How to Choose a Hairstyle When You have Dull and Damaged Hair

If you have dull and damaged hair, choosing a new hairstyle for an image makeover is quite challenging. This is for reason that you hair many not come out looking beautiful and not what you have intended and desired it to be. Nevertheless, some know how can help you achieve a better and more appropriate hairstyle for you. Here is how:

Choose a hairstyle that flaunts your hair’s natural form and texture. If you have a curly hair, scrap the idea of going through hair treatments like hair rebonding and hair straightening to make your hair straight. The advent of many hairstyling processes has led to a trend in altering the hair’s natural form and texture but these also result in undesirable dulling of hair, split ends and hair damage. If you are thinking about changing your hairstyle, go for a style that is most compatible with the form and texture of your hair. It does not only bring out your hair’s natural beauty but also prevents further damage that can be caused by the heat and chemicals that are applied during hair altering processes.

Cut your hair short when it is necessary. Many women aspire to have long hair but when you have been telling yourself about how bad your hair looks like when you are in front of the mirror or when split ends become very noticeable, you might consider cutting your hair short. This will help in eliminating dull and damaged hair ends and also helps your hair revive its health and beauty.

Avoid hairstyles that can aggravate your hair’s damaged condition. When choosing a hairstyle, be very sensitive to your hair’s needs. This means that when your hair has become unmanageable and damaged from hair coloring, choose a hairstyle that does not necessitate applying dyes and chemicals to your hair. Similarly, avoid altering your hair’s natural form when it entails chemical and heat processes that will bring more damage to your hair. You might also consider choosing a hairstyle that you can wear as is when you go to work or to a party because this will help in eliminating the use of chemicals like hairsprays that can be detrimental to the health of your hair.

Choosing a new hairstyle for an image makeover will not be as challenging when you have some know how in choosing a hairstyle regardless if you have dull and damaged hair. Remember to choose a hairstyle that flaunts your hair’s natural form and texture; to cut your hair short when it is necessary; and to avoid hairstyles that can aggravate your hair’s damaged condition

Jeep - The Old Is New Once Again

The Chrysler Group’s Jeep brand will prove enthusiasts that the old charm could be rekindled to make it new once again. Jeep’s pool of engineers has redesigned the new Liberty with strong ties to the traditional model.

To some brands, the classic versions of their product lines are better. This is true even with Jeep. This is why the automaker, the American division of DaimlerChrysler AG, has redrawn the 2008 Jeep Liberty to radiate a more classic Jeep aura and form.

The vehicle, which epitomizes the characteristics of a lean and mean machine of more traditional Jeeps, has debuted at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). Behind the innovative features of the new Liberty is the distinctly classic look and feel. And Jeep purists are glad to hear the news. As a fact, even those who are not Jeep enthusiasts are pleased with the changes. “Our objective was to refine the design and stay true to the core of the brand,” said John Sgalia, the director of Jeep Design.

The redesigned Liberty, scheduled to hit dealerships this fall, entertained several elements that vaulted the auto into a top seller small SUV. Jeep’s designers straightened out some of the vehicle’s curves but retained its quirks.

“There are two types of Jeeps, modern and classic,” explained Ralph Gilles, Jeep’s top designer. “We wanted the Liberty to mature but still remain playful,” said Gilles, who designed the interior for the original Liberty that debuted in 2002. “The open top was really an engineering tour de force.”

The Sky Slide, an industry exclusive, works like a giant sunroof creating an open space 33-inches by 41-inches, Liberty engineers said. “It’s four times the size of a standard sunroof,” said Rick Reuter, the chief engineer who worked on the Jeep Liberty. “But it still operates the same way for a driver.”

The roof opens electronically, gathering the canvas at either end. When the roof is completely open, passengers in the second row will be able to enjoy open sky ride. The automaker spent several months testing the roof to ensure that it would not leak and would seal tightly when closed. “Jeep has always been about being in the open air, and this roof is one way to give our customers that,” said John Plecha, Jeep’s marketing director.

The new Liberty looks substantially bigger than its ancestors. The automaker has increased its overall length by two inches, expanded the cargo space by three inches, and extended the wheelbase by two inches. The spare tire, once on the rear hatch, was transferred behind the rear axle.

Other features of the redesigned Liberty include the powerful 3.7-liter V-6, new front and rear suspension mated to EBC rotors and other refinements to provide comfy and reliable ride. The new Liberty finishes Jeep’s lineup, Plecha noted.

Foundations For Affiliate Marketing Online Success

Setting the foundation for affiliate marketing is relatively ‘easy’ to do, it simply requires that you learn, understand and employ certain fundamental marketing and business skills. Once you have mastered these skills, you then can plug them into other business models.

I am not going to attempt to list all the possible things you should do but instead just highlight some of the concepts you will master as an affiliate.

-How to properly conduct market research before going into business

First and foremost you need to know how to do market research before going into business. This is very important. If you go into the wrong market that is very saturated (a lot of competitors). In a saturated market there is not enough traffic to go around because there are too many people competing for the same audience.

-How to choose products correctly aligned to your chosen market

Be aware of what is new, successful and what people in that market are interested in.

-How to drive targeted traffic to your website

This is main building block to successful affiliate marketing. This is the key to pre-selling and conversions. You can send tons of people to your website but if they are not interested in what is on that website your not going to make any money.

-How to advertise your business or product

Certain products work well with articles while others don’t. Stay aware of business models that work in your market and always maximize your advertising efforts.

-How to build a database of leads (potential customers)

You need to build a database of leads. Start collecting email addresses and collecting leads that are interested in the product. Gain trust by becoming an expert to these people in whatever field you are in and stay in touch with them.

-How to follow up with your leads and convert them to sales

Learn what your market wants. Let’s say you have a list of leads for people who are interested coral products. You need to send these people tips and guides on things like coral care or a coral watch list. Obviously the people on you list are interested in coral so by staying in touch with them and showing that you are not trying to sell them anything but just help them out your odds of someone purchasing something from you when you do come around to the time when you are selling them greatly increase.

-How to write effective pre-sell and sales copy

Although merchant’s usually have a sales page that they have written or paid for but one of the things you can do to improve your odds of getting a commission of a product is to pre-sell. This is normal done through emails, reports and articles.

-How to drum up more business via repeat customers

Repeat customers are your biggest money makers. Once someone has bought something from you really have gained there trust and the chances that they will buy from you in the future are good. Keeping in touch with your customer buy sending them information they will see value in and buy from you again.

-How to create additional income streams through back-end promotions

This is really just pairing packages together. Let’s say you are selling coral bookends, you could also have a backend product coral lamps or whatever.

As you can see, all of the above skills can apply to any business model - be it affiliate marketing, selling your own products online or even running an offline business.

Laser Treatment for Acne Scar Removal

Acne scar laser treatment stands out among all acne treatments in effectiveness. Acne scarring comes under cosmetic disfigurements posing psychological problems to the patients. It is notable here that most of these can very well be corrected using laser as skin resurfacing modality.

Acne scar laser treatment involves using a light beam from a carbon dioxide laser. The latter vaporizes the upper layers of damaged skin at specific and controlled levels of penetration.

Development of selective photothermolysis

The development of selective photothermolysis has caused significant advances in the use of laser technology for skin resurfacing. The improved technology has helped reduce residual thermal damage. By using shorter pulse durations of laser light, the minimizing of thermal damage significantly reduced the risk for scarring on the skin.

The latest procedures involve an intense beam of light to destroy the skin tissue instantly. As of now, carbon dioxide and Er:YAG laser reportedly offer best acne treatments. They are able to perform highly specific vaporization of tissue using powerfully focused light to precisely remove the skin layers. Thus they vaporize the ridges of scars and wrinkles and smoothing out the surface of the skin.

Best lasers for acne scar removal

Er: YAG laser offers the best acne scar laser treatment. The benefit of Er:YAG laser for superficial to moderate acne scar removal stems from the fact that this laser produces less thermal damage compared to other types of laser.

The short pulsed Er:YAG laser has a water absorption coefficient 16 times greater than that of the carbon dioxide laser. The water in the tissue absorbs most of the energy of these lasers. That results in minimal optical penetration depth and thermal damage.
The more limited penetration of these lasers into the skin triggers a histo-pathological improvement less pronounced than that of carbon dioxide laser. However, Er:YAG laser shows potential as an acne scar removal treatment especially in the treatment of mild to moderate superficial rhytides and scars. In fact it is the best acne scar laser treatment for acne scars that are not very deep.

I Understand that the Internet Is Global, I Just Did Not Think that It Was Worldwide

I know the header to this article sounds stupid and confusing, but it certainly describes where I am at the moment.

Sometimes I think I understand a concept, recognize it and accept it as a fact. Then something happens and I realize I really did not understand it at all, and still do not.

Because I have been working at developing readership on my site, I have been able to lower my Alexa rating from a 3-month average of 4,313,696 the day I started my Blog to its current 3-month average of 118,981.

Alexa ranks all web sites around the world in order of their traffic rank, the lower the rank the greater the traffic to the site. Pundits tell me that if your traffic rank is lower than 100,000 it is a big deal.

The 3-month average always lags behind my 1-week average and my yesterday average.

Currently my 1-week average is 102, 276 and has been as low as 82,711. The yesterday average does not always show up in my Alexa ranking but it has been as low as 49,279.

I recently celebrated the 5-month anniversary of Ed Bagley’s Blog and feel pretty good about what I have been able to accomplish given my knowledge level and nontechnical nature. I am a writer and not a tech head.

Included in the Alexa report is also some mind-boggling statistics about the makeup of my Blog readership.

My Blog originates in Lacey, Washington in the United States of America. I would figure that the majority of my readership would be from the USA, and I would be dead wrong.

Would you believe that only 25% of my current readership is from my own country? This fact just blows me away. You could knock me over with a feather.

I find it incredible that 19% of my readership comes from China, 14% from Indonesia, 12% from the Palestinian Territory and 9% from Iran.

My Blog is in English and I have to believe that the 54% of readers in China, Indonesia, the Palestinian Territory and Iran-these four countries or territories alone-must have English as their second, third or even fourth language.

What is it about the writing of my Blog that attracts these readers from these far away places?

I have not a clue.

I surmise that these readers must be among the educated, literate and affluent in their culture.

Considering that best estimates put the current number of web sites worldwide at 700 million, one can only imagine how many people have email addresses and do not yet have a web site, but it has to be even a far greater number.

Truly the Internet is bringing everyone in the world closer. Readers in China may as well be in the rec room at my home; they certainly are tuned into what my mind is putting on the Internet.

I do not consider my writing to be controversial, at least not in the sense of hundreds of other bloggers on the Internet who spew out lighting rod material constantly.

I also find it incredible that I am currently the 5,509th most popular site in Indonesia, or the 64,201st most popular site in China, a nation of 1-billion-plus people.

How could I be the 9,823rd most popular site in Iran when I do not even write about Iran, or the Middle East? I do virtually no commentary on the Iraqi War, and talk very little about politics. Of the more than 214 articles I have written and published in 4 months, only 2 are about politics.

My current Alexa ranking in the United States is 39,953 but comes up as 118,981 because the latter is a worldwide ranking.

The world is truly getting smaller, and my mind is getting larger every day.

I do not have any adequate words to describe the impact of the Internet on my life. Perhaps a reader from halfway around the world will email me and tell me why they are faithfully reading my Blog. In that moment, both of our worlds will become closer.

Auto Experts - Beware of Flood-Damaged Autos

Looking for a new car involves considering different areas, factors, and features of an automobile. Safety, fuel efficiency, and performance are just some of the things car buyers need to consider to ensure that they will be driving a vehicle that suits them perfectly.

Auto experts though has reported that prospective car buyers should also check for water damage on the car they are planning to buy and they do mean flood water to be exact. After the damaging effects of Hurricane Katrina, car experts fear that the auto market in the United States is proliferated by flood-damaged vehicles. With regards to this, they warn car buyers to avoid buying a car which has suffered the wrath of Hurricane Katrina and other smaller floods across the country.

Bryan Gregory, the Director of Consumer Education for Advanced Auto Parts, has this to say about the influx of flood-damaged vehicles in the United States auto market: “Auto industry experts estimate that as many as 400,000 vehicles may have been damaged by Hurricane Katrina alone. Add to that total the number of vehicles caught in countless smaller floods that occur across the country each year and you have a significant flood-damaged vehicle population that consumers need to be on the lookout for.”

Staying way from flood-damaged vehicles needs a thorough inspection of the vehicle on the part of the buyer. Although the tell tale signs of flood damaged is relatively hard to spot, auto experts want to arm car buyers with the proper information to spot these damages. “Flood damage can be hard to spot, unless you know what you’re looking for. The time to spot a car that’s been in a flood is before you purchase it, because once it’s in your driveway and the flood-related mechanical problems start to show up, it’s too late for most consumers,” says Gregory.

These damages may not show themselves yet right after you buy a car but in the long run, these damages will play a major role in the shortening of a vehicle’s lifespan. Since all new vehicles released in the U.S. market are equipped with electronic components, these features should be checked properly before buying a car. The vehicle’s onboard computer can be permanently damaged by flood water as well as airbag sensors. That alone poses a very high potential risk to consumers.

If an airbag sensor is damaged, when needed, the airbag can no longer protect the occupants of a vehicle, endangering them of severe injuries or even death. Some other electrical components like Volvo window motors can also be damaged by flood water, but these damages can readily be checked unlike the status of an airbag sensor.

One of the most telling signs that a car is flood-damaged is molds in the vehicle or a musty smell. This, of course, is the effect of the prolonged exposure to dirty flood water. New upholstery and carpets can also mean that these are replaced due to the damage of flood water on the original upholstery or carpets. Rust on the interior of a vehicle is also a sign that the vehicle is flood-damaged.

Auto experts also advise car buyers to inspect the air box for mud or water residue. Consumers can do this by simply removing the air filter of a vehicle. Waterlines on the bulb or lenses of headlamps and taillights are also telltale sign that the car was submerged at one time or another under a flood.

Aside from keeping away from flood-damaged vehicles, Gregory also advises car owners to prevent their cars from being victims of a flood. According to Gregory, “In addition to knowing how to avoid buying a flood-damaged vehicle, drivers should also take steps to prevent their own vehicle from becoming a flood victim. The number one action drivers can take to avoid water damage to their vehicle, and possible personal injury or death, is to never, ever attempt to drive through water that is covering a road, no matter how shallow or slow-moving it appears. Also avoid parking in areas prone to flash flooding and close your vehicle’s windows when rain threatens.”

How to Make a Flavorful and Delightful Barbecue

If you are tired with the same barbecue recipe that you prepare for your family during picnics or family gatherings or your guests might now be turning their heads away from your barbecues during parties or socialization, you might be needing some barbecue recipe rescue. You can try new barbecue recipes but you can also dash up the taste of your good old barbecue by following these tips:

Add fruits and veggies to your barbecue. Why not try adding pineapple chunks and cucumber cuts to your barbecue? This will make your barbecues look delightful and more presentable when you serve them to your family or guests. Adding fruits or vegetables also adds vitamins that are good for the body. Pineapple chunks, for example are rich in Vitamin C. If you want your barbecue to look appealing even to health buffs, adding some vegetables and fruits is a good idea that you can try.

Make the meat tastier. Many people apply the barbecue sauces into the meat 20 minutes or an hour before grilling. The flavor, however, cannot seep into the meat. You can do something about this by soaking the meat into the marinade or barbecue sauce overnight or longer before grilling. If you are afraid that the meat can get spoiled, place the meat and the marinade in the refrigerator. You will notice that the meat is tastier when it is soaked longer in the marinade.

Serve more tender meats. Nobody wants to eat chewing gum like meat in barbecue so it would be a good idea to serve meats that can be easily chewed and eaten. You can do this by marinating the meat longer. Some people also add white wine in the marinade. Another good idea is to choose for younger and tender meats that you intend to use for the barbecue.

Add something to spice up the taste of your barbecue. If you are making your own barbecue marinade instead of buying ready to use barbecue sauces, you can make the marinade more flavorful by using lots of spices like garlic, onion and pepper. Alternatively, you can add pineapple juice to your marinade to give it a tangy taste and more vitamins C. Try this the next time you prepare a barbecue marinade and you can tell the tasty difference.

The next time you are preparing barbecue for your family or for your friends, make your barbecue more flavorful and more delightful by following these tips. The difference can truly make your barbecue everybody’s favorite.

Building A List Without Deadbeats

Out of all the possible approaches to online marketing, lead capture and list building represents the smartest and most effective option. With a responsive list, it’s like having an ATM right on your desk. Need some money? Just send a message to your list and the money will come.

Anytime you have a new product to offer, a new website to launch or a new affiliate program you want to promote, just send a message to your list and you’ll get nearly instant traffic, just like magic!

Many of the internet marketing gurus proclaim that they have 100,000 or more subscribers on their list, and many of them actually have multiple lists in different niches. Having a huge list sounds impressive, but in most cases, those big lists have a small comparative value. Why? Because those gigantic lists usually consist mostly of “Freebie Seekers”.

What exactly is a Freebie Seeker? It’s a person who will sign up for just about any mailing list, as long as he can get something without paying any money. The disadvantage of having a list of Freebie Seekers is that they’re not likely to ever spend money. They’re only interested in getting something for nothing. After all, that’s how they ended up on the list in the first place. Do you really want to waste your time with deadbeats like that?

In contrast, the absolute best results are obtained when you build a highly responsive list of people that are actually willing to spend money.

Building a responsive list is a task that many marketers have found to be most challenging.Sure, you can get subscribers thru bribery, by offering a free report, ebook or software, but then you have a list of deadbeats. Is that really what you want? Or would you rather have a list of subscribers that recognize good value when they see it and they’re willing to spend money?

How do you go about building such a responsive list? I mean a list of subscribers that will give you real money when you present them with your offers. Although it may seem like a nearly impossible task, it’s actually easy, once you know how. And once you get things setup, your list can grow automatically.

The secret to building a highly responsive list is that instead of just building a list comprised of any old subscribers, you want to build a list of customers - people that have already spent money with you. So you’ll end up with a “Customer List”, not just a plain old “Mailing List”. What’s the difference? The difference is that a customer list is built of people that have already spent money, and people that have purchased in the past are much more likely to make more purchases in the future. It’s no wonder that a customer list will out perform a list of Freebie Seekers every time!

However, many marketers have found the task of customer list building to be most difficult and time consuming. Their current list doesn’t respond well, so they don’t generate many customers. With few subscribers actually converting to customers, the building of a customer list is a slow, drawn out affair.

What if the process could be automated? Fortunately, at SevenDollarSolution.com, it’s fairly easy for you to build your own customer list at no cost and virtually no effort. By taking advantage of the growing flow of traffic to this huge, growing database of $7 products, you’ll be building your own highly responsive customer list in minimal time.

Content Type Driven Affiliate Marketing

Gone are the days of websites that could throw up any old content and start generating traffic. These days affiliate marketing is 99% content driven. Now when I say content, some of the types of content I am talking about and some of the things you want to think about creating are topical articles and emails for your product. Here are a few examples of how to produce content.

Writing Articles

Lets say your product is a Fiber Optic cleaver. You could put out articles about “How to maintain a glass shard free work zone” or “How to keep your cleaver in shape”. These would all be topics that would interest people who interested in fiber optic cleavers.

Email Promoting

When you are capturing leads you will want to send the people on your list courses and promotions. For instance, you could create a course on “Keep Your Cleaver Working”, would be something along those lines that would be very interesting to someone interested in fiber optics.

Creating special reports and promotions

An example of a special report would be something like “25 Ways To Better Burns”. This is much larger than a tip and should contain solid useful information.

Bonus products offered as incentives

Let’s say you have a package out there that you are trying to sell but maybe it’s not selling it self every time so you package it with bonus. The initial product is very valuable in high demand but you want to stand out from your competitors and push your customer over the edge into buying additional products or services.

Advertising Copy

This is PPC ads (pay per click), ads, blog content or anything that would be trying to drive traffic to the website thru a simple ad.

Unless you live under a rock you know that video is extremely big on the Internet. If you look at YouTube and look at how much Google paid for YouTube then you can see that video is not going anywhere. If you can produce something viral in nature and people tell their friends about it can be the most powerful content you will ever produce.

As you look back thru this article I bet your saying to yourself, well sounds wonderful but I am not a writer, I don’t’ shoot video and I don’t write ads. Well what’s so great about affiliate marketing is you can go out and have stuff done for you if things seem over whelming. There are several Freelance services and Outsourcing websites out there but your budget must be able to support the additional help.

A way to keep cost down is to test and track where your traffic comes from. This can be accomplished thru a number of different scripts, tools, web stats programs like Stat Counter and Google Analytics.

Using tracking can tell you where your traffic is coming from, whether it’s directly by email, article databases, ads being clicked on or from videos

Content is extremely important. Any one or more of the above can be your most effective methods. If you know and track these methods then you can determine whether you need to be spending your time writing articles (which you don’t want to do) or making videos.

Target your traffic and keep these things in your mind and focus in on what’s happening in your market and how you can add value to your product and get people interested in it.
