How to Recognize Anger and Handle it Effectively

Anger is a feeling that has to be recognized outright. Anger could be a start of something deeper, like rage or violent actions and reactions. You’ve got to control your anger, because it has the ability to control you.

Anger is best recognized and best controlled if it is more understood. The first step in better understanding anger is to know what the types of anger are. If you know the cause of your anger, the better you can combat it. Here are the types of anger and a short description of what they are.

1. Behavioral Anger. This type of anger is comprised of aggressive and cruel actions. It inclines mostly on the physical aspect. It usually implies an attack towards the subject of the anger, usually a person. It is expressed through trouble-making, physical attack and defiance.

2. Verbal anger. This type of anger, on the other hand, merely uses words and not actions. It is expressed mostly by openly speaking insulting words and hurtful criticisms. Accusing somebody of a crime or of a wrong-doing is also an example of verbal anger.

3. Passive Anger. Passive anger is shown mostly through mockery, or through avoiding a certain instance. People who are displaying this type of anger are not showing their anger outright but are devising covert ways of expressing it. They do not confront a person or a situation.

4. Self-inflicted anger. This type of anger is the one that is directed toward a person’s own body. Sometimes, people showing this type of anger tend to starve themselves or eat too much, for example. These are the people into the idea of punishing their own self for something wrong they have done.

5. Chronic anger. People with chronic anger are just angry in general. They are angry with their lives, with their selves, with the people around them and the whole world in general. They don’t necessarily have a definite reason why. Most of the time, they are just angry for apparently no reason at all.

6. Judgmental anger. This type of anger would lead somebody to hurtfully shame the people around him, like his family, friends and neighbors. He expresses his anger by putting others down and belittling their abilities as a person.

7. Overwhelmed anger. This type of anger is seen on people that hate the situations happening around them that directly affect their lives. They usually shout or lash out at someone or something easily. They do so because that’s their way of relieving the stress and the pain they are feeling.

8. Constructive anger. This type of anger is the type that makes people want to go out and join groups and movements. And they usually do it because they wanted to do something to correct a certain situation. They wanted to make a positive change. And that’s the main effect of this type of anger.

9. Volatile Anger. This type of anger is the one that easily comes and goes. The magnitude of this anger varies too. It could build into a rage, or it could be a mild, sudden anger. It could explode abruptly, or it could go unseen. It all depends on the person controlling the anger. This type is expressed either by verbal or physical assault.

10. Retaliatory anger. This type of anger is the most common one. Usually people get angry because other people are angry at them. This anger depends mainly on the other person. If your anger is due to a person lashing out at you, then you are guilty of this type of anger.

11. Paranoid Anger. This anger arises if a person feels, in an irrational way, that they are intimidated by others. People with this type of anger feel and think that other people wanted to take what is rightfully theirs. They are angry toward that person because, for one, they are jealous.

12. Deliberate Anger. This type of anger is shown by people who would like to gain control over a situation. They are mostly not angry at first. But they will be once you have shown that you are against what they have planned and what they would like to happen. They use anger to gain power over somebody or something.

These are the most common types of anger. Determine what type your anger is. Then harness it accordingly.

Supplementation Tips for Pregnant Dogs

It is imperative that you give your dog the best for its diet while it is pregnant and maintaining the supplements even after it is whelping. There is an assumption in dog owners that you should not ad vitamins or minerals to a dog unless it is sick or pregnant. That is not true. Your dog should always be supplied with nutrients for good health.

You should provide your pregnant dog with the sufficient supplements for its pregnancy. Being pregnant it should be receiving as much nutrition as its body needs to stay healthy.

Why should you start preparing your dog for this nutrition even before it is pregnant? Dogs usually do not show signs if being pregnant until the pregnancy is about 5 weeks or so. By starting it on supplements a standard practice, you would be making sure that your pet is receiving enough nutrients while it is pregnant, although you do not realize that yet. During these 4-5 weeks, the nutrients will provide good nutrition to the unborn pups.

While a dog is pregnant, it is going through a lot of hormonal changes. She may go through a period of not wanting to eat, and go into a hunger strike for days and days at a length. Missing meals is detrimental to pregnant dogs’ health, and this is when the supplementation makes a huge difference in its health.

Adding vitamins and minerals your dog is missing from her hunger fasts may help maintain its health, although you should not resort to replacing its meals with pills and powders. There are times where she will refuse to eat, and you can give her something that she will look forward to such as treats and mix the supplementation powder into it to ensure she remains healthy.

Although this may seem like a strange idea, you should consider feeding your dogs raspberry leaves. It seemed like a new supplement idea, but this is actually an old practice some successful dog breeders use. They will chop up the leaves and put it into their food for them to eat.

You might wonder at the effects of raspberry leaves. It is said that the leaves will help your dog with the contractions for delivery, and it enables it to keep up with the amount of contractions. If may not be 100% proven that it truly helps your dog, but there is no harm adding it to her diet. Raspberry leaves are available at most health food stores.

Lemon Detox Diet for Essential Body Cleansing

The diet of choice in North America consists principally of processed food with little or no nutritional value. This common regimen of food puts quite a bit of stress on our elimination systems, because there is so much more waste than our bodies are designed to cope with. One way to give the body a much needed help is to undergo a lemon detox diet for cleansing the body and allowing our systems to recover from the strain of a processed food diet.

The lemon detox diet involces substituting a mixture of water, lemon and other ingredients for solid food over a period of time. The specific time frame can be varied depending on your previous experience with detoxifying your body, and the results you are hoping to attain.

Lemon Detox Diet Recipe

To prepare a glass of the lemon beverage that is used in the lemon detox diet, you will need two tablespoons of natural sweetener, such as blackstrap molasses or brown rice syrup, two tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger to taste. Fill your glass containing these ingredients with hot or cold water and enjoy! Whenever you feel the urge to grab something to munch, mix yourself a glass of lemon drink instead. For most effective results, aim to consume six to nine glasses each day.

How long to follow the Lemon Detox Diet?

The length of the lemon detox diet will vary, based on your health, prior experience detoxing, and personal preference. A full detox would take at least seven to ten days. If you prefer a less stringent version of the diet, you may substitute only two meals a day with the lemon drink, and eat one full meal at lunch time.

If you opt for this more lenient approach, your detox program can continue for up to one month. You can also go on a maintenance plan that includes a detox day for each week. This program can be the easiest for many people to follow, and will give satisfacory results.

The toughest part of the lemon detox diet is usually the mental component. It is hard enough to think about going for any period of time without solid food. Nevertheless, if you can keep positive and stick to your lemon detox diet, you will see good results that will hearten you to continue. Don’t forget, by the end of the process, your body will be cleansed and renewed and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you set yourself on the road to better health.

Google Desktop Manual

Google released the first version of their Desktop application back in 2004. This program allows you to instantly search your computer for specific content, just like you would normally search the web using google.com. It looks in your email messages, chat logs, media content, zipped archives and the web. But Google Desktop offers much more features than just searching through your local files. The program can be downloaded for free at the official website (desktop.google.com) or at http://www.freesecuredownloads.com. It’s available for MAC OS X, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows server 2000. In 2007, Google released the latest Windows version - 5.0.

1. Installation

The installation of Google Desktop is a straightforward process, requiring minimum user input. Just download the application from http://desktop.freesecuredownloads.com and run the installer. It will install the software and place a little icon on your Window system tray, and make a desktop shortcut. Once the installation process is completed, a browser window will open up, asking you to set up a few preferences. When you click on the ‘Set Preferences and Continue’ button, the initial indexing will start. Google Desktop is programmed to startup automatically with Windows. When your computer remains idle for more than 30 seconds, it will start to index the files on the hard drive, which depending on the size, could take up a few hours. Therefore, it’s maybe a good idea to leave Google Desktop do its indexing for one whole night, or when you are going out for a few hours.

According to Google, the recommended system requirements are at least 256MB of RAM and a 600Mhz or faster CPU. Although, the installer itself is quite tiny - just over 2MB, once installed Google Desktop can take up to 4GB of space on your hard drive for the indexing file (containing the location and description of all files found on your computer). If you want to check just how much space is the indexing file taking, go to C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMELocal SettingsApplication DataGoogleGoogle Desktop Search, replace USERNAME with your actual username in Windows.

2. Interface

The interface of the application has undergone some dramatic changes. The latest version features a sidebar allowing users to personalize and customize the information they want to view, by clicking the title bar of a given panel and dragging it anywhere you want on the screen. The separate panels on the sidebar are called gadgets. To add more gadgets, point your mouse on top of the Sidebar and press Add. A new window appears containing the different gadgets that you can add alongside the existing ones. The gadgets are sorted in categories, so that users can easily find the right one. Removing a gadget is as easy as adding it, just position the mouse on top of it and click on the ‘x’ button. If you want to hide the Sidebar when inactive, click on Options and put a check on the Auto-hide feature.

By default, the Sidebar consist of the following panels:

-Email - connected with your Gmail account (if you have one). You have to enter your Gmail username and password in Options -> Preferences. The Email option gets automatically synchronized with Outlook or Thunderbird, so it will show you all new email messages, even if the email account is not provided by Google

-Scratch Pad - stores random notes

-Photos - displays all photos from My Pictures folder

-News - contains the latest headlines from Google news

-Web Clips - shows the latest posts from your favourite RSS feeds

3. Indexing

The technology behind Google Desktop is called indexing. When you install the application, it indexes all files on your computer to make future searching more efficient. This makes the whole procedure quite faster than Windows’ built in Search, because instead of going trough every file on the computer, it just scans the card catalog. A great thing about this indexing procedure is that it’s being performed when you are not using your computer, so that it won’t slow down the system while you’re doing something important.

GD can index and manage a large quantity of resources as Office docs, media files, zipped archives, email, browser history and even chat sessions. For security reasons, it doesn’t index password protected documents and encrypted web pages, by default. Besides that, Google Desktop also tracks your activity while you are viewing web pages, files, reading and writing email messages. By doing that, it creates cached copes of the tracked information, so that the user can access it afterwards. In that way, it’s possible to search and access data even after the file no longer exists on the system.

Sometimes you need to manually re-index your system, in case you have moved files around and made some substantial changes to your hard drive. To re-index, right-click on the Google Desktop icon in the system tray, click on Indexing -> Re-Index.

4. Google up your Desktop

To start a local search using Google Desktop, enter the query string in the field at the bottom (by default). Results will immediately appear in a pop up window as you punch in the symbols. When you click on a given result, the specific file will be opened with the respective application. For example, if it’s an email, Outlook will open it up, or the default email client. If it’s a PDF file, Adobe Reader will load. Of course Google wouldn’t be Google if you didn’t have all the filters available in your search.

-”exact match” - if you put the search string in quotation marks, Google Desktop will return only exact matches.

-site: - the site: operator it will produce results from the website that you specify after it. For example, if you enter ‘help site:www.google.com”, it will return pages you have seen in google.com containing the word ‘help’

-filetype: - let’s you specify the filetype of the of the results returned. For example, if you enter ‘google filetype:pdf’, it will return only pdf files that contain the word google in them.

-under: - allows you to restrict the folders in which Google Desktop will search

-machine: - if you are using Google Desktop to search through several computers connected in one network, with the machine operator, you can specify a single computer to look into.

A great thing about GD is that it allows you search thoroughly your emails. If you enter ‘Subject: searchstring’, it will return all emails with subject matching the searcstring. In the same way you can use the other available email operators such as - To, From, Cc, Bcc.

5. Inspector Gadget

The basic functionality of Google Desktop is local searching, but a lot of extensions are available in the form of plug-ins, called gadgets. Those gadgets are free of charge and can be downloaded from http://desktop.google.com/plugins, where you will see them divided into separate categories. The installation of those gadgets is absolutely a ‘no-brainer’, just click on the one you like, confirm and it will immediately integrate itself into your GD.

The programmers at Google have also released the SDK using which, you can develop your own gadgets and publish them if you want. You can download the Google Desktop SDK at http://desktop.google.com/downloadsdksubmit.

There are several gadgets that really stand out. The diGGGadget brings digg.com directly onto your desktop, so that you can easily browse the topics and categories. Another interesting one is the Dictionary gadget using which, you can look up any word when reading a web page. Just highlight it, press Ctrl + C to put in the clipboard and go on reading your text, the result will appear on the Sidebar.

6. The Timeline

The GD Timeline is like a diary of your daily computer operations, showing you a detailed list of everything you did, every file you opened, every website you visited, when you visited it, every email received in a minute by minute breakdown. Just double-click on the system tray icon of GDesktop and then click on ‘Browse Timeline’. You will see today’s timeline with the most recent events being placed on top. To filter out certain events, click ‘emails’, ‘web history’ or ‘chats’ at the top of the screen. If you want to clear the list (quite often it can get overpopulated), press the ‘Remove events’ link and don’t worry, this will not delete the corresponding file on your computer, it will just remove it from that list.

7. Security Concerns

There are a lot of security concerns surrounding GD. GD listens on port 4664 for connections to localhost or 127.0.0.1. When you have it installed and you open up google.com to search the web for something, you will see local results integrated into your search results, meaning that Google Desktop is transferring information to the server, hence an attacker could exploit it and gain access to a portion of the hard drive. To remove this insecure feature, go into Options -> Preferences -> Display and uncheck the Google Integration at the bottom.

8. Download

For a secure download of Google Desktop, free of any spyware or adware, go to http://desktop.freesecuredownloads.com.

10 Helpful Tips in Gaining Self-Esteem

Low self-esteem can lead to various problems in someone’s career, relationships and personal life. Low self-esteem can easily be transformed into depression which can further affect one’s metal, physical and social disposition.

Respected psycho-therapist, Dr. Nathaniel Branden, defines self-esteem as the “disposition to experience oneself as being competent enough to be able to keep up with the challenges in one’s life.” The concept of self-esteem is basically all about how one views himself and his place in life itself. It is overall view of oneself based on reality.

Having a healthy self-esteem is important. It gives someone a positive outlook in life and this is reflected in his performance in his job, in his relationships and basically in everything that he does.

Here are 10 helpful tips on how one can boost his self-esteem.

1) Accept yourself

People should remember that everyone is unique and beauty is to be found in every human being. Yes, other people can be better in doing certain things but this fact shouldn’t hinder people from being the best that they can be.

Everybody is special and unique. A person’s true worth cannot be seen in only one dimension of his life. For example, people usually envy the rich, thinking that they have everything and thus they are the happiest people in the world. However, the best things in life can never be bought by money. Stories of unhappiness among the rich are everywhere around us and this is a sign that wealth cannot be equated with happiness.

2) Self-Appreciation

Accepting oneself is different from appreciating oneself. Self-acceptance is a pre-requisite to self-appreciation but the latter must always be present. One might accept oneself under a pessimistic light and this is not very healthy. “I accept that I cannot do the things that I really want to do because I am weak” is a sample statement which depicts an unhealthy self-acceptance.

Appreciating oneself under a positive light is a definite self-esteem booster. One must highlight the good things about him and try to reinforce them and be better at those things.

3) Refrain from Comparing

Low self-esteem can be brought by the environment. Again, this can be traced to the lack of self-acceptance. Everybody is different and you have qualities that no other person has. A general sense of self-worth should be built without comparing oneself to other people.

4) Don’t Put Yourself Down

Nobody’s perfect. Making a mistake is definitely normal and people should start accepting this fact. People with low self-esteem tend to put themselves even lower by continuously and harshly putting themselves down. An inner voice which reverberates inside their heads tells them that there is no hope. This should not be the case and having control over the inner voices can be the solution for this problem. Cut yourself some slack, you’ve done your best and that’s what’s important.

5) Befriend Positive People

Having friends who are positive towards dealing with life’s challenges can influence someone into seeing life in the same light and eventually build his self-esteem.

6) Remind Yourself of the Positive Things About You

Again, there is beauty in everyone. Remember all the things that you like about yourself and the good things which you have done and make a list of the most striking ones. This will help in self-appreciation and definitely give you something to smile about.

7) Use tools

Buying books, cd’s and other materials about building self-esteem wouldn’t hurt, would it? These materials can definitely provide some informative ways on how to deal with low self-esteem. However, buying these materials would be useless if the lessons which they give wouldn’t be applied in real life.

8) Engage in Fun Activities

Having fun once in a while releases stress, takes the negative ideas out of one’s head and leaves space for positive thoughts to fill in. Having fun makes one feel happy about oneself.

9) Hangout with Friends

Having fun can be done privately but nothing beats fun with friends. Friends are usually a part of the primary support group of a person and can provide much needed conversations for a down-and-out person.

10) Seek Help

When all else fail, seek professional help from a psychologist. There’s nothing wrong with taking care of yourself since low self-esteem can lead to more serious problems.

Having low self-esteem can be solved with the right tools and the right attitude. Loving yourself is the ultimate way which leads to a healthy and a better “you.”

Contemporary Rustic Style

One of the fastest growing styles of home decor is rustic or lodge theme decor. This growing popularity has been accompanied by a maturation of the style. No longer does rustic mean kitschy, rusty, or rickety. The ‘New Rustic’ can be described as casual living with an emphasis on natural materials. I like to think of it as contemporary rustic or contemporary lodge decor. It features clean lines and modern style but incorporates natural materials whenever possible. some of the hallmarks of contemporary rustic decor are:

1. Using cute forest animals in excess is out. It’s OK in moderation, but be careful not to have to many bears and moose throughout the house.

2. Using items typically considered ‘contemporary’ with a rustic twist. If you love a contemporary lighting or bath fixture and just have to have it, order it with a darker, antiqued finish and it will fit right into your rustic decor.

3. Contemporary rustic furniture features straighter lines and refined profiles than in the past. The popularity of wrought iron furniture is a very good example.

4. Rustic linens have become much more luxurious and sophisticated. Lodge style bedding used to be made of low quality fabric and feature somewhat juvenile themes. Now it is easy to find rustic themed bedding of exceptional quality and with more mature themes. Even table linens have evolved. Faux leathers in crocodile, ostrich, and suede are being used extensively.

5. Contemporary rustic incorporates natural materials whenever possible. Granite counter-tops, wrought iron furniture, stone fireplaces, leather sofas, and log furniture are good examples.

Keep in mind that a room must appear balanced, and that many mountain and lake homes have features that can overwhelm a room if not properly managed. A stone fireplace or honey colored, log walls require strong accents that will be noticed and not lost so to speak. Texture and fabric play a large role in designing a well balanced, rustic room. With sleeker lines in furnishings and fixtures, you must use area rugs and throw pillows to add interest and charm to a room. Rustic decorating is maturing into a sophisticated yet casual style that is sure to please urban and rural homeowners alike.

Tips On Improving Your Memory

Have you ever castigated yourself for failing to remember almost everything that would have made your life better? Like that one occasion when you just stared at your boss’ wife while she was talking to you, just because you forgot that she was the Number One man’s wife? This cost you your promotion and would have caused you your job if not for some saving graces like your former job performance rate.

Or what about that day when you were supposed to make a product presentation to a very important client but you forgot all about it and took a leave of absence? Luckily, your client called up your office to cancel the appointment because she was sick.

But don’t kill yourself first. You’re not getting dumber or older; it’s just that you have failed to develop good memory skills that would have made you remember these things. As experts say, there is no good or bad memory; only unorganized thoughts.

A poor memory is equal to poor recollection of things. If you keep forgetting things, then don’t blame your memory because it’s not the culprit. What you should blame is the little or lack of attention you place on things.

Most people, at one time or another, have experienced memory loss. It is synonymous with forgetfulness or what others refer to as being scatterbrained. To solve this problem, you have to realize that your inability to recall is caused by other things like retention problems, being overworked, information overload and stress.

There are people who are plain slow in recalling things, not because they are stupid but because they do not practice their recalling skills. It’s all a matter of getting the right skills for recollection.

A person who is overworked is also prone to forgetting things, particularly trivial things that may be related or unrelated to their work. Because of too much work, you have no choice but to focus your attention on more important things like the work at hand.

The media revolution is responsible for bombarding us with information. Often, people get information overload. There’s just too much information going on in our heads that we tend to forget the things that matter most.

There are several things we encounter in our daily lives that are called memory tasks. Among these are names (of family and friends, of people we meet and of people we do business with), birthdays, dates (like when do we have to go to the doctor for check up), anniversaries and phone numbers.

A good memory will help improve your status in life. It will come in handy both in your personal life and in your business dealings. Do you know that most successful people are the ones who can easily remember things like names?

And yet, a name is one thing that we always forget. Remembering names is one of the most important assets we can have, whatever job we are in. It may be a cliche but it is true that his or her name is the sweetest word that can be said to a person. Experiment on this by asking for the names of salesladies, or the doctor’s secretary and then call them by their first names. The next time you visit them, you will surely be treated like a friend.

To be good in recalling names, listen attentively whenever a person is introduced to you. Then repeat his or her name, and mentally connect the person’s name to an object or event familiar to you. Link the name to a funny thing or event, the better the chances of recall.

We discussed ways to improve your memory in previous chapters, however this is another tactic that is a bit different. This strategy for recalling information is through the use of “mnemonics.” Mnemonics is a memory tool or device that aids the memory in recalling information. Mnemonics can be used through our imagination. It means associating things by its size, shape, color or smell. You can also create your own mnemonics by connecting and clashing images in your mind.

If you often forget numbers like your bank account, then it would be best to create a mnemonic for it. Associate the numbers of your bank account with numbers that are significant to you life. Like if the first numbers of your bank account is 05993, and you happen to be born in May, then you can remember the first two numbers by associating it with your month of birth. The double nine is easier to associate with nine twins, and three with your house number.

Use Yoga To Get Headache Relief

Well, I think that most people do, if only occasionally, mainly because of our hectic lifestyles and associated stresses.

It’s all too easy to reach for the pills but why put what is effectively poison into your body if you can help it.

If your headaches are frequent, the wisest move is to consult your doctor but if they are only spasmodic then are some very useful yoga exercises that could help to drive the stress away. As soon as you start to feel a headache coming on, and obviously if it is convenient, you should begin the following yoga exercises. Any delay will make the headache more difficult to alleviate.

Yoga Position No. 1 - Balasana (Child’s Pose)

Kneel down and with your feet touching each other, sit back onto your heels. Spread your knees apart as wide as your hips. Breathe in and then breathe out and while you do so lean forward so that your body is as close as possible to your thighs. Stretching out your arms, turn your palms upwards. Relax your shoulders to the floor. You should be able to feel a stretch between your shoulder blades. Stay like this for 30 seconds to a few minutes. Slowly and gently lengthen your body and breathe in and come up.

Yoga Position No. 2 - Downward Facing Dog

Kneel with your hands on the floor just in front of your shoulders, palms spread and facing forward, knees below the hips and the toes under and forward, feet slightly apart. Inhale slowly and start to lift up your knees and heels. As you do so round the tailbone away from the pelvis and by pushing forward with the hands raise your bottom towards the ceiling and tuck the top of your thighs into your groin area. Exhale slowly and as you do so straighten your legs until the knees are only slightly bent at the same time bringing the heels back into contact with the floor. Tense the muscles of the thighs and press lightly inwards. Gradually straighten the arms using the fingers for leverage, and then close the shoulder blades against each other, slight pause before widening them and push them down towards your bottom. The back will then become straight or slightly concave. Control your head as it stays between your arms, don’t just let it hang loosely. Inhale and hold for 1-2 minutes then bend the knees slowly to the floor back to the start position exhaling as you do so.

Yoga Position No. 3 - Standing Forward Bend

Stand in a relaxed position with your hands on your hips. Breath in and out, as you exhale bend forward slowly from the hips. Imagine that your body is lengthening as you lift upwards. Keeping your knees as straight as you are able, place the palms of your hands on the floor either in front of you, besides your feet or at the back of your ankles. Breathe in and lift and lengthen your body slightly, breathe out and release a little more into the pose. Relax your head completely and stay in the pose for 30 seconds to one minute. To come up, place your hands on your hips, breathe in and straighten your spine slowly.

Yoga Position No. 4 - The Bridge Pose

Lie flat on the floor, preferably on a yoga mat. If, required, support your neck with a folded towel or similar. Bend your knees, bringing your feet as close to your bottom as possible. Exhale slowly, pressing your feet and arms down onto the floor. Push your tailbone upwards and into the pubis, firm your buttocks and lift them off the floor. Balance by putting your hands onto your pelvic area. Keep lifting until your thighs are level with the floor. Keep your knees directly over your heels, but push them forward away from your hips. Lift up your lower hips and bring in and upwards towards your naval. Stay in this pose for 30 seconds to one minute, breathe out and release, rolling the spine slowly down onto the floor.

Any or all of these poses should help you to fight off your headache.

- Water has a boring taste, you can buy water with fruit extracts on it and no this is not lemonade. Or of course you can add some juice from an orange or lemon yourself.

- Drink water from the bottle and not from a glass, I know your parents have told you otherwise but if you drink water from a bottle you will drink much more.

- Put a bottle of water on at least four common places where you spend your time. Kitchen, living, your sleeping room a your office for example.

- If your urine has a dark colour it means that you will have to drink more.
Although some people can have dark urine trough taking medicines.

- Do not drink ice cold water you can have some problems with your stomach.

You have read now how water will help you with losing weight.
Now grab a bottle of water drink from it and enjoy it.

Why Choose Inflatable Kayaks?

Why Choose Inflatable Kayaks?

I don’t consider myself an expert paddler, by far. I have enjoyed kayaking and canoeing for over 30 years. My experiences have taken me down the Snake River, Idaho, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and a few ventures that add up to about 20-30 paddling adventures. I have seasoned over the years and I look for ease, reliability, comfot, and convenience in my adventures.

The ease of spending a few minutes of unloading and inflating, I know I will spend more time doing what I like, enjoying the outdoors! Being experienced, I know the reliability and control you need when hitting those rough areas and being light makes it easy to cruise the flats.

These are not toys! Comparing the patented designs and construction, they are similar to molded or rigid kayaks. I do take my pump and repair kit with me, but I only had to pump it up a little. Like a balloon, the temperature will, hot/cold, affect the pressure of the kayak. Just a couple of pumps, I am back in action.

Well, I am in my 50’s and I enjoy a few more comforts in life. When you carry, drag, cart, etc. that hard-shell kayak, it sure becomes a little more uncomfortable and tougher to launch in those hard to reach areas. The typical inflatable kayak weighs 30 lbs or less, and it can be carried on a backpack, with paddle and PFD Vest, with little effort.

To bad I can’t go back in time. I know how much more fun it would have been with the family. When you live in apartments, condos, and even a home, it is so inconvenient to move and store the hard-shell kayaks. All the preparation loading up the trailer, dedicating the extra time neccessary to pull out of the storage area, having a truck and trailer, and finding a place to launch. Now, I drive an SUV, and I carry a canoe, 2 kayaks, and camping gear for 4 in the back. My storage in the garage is minimal, but there is plenty of room to handle my weekend or anytime adventures.

Of course, there are disadvantages to the inflatable kayaks:

They are not as robust as rigid plastic ones.
Inflatables are affected by wind a lot more, exercise caution if using on the sea.
A Buoyance Aid should be worn at all times or a lifejacket if a non-swimmer.
Inflatable kayaks and canoes do not give you the same performance as plastic kayaks or canoes, but you can find products that have quality and design as close as you can get!

If you have an interest in finding out more, Paddling is a great word search for researching. This was the first place I started my research.
