Good-bye Good Girl, Hello Bodacious Woman

If you want to live your life as an exclamation rather than an explanation, it’s likely you’re going to have to part ways with one of your dear childhood friends. This person may have served you in a number of ways as a young child, but no longer supports you much as an adult. Think I’ve looked up your history in the where-are-they-now high-school yearbook web sites? Naah. My experience tells me this childhood friend is someone you know very well. She’s been with you through thick and thin. She’s your internal good girl.

The dilemma is that your internal good girl is no longer cutting it. Call me Lucy the 5¢ psychiatrist on this one, but my personal experience has taught me that being a good girl is no longer good enough for today’s woman in today’s world.

Time to say ciao to your inner good girl and hello to your inner Bodacious Woman!

It seems to me that most of us continue to be good girls into adulthood because we think there are no alternatives. On one end of the spectrum is the good girl, and on the other end, is the b-word, the bitch. There, I said it, as if you didn’t know. How can we not know? It’s the term all women fear far more than good girl!

I don’t consider myself a bitch and haven’t knowingly been called one, though if I were, it wouldn’t bother me, at least not now. You see, there’s something about a bitch that I respect: She sticks up for what she wants and makes no bones about it. From that perspective, I could wear the baseball cap a friend enthusiastically gave me with the embroidered letters B.I.T.C.H. and the phrase “Babe In Total Control of Herself” scrawled beneath. Oops, maybe I have been called a bitch! I guess I didn’t notice-we were having so much fun!

What I’m not so wild about is the bitch’s delivery or about how she abuses her power and influence to get what she wants, or about how she seems to be filled with anger most of the time. I just don’t want to live that way. At the very least, the negative undertones are an emotional quagmire that would scare small children and a few adults.

So, if being a good girl isn’t good enough for taking care of yourself in today’s world and being a bitch isn’t either, then what’s the alternative? Being bodacious, of course! Being bodacious can be thought of as a combination of the bitch chutzpa, good girl respect for others, and a huge splash of positive, spirited energy to boot!

Most women I know want to feel empowered. They like to be positive. The key ingredient to creating this powerful elixir is to be authentic. That means looking within and making you the reference point to how you see life, and making decisions based on your own internal know-how. It’s taking responsibility for determining your view of your world and how you’re going to act in it. It’s having the courage to be in charge of your life. That’s being bodacious

Use Of Ezines To Drive Massive Traffic To Your Websites

If you want visitors to find your website, you must advertise. Now, that advertising can take several forms. To save you a bit of time, I will list some of them such as;
search engines,
pay per click,
ezine advertising,
joint ventures,
having affiliates promote your site for you,
banners,
email blasts, and
free ads.

I am sure ezine advertising is a powerful way to build your business. Many network marketers or MLMS still prefer to pay for leads in order to recruit new members into their network marketing business. There’s nothing wrong with this, but I personally prefer to employ online techniques, which are just as effective, if not more so. Ezine advertising in particular is, in my opinion, one of the best ways of growing your online business. Listen… to make money, you have to promote your business… You have to get the word out! Ezine advertising is an extremely easy way to promote your website to thousands of people simultaneously and start making sales without experiencing rejection. With ezine advertising, you’ll never hear from the people who say “no” to your offer. It’s easy, painless and extremely profitable! If you want to start earning the big bucks that are available to you right now, then roll up your sleeves, make the commitment and start advertising your sales page today!

An ezine is simply a newsletter delivered in electronic
format, via email, to opt-in subscribers who have chosen to
receive it. The content of these ezines usually focus
on a particular subject, therefore, by identifying ezines whose
readers would be interested in your web
opportunity, you can access a highly targeted market through
paid advertisements in these ezines.

There are various types of advertising available in these
ezines, that cater for all budgets. Some ezines even
provide free classified advertising for it’s subscribers.
However, for greater results you will want to purchase
advertising space in these ezines. Generally, you pay for space to
place your ad at the top of the ezine, in the middle, or at
the bottom. It’s been proven that the higher up your ad
appears, the more exposure your ad will receive. Advertising
prices generally reflect this fact.

These types of advertising are okay, but if you want to see
dramatic results from your advertising you should purchase a
solo ad from the ezine owner. Solo ads are simply stand-alone
email messages sent separately from the actual newsletter
itself. They enable you to write longer, more detailed ads,
that promote your online concept, and will be
sent to every subscribed member of an ezine, ensuring that
your message gets the undivided attention of the ezine
subscribers. These types of ads are the most expensive but
they are the most effective.

For maximum success I recommend finding ezines whose readers
are likely to be interested in your offer, and subscribing
to the ezine first to see how good the content is, and how
often solo ads are sent out. Ideally you want to find those
that don’t send out solo ads too often, and those with a
highly responsive subscribers. This is important because
although the size of an ezine’s readership is a factor, it’s
the responsiveness of the ezine readership coupled with
the quality of your ad copy that will ultimately determine
how successful your advertising will be. So don’t just
target ezines with high readership, try out ezines of
varying sizes and test the responsiveness of each one.

A good way of finding out how responsive an ezine is is by
finding out from the ezine owner how soon your solo ad will be sent
out. If you find that it will go out almost immediately,
then you know that there isn’t a long list of advertisers
waiting for their ad to run, but if you find that there is a
waiting period of at least a few weeks, then you at least
know that advertising in their ezine is in great demand, so
must be quite responsive.

Finally, if you want to successfully promote your

opportunity online, then advertising in

ezines, particularly through solo ads, is one form
of advertising any serious online or web marketer should consider and I strongly recommend this method of advertising.

I am using ezine advertising regularly use ezine advertising as part of my overall promotion
strategy to build my online presence in the various programs that I’m
currently involved with.

Tattoo Parlours - Guidelines for Choosing the Best Tattoo Parlors

If you were going to invest in a piece of art, would you feel better about buying it from an accredited gallery which could prove it was authentic, or from someone selling it from the trunk of their car?

So think of the tattoo you are about to get as a piece of art, because that’s what it should be. Tattoos are one of the most ancient forms of body art, for which you will be providing the canvas. And because tattoos have soared in popularity over the past decade, there is no shortage of tattoo “studios” more than willing to practice their artistry on you. How do you separate the best tattoo parlors from the rest?

Let me confess. I have, for years, indulged in oil painting as a hobby. I have an easel, brushes, a palette, paints and mediums too numerous to count, palette knives, and even a smock. I have won a few awards in amateur competitions, and even sold a few pieces of my work. Does that make me a professional artist?

No more than owning inks, needles, designs, and renting a store space makes someone a professional tattoo artist. Before you decide to patronize a particular tattoo parlor, learn what a successful parlor should look like. If the one you are considering doesn’t measure up, take your money, and your canvas, elsewhere.

When you start looking for the best tattoo parlor, you’ll be able to tell a lot simply by paying attention to your first impressions when walking in the door. If you see clutter, overflowing ashtrays, dirt in the corners and dust on the furniture, will you really be able to overlook them?

Pay attention to the quality of the tattoo designs on display. Tattoo “flash”, all those design posters covering the walls of every studio, are, or should be, anyway, copyrighted artwork purchased from professional artists. Do they have the bright colors and clear definition of professional artistic prints? Can you see the copyright and the artist’s name?

If the flash you are looking at appears washed-out, and you can’t see any identifying marks, you may be looking at designs bootlegged from anywhere; the same people who sell traditional artwork or bootlegged movies from the trunks of their cars are perfectly capable of selling stolen tattoo designs. Any merchandise that has a market is merchandise which can be counterfeited, and the soaring popularity of tattoos has made tattoo designs prime bootlegging material.

If the shop you are visiting was willing to cheat legitimate artists out of the royalties they should be getting for their tattoo designs, will they be willing to give you full value for the money you spend on your tattoo? The best tattoo parlors offer new needles, fresh high quality ink, clean gloves, and artists who will spend all the time necessary to make sure your tattoo is the best it can be.

How is the lighting in the studio? At the best tattoo parlors, your tattoo will be done in natural light, so that you can judge how it will permanently appear. Or will it be done under fluorescent lighting, or in a dimly lit corner? Fluorescent lighting will heighten the effect of yellow and greens inks while graying the blues and reds.

If the studio’s cleanliness, flash, and lighting seem acceptable, it’s time to learn about their history. How long have they been at their present location and can they give you the names of some satisfied customers? Do they have a portfolio with pictures of their healed tattoos to show you? Do the artists know how to avoid scarring, or what to do if they see plasma leaking during the tattooing process? Do they even know what plasma is?

There are some terms you can throw around to find out how familiar a tattoo studio’s employees are with safety regulations. Asking whether they practice “Standard Precautions” will let you know if they are in compliance with the OSHA guidelines for controlling bloodborne diseases.

Standard precautions mean that the best tattoo parlors will have artists who sterilize their packaged needles and tubes in an autoclave before opening them for use. Any equipment they use on a customer, including inks, glove, razors, ink cups, and ointments, will be discarded after sue, and the artist will wipe down the work area with a virucide, to destroy any lingering germs or viruses.

The best tattoo parlors dispose of any sharp instruments in the same way that hospitals do, in “sharps” containers, and any other materials which have come into contact with blood in biohazard containers.

The simple rule is that anything which is exposed to human blood, in the best tattoo parlors, will either be disposed of or autoclaved after use.

It may seem uncomfortable, but you want your tattoo artist to treat you as if your blood were infectious. Even though you know it isn’t, you can’t say the same for everyone else who has been tattooed at that particular parlor. So the best tattoo parlors will approach everyone that way. Don’t take it personally.

If the person who greets you when you enter the parlor is reluctant to answer your questions on the parlor’s safety practices, and can’t refer you to another employee who will, scratch that tattoo parlor off your list.

And if you live in a state which requires its tattoo parlors to be certified, you are in luck.

In the U.S., only three states, New Jersey, Maine, Massachusetts, require their tattoo artists to be certified by the American Academy of Micropigmentation: http://www.micropigmentation.org/

And only one state, Oregon, has a state certification program. Oregon’s tattoo artists have to complete and pass a 368-hour training course at a state-approved training school. New Mexico, North Dakota, and Washington D.C. have no regulations on tattooing at all.

So if you’re in a state which is either unregulated, or only requires its tattoo parlors to pass an occasional Health Department inspection, the easiest way for you to find the best tattoo parlors is to look for those whose artists belong to the Alliance of Professional Tattooists. The APT admits only those artists who have educated themselves in proper tattoo safety.

Look at choosing the best tattoo parlors the same way you would look at choosing the best art galleries. You are buying artwork, and you, and the rest of the world will be looking at it for the rest of your life. The best tattoo parlors take pride in their work.

And you’ll probably be able to tell you are in one of the best the minute you walk through its door.

Are You Suffering From a Yeast Problem?

Candida Albicans, also often known as a yeast infection affects approximately 1 in 3 or 90 million Americans. Candida is a yeast and is part of the fungal kingdom. It is very widespread, often misdiagnosed, but it is manageable from the right approach.

Normally in a healthy body, Candida is kept in balance by the immune system and digestive system. When conditions change and they yeast numbers grow, the yeast bores through the gastrointestinal mucosa with its root like structures. This allows the Candida to pass into the bloodstream and it becomes systemic.

A main factor in what allows Candida to grow out of control is a weakened immune system. This can happen as a result of taking steroids or immune suppressing drugs.

Repeated use of broad spectrum antibiotics also allow the yeast to grow out of control. Antibiotics do not distinguish between good and bad bacteria. So while they are great for killing off an infection, antibiotics also kill off the beneficial flora of the intestine that usually keeps Candida and other yeasts in check.

Too much sugar and other carbohydrates feed they yeast and help it to grow out of control. The typical Western diet consumes far too much sugar which will greatly increase our odds of Candida overgrowth.

The high levels of hormones in birth control pills also lead to Candida overgrowth. These high levels of hormones damage the mucosal membrane in the vagina which allows the yeast to proliferate.

A lack of essential fatty acids can also lead to Candida issues. These essential fatty acids are found in oils like flax, fish, olive, macadamia and oils from other nuts and seeds. These good fats strengthen cell membranes which makes it more difficult for Candida to damage cells. Essential fatty acids also help to prevent yeast from spreading in the bloodstream and becoming systemic.

Candida is often misdiagnosed because it can manifest itself in so many ways. One of the most common symptoms and easiest to recognize is when it shows up as jock itch in men, or vaginal yeast infections.

Other common symptoms are depression, brain fog, achy joints, skin rashes, sinus pressure or sinus infections, constipation or diarrhea, thrush, headaches and mood swings. With so many common symptoms it is easy to see why Candida can be misdiagnosed and then treated in a way that may actually make the condition worse.

The most common treatment for Candida from medical doctors is the anti-yeast drug nystatin which is relatively safe. Some of the most common side effects are headaches and achiness that last for several days after starting the drug therapy. Other side effects include diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea and vomiting. This is not an over night treatment and can take as long as two years to work completely.

If you are apprehensive about taking prescription drugs to treat your Candida, or if you are one who simply prefers to take the “natural” course in healing health problems, there are options and effective ways to treat the problem.

Changing your diet can make a big difference in Candida management. Eating foods with anti-fungal properties can help, but what can make the biggest difference is following a low carbohydrate and low sugar diet. Since sugar feeds the yeast, cutting back on sugars can help to diminish the Candida in the body. One warning if you do cut down on carbs and cut out sugars is that there is often a “healing crisis” when you feel worse before you feel better. Usually on the third day of a cleanse, one may feel flu like or have a headache as the yeast starts to die off.

There are also herbs, probiotics and enzymes which work very well at killing off Candida and controlling yeast overgrowth.

Herbs like pau de arco, grapefruit seed extract, and olive leaf extract have all been proven to have anti-fungal properties.

Probiotics like lactobacillus acidophilus and other beneficial bacteria help to keep the gastrointestinal flora in balance. Supplementing these probiotics can help to replace and kill off the Candida that lives in the gastrointestinal tract.

Supplementing therapeutic enzymes work great at killing off Candida. They key is to supplement these on an empty stomach. If you take them with food they will simply digest your food, but on an empty stomach, the enzymes can get into the blood stream and find the yeast. These enzymes will actually digest they yeast on a systemic level.

If you suspect that you suffer from an overgrowth of Candida Albicans it is important for you to do your research and find the right program to address the issue for you.

Where to Put Your Tattoo - Choosing the Perfect Position for Your New Tattoo

Millions of people, in recent years, have tuned into the very special art of tattooing as a way to have something of permanent meaning placed on their bodies. You’re one of them, and you think having a tattoo would be absolutely mind-blowing, but you just don’t know enough about what kind of tattoo to get, or even more importantly, which part of your body you want tattooed.

The first thing you should decide is whether you want a tattoo that can be hidden. It depends largely on your own personality. If you approach the world with an “in-your-face” attitude, you may want a tattoo positioned so that will be visible most of the time.

On the other hand, if you are somewhat shy or just like to keep secrets, having a tattoo on a place you normally keep covered may make you feel unique, and even a little sexy.

And keep in mind that a tattoo which seems perfect to you when you are in your twenties may leave you asking “What was I thinking?” in later years. So don’t commit to a first tattoo positioned where you will be forced to look at it every day for the rest of your life.

Think about your social life. If it calls for you to attend very many upscale events, and you are female, are you going to want your tattoo visible when you wear a strapless dress?

But even if you are aristocracy, you can still can manage a tattoo. Lady Churchill sported a wrist tattoo which she simply covered with a diamond bracelet on state occasions!

Will having a plainly visible tattoo cause friction between you and someone close? For example, would you husband or wife see your tattoo as a come-on to others? If so, put it where it will be a secret for just the two of you.

Then there’s the work situation. Will your current or potential employer be OK with you sporting a visible tattoo? Many of them aren’t.

And then there’s the problem of weight gain or loss. The odds are strong that you will not remain at the identical weight you are the day you get your tattoo. And even if you do, the human body has an unfortunate tendency to reshape itself during middle age. A tattoo which looks great on the flat stomach of your 20s may be an embarrassment when you get middle-aged spread.

The same holds if you lose weight after your tattoo is in place. Your skin may become loose; how will that affect your tattoo?

You should also consider your pain threshold when deciding where to place your tattoo. The most painful tattooing occurs on designs close to the bone, like shins, elbows, and knees. If you are someone who breaks into a clod sweat at the thought of going to the dentist, you should probably limit you choice of tattoo locations to the more padded areas of your anatomy.

But once you’ve sorted through all the tattoo positioning pitfalls, you can get some visualization help at http://www.bmezine.com. They have several pages with photographs of recently completed tattoos which will give you a much clearer picture of how you might end up looking. The photos cover everything from foot and ankle to breast and collar bone designs of every possible size and intricacy.

Where you position your tattoo says nearly as much about you as your tattoo itself. So be sure to choose a spot which will let you enjoy your tattoo for the rest of your life!

A Few Tips on How to Design a Successful Website

Business on the internet requires a successful web site. A professional looking website is an important aspect of that success.

Pages need to load in 8 seconds or less. If pages take too long to load, surveys show, most people will not wait.

About 80 percent of all web site traffic comes from the eight major search engines. Be sure your pages are optimized correctly with proper META tags on each page, and submitted regularly to at least the major search engines monthly.

Be cautious about “busy” backgrounds that make text difficult to read and draw the attention away from the text. Background theme should be the same on each page of your website. Your website should be neatly organized throughout. Colors can affect a visitor’s mood. Bright colors often make people more cheerful or happy, blue and purple have a calming effect. Darker colors such as brown and black may have a depressing effect on your visitors. When deciding what colors to use on your website, choose colors based upon the type of effect or mood you want to create in your visitors.

You should use a minimum amount of animated graphics. Animated graphics can be distracting, and cause your website to loose its professional appearance. Animated graphics also can cause your pages to load more slowly, which is something you definitely want to stay away from.

The main page of your website should be very specific about what your website is about, what you are selling or offering on the website. Chances are if a potential visitor cannot figure out what your service or products are they will leave and not return.

Banner exchanges should not be placed at the top of your pages. The limit for banners on your site’s pages should be two, even one is best.

It is a good idea to include your contact information on each page of your website. Be courteous and speedy at replying to comments and suggestions, at least within 48 hours. Promoting good business relationships is an important aspect to your success online.

Use proper grammar and correct spelling. Check your site often for errors in grammar and spelling. Check your links often to be sure they are working properly. Several errors on a website page will make your site appear unprofessional.

Certainly it is important to design your site to be easily navigated. Place navigation links together at the top, bottom, left or right side of the web pages. If you have a lot of links, it is best to use text links that help your pages load quicker. Buttons will be fine for just a few links as they do take more time to load on each page.

Your company logo should be placed on each page and always have good navigational links on every page of your website.

If you use sound on your website, do not set it on “auto-play.” This can be annoying to your visitors. In addition, all web browsers are not the same. Try to view your site through different browsers and screen resolutions to see how your visitors will see your site.

Continually adding new content to your site will give visitors a reason to keep coming back. Visitors will learn that you always have something fresh and new.

Create e-books about your site and use them to market your site. Offer them for FREE to your site visitors and include your products or services for sale sprinkled throughout the e-books, always with your website link and contact information as well.

One of the top-selling products online is “information.” Provide your visitors with quality, informative articles. You can write your own articles or go to any of the many article directories and copy/paste articles to your site. Before using other author’s articles be sure to view the author’s bio box and copyrights to know how the article can be republished. Most articles you find in the article directories can be republished free as long as you include their bio box.

A simple, professional looking web site is the best start for success online.

Why You Want To Use Herbs Daily

To help your body heal itself naturally, and to optimize your daily health, here are 5 reasons why you should consider taking herbs and using herbal remedies daily.

1. Build Your Immune System. A healthy immune system goes a long ways toward keeping your body healthy. Herbal remedies help create and sustain a healthy immune system which helps your body fight off many common infections like the common cold, as well as cancer and other degenerative diseases. Some common herbs that help you build a stronger immune system are: * astragalus * ligustrum * reishi * nettle herb

2. Increased Energy. Unfortunately, today, we are bombarded with products and advertisers that lead us to believe that caffeine is what we all need to have more energy. But the fact of the matter is caffeine, in large amounts, consumed on a regular basis, does the exact opposite. It actually drains our natural energies, quickly, leaving us feeling poorly even disrupting our sleep. Herbal remedies offer a deeper, more natural, long-lasting energy. Here are some basic ways to increase your energy:

* Herbal energy boosters without caffeine. Natural energy herbs are effective in helping your body use more energy, more efficiently. Ginseng is a common and very effective energy-promoting herb.

* Kava, California poppy extract and chamomile tea are all muscle-relaxing herbs. Tension wastes energy and these herbs will help you release that tension and increase your energy.

Another great way to naturally release tension and help your body use its’ energy more effectively and efficiently, is deep breathing and stretching exercises, including yoga.

* Avoid sugars. In addition to depleting deep energy from your body, sugars offer absolutely no benefits to your health.

3. Better Digestion. The key to better overall health and wellness is digestion. Good digestion supports your immune system, increases your energy and even helps your body detoxify and strengthen.

4. Heart Disease and Cancer. The leading cause of death in men and women, heart disease can be counter-acted with cardiovascular-protective herbs as well as immune boosting herbal remedies. One out of 3 Americans develops some form of cancer in their lifetime. Again, herbs that improve the immune system can help avoid the formation of cancer cells and remove them from the body. Used as a daily cancer protectant and immune system builder, the herbs listed above can help you regain and maintain better health.

5. Responsible Health Care. Perhaps the most important reason to use herbs daily is to take control of your own health and well being. Herbal remedies have been around for centuries and have been called the “people’s medicine”. They can be as simple as growing your own in pots or gardens. They can safely and effectively be used daily in a variety of different ways from teas and tinctures to cooking, bathing and even applying directly to the skin for direct absorption. Even though herbs from your garden are unregulated, they are still much safer, and often equally if not more effective, than most strictly regulated drugs marketed by doctors and sold by pharmaceutical companies.

There Is A Lot More Out There Besides Myspace

Why is everbody only wanting to try and market on Myspace? There are so many other Grapevine sites out there like MySpace. Have you read the terms of service on MySpace? Talk about rules like another Nazi Gemany. There is rules forbidding everything in their TOS. I have done some research on social networking sites and visited them. I am so surprised that no one is trying to do any sort of marketing on them. These are all virgin territory.

I have joined some of these other Grapevine sites and this weekend i will spend more time on them. if they all have forums then I will start posting comments with links in my signature. The great thing about these sites is that they are not littered with profiles of Escorts, Hookers, and other’s. I have had so many comments post on my MySpace profile from these girls saying they specialize in entertaining men like me. I am not some lonely old man looking for the company of a young escort. Have you looked at the forums on Myspace, there is so much junk posted on there.

I found this great site which lists all the Grapevine sites with ratings from users. I think it is called SocialNetwork.in . Not sure what the .in comes from but it is a great site to find an alternative at. if you want to see a lot of results just visit Google and type in the following exactly “social network”,+directory . You can also try it with the s at the end of social network but when I tried it the results came out better without the s.

I would think that if you are a good ethical marketer that you might want to look at the alternatives. You would have so little competition. These sites can be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for marketers. Just stay away from using them for blatant SPAM. Post useful comments with links in your signature. Some people do this with the blatant SPAM and then we all lose even the ones with good ethics.

What Makes Really Good Writing Good?

Being a teacher of human nature, I have often been asked to help people learn to read and write consciously. Every sort of person you can imagine has asked me for this, from those who claim they have serious reading and writing disabilities to those who claim they teach English for a living. The following came out of a rather stressful discussion I once had with a fellow from the later category. This fellow was an English teacher who at the time was teaching an online class on English for English teachers.

How did our discussion come about? He had asked me to write something which he could use in one of his online classes. However, when I sent him what I had written, he sheepishly told me it was bad. Terrible, in fact. Which then prompted an hour long discussion as to what made something “good writing.”

During this discussion I asked him how he would grade something which used mostly one and two syllable words and no higher concepts. At least in the literal wording. (Something that Hemingway might have written.)

His answer? Not performing up ability in class. Wording too simple; grammar at times wrong.

I then asked him how he might grade something filled with foul language and slang. Something almost completely devoid of adverbs. Nary a “very” in sight. (Something Mark Twain might have written.)

His answer? Uses foul language, slang, too few adverbs, and so on and so on.

I then told him that the two writers I had been referring to were Hemingway and Mark Twain. Writers we both know to be two of the most respected American writers. At which point, he had an aha. We then continued our talk until it fully emerged in him that good writing not only inspires pictures in the mind of the reader. It also requires good readers reading it. Moreover, this holds true regardless of how the author deviates from acceptable norms.

After we hung up, I sat there trying to find my own words for what made good writing. What makes good writing? The following is what came out of me, and when this fellow read it, he told me his eyes filled.

His classes have never been the same.

Here is what I sent to him.

On Good Writing

“Good” writing is real.

“Real” writing is visual.

It is also complete, succinct, and descriptive. And blameless.

“Really good” writing is all these things, and can also inspire love in the reader.

You cannot feel delight and be unable to “see” a writer’s words. Delight clears the readers eyes and fills the writer’s words with the visions of the reader.

Be delighted and I promise, you will see the writer’s words.

After seeing these living words then, know the reader must pass on what is seen to another. Retelling completes the writing. Only then is the writing done.

Few people know this.

Even fewer know that it is they, as readers, who co-create the writing by retelling the words.

This makes readers very important. More important than anyone has ever suspected.

In truth then, “really good” writing requires a “really good” writer and a “really good” reader.

Be both.
