Remember your parents telling you, “you reap what you sow”, and another favorite saying “what goes around comes around.”

So here is my point, when dealing with others be upfront and honest. Deceit will cost you more in the long run than you will ever want to pay. Next, go the extra mile it will get you more in the long run than you would ever expect. Admitting that you made a mistake as oppose to trying to cover it up builds integrity with your customers. These simply things will make people believe in you, and trust you. Even in doing internet ventures you will see those that blatantly violate any and all rules of integrity. They usually don’t last to long or if so definitely are not reaping anywhere close the rewards being made by those that follow good customer services basics.

I was fortunate enough to read a book by Jerry and Ester Hicks entitled “Ask and it is given.” You couldn’t find a better book on overall good customer service. Actually the book teaches you about the Law Of Attraction. If you haven’t read it, please do so. You will learn a lot about a person you’ve been around all your life but probably know very little about. That person is the one you see in the mirror when you stand in front of it. The DaimlerChrysler AG is faced with so many options but the closest by far, as perceived by experts, is the selling of the Chrysler Group. However, some of them predict that Daimler, minus Chrysler, may not be enough to compete worldwide.

If Daimler decides to sell Chrysler, the German automaker is expected to return to what it was two decades ago: small yet proud. Most of the investors of Daimler are jubilant about the prospect of turning back the hands of time when the company is said to be more profitable than today.

For years now, the executives of the German automaker have intimated that the grand expansion strategies of the previous chief executives have created a heavy toll on Mercedes-Benz, its most precious subsidiary.

It can be recalled that Juergen Schrempp, the former CEO of the German automaker, built a global automotive giant by surrounding Mercedes with mass-market brands like Chrysler, Dodge, Kia and Mitsubishi. Edzard Reuter, Schrempp’s predecessor, paired Mercedes with aerospace and electrical appliances businesses. The said ventures have lost a hefty sum of money that Daimler has closed or sold almost all those businesses.

However, its stock has rose 30 percent to an eight-year high since Dieter Zetsche sat on the steering. But the whole automotive world was shocked when Zetsche impliedly announced in February that a sale of Chrysler was probable. Yet amidst the euphoria, a clamor is questioning whether the separation of the 1998 merger between Daimler-Benz and Chrysler is the right decision for the German automaker.

Without Chrysler, the rest of the company may not be large enough to compete with huge and efficient global automakers such as Toyota Motor Corp. “Even at the luxury end of the business, scale matters,” he said. “In our view, the original merger strategy remains sound, and it is the execution that has lagged.”

In 2006, Mercedes sold 1.25 million vehicles about more than half of Chrysler’s volume and much fewer than the 4 million-unit threshold, which is said to be the minimum needed to cope with the growing manufacturing cost.

Mercedes Benz is renowned for its heavy-truck business. By far, it is the largest with less than 600,000 units sold every year. However, it is far productive than Smart small car. With the month of March over, car manufacturers are now posting their sales for the past month. One of the car manufacturers which have reported their sales for March of 2007 is Volvo Cars of North America. The sales reports show reduced sale both in the United States and in North America as a whole. In the U.S., Volvo was reported to have sold 10,666 units for the month of March. That figure shows a 4.4 percent reduction in sales compared to March of 2006 when they sold 11,153 units in the United States and Puerto Rico combined.

Year to date sale for Volvo in the United States and Puerto Rico is now at 26,953 units and it is 5.3 percent lower from the sales for the first three months of 2006 for the same regions.

All over North America, the Ford Motor Company owned Swedish brand sold 12,002 units for the month of March 2007. That shows a 4.8 percent reduction compared to sales for March of 2006. In Canada, Volvo Cars sold 1,029 units and this is 18.4 percent lower than their sales for the same month last year. Year to date sales for the entire North America is now at 29,808 units, 5.7 percent lower than sales for the first quarter of 2006. In Canada, the year to date sales is at 2,102 units, 17.8 percent lower than the first quarter sales output for 2006.

While the Swedish brand lost ground in the United States and Canada, they have posted increased sales in Mexico. In the said country, Volvo Cars sold 307 vehicles and that is 60.7 percent more than their sales for the month of March last year. Year to date sale also improved. For the first three months of 2007, Volvo Cars sold 753 units in Mexico, 23.6 percent more than their sales for the first quarter of 2006 in the same country.
