Miles From Airline Credit Cards

Frequent Flyer programs were introduced by airlines to give extra benefit to their loyal customers and since then this concept of earning miles by enrolling in a Frequent Flyer program has come a long way and so have the options through which one can earn miles! Miles now can be earned from airline sponsored credit cards or bank sponsored credit cards. Airline sponsored credit cards are attached to a specific carrier while bank credit cards that offer miles can be used with various major airlines. Which option is best suited for one entirely depends on the individual’s choice and needs.

For every dollar you spend you can get miles for airline, hotel or car. But let’s just focus on miles from credit cards that benefit in getting those air tickets. Airline credit cards are beneficial for those people who fly with a particular airline which covers most of their destinations or routes. Also, if the airline has it’s hub in the city where you live or a nearby city then you won’t have an issue as all the common destinations or routes of yours can be accessed easily.

So as you spend, you accrue reward points which can be converted to miles which can be used to get free airline tickets, first class upgrades, other perks related to air travel such as free companion ticket with membership, lost luggage insurance, travel accident insurance which is covered by airline credit cards only and not normal credit cards. Often bonus miles can be earned through various other transactions, promotional schemes like these are introduced time to time by the airlines or the credit cards associated with the airline. Points that you earn while spending money with your card, is transferred to your Frequent Flyer account. The benefits that you can avail from these points and the number of points that you can earn vary from card to card. Other valuable benefits that you can profit from by choosing an airline credit card besides the point system are purchase protection, extended warranties, auto rental insurance and fraud protection.

Now once you have made your mind to go for an airline credit card then what all should you consider and check-

–Make sure that your credit history is clean and you pay off your bills on time. Because if you fail to make payments on time then airline credit cards charge somewhere between 5-6% higher interest rate then other credit cards.
–Make sure that airline you are choosing covers most of your common destinations because if the airline does not go to your common destinations then you may not be able to use your miles.
–The penalty for not paying your bills on time can have more than one consequence.
–Two things need to be checked - the interest rate on the airline credit card and the annual fees. If you have clean record of payments then you need not worry otherwise you should go for a card with lower interest rate.
–You can own two cards - one an airline card on which points earned out of purchases count and the other credit card for normal purchases, this way a large amount will not be accumulated on the airline credit card for payment.
–Never forget to read the fine print in the card’s terms and conditions.

If you search the net you will find many websites which provide a detailed comparison of all the cards and it is advisable that you do a comprehensive search before choosing a card. The selection of the card totally depends on your needs. But before selecting an airline card make sure that you can fly the same airline almost everywhere!

Sex. Sometimes it’s earth-shattering, other times it’s uninspiring. But one thing it shouldn’t be is consistently painful. We’ve all had those awkward moments, wondering if the discomfort we feel is simply a lack of-ahem-readiness or an actual symptom of something more serious.

“At some point in her life, almost every woman will have pain during sex,” says Hilda Hutcherson, MD, assistant professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center and author of Pleasure: A Woman’s Guide to Getting the Sex You Want, Need and Deserve. But that doesn’t mean you have to suffer through it. Pain is an indication that something’s wrong… and most of those somethings are easily treatable.

VAGINAL PAIN

Vaginal pain is discomfort during insertion and along the vaginal walls.

Medication.

If you’re taking a medication like birth control or an antihistamine, vaginal dryness can be a side effect. But don’t immediately assume that you should change your medication. “It’s hard enough to find a birth control pill that really agrees with you,” says Dr. Hutcherson. “So if dryness is your only problem, use a water-based lubricant. Incorporate it as part of foreplay: Rub it onto him, then have him rub it onto you.” But if sex remains uncomfortable or you find that the dryness is just one of several side effects you’re experiencing, talk to your doctor to see if she can prescribe another pill.

Lack of arousal.

“For a young woman,” says Dr. Hutcherson, “the number one cause of pain during intercourse is lack of arousal, most often because she’s not getting enough foreplay from her partner.” When you haven’t had enough time to become fully aroused before intercourse, the vagina isn’t lubricated, causing uncomfortable heat and friction as it is penetrated. Treatment is easy and fun: Just tell your partner you need more time and attention lavished on you to get completely in the mood.

Infection.

You could have a yeast or urinary tract infection, both easy to treat and not dangerous if taken care of right away. “A month ago, sex started to be really uncomfortable for me,” says Lesley, 24. “I assumed that the guy I had just started seeing was awful in bed. Luckily, before dumping him for lack of chemistry, I visited my doctor and found out that I had a severe yeast infection with none of the usual [white, clumpy] discharge signs.” A doctor will prescribe an over-the-counter or prescription treatment and, if you’re anything like Lesley, the sex after the infection clears should be back to “amazing.”

PELVIC PAIN

Pelvic pain during sex is not as common as vaginal pain, but is typically more severe and occurs with deep penetration, not insertion. If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, you should make an appointment with your doctor.

Endometriosis.

While pain during and after sex is a common sign of endometriosis-a disease in which the uterine lining that sheds during menstruation is trapped outside your uterus, causing pain and sometimes infertility-the most obvious sign is killer cramps. Which is why even though millions of women in the world have endometriosis, many aren’t diagnosed with the disease for years. There’s a “toughen up” mentality that some doctors have about pain,” says Mary Lou Ballweg, president of the Endometriosis Association. To better explain to your doctor how much pain you’re in, Ballweg recommends downloading a diagnostic kit from the Association’s website and tracking your symptoms. “Just don’t,” stresses Ballweg, “stay with a doctor who tells you the pain you’re feeling is ‘normal.’” Treatment for endometriosis typically starts with birth control pills and pain killers, but might also include surgery to remove the tissue.

Ovarian Cyst.

Cristina, 27, felt sharp, stabbing pain on her right side every time she and her fiance had sex. “I chalked it up to the stress of planning my wedding,” says Cristina. But the culprit was an ovarian cyst: a painful, fluid-filled growth on one of the ovaries which usually goes away on its own and most commonly occurs in women ages 20 to 35. (Smokers beware: You’re twice as likely to develop an ovarian cyst.) Cristina’s doctor checked the cyst with an ultrasound, recommended she take Ibuprofen an hour or so before sex and then rechecked her a couple months later to make sure the cyst was gone. If a cyst doesn’t go away on its own, it may need to be surgically removed before it bursts or “pops”-which can lead to infection and infertility. And if you suffer from frequent cysts, your doctor may put you on the pill or change your birth control to better regulate your hormones and keep you cyst-free.

Cancer.

If you have pelvic pain, don’t think the worst. “It is very unusual for a young woman to have a malignant tumor,” stresses Dr. Hutcherson. But although the likelihood of having ovarian, uterine or cervical cancer is slim, it’s something to ask your doctor about if you’re experiencing pain and irregular bleeding. More likely, the pain is resulting from a more common cause like one of the ones listed above.

Whatever the cause of your pain, be smart with your body. “Your sex life is an important aspect of your health and who you are, so it’s something you need to feel comfortable about talking over with your partner AND your doctor,” says Dr. Hutcherson. “You deserve to have a great sex life.”

We’ve all been in a pinch before - we need money, and we need it now. The problem is, how do we make money fast from home? There are a variety of solutions that can solve this problem depending on your skills, your time, your focus, and your effort.

If you need money immediately, the quickest way to generate that cash is to sell things you don’t need that are laying around your house. There are popular online auctions that you can list your items on, such as ebay, or you can gather your belongings and have an impromptu garage sale. This last idea might not be feasible if it’s the middle of winter so you may want to lean towards the online option or selling to consignment stores.

Another easy way to make money fast from home is to use the internet by participating in paid online surveys. Some companies will pay you for your opinions. Everyone has an opinion, so it’s an easy way to make money. You can expect to earn between one to ten dollars for each survey you complete with a good company.

For as long as the internet has been available, people have been making money by surfing the ‘net and completing offers for cash. Signing up for credit cards or purchasing an online zodiac chart can put extra change in your pocket. This is not a consistent way to make money; after you’ve completed an offer, you may not be able to do it again in the future.

People who are serious about making a full-time living from the internet typically run their own website where they either sell others products as affiliates, or sell their own products. While it might seem like a lot of work initially, the benefit comes when your website is set on autopilot. You can make money fast from home while sitting on your couch.

There are many options available to make money fast from home. Depending on your motivation, you may be able to generate cash easily when you need it.

They are all are unsecured cards with fairly good terms, unsecured cards with expensive fees and interest rates, and the last type is secured credit cards. Many times people with bad credit believe that they just can’t get approved for anything. The problem is they often applied for credit cards that just don’t accept borrowers with less than perfect credit.

The trick is you have to know where to look to find a credit card with a card issuer that accepts less-than-perfect credit scores. There are plenty of lenders out there who have credit cards people with bad credit can get approved for.

Want to get a bad credit unsecured credit card? There are several banks to offer unsecured credit cards. The terms very from low or no fees to fees as much as $300 to get approved for an unsecured credit card. The things you need to look for are fees that are charged upfront to apply, monthly maintenance fees that are ongoing, and high interest rates.

Some lenders offer unsecured credit cards to people with bad credit that have no application fees, and reasonable annual fees, under $50. In addition, your interest rates will be high on these products. However, if you want an unsecured card, and don’t want to put a deposit down with the bank to get a credit card, these types of unsecured products may be the way to go.

The final type of credit product is the secured credit card. If you have very bad credit, you can put a deposit down with the bank and get a credit card in the amount of your deposit. There may be some high application and maintenance fees, as well as interest rates, associate with this product. However, upon successful repayment of these credit cards, you get your deposit back. If you are unable to get approved for any other type of credit, approval for a secured product is virtually guaranteed because the bank has its security in the hands when it issues your card. You can use these cards to rebuild credit. Within six months, or maybe one year, you will have established much better credit and will qualify for better terms on other credit products.

The bottom line is that lenders for all of these products will report your credit card history to the three major credit bureaus. It’s a myth that people with bad credit cannot get credit cards. Credit cards people with bad credit can get range from cards with high interest rates and fees in two cars and that have relatively weak reasonable terms and fees.

There are a variety of cards available for people with bad credit. Credit cards people with bad credit may want to start with our secured cards.

It will depend on how bad your credit is what type of card you are eligible for. There are credit cards that are unsecured and have fairly reasonable terms which are available to people with moderately bad credit. Very bad credit, leading in the low 500s, means that you may have to apply for a secured card. The benefit of a secured card is that you are guaranteed approval, and also that you can use this card to rebuild your credit history. After as little as three to six months, you can start to see improvement in your credit score. At that point you’re lender may extend you better terms, or you can apply elsewhere for a better card.

If your credit is very bad, you may consider a secured card first. Credit cards people with bad credit can qualify for require a credit score in the mid-500s or better. If your score is lower than that, a secured card may be the answer. Many secured card lenders offer the opportunity to rebuild your credit history with a secured card. A secured card means that you put a deposit into an account with the credit card issuer. They then give you a Visa or MasterCard account in an amount equal to your deposit. That way the letter is protected, and you have a credit card that you can use to rebuild credit.

There are also options for unsecured credit cards, where the terms are not as expensive. Unsecured credit cards operate the same as regular credit cards, however. The fees and interest rates may be higher based on your credit. Still, it is possible to get a loan secured card even with bad credit.

The best option is to apply for an unsecured card with low fees. If you are turns down because your credit score is too low, then pursue a secured card. Make sure that the card issuer will report your credit card to the three major credit bureaus. And of course, make sure that you always pay your monthly bill on time and do not go over limit. A good credit history, no matter what type of credit cards people with bad credit are approved for, will result in an improved credit score and more options in the future.

How do you feel about your job or career? Do you truly enjoy what you do for a living? Or, are you like most people: dreading going to sleep at night, hitting the snooze button many times… barely able to face another miserable day at work?

Sometimes my life coaching clients will express feeling trapped in a job that they simply don’t enjoy, or worse, dread. This happens to all kinds of people in all types of professions. It happens to people who appear to have “made it” just as often as it happens to those just starting out on their career journey. It happened to me.

For a very long time, I felt trapped in a career that came with a lot of financial reward and status, yet left me unfulfilled. What I feared most was a loss of identity and pride. What would others think about me if I bailed out? Would they call me a failure? A quitter? A hopeless dreamer? I feared that I’d “never figure it out” and that years from now, I’d be in the exact same place I yearned to move away from, for lack of a decision or solid plan.

Can you relate to these career worries that I experienced? Many people can. In my belief it all boils down to distrust in ourselves, and a lack of knowing what really fulfills us. When we come up with some good ideas, fear kicks in. Fear reminds us that it’s not good to take risks, that we need security, that most people fail at “X” and we’ll have to work really, really hard if we expect to get anywhere.

One possible reason why you stay in the same job despite so many misgivings: you’re good at what you do. On the surface, your job gives the illusion of an ideal fit. Yet deep inside, you may have a secret dream of being laid off. Maybe you long for that magical opportunity. But then you wonder, ” Who is to say that the skills I have now will be enough? What else should I be learning?” And on the flip side you worry, “How can I possibly land a new job that pays as well as the one I have now?” Indeed, it seems that fear has you in its clutches: you are afraid to leave and afraid to stay.

And, that’s okay. It’s okay to have fear. Fear is a good tool with lots of great information. However, fear gets us in trouble when we allow it to take over and make important choices for us.

To be fulfilled, you must move through the fear. This requires awareness, risk, and perseverance.

Ask yourself: How did I arrive at Career Dread?

· Did your career choose you instead of you choosing it? Perhaps somewhere along the way you took an opportunity that seemed good at the time, yet over the years it lost its luster. Now you’re stuck because it’s all you think you know and changing now would be a crazy thing to do.

· Did someone else’s expectations choose your career for you? It’s what mom and Dad or someone else wanted. And you went a long with it so as not to disappoint.

· Did you go with what seemed easiest? Maybe a lack of trust in one’s own decision making ability is to blame. Or, perhaps you didn’t feel talented enough to pursue what you really want.

· Do you feel “there’s no looking back now?” You’ve spent your best years climbing the ladder - yet suddenly you fear you’ll give up before the getting gets really good. Perhaps its “too late” for you to make your real dream come true so you choose to live with regret and career dread.

· Do you feel overwhelmed? Do your conflicting talents and interests pull you in different directions? Are you unable to make a choice, and so you just do “whatever” to pay the bills?

Try this five step plan to open your mind to new career possibilities and “move through” the fear that immobilizes you.

Step one: Make a list of everything that you love.

Step two: Make a list of everything that you are good at.

Step three: Make a list of everything that you enjoy.

Step four: Now look for the patterns. Do any themes come up? For example, do what you love and enjoy involve the outdoors? Animals? People? Are your talents and skills related to using your hands, creating art, music, speaking, using your body? If your lists are long enough, you will see some patterns.

Step five: Now get busy and do research:

Search out every possible career that embodies what you love, enjoy and are good at. Search the Internet, look in the yellow pages, go to the library, ask friends and family members for direction. Interview people, gather facts and information. Involve yourself in activities related to your themes. Attend some networking functions, career workshops, adventure groups, writing clubs… whatever it is for you!

The key is to get into action! A big negative about career dread is it tends to suck the life out of us. It can make us feel depressed. Getting into action will not only help you understand yourself more and carve a career path that is fulfilling for you, it will get you moving again! Get outside, connect with people, surround yourself with your passions… engage yourself in the activities and experiences that you are curious and excited about. This alone will revitalize you. And, who knows. Maybe you’ll meet someone along the way who shares your passion, can mentor you, or support you somehow.

Want proof that you really can choose your career, instead of letting your career choose you? Below is a list of people who stepped into their fear and chose their own career direction:

Martha Stewart
Rachael Ray
Mary Kay Ash - Mary Kay Cosmetics
Debbie Fields - Mrs. Fields’ Cookies

Barbara Sher
Nido Qubein

Ray Charles

Because I’m a young woman working in the wine business, friends forever grill me for wine-buying advice. Whether you need wine for a party, to give as a gift or to share with a friend-all wine is not created equal, and each situation does require some knowledge and forethought. (Beyond which bottle’s on sale!) A little wine know-how really can go a long way-you’ll be able to tell by the impressed looks on your friend’s faces. Here are a few of my best tips for navigating your way through those rows of bottles. Cheers!

Choosing wine.
I know it’s tempting, but do not pick your wine by the cute animal on the label or the awesome bottle shape when cruising the wine aisles. Ask the clerk-you may just find a steal or delicious gem. If you’re dining out on the town, it’s the sommelier’s job to help you find the right wine. Put him or her to work. If you’re ordering by the glass, ask for a taste first. A good restaurant is always happy to accommodate. When in doubt, go for a name you can trust for consistent wines, such as Mondavi, Geyser Peak, Antinori, Peter Lehmann or, for Port, Taylor Fladgate. An internationally recognized winery can’t afford to let customers down.

A word on pairing.
Ladies, don’t get hung up on pairing your food and wine. If you don’t like the style of a wine that is “supposed” to go with your meal, you’re not going to like the wine no matter how perfect the pairing. But for those of you interested in a little experimentation, I’ve included some of my favorite pairings below:

Chardonnay: The most popular white wine in America, Chard grapes generally produce full-bodied wines. California, Burgundy (France) and Australia’s Margaret River all produce world-famous Chardonnays.

Foods to pair: grilled cheese sandwiches, vegetable lasagna, steamed lobster or crab, chicken tamales

Names to try: Louis Latour (France), Ruffino Libalo (Italy), J Lohr (USA), Kim Crawford (New Zealand)

Pinot Noir: Pinot Noir grapes produce elegant, food-friendly red wines. The most famous region for Pinot Noir is Burgundy, but Pinots are also produced in abundance throughout the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Foods to pair: anything in mushroom sauce, grilled salmon or tuna, pumpkin soup

Names to try: Dehlinger (USA), Mount Riley (New Zealand), Drouhin (France), Byron (USA)

Gamay: Learn this name, for it represents some of the best bargains in the red wine world. This fruity red is most famously the grape used in France’s Beaujolais wines, but Gamay is also becoming better known in California and Canada.

Foods to pair: potato dishes, spicy sausage, roast chicken, pizza

Names to try: Jadot (France), Preston (USA), Mommessin (France)

Cabernet Sauvignon: The most popular red wine grape in the Unites States, Cabernet is the one you’ll need to know to impress the average man. Most California cult wines are made from Cabernet or are Cab blends.

Foods to pair: pot roast, wild game, chicken and mashed potatoes, hamburgers and fries

Names to try: Joseph Phelps (USA), Penfolds (Australia), Clos du Val (USA), Montes Alpha (Chile)

Sparkling Wine: Champagne is sparkling wine, but not all bubbly is Champagne. Confused? In order to be called Champagne, a wine must come from the Champagne region of France. But that doesn’t mean that other bubbles are inferior. Great sparkling wines come from Spain, Italy, Australia and the United States.

Foods to pair: There are two types. For Blanc de Blanc, try popcorn, potato chips, caviar, bacon and eggs. Brut Champagnes are great with cheeses, fish in cream sauce and even chocolate chip cookies.

Names to try: Perrier Jouet (France), Iron Horse (USA), Gosset - pronounced Go Say - (France), Gloria Ferrer (USA)

So bring on those wine lists! Nothing says you know what you’re doing like recommending a Latour Chardonnay for your date to try with his steamed lobster. Keep exploring and expanding your wine IQ, and soon you’ll be recommending your own favorite grapes and pairings. California Cab with that casserole, anyone?

The information age is one of the most important things to happen to your dental marketing strategy. Having a great looking office, a great staff, plenty of training, and the most modern equipment does not guarantee that you will have a growing, expanding flow of clients who need your services. If you would like to tap into an existing flow of customers that are already looking for exactly what you have to offer, please read on.

The Yellow Pages : More than likely your dental marketing strategy begins in your local Yellow Pages. You know exactly how much you paid for that ad, and you also know that people who look in the Yellow Pages are ready, usually with money in their hand, to find someone to give that money to. But you have no idea if your client used the Yellow Pages unless they tell you or you ask them. What is your Return On Investment using the Yellow Pages ? It is probably a mystery to you and to anyone else who uses them. But what if you could get those same ready clients day after day and know exactly what you are paying for each opportunity to market your service to them ? What if they were just like the Yellow Pages prospects, with money in their hand ? Its a far better deal for you, the dental professional to be able to know what your Return On Investment is than to have to guess. Email marketing can give your dental marketing strategy this edge.

The Local Paper dental marketing strategy : More than likely you have advertised with your local Newspaper or Community Paper. This type of advertising is even less of a Return On Investment than the Yellow Pages. People do not read these to find a dentist. Plus, they probably are still “just looking”. They are less likely to have money in their hand like those Yellow Page readers do. You could do as well or perhaps even better job with handing out flyers on the street corner !

The Direct Mail dental marketing strategy : Direct Mail can be targeted to the higher income neighborhoods easily, but again, you have the same problem as you have with the local paper; folks just are not looking for dental services in their mailbox. You may get some prospects to call, but again, what is your Return On Investment ? That answer remains a mystery, unless you are willing to do some strict tracking. I kind of think that you want to focus on your practice, and not on tracking ad campaigns, right ? What if you knew exactly how much you had to pay for a certain amount of prospects who were already looking for your services ? Email marketing can give you this. Its easy to track, and has other benefits also.

Radio and Television ads are cost-intensive and have the same problems as the above methods. You just do not know exactly what your Return On Investment is. Is it better to get news of your practice out to the masses, or to have a marketing campaign that is laser-targeted, finding only those people who are already looking for your services ? Which method will make your practice grow more ? It is easy to do the math on this. If $1000 for one radio ad brings you 20 new prospects, you are paying $50 dollars per prospect who will hopefully become a client. If that $1000 brings in twice as many prospects, you are still paying $25 dollars to get them to call or come in. Your dental marketing strategy will be much more successful using email marketing because it is cheaper and gets those laser-targeted prospects who are already looking for your services.

Plainly put ; your dental marketing strategy is suffering if you are not participating in an email marketing campaign. But there is more…

For a little extra cash you can have a “special” and invite your past email customers to your office. Not only will it be easy, it will be FREE. Sending out your special to those on your email list is zero dollars out of your pocket. You can not do that with the Yellow Pages or any other type of advertising. The next cheapest way, sending out post cards to former clients is still about 11 cents or so. Email is free. Even if you call your former clients, you can get a machine/recorder. An email is still superior, because your former client already knows you and more than likely will open your email, read your special, and act on it. Having a “special” makes your email advertising Return On Investment skyrocket ! It also makes your dental marketing strategy extremely effective. I challenge you to compare any other promotional method to email marketing.
