Dry Skin and Eczema Require Skin-Friendly Soaps

Soaps are notorious for causing skin problems. The first recommendation for anyone with dry skin, eczema, acne, psoriasis, rosacea or just about any other skin problem is usually to avoid soap as much as possible and to ensure that whatever soap you do use is mild. The truth is: all soaps dry the skin somewhat and, no matter how mild the soap may be, you need the protection of a dry skin and eczema treatment product that will not wash off when you wash - for which thousands of doctors now recommend a shielding lotion. However, some soaps do cause less damage than others and you should know how to recognize them.

Here are the parameters:

* One of the most important factors is the pH level. Look for a pH of about 4 - 6: Skin has a more acid pH than the rest of the body to help neutralize bacteria. The packaging will either display the pH level or will say “pH balanced” - which means it has been balanced specifically for the skin. If the information is not displayed on the package, try checking on the Internet. The correct pH level is vital for soaps, as well as any other dry skin or eczema treatment you use.

* Buy soaps that are unscented. Some substances used as fragrance are highly irritating and are common allergens. Unfortunately, manufacturers don’t usually display the details on the packaging - they’re more likely to simply list ‘fragrance’ as an ingredient - so it’s best to stick with unscented varieties.

* Stay away from antibacterial soaps. Problem skin is more susceptible to infection than healthy skin, so it’s logical to think that an antibacterial soap would be effective as dry skin and eczema treatment. However, nothing could be further from the truth: anti-bacterial soaps usually contain triclosan, a chemical that is toxic to our bodies and the environment. Not only does the EPA list Triclosan as a toxic pesticide, giving it the highest scores regarding risk to human health and the environment, the manufacturing process of Triclosan is suspected of producing dioxin - the hormone-disrupting chemical in Agent Orange, widely used in chemical warfare during the Vietnam War. Agent Orange scorched 25 percent of Vietnam’s forests, increased the risk of death from cancer to 30 percent for those exposed to it, and produced an estimated 50,000 deformed children of parents who were either directly sprayed with it or exposed to it through contaminated food or water. Today, 30 years later, three million Vietnamese and tens of thousands of U.S soldiers still suffer the effects.

* Look for natural ingredients rather than simply a huge list of chemicals and nothing else. Look for substances like aloe vera, sea buckthorn oil and others that are known to have healing properties and read up on the chemicals in the list.

The second recommendation for dry skin or eczema treatment is usually to keep the skin slathered with moisturizers. The truth is, most moisturizers are worse than soap: effective dry skin and eczema treatment requires that you retain moisture and protect the skin from chemicals and other irritants. Traditional moisturizers usually contain chemical ingredients that make the skin feel smooth, but actually cause further irritation while robbing the skin of natural moisture. A good shielding lotion is your best bet because it will not irritate the skin, locks in moisture and keeps chemicals out.

Eighty percent of dry skin and eczema are caused by contact with irritants - take the hint: Get rid of soaps and moisturizers that exacerbate the condition and stick with natural soaps for cleansing and shielding lotion for dry skin care. These changes may be all you need to get rid of your dry skin or eczema, and it could be the end of your endless search for something that works.

Push Ups Anatomy

It’s one of the best exercises a person can perform and it can be done virtually anywhere. You can do push ups in many different ways and each way can have a different effect on your body.

If you were to read biographies or profiles of legendary athletes who possessed beautiful and functional physiques like Charles Atlas, Herschel Walker, and Woody Strode, you would find push ups (and its variations) were one of the primary bodyweight exercise they performed faithfully.

I have been performing all types of push ups - and there are many - for the last 5 years, after I stopped doing bench, and dumbbell presses. Not that there’s anything wrong with these methods, but I just wanted to save driving time to the gym and the cost of it as well. Even after 5 years, the variety of push ups I perform are very challenging and very effective in building upper body and core muscles.

If you know what you’re doing, by manipulating training parameters and being creative, the push up and its’ “cousins” can become very effective in muscle building and calorie burning routines. They literally work your whole body from your toes all the way up to your neck.

Let me give you some examples:

For example, one variety is the feet elevated push ups, where you place you’re feet on an elevated object like a

  • Chair
  • Bench
  • Bed
  • Sofa
  • Steps

This exercise puts a lot of emphasis on the shoulders and core muscles, and can be more challenging than the regular floor push up exercise. The higher the object the more difficult the exercise can be.

Also, you can manipulate this powerful exercise in many ways to place more emphasis on a certain group of muscles of your body than others by adding different movement patterns, angles and other parameters to your push ups.

For example, you can perform other push up variations like:

One leg push ups…In this exercise, you lift one leg off the floor and perform a number of repetitions (let’s say 8 reps) and then switch legs to perform another 8 reps. The one leg push ups can put more emphasis on your core (mid-section) and some of your hip flexor muscles.

On this particular exercise, try to keep your body level and not tilting to either side. Imagine you’ve placed an egg on your back and you’re trying to prevent it from falling to either side by keeping the body level while performing the one leg push ups.

Also, make sure when you perform a number of repetitions (example, 8 reps), you have enough energy and strength to perform 8 reps on the other leg and not more nor less. If you can’t perform the full 8 repetitions, start with 6 for example and challenge yourself to complete a full 6 before moving up to do a full 8 repetitions in one set.

Caterpillar push ups…This is such a versatile exercise for the following reasons:

  • Upper body strength
  • Stretching for posterior chain muscles
  • Strength endurance by performing a high number of repetitions

Here’s how you do the caterpillar push ups:

–stand with feet straight and hip width apart or wider stance

–bend at waist level and reach the ground with your hands (try not to bend your knees)

–now, “walk out” on your hands until your body is extended to push up pose

–perform a few push ups, then “walk in” on your hands, while keeping your legs straight as much as possible to return to a standing position (start position) again

–repeat these steps for your desired number of repetitions.

What if you can’t do regular bodyweight push ups? Now what?

There are modifications to make the regular push up less challenging, while at the same time can help you to progress to perform more advanced push ups.

Here are two examples of modified push ups:

Kneeling push ups…this exercise is the same as the regular push ups except you’ll be supported by your knees, not your feet. This method allows you to lessen the resistance or bodyweight.

Hand elevated push ups…again; this exercise is the same as the regular push ups except your hands can be placed on a:

  • bench
  • sturdy chair
  • bed
  • sofa
  • stool
  • steps

And so on…

General Guidelines For Performing Push up Exercise

–Don’t sway the back or stick the butt out

–Don’t bend your knees, rather keep the legs straight

–Keep the head in line with the back. In other words, don’t flex or extend your neck, keep it neutral (normal alignment)

–Breath in as you lower the body and breath out as you lift it

A controversial point

How far you can lower your body when performing push ups? If you have a normal healthy posture, you can lower the body to the point where you can brush the floor with your chest.

But if some individuals have some postural issues like forward sloping shoulders and/or head, then it can add undue stress which is not healthy, and which can lead to an injury. So please ask your qualified care provider about your posture to consider any postural issues you might have in performing your exercises.

Also start performing the push ups by lowering the body gradually and observe how it feels day after day. There is a difference between feeling a stretch or feeling pain, so if you feel the latter then stop immediately and see your qualified care provider. And always, trust your body if it’s telling you to stop or to continue.

Muscular analysis of push up exercise:

When you perform the regular push ups with proper form, your whole body is working. There are muscles that are performing different tasks, but they all work as one unit. Some muscles are lifting (concentric), lowering (eccentric), or holding in balance (isometric). Here’s a general list of these muscles…

Isometric contraction:

–Wrist and Hand muscles

–Leg (lower and upper) muscles

–Midsection (abdominus rectus, transversus abdominus, quadratus lumborum) muscles

–Neck muscles

Concentric and eccentric contraction:

–Elbow joint muscles ( ex., triceps brachii and anconeus)

–Shoulder joint muscles (ex., pectoralis major and anterior deltoid)

–Shoulder girdle muscles (ex., serratus anterior and pectoralis minor)

So here you have it, a great exercise that can be as versatile and creative as you want it to be, and effective in building muscle tissues and burning calories which can lead to a leaner, harder body.

Can God Forget?

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more” (Heb. 10:17).

We know that God forgives the sins of His people, but does He forget them? It would seem so. Our text suggests that He “will not remember” the sins committed against Him by His children (Isa. 43:25). Believers have always found a great deal of comfort in this blessed thought.

But then God calls upon us to likewise forgive others “even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Eph. 4:32). Doesn’t this suggest that we too should forgive and forget? Perhaps you are thinking, “But Pastor, you don’t know what they did to me!” True, but was it more than what was done to God when men crucified His Son? Remember, God’s vow to forgive and forget the sins of His people includes even the brutal murder of His only begotten Son.

We are tempted to think, “Well, it’s easy for God to forget,” but such is not the case. God says of the sins of unbelievers that He “will NEVER forget ANY of their works” (Amos 8:7). How then can this God of “total recall” forget our sins? Does His memory have a convenient “on/off” switch that makes it easy for Him to forgive and forget? If so, then we who do not have such a switch would have an excuse for forgiving but not forgetting. But if God has such a switch, would He not also have to erase His memory of Calvary, or else forever wonder why His Son had to die? But it cannot be that God could forget the Cross, for Revelation 5:6 joins John 20:27 to reveal that the Lord’s resurrection body will forever bear the scars of the Cross, making it impossible for God-or us-to ever forget His sacrifice for our sins.

What then is the answer to our question? Can God forget our sins? Perhaps the reader has noticed that we never read that God will forget the sins of His people, but rather that He “will not remember” them. By a deliberate act of His “will” He chooses to act toward us AS IF He has forgotten our sins, on the basis of the blood of the Cross. That’s how fully and completely He has forgiven our sins. And if we are to forgive others “as” God forgave us, then we too must choose to act toward others as if we have so fully forgiven their transgressions against us that we have forgotten them-also on the basis of Christ’s shed blood. This and this alone is complete forgiveness of others, and it is high spiritual ground indeed.

May God help us to begin the new year with a slate wiped clean of “all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking…with all malice” (Eph. 4:31).

How to Teach Classroom Mathematics

Some years ago, I got appointment as a Head of Pre-Entry Science Course Department at the Technical University in Balgravia. The Department enrolled the best students from different high school of the country. The objective of the Department was to find students’ gaps in their knowledge of science subjects and upgrade them to university standards. It was pleasure to work in an exotic country on such challenging issues and for a such noble goal.

Once, when I passed by a classroom where mathematics was being taught by a colleague, I heard the voice of the students counting: 4 597, 4 598, 4 599…At that time, I did not pay much attention to it. But after three days, from behind the doors of the same classroom, I heard: 13 127, 13 128, 13 129…

“My friend”, I asked Mr. S. soon afterwards on the corridor, “what is happening in the classroom during your math lessons?”

“Well, my students are counting up to a million, he answered.”

“Hmm,” I muttered and went away.

Then, at the staircase, I realized the meaning of his words. I went to my office. Looking at my wristwatch, I counted up to one hundred. I picked up a calculator. I computed that in 50 minutes, they would count up to 5 000, in a week (5 lessons) to 25 000 and at the end of the school year, they would not even reach 800 000 because of holidays and the fact that numbers were getting longer!

I summoned Mr. S. “Do you realize what you are doing with your counting?”

“This is a modern way of introducing a certain concept. First of all, I make my pupils aware of how huge the number million is. Then, secondly, we have great satisfaction in being the first. I believe, so far, nobody has counted up to a million! Today’s world rewards those who are first in anything!
I expect the class to be in the “Guinness Book of Records” and thirdly, I am testing whether pupils can count up to a million! The statement: “I can count up to a million” is worthless until it is proven experimentally, i.e. by the process of actually counting”.

I got upset. “Enough is enough!” I shouted. “I order you to teach according to the syllabus!”

Next day, stealthily, I approached his classroom. The pupils were reciting: 17 999, 18 000, 18 001… I decided to fire Mr. S. Discreetly, I let my superiors know that Mr. S. was probably lunatic. The message was spread. The university community decided that I was against the introduction of modern teaching methods, that I do not understand the outcome based education and that I felt personal animosity towards our colleague. My two-year contract expired and was not renewed… I left the university.

After a month’s time, I came back to the Department to visit my friend, the English tutor.
From all the classrooms where mathematics lessons were conducted (not only from
the classroom of Mr. S.), I heard the voices of the students counting:

277 238, 277 239, 277 240…

How To Profit From Membership Sites

The profit or revenue from membership sites is the result of using resources referred to as Intangible Assets. An emerging economic trend for business ownership shows that owning a tangible asset is less likely to provide as large a financial return as owning intangible assets.

The basis of the study provides a clear insight into the underlying reason that Google as an Intangible based company has outpaced Microsoft in not only profits but also web users. Marissa Mayer, Google’s director of consumer Web products, said “Google’s goal is to organize information and make it universally accessible, and that goes far beyond search engines”.

Google has far surpassed its stated mission and as a result has eclipsed the efforts of Microsoft in its ability to profit from the new economic model. Even though Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar behemoth with its software products, licensing and other tangible computer based business ventures, the hands down leader in the competition to derive income from intangible assets is Google.

Microsoft derived its fortune from creating the infrastructure for the dissemination of information. But Google eclipsed Microsoft’s success by focusing on an intangible asset, which is the web content arena. The ability of Google to provide access to voluminous amounts of information to the consumer quickly and efficiently provided a distinct competitive advantage over Microsoft.

The proof of success is always seen in the balance sheets of the corporations. Taking into account that Google was incorporated as Google Inc. in 1998 in Menlo Park, California and Microsoft was incorporated in June of 1991 in Bellevue, Washington, the competitive position of each corporation can be shown in their earnings reports.

In the first the first quarter of fiscal year 2007, which ended September 30. Microsoft, the software giant brought in $10.81 billion in total revenue, and enjoyed a net income of $3.48 billion while the
Worldwide gross revenue from Google will total $11.8 billion in 2007 according to a new report from Internet research firm, eMarketer.

While both earnings reports are impressive, it is interesting and important to know that Google is responsible for the profiting from the new information age by capitalizing on this knowledge based Economy that drives the Internet.

Many marketing analyst view the Internet as a global market place filled with huge shopping malls. These global shopping malls do provide a cornucopia of products and represent a stable source of income for several small as well as huge retail conglomerates.

But it is the access to information that provides the highest and most stable revenues from the Internet. Providing content is the most stable as well as the prolific revenue generator on the Internet. The Information age began in earnest in 1992 when the computer became the more accessible to the general public.

Membership sites seek their income from providing access to specific niche based information. The benefit of a membership site is convenience and accessibility. In some corporate environments, it is information that contributes the bottom line.

Because membership sites are so specific in their acquisition and dissemination of data, they can become a resource of incredible value to their membership. The kinds of membership sites that are being developed online run the gamut from dog owner membership to sites for individuals who consider themselves chocolate addicts.

Owners of Membership sites will provide content as well as a sense of camaraderie to its members. Online consumers as well as offline individuals have an innate need to belong. Membership sites offer not only information but also familiarization to its members. Members are demographically as well as socially linked in their desire for a specific type of information.

Some individuals have a ravenous appetite for information and join several diverse categories of sites to stay abreast of information on several topics. The Internet is full of info-holics who have a ravenous “need to know”. Membership sites offer these individuals access to a voluminous amount of valuable content for their own use.

Knowledge is power and is therefore a valuable commodity online as well as offline. Being “in the know” is a highly prized attribute among certain segments of the population. This craving for knowledge from these consumers will form the foundation of the revenue generated from businesses that can provide relevant content to the information starved Internet consumers.

This “need to know” of consumers drives the fortunes and the profits of huge corporations as well single individuals who choose to capitalize on these intangible assets. Content is the primary asset that many Internet entrepreneurs use to fuel their Adsense income, ezine and article marketing campaign.
Content is king of the Internet and will continue its reign from now until perpetuity (whenever that is).

Learn Option Trading

Options are commonly known as “derivatives” because the Options market is a market which is “derived” from another market. The most commonly known options are derivatives of the share market, but you can also have options on commodity futures such as gold, silver, sugar, wheat or pork bellies, or on other financial instruments such as currencies. The market is based purely on supply and demand, which means the prices rise and fall according to market sentiment. Whether we are talking about shares, commodities or currencies, these upward or downward trends can be tracked on charts. It is a true saying that “a picture paints a thousand words” and in the same way, charts can give us a visual representation of the movements in price, in a way that no amount of tabulated data can. Charts are our best friend if we want to learn option trading because they help us to decide when to buy or sell, or what strategy to employ.

What is an Option?

Before we can learn option trading, we first need to understand what an Option is. An option is a contract between two parties to exchange an asset for an agreed price, by an agreed time. If you buy an option, you are outlaying a much smaller sum than you would for the full purchase price of the asset the option covers. You may have heard of someone having an option to buy land. In this case, you would pay a few thousand dollars to give you the right to purchase something worth many thousands of dollars for an agreed amount, within a given time frame. So you have paid for a right, but not an obligation. You can exercise that right if you wish, or you can let it lapse, or expire. The same principle applies to options on shares. When you buy a CALL option, it gives you the right to “call” on the owner of the shares, to sell them to you at the agreed “strike price” by an agreed date.

Let’s look at an example. If you purchased a $30 October ABC Bank (ficticious name) call option, you now have the right (but not the obligation) to purchase ABC Bank shares for $30 up until the contract expiry date in October. Now, imagine that before the option expiry date, the daily market value of ABC Bank shares rose to $32. This would effectively mean that you now have the right to purchase something for $30 and then immediately turn around and sell it on the open market for $32. If you had purchased contracts for 1,000 shares, you have an immediate profit of $2,000 at the time the option expires. It shouldn’t be difficult to see then, that the higher the share’s market value goes before the expiry date, the more valuable your call option will become. As long as the market price is above the option strike price, the call option contract is said to be “in the money”. To learn option trading, it is critical you understand this simple concept.

On the other hand, you might think the price of a share is going to fall. You may want to ensure that you can still sell your shares for at least what you paid for them, or slightly below. So you take out a form of insurance called a “put” option. A put option gives you the right, but not the obligation, to sell (or put) your shares to someone else, for an agreed amount, by a given date. Let’s take our ABC Bank example above and imagine that you owned 1,000 shares that you purchased for $30 but before our October expiry date, the share price plummeted to only $26. Normally, you would have lost a cool $4,000 (1,000 shares x $4 loss in share value), but if you had also purchased $30 October put options, you have the right to sell (put) the shares for $30 to the market. For a small cost, you have avoided a $4,000 capital loss - so you would feel like you’ve taken out “share insurance” which is what a put option really is. So again, it becomes evident that as the price of a share drops, so a put option becomes more valuable. As long as the market price is below the option strike price, the put option contract is said to be “in the money”.

Why Options?

Options have often been perceived as high risk and indeed, can be so, because their price can rise or fall rapidly as the “underlying” share price moves. If we want to learn option trading it is imperative we avoid the traps. If we understand how we can harness and tame this power, our perception of options as a trading vehicle can change dramatically.

Options, if used wisely, can actually be far less risky than simply trading shares alone. Why? Because options contain the elements of time (to expiry) and price (movements), as well as the ability to either buy them or create them out of nothing, to sell them. When these three elements are understood and effectively combined, they provide a wonderful flexibility that allows us to protect our trading positions, while at the same time, providing opportunity for the same profit that would ordinarily have come from ten times the investment capital needed to produce a return from investing in the underlying shares. This is called “leverage” - less dollars to produce the same profit. If you can invest a much smaller amount to produce a better profit, this leaves your other capital free for other option investments, bringing even more profit.

You can implement some great option trading strategies with surprisingly little capital and excellent returns. Learn option trading the safe way! It’s not rocket science. Just buying a simple call or put option with the hope of selling it for a profit can be your express route to financial ruin. With a little more education, you would be surprised how much better you can do, with much less stress and with the same trading capital.

One of the safest ways to learn option trading, is by grasping the concept of Credit Spreads. They are a beautiful, low risk, low maintenance, strategy. Educate yourself by visiting Learn Option Trading.

Three Tiers of Love - How to Create a Natural Love Filled Relationship

The Three Tiers of Relationships

1/ Friendship

2/ Love

3/ Relationship

Whether you are single and looking for love, or double and going through challenges in love, there is can be great advantage in understanding how relationships work, and a foolproof way of dealing with challenges in them.

Going through relationship challenges, the key is not to react. Learn to let go.
Love really is a non attachment. To love someone or something is to release it. Let them be themselves. To love a child is to release your expectations of them. To love your partner means unconditional. No matter where they are, no matter what they do, no matter what they did or didn’t do. You love them. This is the truth

In times of challenge, go to the bleachers. Go sit in peace, if you release the bird, and it doesn’t return, it wasn’t yours. Let Karma play its hand.

Don’t push and shove - learn to love.

You can gain allot of confidence in karma if you know you have done your best. By following the guidance of Sacred Love book, you know you are not the “cause” and therefore, you can trust Karma. Let the universe do what it must. Lay down your weapons. Trust Karma

If you grab you are interfering. If you reject you are interfering. Hold your space and deal with the emotions as they come up, without reaction or action. Hold the space of love, trust, that if you stay in this space, then Karma will play its hand.

All relationships must be founded on three things.

The ground must be solid and built on friendship. If there is friendship, then, the worst outcome of a fall from love is a beautiful place with a person we want to care for and love. So if there is drama, hold your lover as a friend. Offer friendship as an alternative to relationship. If you can’t be friends with someone you want to be in a relationship with, then you have been revealed as a phoney. Friendship means to wish for someone’s happiness and to do what you can to help them. If you can’t be a friend to someone, how can you have a relationship with them? This is the base layer that needs to be real genuine and solid. In other words if you wouldn’t be a friend of the person you are in a relationship with (if there was no relationship) then, really your relationship is killing you both.

The second tier, once friendship is established, is love. This sort of Love must be unconditional love. To love means to release and hold at the same time. Love is the willingness to let the bird fly and know if it is meant to be yours, it will return. This is the second tier. To know how to hold love for someone even if they don’t want relationship with you is the gift of Innerwealth. Love is not a condition that is placed on someone. Unconditional love, the foundation for REAL relationships has no IF. There is no IF. There is no condition for the love that underpins a relationship. Love is the foundation from which the emotional and physical and conditional experience of relationship can grow. If you or your partner cannot understand this concept of unconditional love, then all that is built in relationship is temporary. Love must, in its purest form, be unconditional

The third tier is the relationship. A relationship that is based on friendship, motivated by love, has no where bad to fall. The worst that can happen is that you might end up holding love for a person you like, but don’t have control over them. Relationship is the cream on the cake, the self satisfaction of a dynamic between two humans. Emotional. material, experiential and personal - a wonderful expression of all that underpins it. A relationship with someone is the crown, but it cannot be allowed to exist in the absence of a willingness to be a friend, and to love (therefore release) unconditionally. Relationship can come and go, but the willingness for friendship and love, are the truth that lives beneath it. Always know that the worst that can come, if relationship is lost, is that you get to love someone you like, but now, just can’t control.

To be a good friend, you’ll need to have a sense that your dreams, hopes and ambitions are your own. They are portable, adaptable and transferable. If they don’t manifest in the company of one person, they will manifest in the company of others. Relationships are not there to cause your dreams to manifest. Relationships are a part of the process. Trust nature in this. Let her guide you, learn to adapt to the changing tides of life. Hold your dreams and purpose sacred, allow nature some hand in the dynamics through which they manifest.

To know love, unconditional love, is to understand the difference between your expectations and your love. People can reject your expectations they cannot reject your love. Hold your love cantered in your heart. Know that you can never stop loving someone you can only put your mind in the way. Practice this as instructed in Innerwealth - The book of love.

Relationship must be seen as the bubbles in the Champaign, the icing on the cake, the cream. The crown. Relationships built on friendship and love, are places of celebration. There is a health independence as only friends know. There is a healthy perspective, as only unconditional love can produce. There is a willingness to dance and struggle as only the provocation and intimacy of a relationship can create. This is relationship built on friendship, sustained by innerwealth, celebrated in intimacy.

Success Secrets - Keys To Help You Succeed At Anything You Do

Keys To Success

Your success depends on your mental attitude and on actually taking action rather than just thinking about doing things. If you follow these success principles you will succeed.

First, you need to take control of your thoughts

What do you think about? You tend to get what you think about, so be careful to think about what you do want rather than what you don’t want.

This is crucial to your success. Think about what you do want to happen and don’t sabotage your efforts with negative thinking.

Your focus is the key

What you focus your thinking on determines your future and your level of success.

If you have something you want to achieve you need to focus on it. You will find it much easier to focus if you

  • reduce clutter
  • narrow your options
  • minimise distractions
  • eliminate excuses

These all create barriers to your success. If you want to succeed you need to remove the obstacles and commit to what’s important to you.

To ensure success

It helps if you

  • Are committed to what you’re doing
  • Develop your skills
  • Observe the success of other people
  • Model their success

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel every time you do something

  • Learn from people who have gone before you
  • Learn from their success and learn from their failures too
  • Don’t be afraid to experiment
  • Test to find out what works for you and make adjustments

Conquer the fear of failure

Let go of the need to do things perfectly. Give yourself permission to try things out. Discover ways not to do things. If something doesn’t work, find another way to do it. You only fail when you give up.

Develop an optimistic outlook. Focus on opportunities. Take action and refuse to get caught up in negative thinking.

You will find that you can generally do what you set your mind to do. That’s why focus and minimising distractions is so important.

Take action

The biggest mistake people make is putting things off and not taking action. When things present themselves to you, decide that you will either ‘do it now’ or schedule when you will do it.

One last tip

Set yourself shorter deadlines. If you have a deadline you will work to meet it. If you allow yourself too much time, you will simply spend longer completing a project. You tend to get things done as a deadline approaches. Shorter deadlines will help you to focus and you will get things done sooner.

Bar Tables and Stools Add Versatility to Your Patio

If you’re looking for a hip and unique way to add some life to your boring patio, consider mixing things up with a few bar table and stool sets. This is an excellent alternative to cookie cutter patio sets and will give you more options when entertaining family and friends.

Whether your patio is small or large, balancing table space with standing or walking space can be a challenge. The goal should be to achieve a flow which allows for easy movement throughout the patio while still having the ability to seat a decent number of people. Bar sets give you this balance because of their tall, narrow design. Instead of plopping a large four or six seat patio table and chairs set in the middle of your patio, you can strategically place three or four small bar sets to achieve the same or greater number of seating while adding invaluable walking lanes to your outdoor space.

Outdoor gatherings usually lend themselves to having a number of guests seated while a number of people prefer to walk and mingle. Bar sets allow for this dichotomy more naturally by allowing for greater walking space and also by seating people higher than standard patio sets. The raised seat and table puts seated guests and those standing closer to eye level, so conversations and so forth can occur naturally between those who prefer to sit and those who would rather stand.

The flexibility of owning multiple bar sets as opposed to one large patio set is also an advantage. Being able to easily move and rearrange seating areas allows you to easily react to your guests tendencies and make the most of your allotted space. The smaller size also means bar sets can be stored more easily. Keeping them out of the rain and snow will add years to their life and allow them to retain their finish whether they’re made of wood or synthetic materials.
