Unsecured Debt Consolidation Loan - Is This the Only Option?

A very common type of debt is unsecured debt. Unsecured debt means that you do not have any assets, such as a house or a car, tied to the debt that can be taken if you default on the loan. In other words, the loan lacks collateral. The most common type of unsecured debt is credit card debt. People accumulate a large amount of credit card debt for various reasons, but most seek help to get out from under the mounting debt. Debt consolidation is appealing to a lot of people in this situation.

One way to consolidate unsecured debt is to get a debt consolidation loan. Often the institution giving the loan will have you tie it to something you already own, such as a house. This is not advisable because if you cannot make your payment, you could lose your house. If you desire to get an unsecured debt consolidation loan, the bank or other institution will often give you a high interest rate given the circumstances. This can be exacerbated by bad credit if you have had problems missing or making late payments in the past.

Another way to consolidate your unsecured debt is to seek the assistance of a reputable credit counselor. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for a debt management plan. This type of plan is not actually a loan, but a way to organize your debt payments. You will pay one consolidated payment to the debt management company who will distribute the funds to your creditors. This has the same convenience of one monthly payment but allows you to also save on fees on those accounts. You will be able to watch your accounts diminish as you make your monthly payments.

The advantage is that your eligibility is based on financial need. You do not need a good credit score to qualify. You could get lower interest rates and a new lower payment through creditor concessions.

The debt management plan in most cases allows you to pay off your debts in five years or less. Combined with some budgeting advice, you will be able to get out of debt and maintain financial freedom.

Everything You Should Consider Before Buying a Laptop

Have you thought about buying a new computer recently? Is your old desktop computer on its last legs? I recently had the same problem. My old one could be turned on before I went to bed and would just be booting up to use by morning.

I took a look at my bank account, seen I could afford a computer and decided that a new one was definitely a must-buy. I didn’t want to go back using a cumbersome desktop model, though. Their lack of mobility was more of a hassle than it was worth. So, I did some homework about buying a laptop.

Considering how laptops have improved so much over the past couple years, it’s no wonder that so many people are turning to laptops as their personal computers over desktops. While there are a number of things to consider when it comes to buying a laptop, you can easily work your way through knowing what those are by following these steps:

1.-Size Matters - Consider the size and weight of the laptop and how often will you be carrying your laptop. Your answer will help determine which size and weight will best suit your needs. If you will be carrying your laptop frequently, a lighter model will be to your advantage. The keyboard is another area to consider when buying a laptop. A larger laptop will have a slightly larger keyboard area. Keep in mind that if you worry about your fingers or wrists taking on too much stress from typing on a keyboard that is too small, you may want this to be a main factor in your decision,

2.-Choose Your Mouse - A laptop will come with a built in touch pad, an alternative to the mouse, whereby the pad is controlled by the user’s finger movement. For some people, this type of pad is uncomfortable and not easy to work with. Before purchasing a laptop, determine what mouse options are available. Test each one and determine which one best meets your needs.

3.-Wireless Options - When many people think laptop, they think wi-fi. No doubt people want to make sure that their laptop computer will be able to access the Internet with a wireless connection. Many try to account for this by ensuring that their laptop has potential upgrade options, such as room for an expandable PC card or a USB port. However, since so many laptop users are looking for wireless connections, many of today’s laptops come pre-wired for wireless Internet. All you need to do is activate your wireless Internet service, and your laptop will take it from there.

4.-Check for Ports - Peripheral equipment will be connected to your laptop through USB ports. You will make your life much less complicated by ensuring that your laptop has enough adequate ports. Connecting equipment such as printers, scanners, and digital cameras will be much simpler if you have the ports readily available. If you are not sure, thoroughly read the specs for any laptop that you are considering purchasing.

5.-Check Your Budget First - When buying a laptop, beware that you do not overspend. Create a budget and stick to it. When you think that you have found the laptop that you want, do not rush into it. Wait a day and check over your budget and see if you are still as excited about the laptop in the morning. If you still feel that it is the laptop that you want to purchase, then go for it.

6.-Know what you plan to use the laptop for - Sounds simple, but it will also define what is on the laptop you purchase. For example, if you are a professional looking to buy a laptop, not only do you need to insure the right software is on board, but you’ll need to make sure there is enough space to run it. For the personal user, do you plan to watch DVD’s or do you plan to use it for video games?

7.-Compare and then compare some more - When you are out there looking at the various laptops, make sure to take some notes about the various aspects of the laptop. Online research can really save you some time here. You’ll want to compare hard drive space, monitor size, drives, speed and other features that are important to your purchase. Not only are you looking for the best price, but the best overall product.

8.-Warranties are important - Warranties vary greatly from one laptop to the next. When buying a laptop, you need to realize that the most common problem will be with the screens, especially those that are LCD. Make sure your warranty gives you the best coverage from parts that may break down.

Women Are Attracted to Men with Sense of Humour

So is it really true that a man with a sense of humour can attract women easier? I believed that there is a connection between making women laugh and making women feeling a powerful attraction to you.

Attraction is not a logical thing, as it is mostly ruled by emotions. One of the best ways to attract attractive women is to be funny, and leads them to feel the emotion of being attracted to you. So why are women more interested in men who are humorous?

Women feel attraction for a very different set of reasons when compared to men. While men focus more on looks, women tend to focus more on personality, self-esteem, confidence level, and other intangible characteristics men possess.

Women like guys who can make them laugh, especially when a guy is deemed by them to be a no-nonsense and serious bloke. When a guy who is serious all the time occasionally jokes around and makes a woman laughs, she will feel the childishness inside him, and feels that he is not hard to hang along after all.

Most of the guys, who are successful with women, were not afraid to make fun of attractive women, and even challenge them, rather than keep on showering them with compliments. They will usually do all the above things in a very funny way.

When men attract women using their sense of humour and put it in a cocky way, women will feel that they are funny, confident, intelligent, and comfortable to hang out with, which of course are all the qualities that lead to women feeling attracted to men.

Therefore, if you are a man who is reading this article, try the technique of communicating to women in a funny and cocky way. Continue to refine and perfect the technique and you will soon find more women talking to you, hanging out with you, and be around you.

Sleeping Your Way to a Healthy Environment

I don’t know why Al Gore is making such a fuss about global warming. I can’t imagine anything easier that doing my part against it. All it takes is for me to go to bed and sleep! How many of you out there knew that? For those of you who raised your hands, you can put them down. You’re all liars.

All joking aside, it really isn’t difficult to fight global warming from your bedroom. It might take a little more homework and research on your part to find eco-friendly materials but it will be worth it. By selectively choosing bed sheets and blankets, a few fish will be thankful that they didn’t poison their water with cotton pesticides. In a remote forest, a tree is still standing thanks to a slightly used dresser.

While you may not be able to afford to go all-organic, here are some ways to help the planet from your bedroom from the pages of National Geographic. Some of the greener choices you can make on your next eco-upgrade:

–Natural-fill, untreated mattress or pillow topper

o-Conventional mattresses are made of petroleum-based polyester, nylon and polyurethane foam that, especially when new, may give off harmful volatile organic compounds, VOC’s, associated with upper respiratory problems. Some mattresses are also pretreated with formaldehyde-emitting stain- and water-repellents whose manufacture releases perfluorooctanoic acid, a likely human carcinogen according to an EPA advisory panel.

–FSC-certified box spring frame

o-When it comes to wood, the most verifiably green products are those that bear the Forest Stewardship Council, also called FSC’s, label. These woods are responsibly harvested from well-managed forests. Choose solid wood whenever possible, as glues that bind plywood and particleboard cores can emit formaldehyde and other VOC’s.

–Untreated, organic-cotton bedding

o-Conventional cotton accounts for up to 25 percent of the insecticides used worldwide, and the runoff from nitrogen-spiked synthetic fertilizers, as well as heavy metal dyes, kills aquatic life. Chlorine bleaching releases carcinogenic dioxins. Permanent-press and stain and water-repellent finishes can give off gas formaldehyde, and their manufacture releases PFOA’s into the environment.

–Natural-material area rugs and/or carpeting (installed with VOC-free adhesives)

o-Conventional wall-to-wall carpeting collects dust, allergens and toxins carried in from outdoors. Its finishes, adhesives and foam paddings can emit numerous VOCs, including formaldehyde and toluene. Area rugs can be washed and kept in place with a natural rubber pad. They don’t use VOC-laden adhesives, either.

–Natural-material pillow and/or pillow encasement

–Ethically sourced, VOC-free furniture (second-hand furniture, antiques, formaldehyde-free pressed wood, etc.)

–FSC-certified solid or pressed woods natural-material window treatments (blinds and curtains)

–Low or no VOC wall paints

–Window a/c unit with properly cleaned filter, if necessary

–Electronics turned off each night before bed

–Properly cleaned humidifier, used only when absolutely necessary

You can own an eco-bedroom just but being slightly green. I don’t mean painting your bedroom a new color, either.

Developing Multiple Streams Of Income Through Affiliate Marketing

Running a business is a challenge with all the detail it take to manage one, to succeed take dedication, and even then success is not guarantee. But just think if it were possible to have several business to bring in multiple streams of income, that would give you a better chance to succeed, since you would not have all your eggs in one basket.

With Internet marketing, this can be achieve, with the power of the Internet, the World Wide Web, with little cost or overhead. To do so, you need a computer and a Internet connection. The business I am recommending for developing multiple streams of income is affiliate marketing.

For one, it is perfect for a home based business, and from affiliate marketing program, it can be set-up to develop more than one income. What is affiliate marketing? It’s when a person is willing to promote someone else product, and when a sell is made, the person doing the promotion (known as a affiliate) will earn a commission for creating the sell.

To start the process, you need products to promote, I recommend Click Bank, Commission junction, Link share. All you have to do is sign-up, it is free, and in the process you will be given a link for you to use in your advertising. From these three affiliate network, you will have thousands of products and services to promote. From this resource you can produce multiple streams of income by promoting several products or services. NO need to search the Internet for products, Click Bank alone have 10,000 products for you to promote.

As you can see from these three sources, you can promote several products or services, to develop multiple streams of income, all you have to do is advertise. there are three primary method of doing this, paid per click (PPC) and article writing and blog.

Paid per click method is popular, the information on the net, promote this method of advertising. It is a process when you advertise through the search engine to generate traffic to the websites you are promoting. This method is not free, the search engine like Google and Yahoo will charge you per click when the link in your ad is click on.

The other method of advertising is call Article writing, in my experience the Internet marketing guru do not talk about or advocate this method of advertising. But it is a very effective process to generate traffic to the websites you are promoting. This method is free, and if you happen to have your own website and you are using it to advertising products of other merchants, with article writing, you will be building back links pointing back to your website, and this will improve your search engine position, and generating more traffic.

Another method of advertising to develop multiple stream of income, is to blog. It is and effective tool to use, when set-up properly, and it is free. Just sign-up at blogger .com, the process is easy, even for beginner. A blog is a website, and like any website it can be used to advertise different merchant products, and a blog can be optimize for the search engine to generate traffic to the merchants products you are promoting.

If you happen to own a website, all the better, it can be used to promote several products of different merchant at the same time. For example. say that you are advertising and ebooks on Internet marketing, many people are looking through the search engine for good information on this, through your website you can promote not one but several ebooks on the subject by different merchant.

With the power of a computer and the Internet, you to can develop multiple streams of income.

Mailing Message Tips for List Building

In my previous article I talked about automating your list building. In this article I’ll give you some mailing message tips for list building.

Mailing Message Tips

There are no hard and fast rules on messages but here are some basic pointers.

1.-Your first message must also include your incentive or details of where to get it. The message should be a basic welcome and thank you message.

2.-Try to be brief in your messages, though this is not always possible.

3.-Don’t hard sell your products and services. Build your relationship with your customers and then recommend your products and services.

4.-Don’t bombard your list with messages. They will get fed up and unsubscribe and may even flag you as a spammer.

5.-Do you need to have a full series of messages ready before you start? No, but you must at least have the first one…you can then build from there.

Let’s talk next about spam.

Never Spam Your Customers

Irrelevant spam is utterly pointless and counter productive. We all hate it. So, why do they do it? You’ll have to ask a spammer because I just don’t see the point of it at all. It’s just plain bad marketing.

Most computers and e-mail clients now have anti-spam software built in. You see, we are not spamming but providing a service to our customers. But what if an anti-spam filter thinks we are? Disaster! Our messages, that our customer has opted in to receive, don’t get through! All your effort down the drain!

Here is a good tip for your messages. Add the following right at the top:-

“YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS MAIL BECAUSE YOU SIGNED UP TO THE XXXXXXX WEBSITE OR XXXXXXX BLOG. THERE IS AN OPTION TO UNSUBSCRIBE AT THE END OF THIS MAIL IF YOU WISH TO DO SO.”

I think that makes it clear that you have opted to receive my message and can unsubscribe at any point.

There is, however, a very specific reason for this anti-spam message. Many mail clients (AOL for example) have an anti-spam button that makes it very easy for the user to flag a message as spam. People, when rushed or busy may well take that option without proper consideration. An easy way out, if you like. So, make it very clear at the start of your messages that they are not spam.

Think carefully about your messages and never spam.

Leadeship #2 - Putting Action Into Words

It is so easy to talk. After all, it’s only words. Yet, these same words can come back and haunt you in the worse way. As a leader, this is a fact you need to be aware of. If you have shared your personal values as a leader, than the logical next step is to ensure that you make good on it.

From this, you will understand clearly that “sharing your personal values” is not just a cliche. It is not something that you “do” for your speeches. Your personal values should be exactly that - yours. Everyone have their beliefs, their likes and dislikes. Whether you choose to share them with others is your perogative. However, it would be most unwise to try to create a false persona by blithely listing some “values” that you think others would appreciate.

Action speaks louder than words, and in the case of a leader, those actions can solidify or destroy all the goodwill and trust that have been built.

Let us go for a safe example. Kindness. That is a character trait. Must be kind to animals, that could be a possible personal value. Now, if this is really not a value that you hold dear to your heart, don’t say it. After a few beers, you go happily on your way, and then… you pat the dog, or you kick the cat? At a time when our guard is down, when we least expect it, our true values surfaces. It is bad enough to kick the cat, but there could be a million explanations and justifications. While that is bad, it is so much worse if you presented yourself as an animal lover, and then get caught in that despicable act. Kiss your leadership goodbye. You can still be “boss”; but you ain’t git no respect!

It is important to articulate your personal values, it is even more important not to be dishonest in any way about them. Some people are not even sure what their personal values are, and so find it difficult to articulate them. But when you ACT, your values shine through. So, be careful what you say. Your words are a testimony more powerful than you know. Your actions then become the final straw that will either seal that truth or break the illusion you try to create.

On final point, some leaders try to “walk the talk”. That is fine as long as the efforts are genuine. If you are building up new habits, if you are trying a new tact, fine. But never mis-represent that these are your already your values; your words, if not seen in action, mean nothing.

In the next installment, we will explore how a leader should “Have A Vision”.

This is the second installment on Leadership. The first one, “Leadership - Articulate your Personal Values as a Leader” is also published here at http://www.ezinearticles.com/.

The Christ’s Crucifiction

I am grateful to say that I was brought up as a Christian. I am one of the lucky people who know the truth behind Jesus’s death on the cross. There are people in this world who believe Jesus existed, but see him as just a prophet, who died to make a protest. This is not so. He died to take away our sin.

His ordeal began in Gethsemene, when he knew his hour had almost come and the human side of his personality was afraid of what lay ahead. I think the scene in Gethsemene, when he begged his Father to “take this cup away,” is vital to the story of the passion. We know that he was God’s son, and so, had a divine nature. It is very easy therefore, to believe that he did not feel things the way we, as humans, do. If Our Lord had not panicked in the garden, when he sweat blood and called on his father to not make him go through with the suffering, he knew was coming to him, many Christians would have thought that, though his body was being broken, his spirit was far away, and at peace. The conflict between the two halves of his personality, also proves that he always knew what was going to happen. He could have avoided being caught, but instead, he surrendered to the soldiers.

We know that Jesus, throughout his ordeal, was lucid and alert. When they had nailed him to the cross and raised him up to die, his words, at first, were not about himself and the fix he was in. He asked God to forgive the people who had tortured and crucified him, he was also concerned about his mother, and he asked John to look after her. He promised the repentant thief that he would be with Jesus, that day in paradise. It was only later, that his thoughts turned to himself. God The Father cannot be around sin. and Jesus had taken all the sins of the world on his shoulders, therefore, his father turned away from him while he hung on the cross. This is the most painful thing of all for us to think about. After all he had gone through, he did not even have his father to comfort him, but mercifully, that time came to an end and Jesus, after indicating that he was thirsty, gave up his spirit.

Crucifiction is a terrible death, invented by the Greeks and perfected by the Romans. I used to think that Jesus bled to death, but this is not so. The nails prevent the blood escaping to that much of an extent, as would the crown of thorns. On the cross, it is suffocation which causes death, as the chest can not expand to let air into the lungs. It is a slow, horrific death and it is widely believed that Jesus died from heart faliure, because of the blood and water which escaped from him when his side was pierced.

But the story did not end there. As every Christian knows, Jesus was laid to rest in a borrowed tomb, but on the morning of Easter Sunday, he rose again! This is the only point to the death of Jesus! His glorious resurrection and an end to the slavery of our sinful selves. Jesus was brave and he was loving, and anything we go through in our lives, he understands, because he has been there and got the T shirt. Thanks be to God!

Morning Confession from a Night Owl - The Liquid Paper and Brown Socks Confession

I confess. I am a night owl and last night as my husband was preparing for bed, I
noticed his socks had a strange appearance. He walked toward me where I sat on
the couch. I could not believe my eyes.

The first words out of my mouth were, “Do you have Liquid Paper on your socks?
He responded, “No. I’m doing the best I can with what I have.” I confess we’ve
had a lot of month left at the end of our money. I thought I saw white dots on the
toes of his dark brown socks. However, the white dots I saw were actually socks
shining ever so brightly through the holes in his brown socks. He responded, “I
wear two pair of socks to keep my feet warm.” Although embarrassed, my thoughts
returned to his socks. I remembered the ease of his industrial strength toenails to
slash through his socks.

Funny thought because what connection does Liquid Paper, an office product, have
with socks? Perhaps he had spilled some of the white correction liquid on his socks.
After all, he had just told me his shirt organizer had accidentally gotten wet. When
I asked him how, he said, “I accidentally forgot and left it in my shirt pocket when
I took my shirt to the dry cleaners.” Curious now, I asked, “What did you lose?” He
casually remarked, “Nothing much, really, just a frequent buyer card at a bookstore,”
the first tragedy for me, a book lover. He continued, “A discount coupon for a haircut,”
the second tragedy for me, a coupon clipper. Then he added, “Your business card,”
the third tragedy for me; the card was mine. He turned around and smiled at me as
he was obviously pleased with his answer. “It’s okay,” he said. “Your business card
probably had Liquid Paper on it, too.”

Taking Advantage Of Yahoo - Overture To Get Your Site Crowded

Pay for performance, shortly P4P, is the basic business practice that Yahoo (formerly Overture) invented. Foreseeing the explosion of Internet Business and the role of Advertising in that world, Yahoo entered the league earlier with performing devices much earlier.

Advertisements are necessary for attracting the visitors to a site thereby to getting an increase in sales. Yahoo provides an opportunity for the sites to place their ads that gets displayed when the user keys in a keyword or a keyword phrase.

When user types a keyword or a phrase, along with the search result, the advertisements get displayed on the right side of the screen. These advertising links undoubtedly attract the visitors to sites and increase their traffic. Even if only a fraction of the traffic gets converted into actual sales, this is surely an advantageous feature that sites look for.

Yahoo’s advertising principle is much similar to Google’s AdSense.

In Yahoo, when a user searches a specific keyword or a phrase, if you had specified the same keywords for your site, your ads get displayed. It is not necessary that your site should have been Search Engine Optimized. Just the match of keywords, your ads are shown.

But you need to pay Yahoo for this service. Yahoo charges a fee based on the number and nature of your keywords and the number of times your ads get clicked by the user. This expense is truly justifiable as your ads that pop up when a user searches for a keyword related your site invariably increases your site’s traffic, thereby sales and ultimately your profit.

Even third party sites would place your ads, if your site were related with their field of operation.

Placing Ads this way is undoubtedly a low cast but nevertheless effective marketing strategy, which results in immediate benefits on a large scale.
