HOW to MAKE BETTER CARP BAITS - Exploit Great Bait Edges

You might find that as in the case of intensively fished waters where a great quantity of one dominant bait is being fed, that it becomes difficult to catch fish on other baits, for a variety of reasons.

For instance, in carp match fishing in the UK, there are waters dominated by ‘Dynamite Baits’ halibut pellets. In such a situation you are looking at ‘topping’ this bait somehow. I will go further into this below.

You might prefer to go the easy route of using a bait made from exactly the same pellet only crushed and made into boilie form like those of ‘Dynamite’s halibut boilies. Or You might choose to use their halibut pellet power and produce an alternative bait with a large percentage of this dominant ingredient.

‘Topping’ a dominant bait is an old and proven method of using the strengths of a dominant bait to actually enhance your personal results on that bait by altering it just enough to make it a new, different and unique bait. This gives the dominant bait a new lease of life.

It’s like being the angler to be given this bait to use on a water, knowing that it is the first anglers on a new bait that most seriously reap it’s benefits and often hook the biggest fish very quickly, as suspicion of the new bait is so low when compared to perhaps ‘established baits.’

In the case of pellets as in boilies, these can be soaked in the proprietary dips and soaks provided and these are obviously extremely successful. But what if everyone else seems to be using the same baits and dips as you? What can you do to ‘top’ and already dominant and successful bait? Well this is the theme for a whole new article but here’s an example.

Are you a fan of Indian, Thai or Chinese food? These countries among others have discovered many secrets regarding feeding triggers within certain foods and actually base many dishes upon them. The use of fermented shrimps or ‘Belachan’ is just one example. All you need to do is make your bait soak a little different using different ingredients, or higher levels of discernible ingredients possibly already present.

Being a rebellious type I like to find things that possibly no-one else might be able to copy and many of my methods and types of combinations to ‘top’ baits and soaks are really unusual. You can utilise other soaks from the same company and mix them together perhaps. So much work has gone into refining these successful dips that it makes great logical sense to exploit them.

If you feel catch rates could be better, or you want to see if you can tempt a larger number of bigger fish and you’re not the most talented angler on the lake then it’s a good move to alter the ‘dominant baits’ just a little! Many anglers might immediately think of adding a different flavour.

Fishing flavours are often extremely complicated mixtures, and far more than just a base like glycerol or alcohol. You could add betaine to your dip or even add concentrated sources. I like to find concentrates which go well to ’spice up cooking improving food’s digestibility and taste.

For example, anchovy concentrate with added sea salt added to a concentrate of lemon grass, ginger and coconut.

You will benefit from using dough or paste baits and not just boilied baits. These can pull fish in to your swim in a ‘food excited state’ faster than just boilies although the use of different grades of soaked pellets is great to, especially when complimenting the characteristics of your boilies.

The author has many more fishing and bait ‘edges’ up his sleeve. Every single one can have a huge impact on catches. (Warning: This article is protected by copyright.)

Cell Tech Creatine, The Origins of Cell Tech Creatine

Cell Tech Creatine is a supplement used by bodybuilders to increase their muscle mass and it is used by proffesional athletes to improve their athletic performance. So what is creatine?. Why is there such a buzz about it? Creatine is generated by humans and gives energy to muscle cells in the form of a nitrogenous organic acid. It was discovered as far back as the year 1832 by Michel Eugine Chevreul. He found that creatine was a component of skeletal muscle and it certainly has a use in its application.

Creatines two basic functions of benefit are produced when creatine itself is broken down into creatine Phosphate. Once this is done, the ATP and ADP (both multifunctional nucleotides) energy ratio within an individual is increased reducing the loss of what is known as adenosine nucleotides. Adenosine Nucleotides benefit cell function. The resulting high energy phosphate buffer produced is given the term phosphagens. Humans produce creatine after digesting meat and fish and it is generated by our liver.

So how does all of this help?

The answer to this was found in 1912 by researchers who noticed when creatine was ingested, the amount of creatine that an individuals muscle mass consisted of was increased. The relationship between skeletal muscle metabolism and creatine was discovered in the late 1920’s along with creatine phosphate. Creatine supplements did not become famous until their use was reported in press releases relating to athletes performing in the Barcelona Olympics. A number of athletes were reported to have been making use of creatines benefits to boost their performance. The result of them using the supplements was them excelling at their sports.

Gaining muscle and strength fast can be achieved in conjunction with a great exercise regime and Cell Tech Creatine. Cell Tech Creatine contains the ingredients that will saturate and sustain your creatine levels and pack out the mass of your muscles. The potency of the creatine an individual absorbs has an impact on the amount of muscle mass they gain and Cell Tech Creatine is potent stuff. The Importance of Financial Education

Education is not restricted to school. Reading and training are part of your education. Set your mind to making money and you will succeed. Right now you have no idea how much money you will make in your life so don’t put any limitations on it. Get into the habit of building a positive image about money,

It may seem a silly thing to do but the results may impress you. Thoughts are things put them to use for you. Think good thoughts and good things will happen

Recently I read a very interesting book from two famous authors; Donald J. Trump and Robert Kiyosaki called Why We Want You to Be Rich. Both of these gurus feel that lack of financial education is the cause of the world economic problem. In this book he shares about vision that most people never see. Both of them share what they think and why they think the way they do, through their eyes you will gain additional insight how one can improve your financial future.

Your education fund is the first priority in your goal setting we want to give you a tip on how to make it grow. Once you have set up an account with either your local bank you need to plan how to put money into it.

One of the best ways is make deals with your parents. Tell them college is a big dream of yours and that each month you are going to put $20 into your account. Ask them to match it. Your parents will like that you are helping pay for your education and it shows that you are willing to work for it, suddenly you are getting twice as much money and your account is growing faster than it otherwise.

In the first year you will put $400 into your account and with interest you could have saved over $500 at the end of the year.

Financial education is very important to everyone who wants to seek a better life at a time when we all need to be financially equipped for the future we face.

Injury Claim - Undiscovered Tactics

I don’t know about you, but me I’m getting sick of receiving so many calls from telesales people asking me if I have per chance an injury claim. Then I see them on the streets, two or three of them walking about in “stalking mode”, well dressed and with tons of gel in their hair and holding “professional suitcases”. These guys freak me out!

And what is their purpose anyway? Do they want to sell insurance, energy, firewood or what? Or are they just representing another obscure company and they scour the area to “give some tips” on how should they claim injury for an accident that wasn’t their fault?

Personal injury claims in the past

Ten years ago there was no such thing you know…If you were unfortunate enough to have an accident the only compensation which you received was a moral one, and it only came from your family and friends. “Listen to what the doctor said” or “Don’t worry, you’ll get better soon”. And if you had to stay in the hospital you heard “Take two of these and I’ll see you in the morning.” You didn’t get much, really.

Nowadays

Now we are bombarded with so many companies that deal with this kind of thing that we don’t know where to choose from. Everybody knows a “good firm”. And since advertisements are everywhere, it’s hard not to know about such companies. The competition is tough, but many promise a lot and then don’t deliver. So you see, the difference between now and then is colossal, some years ago nobody was interested if you had an injury, but now they are all your best pals.

If you choose a random firm and make your plea, it’s possible you will later find yourself surrounded by countless problems, like: “Sorry but we don’t seem to have the essential files we asked for. Did you really send them to us?”, “Who did you speak with again? I don’t know if he still works with us”, “Your medical report hasn’t arrived yet” or many other things that can be used as an excuse.

Complications after complications…

What about the classic ‘no win no fee’? That slogan was very common in the beginning. “If you don’t win then you don’t owe us one dime?” Just sign those documents and your personal injury claim is all set, don’t worry about it. Wonderful!

Now after months have gone by, you hear nothing. 3 months later, you call to hear what status your claim has reached. ‘Your file’s up and running and you should be attending a medical specialist soon.’

6 months go by finally your medical arrives. 4 months later you receive a cheque of £400 and eyes the size of golf balls?! What the hell is going on???

Frustrated with the settlement cheque, you ring the company for questioning. They pull out your file and take you through the charges and how they reached a final settlement. ‘But, you… ‘Yes, it’s all in black and white and you signed it!’ But guess what, you’re too late, and now you’ll learn from that mistake…

Now For The New Trick…

100% Compensation! Yes, you get all of your compensation. Amazing, finally a dream come true…

What does it mean?

Once your claim is settled, you will receive the ‘full’ compensation money, without deductions. Now this is the clever bit… the specialist will payout 100% Compensation, but that does not mean the claim management company will not!

At the end of the claim, the management company (owned by your mates friend) will charge you a kick back after you have received your 100% Compensation. Effectively, you receive 100% Compensation, but once you received it, the claim management company will now take out their fees. Smart eh???

You still, by law, got 100% Compensation from the specialist. Which is what they claimed, however, the deductions kick in afterwards.

You’ve taken enough beating as it is. It’s time to be smart! Beware of the 100% Compensation slogans flying around. How do you avoid them?

Ask!

Vital Tips For Successful Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is the art and science of making web pages appear attractive to the search engines. The better optimized a website is, the higher the ranking it will receive from a search engines web crawlers, the higher its ranking the more traffic your website will have, the more traffic your website has the more profit your website will generate. The key is good internet search engine optimization.

Why is having a receiving a high ranking so important to the future success of your online business? Studies have shown that consumers seldom look at websites that do not rank a spot on of the first two pages the search engines displays. Websites that receive a ranking that places them on the third page (or any other pages after that) see a significantly lower amount of traffic at their websites then one that is ranked on the second page. There is even a staggering difference between the first and second page. In the world of e-commerce ranking and strong search engine optimization is everything.

At first search engine optimization may feel like trying to rappel down the Grand Canyon, a huge scary world full of big words like web crawlers, PageRank, Meta tags, and algorithms. You have never heard of any of these things. A quick internet search of the world algorithm does not help; all you got was a printout of strange symbols and numbers arranged in complex algebraic equations.

Sit back, take a deep breath, and try to relax. Search engine optimization is a lot simpler then you might think. First things first.

Algorithms really are every bit as complex as they look. Simply defined they are a finite set of carefully defined instructions. Most, if not all, computer programs are designed with strict algorithms.

PageRank is simply the program Google designed to search, index, and rank it registered webpage’s. PageRank operates on a link analysis algorithm. PageRank is credited for Google incredible success.

Web crawlers are tools search engines use to browse the World Wide Web in a methodical, automated manner. When web crawlers are browsing websites they are looking for algorithms.

Meta tags are special HTML tags that provide information to about a web page. Meta tags are written directly into the title tag and are only visible to the search engine.

The reality of search engine optimization is that you can start to optimize your website without any knowledge at all of the technical stuff involved in search engine optimization. Simply stated the very first step in designing a website that is going to be well ranked by the search engines is to create a content rich site. What this means is that you must cram as much information about your product into your website as you possibly can.

The third step to search engine optimization is to fill your site with keywords that will attract the web crawler’s attention. The final step in a wonderfully optimized website is to submit it to the search engine that will compliment it.

What to Do With Used Baby Clothing?

Most babies outgrow 0-3 months sized clothing in a few weeks. This results in clothes being hardly worn and in some cases never worn at all. Difficult as it is to get rid of your little ones’ things you should consider the following ways in order to put them to good use.

Not everyone will have the luxury of going out to buy new outfits for their bay. So it is a good idea not to simply put the used clothing out with your weekly garbage collection.

Refuge Centers/ Neo Natal Units - Donating your baby clothes to either a refuse center or hospital unit gives you the joy in knowing the clothes are being put to good use. When our own baby was in the Neo Natal unit for a few weeks, he got good use from some of the clothes available there. We eventually brought our own items to the unit but it was good that there was some there for him to use. These clothes had been donated by other families.

Planning to have a large family?

Many mothers keep their baby clothes in case they decide to have more children. As most parents know having a family is costly so try to save money wherever you can. It is also nice to see those special outfits on your other children. Pre-wash old baby clothes before using.

Create a Baby Memory Quilt - Keeping material from old baby clothes and making a patchwork quilt is a fantastic way of creating a sentimental memento of your baby. This can then be added to with other material as your baby grows.

Outfits for a Stuffed Toy - Using Baby Outfits to dress some of your childs’ stuffed toys is another fabulous way of recycling those old baby clothes. Even making stuffed animals from your little ones outgrown t-shirts and cardigans is another way to capture those find memories and again puts the clothes to good use.

Letting go of your babies clothes can be difficult for some parents. Little outfits can resurrect so many wonderful memories. So if giving those treasured clothes away is just too much then dig out the needle and thread and create a precious memento of your baby to keep for your grandchildren.

If you do decide to give your clothing items away, you can rest in the knowledge that some unfortunate family will be putting them to good use.

No Advanced Credit

QUESTION:

We made a contract with our son, Bill, when we bought him a truck. It said he would keep grades at C’s and have no more behavior problems. The second week of school, he was suspended for telling the bus driver to shut up and flipping him off. We have the truck for sale. This was stated plainly in contract.

Are we doing the right thing?

RESPONSE:

The deal you made with your son goes something like this:

“We’ll give you a truck in exchange for (1) grades no lower than a ‘C’ and (2) no more behavior problems.”

With unconventional, strong-willed kids, “advanced credit” is the kiss of failure.

For example, son says, “Mom, can I go over to my friend’s house to play basketball.”

Mom says, “No, not until you get your homework done.”

Son says, “I’ll do it when I get back …I promise. I’ve gotta play basketball.”

Mom says, “O.K., but you make sure you’re home in one hour and get started on that homework.”

Son says, “Alright!” …and he takes off out the door, fully intending to do his homework when he returns home.

You know the rest of the story. Does the homework get done?

No …of course not.

Unconventional kids are not into “compromising” or “making deals” with parents — they simply want to “have it their way.” You will NEVER get your son to work for what you want, but you WILL get him to work for what he wants.

You cannot control your son, but you can control the things he enjoys such as telephones, television, toys, games, freedom for activities, junk food, toiletries, favorite cloths, bedroom doors, bedroom furniture, etc. While he may not be willing to work for the things you want, he will usually work for the things he wants. By controlling the things he wants, you can motivate him to change unwanted behaviors.

Here’s what I recommend:

I know it was stipulated in the contract, but don’t sell the truck!

In dealing with strong-willed, out of control teens, fostering the development of “self-reliance” in your child is key. This is a golden opportunity for your son to EARN that truck and develop some self-reliance. Here’s how:

He earns his own money and pays for all or half of the truck — you decide. He can earn money from doing chores at home, as well as his place of employment (if he’s old enough to drive, he’s old enough to be working somewhere).

When he reaches the dollar amount that you have agreed to (no contract, simply tell him what the expectation is), he can possess the truck — and not a minute earlier. If there’s no way he can afford to pay at least half, then trade the truck in for a cheaper vehicle and proceed as described. Remember: No Advanced Credit!

Tip: When a parent gives a child a vehicle, he pretty much has it destroyed in about 6 months. When a child pays for all or half of his vehicle, he washes and waxes the thing every weekend.

Orchid Care – Difficult Choices

Orchid growers come across many difficult choices when caring for their orchids. Perhaps one of the most difficult is deciding on how much to water the orchid. This is probably the most common mistake novices make.

It is very hard to judge the right time and the right amount of water to give to your orchid. Probably the biggest mistake people make is over watering the orchid. Very rarely do people under water, as with light people tend to over do it.

Different orchids require different amounts of water but what they all have in common is that they don’t like having their roots submerged in water as their roots will rot and die.

Even then, the orchid will require different amounts of water depending on the season. In the summer when it is hot your orchid will require more water than in the winter.

Tap water is ok for the orchid but rainwater is much better. Try leaving a couple of watering cans in the garden to catch the rain so that you will have a constant source of water for your plants.

You could feed your orchids with extra nutrients if you don’t feel that they aren’t getting enough naturally. There are many different types of plant feed available from the very weak to the very strong. I would recommend that you find specialist orchid feed which is usually available at most garden stores. If you can’t find one then ask a store assistant which they recommend of those that they do stock. If you are still struggling then you can use general fertilizer as long as it isn’t too strong.

Another difficult decision to be made by the orchid grower is when to re-pot. Again the frequency of the re-potting will vary depending on the orchid but they will all require potting for one or all of these possible scenarios.

–The compost may have begun to decompose and therefore lost its nutritional content

–The compost may have become waterlogged due to over watering

–The orchid may have out grown its current home.

When you re-pot you need to use compost which allows water to drain away easily. This will help prevent the roots sitting in water and rotting.

The size of the new pot is very important. On most occasions the size of the new pot will be the same as the old. You should only increase the size of the pot if your orchid was too large for its old pot. The roots of your orchid like to be snug.

These two areas of orchid care often provide challenges for even the most experienced of orchid growers, so you are in good company. I have only touched the surface of these two topics so please read more material for further information.

Leading Change - Empowering People for a Change

During times of change in an organization people tend to freeze and not want to take responsibility. As a change leader you need people who are empowered, yet many a leader just sits back and blames the people and become a dictator extraordinaire. As a Marine sniper in Vietnam I saw leaders empower us young kids who knew nothing. One leader, Colonel Masterpool, had people that would follow him to hell and back just because of who he was and how he treated and communicated with us.

When I worked for Frito Lay back in the late seventies and into and through the eighties, they came along and decided they’d ‘empower’ our mechanics that worked in the shops of our extensive private truck fleet. They wanted to elevate them, they said, to positions of more responsibility. It was a big change in our modus operandi.

Headquarters Human Resources were in charge of this charade and it became a program that was rolled out across the country. When it hit the streets it amounted to nothing more than a headcount reduction, we eliminated the vast majority of our Fleet Managers as they were called, the folks who ran the shops that maintained the vehicles of our private fleet. It was called empowerment.

When it hit the street it reminded me of the old quote from Alfred E. Newman, the one from Mad Magazine when he said, “Just because everything’s different doesn’t mean that anything’s changed”. And nothing had changed except we were short several Fleet Managers and our all ready hard working mechanics were now disgruntled and severely over worked.

The mechanics clearly understood day one that they would now do the work of their former boss. They would now do all the paperwork, the parts ordering, the warranty claims, you name it. Of course the company rolled out systems to support this new work, right? No way. Come on you say, the company paid them, the mechanics, a little more money for the new work, right? Not on your life. They should be happy with their new responsibilities. One HR Manager actually said, “They should be happy we trust them with this work”.

When you are leading organizational change you cannot treat empowerment this way. The key to empowerment is having a clear vision that is communicated and people know what the end result looks like. Let me explain. People are surprised when I tell them in my thirty plus year management and leadership career I was most empowered as a United States Marine. That’s right, the Marine Corp, known for its discipline and my way or the highway attitude was most empowering. Let me tell you the secret, why the Corp was so empowering.

In the Marine Corp you are taught one single thing heading in to a mission … commanders intent. In a nutshell, commanders’ intent is the end game of the mission. Gentlemen, you are to take that hill at coordinates 567123 by 0100 tomorrow morning. Now you make detailed plans and everyone has a particular role, not like the matrix management BS where leaders won’t make the hard calls. The plans are elaborate and when the first shot is fired most of the plans go out the window, just like in your business. But if everyone knows ‘commanders intent’ it’s no problem, carry on and take the hill at 567123 by 0100 tomorrow.

That is empowerment. In each of our roles we were empowered to work together and deliver the objective. Did the plans change? Yes. Did we ad lib and do what we had to for the delivery of the objective, yes. Did we work together without arguing? No, but we delivered the commanders intent because we all knew what it was and that delivering it and working together as a unit was, shall we say, a condition of employment. You must do the same in your change leadership or you will fail.

Empowerment is a powerful feeling. It means you truly give me the power to deliver on my job. And understand it is a byproduct of solid leadership, not a program. How many leaders today do that? Darn few. Think about it. With the introduction of pagers and cell phones everyone wants a call. Twenty years ago when you left the office you had to leave people in charge because you couldn’t communicate with them. And they grew in the process. Today people are so vainly important they have to be talking walking along in the airport. Give me a break. It is the same in times of organizational change too.

Lead like you trust your troops. Lead by giving them solid direction in the beginning, communicate with them clearly and consistently along the way and they get out of the way … that is empowering leadership and that is what drives change. It’s not about the posters and slogans from HR, it’s about the leadership on the ground.
