5 Simple Keys To Success

If you want to succeed in life, here are 5 practical steps you can take to help you along the way.

1. Establish what ’success’ is for you.
For one person ’success’ may be earning $1000 a month, for another person it may be getting the executive position at the firm, for another it may be raising a successful family. Determine what ’success’ is for you. Do not base it on another person’s goals in life. If you do not establish what ’success’ is for you, you will never know when you get there.

2. Find your passion. Find your passion, work it and you will excel. It is so much easier to stay motivated doing something you are passionate about and to reach your goals successfully while enjoying the journey.

3. Determination. Anyone that has climbed to the top of a mountain has the fabulous view all around them of the surrounding cities and landscape, but they have had to climb the mountain side. It took energy, time and dedication. I am sure there were times they wanted to turn back, but they kept going. That is what success if like. There is a fabulous view when you reach the top, but there is a journey and a process to success. Be determined not to give up until you have reached the goal that you set for your life.

4. Train yourself. If you have average skills, you efforts with bring back average results. If you are skilled in an area that you are passionate about, you will be so much more inclined to be successful at it. Take a night class if you need to brush up on skills so that you can maximise the time you are putting into reaching success.

5. Treat other people right. No one becomes successful be themselves. You are going to need people to support and encourage you. Treat the people in your world correctly. Appreciate and thank them and when you do become successful, do not confess to have reached it alone. Acknowledge the people in your world. Success is great, but if when you have all the extra cash, you have no friends or family to enjoy it with, it is just mere printed paper.

Travel Like A Star - Hot Luggage For The World Traveler

When you travel the world, you want to do it in style. We all do. You really don’t want to throw all of your clothes in a Hefty bag and take off for Milan, now do you? Nor do you want to borrow the luggage that your grandmother got as a wedding gift. You want to travel in style with stylish luggage. You want to have something that will hold your belongings comfortably, yet keep your things as wrinkle-free as possible. With a little research and some bargain hunting, you should be able to find stylish luggage for world travel at an affordable price.

Don’t think about the routine rectangle suitcase right now, let’s go into other garment bags and accessories that can keep your clothing neat and organized on your jaunt around the world. If you are a frequent traveler for business or pleasure, these items are almost a must in your travel accessory department. Several small folding cubes can fit inside your suitcases and will help to insure that your clothing arrives with as few wrinkles as it was packed with. A suit bag can keep a man’s suit or ladies dress from becoming wrinkled by remaining in its hanging state for the duration of the trip. If you will remove the garment from the bag as soon as you arrive at your destination, this will help minimize any small wrinkles that may have gotten into the clothing during your long flight. A tie case, preferably leather, will keep your ties from getting wrinkles down the front of them and keep them organized as well.

Don’t forget to pack a compact travel umbrella in your handbag or carry-on luggage. You never know when it may be raining when you land in your destination country. Also, by packing a small travel alarm clock, you will never have to worry about missing that hotel wakeup call again. Also, when traveling to a foreign country, a money belt is a good investment in case of emergencies. By keeping a fair amount of money in your money belt, as well as a spare credit card, you will help insure that if something were to happen to you while in a strange country you can still afford to get back home with no problems. You can now find money belts is a variety of fabrics including nylon, silk and cotton. Any item that you bring that you plan to leave at the hotel should be locked in the hotel safe when not on your person. Any jewelry or any valuables of any kind would be best left locked up so as not to tempt anyone with stealing your priceless valuables.

In order to keep things better organized for yourself, it is best to pack in coordinating or matching luggage. If you have 4 bags and they all look different, it will be harder to remember your luggage and retrieve it quickly in the airports and other terminals. Matching luggage sets can get pricey, but there are quality sets on the market at discount prices. Remember that unfortunately, you will be judged by how you look and what is surrounding you, so when you are standing in the airport in Milan wearing cutoff jeans and flip flops, surrounded by 14 Hefty bags, you will likely not get the same welcome as if you had purchased a nice set of matching luggage and worn nicer clothing.

Post 9/11, airport security has been greatly heightened and there is a good possibility that your suitcase could be searched. If this happens, keep in mind that a well organized suitcase is not only easier to search, but easier to repack by airport security. Things like packing cubes and shaving kits will ease the repacking and also help you tremendously when unpacking and repacking at your destination. Small things like tie cases and laundry bags seem miniscule, but will be of the largest convenience in your world travels.

The best way to have stylish luggage for world travel is to make sure it matches and is organized. Organization is the key to much happiness in the world, and if you can start your vacation organized, then it is sure to remain happy and fun.

How to Transform Easter from a Commercial Holiday to a Spiritual and Meaningful One

As soon as Valentine’s Day is over, most pharmacies, grocery stores and departments stores change their merchandise to focus upon the next holiday sales event - Easter. It’s hard to miss the pastel-colored displays full of stuffed Easter Bunnies, candy and pretty spring outfits. However, Easter has little or nothing to do with these items. In fact, the problem with the celebration of Easter, just like of Christmas, lies in the fact that for many people it has become a commercial holiday rather than a meaningful or spiritual one.

It is possible to make the celebration of Easter a meaningful and spiritual again, however. In fact, it’s easy to transform empty Easter celebrations focused on Easter Bunnies, jelly eggs, pretty dresses and hats, and Eater egg hunts into meaning-full and spirit-full ones that focus instead on the original reasons the holiday is celebrated at all.

First, remember why Easter originally was observed. Easter is a holiday that commemorates Jesus’resurrection, which his followers believe occurred on the third day after his crucifixion some time in the period AD 27 to 33. It actually has nothing to do with Easter bunnies, chicks and eggs. Focus on this fact.

Second, spend your time studying Jesus’ life on your own or with your family rather than shopping for Easter gifts, which in no way really help remember the awe-inspiring history of this day. Jew and Christian alike will benefit from studying the teachings of this enlightened master.

Third, rather than engaging in Easter egg hunts and sitting around painting Easter eggs, do something spiritual and meaningful to remember this holiday. Go to church, join a study group, have a family meal where you discuss Jesus’ teachings and the meaning of his resurrection, create a sacred space or altar in your home and put items on it that make you think about Jesus or the principles he taught or the characteristics he possessed. Rather than engaging in Easter egg hunts and shopping, do anything that offers you or your family a chance to create a meaningful and spiritual holiday observance.

Sometimes it takes only a change of focus and intent to make a holiday that has become too commercial spiritual and meaningful again. In other words, pay attention to the spiritual and religious aspects of the holiday and discover those symbols, rituals, prayers, or observances that have personal meaning for you. Also, use the power of intention to help you stay conscious of these things. Simply intend to transform this Easter from an empty observance into a meaning-full and spirit-full one, and your intentionality will fuel the creation of what you want.

Getting To The Top

We all should be wanting to get better at what we do. If you want to succeed in life, here are a few practical steps you can take to help you along the way.

Tip: If you can get somebody to pay you to do what you are passionate at, you will love your job! So many people work 9 - 5 to get money and then have little time to do what they are really passionate about.

3. Determination. Anyone that has climbed to the top of a mountain has the fabulous view all around them of the surrounding cities and landscape, but they have had to climb the mountain side in order to enjoy the view! It took energy, time and dedication. I am sure there were times they wanted to turn back, but they kept going. That is what success is like. C. Quality. The quality of sex usually depends on how positive two people feel about each other. There is plenty of scientific evidence to show that good sex not only adds great enjoyment to our lives, it also improves our health and may even contribute to our longevity. But many people don’t even have any sex regularly, let alone good sex! In his book, Sexual Healing, Dr Paul Pearsall claims that the joys and pleasures of life and loving may provide something called an ‘intimacy inoculation’ which actually protects us from disease. Dr Pearsall, who cites numerous other researchers, concludes, “Growing numbers of physicians now recognise that the health of the human heart depends not only on such factors as genetics, diet and exercise, but also - to a large extent - on the social and emotional health of the individual.”

D. Unnatural. We are tempted to believe that making love is just doing what comes ‘naturally’, but, shrouded in secrecy, embarrassment and social conventions, sex is sometimes anything but ‘natural’. It can be a very awkward process for the uninitiated and the naive. Feeling insecure or inexperienced, we often carry the myths and rumours (due to ignorance), or the characteristics and expectations of the previous sexual experience, to the next encounter. This sometimes has disastrous results, especially when every partner is different in his/her preferences.

E. Ignorance. There are also many things about sex we do not know. Many people think that having sex is merely penetrative and conducted at a set time of the day or in a set room, but one author suggests, which I agree with, that when people feel deeply close while merely holding hands, they are actually having sex too, in a different form. When they show care for each other through hugs, caresses, and kissing, they are also having a satifying sexual connection. When two people in a crowded room gaze lovingly at each other in their own secret way, they are engaging in sex play, and all these simple forms of tactile sex can be most arousing and emotionally fulfilling.

This constant anxiety, particularly about our sexual expertise, haunts us because, if done well, the act of sex generates the most positive feelings towards our partners. In effect, it ‘makes love’ and making love is usually a natural, emotional experience and a crucial part of any relationship. Rarely is it just a physically pleasurable act, regardless of some people’s attempt to reduce its significance by putting it on a par with, perhaps, eating food! Without it, our species would come to an end and so nature finds the most ingenious ways of linking up men and women to ensure our survival.

Many people dive into home loan shopping without really realizing what they may be getting themselves and their families into. You’ve got bad credit, and you want to get a new home. You know it will be darn near impossible to get a good deal on a home with your bad credit so decide that the best strategy is to call every mortgage broker in town to find out what the rate of the day is. Is that the best way to get the best deal on a home loan?

Before I delve into what your options are, let me first define what a home loan is. Generally, a home loan, also known as a mortgage, is loan taken out by a borrower to purchase or refurbish a property. If the borrower fails to make his or her home loan payments, the lender has the legal right to foreclose on property that is used to secure the loan.

When you do get a home loan, you will have the option of choosing a fixed or adjustable rate loan. What’s the difference? A fixed rate loan has an upfront-stated interest rate that does not ever change over the life of the loan. An adjustable rate loan’s interest rate is linked to an index and fluctuates in tandem with that index. There are benefits and pitfalls for both options.

A fixed rate home loan is beneficial because you will never have to wonder what your interest payment will be, and if the index skyrockets, your interest rate will still stay put. However, interest rates may go down at some point in the future, and if you have a fixed payment, you will not be able to benefit from these changes.

An adjustable rate loan can be risky if you are not prepared for rate increases. If your rate is tied to an index that is unstable, you may be in for a wild ride. A lot of home owners who cannot afford their homes if they were to stay on a fixed rate mortgage are in distress now due to the increases in their mortgage payments as a result of their limited understanding of adjustable rate mortgages.

Before you shop for a home loan it is important that you speak with an objective third party in the mortgage industry who can share insider secrets on how you can avoid paying high closing costs, high interest rates and avoid getting ripped off my unscrupulous mortgage brokers, loan officers and lenders. Many of us live in different areas than the rest of our family. Many of us live several states away from Mom and Dad and there are some of us that require flight time as part of our holiday ritual. For those of us that have to travel to other countries during the holiday season, flying could be tougher than at other times of the year. Here are a few tips for world travel during the holidays.

First of all, keep your smiling face on during your airport experience. In the airport, the employees have all of the answers and they have all of the power. When you are already running late or sense the upcoming delay in your flight, it is easy to lose patience with these scrooges, but keeping your temper in check could be very beneficial. After all, everything that goes wrong in your life is not their fault, it just seems that way at the moment. Keep in mind that being super nice during a not-so-great situation could mean “free upgrade” and being not so nice could result in lost luggage, or even worse, a full body search as you are “randomly” picked out of the line.

If you have the opportunity, fly during off peak hours. It may be a little inconvenient to have to leave out in the middle of the night, but it could mean beating a huge crowd of people in the airport. Plus if you leave your home airport in the middle of the night, after the time differences (or the international date line) you may be arriving at your destination at a great time of day. Better yet, it could be discounted tickets for those “Red-Eye” flights.

Have something to do while you wait. Inevitably, on an international flight, you are going to have some delays here and there. It could be a four hour layover in Denver or a 30 minute wait at the gate for the boarding to begin, but waits are highly likely. If you have something to read or something interesting to keep your mind busy and occupied, those wait times will seemingly be cut in half. Plus, keeping your mind busy helps you to keep you patience, which takes us back to the number one tip of being nice to airport employees.

Keep security in mind. Post 9/11 security has been greatly increased on all flights, both foreign and domestic. In order to keep things moving smoothly, it is best for you to check as much of your baggage as possible and don’t pack things that you know will trigger an alarm of any kind. Wear shoes that are both comfortable and easily removed and replaced. Have all liquids pre-bagged and remove your coats or jackets before prompted. These little things will help speed the security process and keep your patience in check.

Traveling with children could make everything difficult. Keeping them happy is not always the easiest task on your list of things to do on your world travel. Think about how bored and agitated you get while having to wait in lines and in terminals, then how bored you get on the plane, then multiply that by at least 20 Ð that is how your kids feel. Keep them occupied with small, quiet toys, coloring books, handheld video games or DVD players, etc. What ever will keep their attention and save your sanity.

Last but definitely not least is to ship your presents. I know it may seem like you could save money by just packing an extra suitcase and putting it on the plane with you, but in the long run, it really will be easier to just ship the gifts to grandma. Ship them several weeks in advance so that you know they get there before you ever leave the states. It is much less likely for the gifts to be lost by the postal services than for them to be lost in the “realm of lost luggage” that we all have heard of.

I hope these tips for world travel during the holidays have helped you to keep in check that temper that you know all too well. Keep in mind that everyone in the airport has a family and friends that they would like to spend the holiday with as well. Keep your attitude merry and bright, and remember, Santa Claus is watching you!

The Secrets To Finding Hot Deals On World Travel

Most everyone has a dream of one day traveling to other parts of the world. Most people are halted quickly when they are given prices on world travel trips. With the internet and so many travel agencies in the market for your business, finding a good deal on world travel specifics such as airline tickets and hotel stays can be relatively easy. However, the truth is that traveling the world is still very expensive. If you do a little research and take the advice of this article, finding a good deal on world travel may be easier than you think.

Traveling cheaply has to be more of a way of life than a single event. When you learn how to get flights and hotels less expensively, you should transfer that knowledge into every aspect of your travel plans. For example, when planning your vacation several months in advance, check the prices for last minute flights to your destination at that time. If you find that waiting until the last minute to book your flight could save you a bundle, then you may consider that as part of your travel plans. Just be sure to be flexible in case you cannot get on the flight that you had originally planned. If you can apply this simple step to all of your flights, you may be able to travel to more destinations and see more of the world.

Make sure that you check around before you make any purchase regarding your world travel plans. Do not purchase the first airline ticket you see offered online and do not book the first hotel you find just because you think it seems like a good deal. Always check no less than three sources for every aspect of your vacation.

When you get to your vacation destination, speak with some of the locals. Find out from them the best places to go for a great dinner or even a less expensive hotel that is off the beaten path. The locals usually know the best small restaurants with great atmosphere that will not empty your pockets on one meal. Also remember that in many countries around the world you are able to bargain with the vendors for the prices of the souvenirs that you are taking home to grandma. Bargaining is not a normal way of life for most Americans, but if you are good at bargaining, then you can get some really good deals on great native merchandise.

You will find that in some parts of the world, you can even bargain for your hotel room cost and in some cases, the cost of the flight. Just remember there are tips in bargaining: Take your time Ð don’t rush the bargain. More than likely what you are bargaining for is not going to be sold in the next thirty seconds. Also, be willing to walk away. If you are willing to walk away, then you could possibly get a better deal. If you walk away and do not get a better deal, but you want the item anyway, be willing to return and get it at the lowest bargained price.

Bargaining is a chief aspect in finding a good deal on world travel. Being an American will automatically brand you as rich, even if you are not rich in your own country, therefore being able to bargain is essential in finding a good deal on world travel.

  • Hire a wedding photographer that gives you your negatives. This way you can make as many copies of wedding photos as you wish without having to order them directly from the photographer. If you choose a wedding photographer that will not provide you with the negatives immediately, find out how long they keep them on file so you can obtain them when they are ready to dispose of them.
  • Be sure to look at the photo packages available to make sure your wedding photos won’t cost $50 for a 5×7.
  • Hire the photographer to stay for the most important aspects of the reception - the first dance, cutting the cake, the bouquet toss, etc. - then send them home when all that is left is dancing so you’re not paying for their time.
  • Leather albums are expensive. Consider putting together your own album of wedding photos. Just be sure to use acid-free paper.
  • Ask your wedding photographer to work entirely with color film. Black and white photos increases costs substantially since they are often printed by hand.
  • Hire an advanced student from a reputable photography or film program to photograph or tape your wedding. Many students will charge a flat-fee.
  • Consider placing a disposable camera on every table at the reception for your guests to capture some fun moments as well.
  • Inquire about any assistants they may have as you are generally billed for their time involved as well as the photographer’s time.
  • Ask if the wedding photographer processes and develops their film and prints. Costs are generally higher if this aspect of the job is outsourced.
  • Check references. Beware of any photographer who insists that you pay in full before your film has been developed.

The Wedding Videographer

  • As with your wedding photographer, be sure to shop around when it comes to selecting a wedding videographer. Fees vary widely depending on experience and demand.
  • The length and nature of coverage plays an important role in price: how many cameras and camera operators will be at your wedding and reception, how long they will stay and how much editing does the wedding videographer estimate will have to be done. The least expensive coverage typically provides one camera and operator recording the wedding and handing you your wedding video at the end of the ceremony.
  • A good rule of thumb is to be prepared to pay at least as much for your wedding videographer as you pay for your wedding photographer.
  • Ask about the payment structure and whether there are any hidden costs. How much is the retainer? Under what circumstances is it refundable? Is it part of the total cost of the wedding video? Does it guarantee the date? When is the balance due? Decide what you’re comfortable with. These conditions may be negotiable. If you’re not comfortable with the financial arrangements, find another videographer.
The contract is how you and your videographer communicate. It’s where you come to an agreement and record what will happen with regard to your wedding video. Make sure that everything you want from the wedding videographer and everything he expects from you is written into the contract.

  • If you opt to capture your wedding on video, find a videographer that offers packages with one camera coverage and limited editing.
  • Consider asking a friend that owns a video camera to shoot the day for you and create your wedding video.

While realizing that wedding photos and a wedding video will serve as a lasting memory of your wedding day, it does not have to be a lasting expense. Use these tips to select a wedding photographer and wedding videographer that works with your wedding budget.

If you like the beach scene, there are many beaches to sample here in the states. Cities such as Miami, Dayton, Jacksonville, Malibu, and many cities in Hawaii offer great beaches for sunning and swimming. If you prefer leaving the country, you could always try South America. Rio de Janeiro has very nice beaches, however, the bathing suits are somewhat skimpy if existent at all. The Bahamas and other Caribbean Islands have wonderful beaches that beckon American tourists on a daily basis. Their beaches promise us palm trees and sandy shores as well as warm breezes and days of laziness and relaxation.

If you are a history buff, you may find that Pompeii is the place that tops your desired list of foreign locales. This location in Italy is the site of the great eruption of Mt Vesuvius some 2000 years ago. The city was completely destroyed, yet perfectly preserved by the lava that filled the city streets in an instant after the eruption. Seeing the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum (also destroyed in the same manner) is like stepping back in time to a place that time forgot. The history that lies there is more than we as Americans can ever experience in our home country. Also, while in Italy, you would have to stop by Rome and see the rich history of the Roman civilization and the emperors that once ruled the known world.

If you live for adventure, then and African Safari is probably tops on your list of things to do before you die. An African safari offers excitement and adventure, especially for those of us used to only seeing those types of animals on television. There are tour groups to take you on the safari and explain the animals and surroundings to the group. On a safari, you can see such animals as lions, elephants, monkeys and zebra in their natural habitat. Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania are just a few of the places that offer an authentic African Safari.

If you are more into winter sports such as snow skiing, then a trip to the mountains of Europe may be right up your alley. The advancement in safety over the last several years have made snow skiing safer and more enjoyable for professionals and novices alike. Downhill skiing may seem too advanced for some, and if so, cross country skiing may be more the thing for you. There are resorts and parks all over the world that offer trails for cross country skiers of all ages.

With all of these ideas for world travel, you are sure to find something to tempt your thoughts for your next vacation.
