of a hit but it isn’t the same as bankruptcy.
5.Do Nothing. Sure, it is an appealing option for some. You just have to screen all of your phone calls and dodge the collectors. But you cannot run and you cannot hide. Better to choose one of the first four options than this one!

When you’re drowning in credit card or other unsecured debts, these are really the only debt elimination methods to choose from. Of the five options outlined above (each has their own pro’s and con’s) there is only one viable option that gets you out of debt in the shortest amount of time, for the least amount of money spent and with minimal damage to your credit standing.

That option is Debt Settlement, or as it is also called Debt Negotiation.

This is the option where your total (unsecured) debt balance is negotiated with your creditors and a lump sum settlement is made. On average, the settlement is 40 - 60 percent of the balance owed, including any settlement fees. Program length is normally between 12 and 36 months and is the only option where your credit rating takes the least amount of damage.

Which is exactly what you want!

In part 2, we will examine what Debt Settlement is and why it is, hands down, the very best available option available to consumers.

Taking the Neighbor Out of Neighborhoods

Having just recently returned to my childhood neighborhood in Baltimore, I couldn’t help but notice how much things have changed since I left. Growing up in the early 60’s, I recall a much different neighborhood. Back then, much of Baltimore consisted of poor working class neighborhoods that were self contained units. In each neighborhood, you could usually find several schools, corner grocery stores, bakery, drug store, doctors, dentists, diners, and a bar on every corner. What you couldn’t buy at the local store was brought to you by A-rabs(people that delivered produce and other items on a horse and cart) and other industrious merchants. There were also many large businesses that provided employment for the working class people that lived in Southwest Baltimore. The neighborhood had character and many characters. One of them was Steve the Barber.

Steve had been at the same spot for about 25 years. His shop consisted of a corner rowhome converted into a barbershop. Steve’s place was always bright, and seemed bigger than it actually was because of all the mirrors on the walls. Steve would always greet you with a ‘Hi Sonny’ as he glanced over his ‘Mr. Magoo’ eyeglasses at you. Once in the door, you would sit in one of the cheap metal frame chairs waiting your turn for Steve to usher you into the ‘big’ chair. Steve’s speciality was a cut called a ‘Wiffle’. The cut was similar to what a G.I. gets in basic. All the hair clipped close to the scalp. Since Steve was about 80 at this time, it was a cut that he could manage without having you look like ‘Alfafa’ from the ‘Little Rascals’. Every once in a while he would nick your scalp a bit, and you might have a little bald spot here and there, but nothing that a young boy couldn’t live with.

Being young and haircuts not being one of life’s priorities for me at the time, it was usually up to my mother to remind me that I was getting a little shaggy and it was time to visit Steve. She would give me a quarter, and inform me that the quarter was for a haircut and not for sodas an other things at the store. Getting a haircut was not only a way to clean up my act, but became a financial bonanza as well because ‘Old Steve’ didn’t know how to count! He would charge 25 cents for a haircut and give you back 35 or 40 cents in change. A haircut and a soda and chips to boot. What a deal!

Looking back on it, I don’t know if Steve was suffering from what they call ‘Old Timer’s’ disease or was just a nice old man that loved his job and kids. Rumor had it that Steve liked to slip into the back room and nip on the bottle a bit as well. Whatever the case, the day came for Steve to hang up his shears and one day told us that his grandson would soon be taking over the business. He also informed us that the boy had decided to move the shop to the new shopping center out in the suburbs. We all felt a sense of loss after Old Steve left not only because we had lost our source of free haircuts but because Steve was like family.

Driving through the old neighborhood yesterday, I passed by Steve’s old place. It’s now just a boarded up shell. There’s no indication of the life that once occupied that building. The bakery across the street from Steve’s is also long gone. So have practically all of the local corner stores, and the new car dealership down the street from us closed up many years ago. It’s a neighborhood that has been dying for years. While renewal has come to many of Baltimore’s neighborhoods, our little neighborhood continues to exist on life support waiting for something to save it from the cancer that has been eating at it for several decades.

While change is inevitable, not all change is for the better. Looking back on my childhood and other times from my past, I sometimes long for things lost from those days. Maybe it’s just a natural reaction to growing older that leads us to romanticize the past, and perhaps see things as being better than they actually were. But I recall a time when people left their doors unlocked, I remember running down the street barefooted not having to worry about stepping on hypodermic needles. I can recall my parents sitting out on their doorsteps in the summertime and actually talking to the neighbors.

Although those times were hard in many ways, I feel fortunate to have lived back then. As I drive through the old neighborhood, I see kids running, apparently oblivious to the despair around them. I can’t help but wonder, what kind of memories will they have of their neighborhood?

Why Work For Yourself?

The question of whether to work for a company or run your own business is a difficult one to answer. It’s a dilemma that many people face in the course of their lives. Sometimes it happens right at the start, as soon as they leave school. Sometimes the question crops up after years of working for a company. For so many people the time will come when such a decision has to be made. We take a look at some of the factors that create this dilemma and some of the solutions that can be found.

Working for yourself in your own business can be hugely rewarding if you manage that business correctly. If you don’t, it can be a disaster. You can lose everything; your house, your family and your friends. That’s why the majority of people work for a company or in someone else’s business. It safer and more secure without the headaches that come with all the paperwork and organising that running the business entails. But is it really always so secure and rewarding to work for someone else?

The scenario goes something like this:

You left school and got a good job with a decent company. After a few years, you got married and had kids. You bought a house with a mortgage, a nice car and all the usual household paraphernalia. The usual things in life that most of us take for granted. Life was good, you liked your job and so you and stayed with the same company for twenty years. You rose up through the ranks but slowly and never attained the position you thought you deserved, but you were happy in that it was stable, secure and you didn’t have to worry about anything.

Then the company started to make cut-backs and started laying people off. You stayed because you believed your job was secure and you’d been there for so long it was a way of life to you. Your work schedule became more and more overloaded and stressful as more people left and you were filling the gaps. Before long you were doing the job of three people for the same pay. You found you were being put upon to work longer hours and even some weekends for overtime pay but getting no thanks for it.

In the end, it got so much your health began to deteriorate. You were never home so your family life also began to deteriorate. Your kids had grown up but were still at home and costing you a fortune. You were at the stage where you had to keep on working to pay the bills and keep the roof over your head but at the same time you were working so much it was destroying your life. You were in the classic no-win situation and there didn’t seem to be a way out.

Then it came like a thunderclap out of the blue. You’re boss made you redundant and paid you off. You went home in a state of shock, sat down and buried your head in your hands. It was all over. How were you going to keep up the payments on everything? Your wife was sure to leave you and the house would have to be sold.

You had lost everything.

Wait a minute. Had you really lost everything? Not yet you hadn’t.

You get yourself together, call up a few friends and acquaintances and start finding out what the job situation is like on the outside. You make a chance call to someone who is in business for themselves and they suggest that you try working for yourself.

That night, after you explained everything to your wife and she still didn’t leave you, you felt positive and even excited. You couldn’t sleep for thinking about all the possibilities.

The next day, you formed your action plan. You knew that you had absolutely no idea how to go about starting your own business, but you had friends who did. You set up meetings with them and sought advice. You hit upon a great idea that your friends backed you with and got things started. You had money in the bank from you job payoff, so you knew you could survive the first year of so until your own business started to show a profit.

The rest, as they say, is history.

That was a fairly generic failure to success story which is actually more common than many people think. It doesn’t come quite as easily as was just outlined because everyone will do things differently. Some will succeed and some will fail. Some will have to work extremely hard to make it work. Those are the successful ones. Others will sit back and wait for the money truck to pull up outside their door. They are the ones who will fail and blame everybody else for their failure.

Whatever the level of your success, assuming you have worked hard to achieve it, working for yourself has an awful lot of positives. Perhaps you gave up wanting to ever work for anyone else again because of bad experiences with employers who have consistently devalued the employee’s status, benefits, pay and job security over recent years. Maybe you got fed up working your guts out for peanuts while making someone else rich. So you left that particular rat race behind and did ok working for yourself. Maybe you’ve been up and maybe you’ve been down. But don’t you think it’s worth the struggle to be independent?

Teaching Attention Heeling with an Electronic Collar

In this article, I will go over some steps in teaching ‘attention’ heeling with an electronic collar. If you are not familiar with an electronic collar, or it’s operation, I would suggest that you attend a Tritronics seminar, or one given by someone on their professional staff.

People are constantly wondering how you can teach stuff like this in its infancy stages without a negative association to the electric collar. I want to make it clear that most of the high-tech collars that Tritronics makes are adjustable to suit the dog’s temperament. They can be adjusted lower than most dogs can even perceive. The easiest way to start this, is to kneel down next to the dog with a food treat in your mouth. When the dog is looking away, lightly tap him with the collar until he looks at you, then give him the hotdog. If you have a problem with the dog taking food from your mouth, or he’s a little rough, you can put your hand in front of your mouth with the hotdog or treat in it. The purpose of the kneeling, is that it simplifies the dog looking at you at this early stage—since you are down to his level. I would not give any command at this point. The reason for no command, is that the dog does not understand the collar yet, and has not had enough repetitions to link the “tapping” to the treat. We are trying to elicit from the dog, the motion of turning to look up at you when he feels the tap. In other words, ‘tap’ means ‘look up at me cause there is food up here’, and then you will verify it every time. If the dog is not looking at you, continue the tapping (low level ‘nicks’ of the collar are preferable).

Only the act of looking up at you, will make the ‘nicks’ cease, and the dog will be instantly rewarded with the treat. You can slowly raise yourself from the kneeling position, until the dog still associates the ‘nick’ with looking at you while you are standing, then you can cease the kneeling altogether. I would then start challenging the dog by ‘nicking’ at various times when he is not expecting it, and seeing that he knows to look up at you to shut off the ‘nick’, and get his treat.

Another good way to introduce this is to pack the dog’s dry food kibbles that are going to be his allowance at that meal, and take him for a walk. You can periodically tap him along the way, and as he looks up at you, give him a portion until he has had all of his meals worth. He will soon be looking forward to the tapping. Because of the distraction outside, you may find yourself going up a few notches because of the added excitement of the outside environment. The level that was working in the house may be completely ineffective outside, so you have to adjust accordingly.

When your dog starts showing that he understands the tapping, and is looking up when it occurs on a consistent basis, I would then overlay the “heel” or “foos”, or whatever command at that time. You do not want the dog thinking that “heel” means, “look around and try to figure out with that strange tapping is”.

The beauty of the collar is that you can completely disassociate yourself from the tapping, and when the dog is confused—–rather than a leash tug, you can happily get his attention back to you with whatever body language is needed. Your dog will soon know that the tapping is not just a random act, and that he, and he alone is responsible for controlling it. The timing that you can achieve with the collar is virtually unmatched in other methods.

Your dog has now had nothing but a pleasant beginning association with the electronic collar. You will soon see that dog’s tail wagging like crazy when he feels that tap. We now want to establish habit with that behavior. The dog now has a choice, and will learn more responsibility with his behavior. Also, I would further add learning to this by establishing the dog maintain the ‘heel’ position while you are stationary. In other words, while standing completely still, you should be able to say “heel” and the dog’s head come right up into looking at you. You may not be moving, but it’s still a ‘heel’ position. As the dog looks away, tap him with the collar until he’s back into position, then shut the tapping off and immediately replace it with ‘good heel’. If he turns away, discontinue the praise, apply the tapping and praise verbally with a ‘good heel’ as he comes back. This will continue while walking.

Remember that the collar is doing a lot of work for you, so it is totally inappropriate for you to ever have to raise your voice while using an electronic collar. Yelling should not have more meaning of a command, than it would in a regular tone. The electronic collar gives us the unique ability of raising the level of the collar to match the situation, while we remain the good guy at all times. This is a good initiation to the electric collar.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service

Consumer Credit Counseling Service

Legitimate consumer credit counseling services are not easy to find, as many of them have come under public wrath of late. A common criticism about credit counseling is that participating in such a plan ruins a consumer’s credit which also has led to charges that credit counseling is a marketing gimmick the lending industry makes use of. Probably it is for this reason the experts opine that credit counseling is ineffective. But one must not forget that credit counseling is not the same as debt consolidation.

In the forefront is the Christian credit counseling which is making a difference in this field not just by demonstrating genuine intentions but also by offering credit counseling in an affordable way to consumers. It helps consumers take steps to improve their credit.

A consumer credit counseling service has the goal educating debtors of different consolidation ways. Of which the secured debt credit is the one with which you can avoid unnecessary additional clerical costs and also prevent legal actions against you. In short credit counseling is designed to persons who are neck deep in debt.

The Statutory Bindings

If you are looking for information on nonprofit credit counseling agency Christian credit counseling is your natural first choice. Like all nonprofit organizations they have an obligation to educate and counsel the needy people. All nonprofit credit counseling agencies are bound by nonprofit corporation statutes and comply with state charitable solicitation laws. This is why nonprofit credit counseling agencies provide free services or at least charge minimal fees to recover their cost. It helps to keep in mind that appropriate Federal and Senate committees have taken cognizance of the profitable nature of some of the nonprofit credit counseling agencies.

In fact, for more than five decades now, nonprofit credit counseling organizations are helping consumers. Those providing assistance to consumers credit counseling and debt management services must keep your private information confidential. Rules are put in place to limit the fees a nonprofit credit counseling firm charge their clients. Californian licensed nonprofit credit counseling firms must file their financials with the statutory agencies regularly.

However, some community credit counseling services are setting precedence and are taking their services beyond expectations. If you act sensibly you can actually get free counseling and debt consolidation advice from them.

Here Are Some Helpful Steps

  1. List out all community based and nonprofit credit counseling services.
  2. Checkout their accreditations and business histories through their websites and testimonials.
  3. Talk to them before signing any documents.
  4. Don’t leave anything to ambiguity; get their and your obligations in writing.
  5. Take help from The National Foundation for Credit Counseling for researching about some credit counseling organization.

You must always remember, at the back of your mind that, credit counseling is a legal and ethical alternative to file bankruptcy. In any case, credit counseling is a viable option before meeting a bankruptcy attorney. For an industry having more than its share of questionable reputation, at least this is the only way out. In addition, for those consumer credit counseling agencies in the for-profit side of the industry, the problem is that the fees are rather too high and typically take long times to clear off the debt. Using PHP and MySQL to Develop a Simple CMS - Version 2

In version 1 of our simple CMS we introduced the following four files:

  • cms.sql
  • updatePage.htm
  • updatePage.php, and
  • index.php
  • Together, these files formed a very simple CMS, which you can download from the following address:

    http://www.computernostalgia.net/downloads/cms_v1.zip

In this article we’ll extend the CMS slightly so that the database contents are extracted and presented in the form (UpdatePage.htm). This will make it easier to edit the contents, rather than simply overwriting them.

In order to make this modification, updatePage.htm needs to become a PHP file. I’ve called it editPage.php because updatePage.php already exists.

Here is the contents of editPage.php:

    1. < html >
    2. < head >
    3. < title >Really Simple CMS< /title >
    4. < /head >
    5. < body >
    6. < h1 >Really Simple CMS< /h1 >
    7. < ?php
    8. mysql_connect(”localhost”, “root”, “password”);
    9. $result = @mysql_query(”SELECT contents from cms.page”);
    10. while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)){
    11. -$contents = $row['contents'];
    12. }
    13. ? >
    14. < form name="form1" method="post" action="updatePage.php" >
    15. Enter page content:< br >< textarea rows="10" cols="60" name="contents" >< ?php echo "$contents" ? >< /textarea >

    16. < input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Update Page" >
    17. < /form >
    18. < /body >
    19. < /html >

Most of this file is fairly simple HTML that doesn’t need explaining. However, the following bits of code are probably worth discussing.

Lines 7 through to 13 containt PHP code to connect to the database and extract the contents of the web page.

Line 15 contains a tiny bit of PHP code to display the contents in the form’s textarea. This line shows how easy it is to integrate bits of PHP code into lines of HTML code.

Remember though that in order to use PHP code in an HTML page, the file has to have an extension of .php.
