Have you ever dreamed of having a better life with loads of friends around you? Having great friends is part of the joy of life. However, without true friends in your life, it doesn’t matter how successful you are, life will seem dull. Since you only have this one life to live you might as well make it the best life possible. So how do you make more friends than you can handle?
There are many ideas and ways to do it, and all of them probably have some merit to them. But when you get down to it, all you need is the ability to heed the advice of Dan Reiland who once said, ‘How can you have charisma? Be more concerned about making others feel good about themselves than you are making them feel good about you.’ In other words, if you want to have a better life by having more friends, make it a priority to help others have a better life.
Of course, this isn’t always easy but if having more friends and a better life was simple then you would already have them. So here are a few ways that you can be more concerned about others.
1. Listen Your Way To More Friends And A Better Life.
Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and all you can think about while they are talking is what you are going to say next? This is one of the biggest ways to stop gaining friends. Instead of thinking of what to say, just listen. You will be amazed at what lending an open ear will do for your friendships.
2. Serve Your Way To More Friends And A Better Life.
Be generous to people with your time, efforts, and talents and you will have people swarming around you, wanting you to be their friend. If you hear of someone that needs assistance in something, be the first one to lend a hand.
3. Buy Your Way To More Friends And A Better Life!!
Ok, I don’t literally mean to buy your friends, but spending a little of your money can go a long way in making friends. For instance, one of the best ways of making someone feel better about themselves is to send them a card. Now this seems to be much easier for woman than men but men can find ways to do this as well. Buying someone a cup of coffee is a great example for men. You don’t have to go broke doing this but it’s amazing what a bit of pocket change can do to help encourage people.
So the key here to making more friends in your life than you can handle is to be concerned about them having a better life. Once you have done this you will find that you have so many friends you won’t know how to hang around with them all. So make a better life for yourself by helping to make a better life for someone else.
