Make Money on eBay - You Need Your Resale Products Quickly

Locating the right suppliers for products takes time, energy and perseverance. Often sellers who want to make money on eBay are so relieved when they finally locate the supplier they are seeking that they step back and breathe a sigh of relief without realizing that their job is not finished.

Many sellers don’t realize that once products are located there are other challenges just waiting to be addressed. Successfully resolving those challenges is key to sellers having the ability to make money on eBay. Those challenges are freight costs and timely delivery of the products that are being purchased for resale.

The first obstacle to overcome with delivery is pricing. To make money on eBay requires that everything possible be done to minimize freight costs. As fuel prices continue to increase, freight becomes a bigger and bigger part of the overall cost of merchandise. Sellers need to look to their suppliers to do everything possible to keep freight costs down. Sellers should also work to do everything that they can to minimize freight costs. That includes ensuring there is never empty space on a pallet. It also includes negotiating with freight companies to reduce freight costs.

The other piece of the freight equation is the speed of delivery. Once you have paid for the merchandise, it is money that you need to turn around to invest in new merchandise as quickly as possible. It does you no good to pay for freight and then have it sitting in someone’s warehouse. To that end expect your suppliers to ship immediately upon receipt of payment. Track your incoming shipments to ensure delays are minimized. It is impossible to make money on eBay if freight is not on hand and ready to ship once items have been sold on eBay.

Sellers need to ensure that they recognize the importance of freight to the success of their eBay business. Low freight costs and prompt delivery combine to affect a seller’s ability to make money on eBay. Recognize the freight challenge and do everything possible to minimize that challenge.
