How We Conceived And Delivered “The Top 10 Sales Articles”

From conception to launch - in less than eight weeks… That may not be a world record but it certainly felt like one!

Creating the “Top 10 Sales Articles” brand has been a fascinating and hugely rewarding experience that has brought me into contact with a number of people I would probably never have spoken to, were it not for this initiative.

It all began in December 2006, when I produced “The Top Article Directory Awards” on my blog with, I have to admit, my tongue very firmly in my cheek. However, that post created considerable interest and received a number of supportive comments, particularly after Chris Knight of EzineArticles, posted a mention on his blog.

Due to a very heavy workload immediately after Christmas, the idea was placed in the “Non-Urgent/Pending” section of my brain. However, it resurfaced during a casual conversation with an acquaintance in February and from then on, the thing just gathered momentum.

Before I committed finance and manpower, I decided to counsel people whose views I respected and who I hoped would be supportive - Chris Knight, naturally, David Bain of BuildYourOwnBusiness, Clayton Shold of Salesopedia, Greg Stewart of The Sales Community, Daphne Slife of The Sales Camp, Marnie Pehrson of IdeaMarketers etc. Everyone was extremely enthusiastic and so I decided to get cracking.

My own technical team at jfa were seconded, as I needed people I could trust to work quickly and the outline site design was completed in 48 hours. Then we needed to think about the logistics, this is what we came up with:

The primary objective is to provide a single location, where time strapped business captains, sales professionals and publishers can locate the very best sales related articles every week.
For authors, we offer a unique opportunity to showcase their work and benchmark the quality of their writing against that of their contempories and have it reviewed by globally recognised sales experts.

How does it work? - Each week we will research and evaluate sales articles submitted to all the main article communities including:

Best Management Articles, BuildYourOwnBusiness, Buzzle, Eyes On Sales, Ezine Articles, IdeaMarketers, Salesopedia, Sales Training Camp, TheSalesCommunity and The Sideroad

We will then effectively perform a cull until we arrive at the ten best pieces of work, which will be judged by members our panel.

The winner will be announced on site every Monday and a fresh set of reviews announced the previous evening on BlogTalkRadio (Every Sunday at 12.00 pm EST).

From the four weekly winners we will choose a monthly winner and logically, from the twelve monthly winners, we will select the Article Of The Year.

All overviews will remain on site in weekly and monthly archived sections, providing an ongoing reference point for visitors.

The Top Sales Experts Panel

I was familiar with a number of the experts, who are all globally recognised masters in their chosen field, but I was delighted to be given the opportunity to work with them all. They responded immediately to my invitation and, straight away, saw the potential and relevance of the project. In alphabetical order, they are:

Wally Adamchik, Joanne Black, Kevin Dwyer, John Boe, Jonathan Farrington, Colleen Francis, Joe Heller, David Kahle, Jill Konrath, Steve Martinez, Andrea Nierenberg, Terri Roulette McCartney, Wendy Weiss and Jacques Werth

The Final Piece Of The Jigsaw

Whilst I prepared a very long list of potential advertisers - because this has to be self-funding - there was only one name on my potential sponsor list, only one organisation I wanted to work with: The Sales Activator® and I was almost bowled over by the enthusiasm and excitement of its creator, Nikki Owen. Nikki is someone I have known and admired for some time and in her role as Managing Director of Trainique Ltd, she has demonstrated that she is not only a remarkable person, but also an extremely astute businesswoman.

So, there you have it - that is how “Top 10 Sales Articles” was conceived and delivered. I am very pleased to announce the launch on April 15th 2007, although the site will be live from Monday April 9th.

I’m originally from South Wales - my father was a scratch left hander, my mother also a left hander shot in the low eighties consistently. I started playing Golf at the age of 12 (I’m a right hander), my father would never play with me - explained it would hurt his game and just frustrate me - he did give me this advice.

If you are not going to be a serious golfer, and just play as a social thing to do with friends and business associates - don’t try to play with a full set of clubs, trying to pick the right club to play a specific shot ruins more games for the casual golfer than anything else.

This was his recommendation, A Three Wood For Tee Shot & Fairway On Long Holes, A 5 Iron, 7 Iron, 9 Iron, Sand Wedge & Putter (6 Clubs Total), become proficient with each of those clubs - you will be able to play with 95% of the people who play the game of golf for social reasons.

He also advised me on course management and putting, how to play a given shot on a specific hole depending on your distance and accuracy with each club, lay up - or go for it, and how to check my putting path to the hole depending on surface variations of ball rolls to left or right - and speed to stay on proper course to reach the hole.

So there are many ways to play the game, but the way that I was taught was both helpful throughout my lifetime and gave the game a sentimental feel.

Earl Grey Tea - All the Pleasure in a Cup

After the Chinese discovered tea five thousand years ago, it took another couple of thousand years for the tea to spread to the rest of the world. Botanical name for tea is Camellia sinensis.

Among possibly 1500 varieties of tea, my favorite is Earl Grey. Since I like the convenience of teabags, I always stick with teabags.

To make a perfect brew, one needs to store the tea bags or loose tea in an air-tight container at room temperature. One teabag is used for each cup, and freshly drawn boiling water is a must. This is because the water must contain oxygen for perfect flavor, and most of the taste is lost if the water is boiled more than once.

The specific fragrance and taste of Earl Grey Tea comes from the oil of bergamot. Bergamot is a small orange, a cross between pear lemon and sour orange. As a blend of Indian and Ceylon teas, this tea has been the favorite of many, even the nobility and the kings, for quite some time.

The Earl Grey tea blend is named after the second Earl Grey–Charles Grey–who served as the Prime Minister in Great Britain in the first half of the nineteenth century. Earl Grey Tea carries a couple of legends about its origin. One of the legends involves Earl Grey’s servant rescuing an Indian rajah’s son from a man-eating tiger, and according to another legend, a Chinese nobleman–after his son’s rescue by the Earl’s men from drowning–served the tea blend to Earl Grey.

Twinings sold the first Earl Grey tea to the British; although Jacksons of Pickadilly say they were the first ones who came up with Earl Grey at about the same time. I don’t know if Jacksons’ claim is right or wrong, but I like the quote under their logo by Kakuzo Okakura, which says: “Tea is a work of art and needs a master hand to bring out its noblest qualities.” This quote alone gives the tea a special character as if it were a person.

Besides Twinings and Jacksons of Piccadilly, many companies nowadays provide the Earl Grey Tea for consumers: Stash, Barrows, Yogi Tea Company, Bigelow’s, Pickwick, Numi Tea, Dragonwater, Tazo, Harney and Sons, Good Earth, Gevalia, Celestial Seasonings, etc.

In York, UK, several Earl Grey Tea Rooms spread out in the city. Some of them carry all the formality of the British teatime rituals. Although seemingly formal, these establishments are very friendly to the tourists. For Earl Grey Tea lovers like me and probably for Captain Picard of Star Trek, visiting York’s Earl Grey Tea Rooms has to have a constant place on the to-do list, but for today, a freshly brewed cup of Bigelow’s Earl Grey Tea will have to be enough for me.

Skiing - Essentials For On or Off Piste!

Whether you’re on your way to the white stuff for the first time, or you’re a seasoned skiier, there’s some things that must not be forgotten whether it be for your safety or simply your comfort.

It’s surprising what a difference just a little bit in the way of warming-up before you go on the slopes can make; 30 minutes of stretching exercises loosens your muscles and lessens the aches at the end of the day.

The right gear is essential too, of course; skis, poles, boots - if you don’t own them don’t forget to rent them, but they must be the right fit or you’re going to end up with extremely sore feet. Even your socks can make a difference; surprisingly, thinner socks can be better for comfort than thick ones.

Don’t forget a backpack. A learner may think, ‘What would I need one for?’ And ‘It’s difficult enough staying on my feet without having that on my back!’ but if there’s any problems while you’re up there, it could be a lifesaver - and save a broken bone or two if you land on it and it takes the punishment instead on you - if you’ve got a few emergency supplies in it.

It’s going to get pretty cold out there (just in case you’d forgotten) and if you’re intending to be going out all day you want to stay as warm as possible. You might think a hat’s going to make you look like a kiddies’ toy, but it’s well-known that you lose most of your heat through the top of your head. There’s some very funky ones about - who knows, you might even start a new fashion?

Snow can be pretty blinding with the sun shining down on it, in fact the UV rays on ski slopes can be over 35% stronger, so wearing sunglasses or goggles is a great form of protection. Flakes of snow hitting your eyes if you’re not so lucky with the weather are another good reason to have them. Sunscreen - at least SPF 15 - is a good idea too; seems illogical, but true, that you can burn when you’re freezing!

The type of gloves you wear is up to you; there’s plenty of variety on the market, it’s just a case of what you feel comfortable in. Leather perhaps, or those woolly ones that your Gran knitted you?

Ski helmets are becoming increasingly popular now, especially with the designs improving each year. They’re more fashionable, lighter, tougher, and in some cases can be used for multiple activities such as cycling and climbing too. They are compulsory in competitive skiing and some manufacturers are being given a high profile by professional skiiers. Although most countries don’t have legislation in place to make it compulsory to wear a helmet, it is well worth checking it out.

Have fun!

Hello to all my passionate golfers!

Today, I want to talk about the golfers that feels depress when the season ends, especially in the very cold North America country. I am one of them, particularly when I see the golf season going so fast from May to September because I know the snow is coming and it is the same problems for lots of Nordic golfers. I will start depressing because I know that if I don’t hit my basket every week, I will loose my golf swing, but like I told you in my biography, there is no problem that can not be fix, if you use a bit of logic.

Many of my clients always ask the same questions every spring “Why does it take a couple of games to get back on feet with this beautiful sport? Well the answer is very simple. Purely because you stop doing your pre-exercise before starting your game, you don’t practice you swing anymore. Do you know that if you played 90, this mean you have at least swing 180 times if you do 1 basic swing before you hit your ball. Golfers which play 10-15 games per year will swing nearly 2700 times! And you are wondering why does it take couples games? Now imagine the professional who hit 200-400 golf
balls per day before they even start their games. Many professionals’ golfers had to be operate for back pain problems. So why not playing during the winter in an interior golf.

Interior golfing is not exactly the same compare to a real golf course. However new technology has permit the industries to improve the spinning of the ball which fly almost the same direction, as if you would be on a course, using sensors all around the screen, that detect the backspin and sidespin of the ball. I have to admit that for putting, there is still some research to be made. Use interior golf that has sensors around the screen, because it permit golfers to play anywhere in the area compare to some who has little carpet sensors. However both will help you practice your swing during winter and
therefore reduce your handicap at the beginning of the season. You will have the advantage to play on the most beautiful courses around the world for a reasonable price. Just think about the Pebble beach club or the Maui golf course in Hawaii. This will help you regain all your joy during the cold season and putt yourself in a good mood.

Have a nice golf season.

Are you considering a move and want to learn more about the town of East Bridgewater, MA and what it may have to offer? Well, I’m here to help. I was born and raised on the South Shore of
Massachusetts and have intimate knowledge of many of the great towns that are in and around this area.

East Bridgewater is a small town with an estimated population of roughly 13,800 people and 4,650 households. It has that small town charm and very friendly people. Current Red Sox reliever Manny Delcarmen is a resident of the town and the high school boasts a very small, but successful marching band.

East Bridgewater has its own school system and traditionally ranks well academically vs. other towns in the state. High School students may also attend Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in South Easton, MA free of charge. East Bridgewater is also considered to be a very safe town with crime rates well below state averages. East Bridgewater, MA is close to Route 24 and is within an hour of both Boston, MA and Providence, RI.

All in all, East Bridgewater is a great place to call home and raise a family. Like all small towns, it’s important to identify a local real estate agent who knows the town if you plan on looking for a home here. Local real estate agents have knowledge of those special deals you just won’t find on the MLS or from agents who don’t really know the area. Best of luck with the search!

Hurt, Rejected Or Abused? – Overcoming Our Past Hurts For God’s Purpose

“Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah”. Judges 11:29

We’ve all heard stories of individuals who have overcome extreme hardship during their childhood years. Children of alcoholics. Orphans who never had parents. Loss of parents to a fatal crash. A childhood disease — all difficult circumstances to overcome. This article teaches us how to overcome our past hurts for God’s purpose.

Jephthah was a man who overcame his obstacles and refused to allow his circumstances to prevent him from becoming great in God’s sight. He was born to Gilead, a result of his father’s adulterous encounter with a prostitute. He was chased out of the country by his half brothers. He suffered as a result of another’s bad decision and not for any wrong he had done. “You are not going to get any inheritance in our family because you are the son of another woman.” Imagine the rejection this young man felt as he was cast away from his own family. Yet in spite of his families’ rejection, and possibly because of it, God used him.

This experience, probably because of his hurt, anger and determination to succeed, taught Jephthah to become a hardened warrior. Today he probably would have been part of a street gang. As he got older his reputation as a warrior became known to those in his country — so much so that when the Ammonites made war on Israel, the elders of Gilead went to Jephthah and asked him to be their commander. Jephthah had to fight off those feelings of hurt and rejection from previous years.
“Didn’t you hate me and drive me from my father’s house?” he responded. But God had a purpose for his life and he overcame his hurt and pain, and responded to God’s calling.

The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah as he did with many of the Old Testament judges, kings and prophets. Generally when the spirit came upon a person in the Old Testament, it referred to a special empowering of the Holy Spirit for a specific task or mission. But today, every Christian’s mission was determined when Jesus shed his precious blood on the cross. Our main purpose in this time is to tell others the Good News, and to bring them to Him. Unlike Old Testament times when God decided who would receive the power of the Holy Spirit, it’s now available to each of us to use and to guide us through our ministries.

Circumstances beyond his control forced Jephthah away from his people and into a life as an outcast. Today, both believers and nonbelievers often drive away or reject those who do not fit the norms dictated by our society, neighborhoods, or churches. Often, as in Jephthah’s case, great potential is wasted because of prejudice - a refusal to look beyond ill-conceived stereotypes.

We should look around to see if there are potential Jephthahs being kept down due to factors beyond their control. We know as Christians that everyone can have a place in God’s family. And it’s our responsibility to help those people gain acceptance for their character and abilities.
The Lord prepares each of us in similar ways. Some of our childhoods seem to have been harsh and born from a seemingly unloving God. However, the Lord knows our struggle and will make our life an instrument in His hand if we will follow Him with an upright heart. He does make all things beautiful in His time if we are willing to be patient.

If you are suffering from unfair rejection, don’t blame others and become discouraged. Remember how God used Jephthah despite his unjust treatment.

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Witnessing is difficult for many Christians. However thousands are starting to bring others to Christ through “Bridge Ministries”. We have been given gifts through our trials. Everyone has, or will

How Do You Find The Best Mortgage Note Buyer?

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /wwwroot/gphone-android.com/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1142

For those looking for a mortgage note buyer, the process can be daunting. Although there are many of them out there to choose from, they are not all on the up and up, and you could end up getting a lot less than you deserve. That’s why it’s important to find a reputable, trustworthy note buyer who will offer you a fair deal.

There are many advantages to selling your mortgage notes, as it gives you immediate access to cash that you can use for investment purposes, payments, purchases or whatever else you need fast money for. It always works out in your favor because money today is worth more than money tomorrow. It is also a guarantee that you will receive the funds, rather than have to wait for monthly payments for years and years; you never know what the future holds.

Reputable mortgage loan note buyers will answer all of your questions and spell out all of your options when it comes to selling your note. You can sell it in its entirety, which is the most common way, or you could sell a portion of it and still retain some of the monthly payments. This is called a partial. You should discuss all of the possibilities with your mortgage note buyer to figure out which works best for your particular situation.

If you are interested in selling your mortgage note, you should know what to look for when it comes to choosing the right mortgage note buyer. As we mention above, you won’t have trouble finding someone who will purchase your paper, but you want to make sure you’re working with someone who you can trust.

Here are some things to keep in mind when looking for mortgage loan note buyers:

1. Find out how long the buyer has been purchasing notes, and how many they have bought. You want to work with someone who has experience and know-how, not someone who just started buying notes yesterday.

2. In most cases there should not be any initial fees, points, closing costs or any other additional payments made. All of the costs should be included in the amount you are paid for your full or partial note.

3. As with any business transaction, feel free to ask as many questions as you’d like. A reputable mortgage note buyer will welcome these questions and be happy to answer them for you. If you don’t understand something, ask for clarification. If the note buyer doesn’t know the answer or is not being forthcoming, that is a red flag. An experienced mortgage loan note buyer will be able to answer all of your questions.

4. Make sure you get everything in writing, and go over all of the details to make sure everything you discussed is covered. This is your contract, so make sure you know what it says so you’re not surprised down the road.

5. Perhaps the most important thing when it comes to finding a mortgage note buyer is to go with your gut when making your selection. You should be able to tell right away if you’re comfortable or not, if you feel this is someone you want to work with. If you’re not getting a positive vibe for one reason or another, know that there are other note buyers out there. This is a big decision, and you should feel comfortable from beginning to end.

If you’re looking for a quick source of cash, finding a reputable mortgage note buyer is key. He or she will be able to purchase your entire note, or just a portion of it, at a price that you are both happy with. Follow the advice above and you can’t go wrong!

Pati Berg’s Book ‘Wife for a Day’ by Avon Romance.

I read the back of this book and was totally convinced it was for me. And trust me, lately it is getting harder and harder to do that. So at least the back of the cover sells this book.

But once I started reading it, what struck me was the amazing characterization done by this author. She really did a great job nailing down the characters and I’m talking about all the characters in the entire novel.

The book begins humbly.

Meet Samantha Jones, a 25 year old completely down on her luck. She has money troubles, a little bit about a big grave she bought for her momma without the knowledge that the man she was borrowing from was a loan shark. But of course, this was better than option two which was marrying a complete jerk who left a scar on her jaw when she said it wouldn’t work out.

And while you’d think this character would have some self-esteem problems, she doesn’t. She’s been brought up tough. So when life throws her another turn and she is fired from high end suit altering Antonio’s, she picks up a sew machine and goes to the last job she heard about, hoping only for the tip.

Samantha puts on the biggest front of her life when confronted by foul tempered milionaire rancher Jack Remington. His fiance breaks up with him, concluding that he really’isn’t any good. When confronted by the seamstress, he can’t help but think she would fit the bill of the fiance his sister hasn’t yet met. This could avoid some hurt feelings for his sister and he proposes a job opportunity to her.

With her loan shark expecting money any day, she doesn’t hesitate although her moral compass clearly says that she should. But times are tough and she goes for it, showing up at a ball where the elite with money meet to talk about this or that.

At first, she’s convinced she can put Jack and his sister in the same set but instead, she ends up finding out that they are both fairly down-to-earth.

And unlike other romances where you’ll find the central misunderstanding or premise cleared up by chapter six, Pati Berg doesn’t bother clearing this one up for a good long time. It makes the book more enjoyable and more over-the-top. The relationship between the main characters is also over-the-top with calamity abouding.

Join these characters for a great adventure where the author sprinkles in the past and shows how these two people developed.

One of the other things I’d like to point out without spoiling the ending is that there are butterflies in this book. Are you aware that butterflies are a message of hope?

With this book as my first from Patti Berg, I can’t wait to investigate and find out if she has anymore books.

This book gets the review of 4 1/2 out of 5 possible stars because there are details here and there that are confusing or aren’t cleared up.

Veronica Grant House is a veteran reviewer and has done countless reviews for her local paper. So far she has rated Kate Rizor’s novel ‘The Governor’s Wife’ as a total 5 and same with Carly Philips’ new book ‘Brazen’.
