Day traders look to use hourly charts within the day so they can trade with limited risk and get out with a profit.

When doing this they use a variety of technical indicators such as pivot points to help them.

Let’s see how intra day charts can be used to help make profits in forex day trading.

The answer is you cannot make profits consistently trading using intra day charts!

This is obvious to most people except day traders.

The Proof

The reason is obvious, but many novice traders fall for the hyped sales copy of vendors selling these forex day trading systems.

However, if you ask them for their real time track record you won’t get one.

Of course, you will get a hypothetical track record done in hindsight.

These show wonderful profits, but as the track record has been constructed in hindsight knowing the closing prices it’s not exactly hard to make money!

If I knew tomorrow’s closing price today I would be a multi millionaire but of course forex trading is not like that.

The reason why intra day charts are useless and day trading logic is flawed:

1. Consider this everyday trillions of dollars are traded by countless millions of traders all with different investment objectives and styles.
To think that this mass can be predicted in the time period of a few hours is laughable.

2. Most of these traders pay no attention to day or intra day levels the only people who do are day traders and their a tiny losing majority.
As these levels are not considered important, volatility can and does take prices anywhere.

3. It’s a fact that volatility within in any day is random.
It doesn’t matter what indicators you use, day traders are working with meaningless data.

4. Day traders who use intra day charts think that they can restrict risk, but of course they actually create it.
Their stop levels get triggered the majority of the time, as volatility stops them out.

When their lucky enough to get a winner, they don’t run the position and are grateful to get out with any profit they can.

So not only do day traders use meaningless data, they also break the fundamental rule of investing:

Cut your losses and run your profits to cover them.

Day traders to be fair do keep losses small ( and they have a lot of them ) but of course they can’t run profits to cover them.

What is the end result?

A wipe out of account equity.

If you want to lose your money quickly, their really is no better way then trading with intra day charts.

So why do so many people fall for day trading systems?

They tend to be greedy investors who think forex trading is easy, or novice traders who don’t know any better.

Day trading systems are sold by vendors who rely on attractive sales copy.

They tend to fall into two groups failed brokers or marketing people who have never traded.

Of course their not stupid enough to trade the systems they sell themselves - That’s why you never get a real time track record

They simply make money from selling the system and leave buyers to lose money.

They win, day traders lose, it really is that simple.

Get The E In Business Success Using Free Search Engine Optimization And Explode Your Web Site Traffi

As you will agree, running a home based business takes some degree of dedication and commitment. There are some very critical “know-hows” that you must get the hang of as soon as your e in business online. Anything from as simple as running an email campaign to as complex as getting the top ten ranking on Google search engine takes into focus some vital insight to avoid becoming the next internet marketing casualty. If you can as much as turn on your computer and check your email, then you’re in business.

But did you know that using organic and paid search engine e in business marketing can explode your web site traffic overnight!Literally!

First, let’s familiarize ourselves with a few frequently used terms used by webmasters. The two often repeated terms around the SEO circles are “first-time visitors and “repeat visitors”. Fairly self-explanatory, right?

Ok, now, believe it or not, according to Search Engine Journal (a web site that focuses on Search Engine News on SEO & Search Marketing) after checking our email, searching the World Wide Web is the next reason we come online! Mmmm, interesting fact.

People come online for all sorts of reasons. For example, according to Pew Internet & American Life Project, “60 million Americans say that the internet helped them make big decisions or negotiate their way through major episodes in their lives.” They also say that 73% of adult Americans are either shopping, pursuing hobbies or engaging in personal interest online.

According to Internet World Stats, the worldwide internet community has reached a staggering 1 billion users! Whew! that looks like the whole Indian population.

Here’s a breakout:

  • Asia 400 Million (36%)
  • Europe 300 Million (28%)
  • North America 200 Million (21%)
  • Latin America/Caribbean 100 Million (9%)
  • Africa accounts for 30 Million (3%)
  • Middle East 20 Million (2%)
  • Oceania/Australia 18 Million (1.8%)

With that kind of statistics above, are you now seeing what your bank account would look like if your were sitting right at the top 10 search results to meet these internet users with some solution to their problem? I think you got the picture now.

Ok, let us now see which major search engines are commonly used by our 1 billion users. Google is by far the search authority. In fact, these days Google has become the search mecca on the internet as everybody likes to ‘google’ their way to finding answers on the online. Yahoo! boasts second place followed of course by MSN with its new search page. The long and short is that Google out-class both competitors by leaps and bounds.

So how do I go about getting a traffic jam at my web site?

Well, this is where you have to prepare for some dedication and commitment I mentioned earlier in my preamble. Don’t panic here; if you can follow simple instructions and carry them out well, you are on track.

A great place to begin this exciting adventure is by using Wordtracker to do great keyword research. Keywords are basically the words you would type into the Google search engine to find for instance, “great Caribbean packages” where that exact phrase is your keyword to find just that, “great vacation packages”. Pretty simple, right?

BUT, bear in mind that millions of websites are online fiercely competing for top spots using, as mentioned earlier, organic and paid search engine in business marketing optimization, which means that you would have to find the most competitive keyword/s in your niche area to launch an all out attack and land your web site among the top 10 rankings.

There are three main strategies for competing consistently at the top 10 position.

They include:

  • Placing your best keywords at strategic positions on your web page. Hint: your web site address is a great place to start

  • Giving the search engine ‘crawlers’ or ’spiders’ one of their favourite meals to come hunt you down. By this I am referring to something as simple and yet effective as adding your web site to relevant directories such as dmoz.org for example.

  • Building an empire of relevant inbound links (links pointing from other sites back to your site) is a smart way to go. Think about writing content rich articles for your audience as one great way to do this. Articlemarketer.com, ideamarketers.com are greet places to publish articles, among many others of course.

Pay-per-click or Sponsored search engine optimization can significantly enhance your internet success, but, if used foolishly, they can dry up your bank account! No kidding, pay-per-click campaigns can either leave you whistling all the way to the bank or making an appointment with your mortgagor to consider refinancing your loan! Ok, that’s taking it a bit too far but there are dos and don’ts critical to your success.

Like anything else, you have to first determine a budget. Would you jump in your car/truck, drive to the supermarket, grab the biggest trolley, pack it navel high without first ensuring that you have enough funds to pay for the goods. So, how do you determine your pay-per-click budget? Not that difficult at all.

I won’t bother to burden you with that ‘next big thing’ here and now. Instead, I will give you some time to digest the foregoing and continue from here another time. In the meantime, take it from the expert, your can survive in business if you make up your mind to hang in there and copy the exact strategies the online gurus have used to capitalize on the E in business. (By E I mean extras of course!)

I am always on the lookout for new and innovative anti aging skin care products. I have personally reviewed dozens of the most sought after anti aging skin care packages in the world and recently had the chance to do a full review of the Revitol product line.

This product has become known for its top of the line image, mainly because many movie stars and wealthy people have caught on to the seeming fountain of youth Revitol appears to offer. This review is going to reveal all of the facts you need to know to make the most informed buying decision for your anti aging skin care package. Let’s take a look at what makes Revitol special in today’s market.

The Revitol anti aging skin care solution consists of three parts. The anti aging wrinkle complex treatment, the skin care hydration treatment serum, and moisturizing skin treatment cream. You have the choice of buying any one of the stated products or buying them as a skin care kit for a reduced price. Each bottle of product lasts for a full month. This makes the cost per day quite reasonable.

Now let’s take a look at what advantages Revitol offers over its competitors. I was quite impressed when I viewed the ingredients list of Revitol products. I found it to be high in potent antioxidants, vitamins, skin tighteners and essential oils — all of which have been proven to greatly improve the health of the skin and reduce the effects of aging.

  • VITAMIN E- Potent antioxidant, protects skin from harmful free radicals, soothes and softens skin.
  • VITAMIN A- Firms skin, renews collagen and elastin, smoothes out pigmentation removing age spots.
  • SQUALENE- Protects skin from free radical damage, slows aging process by shielding skin from harmful toxins.
  • SHEA BUTTER- Long known for its amazing moisturizing and regenerative capabilities, contains fatty acids which prevent drying, cracking, and burning of skin.
  • IDEBENONE- Proven antioxidant which has been proven to slow the aging of skin and protect entire body from a variety of inflammatory diseases.
  • HYDROLYZED WHEAT GLUTEN and CAROB- This blend has been shown to have a very synergistic effect when used in combination. First penetrates deeply into skin and then tightens skin. Great for relieving wrinkles.
  • HYALURONIC ACID- Important component found in high concentration within healthy skin, most people suffer from low levels of this critical acid. Acts to lubricate the three layers of skin thereby reducing inflammation and wrinkling.
  • EVENING PRIMROSE OIL- anti inflammatory, improves texture of skin, prevents wrinkles, relaxes skin, improves cell membranes.
  • EDELWEIS EXTRACT- Prevents ultra violet damage, antioxidant protects against toxins and other pollutants, slows skin aging.
  • DMAE- Helps heal acne scars, improves skin tone and firmness, DMAE levels are high in young skin and low in older skin, replenishes supply thereby removing years of aging.
  • ARGIRELINE- Made from naturally occurring amino acids, relaxes facial muscles by regulating release of neurotransmitters responsible for muscle tension. This relaxing removes facial wrinkles because the muscles stop pulling on the skin.
  • DERMOX- restores surface of skin, increases synthesis of collagen.

Obviously, Revitol offers quite a robust ingredient package. It is rare to find such a complete and high quality combination of high-end components brought together into one package.

But let’s look at what really counts: Results. Does Revitol’s exotic ingredient package give it what is necessary for real results? My answer is a definite yes. I have been very impressed by the results I have noted from Revitol’s three part product line. Each individual product offers unique benefits, and in combination they are quite amazing at reducing the effects of aging.

This product has proven itself to be a real winner in my eyes. I have never tested anything that offers such noticeable results in such a quick amount of time. You can literally notice a difference on the very first day. By day six, lots of people start commenting on the improvement and asking you for your secret. It really is that powerful. I feel fortunate to have found Revitol’s anti aging skin care products. I have not found anything on the market that even comes close to Revitol in my opinion.

I feel that anybody who uses Revitol consistently can easily shave ten or fifteen years off their appearance with great ease. You don’t need a face lift or harsh acid peel to look your best. Give your skin what it needs to heal itself. Revitol’s skin care line does exactly that. I would recommend these products to anyone. Especially the package that includes all three components necessary for optimal results.

Check out Revitol’s site below and try any of their products totally risk free for 90 days. Their motto is, if you’re not thrilled with the results we don’t want your money. I would have to guess that they get no returns whatsoever. Try it for yourself and you be the judge.

Maybe at sometime you’ve read a newspaper or magazine articles wherein a writer, probably somebody famous, explains that they did not write anything for a year, or perhaps even longer, because of something they will probably call “writers block”.

So, what is this dreaded affliction, writers block?

Well, oh, I don’t know, not really, it’s just that… well, I probably do know what it is, but I just can’t, I just can’t get my ideas together enough to explain it. In fact, I haven’t got anything to say at all about writers block, or, indeed, anything to say about anything.

In fact, why am I here at all?

If you write, this has probably happened to you at some time, in fact, probably many, many times.

You know, you’re sitting staring at the screen first thing in the morning, knowing that you must write something, but have no idea what that something should be!

Familiar? NO?! Man, you are the lucky one…..if that is REALLY true…..

But, sorry to disillusion you, I don’t think it is true!

Anyone who writes anything - articles, books, eBooks, periodicals, newsletters, magazine articles - has experienced this phenomenon at some time or another.

Especially when a deadline is fast coming upon you like an out of control express train! That utter, complete and total inability to order your thoughts, to get the cogs turning, to get things moving - that is writers block, my friend.

Writers block inhabits every blank PC screen and piece of paper known to man.

You know that feeling, where you sit down at your desk with a pretty clear idea of what you need to write, and three seconds later, as your rear end hits the chair, you’re staring at the blank screen, and your head is suddenly entirely uninhabited by anything even vaguely related to cogent thought.

You are staring not in some calm, collected and in control manner, but rather, desperately, longingly, vainly trying to summon some form of divine inspiration from the hidden depths of your soul.

I’m talking about just staring - blank, uninspired, vacant, devoid of almost everything that marks you out as a writer, staring blankly into the deepest recesses of the most profound nothingness.

Sweat streaming down your back, total unfettered panic setting in at the speed of light, going absolutely nowhere, blankness. And, guess what - the tighter the dreaded deadline is, the worse writers block will be!

So, what is going on here? How can even some of the worlds’ greatest authors oft times find themselves utterly unable to produce a single meaningful word?

Simple. It’s that one word - deadlines!

Maybe because the first part of the word is “dead”, but deadlines equal fear!

At that particular moment in any writer’s life, that blank screen is the scariest, most openly malevolent being imaginable.

What if you have absolutely, totally nothing to any value to say?

Eventually, the scariest thing becomes the writers block itself.

So, let’s examine the question of why it happens at all, before perhaps looking to see what, if anything, can be done to attack the problem.

After all, if you are a professional writer who does this each and every day of your life, how come one day you get out f bed and you just can’t do it? It clearly makes no sense.

One possible reason for your writers block may be you are a perfectionist, who truly believes that every single word you write has to be absolutely perfect.

Well, sorry, that is never going to happen.
There are just too many words in the English language to get the perfect one each and every time.

Perhaps you just cannot find the right word to get started. The first sentence is always going to be the hardest. Heck, even writing a letter (or an email) home to your Mum can bring this one on!

Or, your mind is on other things. Your neighbor was partying all night, and kept you awake, or you forget to pay the gas bill, or the dog just die. Whatever it is - your mind id not on the job in hand.

No doubt there are many, many other possible reasons. Suffice to say that, actually, it doesn’t really matter why it happens - it just does!

Now, many, many people (usually a writers block afflicted author!) will tell you that, once writers block set in, you cannot get rid of it. It’s just there, squatting on your shoulder, until it decides to go away again.

My take on this is that, whilst they may believe it, it sounds like a pretty lame form of excuse to you. The writers block has a will of its’ own, does it? It makes the decisions, not you?

Give me a break! I cannot believe that anyone truly believes this for one moment.
However, purely in the interests of enlightened debate, let’s just say that I don’t believe or disbelieve it.
Let us just see, with a totally open mind, whether there is, in fact, ANYTHING at all that can be done to turn on the creative tap once more.

Well, here are few things that you could try that might, just might, help.

Think about the job in hand, beforehand. Come up with just one sentence and write it. Doesn’t matter whether it is good or bad, or whether you finally delete it entirely when you finish your writing.

Can’t think of a good first sentence?

No problem.

Start with the second sentence, or the third, or even the second paragraph. It doesn’t matter where you start, as long as you start!

Whatever you write will get the ball rolling.

Don’t worry about being perfect. Write it now, and don’t worry about how good it is. Worry about that at the editing stage later.

Just sit down and write anything and everything that comes into your head, absolutely as fast as you can hit the keys on the keyboard. “Write like a maniac” is one way I’ve heard of describing this process.

This way, you don’t worry, or “overthink”, and fear goes right out of the window!

The gas bill that you just cannot get out of your mind?

Here’s something (admittedly pretty silly) that I do that gets over this one. I get a favorite picture, and pin it up on the board with the bill hidden behind it! Sure, I know it’s still there, but I can’t see it, (out of sight, out of mind?) and I have “disguised” it as something far more palatable!

Basically, sorry to tell you this but the writers block is not an extant being, it doesn’t really exist of its’ own accord and the only reason that it can control you is because you are content to let it do so.

Thus, only you can banish it, so listen to a favorite piece of music to empty your mind (in a positive way), read a book that is perhaps similar to what you need to write (for inspiration), promise yourself a favorite treat when you have finished one page, or whatever else you can think of that will get you moving again!

You just need to do something. Otherwise, you could possibly just sit there forever, and that is going to be pretty darned boring, huh?

Top 3 Reasons Why Your Kids are Fat

I love kids. Especially fat kids. They’re like big teddy bears, nice to hold and hug. If I ever have kids, I wish all my kids are chubby and cute.

However, no matter how cute fat kids are, the reality is fat kids are better off losing their excess weight. Much have been written about the dangers of obesity in a child. As responsible parents, you should do whatever it takes to help your child lose the excess weight, or prevent her from getting fat in the first place.

Isn’t it great if you could prevent your child from getting fat, or reduce her risk of obesity?

To prevent your child from getting fat, first you must know the reasons that make a child fat. Once you know the reasons, you’ll be in a better position to take preventive measures that will reduce your child’s risk of getting fat.

Here’s the top 3 reasons why a child gets fat. The reasons are based on a study performed on Spanish children.

1. Watching too Much TV

If your kids watch too much TV, they’ll get fat. It’s not the TV watching itself that makes your kids fat, but the activities associated with TV watching like snacking. So, if you restrict your child from watching too much TV, you’ll reduce her risk of getting fat.

2. Family History of Obesity

If you’re fat yourself, your children will probably be fat too. Obesity seems to run in the family. If you’re fat, you should lose weight. Set an example your fat children will follow.

3. Consuming too Much Sugar-Sweetened Beverage

If your kids drinks too much sugar-laden sodas, they’ll get fat. You should monitor your child’s fluid intake and ensure that they do not consume too much sugar-sweetened beverage. Be especially stern when you take your child to fast food outlets.

According to the study, there’s one most important factor that prevents a child from getting fat - the time spent on physical activities during leisure time.

A child who engages in physical activities like exercise and sports protects herself from getting fat. You should encourage your child to exercise or take up sports. Even better, you should join your children in their physical activities. Not only you’re setting an example to your children, you also keep yourself fit and healthy.

Interestingly, the study finds several factors that bear no relation with your child’s risk of getting fat. They are:

  1. Breast-feeding

The reality of Candida yeast in the body and what effects it might have on a person are highly debated. It would seem that there are many who believe it causes a host of problems in some people, and there are others who say it is harmless, and it is not to blame for many of the medical conditions that seem to be fairly new to our world. Some find that they have to turn to Chinese medicine if they want to be taken seriously when they have problems with the yeast. Some wonder if there is a Candida yeast Chronic Fatigue Syndrome connection.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is something that is very much a mystery. This is usually a diagnosis of elimination. The symptoms are often very hard on a person’s life. They might feel tired all of the time, weakness is common, and many may have Fibromyalgia at the same time. That leads to poor sleep and poor immune system function. CFS is usually diagnosed after every other medical possibility has been ruled out. The reason is often unclear, and there seems to be no medical answer as far as a cure. Because an overabundance of Candida yeast weakens the immune system, there may be a link between CFS and this yeast, but the answers are not clear cut in each case.

Those with CFS often have not only Fibromyalgia, but they often have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) as well. Candida yeast can be linked to IBS, so it makes sense that it might have also be a root cause of CFS for some people. Probably the most pronounce symptom of CFS is the fatigue, and it is believed that the overgrowth of Candida yeast can sap anyone’s energy, and if it is spread though the body, it might be a chronic problem. Some with CFS try to eat more carbs (or sugars) for the instant energy that it provides, but it is actually making things worse. Candida loves sugars, and these sugars help it to grow and spread.

Some who have CFS have good luck with taking a vitamin B12 supplement. When B12 is low, it can lead to anemia, which can then lead to an overgrowth of the Candida yeast. Some report that B12 has made them feel better, and has helped with a variety of problems. Though this link in tenuous at best, it has many believing that Candida is causing more problems with the general health of many and most people do not know it, and their doctors are not saying that it might be a possibility.

If a patient with CFS has any of the symptoms of Candida (yeast infections, thrush, skin rashes, bloating, or frequent problems with sinus and respiratory infections) they should consider treatment for the yeast. Though the Candida yeast Chronic Fatigue connection is not there for all who suffer, it might help some. Vitamin B12 supplements might help, along with seeking other treatments to lower the amounts of the yeast in the system. If this helps, it should be something that is carefully monitored, as the yeast can come back if the system is not cared for properly.

Wedding Traditions In Other Cultures

In the United States, we have several wedding traditions that may look odd to someone who is not accustomed to them. Removing the garter could be considered crude by many cultures, and throwing the boutique would probably look very strange as well, and this is not even considering our practice of decorating the newlyweds’ vehicle, oftentimes with aluminum cans dragging behind. While these practices may be seen as quaint to people from other cultures, they have good intentions and are the customs we are used to. Many people choose to include aspects of weddings from other cultures into their own weddings. Although these African wedding practices are normal in their culture, they would be considered extremely odd in other parts of the world.

Dowry is a very common wedding tradition in many parts of Africa. A dowry is basically a negotiated gift that the groom gives to the bride’s family. Although the amount of dowry can be determined a number of ways, it is very common for the dowry to connected to the bride’s overall desirability, as far as beauty, education, class, etc. In some cases, especially with arranged marriages, this can get out of hand and monetary value can determine who a girl gets married to.

There are several African ceremonial traditions that would be considered outlandish in many parts of the world. One African tribe has a number of “good luck” practices that would be considered anything but that in most places. As part of the marriage, the bride must gather all of her possessions and set off for the groom’s home on foot, sometimes walking very far. To bless the marriage with good luck, the bride’s father will spit on her before she begins her journey. When she arrives at the groom’s home, the women of his family, once again as a good luck charm, will yell insults at the bride.

The honeymoon can also be very different in African cultures. In one tribe, a woman elder gives the bride pointers on how to please her husband and will hide under the bed to ensure everything goes smoothly. Other tribes do not consider the marriage final on the wedding day. Marriage may not be official until two children are born. Some tribes have “temporary marriages” in which the bride receives a salary and has no rights to inheritance.

Although you may feel stressed planning for your wedding, or even the prospect of getting married, you can be glad that many of our wedding traditions are relatively tame. You can rest assured that there should be no excessive walking involved, no one being spit on, hopefully no insults from your new in-laws, nobody under the bed during your honeymoon, as well as knowing that your marriage is complete on the day of the wedding. Even though women will always compare wedding rings, it is preferable to bragging about their family getting a dowry of “a used car, a riding lawn mower, Rocky DVD box set, and a gift certificate to Red Lobster.”

“They don’t make ‘em like they used to.” You hear this said about everything - cars, houses, toys, clothes… Well, they don’t make TV shows like they used to, either. If you grew up watching classic TV, you probably have some very fond memories of sitting in front of the television with your family watching some of the classics at night. There are very few modern television shows that the whole family can sit down and watch together. Either they are geared towards kids and the grown ups aren’t interested or they are geared for adults and are inappropriate for the kids.

There is good news for families who would like to share some time in front of the television together, though. Many of the classic TV shows are being released on DVD, usually a season at a time. Families can now enjoy TV classics from the 50’s, 60’s 70’s, and 80’s on DVD’s that include lots of extras like interviews with the cast members and outtakes.

One of the biggest perks of watching the shows on DVD - no annoying commercials. Today, we’re used to watching television on our terms. We fast forward through commercials on shows we’ve recorded on DVR’s. When these classic shows first aired, there was no fast forwarding. Viewers had to sit through the commercials or flip the channel (sometimes manually!) often only to find more commercials.

Think about it. You can now introduce your kids to TV classics such as Happy Days, season by season and show them the first time a television show literally “jumped the shark.” Retro is cool right now, and it doesn’t get much more retro than Happy Days. It was retro from the day it debuted.

What’s available on classic TV DVD? Just about anything you’re interested in.

Variety Shows. Remember a few years back when Nick and Jessica attempted a Christmas special variety show? If your kids were interested in that, then they would probably be interested in The Sonny and Cher Show or The Donny and Marie Show. Sure these 70’s shows were high on the cheese factor, but the performers had some real talent.

Another great variety show from the 70’s that the family will love is The Carol Burnett Show. You’d be amazed at how much today’s kids appreciate good, clean, funny comedy when they are actually exposed to it.

Some of the best episodes of variety shows were the Christmas specials. Sonny and Cher and Donny and Marie had their share of Christmas specials, but the master of the Christmas special was Bob Hope. Many of his classic Christmas variety shows are available on DVD.

Classic Sitcoms. I Love Lucy. The Honeymooners. The Dick Van Dyke Show. Leave it to Beaver. The Brady Bunch. The Beverly Hill Billies. The Cosby Show. Family Ties. The Jeffersons. Happy Days. Mash. The Monkees. Did you sit around watching these shows (or reruns of these shows) with your family when you were a kid? Chances are you did. All of these classic television sitcoms are available on DVD. Wouldn’t it be great to sit back with your kids and a great big bowl of popcorn and watch The Cosby Show’s Claire Huxtable tell her husband Cliff to please go upstairs and kill the children? Now that’s classic tv.

Classic Drama/Adventure. Most dramas fall into the one hour crime show genre nowadays. They aren’t always pleasant to watch and they certainly aren’t appropriate for the kids. Adventure type shows like 24 or Prison Break aren’t for the kids either. But McGyver. Now there’s a show the whole family can watch together and learn a thing or two about how to make a bomb from a piece of chewing gum, a paperclip and a pencil.

Little House on the Prairie. Gunsmoke. Bonanza. The Waltons. Wonder Woman. Murder She Wrote. Columbo. Emergency. The A Team. Mission Impossible. The Lone Ranger. The list of classic drama/adventure tv shows on DVD goes on and on.

Talk Shows. It seems like anyone can get his or her own talk show these days, but they don’t last long. The king of all talk show hosts is Johnny Carson and classic excerpts from his late night talk show The Tonight Show are DVD. Show the kids some real talent and real class by introducing them to Johnny.

Instead of renting a movie this weekend for the family enjoy, why not try renting a season of a classic TV show to introduce the kids to?

Ben Anton invites you to visit our site and read more about classic Johnny Carson and other classic television shows on DVD.

The most surprising thing that my students learn when I teach a seminar or workshop on the Kubotan self-defense keychain, is just how many things can be done with this simple-looking little tool. And that, is part of it’s power!

Many people, including would-be attackers, underestimate the effectiveness of the Kubotan. After all, it looks like a fat pencil and is barely big enough to fit extend from the closed hand that’s holding it. But that is where the magic begins.

While most teachers focus on using the Kubotan in an overtly aggressive manner, I teach my students to use this powerful little weapon to “attack the hidden spots” - the places where your assailant can neither see nor protect…

...until it’s too late.

The Kubotan has three basic functions, or methods, by which it can deliver the maximum amount of damage with a minimal amount of effort on the part of the defender. This methods are:

1. Levering or crushing

2. Striking, and…

3. Scraping

And, when done against specific targets on the opponent’s body, the results can be devastating.

The three attack methods can be used in a variety of ways against specific “sensitive areas,” known as kyusho (pronounced “kyoo-show”) in Japanese. These three areas, or target types, are…

1. Pressure points (these are the same ones used in accupressure and accupuncture for healing)

2. Soft areas (like the eyes, thinner skin in the insides and backs of the arms, lips, etc.), and…

3. Bone structure (especially areas not covered by muscle).

The Kubotan self-defense keychain is a very powerful weapon, even in the hands of a novice. In fact, I would say that it’s the best first-weapon for the beginner or person with no formal training looking to give themselves the advantage of a weapon, without the longer learning curve usually required.
