Blogging Secrets #29 - How to Save Money With Your Blog

I have been blogging for almost 5 years and when I first started my overall business costs were down about 21%. I remember saying to myself “Why did I save money? It must be blogging”

It’s so simple to save money from blogging that I can sum it in few words and they are

“Blogging will attract search engine traffic without paying a bundle for it.” It really doesn’t matter if your site is a fresh out of the oven or has been around for a while, by just adding a directory on your site for blogging and start to blog on a consistent basis you will get more search engine traffic.

You don’t even need to know what blogging is or even pay someone to train your people on blogging. There are a lot of articles, how-to guides and communities out there who are willing to help you for free or less then $100.

You can benefit more by using RSS feeds and getting one-way links from blog directories. Add you blog addresses to all of the blog directories and you can guarantee more traffic to your site.

Bloggers love to link to each other and the more links you get to your blog the better rank you will get for your blog in the search engines. You can either write articles and distribute them on EzineArticles.com or ask for links from budding blogs. Linking is a great way to get search engine attention and click traffic.

The main reason why a blog ranks higher compare to normal sites is because the blogger is consistently adding more content to their blogs. I would suggest that in the beginning you add post almost daily to get the attention of the search engines. If you update frequently and have excellent content, then other sites might want to display your RSS feed and bring you more exposure to your blog and site.

A blog is a much cheaper way to study your target customer. When your blog get more popular all you need to do is to ask your readers if you have any questions for them and they will give the answer almost immediately. This cuts much of the survey fees which you are paying.

Yes it’s easy just to post a link of a survey in your newsletter or site but a blog will create a sense of interactivity and the ability for a more two way interaction with your customers. Conversations can build bond and form stronger credibility for yourself and your company.

You will be spending less on advertising as your blog becomes more popular thus saving you tons of cost on advertising and marketing. You will saving money as your blog will retaining more customers to come back to your sites often to check on your blog updates.

You’ve Got to Be Willing to be Uncomfortable Sometimes

I’ve heard it said before that if you want to be successful you’ve got to learn to be uncomfortable at times. I think there’s a lot of truth in that statement.

Think about it… What’s comfortable about putting yourself out there and asking for a job promotion? What’s comfortable about asking someone to use your company’s product or service? What’s comfortable about reaching out and making contact with someone you don’t really know that well initially? What’s comfortable about taking the first step towards learning a new skill?

Not a whole lot is there?

Of course this is not all bad news. For one thing if you’re willing to be uncomfortable just a bit from time to time you’re going to put yourself in a much better position to take advantage of a lot of the opportunities that are all around us — even if we don’t always notice them.

In most cases the reason that most folks don’t achieve greater levels of success is because they either don’t recognize the opportunity in the first place, or they lack the ability to move past their self-imposed comfort zones and do the uncomfortable actions necessary to get on with finding success in their given endeavor.

Keep this in mind - if you always feel comfortable it is likely that you’re not giving your success the full chance it deserves. If you are always comfortable, you may be limiting yourself in ways you may not even fully realize.

Action Step:

Develop the mindset to try new things - always be on the lookout for new opportunities and be willing to reach beyond what you think you are capable of and go for it. Even in a worse case scenario where it doesn’t work out, you’ve still gained an invaluable life experience.

It is through trying new things that we grow to the point where we realize that we’ve got every resource we need inside us to live our perfect life.

5 Things You Should Know About Tax Deductions

Tax deductions are one of the great, if only, things that are good when concerning tax time. We all grudgingly send in those papers knowing that at least we should be getting potholes filled and new textbooks in the school systems.

But did you know that with just a little tax time preparation you can save a lot of money that you probably would have overlooked? Tax deductions are bountiful, but unless you are an accountant, it is not likely that you will have all the knowledge you need to save a lot on tax deductions.

The first thing you should know, and this goes especially for those running a business from home, is that you need to have incredibly detailed records of all spending. This sounds like lot of busy work and very difficult, however it all boils down to just writing down what you spent money on and keeping your receipts- preferably in order for your accountant.

Another very good reason to keep good records is that the IRS is much more likely to take a look at the records of those who have home businesses than those who do not. It would behoove you to keep this in mind and keep those records.

Most people are aware that the more items you can deduct from your taxes the less you have to pay in or the more tax credits you will receive. But many don’t know that if you itemize your taxes it will save you even more than just lumping all deductions together in a tax return soup and think that you are going the best route for your tax deductions.

The fact is that the itemized tax deductions are much more likely to yield a higher return than those who don’t itemize. Anyone should be able to itemize their taxes and if you are a small businesses owner it would be in your interest to do so as well. It may seem like a chore to go this route, but you will be saving money and you will be able to claim more on your tax deductions.

Paying in taxes is a certainty and necessary need to keep our country running smoothly. However, you shouldn’t pay more than you have to and many people end up doing just that. Learn more about how you can save money on your taxes and even create a larger tax return for yourself by going here.

Blogging Secrets #19 - 8 Ways to SEO Your Wordpress Blogs

While blogs are great with search engines, getting to the top 10 listing of a search engine requires some work on your part. Most blogs are hosted on wordpress. The issue with wordpress is with their SEO capabilities. Wordpress Blogs are not search engine optimized out of the box and you will have to spend some time with SEO for your blog.

Optimizing your wordpress blog will give you more natural highly targeted traffic to your blog. Below are some of the ways you can optimized your wordpress blog for search engines.

1.Permalink Structure

Always change the permalink before creating any post. The best permalink structure is

“domain.com/category/post-name” Never use the date and month in the middle as the deeper the post are the harder it gets found

First you need to change the permalink in your wordpress. Don’t change the htaccess file as wordpress will rewrite it all over again. What you can do is to login to your wordpress and click on options. In options you will find a permalinks tab. Click on the tab and enter

/%categories%/%postname%/

And click on update. After doing this, all your post permalinks will be automatically rewritten. Using this method can dramatically improve your ranking in the search engines.

2. Use suitable tags and structure All your post must have the title of the post be in h2 tag. Look through your stylesheet and the theme template and see if the title is tag properly. Its important to have h2 tags for your titles. Remember to always have a good headline and title for your post. When checking your wordpress theme template, do check whether there are other h2 tags used. Always change them to something else as you only want the H2 tags to be for your post titles.

3. Use optimized title Wordpress by default puts the post title at last in the header. The best option is always have it first. Download the plugin called “optimal title”. This plugin will allow you to put the title anywhere you want. Use the format “Post Name | Keyword 1| Keyword2” which is more effective then the traditional format.

4. Related Post. The most important thing you can do for your wordpress blog is to install the related post plugin. This plugin will help improve your page views and help with internal linking. Internal linking is very important for SEO. This plugin will help to make your blog look more valuable to spiders and getting all your post to be indexed.

5. Links from Authority Sites. Inbound links will always be the hall mark of SEO. Getting an authority site to link to your blog will tremendously help with your rankings. Find budding bloggers that are blogging on similar topics to link back to you. Create a Squidoo lens and add content to it, this will not only bring more traffic to your site but increase your pagerank as Squidoo lenses have pageranks of 5 -7. Try to buy links as well. Do whatever it takes to get more link popularity to your blog.

6. Top viewed posts plugin One of the important plugin’s you must have on your blog is the top views plugin. As in the related post plugin, it will increase your page views. It makes it easy for the search engine robots to index your whole site and not leave out anything,

7. 404 page redirect Always remember to edit the error page and have a redirect to your main page. Many have lost thousands because of not optimizing their 404 page.

Staff Augmentation Services

Staff augmentation gives customers a chance to hire a worker or a team of employees for a certain period of time and remove employees when the task or the project is over. This practice helps to reduce the operational costs, arising from the need to employ new people with the required skills.

Clients who turn to firms, offering staff augmentation services, have to pay for the employees only when there is a need to use their services. They get a possibility to use the services of the professionals, who specialize in the very field the customer needs. By doing so, they also get a chance to respond to the quickly changing market needs. The employees who are usually hired often have a great desire to work as they normally get better wages at outsourcing centers than they would if they worked for a local firm. Staff augmentation centers possess the latest technologies and expertise, and the customers also get an access to the technological innovations, which they may need for their projects.

Staff augmentation centers may provide professionals in the following spheres: web development, mainframe programming, business analytics, software development and engineering, technical writing, customer support, systems analytics, call centers, desk help, technical support, project management, database design and administration, network engineering and administration, and others.

Staff augmentation centers may offer the services of workers for both short-term and long-term projects. Often companies have long-term projects with the necessity to involve IT teams. Some of them hire IT specialists full-time; however they may supplement the team with one or several specialists, which will be needed only for a short period of time. In this case they turn to the outsourcing centers. Others prefer to use the staff augmentation services and hire IT staff offshore for a long period of time. This has the aim of seriously minimizing the costs spent on IT staff.

Working with the employees, provided by staff augmentation centers is really easy. It is actually as easy as working with your own employees, who sit in another room. The modern means of communication allow to easily talk to your colleague abroad and even to control how the job is done in real-time.

Most staff augmentation centers have employees, who work dedicatedly on customer projects in different parts of the world, therefore most companies can really benefit from them.

How To Be Creative & Be Happy - 5 Essential Ingredients For A Happy Creative Life

Deep down, we all know how to be happy.

We have enough self awareness to know what feels good, what feels right. We know what type of creating makes us feel excited, stimulated, powerful, alive.

The difficulty comes NOT in knowing just how delicious the recipe for our happy creative life can be.

We’ve had enough of a taste at various times in our creative life, however fleetingly, and however few and far between these occasions may have been, to know how wonderful it CAN be.

The hardest part is knowing which ingredients to use and what quantity of each we need.

So to give you a little more clarity about YOUR own unique recipe for a happy and fruitful creative life, here are 5 of the essential ingredients we ALL need:

1. Recognition and Appreciation. We all need to be recognised and appreciated as creative artists, to feel our work - and our very creative existence - has a purpose.

This begins with ourselves. How completely have you accepted that you’re a creative person, and that creativity plays a crucial part in your life? Isn’t it time you “came out of the closet” to yourself and the rest of the world?

2. Support. Though sometimes it’s of benefit to create away from outside distractions, none of us can create for a sustained period in complete isolation.

The support of others, someone to tell us we’re doing great and we’re on the right track, is invaluable to us as creative people. What kind of support network do you have in your creative life?

3. Stability and Routine. Though many of us visibly flinch at the idea that as creative people we should have routines and systems in place to be able to be creative, the fact is they work.

The only way to produce consistent, rewarding and fulfilling creative work is to create regularly. And we can only do this with routines in place, systems that work for us. What creative routines and system do you have that work for you? How can you make them even more effective?

4. Connection To Others. For many the fundamental purpose of creating ANYTHING is to connect with others, to communicate with the world. Our art, our creative work, is our unique and precious way of doing this.

If we’re creating in a vacuum though, we’re missing out on a huge and rewarding part of the creative life. In what ways is your creative work out there in the world connecting with, touching and inspiring people? And how can you directly communicate and share more with other creative people?

5. Development and Evolution. We simply can’t have a happy creative life if we produce the same piece of work over and over again. Creative development is essential to having a rewarding creative life.

The root of all personal creative development is being brave and bold enough to experiment, and willing to evolve and change. In what ways do you experiment, take risks and scribble outside the lines in your creative life? How can you do this more?

Finding a delicious recipe for a happy creative life is an ongoing process.

By having these 5 elements in place, we’re off to a excellent start.

Finding the right type and amount of each that works best for you can only be found through experimenting, being brave and being open.

Open yourself to the possibility that a life of happiness and creativity is something that’s not only achievable, but it’s something you already know how to do, if only you’d give yourself the chance and the permission.

Grooved Golf Swing Series - How To Visualize Your Golf Shot Before Hitting, Your Ball What It Means

What is meant by visualization before your golf
shot?
Have you often heard that you should always
visualize the shot before you hit your golf ball?

Have you often wondered exactly what is meant by
this?
I have never seen anything written about
how to go about visualization.

Is it that your should see your ball soaring
towards the spot where you want it to land?

I thought so too for so long. I tried it and it
did not make any difference to the outcome of my
shot and I thought this was a lot of hype. A lot
of over rated advice.

Yet, if you watch Tiger Woods, he always stands
behind his ball for a few (quite a few) seconds
and then hits a great shot. Unless of course he
is using his driver.
Isn’t it so true that everyone has an Achilles
heel?

Any way, I have given this aspect of the game a
great deal of thought lately.

I have also changed
a few things in my swing which has made a deal of
difference to my game and resulting in lower
scores.
Having made these changes, I have suddenly seen
what is meant by this visualization.

Because I have a few new things in my swing, I
can forget to perform properly when I hit my
ball.
I can forget to do something important.

As a result, I have developed the habit of going
through each aspect of the swing, hitting the
ball and then seeing it travel in a nice
trajectory to my target.

The difference has been staggering.

This is obviously what is meant by visualizing your next
shot.
At last I have an answer.

The down side of all this is that this can take
an age as you stand behind your ball trying to
call to mind all the aspects that are important.

This can hold things up, cause impatience with
your playing partners, and so add to your
tension. Not good.

It is amazing how one can stand behind the ball,
try to go through a mental list of important
factors in the swing, and get a mental block.

The next important feature just will not slot into
the sequence.
Then your thoughts become jumbled.

You start to go back and forth with your thinking
which means you have lost it for this shot.

The answer to this is to practice away from the
golf course when you have an odd minute and go
through all the things you want to bring to mind
as you visualize your golf shot.

These are taking your correct take away, position
of your hands at the top, hitting with your arms,
keeping your head behind the ball at all times,
and watch the ball making sure you hit down onto
it and the fewer moving parts the better.

During visualization, see yourself doing all these
things.
Also, see your ball going to the target
in a nice flight.

Then, on the course, you will
be able to go through these things quickly, step
up to your ball, and everything will go as
planned.
This drill before each shot makes such a
tremendous difference.

A good trick is to push your feet out - left to
the left, and right to the right.
This will be a great aid in steadying the lower half of your
body.
The weight transfer is taken care of
without any thought from you.

Put this into your visualization.
Your set up and stance should be
in there too.

Is this too much to cope with? No, it isn’t.
If you have practiced away from the course, each
step will be but a fleeting picture.
That is all you need.
Your subconscious mind will take care
of the rest.

Everything will be in the correct sequence, and
the correct sequence will happen with little
thought from you as you make your golf shot.

It really is worth while spending time away from
the course developing the skill of visualization
and then using it before each shot.

Good luck and happy golfing.

Tenant Loans - What Could I Use One For?

If you’re a tenant and you need to borrow some money, there are still plenty of lenders and brokers that are prepared to help you. They will look at your financial circumstances and make a decision about your tenant loan application, dependent on a number of factors, including whether you could reasonably afford the loan in the first place. The lenders are just as concerned about your welfare as the are about their own money which is a responsible attitude to take and one which is hopefully accepted by the borrower in the same manner.

A tenant loan is an unsecured loan. Since the lender cannot ’secure’ their loan against any property that you own and thereby reduce the risk of losing their money should you default on your tenant loan, they tend to look a little less favourably on your application if you have poor credit, arrears, defaults or CCJ’s. Don’t worry if you do have poor credit however. There are still lenders and brokers who are happy to consider applications for tenant loans from customers who have poor credit such as CCJ’s, arrears and defaults.

What could I use the money for?

Really, there are few limits on what you could use your tenant loan for. Commercial loans or business loans are sometimes a little more difficult to apply for, but for most people looking to take out an unsecured personal loan, who want the money for personal reasons, you can use the money on just about anything.

You could take out a tenant loan for-

- a fabulous far-off holiday,
- a new car, motorbike or caravan,
- a wedding or celebration to remember with all the trimmings, or even to
- consolidate some existing credit into one more manageable monthly repayment

Whatever you want to take out an unsecured tenant loan for, most lenders are happy to consider your application, so don’t be shy! Apply for an unsecured tenant loan today and start to enjoy the things you’ve always dreamed of. It’s pretty simple. It may only take a few seconds to enquire with an online broker and you may get a decision in principle within minutes. Of course, you will still need to complete and sign a credit agreement and it may take a few days for your loan to complete from there.

Offshore Translation Agencies – Reducing Your Translation Costs

Naturally, the language centers are aware of the existing cultural differences and the possible difficulties that may arise during the process of negotiations.

The offshore translation agencies usually cooperate with other language agencies, and they will gladly assist you in finding a translator of a certain language, if they cannot offer the services of the translator themselves. Besides the quality of translations, offshore translation offices can offer cost-reduction options, just like many IT outsourcing services due to their location in low-economy countries.

As for the most common services, provided by offshore translation services, this is first of all translation, interpretation, localization, reviewing of documents in various languages. Most translators specialize in a certain area of knowledge, for example, engineering, software and IT, advertising and marketing, economy, finance, tourism, medicine and many others.

The jobs, outsourced to offshore translation offices, can be performed in a short period of time, or they can be done in a few hours. The ready made projects are forwarded to the customer using the most modern techniques, available today. Also there is a chance to communicate with an employee of an offshore translation agency, using all the possible means of communication.

The rates for the translations can be more than competitive if compared with the rates in, say, America. The rates are usually based on the per-word model; however there are offshore translation agencies, which prefer the per-page model (usually 1800 characters). You can also request a quote per book or article.

Offshore translation agencies are very handy if you plan to visit the country, in which it is located. If you are in need of a language assistant, you can also make a request to an offshore translation agency. Consider employing an offshore translation agency and see how you will benefit from it.

Using 3×5 Cards to Achieve Your Goals

A common stumbling block I see standing in the way of most people otherwise reaching and achieving their goals is that they simply stop focusing on them or move on to other things.

Did you get that?

Notice it wasn’t that they lacked the know how, but rather they lost focus.

If you’ve found yourself guilty of this (as most of us are at times) the following tip should be a welcome addition to your life — and success journey.

I caution you not to downplay the simplicity of it. It works, and there are countless examples of high achievers who have put it into play in their lives and are reaping great rewards as a result.

3×5 cards keep you focused and on track as you work towards achieving your goals

First you need some 3×5 index cards. See, as promised nothing fancy.. Oh, and you need a writing pen.

Since as I always say, personal development is a hands on project, you have room to personalize this idea so that it works best for you. With that said, I’ll explain how I use the 3×5 index cards goal-setting system … Again keep in mind you can certainly tweak any suggestions here as you see fit.

I would write down the particular goal. For example, lets say my personal goal is to write at least one new article a week.

I would write the following on my 3×5 index card:

“I write and complete one or more motivational articles a week. I receive nice notes from people that read my writing to let me know that they found the ideas helpful. This or something better is happening in my life now for the good of all concerned.”

It’s worth noting that I do adjust the wording according to the particular goal I am recording, but in all instances I like to include the last part which reads “This or something better is happening in my life now for the good of all concerned”.

You certainly don’t have to add that part, but for me, I find it helps to keep me focused on my larger objective of helping others.

Hopefully you noticed a few other things I like to include on my personal goal cards from the example above. In case you missed them they are…

I write in a present tense. I find this helps make the distinction in my mind between what I am doing (i.e. Being active and taking the real action necessary to see results) versus simply what I’d like to do.

Remember, we’re on our way to making our goals a reality when we take the needed steps to achieving them, not simply hoping they’ll happen on their own. Writing my goals in the present tense makes a difference.

Another thing I do is include a little supporting statement for my goal. In the example above I included “I receive nice notes from people that read my writing to let me know that they found the ideas helpful”. I find that including a statement like this helps to give life to my goal — and help highlight one of the reasons why it is worth taking the effort to work on the goal.

You might consider it written visualization. Just as visualizing an outcome in your mind helps to manifest your goals, so adding a little written visualization to your goal card will give some added emotion as you are reading and reviewing them.

The key to why keeping your goals written down on 3×5 index cards works is because they’re easy to keep around. They can easily fit in your pocket, on your desk, or practically anywhere. Since it is easy to keep them nearby, it is also easy to review them often! And make no mistake… reviewing your goals as often as possible is what makes all the difference.

Think of it like this… when it comes to goal achievement, out of sight and out of mind is a killer. And seeing as how our lives can move 90 to nothing it is far to easy to be sidetracked by any number of life’s challenges.

So in summary, set regular times with yourself during your day to review your goal cards. Keep them in places where they won’t be easily missed. While it is true this idea is a simple one, it is also true that it is easy to neglect taking action on it. While simple, it does work — if you work the idea that is.
