How To Get Lower Credit Card Interest

If you feel that your interest rates are too high, it may be possible for you to get lower credit card interest rates. Many people simply accept and live with high interest rates as a fact of life and do not realize that they may be able to obtain better rates.

The first possible way to get lower card interest is to simply call your credit card company and request it. Obviously, this approach will not work for everyone. For this to work for you, your account must be in good standing and have a solid payment history. You will also have to have an adequate credit rating. If this is the case, then you may be eligible for a lower rate. Your credit card company will review your credit and give you the lower rate if you qualify.

Another option for getting lower interest is to transfer your balances to a lower interest card. If you have good credit, you likely receive numerous offers from credit card companies offering lower interest cards. However, this option is also limited to those with good credit. Plus, opening too many new credit card accounts can have a negative impact on your credit.

If you are or have been delinquent on your account, or you have other blemishes on your credit profile, then you will need a different method for getting lower interest. One possible solution could be a debt management plan. With a debt management plan, all of your credit card payments can be consolidated into one low monthly payment, and you may also benefit from lower interest and waived fees. This may be your best option if you are behind or having trouble making your payments. To see if you could benefit from a debt management plan, speak to an accredited credit counselor.

Lower interest on your credit cards can have a huge impact on your budget. Higher interest means higher monthly payments, leaving you with less money in your pocket. Lower interest means that more of your money is going towards principal, rather than interest, every month. This means that you can potentially pay your debt off much faster.

It is well worth it to make every attempt to lower your interest rates. Decide which option is best for you, and save money by getting a lower credit card interest rate.

Traffic Quality - Sending Quality Traffic to Your Web Site

While designing your own web site is the first crucial step you take in online marketing, it is important to ensure that its success is also a very important which is a difficult task that must be carried out with a lot of responsibility. To do this you must determine the best way to direct traffic to your web site. It will be better that you ensure the quality of the online traffic which is directed towards your site.

Here are the three steps to help you ensure that:

•You must first determine what kind of audience your website appeals to. This will obviously depend on the kind of product you want to sell. A very old person, for instance, will probably not be interested in buying a brand new state-of-the-art chopper.

•You should advertise in those places where you know a large number of your target audience is bound to visit. Continuing with the earlier example, you are probably likely to get more responses if you advertise your product in a forum that attracts younger people. Or you may first start advertising in the chopper enthusiasts’ sites on the internet.

•You must make your own list and make it very carefully too. However, it is very important to constantly reassess, refine and re-evaluate your list so that it continues to get better with time instead of becoming outdated. Along with this, social networking must also be exploited to serve your end.

Acupuncture Is All About Points

In Chinese medicine, the body is viewed very much so from an energy perspective. Acupuncture, in fact, focuses on the idea of energy movement at points of the anatomy.

The theory behind acupuncture has to do with the movement of a poorly defined force called qi that moves through the body on a series of pathways known as Meridian Channels. Along certain of these channels there are very shallow points known as acupuncture points. Stimulation of these points by the use of small gauge needles, pressure, or heat can redirect or increase the flow of qi. Qi is also known as vital energy. When the flow of qi is as it should be, the body is healthy. When the flow is disrupted or blocked, a person becomes ill. Pain is thought to be caused by blockage of the normal flow of qi.

It is because these acupuncture body points do not correspond to any observable anatomical features that acupuncture is sometimes thought to be, at the very best, a placebo type of treatment. In other words, people feel better because they think they are better. There is a description of a sensation when body points are needled and the qi flow is enhanced.

There are 12 main Meridian channels and 8 extra ones. Only two of the extra channels have their own acupuncture points. The others are stimulated by the use of points located on two or more of the main channels. The 12 main channels run vertically, symmetrically, and bilaterally through the body. Each corresponds to one of twelve organs known as the Zung Fu organs. There are 3 yin channels and 3 yang channels that originate in each arm and 3 yin channels and 3 yang channels that originate in each leg.

There are five points along the channels that use an analogy of a river. These are the Five Transporting Points. The Jing-well point is where the qi bubbles up as if from a spring. The Ying-Spring point is where the qi first begins to glide down the channel. At the Shu-Stream point the qi is beginning to pour down the channel. The Jing-River point is where the flow is deep and full. Finally, the He-Sea point is where the qi collects and heads deep into the body.

Each of these points also relates to an element. Jing-Well is wood; Ying-Spring is fire; Shu-Stream is earth; Jing-River is metal; He-Sea is earth. There is another set of points that are important in the acupuncture body map. The Xi-Cleft is the point where blood and qi gather. The Yuan-Source point is where yuan qi is accessed. The Luo-Connecting point is where Meridians known as luo Meridians diverge from main Meridians. The Back-Shu points are along each side of the spine. The Front-Mu points are very close to their respective organ. Lastly, there are a group of 8 Hui-Meeting points that have a special effect on tissues and organs. The art of treatment via acupuncture involves the use of the appropriate body points in combinations that are arrived at by a diagnoses process known as the Four Examinations.

Family Friendly Ways of Getting Rid of Fleas Without Chemicals

Our whole world is so full of pesticides and toxins that we seem to be bathing in them and when it comes to our pets, they often literally are. We’re a society of quick fixes and we want quick and permanent relief from pests that annoy and irritate us. It’s only natural that when our pet brings home an infestation of fleas, we want to turn to chemical insecticides to rid the house of the pets quickly and thoroughly.

However, it isn’t necessary to soak your household with chemicals and toxic products to get rid of fleas. Chemical products are marketed by advertisers who want you to believe you must use their product to be flea-free. They are not going to tell you that there are safer, family-friendly ways to remove fleas from your pet and home that don’t place your family’s health at risk. It’s up to us to become a bit wiser and to realize that the way we think about these things is largely the result of clever marketing over time.

You can avoid insecticidal or chemical treatment soaps and sprays and still rid your pet and home of fleas. They aren’t necessary for flea removal. After all, what did people do before this chemical age? Regular soap is perfect for killing fleas, so you can wash your pet once or twice with pet shampoo to rid it of the pests. The soap suds act with the water to drown the fleas, others will be washed off by the flow of the water and if outside will often drown in the puddles created. When your pet is dry, comb it well with a flea comb to remove eggs.

To prevent re-infestation, you will need to get them out of your home before your pet comes back in. If your throw rugs and blankets are small enough, toss them in the washing machine and wash with laundry detergent in hot water. If your washing machine is too small, most bath tubs will be large enough to completely cover them with soapy water and drown the fleas. Any fabric item that your pet likes to rest on also needs to be washed thoroughly. If your pet enjoys sleeping on a pile of your clothing (cat owners will understand this), those shirts and pants will need to be washed as well.

Carpets can crawl with fleas which love to hide in the tiny fibers. It is therefore essential to completely clean your carpet to remove all fleas. Vacuum first. Vacuuming can remove fifty percent of the fleas on a single pass. After you vacuum, your carpeting can be washed with soapy water, but soak it well. A token scrub with a soapy rag isn’t going to be enough to kill fleas or eggs. A steam-cleaning job by a professional is probably the best way to go to clean carpets and rid them of fleas.

Once you have thoroughly cleaned your carpets and rid your home of fleas, it is necessary to vacuum often and wash your pet regularly in soapy water using a flea comb afterwards, in order to prevent re-infestation. This care, however, will be worth it to you in time and trouble and of course, family and pet health.

Light is Your Crayon - And There’s Always Another Color in the Box

In 30 years of photographic experience, I’ve made several great friends who
work in Photo Labs. When asked about what they think is the biggest mistake
that they see every day; the response is always the same. They will often
answer me after a long sigh. “These people just don’t understand light,”
they say to me.

Remember: all cameras average the existing light. What that means is, just because
you can see it . . . doesn’t mean the camera can. The human eye is far more
sophisticated than the most expensive camera money can buy. If . . . for example,
you stand someone in front of a bright window, your eye can still tell who that person
is . . . but the camera can not, at least, not without help. Your eye will zoom into a
person’s face and ignore that bright light around them, but the camera will not.
The camera’s whole purpose in life is to make an image that is 18% gray. Long ago,
someone decided that 18% gray was as close to the human eye, as a camera can get.
But if for example, 80% of the picture frame is filled with light that is brighter than
18% gray, what does the camera do? It tries to average out the given light. It will
take your best friend and makes him or her, a silhouette. Don’t get mad at the
camera, it’s only doing what it’s been told to do.

Use a flash indoors 90% of the time. The only reason, I don’t say 100% is because
some events won’t allow a flash indoors. If that’s the case, get a higher speed film
(400 or 800 ISO) and use a tripod. If you can’t give a subject more light, give it light
for a longer period of time. If you use a flash the camera speed is usually about
1/125th of a sec. or faster. But if you’re not allowed to use a flash for example,
you may shoot available light at 1/30th of a sec. or slower. (That’s why I suggest
the tripod.)

Personally, I like using a flash. I probably use a flash, even outdoors, about 80%
of the time (when I happen to be shooting people, that is). Why? Just because there’s
plenty of light, doesn’t mean that it’s the right kind of light. Bright light (like at high
noon) causes harsh shadows. I can give a short burst of flash (commonly called:
“Fill Flash”), and suddenly my colors are more vibrant and the shadows are less harsh.

Remember, if you want a subject to actually be white (a wedding dress for example)
you will have to give the shot more light than the camera suggest. If you want it to
actually be black, (a black horse for example) you will have to give the shot less light
than what the camera is indicating. If you shoot indoors, use a flash when you’re
allowed to do so. If you shoot outdoors, try using a flash, it might surprise you.

You have to make the decisions about how to expose your photos, not the camera.
The camera is only a guide, but it has no artistic taste. It will only do what it knows
how to do, which means it will give you an average exposure. If you want your shots
to look extraordinary, don’t rely on just an average reading. There are 26 letters in
the alphabet, but not every combination makes a great novel. What you do with those
26 letters determines if you are a great writer. What you do with the information your
camera gives you, determines whether or not you are a great photographer.

The Roots of Acupuncture

Acupuncture has come a long way in regards to being recognized as an acceptable treatment methodology in the west. Ah, but where did it first find its roots in health care?

The origin of acupuncture is shrouded in the mists of the past. There are some indications that a form of it may have been practiced in Central Europe six thousand years ago. Some very early archeological evidence shows that something that certainly resembled it was being practiced in China as early as the 1st millennium BC. The earliest medical text uncovered in China do not mention it, however, so the exact date that it was first practiced in its present form remain unknown.

The first mention of the practice in a written text was the “Classic of Internal Medicine” that was complied during the reign of the Yellow Emperor sometime between 305 and 204 B.C. The theory and philosophy behind acupuncture has changed little through the years, although in modern times the practice was briefly outlawed by the Communist Government of China. The Communists made fun of acupuncture at first. They called it a foolish and superstitious practice that had no place in a modern and scientific world.

This attempt to eliminate acupuncture did have the side effect of driving many devotees of the classical practice out of China. This spread acupuncture to parts of the world where it had previously been little known. It was not long before the Communist Government realized that despite their ridicule, the practice was never really abandoned by the people of China. They also began to see it as a useful alternative to Western style medical practice that was expensive and not so easy to make available to the masses in China.

Today, acupuncture is practiced again in a very slightly altered form that does not discuss the spiritual implications of the treatment as much as had been previously done. The more classical ancient form is found more in Chinese enclaves around the world than in China itself. In China, it is often combined with Western Medical treatments. Acupuncture was not unique to China. Forms of it were practiced in ancient Korea and Japan, and are still practiced there today.

The theory of acupuncture is based on the idea that the body consists of certain “systems of functions.” Some of these systems are associated with various body organs although not directly. Others are associated with various body functions. A substance called qi flows along twenty different Meridians or pathways connecting and influencing the systems of functions. Qi is rather hard to define, but is sometimes referred to as “vital energy.” Treatment consists of altering the activity of one or more of the systems of function at very small points located along the Meridians. The points are called acupuncture points and are stimulated by needles, pressure, or heat.

Cash-Out Refinancing Can Do The Trick

Cash out refinance home loans will not only provide you with cash for whatever purpose you can think of but they can also help you save thousands of dollars on interests if market conditions or your personal finances and credit have improved since you requested your original home mortgage loan.

Cash Out Refinance Home Loans Explained

Cash out refinance home loans are loans meant for repaying an outstanding mortgage loan. The idea, as with any other refinance loan is to use the money obtained from the new loan to cancel the previous loan. This means that the new loan has to have more advantageous loan terms than the previous loan. These advantages can consist on shorter repayment programs, lower monthly payments or lower interest rates.

But cash out refinance home loans differ from other refinance loans due to the fact that the loan comes with a higher loan amount than the current outstanding home mortgage loan. Thus, when repaying the current mortgage, a fair amount of money will remain unused and you will be able to use this extra cash at your discretion.

Saving Money On Interests

As with any other refinance home loan, by obtaining a lower interest loan you can save thousands of dollars over the whole life of the loan. A single point reduction may not seem that much but on a 25 years loan, it represents savings of $2,500 every $10,000 of loan principal. Imagine what such reduction can save you on higher amount loans.

Also, there is another way of getting savings by refinancing a home loan. If you have a 25 year loan and you decide to shorten the repayment program even if you have to pay higher loan installments each month, on the long run you’ll be saving thousands of dollars worth of interests because the interest rate is measured on an annual basis.

Additional Advantages You Can Obtain

Savings and extra cash is not the only thing you can obtain from a cash-out refinance home loan. As with any other refinance product you can change almost any loan terms to suit your needs. Thus, if you want to get lower monthly payments and the interest rate is already fixed, you can do so by extending the repayment program, the resulting loan installments will be thus significantly lower.

Also, a refinance loan product can be used to achieve debt freedom more rapidly. If you want to become debt free sooner, you can always request to shorten your repayment program. This will also increase the amount of your loan installments but your new home mortgage will be repaid in full sooner and you’ll obtain your debt freedom as soon as the last installment is fully paid off.

The Spindrift Frame - Book Review

The Spindrift Frame
by Jim Accardi

ISBN-10: 0595417833

Things aren’t always what they seem, and people aren’t always what we think they are. Sometimes it takes a painter’s eye to really see the truth; and sometimes, that truth is exactly as we pictured it to be. In Jim Accardi’s latest book, “The Spindrift Frame,” readers get the whole picture, one frame at a time, through Tam Malonee’s point of view and acrylic paintings.

Tam is a portrait artist through the desperation of need; he is however, quite talented. His gift comes in handy when he runs out of money and finds himself trading paintings for cash, a monster of a car, and his own sanity during the highest terror of hurricane Gregor as it comes storming at his door. Tam is running from the law and some trouble he created up north, and finds himself making promises to a waitress in Tennessee. She needs to go to Florida, and he’s on his way there, so she enlists him in a plan to rescue her daughter who lives down that way with her father. Madison Monroe seems like a desperate mother, wishing to help her daughter, but she is very moody and right away Tam thinks that he should rethink his promise to help. In the meantime there are numerous obstacles, a pauper funeral to attend, a family brawl to assist in, an escaped convict to outmaneuver, and an old man’s dying wish to fulfill. Facing a killer hurricane while planning to abduct a young girl from her grandparents’ home, painting up a storm to put gas in the car, leaves Tam in one huge predicament. Along the way, Madison lets him know that he is an alcoholic and that he needs to face it. She promises to give up chewing gum. It’s a win-win situation, if you look at it in a certain light. Deep revelations are discovered and it seems that Tam is finding out who he really is, all the while, finding out that others in his life really weren’t the way he thought they were.

Jim Accardi has a gift for characterization. You wouldn’t think characters in a book could have such deep and profound souls, but Tam and Madison do. Even minor roles are portrayed with such human qualities that readers will swear that they’ve known someone just like that. The story is a twisted little tale of adventure and risk. A little slow to start, it is worth trying to understand what is going on. The picture will become clear as Tam paints it for all to see. Are things what we make of them or is destiny at hand? Do we see what is really going on or only what we wish to believe? “The Spindrift Frame” is a great read that leaves you with something to think about. Well done!

Business Coaches Make More Money Optimizing Their Relationships

To succeed, financially, as a business coach you really must optimize every relationship you have with your prospects and your clients.

I have worked with business owners for over three decades. To this day over 60% of my clients come from one of three industries. And each client ends up taking advantage of the widest possible range of services - because I have developed a process that keeps me in front of them long enough for them to do so.

What can you do to more effectively to invest your time and energy with each high probability prospect long enough for them to buy everything you have on offer?

It seems that most of the time we only have a few seconds to make a first impression or a few minutes to pitch our services.

What most of us do, out of necessity, is blast away about the features and benefits of our services - hoping we catch their attention with one of them. While we a barking out everything we can in the time allowed we try to focus on their body language for clues regarding the one thing that seems to interest them.

If our elevator speech and our sales presentation are well conceived and well delivered our prospect may show a sign of interest - which we will immediately jump on and ride for all it’s worth.

So we all spend time developing our USP so that it can be powerfully presented in forty-five seconds, five minutes, and fifteen minute versions.

I absolutely recommend that you spend whatever time necessary to create that USP. It is vitally important that you know precisely what you do more uniquely and better than anyone else.

Getting clear about the benefits you provide is critical - but perhaps not for the reasons you think.

For example I use my elevator speech, in all its variations, as my number one method of disqualifying people I am not ideally suited to serve. In 45 seconds eighty percent of them know I am not the right person for them. By the end of five minutes I have eliminated everyone that is not an ideal candidate for my services.

This may be the opposite of what you were taught - that everyone is a prospect for something. Read on. My career has been created using this approach.

Once I have eliminated everyone else I can focus all my effort on the people who want what I’m selling, have the money to buy it, and will buy it from me once they know more about me.

Instinctively good prospects want proof, before they spend their time or money. They want to see us in action before making a decision. In other words that want to see if we walk our talk.

But how is this possible? How can they get to know us better in a way that builds our credibility?

How about offering a free coaching session or a no-obligation interview? Maybe we can interest them in a trial program that is deeply discounted? Or maybe we can offer some sort of guarantee?

Give me a break! Anyone who’d fall for these obvious ploys is not the sort of person I want as a client and hope you feel the same.

Successful business owners aren’t stupid! They know (whether it is true in your specific case or not) that any of these deals are really a come-on to get your foot in the door. And every effort will be made during the free/discount sessions to sell them the services they were unwilling to buy in the first place.

Let me propose an alternative, a simple process that has been working for me for over a decade. It gives prospects plenty of time to see me in action and come to know what kind of a person I am.

When I meet a new high probability prospect - someone I want to know more about and who seems to want to get to know me and my services better - I make them a proposition they rarely refuse.

I describe the power of group dynamics and its impact on decision making that are present when a small group of people (like them) meet regularly with a persistent focus on the issues and challenges shared by them all.

Invariably they have been part of such a group, formally or informally, in the past. And in my experience they found it beneficial and were sorry when it ended. Often their association has sponsored peer groups among its membership. In many cases they have been part of a dealer peer group created by the company that manufactures the products they sell or distribute.

So when I offer to help organize a peer group for them and their peers - as a volunteer, they jump on it. We make a bargain. They put together the names of people they know and trust in their industry and I agree to take care of all the details.

These are smart people, so they know that my goal is to demonstrate my value to them and the other members of their group. No sales pitch - this is real.

They also know that I actually have to demonstrate that value over a period of time in front of a half-dozen business owners like them. This is trial by fire.

And I know that if I chose the first person well and by extension helped sort out the rest of the members based on that same criteria - that I could not spend my time more productively.

Just think, an hour or so twice a month modeling your best abilities in the presence of six successful business owners. Imagine the possibilities.

What you will have done is create a situation that is guaranteed to deliver results, if you deliver the goods.

Every time I organize a peer group like this I end up with a key account or two from the group.

And more often than not, one of the people in the group I never get as a client ends up referring me to one or more of their colleagues who become key accounts.

If you are serious about spending your time effectively, in front of groups of your ideal client types with money to spend on your services I suggest you visit http://www.iBizResources.com and click on the link to my new report http://www.21stCenturyPeerGroups.com a complete guide to creating, organizing, and manageing virtual peer groups profitably.
