Delightful Features of the iPod Shuffle

The iPod Shuffle offers music lovers the chance to carry their music, audiobooks and podcasts with them wherever they go. This product carries some unique features that make managing songs and other data a cinch.

iPod Shuffle Uses

One reason music fans love the iPod Shuffle is because it has many uses. Podcasts are web news feeds or feeds with updates from particular websites. From the iPod Shuffle, a user can subscribe to a feed from any website that offers one and receive the podcast (or broadcast) through their iPod Shuffle device when connected to the Internet. The podcasts might be updates of the latest music or movies or anything else. Whatever the user’s likes, they can subscribe to receive the updates directly to their device.

The iPod Shuffle can be used to download songs from a CD or the Internet to listen to on the go, whether in the car, on a bike, or taking a walk. Radio-style shows can be delivered to the device as well as audiobooks for the bookworm who doesn’t have time to read. These items can be downloaded from sites such as iTunes Store or Audible.com.

Unique Features and Controls

Some of the features available on an iPod Shuffle include a headphones port, top status light, previous or rewind button, next or fast forward button, a shuffle switch, a bottom status light, volume controller, and a play/pause button.

Users can also organize their music by title and playlists. This makes it easy to find and select any song on demand. Some devices hold up to 1,000 to 2,000 songs or more so organization is a must!

Another great feature is the capability to convert songs with a higher bit-rate format such as AIFF to smaller sized files so they can be loaded onto the iPod Shuffle. This can be accomplished without affecting the quality of sound in the song. The iPod Shuffle is also great for file storage as an external disk.

Whether you want updates by podcast, great music or audiobooks on the go, or just a new gadget to show off to your friends, the iPod Shuffle is a great choice!

Fishing Tid Bits How To Fish Part 8

This is going to be my eighth article on fishing tid bits. I am so far getting a great response to these articles. These articles are meant to have tips that everyone can use. Most of the seasoned anglers might even find a helpful tip or two in these articles. Eventually I will turn this into an eBook so go ahead and take advantage of it now. Make sure you tell your friends and families about the fishing tips articles because all I ask in return is that you go out and enjoy the fine fun of fishing.

1. Is Your Rod Jammed

Sometimes, especially at the beginning of a new season you go to pull your rod apart and it just won’t budge. You can forge it with something but then you stand the chance of breaking it. So this is what you should do. You will make the rod contract if you wrap ice around it where it joins or leave it outside in the cold and then simply pull it apart.

2. Right Depth Crank baits

You probably have a bunch of crank baits in your tackle box but do you know what depths they are used for. Crank baits are built to run at many different depths and once you throw the package out all will be forgot. You should buy a marker that’s water proof and mark the running depth on each crank bait. That way with a quick glance you can tie on the right hook and get fishing.

3. Perch Eyes For Bait

I have had great luck using perch eyes to catch more perch or walleye. When you catch a feed of perch you should keep all the eyes when you go to clean your fish. Don’t just throw them in the freezer because they will go all mushy. So what you want to do is put them in a little jar with salt water. This will keep them fresh until your next fishing trip.

4. Backlash Can Be Such A Mess

What you want to do to avoid backlash because it even affects the most seasoned anglers. You want to cast as far as you can a few times. Once you have done this then you can string out a couple more feet. At that point you can put on some masking tape to make sure your bird nests don’t appear more often then they need to.

5. Canoe Rod Holders

So many rods so often get broke in canoes because there just isn’t any good storage for rods in canoes. The usually slide to the center where they end up in danger of getting crushed or snapped. I fastened a piece of pipe under the seats of my canoe right along the edge on both sides. Now when traveling I store my rods in there and they are out of the way plus they are out of the way to get damaged.

This is the end of my eighth edition on my series on fishing tips. I hope so far everyone is finding useful tips that they can use or save for a later day.

How to Get Free and Cheap Traffic Offline

There are many times that you would like to advertise locally, whether it is a website you are promoting, or an offline business. The following tips on ways to get free and cheap traffic can work for both of these. These all have the possibilities of reaching a lot of people, yet don’t cost much (and some are even free), and most don’t take much time, so they are worth trying.

One easy way to get people to find out about your business is to create flyers. It just costs a few cents to print out a flyer on your printer, or to photocopy a bunch of flyers. You can leave them many different places such as bulletin boards at supermarkets, Laundromats and other similar locations. If people are interested when they see your flyer, they will go to your website or call the number on the flyer.

Something similar you can do is create business cards, and give them out to everyone. You never know when someone will see your card and become very interested in what you have to say. You can give them out to friends and family and ask them to pass it along. You can also leave the cards other places so that strangers may find them and go to your site as well.

If you put your website, phone number, or address on a t-shirt, you could end up getting a lot of people to look at it. You can create the shirt yourself, or get it professionally done for just a few dollars. The great thing is depending on where you go, for just the price of the shirt you can get a lot of people to look at it. Think about it, if you were walking around a crowded mall, a lot of people might get a look at your shirt. If it said something striking or interesting, they might be convinced to go to your website, or call your number to order your service.

Another cheap way to get traffic to your website or business is to put an ad in the local paper. It usually doesn’t cost too much to put an ad locally, and you will usually still have a good amount of people who will see the ad. This can be a great way to get people to see your website or find out about your business.

If your town has a welcoming committee, you might want to find out more about it. Some towns give away a basket filled with goodies such as samples, coupons, and other information about services in the town. This can be a great way to get the information out about your business.

If you drive a lot, you might consider having a sign made for your car. This way anytime you drive around, different people will get a chance to see what your website is about, and you could get new people to visit it. This works especially well for those who are driving many times during the week, since there is a better chance more people will see the ad.

If you get a small “freebie” that you can give away with your business on it, such as a pen or magnet, that is another way to get a lot of people to know about your website and business. There are many people who love getting free things, and if they see your pen or magnet or bottle opener with your website on it, they might be interested enough to visit it.

There are many ways that are cheap or even free that you can get traffic to your website or business. You just need to think of what you notice while you are out and about, and see what other people would notice as well.

Flexor Digitorum Profundus And Superficialis

Neck pain due to C6, C7 nerve root irritation is more common than C8 nerve root irritation. The median nerve which carries the C5 through C8 nerve root fibers provides C7 and C8 nerve root fibers to the flexor digitorum superficialis.

Pain and spasm in the flexor digitorum superficialis will be more commonly due to C7 nerve root irritation. Pain and spasm in this muscle will be felt in the front of the forearm, elbow and in the fingers.

When there is stiffness in these muscles, the patient will note difficulty in closing the fingers as in making a fist. To treat this muscle effectively, selective activation must first be performed to the muscles at the back of the forearm.

Treatments should therefore begin with the wad of three (brachioradialis, extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis), extensor digitorum in the of the muscles on the back of the forearm.
After these muscles are treated, it will be easier to treat flexor digitorum superficialis in order for this muscle to relax effectively.

Flexor digitorum superficialis muscle arises from the medial epicondyle of the arm bone (humerus), coronoid process of the inner forearm bone (ulna) bone and from the shaft of the outer forearm bone (radius). It inserts into the palmar aspect of the middle phalanx of all the fingers except the thumb.
Its action is to bend the elbow, wrist and fingers.
Its primary action is to bend the middle phalanx and this muscle is involved in making a fist.

Natural Herbs for Allergies - Treat Allergies Without Medication

Modern medicine has made many advances over the years in treating allergy symptoms. Sometimes the cure may be worse than the illness. Many decongestants will lead to a dry mouth and a rise in blood pressure. Antihistamines tend to make you drowsy and groggy.

Are there any natural herbs that will help treat the symptoms of allergies without all of the unpleasant side effects? The good news is that you can find many natural herbs for allergies that will offer relief from your symptoms the holistic way. Natural herbs that will actually help to prevent the symptoms rather than treating them once they start. This can be an effective way of managing many of the seasonal allergies that a number of people suffer from.

I have heard about antihistamines, but what are they?

Antihistamines prevent the body from producing histamines. Histamines are a chemical by product when antibodies attack a foreign substance in the body. For allergy suffers, the body has mistakenly identified a benign substance to be a threat to the body. The immune system has created an antibody to attack and destroy this threat. Histamines create the allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and coughing, so when your body cannot produce as many, your symptoms are reduced as well.

Herbal Antihistamines

Stinging Nettle - This herb works very well as a natural antihistamine, without the drowsiness that comes from using many of the over-the-counter medicines that are available. Stinging nettle can be purchased in capsule form from many natural food and vitamin stores today.

Butterbur - Another herbal antihistamine, which is a harder herb to come by in the United States, but nevertheless effective as a natural means of treating allergies.

Quercetin - Is another good natural herb for allergies, and has the added benefit of acting as a natural antioxidant that can reduce the risk of some types of cancer.

Plantain - Has been used for a long time in treating respiratory complaints including cough and inflammation. It also has anti-catarrhal and antispasmodic properties.

Chamomile - According to German studies it may slow allergic reactions, such as those that trigger asthma attacks, by increasing the adrenal glands’ production of cortisone, which reduces lung inflammation and makes breathing easier.

Before taking a natural herb to treat your allergies, consult with your allergy doctor before taking anything. Some herbs can have side effects with other herbs. They can also have potentially dangerous interactive effects when taken with other over the counter and prescription medicines.

Selling Real Estate - 9 Tips For Showing Your Home To Potential Buyers

You may have lived in your current home for years and it may be as comfortable as an old sweatshirt, but when it’s time to show off your property to potential buyers, it’s normal to feel nervous. Buyers will want to walk into your home and peek everywhere to get an idea of the property. You don’t have to stress out when showing your home to potential buyers, though. Follow these nine expert tips to create a great impression:

1) Have a plan of where you’ll be.
If an agent is showing your home, take your children and pets and plan to be absent from the home. Potential buyers will not want to discuss your home in front of you and may feel awkward about opening doors or having a good look around. Of course, if you are selling your home yourself, you will have to show the property. In this case, practice a warm greeting and plan on giving potential buyers free reign while you excuse yourself to another part of the house for a few moments.

2) Make the price attractive.
Most buyers consider price first. No matter how much you love your property, when you are showing your house potential buyers may want to bargain.

3) Maximize your curb appeal.
When showing your home to potential buyers, be aware that the buyer’s impression of a property begins well before the front door. Make your entrance as pleasant as possible. Rake the leaves, mow the lawn, and clear the snow. The front door or porch should be perfectly scrubbed and free of clutter. If it’s dark, light up the entrance as attractively as possible.

4) Make sure your home is tidy.
Clean scrupulously and ruthlessly get rid of clutter. It’s not too extreme to get rid of as much as possible and put any excess items into storage. A month or two of storage will not cost much and will help make the best possible impression on home buyers. Consider a fresh coat of paint and a professional cleaning service, if possible. At the very least, touch up the paint and do the most thorough cleaning you can do yourself.

5) Keep everything in the home functional.
Go through your home and open and close every drawer, door, cabinet, and cupboard. Flip every light switch. Everything in your home should work perfectly or potential home buyers may get the impression that your home is not in good repair.

6) Adjust the temperature.
Forget about your ideal temperature. Make sure your home is cozy warm in the winter and cool and inviting in hot weather. When showing your home, this lets potential buyers see that heating and cooling systems work well.

7) Look out for scents.
A pleasantly scented home is a must when showing a property but avoid spraying the property with any perfumes or air fresheners. Far too many people are allergic to scents, and it goes without saying that you will lose the sale if a possible buyer breaks out in hives because you sprayed scent a little too enthusiastically. Instead, consider simmering cinnamon in water or baking bread or cookies just before buyers arrive. Make sure the treats are available for buyers to munch on as they browse. If you live in a quiet neighborhood, you may simply choose to leave a few windows open to let in fresh air.

8) Get someone to do a walk-through.
Have them pretend they are the buyer. Make sure they ask you lots of questions, give your home the sniff test and open every drawer, faucet, and door. It’s amazing what an impartial observer will notice.

9) Make your home appear as large and bright as possible.
Remove as much as possible from your closets and storage areas – without leaving your home looking bare. If you are repainting for the showing, be sure to repaint in a shade that is slightly lighter to create the impression of light. Consider leaving curtains open or additional lamps lit when showing your home to potential home buyers – buyers like to see a home that is airy and light.

Showing your home to potential buyers can feel a little like a blind date. With these tips, though, you will be able to rest a little easier. While each step may seem like additional work, it will pay off when a buyer turns to you and says “we’ll take it!”

Green Tea

What is green tea?

Green tea does not come from a different plant than “real” tea. In fact, all true teas, including green tea, come from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The difference between green tea the beverage and other real tea beverages, besides the green color, is the way tea leaves are processed before brewing.

Processing green tea

Tea leaves are typically processed in some form before they are used for brewing into tea beverages. For most teas other than green tea, tea leaves are fermented. For green tea, tea leaves are steamed. This causes less oxidation of tea leaves than fermentation does. As a result, green tea has its unique green tint and it contains higher levels of antioxidants than other teas.

Green tea’s popularity

Green tea has been most popular in the Middle East and parts of Asia, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, India and Thailand. In fact, there are numerous varieties of green tea alone enjoyed in these parts of the world.

In the Western world, black tea has been the traditional favorite of tea drinkers. But green tea is also becoming popular there.

Brewing green tea

Because green tea is a little different from darker teas, it is brewed a little differently than other teas. The principal difference is the temperature of the water.

Darker teas are usually brewed with boiling water. Green tea is brewed with water that is slightly cooler than boiling, but still hot.

If you wish to brew green tea yourself, make sure to follow the directions offered by the manufacturer of the green tea you purchased.

In the absence of directions, pour cold water into a teapot or saucepan. Place it on a stove, set to high heat, and bring the water to a boil. When the water begins to boil, remove it from the source of heat. Let it sit two to three minutes, and only then pour it over the green tea. Let the tea steep for as long as three minutes, then either remove the tea bag, or the loose tea leaves.

Your green tea is now ready for you to enjoy.

Green tea’s supposed health benefits

Green tea has long been believed to impart a number of health benefits to those who drink it. It has been said to help with everything from curing or preventing diseases (including cancer and AIDS), to burning fat, to reducing cholesterol and more.

Modern medicine has produced a number of studies on green tea’s health effects, but these have been inconclusive, with some reports claiming green tea helps with a number of health issues, while other reports claiming that green tea does not have any particular health benefits.

What we do know about green tea is that it contains a number of antioxidants, and it contains caffeine, although in lesser amounts than coffee, many sodas and darker teas.

But while green tea’s health benefits are debatable, there is no reason why this should prevent those who like green tea from enjoying a cup of their favorite beverage.

Derrick Vandyke’s Affiliate Cash Secrets Review - Is The Affiliate Cash Secrets Program Any Good?

This short article is intended to give an impartial review of Derrick Vandyke’s Affiliate Cash Secrets program based on my own experiences since the program was launched in the summer of 2006.

What is it?
The program is designed to show ‘newbies’ how to make money from Affiliate Marketing on the internet and will teach even the most inexperienced how to actually make money on the internet. The beauty of this system, and affiliate marketing in general is that you do not need a website or a product of your own to get started.

So,how does it work?
Derrick teaches people the correct way to make money as an affiliate and that is by promoting squeeze pages, also called lead capture pages with the intention of capturing names and e-mail addresses to build a mailing list. It is a well known fact that most people who visit your website will not buy the first time around. So by building a mailing list and sending out regular mailing via your auto responding some of these people will buy from you later on. Derrick also provides you with pre-written e-mails for you to send to your new list.

Does it cost anything?
All the training and the squeeze pages to promote Affiliate Cash Secrets are provided completely free of charge, also included is an affiliate organizer to help you keep track of your affiliate details for all the different products you will be promoting via your mailing list. One thing that is required though, to make this system work, is an auto responder and this will cost between $12 and $20 a month depending on which one you choose.
Derrick also offers a Gold Membership for around $30 a month and this is where he makes most of his money. Of course he offers so much more with this paid membership like, squeeze pages and free reports to promote some of the hottest selling products on the internet and helping to build your ‘lists’ even further.

Is it worth it?
The free membership is definitely worth it, the training offered here can be used to promote anything you want online. The Gold membership can be worth the expense if people are going to work the system and make use of the extra squeeze page and free reports.

Disadvantages
In my opinion some of the training offered is a bit basic, such as the section on e-zine advertising, which could do with expanding upon. One thing that Derrick and I disagree on is the subject of safelist advertising, in the training area Derrick advises against the use of safelists, whilst |personally get great results from using
this type of advertising. This just goes to show how some methods work for some people and not others.

Conclusion
This is a good program for ‘newbies’ to get to grips with Affiliate Marketing and a very easy program for newcomers and more experienced internet marketers to promote and make money whilst at the same time building a mailing list that, if used correctly, can make money for months and even years to come.

Flexor Carpi Radialis

Neck pain related to C6, C7 nerve root irritation is common. The median nerve carries the C6 and C7 nerve root fibers to muscles in the front of the forearm including pronator teres.
When there is pain and spasm in the muscles in the pronator teres, pain will be felt in the front of the elbow. By the time pain is felt in the front of the elbow, there has been long-standing weakness in the muscles at the back of the elbow and forearm. The muscles in this region are subjected to constant lengthening contractions that make them weak. This then allows for unopposed contraction of the muscles in the front of the elbow and forearm.

Therefore, treatments for elbow pain must begin with selective muscle activation for active contraction of muscles such as the triceps and the muscles at the back of the forearm such as the wad of three (brachioradialis, extensor carpi radialis longus and brevis), extensor digitorum, and the other adjacent forearm muscles. Pronator teres is a second-tier muscle for treatment using selective muscle activation with eToims Twitch Relief method for elbow pain.

Pronator teres superficial head arise from the lowermost and inner aspect (medial epicondyle) of the arm bone (humerus). The deeper head arise from upper end (coronoid process) of the inner forearm bone (ulnar). It inserts into the middle of the outer forearm bone (radius). Its action is to turn the palm backwards if the arm is beside the trunk (pronation).

Muscle Building Tips - Add 1 Inch to Your Arms in a Week - Part I

Most people who want bigger arms focus on training their arms. Makes sense, right? The problem is that your body will only allow so much disproportinate growth. In other words, if you don’t train your big muscles like you legs and back hard enough to make them grow, your arms will only get so big. So if you want big arms you need to train your legs and back hard.

There’s another complication with focusing on your arm training. Most people end up overtraining and not only do their arms refuse to grow, they get smaller and weaker which is the total opposite of what we’re trying to accomplish. Why does this happen? Most people, when trying to specialize on their arms, increase the volume and intensity of their arm training. The problem is that their biceps and triceps already get a lot of work via back, chest and shoulder training.

So how can we focus on our biceps and triceps without falling into the trap of overtraining? By training smarter and harder and not necessarily working longer. I’m always amazed at the arm training routines I see in the magazines; 5 or 6 exercises for the biceps and the same or more for the triceps, and a total of 15 to 20 sets of more. That’s nuts!

Here’s a great weight training routine that can add an inch or more to your arms in a week. That’s three total workouts. For this week, you’ll do a full body routine, working your entire body three nonconsecutive days per week. For example, training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Set totals don’t include warm ups

Squat - 2 x 10 - 12

Pullover - 1 x 10 - 12

Dumbbell Flye - 1 x 10 - 12

Dumbbell Upright Row - 1 x 10 - 12

Arm Specialization Routine

Triceps

Dip - Bodyweight x 1 rep

Tricep Pressdown 1 x 10 - 12 (6)

Biceps

Pullup - Bodyweight x 1 rep

Barbell Curl - 1 x 10 - 12 (6)

That’s it! Doesn’t look like much, does it? Ah, but let me explain how you perform the arm specialization routine. For the dip and the pullup, you perform the 1 rep in super slow. And I mean super slow. Perform the positive portion of the rep first and take 30 seconds to complete it. Then perform the negative and again take 30 seconds. The entire rep should take 60 seconds.

The next exercise (either the tricep pressdown or the barbell curl) is done in superset fashion. No rest for the wicked, or those that want big arms. Do a set to failure, failing around 10 to 12 reps. Then, drop some weight and immediately do a drop set that gets you around another 6 reps. That’s it. The work is very short but brutally intense.

Now, a lot of you may not be able to complete a 60 second rep on the pull up or the dip. That’s fine, do what you can and try to extend the time in each of the next two workouts. For those of you that are super strong (or if you get strong enough and go back to this routine later) you can try the ultimate one rep dip or pullup.

In this version you start with the negative instead and you do the following:

Negative - 30 seconds

Positive - 30 seconds

Negative - 30 seconds

Now, some keys to making this work. Obviously, you have to be ready to work extremely hard. That shouldn’t be a problem, as the routine is very, very short. If you’ve been working out hard for awhile, or doing very long workouts, you’ll probably get the most out of this routine by staying out of the gym for at least a week. Not easy, I know. I just did this myself after going all out for about 13 weeks. It was tough but I knew I needed it.

You also have to get enough nutritious calories. Have a high carb, high protein drink right after your workout.

Minimize any other physical activity. Get 6 meals a day with lots of protein and calories.
