Magic is all about performance and creativity, so the rules of magic are extremely limited. But having said that, it’s vital that you follow the rules that do exist, as they’re designed to maintain the mystery and credibility of magic.

Break one of the four rules that follow and you’ll waste the hours of practice that you’ve put in to perfect the tricks that you perform. Oh yes, hours of practice are required to make magic tricks look convincing. That’s the fourth rule of magic, but we’ll come to that in a moment.

1) A Magician Never Reveals How A Trick Is Done

If you do a trick well, people will ask you how you did it. It’s guaranteed. But a magician never tells, because the moment someone knows how a trick is done, the mystery vanishes.

So resist the temptation to spill the beans. If necessary, perform another trick to take the pressure off, because the moment people know your secret, the time you took to learn the trick is effectively wasted.

There is of course one exception to the rule.

If you know someone who is genuinely interested in performing magic, and you can trust them not to spread the secret, give them all the encouragement that they need.

After all, new generations of magicians need to learn otherwise the secret of magic would die out.

2) Find The Right Audience

Your magic will have the greatest effect when you find the right audience. If people aren’t in the right frame of mind your efforts will be lost on them. So don’t just accost people at random and start showing them card tricks.

And once you find the right audience, don’t hit them with trick after trick after trick. If you do that, they’ll lose interest and the magical effect will be lost.

Philippians 2:5-6states, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.

Genesis 2:7, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God has always seen man on his level as his equal. How can God make something in His image and likeness and it not be equal to what it was made from. You are to have this mindset in you. You must, in order to rule over the darkness of this world and receive the riches of Christ in your life. If you do not renew you mind to this you will never see yourself as worthy to have His riches.

Let’s look at another passage of scripture to help you see yourself as God sees you.

Ephesians 1:17-2:1, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

You are not robbing God of honor by saying that you are His equal because you are in Christ Jesus, seated with him in heavenly places in his throne as He sits with His Father in His throne. This is God’s will for you. This is the good pleasure of His will, that you see yourself as He sees you. God raised you up to his level, you had nothing to do with it. He exhalted you there. So see yourself seated far above all the principality and power and might and dominion of this world and the world which is to come.

Ephesians 2:10, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Quit calling God your senior partner. Jesus said that he would send the comforter which is the Holy Spirit. The word comforter means called along side to help. You are a joint heir with Christ, not a sub heir. God is not senior partner in your life. You are! God can do nothing in your life unless you give him permission to do so. He is the source of all wisdom and all power, but he can not work if you do not let it. God said in Isaiah 43:13, I will work and who will let it.

He has done all that he can do for you. If there was anything else that he could do he would do even that, but there is nothing. He has set the standard for you to follow, but if you choose not to do so, there is nothing else he can do for you and through you.

But when you keep his commandments you and He can do all things together. You can raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, walk in abundant riches, walk in favor with all men, have victory over all you enemies and be called by all nations the one who the Lord has blessed. He will make your name great among the gentiles, the word says.

God’s way of doing things is not like our way of doing things. When you ask Him for that which is in line with his will, he grants it, but he does not use time as a factor as to when the harvest comes. Time means nothing to God as far as harvest time is concerned. He is moved by conditions. When all the conditions that govern the spiritual laws which bring your harvest are present, it happens immediately. Bang, there it is!

An example in the natural would be weather. Certain conditions must be right for a certain type of weather pattern to appear on radar. When those conditions are met it happens immediately. When the conditions for a tornado are right it appears suddenly. Learn this and ye do well with God!

The same thing is true in worship services. Some people have been waiting for God to show up in their church for years. Churches ask him to come, but it will never happen in a great degree until certain spiritual conditions are met to cause him to manifest himself.

It is the same in anything that you receive from God, weather it be miracles of healing or finances. Certain conditions that govern those laws must be present before harvest can come. It is up to each individual to get before God and find out what those conditions are. He will show you before you need them if you allow him to do so.

The truth is even though we do serve a supernatural God, God does not always act in the supernatural. Many of times God will use natural remedies to heal the sick. Although there are many times that one could easily testify of Gods supernatural divine intervention in their crisis. I personally can testify of God healing my body from immense fevers, but I can also recall times where God healed me via aspirin.

The Bible says that the ignorant perish for their lack of knowledge. The same Bible also says that the fool turn away from wise council and sees trouble coming and does not run. On the flip side of the scripture it says the wise will take heed from the warning of coming danger and he will adhere to the council of the wise. The reward for the latter is longevity.

What to take home….

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Although Paul’s intention of this passage was to encourage the Roman babies in Christ to live holy and grow spiritually, one could also use this passage to persuade Christians to honor their physical bodies just as they honor their spiritual bodies.
